As a chubby biroace teen, I wanna say thank you. I’m always so nervous to wear anything that even fits instead of being way too loose, but seeing Bea wear her pretty clothes and sundresses and stuff?

Bro that shit is powerful

I certainly don’t speak for everyone but I speak for myself when I say that you and your art are heroic in action and nature because you show people as they are instead of reducing their problems to what they look like.

I’ve never seen anything that looks bad on Bea and she wears her body naturally, as she should. If anyone is saying you’re problematic for making a chubby character look pretty, I think that’s more a problem they need to deal with concerning their own perspectives on how they see the people and the world around them.

Ah I would definitely not say heroic; I absolutely think that this sort of representation should be normalized and there's MANY other creators who of course do their best to create plus sized representation in the art they produce (@/sergle, @/mayakern, @/basedmoni and @/feymilde (both on twitter; not sure if they have tumblr)

But I appreciate it, and honestly it's a really good point. Anxiety just sometimes beats me over the head with a stick with these concerns, especially since I know they're heavily discussed in the fat community, which is very fair

#I've mentioned before but I myself am not plus sized and this has upset some people in the past given my MC is so yeah #that's also why i have a wiggling feeling of doubt in the back of my mind #mei responds
