i understand that you don’t want to jump into conclusions regarding this JK brand thing but come on isn’t it obvious at this point what hype is trying to do? Jungkook is not going to enlist with the rest of the group and that’s when ARMY will understand what’s going on

BTS is just way too big for the company to give up on or sideline unless the members have decided to make their solo careers their main focus. ARMYs massively prefer them as a group and are growing increasingly anxious making “jokes” about the rest of the members needing to hurry up and enlist. JK will lose a lot of ARMY support if BTS seems like they’re not getting back together and the company is focusing more on his solo career, they all will (not saying they still won’t be able to sell stadiums or that they’ll flop, but they’ll never be as big as the group). Many ARMYs are already on break waiting for 2025, you can see a massive difference in engagement on twitter compared to the likes their previous tweets used to get for example, and more ARMYs will keep dropping off the longer their bias is inactive. HYBE slapping a seven onto JK’s brand name might work for half a minute but ultimately it’s not going to replace the presence of six other members, nor is it going to suddenly make his music appeal to the legion of BTS fans who actually really love their sound. It’s also not that easy to grow a fanbase out of GP. JK is still very dependent on ARMY. And I cannot emphasize enough the value of ARMY, no other fandom does what they do and the company does not want to lose that. And there’s no way to fake a group that’s not actually there, no matter how they might try and market JK. So I don't personally think BTS is going anywhere (on top of them repeatedly saying they want to return as a group) even though I understand this perspective.

But if it’s the case that the members have decided they’re going to focus more on their solo careers going forward, I could see why HYBE would over invest in the one member they think would be most profitable for them, but I do think that support is conditional. Do you think they would have gone all out for JK if he had decided to release a self produced album full of korean ballads? I don’t. I think that support comes with some major creative constraints the others might not have wanted on their albums. On top of that, I really don’t think the other BTS members would be okay with the company only properly supporting one of them.

Like I said before, the other BTS members are incredibly and undeniably ambitious. Doesn’t Jhope already have a six month plan for his return? Taehyung is already cooking up something, Namjoon stuck around because he wasn’t satisfied after Indigo, who even knows what Jimin has been up to. The thing is, that ambition might look different for all of them. Perhaps JM is okay with getting less playlisting if he has more creative freedom and that’s the tradeoff. Jimin is kind and maybe sometimes too accommodating but he’s not a pushover, and he’s also a workaholic, a perfectionist, and very intelligent. But this is where I wish fellow ARMYs would be louder and more aggressive about wanting HYBE to support their solo music better - I’m uncomfortable with the idea they’re only going to push SB projects in the US or in general, and that’s the main issue I’m worried about right now and what I think deserves pushback. It’s not even about favoring JK, it’s about favoring certain kinds of releases and not doing the bare minimum on their end for the others. But like I said in other asks, waiting to see what happens with future solo projects.

And about JK, well. I think the other members are all still undeniably close and loving towards Jungkook. Apparently vminkook in particular have been pretty tight lately. I don’t think they would be that way if they thought he was trying to get one over on them in their careers. I also don’t think JK is that calculative, he seems really straightforward to me. He literally didn’t deny a single accusation about what Golden was and what it was aiming to do, he was blunt about it. So I just really don’t think he’s trying to mislead anyone on what his ambitions are either.

And no, I really don’t think JK is trying to distance himself from the group. Every time he introduces himself it’s “Jungkook of BTS”. He took time during Seven promotions to film a variety show with Jimin. He mentions the group and the future of the group quite a bit. Of course I think he wants to be known and seen as a soloist and his own person outside of BTS, but that was part of the goal for all of them. I think it was Namjoon who said during that dinner that they weren’t really known individually or something about that and it was one of the reasons they needed this. JK wanting to make a name for himself outside of BTS is not him trying to push away from the group.

As far as TikToks, they’re all kind of weird about it. I don’t think he asked the others because they would definitely have said yes (at least JM would have), but I don’t think he or they really care to do it either. He didn’t film many SNTY challenges because I don’t think there was actually a challenge for it? He just helped two HYBE groups who had new songs. And he and Mingyu apparently have an ongoing friendly challenge to do each other’s choreo (but are behind on each others latest songs). I think JM is more than happy to help his friends film TikTok’s if they ask, but I don’t think it’s something he cares to do that much either considering ThisIsJimin is him completely doing his own thing instead of following popular trends and challenges. I just don’t think any of them care enough to put the effort in to do a challenge together unless it just works out that way (JM and SOPE were promoting at the same time for example). Actually, despite TikTok being such a massive platform, only JK seems interested in it at all. So I just don’t read into the TikTok situation. Or maybe they did do some and they're holding them for when they enlist, idk.

As far as enlistment goes, well I really just don’t think he would repeatedly say he was planning to go soon if he wasn’t. And he’s said it quite a few times, and I think NJ said that only Jin would be here for the next FESTA. JK didn’t get a Grammy either so I don’t personally see him getting an exemption. But I guess only time will tell with that and we’re going to find out all their plans soon enough. If he doesn’t enlist though, I do think the fandom is going to get even more wild, and you might see more ARMYs uncomfortable with this whole situation than you think. I wouldn’t blame him or any of them for not enlisting now btw, many PJMs wish JM wouldn’t so I don’t think it’s fair to get mad at JK for it. But if he does enlist soon, I think that would make it pretty clear that his main priority is BTS.

And yes, the branding situation did make me uncomfortable because of everything else that has been going on. It’s just like, it’s hard not to feel a little bit that way after everything that has happened this past year. I can rationalize certain things but sometimes it’s hard not to have an emotional reaction and this year has been a lot and ultimately we’re in the dark about so much. I’m going to wait for more information and to read some more perspectives that are hopefully a bit more partial and have a little more understanding of this kind of thing because honestly I’m just out of my depth here. I will say if this is just him starting his own brand to sell cosmetics and jewelry well, that’s a pretty smart business decision any of them could do. And yeah, he’ll probably do a solo tour at some point (hopefully JM too), but circling back, I really think it’s going to be after enlistment and after their next group album. I’m going to choose to believe that for now, because I still don’t think any of them would outright lie like that, although I’d be lying if all those tour comments and questions that kept popping up didn’t have me side eyeing the situation a little. I really don’t blame the pessimism and anxiousness and cynicism at this point, obviously I fall into it sometimes too, but this is just how I see things right now after thinking on it for a minute.

Price rose very fast in rank, meaning most of his younger years he’d spent being dedicated to his work, and would have little to no time for serious relationships. If anything he’d indulge in hooks up that would happen at the many banquets and private parties organized by the army. If he were to ‘date’ anyone in his younger years it’d be for the sole reason of having someone to do romantic stuff with, to have someone to write letters to while stationed somewhere, to have someone special to visit during holidays, to have someone that knows your body better than a stranger would, but he wouldn’t be taking it seriously because at the end of the day the work he does is dangerous and having a serious relationship with someone would only put his significant other in danger.

Price would only start thinking about getting into a serious relationship once he gets a bit older and things have slowed down in both his private life and work life. He’d only date someone he’s known for years, not someone he met within a short period of time just to be sure that he can trust them and to be sure they’re taking the relationship as serious as he is because once he gets in a relationship he’s really in it for the long run.

Price likes to keep his work life and private life separated, only a handful of people would know if he was dating someone and even less people would know if were to marry someone.

If the person he’s dating happens to be in his team he’d treat them no different to how he treats any other soldier, for example you’d be sent out to train in heinous weather conditions along with the rest of the soldier, you’d get scolded if you were to mess up during a big mission, and there’s nothing but professionalism surrounding your interactions. However at some point he’s be more open to pda but even then it would only be around those closest to him.

When out in a bar with 141, he’ll put his arm behind your seat or rest his hand on your thigh, subconsciously tapping his finger or stroking the skin while listening to Soap’s drunken blabbering.

During a meeting he’ll pull his chair up next to yours, wipe at his nose to hide his smile and try to start the meeting pretending as if nothing strange had happened. If someone were to find out about your existence that shouldn’t know about it he’d lose it, tracking them down and getting rid of them.

Price wouldn’t be the type to get overly jealous or possessive. He likes to think he’s long surpassed the age for that but every once in a while he does get jealous and when that happens, he doesn’t like to make it obvious, matter of fact you can’t get him to admit for all the money in the world.

Since we're going by the logic of Jikook are not seen in public together = they have broken up, then my sister's relationship with her husband, who she has a literal child with, is FAKE, because I never see them in public!!!!!! Okay so JK went live and said the J stands for Jungkook. Right. I ended up in report pages for saying this on twitter but I will say it again. How many people do you know that tattoo their own names on themselves? No seriously. How many? I said even the most narcissistic person wouldn't do this and I got blocked and reported. But it's true. JK is not a narcissist, far from it even. He has a big heart and loves those around him and loves us Army even when we don't deserve it. That man did not tattoo his name on himself. I'd say since forever.

It's the rest of the fandom that kept trying to find excuses why it wasn't. Why it stood for everything under the sun other than the obvious. The one person that JK puts above others. The one person JK has been showing for years now that is special to him, in a way that is way beyond even the best of friendships. When you tattoo someone's name on you that is a statement. You are literally branding yourself with their name till the day you die (yes you can erase tattoos, but when you are having a tattoo done that is not what you are thinking of, in that moment in time you are painting your skin for life).

And JK did that. One sided.

He also made sure to let us know that the theories running around for years about what that J meant (you know, the army and J means all the members bullshit) were crap. Yes, he didn't tell us out loud that the J placed over the M stood for JM, but he didn't deny it either. He omitted that. Which is understandable given they are still a closeted couple and we all know that admitting to that, would be admitting to their queerness. As much as JK wants out of the closet, as much as he wants to scream blue murder that JM is his and his alone, he won't do it as long as JM isn't ready. And saying the JM is Jimin out loud, that would be outing not only himself but also the love of his life, when said love of his life is not ready for that yet. So he said the J stands for Jungkook and moved on at the speed of lightening. Without addressing the huge ass elephant in that room - why place it over the M knowing EXACTLY what it looked like? (we know the answer to that, but omitting is the name of the game - said that already).

So yeah, JK tattooed JM on his hand. For all of us to see. And he keeps touching it up. Darkening it. At times specifically those two letters.

I actually had a post in draft that is kind of redundant now, about how I noticed his JM at the airport leaving for the States.

That pinky ring, that actually isn't a pinky ring cause it's JM's ring, which he didn't wear when JM was there in NY with him, but had it back on travelling to London, JM gone back to SK, looks kinda too small even for his pinky, lol.

Now to Seven.

Like I said, JK sees Seven as a love song.

Yes, he sang the explicit version, but that's not what HE feels the song is about. And he's said it multiple times too.

I think JK is being very clear here. Pity people aren't listening to him. This, for him, is a love song.

Yes, he knows it's very sexual, but it's about being with the person you love more than anything else and wanting to make that person happy. And him saying "the love of my life" that might have been on purpose (wouldn't put it past him) or even as a slip of the tongue, but it cements how he feels about the song, that might not have been written by him, but he most definitley feels an emotional connection with. I'd say kind of like Euphoria or Only then.

And now back to the hand and to JM and their place in JK's promotions for this song.

Not coincidently, JM is laced through every single part of the promotions for this song.

He's in the photo shoot concept.

He's in the MV (yes, what can you do, they had to go with a gf and hetero love story in the MV cause JK's first solo worldwide cannot be a queer love affair MV, that's just the way the cookie crumbles... not New jeans cookie - yuck - just writing that makes me feel ewe...).

He's in the choreography

There are more similarities than those I pointed out in that post. And again, it's not about JK stealing JM's moves from SMF pt. 2 (which we know the man LUVED). It's about JM inspiring him. And believe you me, that JM knew every single step of the way. The song, the MV and the choreo.

It's in the styling (not only the photo shoot).

And JM is just there, with JK all the time, on his hand, just out there for everyone to look and see.

For those saying the J is covered, nope, it ain't. The ring band is see through, cause that's just a thing JK does.

This finger pointing, not intentional in my opinion, just a little coincidence (JK holding the mic, as he does in the GMA performance as well, but in the Explicit performance with no mic in hand he covers his face just like the backup dancers do), and yet, a lovely one at that.

This is the way JK wanted it to be. Since way back in 2019 when he added that J over the M. For everyone to see all of the time!

So, where was I?

To sum this absolutely probably unnecessary post.

JK loves JM.

JK had JM tattooed on his hand.

JK chose Seven because he liked the song (and it's really a good one) and he also connected with it on an emotional level.

JK sees the song as a love song, expressing him wanting and needing to be with the person he loves, the love of his life, constantly, and showing said person how much he loves him and wanting to make them happy.

Yes, there is an explicit version to the song, yay, they replaced "loving" with "fucking". JK sings it, finds it amusing to say the word out loud, but when asked about it, it's the clean version, the love song version that he is connected to.

JK wanted to show us, in the ways that he, as a closeted queer man can, loves JM, is inspired by JM, and that JM is a part of who he is, as a man, as an artist.

Those two may not have come up with the "you are me I am you", but they most certainly took ownership of it. And JK, he's out there showing us just how true it is.

I think maybe it's about time that army:

a. Go read the lyrics to the song and understand that even the explicit version is talking about being with one person, the one you want to make feel good 7 days a week, and not about fucking someone else every day of the week. It's called reading comprehension, I think they need a lesson in that.

b. For once, even just once, listen to what JK is saying, what he's been saying ever since he started the promotion for this song.

This one is for JKKs and PJMs. Try, for just one second, to put your feelings about the way JM's solo debut was treated BY THE COMPANY, and see with untainted glasses just how much this man loves JM. JM is the love of his life. JK would NEVER do something to disrespect or hurt JM. JK is trying to show us just how much JM is a part of who he, JK, is. He's trying to show us how much he is inspired by JM. How much he loves him. All this anger you are holding towards JK you need to let it go. I MEAN DAMN have we not gone over this, like, several times? (In case you're new to this house elf situation we have here, yes. YES WE HAVE.) We have talked about Jungkook's tattoos at GREAT LENGTH. Well, I have, as far back as a while ago, most recently along about here but also here and here and here and several other places. There is zero tag organization in this house, I don't know what else to tell you.

Anywho Jungkook's tats do not, as nearly as I can tell, mean this:

Because, like the nice graphic above says that I just edited, THIS IS FAN-MADE BULLSHIT. I dunno who made it but I suspect the addition of the J upset some folk enough to need to make JeiKei's motivation anything OTHER than Jimin. Because, as we know, he started out with his ink like this:

Yes, that is a pic someone ripped off. I don't like using it. But it's what we have, and it's years later, and it's been out there for a long time, don't shoot. But I have expounded more than once on why it makes NO SENSE to GO BACK LATER to add one letter to a near-complete hand piece. It doesn't. And that A is not, never has been, a V. In Korea you can go literally anywhere and see Samsung logos, Shilla hotel logos, and of course Jimin's dad's cafe' all using that stylized A with no crossbar.

And I think it's pretty clear what JK thinks the JM means. It means Jimin. Ji Min. JM. DUH. And just like his "rather be dead than cool / make hay while the sun shines" crossword ON HIS ARM, he has a crossword on his hand. A very obvious crossword. Who he loves is written for all of us to see: ARMY, and JM. And lest I forget about that crown:

It actually makes more sense than one J for four people and four letters for three. But we're not here for that. Occam's Razor tells us that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, and the simplest explanation is the one that's got bitches tearing their hair out. Because THEY KNOW. They KNOW that JM means Jimin, and they HATE IT. (And so what, to quote JeiKei directly. We're gonna talk about fan hate today, too, just... not in this post).

MEANWHILE JUNGKOOK is always showing us his hand, too, have you noticed? Ever since he got the tattoos, but I think more in the last year. It's gotten really pronounced since the PTD dates.

Jeon Jungkook does what Jeon Jungkook wants, and what he wants is for us to pick up what he's been throwing down since, oh, FOREVER but even more recently. Thanks for the feedback! I was just thinking about adding to this, so this came at the perfect time. I think everyone’s reaction oscillate between outrage about how stupid Spider was by doing this and how how shocked that he was even capable of doing this.

Jake doesn’t not know how to respond, apart from in a very concerned (yet angry) fatherly way. He absolutely doesn’t understand why Spider needs to do this & as Jake is from earth, naturally, the very idea of anyone becoming a child soldier is abhorrent. With all the emotions, Spider’s logic as to why he’s doing this (“This is my home, If I have an opportunity to defend it I will fight every time”) doesn’t get through to him and he ends up dismissing Spider’s beliefs and wants because “he’s just a kid”. Spider eventually gets fed up with this behaviour and decides that since Jake doesn’t want to treat him like he isn’t a perfectly capable combatant, He won’t treat Jake like he’s a General.

SIDE NOTE: Can we all take a moment to realise that Jake had no business leading a long-term campaign against an invading force much stronger than anything Pandora has faced. At best, he should be an advisor or strategist. This man won one fight with the RDA, and that’s only because a Literal God decided to step in. There is a reason he is a corporal - he doesn’t have mindset or skills required to lead a large army against an enemy like the RDA, over the course of what likely will a decade or more. So far, we have seen no attempts to gain intelligence from Bridgehead, develop new and improve existing techniques for eliminating RDA forces (i.e. new weapons & tactics) or even any development in utilising Electronic warfare against the enemy. Rant over.

Neytiri. Is a complicated story. Yes, she is outraged by Spider’s decision for the same reasons as Jake. However, She rationalises by the ‘demon blood’ argument, that this is how Spider will destroy the People by becoming like his father. She denies being at fault for pushing Spider down this path in the first place, reasoning that he didn’t need to become a murderer - he just needed to leave the People alone. She believes the tattoos and Viking braid to be a way to mock the People, which almost causes a fight after they return to High Camp but Jake is there to stop his mate from doing something stupid. Which was good, because Spider was very much ready to throw hands down and fight Neytiri. He could never forgive what she said, and now she wants to attack him over the identity he has come into on his own - yeah, that would end in Neytiri being KO’d. Spider honestly doesn’t care for what she has to say to him, since he doesn’t really care for her opinion since it often revolves around insulting him in some way.

The Sully Kids are very clearly worried for spider but still think it’s cool that He is fighting for his homeland. they wish that they spent more time with him and socialised with him more over the last few months, but they simply didn’t want to aggravate their mother. Looking back on it, they deeply regret not hanging out with him more, because now they can’t really recognise the Spider that they knew in him. Kiri is slightly more upset than the others, because she knows that he is pulling away from Eywa - she can feel it. She begs for Spider to abandon all of this and to rejoin them, reassuring him that her mother will be better towards him. Spider doesn’t believe it though. He likes this version of him - it’s something he was developed and he now feels comfortable as the person he is now. He tells Kiri this much, which prompts Neteyam, Lo’ak & Tuk to step in and try to convince him to give it all up. Spider just walks off, because he can’t possibly handle the sting of this betrayal. He can’t hate his friends for not understanding him, but this is who he is and they will need to accept that.

Norm is absolutely against it. He shuffles between lecturing spider, shouting at him for being so completely stupid & grounding spider from his privileges (access to the workshop, the armoury and gun range, his scorpion, etc. ). Norm has zero grounds to do any of this, because he hasn’t been caring for spider as soon as Max took on that responsibility full time. Before Spider can loose his cool, Max steps in and for the first time in years for Max, He begins cussing out Norm and screaming that Norm has no right to tell Spider what to do and that if he ever starts screaming at his boy again, he will [Blanked out, due to the unspeakable things and threats my mind just conjured up at the thought of Max threatening somebody]. Norm is speechless, his jaw is on the flaw. He has never heard Max swear or act violent in their time knowing each other, so Norm flounders for at least enough time for Max to take Spider away to somewhere safe.

Just as another thing, This would be the first time that Max outright declares Spider his Son. Everybody knew it by this point, but since there was no reason to state something everyone knew (or at least the scientists), it was never said. It was only spoken and declared between Max and Spider when they were together.

Mo’at deserves her own post. I’m putting it in the works to write - so bare with me, please. 

In terms of Spider being captured, he does not. When the recom’s show up, Quaritch cannot believe that this is his son. He was worried that his son would look some hippy but this is frankly worse. A tatted up, heavily scarred, blonde-haired white boy, covered in all black fatigues and strapped with three different weapons was not what he had in mind - and he did not like it. When Jake and Neytiri come to the rescue, Spider took that as an opportunity to distract the recoms and start mowing them down with their own guns. He refused to have Neytiri of all people save him. He was only her because Lo’ak invited him and Spider only accept because he knew that Lo’ak was going to get everyone killed so he should tag along to stop him before that happens. Quaritch is in complete awe about how terrifying his son is (“That boy is a true Quaritch right there!”), but he has to retreat because he will in fact die and if what his son is shouting at him - he will die very slowly.

This is an incredibly long post for me to right, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. If anybody wants to send in more asks, I will gladly answer them. However, I’m exhausted from a long day of work and writing so I’m gonna nap for a bit.

FAR CRY AND USING RED FOR THEIR VILLAINS AND 'VILLAINS'

almost all of the (main) far cry games uses red to show who's the enemy (like most games, really!), and i wanna point out that it even expands to the other characters and overanalyze their wardrobe. long post under the cut

IN FAR CRY 3:

pirates wear red and so does their leader vaas who wears his #iconique red tanktop. coincidentally jason views vaas as the ultimate villain who he has to kill.

Hoyt wears a red shirt under his jacket, which if you think about could be kinda read as him being on the inside/the real guy pulling the strings underneath the surface of what jason previously know about.

"But what about Buck?" you ask, "He wears blue, which since Jason also wears blue, should mean he's one of the 'good guys'?" well yes and no. Technically, Buck does try to be buddy buddy with Jason, multiple times even, so the blue shirt as trying to fake being your friend fits. However, Buck's chest tattoo is red, and it's literally inked into his skin and is obvious to Jason and for anyone to see that he is clearly not our friend.

Privateers also don't have any red in their color schemes, but i feel this might be a sign that at that point, Jason didn't actually have to be on the island and kill privateers.

IN FAR CRY 4:

both the royal army and the royal guards wear red colored uniforms.

Pagan wears a pink suit, which isn't exactly red, but then again, he isn't inherently antagonistic towards Ajay, who may not view Pagan as the villain at all, depending on the player's choice on letting him go or not. I would also argue Pagan's pink suit also foreshadows his retirement from the dictatorship role, he's just biding his time and not really actively doing anything.

Notice that his shoes are red though and he did take very particular offense that they got ruined when he killed a guy, so Pagan very much still is a villain

Compare this to Paul de Pleur, who wears a red shirt, or Noore's red sash. "but, but noore was doing it because she was forced! she isn't ACTUALLY evil!" yeah that's what the sash is for, it's an add-on to her original outfit, as opposed to de Pleur's shirt that he covers with the blue vest.

(also i do think noore deserves a whole lot of credit as a villain for what she did, even if she was cornered into that position. she DID kill and pimp out pretty much anyone she can get her hands on. she DID kill innocent kids to save her own. not saying i wouldn't do it if i was in her shoes, but on a 'good-bad' spectrum noore is definitely not on the good anymore.)

Yuma's a bit tricky cus she also doesn't have any red color scheme, instead her hair's pink just like Pagan's color. So was it like... she's just copying Pagan? That her previously 'evil' actions were set in motion YEARS before it could have any effect to Ajay's present journey to find Lakshmana now so the color has faded to pink? Maybe. But she IS obsessed with being Kalinag and became Kalinag in Ajay's hallucination when he had to kill her, and Kalinag does have a red color scheme.

FC4 is great cus both Sabal and Amita also has red in their wardrobe which is great foreshadowing.

Sabal's red is fittingly on his prayer beads, and he used religion to slaughter people in his ending;

while Amita's red is on her boots, and she eventually rules over people, demanding lands to be used as drug fields.

FAR CRY 5 gets a loud boooo because none of the seeds have red in their wardrobe. some peggies are tatted with red ink, and the Eden's Gate flag is red, but like, WHERE'S THE CONSISTENCY UBISOFT!

FAR CRY 6 actually goes back to Far Cry 3 in terms of character design (red = evil, blue = good) with how the libertad wears blue and the FND wears red.

Anton, like Hoyt, wears a red shirt (and even a red tie!) under a suit. Notice that it's a white suit this time. He's covering up his mistreatment of Yarans producing Viviro with propaganda and an attempt to look squeaky clean to foreigners.

Diego wears the same uniform, out of duty, but in his civilian clothing (which you see at the start of the game), he's wearing a blue jacket-- he wants to be good. Unfortunately, he can't, as his red sneakers indicate, everywhere he steps death follows, because he is still a Castillo. and you know what Anton says to him?

fortunately (or unfortunately), Diego wasn't the only one who wears red on their shoes on that boat, so he isn't the only one to blame for bringing death. you know who else has red on their shoes?

THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, DANI ROJAS THEMSELVES WEARS RED LACED SNEAKS. Dani is the ONLY survivor of the boat other than Diego, and once they set foot on that boat with her, Lita's fate was sealed.

Additionally... in the FC6 DLC, we see the villains of 3-5 again, and they were still wearing their original outfits... but note that Vaas shows up again at the end of his DLC, and we see that his red tank has faded, and he's wearing a green army jacket on top of it now. he's still a villain by some standards, but he's moved on from being just the leader of the pirates in Rook Islands.

P.S if ubisoft ever makes another continuation, i wonder what color they'll use for the protag's outfit cus they've already went with blue (jason) > green (ajay) > yellow (dani) and they usually reserve red for the enemies. im team purple myself.

Analyzing "Demon in the Wood" (book) - Part 3

That's both amazing and creepy.

Imagine being so ancient that you have actually met those figures. While children in the future were being told fairytales at night, the Darkling lived inside those fairytales. He was part of them.

(It's like saying: "Oh my favorite fairytale is Cinderella!" and a guy next to you says: "Oh that girl? Yeah, met her. Not as pretty as they all say". And in the meantime, the story of Cinderella takes place at 1600s💀💀)

Baba Anezka appeared in "Little Knife".

Petyr of Brevno is a freaking Saint. The patron of archers.

Magda of the Black Woods appeared in "The Witch of Duva" and is a Saint as well. The patroness of bakers and abandoned women.

And Eryk has met them. (let that sink in)

Besides that, the obvious secretive life of Grisha is so painfully clear that antis seem to purposefully miss it. They need to seek each other by listening to rumors and looking in secret while most Grisha try to not be found at all.

Antis: "The Darkling forced Grisha to become soldiers and go to war!!"

And then accuse us for not reading the books.🙂

Before the Little Palace was built, the Grisha had no lives, with dignity and normality. They were living hidden in whatever they could find. Nothing was "permanent", like Eryk said in the Graphic Novel, always on the move and in fear. Trying to not draw attention to themselves out of fear of being exiled, killed, imprisoned, sold, tortured or experimented on.

Then the Darkling convinced the then-King of Ravka to allow him to build a home for them (after going to war for him). And when the Darkling went to find the Grisha, they were afraid of coming out of their hiding.

What if it was a trap from the King? What if they were killed?

Very few went with him and became soldiers because it was the only way for Ravka to accept them. Ravka was constantly involved in wars, so for Grisha to be soldiers was the only acceptable position they could have in this kingdom.

So no, Aleksander didn't make them soldiers because he didn't care for their fates. But because there was literally no other duty they would be allowed to carry. Become traders? No one would board their ship. Instead they would be captured. Become merchants? No one would buy from them. Instead they would be killed. Soldiers? Well yeah, because with their powers they would prove that they could be trusted with the safety of the kingdom. A safety the otkazat'sya needed. To fight the wars that the First Army couldn't win. Becoming servants of the Crown was their only option (and yes, the Darkling was also a servant of the Crown).

Okay I got this out of my chest 😭

Eryk seems really resigned that things will change. He's thirteen and hope for a change is bleak for him. He has seen first hand how low Grisha are in the "food chain". An ethnic group forsaken by everyone else.

His love for animals is so cute!!

I just imagine him standing down hidden and admiring wild animals from afar.

He just wanted to satisfy his needs. Stay at one place and go exploring and looking for tigers.

(The Darkling with any animal: "I just think it's NEAT!")

Also, his mother's "lessons" really annoy him. And it seems they do this wherever they go and with whoever they meet(?). Nevertheless, Aleksander was a brilliant child that grew to become a clever tactician and leader. Whenever his plans didn't work out in the Grisha trilogy, it was because he was letting his heart and feelings rule over his mind (aka: the whole Alina situation).

Baghra: "Aww you seem to really grow accustomed with power"

Baghra when her son gained power and position: "HELLO?? 911??"

He didn't let just anyone read it. Only to the girl he fell in love with. Perhaps he did it to gain her trust back. Or out of his love of her. Or because he thought of her worthy to know it. She proved to be strong and also caring. She wouldn't betray his trust and let others know it.

Or perhaps she gave his name to her so it wouldn't be forgotten.

And yet he allowed both to Alina. It's not about him forgetting what his mother had taught him. But giving in to his feelings out of a desire to love and to be loved.

He loves evergreens 🥺

And let's not forget that he loved the forests so much that he decorated his room with it:

Leigh explained in a Tumblr ask why she had the Darkling's room decorated with trees. I'll repost it one day for you.

The way he was socially awkward as a kid and no one talks about it. When you have your mom telling you to stay away from people and peers then you don't socialise that much and (after a while) you don't how to properly do it.

Is he supposed to be friendly?

His mother's constant warnings have made him confused about how to talk with other children.

So he was making efforts to make friends and play but Baghra fucked this up and then he simply stopped trying. Reminds me how Leigh said that after losing his lovers, he stopped trying to be in relationships.

I feel sorry for Annika, man

She's not my favorite character in this book but I find her one of the most intriguing ones.

She has seen things. Lev hasn't. It's probable that he spent all his life inside that camp. But he definitely hasn't seen the way drüskelle hunt Grisha. Annika has and the way she's so overprotective with her sister shows how she can't afford to lose someone else too 😔

The evil villain was ready to defend a little otkazat'sya girl that he barely knew from a bully that insulted her.

Yup. We must hate him.

That just confirms my previous thoughts about how some Grisha only let the strong ones inside their camps. They can't afford to take anyone in. They only need more strength and protection not just random people.

Of course it's a possibility that the Ulle allows them to live there because he feels sorry for them. Throwing out a family is no easy thing.

The way he seems to care for the underdogs. Perhaps because, even though he had great powers, he too felt like one.

How he wanted to sound like: "LEAVE US ALONE!!"

How he probably sounded like: "leave us alone, okay?"

The Darkling is confirmed that he was a victim of bullying as a child.

It's such a far cry from the man that is portrayed in the trilogy. As a child we see him defending two girls (one of them otkazat'sya), he was bullied, he seemed giddy in the prospect of having a stable home and friends and showed regret and sadness when an otkazat'sya village was destroyed. As an adult he's a terrifying leading figure that inspires loyalty and respect and rarely shows his emotions.

It seems that somewhere down the line he hardened his heart, matured and learned and repressed any emotion that could sabotage his plans and heart.

Fuck immortality.

And he's so worried that he fucked up his hopes to stay at camp. He always worries that he'll ruin things. That he's a failure and a disaster for his mother and her plans.

Also, the way he's so afraid that they will fear him and run away from him. He does it "warily" so he still hasn't gotten used that. 😔

The feeling of someone holding his hand is strange to him. He doesn't know the feeling and hasn't been accustomed to it.

He wants to trust her and keeps finding good things in her as if he's trying to find reasons to do it.

So, contrary to popular belief, I don't think the Darkling was thriving and cheering inside of him for having so many secrets in TGT. Secrets are burdens you have to carry. He gave a personal one to Alina (his name) and he revealed some of his plans to her in S&B and S&S. He was a secretive person because he had to (and because he wanted to be one step ahead) but not because he enjoyed it.

That could have been the beginning of a beautiful friendship (or even a future cute romance, who can say?) but, alas, Grisha were living shit lives and were too desperate and scared.

What colour is their hair?

Black, but he has natural strands of white

How long is their hair?

In its natural state, it rests at his waist, but if flat ironed, it’s down to her ankles. Yes, she has been asked to cut it, and no, she will not.

Does it cooperate? Is it frizzy? Does it stay in place?

It cooperates for the most part. He doesn’t spend too much styling it (he doesn’t know how).

Reghan is very particular about his hair though and knows what products to use when washing it and as a daily moisturiser.

How do they usually wear their hair?

When on missions, he either has it braided or in a bun. When he’s at home/base, he lets that shit roam free.

Do they play with their hair? What about when they’re upset or nervous?

Reghan is always fiddling with her hair even when she isn’t nervous. That being said, Captain Price knows when she’s getting restless if she’s moving her hair around a lot.

What is their eye colour?

Gold. it is literally the gold equivalent to the blue eyed stare, especially since his skin is much darker in contrast.

Him and Johnny purposely stare at everyone intensely. (Reghan taps out as soon as the person makes eye contact though)

How would you describe what their features look like?

He has surprisingly soft facial features, but nobody notices until they get a proper look at him, but her muscles and height make her seem rougher.

Do they have any piercings?

Reghan has a few ear piercings and has a fake septum ring that he wears some days.

Do they have any tattoos?

Both his arms and legs are COVERED in tattoos. What most people don’t know is that he brings his sibling Basil with him to numb the area getting tattoos because he will cry otherwise.

His hands are pretty rough and have a few scars from being in the military

Yes, but he tries to tone it down if he’s just gotten his nails done.

Do they pick at their skin or at scabs?

She picks at her skin. She used to pick at her scabs, but Price started spraying her with water every time to break the habit since Reghan would bleed depending on how bad it was.

Are they very tall?

Yes. Reghan is still holding onto that title as the tallest in the army.

She’s very strong as well, more than she is aware. She has playfully pushed someone and sent them flying. Since then he has been extra careful with how he is with his teammates.

Even though she towers over everyone, she’s very cuddly. He usually lays down on top of Soap when they’re cuddling, but only rests the upper half of her body on him so she doesn’t accidentally crush him to death.

So, I used to pretty active here, some of you might remember me. I'm not an army anymore but I still have a soft spot for jikook so I occasionally check on what they've been up to, but I don't delve deep at all and miss a lot of stuff. In the past few days however I was overcome by a sudden jikook-missing wave and started going through some of my tags from when my blog was active which made me miss them even more (and also made me realize that the overwhelming majority of the blogs I used to reblog from have since deactivated or just stopped posting/turned their blogs into something else, which was a bit sad). So I went to the jikook tag and started browsing a bit to see what was going on in the shipdom. I was a bit surprised to see how little activity there is in the tag compared to a few years ago, and there seems to be quite a mess going on: extremely polarized views compared to before, dubious amounts of delulu theories, and especially a lot of jikookers dropping the ship for one reason or another, although most or the reasons given make little sense to me (yes, I did see THAT post and all I'm gonna say is.. yikes). And like, you do you. We don't have to agree on everything. You know more than I do anyway lol, since I don't follow jikook closely. But there was one specific thing that kinda baffled me. The JM tattoo discourse. I'm late to the party, I know. I'm sure a lot was said at the time, but I wasn't around back then checking the tag. I was vaguely aware that jk talked about his tattoos in a live, and claimed the ARMY tattoo on his hand referred to armys (duh) and the J referred to Jungkook (makes sense). I literally didn't think anything of it at all at the time, I just thought it was nice of him to explain the meaning of his tats. But while scrolling through the jikook tag these past few days I realized that quite a lot of people considered that to be some sort of "debunking" that the JM stands for Jimin, sometimes to the point of dropping the ship because of it, or considering it the ultimate proof that jikookers have lost it if they still believe it stands for jimin and are now moving like teakookers or whatever. And I'm just, confused. I was like where is the debunking. Now. I'm not one for delulu theories. I think they can be fun sometimes, and I used to reblog some of them from time to time but for the most part I just thought they were cringe and always preferred to focus on jikook's actual actions and words (I never really actually cared if they were "real" or not, I just love their relationship and have enough reasons to believe they have feelings for each other and are attracted to each other, but how they deal with these feelings and attraction isn't really any of my business). However, the JM thing. I wasn't even aware it was considered a theory. For me it's just.. there. His ring finger literally spells out JM. Not a theory, it's a fact. Jk knows that JM is frequently used to refer to jimin, we literally have abundant proof of it. Jimin knows it. Armys know it. So unless you think Jungkook is a complete idiot who has somewhat never realized how that's gonna be perceived (which is possible I guess, but very unlikely), it was obviously deliberate. However, I never, ever, ever for a second thought that Jungkook would ever "confirm" it verbally one day. I see it as a statement on its own, that doesn't require an explanation and will never get one because it doesn't need one. It's just there, it speaks for itself, you can just choose whether you wanna see it or ignore it. So I was just puzzled to see people think there was any "debunking" going on. He didn't lie. Of course the M is part of ARMY. Of course the J is for Jungkook. But the JM is still for Jimin. He's not gonna say it because there is no need for him to. In a way, it's comparable to gcft. It's all there for everyone to see, and he knows it, but he's never gonna spell it out. He's never gonna say this is my love declaration for Jimin in video format. He doesn't need to, you'll see it on your own if you're open to it.

I really mean no offense but I feel that sometimes some people go so hard with the whole "I am SKEPTICAL because I'm smart and not a delulu shipper like you and I don't wanna be associated with you clowns" that it ends up circling back to being delusional except in the opposite direction. Apparently some of you genuinely think he just happened to put the J above the M, on his ring finger, and it just HAPPENS to read JM vertically. He also concidentally happens to never cover up the J with rings, and regularly gets the JM touched up but not the other letters (and I DID think jikookers were being delusional about this at first, but it kept happening and became undeniable so what was the point of denying it, I thought). Dang, girl, you almost have me feeling sorry for Jungkook. Well, the man does love music. And OMG, does he love to sing.

I don't have the time or inclination to be an akgae, but if I did, I would do everything in my power to get NLG--masterpiece that it is--in front of as many people as possible.

Fortunately. I don't have a lot of power. Maybe I could solicit some friends to do a TikTok dance challenge. It would consist of us rocking back and forth and shouting, go,go,go,go,go,go,go,go,go,go,go! Easy-peasey, lemon squeeezy, Just the level we could carry off after a few beers.

I'd post long tirades on X and all other platforms, calling out the haters, because JK already explained why NLG is short and unfinished, poor darling, and he hopes we support it anyway, and it is so super sweet how much he love his fans, isn't it?

(Btw, can you imagine any other professional musician doing that? Releasing unfinished music and then giving excuses to your fans while asking them to buy it?)

Did my post not come across as sincere?!? To be perfectly frank, I really don't get the hype around JK. He strikes me as being just a hair above average, with the advantage of having had a lot of voice lessons. He's like the kid who gets a solo in the church choir or the lead in the high school musical. Good, but not great.

Here's the deal. I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, but I don't lose my shit if I hear one of her songs. I don't begrudge her success. I don't mind that other people love her. I literally don't care about her one way or another. And that's how I should feel about Jungkook, too, if only his career wasn't being launched at the expense of Jimin's. In my humble opinion, Jimin is the only one out the seven who has a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding in the US as a solo artist. Put all seven on equal footing and then let's see how they do.

You're dead on about releasing and making excuses for a bad song. It's sooooo unprofessional. But it doesn't really matter since his fandom eats up whatever he releases. The JJK comments I've read on Twitter in the last 24 hours are absolutely unhinged. Apparently, he is grossly neglected by both the company and ARMY!!!

Why Jk pretend to love army so much? Because he knows he's rapidly converting them just to his solo stans. Attention he gives them now is a huge investment for himself.

Why JK pretend to love his hyungs ? Because even if his 'one and only pop star' dream fails,which won't as hybe is throwing money on everything he touches, he still has a big brand of bts to fall back on to.

Jk has ARMY tattooed on his hand. That's beyond pretending.

Put yourself in his shoes and forget the hate for a bit.

He started his career at at 15. He left his home and parents and grew up with his hyungs who were still figuring stuff out too so sometimes their behavior was a little off. They were kids as well!

But then he gets fans that love him and support him, give him gifts, and shower him with praise and compliments. They became his security blanket.

This year, especially, we got to see his love for the fans. It goes above him wanting to get support (which he does and that's fair) but he literally depended on army and it was obvious to non haters that he enjoyed that time he spent with the fans. I still think he does.

All idols spend time with their fans, no matter how obnoxious the fans are, because they care on some level and because it's their job. I believe Jk cares more than others. I don't see why Jk is evil for doing what he should be doing and for having fun while doing it.

If those fans convert to solo stans, then they convert to solo stans because they decided to do so. You are obviously a solo stan but no one told you to become one.

And I don't know why you think he is pretending he loves his hyungs. All the guys have lived though so much for 10 years and the love they have for each other is real. I'll group you with 6 other people and put you through some crazy and amazing and sad life experiences for 10 years and I bet you will love those people too.

He has described each of his hyungs as different things and they each play a role in his life. How is that pretending if that is exactly how life works?

Even if being a solost fails and even if BTS fails and even if the fans fail, Jk and the rest of the members have each other.

All of this is common sense, really. I get it if you are angry at things but hating for no reason is ridiculous and if you want to do it, do it in your own blog with people who have no concept of how human relationships work.

“Kookie, Hurry! I don’t want to miss the program!” you shout from the hallway trying to put on your sandals. 

“Yeah, yeah! Don’t order me around. This wouldn’t happen if I weren’t here.” he scoffs, raising to similar-looking sneakers. 

“Which do you think is best?”

“Yah! I told you to tone the Jung Kook down. Army might recognize you.” you ogle him.

He’s wearing a pastel green tea with geometric shapes top and khaki cargo shorts that wants to scream for attention but at least it doesn’t scream Jung Kook. 

“I am! Isn’t this too bright for Jung Kook?” he tilts his head and asks.

“Hmmm, you kinda look like Hobi.” you laugh. 

“What about your tattoo though?”

“I got it covered…. literally.” he laughs while holding an arm cast long enough to meet the ends of his shirt sleeve. 

“My Kookie is a genius. But I really hope we could’ve just attended the Army Birthday event as us.” 

“I hope so too baby. Maybe in the future.” he smiles 

“Now help me put this on so we can get going.”

Both of you try to put in on and finally cave into watching a YouTube tutorial.

While walking to the garage, you suddenly realize. “Wait, so who’s gonna drive?” 

“Good question baby.” he smiles as he pulls his car keys out of his pocket and tosses them to you.

You finally reach the public park that holds a small BTS & ARMY exhibit, bazaar, and game stalls. You both agreed to keep it low-key to avoid catching the attention of people. Jung Kook agreed on wearing a black mask and snapback that covers his eyes. He also didn’t wear his usual piercings and most of all, to avoid slip-ups he told you one of the funniest requests he ever made. 

“Call me Soo-hyun.” he looks him dead in the eye and burst out laughing inside the car.

“Are you insane? Why can’t I just call you Baby like I always do.”

“Hmmm….. What if you get lost or I get lost? You can’t go around calling out baby.” 

You laugh “That’s if you get lost. I won't leave your side… baby.” you emphasize and lean on his shoulders. 

“Okay. Let’s go! Don’t want to miss the flashmob performance.”

He sees the sparkle in your eyes, something he has adored every since he first laid his eyes on you during a fanmeet. You greeted all the boys with a wide smile, offering them a letter and mouthful of thank yous. Heck, you even cried in front of Suga, saying you adore him for his passion and hard work. He quickly panicked once you started sobbing and held your hands telling you it was okay. Jung Kook saw the whole thing sitting next to his Hyung. He made a mental note to make you smile the moment you moved in front of him, but he was the one who was shocked. You handed him a crochet figure of what seemed to be a banana milk bottle and a small bunny clinging to it. Let’s just say everything that followed was history.

Now here you are, celebrating July 9 together, secretively attending an Army event. He wasn’t supposed to be here, but he was the one who insisted to go with you. Jung Kook says he wants to celebrate such a special day celebrated by the people he loves. 

Although you both wanted to enjoy the day freely, he watched everything from a safe distance. 

“We made it just in time.” the familiar intro of Idol starts playing as you see people from the flashmob gather in a formation.

“Ohooo, Army dances so well.” he says in amusement. 

“It's because BTS dances so well too.” you say back

“I’d show you my moves if I weren’t injured.” he said winking and lifting his faux cast. 

“Y/N, baby, go dance… for me.”

You look up at him, big eyes peeking from his cap, and squint your eyes. 

“Hmmm, maybe tonight. It’ll be a special show.” you wink back.

The intro to Permission to Dance starts playing as the Armys part of the flashmob performance forms a circle. Some of them were actually inviting bystanders to join. To your advantage, Jung Kook’s cast seemed to make the two of you invisible. 

“Baby, can you take a photo of me watching from the back? Make it look candid,” he said handing his phone to you, which you gladly take and snap a photo of him. 

“For memory.” he said when you handed the phone back to him.

You and Jung Kook continue walking around the park and decided to seat on a park bench in a more empty part of the park. You both got corndogs to snack on, but of course, Jung Kook uses his cast situation as an excuse so you can feed him instead. And you do, but not without rolling your eyes at him. 

“Are you happy?” you ask him as he turns his head to you. 

He’s looking like a baby with some ketchup and mustard on the side of his lips ask he flashes his bunny grin. 

“Of course, I’m with you and I get to be close to Army on their special day.” 

“C’mon let’s go home as much as I want to go. I want to celebrate Army day with my favorite Army.” he winks.
