i’m sure the grown ass adults that have been groomed as adults by people who were, say, their bosses, older family members, or older partners feel SO overjoyed at you making a post telling them that they’re using the wrong word for their trauma. you care SO much about real life victims that’s why your post was raising awareness about real life grooming and not about a more than decade old video game

1.) Again, that’s not grooming, that’s manipulation. There’s a difference. Grooming happens when a power dynamic between an adult and a MINOR is clearly inappropriate. It doesn’t even have to be sexual in nature however and unfortunately most of the time it is. When an ADULT coerces another ADULT it’s just that. Coercion and manipulation. Because an adult has, generally, a grip on what is morally and socially right and wrong they can’t be ‘groomed’ or as the old awful saying goes ‘teach em while their young.’ Grooming is shaping a CHILD to the gratification of whatever adult is preying on them. Manipulation and Grooming are two different things.

2.) Ya know how I know? I was groomed at the age 5 by my uncle, who no one in the family but my mom believed could do such a thing, but then went on to do the literal same thing to his own minor daughters years later. And because of that and coming to terms what was done to me I was able to get out of a relationship with a partner that was just as manipulative. See how I said manipulated because as an adult (neurodivergent and mentally ill as well) was still able to be aware of the clear power imbalance between the two of us (me being neurodivergent and sexually inexperienced at 24 and him being a self admitted ‘troll’ with much more sexual experience than I a virgin, spoiler alert real life trolls are just as awful irl as they are on the internet in my experience.) and before it got to bad I was able to get the fuck out. Only took him back once for like a month and then it was splitsville for real.

I understand my situation to some people could be relatively tame. But trauma is trauma baby, and that shit leaves deep deep scars that even today in my 32 years of existence still struggle DEEPLY with. A huge fuckin chunk thanks to my uncle who now rots in jail, and truly hope he dies there. The man in many ways has ruined my life as a happy healthy human who can trust and love freely, but here we are. 32 aroace who can’t form meaningful relationship (especially with irl men) because that fucker shattered my trust. (Not to mention the slew of shitty friends.)

So I’m sorry ANON, but who the hell are you to tell me what I know from first hand experience.

When I was at high school we did a version of Joan of Arc that was set at the end of the world. A dystopia, about a burning world and royalty and love. That play would have probably done damn well with a non-binary Joan actually, because so much of that narrative was about bodily autonomy, about being forced to be impregnated, to carry on the population. About forced femininity. A Joan who doesn't feel right in their own skin already, even before the whole dystopia thing - it would have worked.

I'm saying this cause this story has been adapted for years and will continue to be adapted long after you're gone. There's been at least seven films and presumably countless other pieces of media about her.

Hamlet, Othello, Lear, Macbeth, Malvolio, kings and queens, Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, Coriolanus. Royalty, historical icons, real or not. They've all been queered or cross-cast. All their stories have been told in beautiful, different, interesting ways - ways that have unlocked discussion, created different narratives, explored their worlds in a way that makes them feel more alive than just some sentences on a page. How does Malvolio become more sympathetic as a woman? What does queering do to the story of Macbeth? What happens if Puck is non-binary?

Adaptation brings stories back to life, and reignites passion in a subject.

Hell, I've played a crosscast Prospero on stage. Taking a role that's historically masculine and splitting it between two (then) cis-identified woman actors? That's giving characters layers you didn't expect.

I, Joan is not erasing the historical woman. It's providing a different angle on the story. Y'all sound like those guys who get mad when there's a lead woman in a video game by whining about the character using they/them pronouns and having complicated gender feelings. Oh no, one portrayal of a person is doing a different thing? Shock horror. The world's going to end. Fucking get over yourselves.

No real person ever is going to google Joan of Arc and think "omg she was non-binary" because of this play. it's not erasure, it's adaptation. it's expression, it's THEATRE, not the real world. it's not "literally 1984". - because a) most of yall who say something's like 1984 have never read it, and b) people aren't trying to tell you that Joan of Arc wasn't a cis woman. They're saying "if you think the abstract concept of Joan being non-binary is interesting, come and see this play". And I do. I find that idea very interesting.

If anything, a young person seeing this play could very easily become interested in the real Joan of Arc's story and seek it out after seeing the play.

Adaptation breeds discussion and creativity. It interests audiences in things that they mightn't have cared about. I'm not going to see a play about my hometown's history because I don't really care about it, but I'd see a play that discusses the queer icons that grew up here, cause there's something relatable to latch onto.

TERFs, radfems, whatever the fuck you call yourselves now - you're not helping. You're not making theatre better or art better or making the world safer or standing up for women, you're harming people.

Honestly the constant discourse about Kyman, as someone who ships it, is kinda making me want to distance myself from what used to be my OTP. People speaking ill of Kyman shippers is working on me and starting to make me worry that I'm doing something wrong by shipping it. Fandom discourse these days is insane. Unhinged, even. The idea that anyone is more morally correct than someone else for what they ship and enjoy in fiction is absolutely ludicrous. Especially within the context of shipping fucking South Park characters.

The hard truth is that every fandom is like this now. You don't have shipping wars just arguing over what makes more sense 'in canon', but moving on to an ever-changing line of what is and isn't 'morally acceptable.' As if that's ever something the majority of people would ever agree on. (Hint: it's not!)

But there is a certain irony to see people arguing this for South Park of all things, as if we aren't all equally degenerate for enjoying such a 'problematic' show in the first place. Like... seriously. Be so serious, people. It's South Park. Everything is exaggerated for comedic effect-- including character's personalities, their actions and their relationships to one another. It's never going to be a character driven show no matter how much this fandom sometimes wishes it was. We're going to have characters who don't give a fuck about each other, literally wishing death or plotting to kill each other in one episode and then they're just going to be chilling playing video games in the next episode like nothing happened. It's episodic. That's part of the appeal. It's why it's such a sandbox.

Even if you didn't ship Kyman, their dynamic is impossible to ignore, try as some might. They say they hate each other, yet they keep hanging out. Both parties are there of their own volition. They both enjoy each other's company, and no amount of write-up's anyone can post on tumblr dot com is going to change that canon fact. They're friends.

Also-- they are just plain fun to watch, fucking hilarious and a huge appeal of the show! If someone else who watches the show doesn't like them, that's their problem. Them not liking an aspect of the show isn't going to make that part of the show any less valid and/or canon. And guess what? You're supposed to like their dynamic. It's supposed to be entertaining and captivating. How you interpret it is up to you, but there is 100% nothing wrong with watching an episode of South Park and enjoying Eric and Kyle's dynamic-- that is what you're supposed to do. So don't feel bad about it. The show is made for people to enjoy, after all. Also, it's important to keep in mind that just because you can find a dynamic appealing doesn't mean you endorse everything about it. That's such a wild and new-age fandom take. Fiction is an escape-- a safe space to explore unrealistic relationships and unrealistic characters. You're allowed to like fucked up things in fiction. You're allowed to like stuff in fiction you'd find repulsive or abhorrent in real life.

I think I can speak for a good chunk of the fandom when I say, I'd fucking hate Eric Cartman in real life. Hell, I'd probably hate Kyle, too. I have a lot of favourite characters from different fandoms I'd probably hate in real life. They're fun because they're fictional and it's different from real life. If I wanted to read about stuff that happens in real life, I wouldn't be here.

In the end, anon, fandom is supposed to be fun. To me it's just fun to take these silly little egg construction paper kids, draw 'em as anime characters, and give 'em some angst. It's fun! There's so much to do with them! They're soooo dynamic!

But if you're not having fun-- if you're stressing-- there's nothing wrong with taking a step back for your own mental well-being. I'm not about to tell you your feelings are invalid, because I know how any internet discourse, no matter how trivial or silly it may seem, can still stress you out. If you're constantly being told you're morally corrupt or problematic, it can take a toll on you-- even if you know you're not. The truth is you're never going to agree with everyone on the internet, and people will weaponize something as trivial as a South Park ship to make them feel better about their ship while also making you feel worse about your ship.

Anyways, when it comes to stepping back, I think there's a few ways you could go about this;

You could disengage with the social part of the fandom-- focus on the show itself, maybe just hunker down with some fanfics.

If you'd like to remain active on social medias, I think it wouldn't hurt to start blocking liberally. Anyone who has anything along the lines of 'Kymans DNI' in their profile, just block right away. You don't want to see their opinion, anyways. You're never going to convince them otherwise.

If you have a few close friends, I recommend sticking close in a small private discord server where you can discuss your headcanons and gossip in private. It's much more liberating than trying to get involved in any of the insane discourse that plagues both here and Twitter.

We literlay went through a DLc were our units could kill counterpart of themselves while getting 3 units who are polar opposite of the one we wanted to have. It can't get any weirder, not even with those fake incestuous support.

I feel like the problem of the game justification if the shippers use it would be to face people who would told them "then why don't you ship the Royals with the alternate version of their siblings" and them being grossed out but the thing is context : the twins keeps denying they are Sombron child and asserts that Sombron and another sombron are different people + they never act as siblings with Alear + the fact taht in both dimensions they are never related. So why this open the door to some pairings I find unsavory like Alcryst/ALt Diamant, it at least would not be real incest... but it is also never real incest because fictional characters are not related to each other unless you are asked to believe so.

Coming at it as someone who hasn’t played the games & doesn’t know anything about it, this show is really well made and beautiful and well written. I realize that that’s the disconnect; there are games that I’m really into that if they made a show or movie of it, I’d be underwhelmed no matter what. But, even then, I feel like it’s important to realize that this isn’t supposed to be a shot for shot remake of the game, just in TV format. It’s an adaptation. Of course it’s going to be different; both mediums have different strengths, and the game is going to play to its strengths, and the show’s going to play to its strengths. Plus, changes were likely made to the characters to better fit the actors playing them. Shockingly enough, Pedro Pascal and Troy Baker are, in fact, not the same person. And on top of that, Pedro’s actually lending his face to the role, not just his voice, which is another divergence between how video games tell stories and how tv and film tell stories. I am rambling so I’m going to get to the point here lol

ALL of that’s to say. Everyone’s gonna have an opinion. No one is obligated to like anything, even if the general consensus is that the thing was good. Not liking the thing isn’t some sort of attack on the people who do like the thing. the evolution of fnaf and, by extension, it’s evolution on the internet, is such a wild case study on how a piece of media can affect culture.

fnaf on release, and for a few years after that, was primarily an indie horror game. it a game that exploded first due to its gameplay (largely due to lets players) and then because of its storytelling. fnaf nowadays is reminiscent of a comedy, a piece of media that has become more of a parody than a game.

i’m not saying that’s a bad thing (even though I'm personally not a fan of where the series went), besides that’s what the internet does a large percentage of the time. but it’s so interesting to look at this shift retrospectively, to compare fnaf today to how it was a few years ago and to watch how the series' changes led to what we have today.

let’s look at fnaf 1, my personal favorite. the most important note about this game, and why it made every choice it made, was that it was intended to be a one-off game. it didn't care about story, about being something massive, only on being a horror game. this led to fnaf 1 being the rawest form of fnaf's horror, and these distinctions led to fnaf 1 feeling very different from the rest of the series. its design is insanely fine-tuned in order to capture feelings of anxiety and unease, scruffy’s video on audio in fnaf illustrates this really well.

there’s a lot to say on the horror in fnaf 1 because it doesn’t hold itself back. from the near universal experiences like phone guy’s death and seeing your body stuffed into a suit to the rare events people may never encounter like the death screens and rare events in the game itself (whether small like posters changing or big like the illusions or golden freddy), the only rest the player will have from fear is the release of the 6 am alarm. the design choice that resonates with me the most is how as you progress into the week, the camera shots you’ll see will sometimes be different, as if the animatronics want you to know how disturbed they are.

everything changed when various lets players noticed this small indie game. markiplier, jacksepticeye, pewdiepie, and a ton of others introduced this small one-off game to a massive audience. they praised the game, got scared by the horror, grinded for 4/20 mode, infused it with their own culture (such as markiplier being the king of fnaf), and it all led to people paying attention to scott cawthon and fnaf.

fnaf 1 didn’t have plans to be anything greater than an indie horror game. fnaf 1 was a game with a lore that doesn’t go deeper than 5 dead kids who were stuffed into suits they’d go on to haunt. fnaf 1 was meant to be a fuck you to those who critiqued scott’s character designs before he'd disappeared from the game design sphere. fnaf 1 wasn't focused on much else because it wasn't meant to be much else. fnaf 1 was, to the surprise of scott, a massive success, opening the option for a potential series. fnaf 1 was an opportunity for scott to continue this life he planned on abandoning.

because of its predecessor's success, fnaf 2 had a much different development than 1 did. while 1 was meant to be a one-off and a final shot at making it big as a game creator, fnaf 2 was trying to capitalize off of fnaf 1's success and to make this series stay around. this manifested into creating the story which 1 lacked. its where the beginning of fnaf’s infamous storytelling method of making itself into a puzzle began.

three pillars for fnaf's success begin to be observable. the gameplay and, by extension, horror, the lets players, and the developing lore. fnaf 2’s goal was to establish a balance.

the difference in goals can be seen with how juxtaposed the gameplay of 2 was compared to 1. you’re no longer in a small, claustrophobic office but a large, exposed, vulnerable room. the lore was explicitly intertwined with the gameplay through the minigames and phone guy while 1’s lore was barely present beyond some posters and, as it was in 2, phone guy. the balance aspect of the game’s design even got into the gameplay thanks to the puppet. it worked incredibly well as a follow-up to 1. and though the horror was less present compared to the first game, it wasn’t like fnaf 2 wasn’t scary. 2 still felt like a horror game, just a DIFFERENT horror game.

fnaf 3 marked when the story began to take center focus. again, it’s not like the other categories were forgotten about or nullified, in fact i think springtrap and fazbear frights as a setting do their horror better than all of 2 did, but the story took more of a center stage due to how prominent it was.

if fnaf 1 was designed as a final shot and fnaf 2 was designed to capitalize off of the sudden success of 1, fnaf 3 was to hook people into the blossoming story of the series. springtrap being the sole animatronic demonstrates the meaningfulness of the game's story excellently. the setting being in an attraction based on fnaf also is emblematic of this focus. and, most obviously to me, the existence of a good and bad ending which gave conclusion to the story (even if it'd be retconned) showed that more than the prior installments, this game wanted to be a story. scott was trying to strengthen that lore pillar, to draw in matpat and theorists to stand alongside markiplier and the lets players as faces of fnaf

and then, fnaf 4. if fnaf 1 was the prologue to the lore takeover, fnaf 4 was the entire first half of the story.

while fnaf 3 asked more questions than the prior installments, 1-3 were still clear in what they were saying. 4 is where this stopped. fnaf 4 had the problem of being too unclear to the extent that matpat stated 4 was the game with the most questions unanswered several installments after its release. but even if messy the story was massive for this game's identity, something scott egged on. a couple of theorists, matpat included, did a several hour livestream where scott interacted with them to help them solve the mystery that fnaf’s gameplay is now most remembered for.

it’s telling of how much of a focus it took with how the lets play and gameplay pillars suffered. pewdiepie dropped fnaf because it was all the same to him. what’s equally telling is how big a deal this was in the gaming sphere. the horror felt a little lost outside of animatronic designs (which fell flat for me) and jumpscares (which shouldn’t need to carry the horror of a horror game). the horror now was in the story that the players were asked to solve.

this change in identity really shines in sister location, where the strength of the gameplay and horror were completely lost. there are several moments in sister location where the horror genuinely stuck with me, which hadn’t happened since fnaf 1. but sl is only remembered for the lore. what people remember are the moments that build on the lore, that bring more questions and give more answers. in fact, the game’s story couldn’t be fully appreciated without prior knowledge, which includes the BOOK SERIES, which a lot of fans won’t read or know details about unless they care about the lore. while the same need for context goes for the preceding games (except fnaf 1), needing to read a non-game source to appreciate the story in the games is a big ask for a lot of people.

this is also where the non-seriousness that fnaf is remembered for today was born, thanks to the daily elevator trips which, among other quips, brought about the exotic butters joke. though it didn't distract from the game's theme due to its brevity and non-intrusiveness, so it wasn't much of a problem at the time.

fnaf 6 takes what fnaf sl did with story, de-emphasizes the horror, and makes the lore pillar the most important. the ending of fnaf 6 is impossible to truly understand without knowing each character’s story, including the book and fnaf world exclusive henry emily. the pizzaria simulator gameplay loop is the exotic butters tone shift if it took up half of the game. ignoring the last cutscene, the horror is lacking (scraptrap is the definition of pathetic), the night half barely stands out, for god’s sake the method to get one of the endings was unclear for several years. in exchange, the lore was sweet and satisfying; the final speech henry gave is incredibly resonant and powerful. fnaf 6 made a choice with its direction and captures the change the entire series had gone through up to it better than any other game before it.

the gameplay and horror pillars became like the hips of a whale. they still exist, they’re just hidden within the rest of the skeleton.

ultimate custom night and help wanted are big exceptions, being focused on their gameplay and with the storytelling being a secondary focus in between moments (as ucn didn't have much story to tell and help wanted was only trying to start a new story). but in my opinion, the horror is still lost in ucn. there’s too much going on, a lot of it being super goofy, for the game to feel scary to me. especially notable is everyone's favorite animatronic, mr. hippo, who manages to be the fnaf 4 to exotic butter’s fnaf 3 for the games' lack of seriousness. help wanted meanwhile, largely due to being in vr, still holds onto the fear and seriousness that fnaf can create.

while help wanted was more scary than ucn is to me, following its release was the new book series. they were a collection of short stories which lore enthusiasts had to suffer through for even more details about the game story. they were when the comedy invaded into the lore as well, with faz-goo and time traveling ball pits not only bloating the lore but making it into a complete joke to many.

the horror barely felt like a focus to the franchise anymore, the gameplay had its great moments but became unmemorable, the lore got infamously messy, unclear, and hard to navigate, and with the game's newfound whimsical nature (as well as funko’s merchandise), the series began accumulating a large child audience and lost the themes and tone it maintained in its earlier releases.

fnaf lost its identity as a horror game and only somewhat held onto its identity as a story.

security breach’s rushed state put the final nail in the coffin. it barely felt like a horror game thanks to the pizzaplex's brightness and the very silly designs. people only cared about the gameplay for the glitches, lets players got attention because people wanted to see the game break, people's care for the lore fell apart when afton returned again, and the game's popularity was the equivalent of the attention a car crash on the side of the road gets from passerbys.

whatever serious identity fnaf still had to the general public had been lost. the past was absorbed by this new perspective. fnaf had transcended past an indie horror game to become a cultural phenomenon, a title that meant a specific flavor of jokes and parody. its origins are a footnote to this holy bible of comedy. every leg it once stood on had merged and mutated into a structure of memes.

if it wasn’t obvious, i miss the horror that was a deep part of the series in its earlier days. but fnaf’s position has changed now, and while there is a lot to critique with what led to this, what first made fnaf special isn’t lost. the journey of how we got here is largely encapsulated in the jokes we make, making history into a satirized time capsule.

and god, that time capsule is a fucking trip to reflect on.

So I've downloaded Gacha Club and it's Really Fucking Cool actually

I got into the app and figured out the controls a little, then I decided to make my ocs but in gacha form, just to see what would happen.

So I make a new default and decide to start with skin colour, as you do, and immediately hollered 'Jesus Christ' at my phone because these are the options.

This crazy amount of variety is kept for the other aspects. If you want an accessory or hat or shirt pattern, it's probably there, you just have to scroll through the hundreds of other options that are also fully adjustable in size, shape, colour, sometimes position, and the poses! I was surprised at the amount of poses.

It's like Picrew but on drugs. It's like getting a Barbie playset for free but surprise! You get the rest of the mall too because there's more than 200 options for hair base, a hundred more for bang options, and much more of props/weapons. You can create literally any character and add your own twists because there's just so much cool stuff! It doesn't even have to be human. Have you see those Weirdcore Gacha videos?

I also realize that it's great to help pick colours and outfits, and maybe adjust your own fashion sense because of how you can pair accessories/props with scenarios and personality. It can also be a medium for people who don't draw or write but still want some creative juices flowing.

I'm still not in the fanbase but I think I get it now. This game is so popular because of. You know. The seemingly unlimited customization that's possible. And it's free to download.

Gacha videos are literally just people playing dress up and house and sharing their playtime with the rest of the world and getting horrendously cyberbullied for it but we don't talk about that

Even the ones that make me go 'oh, yeah, this is terrible' like 'characters doing/meeting random stuff', 'charactets/ocs reacting to stuff', the infinite wacky AUs and crossovers and nonsensical storylines that have obvious references to other media, I completely understand the logic behind all of it, because when I was younger and I had a paper and pencil, I would draw the stupidest shit and blatantly trace from other people's stuff (I know it's bad now I never posted it don't worry) and make them do what I thought was funny/emotional because I didn't care about quality moreso the fact that I made it.

It's so weird seeing the spirit of what I used to create reincarnated into another generation (all the bad and good bits), and making it so public too. I'm just really glad that there's lots of kids out there who are still having fun and somehow dealing with the crushing judgemental force that is the internet.

It depends on how long the relationship has been going and on how strongn the bond of you two is.

If you two haven't been together for long it would be way easier for him making him able to tell it to you without being very sad.

But if you two have been a couple for a long time it would be very hard for him probably not being able to keep the tears in.

I feel like he has commitment issues and he just constantly worries that the two of you are going to break up after marriage so it would take him to really know you're the one to get married.

He doesn't really like showing when he's sad because he thinks it makes him look weak but if you're sad he won't think of you as weak at all and will do his best at comforting you.

He's very aware of his strengh and is very gentle physically always being careful when picking you up or hugging you.

At first he's like "Na i don't really like hugs that much" until once you gave him a hug while he was angry to calm him down. That moment he realised how much he likes getting hugs from you.

The words "I love you" mean a lot to him so it would take him a long time to say it with a meaning behind it.

It really depends on the person. If he trusts the person you're hanging out with and knows them then he doesn't care because he trusts you.

But if he already thinks the person you're hanging out with is sus then he can get kinda jealous.

He really likes to kiss you on your neck because he likes the reaction he can get out of you.

Usually he doesn't get seriously angered easily but plays being angry. He could never be seriously angry at you because he's scared you're gonna hate him. But if someone is being mean to you he can get angry easily.

He likes to remember stuff about you and write it down in his phone. Your favorite colour, favorite flower, favorite song, your insecurities etc.

Once when he was editing you fell asleep in his lap trying to stay awake so he acted like you were a cat and did his best not to move to disturb you in anyway that could wake you up.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

If he sees you being uncomfortable because of someone he can be pretty protective. If it happens outside he will get you out of harms way and probably insult the person that is making you uncomfortable. Is also not afraid to throw hands.

He's basically constantly 'bullying you' but if someone other than him bullies you he's like 'Hey bitch you can't do that'

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts a lot of effort into dates and anniversaries making sure that you're going to like what he does/gives you.

Usually when he gifts you stuff it can be anything that he finds on the internet but he likes to gift you games over steam.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He's not very good at expressing his emotions especially sadness so he tends to bottle up all sadness until he has a breakdown. While in that breakdown he distances himself from you because he's scared you're gonna hate him.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I mean he's not completely obsessed with his looks but he just likes to look neat for himself. What he is kinda obsessed with tho is his beard and he always wants it to look good.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

The thing is he's definitely able to be alone for a while without immediately missing you. But he loves just you being around him without conversations so he would probably start to muss your company.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

If he really trusts you he'll lay his head in your lap and if you pet his hair he'll probably fall asleep. Loves to do this after a long day of editing or streaming.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He wouldn't like it if his partner gets overly jealous. It annoys him and he sometimes just wants to hang out with friends.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He has a tendency to pull the blanket closer to him when sleeping so you better cuddle with him if you don't wanna freeze.

He also sometimes drools but don't tell him that.

Damn Enji and Kotaro are literally the worst fathers

Hmm, the worst father is AFO.

Kotaro has some trauma that doesn't excuse him, but it explains some things.

Enji at some level at least was trying to reach something good? And he is right now in some arc of redemption.

But AFO is just– I still don't know how people look at what AFO did to Tomura and doesn't feel at least a little sympathy. It personally makes me physically sick to think about AFO sometimes. Let's review the reasons why AFO deserves the award for worst parental figure :

All his love was replaced with obsession. A need to control people at any minute, a need to know everything about them, to make them act like he wants to.

He was heavily obsessed with his younger brother. We all know how the first user ended. He's still obsessed over him.

AFO has a hunger for power and possessions... And in this one I mean PHYSICAL possessions even. This is the stuff horror stories are filled with.

We don't know if AFO knew about who Tenko was before or after he took him in from the streets. We don't know if he tracked the Shimuras, we don't know how exactly everything turned out so perfectly for him.

His took his obsession with his younger brother and the OFA users to Tenko. It was never about the kid, never about the human. Tenko has never been better than another body to be controlled like any nomu. The modificationa Tenko needed where not physical, no, but psychological.

Grooming, gaslightning, psychological abuse...

He made a five years old use the dead hands of his family all over his body and watched as the kid threw up from the extreme distress he was under.

He told a five years old he should never heal. I repeat, he took an already abused kid who had already many reasons to hurt and suffer that healing was bad and raging was the solution. He wanted Tenko to stay forever trapped in the bleeding.

He commanded the kid to go and kill people. "Tenko said he wanted to kill them" yes, kids say that type of stuff, they are kids that are supposed to be guided and taught. And AFO did it in the worst way possible.

He knew Tenko had no memories, he was like a blank canvas filled with hurt and rage– and guilt. What AFO did was making Tenko like him a little, people without remorse that would destroy the world for their twisted version of love.

Have you ever heard of those stories where people spend their whole lives locked in a basement because their abusive father make them do it so? Tomura was isolated from society. The only three figures in his life were a doctor who wanted to experiment with him, a half zombie who had strict orders and the demon who trapped him. No other kids to play with and learn how to act in society, for example. He had no friends, he couldn't go out that much, he got a pc and videogames and probably lessons but if we compare the room AFO gives Tenko in the beginning and Tomura's room in the bar, it's probably the same. All his life lived between four walls. Alone. Isolated. With the constant pain and rage and feeling you need to destroy.

If you think quarantine was hard, imagine this.

We also know Tomura was lacking self care when we first met him on the manga. I'm talking about some levels of hygiene and basic routines. We know Tomura is used to not sleeping in days, eating so little, and other things that shouldn't be normal at all, unless people are being negligent with you or you're living in a war or something.

Or– you're poor. This fucks me up each time because there's no way AFO is poor. And yet we've seen Tomura's situation.

Also imagine being around people who only tells you "do it for him, do this to please him, be like him, follow his lead, become him, listen to him". What type of brainwashing is that.

I still hold that Tomura's itching comes from emotional and psychological stress. And since AFO told him to never heal, you can imagine why his scars looked so bad and full of blood in the beginning of the manga.

Tomura didn't have a normal childhood or teenage years. He lost both to the trauma. What Tomura likes to do beside destroying? Playing video games, and because that was the only possible scape he had. Being on the internet lying about his identity and his life.

Note how we don't have a good memory of Tomura in those years. It's always AFO rescuing him. The last real good memory of Tomura was about Hana, his sister, and Nao, his mother, both being gentle to him.

He started really living with the League. " Why does he care about them ", even when he was a child, we have no records of Tenko having close friends. The closest thing was Hana, his sister, and Mon-chan, his dog. The League are the first real friends he ever had. Of course he doesn't know how to be a friend at first, he has never seen people around his age so close to him in at least 15 years.

And note how AFO doesn't care about them either. He sees everyone as toys to play with. He never tries to protect Tomura's friends.

AFO doesn't even see Tomura as a person, like I said before, because he saw Tomura as a body he could later posses to keep existing. A recipient, a vessel, whatever you want to call it. He only cares about Tomura's feeling because he need his hatred to take OFA.

We saw that when Deku started hurting himself from using too much his quirk, everyone worried. Deku was the only who worried about Tomura when the AFO quirk started destroying him.

AFO practically killed Tomura by relegating his consciousness to the bottom of his mind, taking over the body. Yeah sure, Kotaro tried to kill Tenko and Enji is responsible for Touya's dead, but nothing as brutal as this.

AFO gave his own last name to Tomura not as a parent-son link, but to mark that body as his.

He gave an identity to Tomura to mark him as he possession. He is so proud of that.

Besides, Tomura looks a lot like AFO's younger brother and Nana Shimura, two of the people AFO obsessed with, a lot. He also was compared before to All Might, when he was Tenko and share many similarities with Deku. Basically he sees in Tomura everything he wants to posses and destroy.

He used Tomura in almost every way.

He destroyed Tomura in almost every way.

And do it because he wanted to do it, not for some type of justice or self-righteousness or twisted parental feelings.

He enjoys destroying Tomura, he wanted to destroy Tomura, to break him.

No other character should be compared to AFO. Even Kotaro and Enji, that would be a grave mistake. At least Enji and Kotaro were humans, complex and abusive humans, but AFO is something straight out of a nightmare.

Yes, he's definitely the worst parental figure of bnha / mha.

My Honest Take on Hate (feat Scott Cawthon) featuring poppy playtime

Oops, calm down if you came to the blog curse me and disagree and say "it's not a game case =/= devs" if you know I'll ignore your opinion it's a case of devs =/= game so sit there and I'll tell you some things to discover.

Venge vs poppy playtime

I confess that I didn't hear about this game but what made Core disappointed with the creator of Venge made me also feel rancid about him because when a YouTube made the video about Venge being "underrated" and that "none" Let's play played his game because in case the creator doesn't see or delve well into his research because core that is a big youtube br played, other youtube not so big with verified played either spanish, english etc ie the guy was just wanting big youtubes to play his game sorry in offend you creator of Venge you are a badass don't come that you helped all the curation of the video and such and agree that your game was not successful and was underrated too much so how tattletail was that I'm still waiting for a continuation of it and other games being released in the same style ah my go chip.

Devs vs Russian fandubs

It was in this bullshit that the thing started to get worse yes they were assholes with him just because of that damn president attacked Ukraine while Russian citizens ant Pudin doesn't support and agree with them apologize would have solved it and end of conversation but I think most that is massacred, the devs wouldn't care so much about it, right.

Started with N*fts they canceled and apologized, the reason I not only hate nft is not because of art theft and selling (which actually has been around for a long time to this day I don't understand why general woke up now with this) but because it is made of cryptocurrencies that in case you don't know it ends up with the environment and this affects our nature this is more important than any rough png monkey, this one I'm going to apologize to the devs for the mistakes they made but the people still believe that and kick Hater until today and you know who did the same thing and the people ignored at the time yes our "dear" Scott Cawthon creator of FNAF did it I confess that she some didn't know because it was in 2020 when he wanted to announce the nfts in the funkopop company and then when he saw it the sour lunch box when fans found out about it he said cancel and look that all this was ready but as he canceled it didn't happen that's guess what the public did they forgave Scott and put the fuck phrase "I understand Scott" that was of m and it ends and calms down that later I talk about it with Scott. Speaking of a comment from an "alleged" employee that I believe is not real for the following reasons, first there are no screenshots and evidence that say that devs treat their employees badly this can only be confirmed with evidence and images and not a comment from a person people are going to stop being stupid if you want to hate guys more so go deeper and compare what is fake or real is careful with false accusations because the internet is full of bad character people who like to fuck with everything.

Conclusion

For all the beautiful bullshit and intrigue I'm not going to apologize to the creators yet, if they came with a sincere apology for the Russian guy then it'll be fine but being the fandom doesn't know how to collaborate then it won't be okay on both sides think about it before talking nonsense to the little blue bird that I'm connected that he won't stop recommending the people's nonsense and coming back to Scott's subject I got more furious when I saw that he donated ant lgbtqs laws of politics lgbtphobic yes my lords and ladies o Scott Cawthon I give laws against the lgbt community and trans people and you know what the community did? Okay, semi-serious question! What would each member of Miss Bustier's class in the Scarlet!AU, including Lila, dress up as for Halloween?

Well I think my ideas would probably apply to canon. And obviously I know France doesn’t really do Halloween (at least not how America does), so we’re gonna just retcon reality and pretend Halloween is a common thing to these kids, so basically:

Marinette: A character costume. From a cartoon or movie or game, whatever it is she’s handmaking and handstyling all of it and is scouring the internet to make sure every detail is 100% canon accurate. Every year she tries to outdo herself by getting more and more intricate characters. Year 1 - Princess Peach Paper Mario version. Year 5 - Princess Peach Smash Bros verison.

Adrien: It’s the first year he gets to participate and it’s not some bougie adult wine drinking party, so he either goes for a visual pun (sticking a bunch of beige paint swatches to himself to be 50 Shades of Grey) or goes super basic royalty free costume, like A Vampire or A Devil. If he has a partner he’d totally go couples costumes, but who decides the costumes depends on the partner. (Marinette would totally bow to his whims but Kagami would reel him in)

Alya: She’s been in different store bought Majestia costumes since she was old enough to call the shots. Only this year is she going for Hometown Heroes, but she’s completely caught between who to choose - Ladybug because obviously, or Carapace because her boyfriend, or Rena Rouge because it’s hilarious?! So many options!!!

Nino: He’s never gotten super into it but keeps it alive for Chris. Typically he’ll pull together a “closet costume”, like pulling out the plaid button up and sticking some straw out of the pockets to be a scarecrow. Going to parties with Alya makes him want to try a little harder this year so he’ll probably actually buy a full costume this year to go with whatever she decides to be (”Wait, you’re gonna dress as me this year?!”)

Canon Chloe: She’s worn her Ladybug costume a few too many times in public, so she’ll probably go for Queen Bee but with a twist - like a full ballgown princess but Queen Bee themed. It’s super expensive decorated with real rhinestones, as are all the costumes she’s had in the past because she’s in a personal competition with Marinette. It kills her that Marinette always gets way more compliments on her costumes. 

SL Chloe: Same as above but Scarlet Lady themed. She’s at least smart enough to forgo the mask and demands pockets to shove Tikki into.

Canon Sabrina: In order to match Chloe but not outshine her, Sabrina is ordered to be a bee (to be Queen Bee’s “Pollen”, though Sabrina doesn’t know what that means). She’s an adorabee and her outfit is also pretty expensive because it was commissioned by Chloe, but that also means Sabrina got zero input on it. 

SL Sabrina: It’s the first time Sabrina hasn’t relied on Chloe to “make” her costume (or rather DECIDE her costume) and all the independence has Sabrina scrambling a bit. In the end, by borrowing some of her dad’s old things, she dresses as a Cutie Cop complete with a too big hat and handcuffs she has to SWEAR not to use.

Max: With some carefully painted cardboard and foam, he’s one of the bots from UMS III. Despite the crudeness of the costume, it is also meticulously model accurate, and also very difficult to move in.

Kim: 100% one of those inflatable T Rex costumes.

Alix: She’d probably wear her regular clothes but invest in a high quality wolf mask and hands and sneak up on people all night.

Nathaniel: He’d have to prepare months in advance but he’d show up as Super Nathan. He skips on the face paint but considering it’s his OC and he still draws it in his comic, I think he’s not emotionally tainted by being an akuma and it’s own little “Fuck You” to Hawkmoth. Plus it makes Chloe stay 10000 miles away from him. 

Mylene: Mylene walks into a costume shop with no plan, wanting to be taken in by how a costume looks and feels on her. Because of that she has an eclectic background and no one ever knows what she’s going to come as. Last year she was a racoon because the costume dress had ears on the hoodie, but maybe this year she comes as a Mad Hatter because the costume came with a lot of pieces. Who knows?!

Ivan: He knows he’s going to avoid anything with a mask if he wants his girlfriend to come near him. That does knock off a lot of his favorite horror characters, so he goes an Adrien route and shows up as A Ninja. Yep. Definitely not a video game character, noooo, this is TOTALLY just A Ninja. Uhuh.

Rose: Unicorn Princess. With wings. And a tiara. And A wand. And a tail. And rainbow chalk in her hair. And stickers. 

Juleka: She’s a witch, but not a store bought cute short skirt one. Like a voodoo hag that dragged herself out of the swamp to curse mankind. She’s basically one every year so she just adds onto her costume and every year her witch costume just increases in collectables. Vials around her waist and a fake crow on her hat, a spell book appeared one year, and spider webs draped over her shoulders. Uh, are you sure that’s just a costume Juleka?

Canon Lila: She doesn’t care much about the actual costume but takes a lot of care making sure it’s juuuuuust towing the line between cute and sexy. It needs to be attention getting but not bad attention. She goes for slightly childish characters, like Little Red Riding Hood, so she can get away with saying she thought it was “just adorable!” when she knows it’s showing her off. If I wanted her to be even cheekier, I’d have her find a “Sexy” Rena Rouge costume that’s pretty much Rena Rouge but in a skirt, and watch Alya convulse.

SL Lila: Drop the act and just admit she likes feeling sexy. Her friends help her find costumes that are age appropriate but scratch that itch and Lila puts more thought into the actual character. She gets a new appreciation for merging horror with pretty stuff - like a Zombie Cheerleader or Elsa but with ice coming out of her skin. It also lets her stretch her makeup skills.
