I got to say, I love your take on Pokémon legend Arceus so far. You certainly didn't pull your punches with that one! The game alone has a bunch of potential for angst, and I can't wait to see what you cook. Anyways, remember to stretch and stay hydrated and as always, Have a good day prof!
I'm doing a more adult take, seeing as a lot of fans arent kids anymore! Im glad youre liking it, the themes will be more complex and mature in nature, but i hope to still weave in pokemon facts in every chapter, even if theyre in passing comments, seeing as Peach is babysitting the PC (Rei) who doesnt know as much, its an opportunity for her to teach, even if its somewhat reluctant at the start. I am finally free of ridiculous deadlines and stress, the planning for chapter 2 is finished, and i can start to refine and change up camera angles, shot layouts and the flow of this all. Sadly i am going to be seperated from my tablet for a month or two max so i'll be working slow, but as soon as my move across the world is done, ill be reunited with my tablet and can smash out pages! Im not going to lie, im frustrated about the wait, its ready to go and i cant get stuck in haha! But so be it, i have to accept i cant do comic work for a short while and then get stuck in on nothing else that end. I feel awful with the delays, I want to bring you all this story! It reveals a lot of peachs past, who she is, her family, and expands on the pokemon world, shows so much more to species often overlooked, and makes an ok game the base for (hopefully) a compelling story about someone who gets broken down so far, and built back twice as strong.
I struggle to not gush about it all the time to be honest with you! hahaha it's my precious passion project, and ive poured years into the planning of this, to hand it out freely and hope others enjoy as much as i have. I hope i dont let you all down!

A human's compassion
Pokemon legends arceus
You can also read it in Archive of our own
As Giratina falls it hides in their champion's shadow, watching, hurt, confused, enraged and... tired... the next events... it just didn't expected their human to fall in exhaustion... nor the compassion of Arceus' hero
Giratina feels the attack even before it hit, their second, more powerful, more agile, more desperate form beaten to exhaustion, so much so that not even a portal it can summon to be back at the dimension it belongs. So they hide in shadow, Volo's shadow and watches.
The celestica descendant hands the last plate to Arceus' champion, bitterness in his expression, barely controlled rage runs through his body as he gives his all not to cry in frustation, and despite it all he is true to his words, no back stabbing, no dirty tricks.
The banished one wonders why... it could be so easy, push the child, they have no more than one pokemon left after such arduous battles, a hurt pokemon, exhausted even, so why doesn't he grabs this opportunity, their goal is still achievable if he just-
He falls, at the last step of the stair, not capable of dealing with so much turmoil Volo's body gives up to exhaustion and blacks out, Giratina can't do anything but watch... and worry.
It remembers the first time they met.
Years ago, as it's name was long forgotten and forsaken from humans and pokemon memories alike, trapped alone in this twisted mock of a word... until he called, uncertain, tired and unfaithful. The human's spirit resonating through the worlds as a forsaken one, tired of never being heard and still holding one last hope, one last prayer...
The pokemon feels his hurt, his anger, his sadness, his numbness to the world... and even then he cares, the healthy egg in his arms speaks volumes; in his face a lack of faith tired of the nothingness, and at his arms, tuck in gently his still willingness to hold on hope, of a tomorrow, of an answer, of a better world. Giratina's own spirit can sympathize, little as it may be to his feelings, betrayed and isolated by the same God who was suposed to protect them, so it answers, as painful as the act can be, for time and space aren't distorted enough for it to be comfortable.
The human's eyes shine, for the first time in eons the antimatter pokemon feels... welcome. His dejected pose quickly disappears as he puts on a mask of braveness and charisma, he has a plan, and the knowledge to make it happen, to meet arceus and change the world, to be given answers, to be heard, to get revenge, he only needs... the means; and that's were Giratina enters.
"To finaly have answers... it's all I ask of them, it's only in my nature to question why so much tragedy has happened... to my people, to my pokemon to me. Selfish as you think it may be... I beg of you, help me see Arceus... and I will help you in your revenge"
For there's nothing more powerful than a T̸̡̧̨͚͇͎̞̭̖̞̠͚͖͊͜ŗ̸̡̢̛̘͔̳̗̮̖͉̂̿ả̵̢̛̺̮̝̬̜̙͑̽̑͒̈́͑̚͠͝ͅi̶̧̢̛̘̩̫̩͖̒̿̐̈̃͋̍̌͒͠͝͝wilderṉ̴̦̖̘͕̮̼̳̮̈̋̀̊̇̒ę̷̬̗̩͚́̃̇͗̔r̸͈͊̓̓̒̅͛͐̉̐̀͊͝ and their pokemon's bond.
It remembers the after.
How Volo walked the hearth in a mask of a merchant, how he treated pokemon after pokemon and them Giratina itself, as a companion, how strange it was at first.
In a night, no diferent than any other, the Celestica descendant sat by the fire, his Togepi happily ate a berry he had given it, not bothered by the ominous presence it no doubt felt, why fear something you grew up with after all? A stone, 100 wisps it contained, soon enough it would become a spiritomb, the Garchomp sleeps near its wilder, guard still up, he had no trust in this new companion, but it doesn't mind.
Volo noticed how the shadows sometimes moved like water, if you squint and focus you can see two red dots peeking from them, so, in a moment if curiosity he puts a berry and "looks away". After a long time the shadow moves cautiously, slowly the berry is consumed by tiny tendrils of black goo and disappear into the ground, the grass top soon being spilled after seconds, the process is repeated every night after that.
It remember the nights of training and the early mornings of the sun.
To work together means to get used to each other's presence, commands and boundaries, Giratina... didn't took well to being commanded, and Volo got a hard time identifying it's moves, powerful but at a high cost of stamina, it was frustrating. Night after night, failure after failure until they finaly came to a solution, talk, and compromise, a mix of both beings tactics and finally, a successful battle at last, they were ready.
A scream brought the pokemon back to reality, Arceus' hero hushed to their direction, the azure flute in their hand was quickly tossed aside as they lifted the blond man of the ground. With the help of Lord weirdeer they went back to the village, Giratina awaited the talk it knew would follow, the tale of betrayal, the banishment for the merchant, alone in the wild, a poetic circle of sorts... but it never came.
The hero lied, something about an Alpha attack while they tried to study the ruins... this ... no, surely the child would wish to repay their betrayal? Soon, they would tell the truth and them both forsaken children would be banished, surely...
It never came... the chosen one never told the truth, Volo slept for three days and not once did the child talked about what truly happend at the spear temple, they looked sad, Giratina knew this, it followed them after all, at the darkest nights they cried alone, suppressing their sobs for fear of being heard. The child lived more in the wild than in it's own home, note after note after draft, dedicated in ther pursuit of all pokemon, something the ruler of the distortion world couldn't understand yet, did they wanted to be a professor before falling here? Perhaps a passion was born after so much time spent with Laventon?
In some outings the child looked melancholic, looking up, at where the distorted portal no longer existed, longing of something they can't remember, but wish to return, Giratina wonders... if Arceus would get this child back to their own time and space... or were they punished to cane here... or it it was just a mistake, one of many the God pokemon have done during it's long lifetime, one it probably couldn't comprehend, after all, it's been so long since it bounded with a human.
The child was as forsaken as them, they cried at dawn, after all this work, all this pain, betrayal after betrayal, after lost, after arduous battles and almost deaths. Arceus never took them back, and Giratina watched it all unfold, the pokemon knew the child had a piece of time and space itself in their own wooden capsules, and now a piece of creation, but they never once attempted to use them, never once called upon their names in command or demand, they just wanted to go home, to remember their life...
They took the pokeball, tucked it safely at their pocket, the tiny human breathed once, wiped their tears and cleaned their nose, looking up at the rising sun they smiled... they would live, and one day be back home, that's what Giratina heard their soul proclaim before it disappeared back to the distortion world.
Humans are ... complex to say the least, they destroy, rage and broke all that can existe, they are greedy and let fear easily subdue them into manipulation and hatred from one another, from "others" from pokemon... but not always... they too are... innocent, curious, creative, hopeful and... brave. Surviving is brutal but living is hard, and they make joy when there's a crisis, they help who are kind, the one who feel broken can feel less so if a little bit of hope is show to them.
Humans, at the end of it all care, it's in the words of caution, in the ruffles of fur, it's in the way they sing, be it a beautiful song or a off tone melody in high pitched noises their young make when playing, care can be your downfall or you guiding light. But at the end... if you live, the world might become a little bit brighter with the bounds you form along your journey.
As others teach you, you teach them, noticed or not the mere existence of a simple hello might change the view one has of life, that at least, is what Giratina learned, the world might be broken and cruel... but still worth living in it, if it means your bounds won't be in vain isn't it?

Thank you very much for replying, you are very kind. If the reader can't participate, then I'll leave the choice of the second character up to you.
Original request: “Hi! I would like 31 for Hisui!Ingo, he as the Lee…As for the scenario, I would like to ask that all of this take place at Ingo's house, lot of storm outside, and it would be great to see fluff or some hurt/comfort after he being recovering for some injuries caused by an alpha pokemon attack.”
Hello! Aww, thank you for saying that ! I chose Akari for this and decided to switch this prompt for today, so I hope you enjoy Day 17 of Tickletober: Aftercare!
Akari’s Cheerful Method of Aftercare
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo and Akari
Words: 710
Summary: Ingo is feeling down because he doesn’t like being bedridden after an injury, so Akari tries to cheer him up with a special method of aftercare. Enjoy!
Icy rain pours down on the Alabaster Icelands, forcing the residents of the Pearl Clan settlement to keep warm in their homes, including warden Ingo. The man lies on his thin bed on the ground, facing up at the ceiling. He just stares into nothingness while he sounds of the frozen liquid hit the roof of his home. Akari, who has been taking care of him for the past few days due to an injury he received from an alpha pokemon, notices his zoned out expression and begins to worry.
She kneels down to sit near the side of his bed. “Ingo? Is everything alright?”
Upon hearing the concerned tone in her voice, Ingo turns his head towards her and tries to give her his best smile. “Yes, it’s alright. I don’t enjoy being out of commission like this, that’s all. I’m not able to help people in this state.”
Akari admires his persistence to assist others, but in this case, Ingo had to take a step back for his own wellbeing. “I know Ingo, but you needed to rest. That alpha Abomasnow did a number on you. Any worse and you could have been seriously hurt, where it wouldn’t just take a few days of healing. You’ll be able to get back up and running tomorrow, so until then you're resting.”
“I know…” Ingo lets out a sigh and leans his head back on his pillow, once again returning to the zoned out state of staring at the ceiling.
Poor thing, he’s really worked up about this. He always has that motivation to help others, never expecting anything back in return. Well, maybe this time Akari can do something for him. Something that can cheer him up.
“I’m sure Lady Sneasler will be happy to see you tomorrow,” Akari mentions, “I bet the first thing she’ll do is wrap her arms around you and never let you go again.”
Ingo lets out a little chuckle at her statement, forming a lighter expression on his previously solemn face.
“See! There’s a smile,” Akari says and gives a friendly rub to Ingo’s belly. However, when she does this, Ingo quickly jolts and lets out a subtle giggle.
“Akari!” Ingo turns his head to the side and tries to gently nudge her hand away. Akari blinks at the warden, not expecting that response from her little pat; however, a grin soon forms on her face, knowing exactly why he reacted this way. This could work out in her favor.
She slowly places her hand near his belly, then lightly scribbles her fingers through the fabric of the blanket. Immediately, the warden starts quietly giggling and turns onto his side to avoid the tickly feeling.
“What’s the matter, Ingo? Why are you giggling all of a sudden?” Akari teases with a soft smile.
“Ahakari! What are you doing?” the warden asks through his soft giggles and tries to hide his face in his pillow.
“It’s one of my new special methods of aftercare! It seems like you needed it,” she moves her wiggling hand up to the warden’s ribs, causing him to jolt and reach behind him to gently tug her mischievous hand away from his torso.
“Now wahahait a minute!”
“No can do Ingo, the treatment has to be applied right away,” she says as her hand scribbles even further upwards to his underarm, causing even louder giggles to spill out of Ingo.
“Akahahari!” he tries to squeeze his arms to his side and curl himself up in a ball under the blanket, unable to stop smiling from Akari’s aftercare treatment. Seeing that Ingo’s feeling much better than he was, Akari moves her hand away to allow him to relax. He returns to lying on his back and Akari fixes the blanket for him so that he can rest up again.
“Thank you Akari,” Ingo says with a warm, lingering smile.
“You’re welcome. Now rest up so that you’ll be able to get back on your feet in the morning.” She finishes fixing his blanket, then watches as he closes his eyes, now completely at ease. The icy rain keeps on pattering on the roof above, producing a rhythmic, calm air to the room with soothing sounds rather than that of emptiness.

[Ghost Stories] [Event End] A Phone Call
As the day went on, spirits that had once wandered the world during the season began to slowly disappear. The spirit energy faded from the world. Ghosts who have went to see their loved ones one last time waved goodbye. Some who stayed behind turned into Pokémon. Some yet still vanished in thin air.
---
Tumblr media
Within the Sinnoh Region, Izanami returned to Sendoff Spring and looked at the entrance of Turnback Cave. The Creator looked on as spirits began to enter within the cavern. Many of these ghosts are finally completed in their journeys -- they have seen family and friends, they have given their last wishes, or they even have finally done that one thing that they wished to do in life. No matter what it was, they all were ready to move on, and all ready to rest in peace. Although Turnback Cave being a local home for gathering was an unintended side-effect from human culture of the dead, she welcomed it. After all, that was why she created this day in the first place -- for those who pass on to finally find peace and move on....
... and maybe it was time for her to move on, too.
Izanami smiled as she started to fade. She would enter Turnback Cave herself, but her spirit was tied elsewhere. Her Legend Plate called to her, wishing for her to return and crying out that it would welcome her with open arms. Izanami closed her eyes.
She can now finally enjoy her retirement.

Within the Hall of Origin, Meredith held Melony's hand and looked lovingly into her eyes. For 1,700 years, the two have been apart as Meredith resided within her Soul Dew. However, now that they were together again, it felt as if their friendship had never faded.
Tumblr media
"So, it is finally time to go for you, My Lady?"
Meredith nodded. "Yes. I can feel the ghostly energy fading as we speak. As such, it will be only a matter of time before I return to the Soul Dew." She smiled softly at her friend. "However, do not think of this goodbye as a final one. As long as we have Heidi and as long as we all are together, then I will always be with you."
"My Lady...." Melony returned the loving smile, even though it had a hint of somberness. This goodbye was bittersweet for her. "I will never forget you."
Meredith giggled. "And I will never forget you, either. Perhaps we will meet again soon."
Melony nodded. "Yes. Soon."
Tumblr media
Meredith pulled Melony in a tight hug -- as tight as she could. The two remained silent. In life, Melony was Meredith's long friend. Even though Friede introduced them as a way to challenge Meredith's resolve, the two have dedicated their values together to ensure that the world was a better place. Even in death, while Melony did stumble in watching over Heidi and even went back on Meredith's morals for a time, Melony has never forgotten the things that Meredith taught her.
Meredith eventually faded, leaving Melony to continue her lone hug for a little longer.
Tumblr media
"Thank you, Lady Meredith. I... will never forget you."

Tumblr media
Within Heidi's bedroom in the Hall of Origin, Heidi was alone. She was looking directly at her phone. Now that she knew the full tale, she continued to look at the numbers that Yukin gave her.
Tumblr media
??? (Alternate) Possible alternate version of myself. Yukin didn’t give identity. Knows that I have this number.
Tumblr media
Hera (Alternate) Possible alternate version of myself. Mention that I’m a part of Izanami’s world. Arceus: Sagira Whether Sagira is like Izanami, Friede, or Morrigan is unknown.
She wondered what type of individuals that these versions of her were. Did these versions of her have similar situations as her? What new things could she learn from them?
Then, she remembered Yukin's warning:
Tumblr media
"I do advise that you be careful of what you ask for, Miss Heidi. I will grant the information you're searching for, but I'm not responsible for the repercussions that follow. Do keep that in mind."
Just what consequences did Yukin warn about? Usually, creatures like him wouldn't set this seed without warning -- Yukin sounded like he knew of both of them and likely could tell what was to happen. At the same time, he wouldn't give them to her if he didn't think that she could handle it. Heidi has been pouring over whether or not to call these numbers for this whole month...
...but she (and also, he) knew that she wouldn't resist the temptation to make the calls eventually.
Heidi picked up the phone and made the call.
Tumblr media
"Hello? Hi, this is Heidi. I'm... you from another world. Is it okay if we can talk?"

Pokemon Legends Arceus. The game I based my Tumblr on. A challenging game that still presents its own twists even in wild encounters.
...The game I also haven’t beaten yet.
Honestly, I struggle to get out of the “raise Pokemon from their first/base form” mentality I developed. It feels weird to use the level forty-something Togekiss I caught. Or guaranteed Alpha Encounters (except strangely the Alpha Stantler I ended up caching). What I mean by the game I haven’t beaten yet, I mean what I can barely get through starting. Never even been past Kleavor before I restart the savefile.
(When did I get into the habit of quitting so soon?) Anyway—I guess rambling on Tumblr helps get my frustration out. The however-many random people who follow me will just have to deal with it. Best Kleavor, Lord of the Woods, without battling him even once. It still took a while chucking balms but it got done!~
Before that though. I spent a while completing dex entries just about perfecting a few. One thing I like to do in all my Pokemon game playthroughs is nickname the first capture of every species I get. Probably a habit from when I first started playing the games.
I named my starter Maka, the female Cyndaqui, who was originally going to be named Mako after Iroh’s original voice actor and character from Legend of Korra who is pretty quiet.
The protagonist from Soul Eater can see souls so the theme isn’t too far off. My first shiny is a male Wurmple. The hardest part so far was grinding Poison Powder and Strong Style moves for Dustox. Beating all those Starly is the only thing that comes close so far...
I do not do this poll lightly.

Drabble #29 “It’s okay to cry”
writing maniac I am lol basen on this list
Fandom: Pokémon Legends Arceus
Characters: Adaman, Reader
Genre: Hurt/Comfort/Fluff
Words: 1.661
Saying your day was shitty was an understatement. The villagers called you again names and throwing false rumors around (That weird person from rift – stranger with an odd sense of fashion – they only can stay because they surely sleep with someone from the stuff). Work itself was tough as always and you had a nightmare the night before – so, you were tired and exhausted – and nearly on the edge to cry. However, you had not the strength or more, the confidant to let out your feelings with the people around you judging. On every corner, you get the feeling of not welcomed in their middle – and the commander often gave you a feeling he would throw you out in an instant with the next odd event. They were not your friends – but also not your enemies. You were just all alone.
The nightmare was the most terrible part right now. You were back home, in your time. However, no one seemed to recognize you. They looked pitiful at you, judging like the villagers. “We are glad you fall into the other world. You are a pretty burden to us, and no one will miss you.”
You know for sure that they would never say that – even with different opinions about various topics, your family and friends loved you. Still, to see their faces so cold, so judging, and with all those words – it haunted you.
It was around lunchtime – most of the villagers enjoyed their being with others, doing chores or whatever. You had to wait for new missions from the commander. So-called commander was currently in a meeting with the clan leaders, so you were waiting outside the building. Nevertheless, the thoughts haunting you and you felt like you could not breathe anymore. Your eyes scanned the surroundings, and the way to the beach of the beginning was before you. This was maybe the only place where you could be all for yourself. No judging glazes, no harsh words, no nightmares. Just you and the surface.
You went directly to it, waving goodbye to the guards at the entrance. You speed up your foot and soon, the calming sounds of the ocean hitting at the sand reached your ears.
You inhale the cold breeze into your lungs. However, it could not wash away your dark clouds over you. In addition, even on the edge, the tears did not come. They burnt in your eyes, burning a hard impact into your head. No sight of relive.
“Ah, there you are, stranger from the rift”
A kind of familiar voice appeared behind you. You heard it before when the commander introduced you to the two leaders. You really had no business with them yet, so they were also some persons judging you from your appearance or the fact how you came into the world.
It was the male leader – you had forgotten his name now – who approached you. You were still not in a good mood to just switch to the man, asking politely what was going on or else. You even did not have the strength to greet back. Well, even with enough strength, you were name again a stranger and the feeling burnt into your mind. So, you did not move. You did not react to him.
“Hey, I am talking to you!” he voiced out a bit louder. You heard his footsteps, then a hand turning you around to face the man. He was pissed from what you could read in his face. His eyebrows were frown together and his glaze seemed to pierce you. On the other side, you only managed a blank face. It is the only thing you could do – which leads to more passive aggressive behavior from the leader before you. “It is not really polite to ignore someone”, he said. “Well, must be a thing in your world, stranger. “
It was not this sentence, which broke you apart. It was more the mostly quiet “What an odd world”. He turned around and started walking back. You just stand there with a blank face. The man seemed to notice you were not walking alongside him. He sighed a bit annoyed, and then turning around to you again…only to freeze in place.
There were tear strains on your face. You had not realize that tears formed in your eyes with the last thing he said.
His face soften immediately and he approached you faster than before. However, before he would dare to touch you again, you shriek back. A sudden burning rage formed in your gut.
“DON’T TOUCH ME!” you yelled at him. You knew he was just the last thing, which caused you to explode. He was not responsible for the things happing to you. Nevertheless, he was now the only person around and would feel the out bursting feelings. “AND LEAVE ME ALONE. I DO NOT NEED ANY PITY SAYINGS FROM PEOPLE WHO ASSAULT ME THE WHOLE TIME. I GODDAMN FUCKING KNOW THE COMMANDER WANTS TO TALK TO ME. I GET IT! I DO NOT NEED A BABYSITTER WHO CALLED ME NAMES INSTEAD OF MY REAL NAME. AM I NOT ALLOW TO BE FOR MYSELF, JUST FOR 5 MINUTES? IT IS SO HARD TO SOLVE ALL YOUR IDIOTIC PROBLEMS BECAUSE YOU SEEMED ALL TO DUMB FOR THAT BECAUSE OH YEAH, POKÉMON ARE SO FRIGHTING. DO I GET A THANK YOU FOR IT? OF COURSE NOT! YEAH, WHY BEING POLITE WITH SOMEONE LOST IN A DIFFERENT TIME, FAR AWAY FROM FAMILY, FRIENDS AND A HOME. FAR AWAY FROM ANY GOOD FEELING. JUST LEFT ALONE WITH HATE, JUDGING AND THE CONSTANT FEAR OF DEATH BECAUSE I CAN GET THROW OUT EVERY SECOND FOR NOTHING!”
With every yelling, he ducked a bit back and just watched you continue yelling at him. His eyes got a bit widen with the amount of things you threw against his head. There were many questions in his head. However, it was now more important to calm you down.
Eventually, you got quieter after the whole bunch of yelling. The realization hit you harder and you turned around completely embarrassed. You just had yelled at someone foreign and random to you – to one of the leaders who seemed to be in a very important connection to the village. You would be okay if it was just a villager. You were okay with being judge before them. However, it was not a normal villager. He would surely tell the commander. You will be kick out, living on your own and facing death sooner as you expected.
“Sorry, I should have keep my emotions to myself” was your attempt to solve the uncomfortable atmosphere. You just wanted to hide and cry. You prayed he would just forget what happen minutes ago and leave you by.
He did not.
Before you could hiss or yell back about the sudden affection, he took you…into a hug. You expected plenty of things – not this. In seconds, you face the blue of his haori while his…hand softly caress your back up and down.
“I am sorry I said that before” he started. “I have not realize I hurt you with my simple sayings. That was not my intention, I just went the way the others did. Which seemed not the right way.”
You suppressed the urge to cry aloud and just stare at the haori. A distressed whimper escaped your throat.
“I…did not know you had to face so many things all alone. It really hurts to hear you are treat so badly. I am sorry. I cannot imagine the hurt, stress and sadness you experience lately. And…”
He seemed to notice how hesitant you were, how frightened to show any feelings.
“…It’s okay to cry. I will not judge you, I promise. I will stand here as long as you need to calm down, okay?”
It could be his warm, or his softly smoothing scent, maybe the honest in his answer – which finally let you accept the hug. You pressed your face into his shoulder. His one hand caressing the back, the other holding you softly in the embrace. And you start crying. The atmosphere was fill with the sounds of your crying, your whimpers, and your sobs. He just stands by your side. Waiting for you to calm down.
You had no idea how long you two were out there. You parted and looked a bit shy to the ground. You just cried a pretty big and obviously pattern on his clothing – but he did not seem to care about.
“Everything okay? How are you feeling?” he asked - his voice still with a bit of worry.
“I am a bit…better…I guess. And a bit…relieved…” you said, still watching to the ground.
“Sounds good,” he said, noticing the glaze on the ground. “Still…embarrassed to look up?”
You nod. He was good in reading people.
“And you don’t have to be afraid. I will tell no one what happens here. Under one condition.”
You wanted to yell again at him. The nicely feeling of finally founding a friendly people vanished by his last saying. You looked up to him, ready to burst out again.
“Ah, finally looking into my face,” he just joked. Then he got serious. “If you ever need someone to vent on…or just crying out…count on me!”
“What…?” you said a bit caught off-guard.
He only chuckled a bit by your expression. “I mean it. I know we don’t know each other deeply right now, but I can feel something special from you. Something the others don’t want to see. Something I want to see… In addition, I cannot stand seeing someone in distress and crying. Let me be your friend who you can rely on.”
He was the first person who acted normally around you…after you yelled the hell against him accidentally. And you had a feeling that now would finally start a good time with your new friend.
“I’m [Y/N]!”

oi! 9 and 14 for the salty asks?

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?
hmmm... ok i didnt think this was gonna be a hard one! then again, everytime i get a question like this i have a hard time coming up with an answer.
Oleana and Rose are up there for their writing 100%. I don't like how Oleana is just a crazy secretary in the games. im so so SO happy about her Twilight Wings Episode; but i really wish that we saw this in-game (then again i havent. seen the dlcs AT ALL so if she does show up again... i wouldnt know lol). Rose is just.... a mess. Like, I see people debate whether he's good, or bad, or morally grey, but thats the thing- I feel like his character is all OVER the place and he was just. Done so badly. I'm ok with these two otherwise but when it comes to their character writing its just. help me
Professor Bellis(?) From Pokemas. Why do you use so many languages in your dialogue PLEASE
Paulo, at least his character arc rn. Please DeNA just hurry up and make him evil already or whatever its taking forever. also give my girl Tina some time to shine on her own.... i love Paulo but DeNA drawing this out longer than it needs to be.
Can't think of any other characters I'd say I actually dont like for once.
14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?
i need every single fandom member on twitter to move to tumblr STAT im not logging back on there for pkmn content /hj /lh
People can complain about how no one hates pokemon more than pokemon fans, or how pokemon fans are never satisfied, but thats because these games are just... disappointing coming from GameFreak.
Like, ok, I wouldnt call Pokemon Legends: Arceus terrible. I thought it was great! It was really fun and I played it for MONTHS. But theres issues that reflect how badly the time constraints are on the games quality: Its storyline and graphics aren't the best, they arent complete shit but they are pretty disappointing coming from a 90 billion dollar game development company.
I'm not saying that means they should be perfect at making games, I'm saying that means they should have the time and money to create something at least enjoyable in every aspect. Another example with SwSh: Good graphics, great character design and beautiful environment design for the towns, but oh my god did the plot of the game suffer.
PLA also came out with no Pokemon HOME compatibility as well as BDSP, which is also disappointing: you think that these games would have compatibility soon after release but that didnt come out until May 18th, approx. 4 months after PL:A came out. IIRC, Sun and Moon got Bank compatibility 2 months after their release. These games are coming out missing core features and adding them so much later! It's disappointing.
With ScVi coming out tomorrow (despite being leaked COMPLETELY) I can't say my hopes are too high about it, and its likely I'll have to wait until Christmas for it to see the whole thing for myself. ScVi apparently began development in 2019, but unless it can reflect that it's been given the time it needed, they have GOT to stop cranking these games out every year.

my annual February shiny hunt is on soon! February, if that title is to be believed. this year, i’ll try to get two games going: Y and Legends Arceus! i’ll prefer hunting in Y if i have to choose, but i think it could be fun to get the two working together.
in Y, i’ll be in Route 4. i am specifically going for a Shiny Combee, and the closest thing to a zonk is gonna be Ledyba. i expect four, even if i stick to the Yellow Flowers.    that said, every other encounter on the route i consider good. if i somehow manage to get plenty of all ‘mons off of that route, i’ll swoop around to route 22, as that gives a pretty healthy selection with no repeats and no real misses to me. if i somehow manage to get a bunch of ‘mons there too, then i’m gonna call it a good month. :p
as for Arceus’ role in this, it’s to hunt in those Space-Time Distortions. Johtonian Sneasel, Porygon, Magnemite, Cranidos, and Shieldon are exclusive to the bubbles, and i want to make a solid effort to get a full-as-possible living shiny dex in that game, since those are really the big things holding it back. also, Cherubi, sorta, but because i expect there to be a ton of waiting around for the former to pop up, i think it’ll be nice to weave the two together.
depending on exactly how many encounters i get, we might be looking at weekly updates from Y, or possibly a mid-month and end-of-month update about that. Arceus, if i’m lucky, will have enough encounters to stitch together a video for. i’ll hit a bit a ton on the plans and ideas for the rest of the year, i excluded a tangent that seemed a bit much. i’ll just put it under a Keep Reading, because details can get long and i want to respect Dashes.
first things first, the most common thing on this blog, Switch games. hopefully, there’s not gonna be much going on in Splat 3 in Feb. i’d give a sigh of relief if, if there is some event, it was at the end of the month. the rest of the year is gonna be fine, i just don’t want it crunching on the shiny hunt. i expect the DLC this year, but no sense in rushing that. the new game i got for the holidays(i’m excepting World’s End Club) are queuing up, not much to say there. if i get the majority of Distortion Pokemon in Arceus, maybe a small uptick from that afterwards.    about like a week ago, i learned i can way more easily move my teams from any game that can connect to Pokemon Home to my main files, so i want to do a Poison monotype in Shield this year. if anyone wants me to specifically try another type sooner or later, i’m open to the idea, i was thinking about it a bit and realized that Shield is a shockingly light game for me, and i won’t feel too roughed up about replaying that a bit more. that said, if i’m the only one, i already got a priority list lined up(i’m feeling Rock, ice, and Dragon, to match gens 6 & 7, and Steel, which i’ll elaborate on when i get to it, so i know now next years monotypes for X and UM). i doubt i’d do all 18 types, but i’m already considering five, what’s 13 more? maybe trim content, at that point badge completion is more a formality on my end. i don’t feel the need to do a major revisit to any other games i played before.    you know, i think i’m getting a better handle on why i like Nemona so much...
i think the only new full game i know about this year will be Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. it’s on my radar.    that said, 30 minute(maybe more like 3 hour) break, taking a bit to look into planned releases coming up, and a quick browse through the eShop, i got myself a list of other games to keep an eye out for, i figure i’ll get them as i get them if i want to get them. i’m kinda leaning towards other Monster Master sorts of games, the three big ones i saw on there being Temtem, Coromon, and Nexomon. Temtem’s the priciest by about double, i’ll look into the trio sooner or later, see what’s up with them. Dark Souls Remastered sounds serviceable on Switch, and there’s a few others i didn’t expect to find either.
off of the Switch, a small liveblog of Digimon Dawn, which i figure i’ll go with way less posts compared to Dusk, more so detailing differences. for that, i think i’ll aim to start mid-March. then i got some Dragon monotypes between X and Ultra Moon, the latter of which we can expect to see photos from. to better guide me on timing, i know i have a trip to visit family in July, and after that i’ll do a liveblog for a Smeargle team in Moon. maybe a handful of photos from that one? it’s kinda silly to have multiple photos of a single Pokemon over a whole game, especially since the Photo Club isn’t actually IN Moon, and it just gets sillier when the idea of doing an Ultra Moon run is still not wholly off the table in my book.    i don’t want to do a Smeargle run in Ultra Moon yet because, frankly, Molayne scares me more than Hala. this is meant to say more about Molayne than Hala, truthfully. in either case though, the relatively early Route 2 provides Smeargles in both games, so this marks the first time i won’t feel i need to trade a team in. exciting! i got a few ideas already, but i’m not gonna look up much details until later, i’m planning to do this sometime starting in July after all.

so the other day i used a sysbot to get the remaining scarlet exclusives i needed, completing the pokedex just before the year ended
then in the days since, i rematched the gym leaders, made sure i have one of every paldea dex pokemon in the pc (as far as i can tell) so i can complete it in home easily once compatibility is added, did the academy ace tournament, and unlocked 6-7 star raids
so i guess i’m done with pokemon violet for now! at least until the dlc comes out. the only big thing really left to do is build up my team to lv100 (they’re mostly in the 80s with meowscarada at 91 and miraidon at like 75) but that might be better left until the dlc anyway
maybe making them stronger would be a good idea so i could start doing raids for those raid-exclusive pokemon (like for when cinderace comes back) but i’ve decided i don’t feel like doing that. dynamax raids were super annoying, tera raids seem less annoying in some ways (they go faster i think?) but potentially more annoying in others (seems like if you don’t have a tera type strong against it and also a resistance to its regular typing you’re screwed), and i don’t like having to deal with raids in general to get pokemon. also i only tried 5 star ones and couldn’t beat any, the thought of fighting even stronger ones (though my pokemon would be a bit stronger too) doesn’t sound fun
so maybe i’ll just skip it and get them via a sysbot (i grabbed a charizard alongside those scarlet exclusives, cinderace is too new though) or save editing (i might get around to hacking my old switch soon so i can do things like that)
ANYWAY i should get back to that living dex i was working on, since i was going to use it for gen 9 and... we’re in gen 9 (sooner than i expected unfortunately). gen 1 and 2 done, gen 3-4 just needs to be tweaked a little bit, most of 5 is probably scattered around my pc’s in white and black 2 and i can piece together the rest, 6-7 can be copied from either my bank living dexes or what i’ve got in game pc’s, and then once i’ve sent everything on from the 3ds i won’t have to worry about a possible eventual shutdown of bank after it goes free and i can take my time filling 8-9 (hacking my switch would make this part easier too)
i’ve also been thinking about the future of living dexes. i’ve been making them every gen since gen 6 (plus the one i did in gen 3), mainly as a way to give all my games easy access to every pokemon, particularly ones that you can’t get without trading. well, game freak won’t let those games have access to most of those pokemon anymore, so that makes this whole arrangement extremely redundant. the only purpose my gen 8 living dex had was to fill home’s pokedex (so at least it wasn’t a huge waste)
when i thought up the idea for this “Origin Dex” i’ve been working on, a living dex where every pokemon is sourced from its original game appearances (third/fourth versions included) i thought of it as “the living dex to end all living dexes” since i was thinking i’d just use save editing to make a new copy for each generation. but maybe it’ll be the last one because i won’t even need to copy it. i guess if home gets replaced like bank did, i might need to make another though
since pokemon home now counts your progress for each regional dex, based on whether you’ve deposited pokemon originating from that game, i might as well just start making a living regional dex in each game. that’s effectively what i did for violet (though it’s unorganized) and sort of for legends arceus (since home added that feature partway through my playthrough)
like i guess that’s probably what i should be doing instead of a generation-wide one that wouldn’t really have much of a purpose. i’ll still finish the gen 9 one though because i was planning on trying to get all moves and abilities in there, and having that plus all the mascots from their original games will mark off a lot of stuff in home

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Review - “We’ve taken steps forward and yet we’ve made no progress” (Switch)
Since the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus near the beginning of this year, fans of the franchise experienced renewed hype for any upcoming releases. Legends Arceus single-handedly improved on the formula so much that it single-handedly set what should have been the groundwork for all future Pokémon games. However, the announcement of the 9th Generation of Pokémon Games- Scarlet and Violet- came about so soon after the release of Legends Arceus that there was no conceivable way that the game could come out in November without something getting sacrificed along the way. Despite this, people kept their spirits high and awaited these games with the expectation that Game Freak did learn from their mistakes made during the development of Generation 8. Unfortunately, when the games were released, they quickly got lambasted for several issues. Even though the games had made vast improvements in the quality and variety of the gameplay itself, the performance and presentation issues make this game look like an unprofessional fan project.
Right off the bat, the dismal and unpleasant graphics make themselves known as soon as the game begins. These games look unprofessional by the standards of the 1990s, let alone the graphical fidelity that people should expect from a game released in this day and age. Cliffs look like rigidly cut chunks of clay, trees look empty and blurry and attempts to look over the vast open world make one feel as if someone has just thrown salt into their eyes with how blurry it can look. It’s baffling to think that the abysmal graphics of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are running on the same console that can effortlessly run more graphically intensive games like Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The graphics are the least of one’s worries when playing this game, however.
To put it bluntly, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are unfinished games. The number of performance issues these dual releases suffer from is inexcusable for any game. The draw distance is so poor that NPC models will pop into existence by the time the player is 3 feet away from them, and even then, those NPCs will be moving at framerates so noticeably slow that it becomes distracting. Several animations also take ludicrously long to load and have pauses in the middle that stay on screen long enough to make one wonder if the game crashed. The game feels as if it could crumble apart whenever from how un-polished it performs.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet also suffer from several glitches that almost reach the point where the audience should demand product recalls. People have recorded instances of characters flying away into the atmosphere, characters clipping and falling through the ground, animations freaking out, characters riding invisible steeds, the player character being able to move during points where they should not be able to move and entire areas with holes in the collision detection large enough to drive a semi-truck through! During my playthrough, I witnessed a wild Pokémon walk up to a tree, stop moving, slide up the tree, and then stay there without moving a muscle. The company that made these games- Game Freak- has no excuse for programming this poor when they own the most profitable media franchise in history. These games metaphorically produce money from thin air when they are released, so there is no excuse for the production company to either take more time developing these games or hire more staff to get the game done quicker.
On top of all these inherent flaws, several aspects of these games crave improvement. Characters will spout bland, uninteresting, and voiceless dialogue that feels as if it has been copied straight from the Generation 8 games at times. Furthermore, despite boasting an open world and the ability to tackle objectives in any order the player desires, Scarlet and Violet still end up creating a linear adventure due to the lack of level scaling and the utterly baffling return of the level cap. You still have to fight Gym Leaders to get badges to increase the level limit for your Pokémon, and the set levels for every plot-important encounter encourage the player to tackle objectives in a pre-destined order. These two aspects actively discourage the player from exploring the world around them and nearly destroy the main feature of these games.
However, even though all of the previously mentioned issues may cause one to believe that these games are entirely insufferable to play, the gameplay miraculously ended up being very enjoyable. Even if the game feels like the only thing holding it together is paper clips and pre-used duct tape, it does not detract from the amount of time and care put into the gameplay. Most of the quality-of-life features from Legends Arceus show up in Scarlet and Violet, and new features like the ability to access the Pokémon Storage without needing to go to a Pokémon Center help the game flow better and feel less cumbersome than the older releases. Combat moves much quicker, and catching Pokémon is swift, concise, and gets straight to the point. You can even let your Pokémon run around the environment and get free, easy EXP by sending them at wild Pokémon! Additionally, even though the open-world concept is damaged heavily by the linear aspects of the game, exploration still ends up being incredibly enjoyable! The amount of time one will burn away while wandering around the open world and encountering wild Pokémon is immense!
All in all, despite the surprisingly decent gameplay, I give Pokémon Scarlet and Violet a 4/10, and I would say that these are games not worth the $60 price tag they boast right now. Give it some time, wait for an update that makes the game look presentable or a price drop, and give it a look if you’re interested.

Okay so Scarlet/Violet
I’m actually kinda upset because this feels WAY too soon for 9th gen.  I’m worried about support being dropped for stuff like Bank and 6th gen trading, ESPECIALLY since the 3ds eshop is officially closing (in a year).  I’ve been trying to work towards completion in some of my older games, so that I can then transfer all my favorites up into games that won’t get cut off from support.  But I’m frequently sidetracked by extra goals that don’t quite matter.
I could probably write a whole book about the really dumb and unnecessary way I’m managing my 3rd and 4th gen games right now but whatever.
The trailer honestly looks like it could have been Sword and Shield DLC, if not for the starter reveal.  I don’t actually care that much about graphics, but it’s weird that it’s basically the same style for everything.  I would have hoped for maybe some more detailed terrain.  There’s a lot of flat plains and gentle slopes, just like the Wild Area.  I wonder if you can control the camera in towns?  Dynamic moving cameras in the trailer aren’t necessarily a sign of that.
I kinda like how the male and female trainer designs are nearly identical.  There’s not a lot of point in making them real characters if the game will likely have customization options.  I get mild Ghibli vibes from the design.
Sprigatito: It’s just a cat.  If they gave it even one single leaf somewhere on its body I’d be happy.  The fluff on its neck is probably intended to evolve into leaves, but it’d be cuter with some undeniable plantiness.  It’s a little bland.  I have no opinion on the biped/quadruped thing people are carrying over from the Incineroar discourse.
Fuecoco: It looks like someone saw a blurry screenshot of Applin and tried to predict it’s evolution.  I like it but it feels fake.  I’m excited to see it evolve into the fakest looking thing ever just so we can all be mad.
Quaxly: Literally just Donald.  But I love him.  I’m biased towards water starters so my opinion should not be counted.  It’s a brilliantly vague design, every little curve of it’s stupid hat and it’s stupid feet feels like it’s intended to be not a generic duck but nobody can explain why.  I’ve seen predictions that it’s a matador, a pirate, a blue-footed booby, all three, something else, literally just Donald, who knows?  Worried it’s gonna break my heart like Sobble did.
I will not be buying any new Pokemon games (I have not bought Legends Arceus) until I clear some backlog.  I may, if I get a good opportunity, blow $200 on a used copy of Colosseum for reasons related to paragraph 1.

Pokemon to Become As Gods.
So apparently Pokemon Legends Arceus came out and we found out a bunch! That pokemon apparently shrink! That Giratina’s violence was before the past and also that Palkia looks kinda cool as a horse. But if anything, we’ve also found out that the concept of usurping Arceus’s power is something that may happen. Or at least that its enough of a threat to the goat in the gate that he has to send a 15 year old to strike down his irresponsible teenagers. Appearance (at least according to the Legends Pokedex) is everything and that leads me to Type:Null. Or more specifically, how he would fit into Mystery Dungeon.
Now Mystery Dungeon lore is a whole can of worms that I don’t wanna dive into (if the whole thing with gears and Super Mystery Dungeon and Hydreigon and FUCKING MEWTWO) but how exactly would Type:Null fit into that whole mess? Simple, A golden Bull. Let’s say that certain pokemon, maybe a collection of Zorua or Ditto, simply got tired with the current power structure. Pseudo Legendaries and Mythicals and Arceus himself. Especially Arceus. The One Above All Himself, so high above any normal pokemon that he neglected to even consider their position. Or maybe the drive was of a more selfish reason, who knows? Point is- they get to plotting. And in their plotting comes something rare. The energy of Mew or Mewtwo. A strong enough Transform should be able to withstand a couple of experiments. Taking the genes of every pokemon and instead mutating it. Transform requires a pokemon in sight but when you have the genes of every pokemon inside you, the memory of every Titan!(see new Pokedex in the Gen 4 remakes) you can become whatever you want. So in a display of disregard of Poke-God comes the true mutation.  A couple tries a couple failures. Dittos choking on dry land as their attempts to reach God lead them to a hell of their own design.Until finally, the power scaling and body parts fit to make a distorted puzzle. A sickness and a mockery of what fool assumes a just representation looks like. The Golden Bull to Silver Bird itself,Silvally.
Silvally soon becomes a wandering King. A deity. For what is a true King, but a God among Earth, his will over all within his eyes. Gaining fame, fucking around with the bad and supporting the good. Within the Silvally comes everything a hero can be. Something you can see yourself in and emulate. His face becomes everything, and his presences soon overwhelms anything. Pokemon bow to it, they worship it, he is the Word, He is the Way, He Holds the Memories of the beginning of the Types. But Silvally has an error.
He cannot escape his namesake. He cannot escape. RKS.
So one day, after a total day of being bad ass and shit, it all goes down. God finally deigns to respond to the taunt that had been made on Earth. Now its been a couple decades so Pokemon forget just how strong Arceus is. The mockery sets in. Some big White thing lays on top of the mountain who deigns a challenge to the God-King Silvally.  And Silvally feels the Pokemon behind him. He has reached so high on his pedestal that he only stare at awe at the stars while he forgets how hard it is to truly breath so high up there. And the fight has started. And its great. Silvally pulling memory after memory, striking Arceus with all he has until it falls to a knee. So many blows and its like Arceus put no guard up, Silvally struck before it could attack. Almost a pitiful display. And the cheers, the endorphins, the adrenaline pumping, it has to answer to his fans, his subjects and he goes to strike.
And then it stops. The Cheers slow down to a distortion. The faces are mixed together and every further movement is like moving through molasses. And then the deep red of Arceus stares into him. And the current memory Silvally held goes blank. There’s nothing. Nothing to draw on, no prior experience from the Titans of the Before. And the deep red grows to surround him, its the ground, its everywhere. It jumps and as it looks upwards,it sees nothing but... demise.
There is no end, there is no end to the bloodshed above. Heaven was built on pure souls so why is there so much screaming at the gates? And it clicks. This was no memory. It was experienced. A hell that could only be created by the mind of those who had walked through the flames. There was nothing there. And the white turned to Safety
And the Gold turned to Empathy
And the Red turned to Love
But Deeper. So much deeper.
Was Infinite Love
Covering the Infinite Malice of a God who had expressed itself.
The punishment given was a mercy, and a mockery in return. Old Testament kinda god.
The Power was still there but locked. Locked and Suppressed under a helmet stronger than anything that could broken on the Planet.
And so everything was taken. A memory formed, burned into his helmet.
It was nothing, It was
Type:Null.

For the prompt thing, with Wake Up! Maybe your sneasels Fern and Splatter want to go play and are trying to wake Ingo up, who would like to sleep in a little longer. They realize tickling is the only thing that will get him up and moving.
Hello anon! Cute idea! I hope you enjoy Day 21 of Tickletober: Wake up!
Wake up, Ingo!
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo and the Sneasel twins: Fern and Splatter
Words: 607
Summary: Fern and Splatter want to go play, but Ingo wants to stay asleep, resulting in the twins using a playful method to wake him up. Enjoy!
The dawn of the sun emerges over the horizon of the Coronet Highlands, and the light creeps into Lady Sneasler’s cave. The noble pokemon is already out and about gathering berries, but her two Sneasel children and the Pearl Clan Warden, Ingo, reside in the cave—some much more awake than others.
Although it's early in the morning, the twins are already raring to go out and play. They hop around Ingo and try to shake him out of his slumber so that he can come with them, but the warden wants to stay asleep in his warm blanket and thin rolled out mattress.
After shaking him provides no results, Fern and Splatter run over to the end of the mattress to tug off the covers. This time, the warden shows some kind of groggy movement, but only to fix the blanket that the twins had previously shifted.
"Just five more minutes you two…" Ingo pulls up the covers over his side and tries to fall back asleep. Usually he’s awake around this time, but more sleep sounds good right about now.
Fern huffs at the warden’s refusal to cooperate. Thinking of a new plan, she hops up onto Ingo and pulls back the sheets again to reveal his side. Splatter watches, having a feeling that he knows exactly what his sister is planning to do.
Seeing that Ingo is still asleep and unaware of her plan, Fern strikes. She wiggles her claws into the side of his uniform to tickle him, a smug little look on her face knowing that the warden is completely susceptible to this little tactic and won’t be able to stay asleep for long.
Right away, soft giggles start pouring from Ingo as he’s awoken from his slumber. He opens one eye and tries to gently nudge the little creature away from that spot on his side. “Fehern, nohohot right nohohow.”
Fern tries to fight him off, then chirps at Splatter to help her. The younger twin nods and positions himself near the sleepy warden’s middle, poking his claws directly into Ingo’s stomach.
Ingo twitches. “Splahahatter, nohohot you too,” he uses a hand to now shield his tummy and gently push the small cat-like creature away. Although Ingo is more awake than he was a minute ago, he’s still not persuaded to jump out of bed just yet. It seems drastic measures will be need to be taken to get this sleepy warden to wake up!
Fern growls at his stubbornness and pulls out another trick in her book of playful tactics. She lifts the end of his uniform and quickly crawls under the fabric to start climbing around his torso. Immediately, Ingo sits up with a giggly gasp once he feels the furry creature roaming about his skin.
“Fehehern! Gehehet out of thehehere!” Ingo wraps his arms around himself to try and stop Fern’s ticklish exploration of his torso. Splatter thinks it looks like fun, so he jumps in to help too. He slips his little body under the other part of Ingo’s uniform, then skitters up and around the warden like he was scaling a mountain.
Ingo squeezes his arms to his sides and wiggles around as the little sneasel twins persist with their sneak attack under his clothes. “Ohohokay! Okahay! I’m up!”
The two sneasels hop out as soon as they hear Ingo give in. They twist around to face the warden and cheerfully squeak with a smile. The day has only just begun, but even in their waking moments, the twins are already up to their usual shenanigans when it comes to playing and spending time with their warden.

Happy Birthday 🎊🎉
I hope you get some time to relax and play Arceus Legends this weekend. You deserve it.
And if Future Built spoilers are an option, spoilers please! Whatever you particularly feel like chatting about.
That is my plan at least I need to make at least one more run out into the wilds but after that I fully intend to just play Arceus to my heart's content (and also make Arceus regret the day it kidnapped an ecologist for this mission).
But if it's any spoilers...I kind of want to talk about Lucina's birth.
Quite literally everyone in Ylisstol is waiting with bated breath once Sumia goes into labor. It's not so surprising, though, given the events of the winter: things might have settled, but there's still that question of just whose child she's carrying. Chrom and Robin, of course, know with absolute certainty that there's only one answer -- but the city doesn't have that same insight, and so the news spreads like absolute wildfire when her water breaks.
Since no one can predict exactly when a baby's going to be born, Chrom and Robin both went to attend their council duties that day; as soon as a servant arrives with the news that Sumia's giving birth, though, Chrom and Robin share a look of anxious excitement before Robin tells Chrom to go to her, promising to keep things moving in his absence. Chrom pauses just long enough to thank him before racing out of the council chambers and off to their apartments to be with Sumia through the birth of their first child, to hold her hand and help her in whatever small ways he can.
(When he gets there, Sumia asks in a breathless whisper where Robin is, and Chrom promises that he'll be coming as soon as he's able; they all know it'll only be after the birth, but it's enough to know that he's thinking of her even if he can't be by her side.)
Once the baby's born, her blue hair is absolutely unmistakable: she's Chrom's through and through. Though there's no visible Brand yet (it will start showing once her eyes begin to darken; when she's born the Brand is the same color as her baby blue eyes, so it's impossible to see), it's still an absolutely joyous occasion, and word sweeps through the city and off toward the wider halidom announcing the birth of Chrom and Sumia's first child. Things remain hectic throughout the day and well into the evening...
...but once things grow quiet, Chrom slips out to fetch Robin. He's almost surprised to find him in his room, rather than in the archives where he still spends so much of his time -- but, as he shyly explains, he wanted to be close. Chrom guides him in to see Sumia and their newborn daughter, and Sumia offers to let Robin hold her; Robin's worried because he doesn't know how, but she demonstrates before handing him the baby, and he holds her so gently, absolutely in awe of the new little life in his arms.
Chrom tells him that her name is Lucina -- a fitting name, they all agreed, since she is the new light of hope after such a troubled time...and when Robin congratulates them on their beautiful daughter, Sumia corrects him, because Lucina isn't just her's and Chrom's -- she's Robin's, too. He belongs with them, he's part of their family, meaning that Lucina is his daughter as much as their's. Chrom regrets that he can't openly be her father the way that Chrom is -- but that in no way changes the part they want him to have in her life.
Sumia and Chrom both see Robin melt at that reassurance, cradling little Lucina that much more tenderly in his arms.

Boopy's dumb thoughts on today's Pokemon Anouncements
Finna go in order of anouncements! Let’s gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Spoilers for the anouncements obvs
1. Pokemon Go does not interest me one bit, but I love Alolan Pokemon! Togedemaru is my favourite Pokemon so it makes me very happy to know very sooon that a lot more people are gonna meet it!
2. Man Steven, N and Leon in the same place?! Masters has me fucking sweating. I don’t understand why Pokemon can’t just give us a dating sim already smh my hat.
Also I love May’s, Skyla’s and Raihan new outfits! They all look amazing! I particularly love May’s dress and Raihan’s coulour scheme.
3. Pokemon Café also doesn’t interest me but OMG the artstyle is cute as HECK! It looks like a picture book! Man, I hope Pokemon actually make some kind of artbook with that style because I would buy it ASAP
4. I have literally nothing to say about Unite so moving on
5. Freaking love Shaymin so yall know that as soon as I could, I grabbed my switch and got that funky little green hedgehog. I had to do that whole escort mission thing first since I hadn’t gone there before which was very annoying but ahhhhhhhhhhh I love all the flowers and the little shaymin is so fucking cute omg. Named mine Blossom after a plush I have.
6. I still haven’t played Legends Arceus yet (I will when I have the chance, I even bought it over the weekend) but I am still super excited for this update! I have heard nothing but great things and to know there’s even more about it makes the anticipation even sweeter.
Also the little animated series they’re doing is gonna be great I can feel it! Generations, twilight wings and evolutions were top tier so I have no doubt in my mind about it!
7. Ok, so now we’re at the big one, the gen 9 reveal. Initially I thought it was like a Detective Pikachu 2 trailer (which would have been dope btw love the first movie) but when it cut to the shots of the new game… guys I nearly exploded.
