I'm sure others have made this connection but hear me out anyway:
Obviously Angel Dust joined the Hotel to have a free place to crash away from Valentino.
But, well, he's had to of noticed Molly ain't in Hell.
Granted, he got there earlier than some, if not most, of his other family. But it's been years since she could have - should have - arrived. Yet no one has ever caught a glimpse of her. There's no way she could have not seen HIM by now. When Val first told him he'd make Angel a star, he thought that was how they'd find each other. He held out for months too, sure that she'd see his films or billboards or something and finally reach out. She'd show up for him like she always did. Even when the rest of his family was shit, he had his other half.
But she never came.
Molly wasn't there with the rest of them. She made it somewhere else. Somewhere she belonged.
So when he first hears about the Princess of Hell's little crackpot scheme, her silly initiative to redeem hells corrupted souls and send them to Heaven, he rolls his eyes and moves on with his day. But he stews over it in between and sometimes during particularly rough shoots.
It probably won't work but on the off, off chance that it does . . . what else does Angel have to lose?

“Tomgregs did not win actually. Tom bought Greg like piece of furniture; he only likes having power over someone!”
First, I think you have to be being delibrately obtuse to not see that there is affection between them.
But also: So? Who cares? Not Greg. Greg wants someone to take care of him and give him a bunch of money because he likes not sleeping in churches and also money=love to him. Tom is clearly on board to be that for him for the foreseeable future no matter how much of a fuck up Greg is. They’re both getting whatever it is out of this relationship that they want. Good for them! Love wins!

As much as I would have loved for Kenjaku and Yuji to have more interactions, another part of me now actually liked the little interaction they had.
It's just as tragic, if not more tragic. But also it goes with the idea that Yuji doesn't know his parents or more of his family.
The most he knows now probably is that Choso and the Death Paintings are his (half) siblings and Kenjaku had something to do with it (Choso probably told him so).
Yuji learning about Choso being his brother is a good thing for him. The time he did act unsatisfied with the idea was back in Shibuya. After that, we seen their relationship got better. He had Choso at his side since then.
Now what good would it do if Yuji learned the truth about how he's related Kenjaku and Sukuna? In fact, would he even care?
Remember when Wasuke tried to tell him about his parents? Didn't care to hear that.
When Junpei asked about his parents? Didn't remember little to nothing about his dad and nothing at all about his mom. But he didn't seem entirely brokenhearted. He seemed... like he accepted it, moved past that.
The thing with Yuji is... if Sukuna decides to throw it in their face that they're related, I doubt Yuji would break down in tears and give up fighting.
That's not Yuji.
Two reactions I feel like Yuji would give.
Either he will be furious or he'll brush it off as he normally does with Sukuna's antics.
With him being furious, it will just give him more reason to hate Sukuna and kill him. Family be damned. We seen Yuji angry. Look, Sukuna already got hit with back to back Black Flashes. I don't think he wants Yuji angry. Nuh uh. Sukuna don't do that.
Honestly though... I also feel like Sukuna doesn't give a damn about telling Yuji.
Anyways!
Same with Kenjaku. I don't think Yuji would actually care to know Kenjaku is his mother (by host). Again, what good would it do for him?
I also feel like he may have figured it out by now. Yuji ain't all that dumb now. I said it before but I do think he may have caught on by now or at least will later. And I don't think he would be fazed.
Would he think it would be cruel that Kenjaku have done such things? Yes! Would he not like the fact he was created by Kenjaku to be Sukuna's vessel and be related to those two? Also, yes. He'd hate that idea.
But Yuji just doesn't come off as someone who dwells on the past like that, let alone would be like "oh, woe is me, my family is so messed up" and cry waterfalls.
He's just more of a "What's done is done and I'll do what I can to make the best of it" person to me. He accepts, he learns and does what he can to make the most of out a bad situation.
Him knowing he's related to Kenjaku and Sukuna in some way will not change the fact that they're both evil and done terrible things or Yuji's feelings.
Sometimes I feel like the reason we don't know much about Yuji or Sukuna or others for the Heian Era is for the purpose of not needing to.
Yes, knowing about the past can help. But sometimes knowing, it doesn't have a purpose other than having extra information.
Maybe not knowing much about Sukuna is a way of saying "let's leave the past in the past and move on". Sukuna was not meant to be in the present times. When he's finally put to rest, that should be it for him.
It's why some of the characters like the Higher-Ups and the Zenin clan sucks and came to a downfall. Part of their awful behavior was they were more traditional and didn't care to adapt to the new changes.
That's going to be the case for Sukuna. Yuji is the present and future. Sukuna is the past. Yuji is going to be that new age that rises and push Sukuna right into the dirt where he belong.
Again, them being related and Yuji knowing ain't going to change the fact that Yuji wants Sukuna dead and he's going to kill him. So what would be the point of knowing?

I've been trying to find the right way to word this for a few days, but it's a really big pet peeve of mine when discussions of Fuuta and Kotoko and them as a duo that's narratively foiling is watered down to just their crime and comparing which of their murders are more justifiable, which usually leads to the same conclusion of "Kotoko is more right and completely justified in her murder, Fuuta was wrong and bad for his murder, #girlboss #slayhimqueen". And to put it bluntly, I find this conclusion to not only be lacking in nuance, but does a massive disservice to not only 0310 as a duo, but them as respective characters as well, and is missing a huge piece of why they are so fascinating The thing about this argument is that, to an extent, it's right. Kotoko killed an adult man who kidnapped and abused a child with the intent to kill her, and that child is now saved thanks to Kotoko. Fuuta helped lead a harassment campaign against a middle school girl who did barely anything to deserve it (not that anyone deserves to be harassed, but you get what I'm saying), and it led to that girl committing suicide. When you look at their murders side-by-side from that description alone, Kotoko's does seem like the more virtuous murder compared to Mr. Twitter User over here. But that is exactly the point. There is a very good post by @weather-cluddy and very good discussion below it detailing what I'm about to talk about, but to put it shortly: Fuuta is portrayed as a lot more physically violent and unsympathetic than Kotoko is in their MVs. Both are portrayed as physically violent, but the way it is framed through their lense and portrayed to the audience differs from the other. Fuuta is not just portrayed as violent and brutish, he is portrayed as pathetic. Kotoko is not just portrayed as violent and brutish, she is portrayed as cool while doing it (which I mean, she is cool, but that's not the point. Well it is the point but-) Fuuta's violence is aimed towards an innocent child, so it's deemed as repulsive and unjustified. Kotoko's violence is aimed towards a child kidnapper so it's deemed as justified and girlboss. Fuuta is portrayed as a wannabe hero, Kotoko is portrayed as the long-awaited hero. I could go on, but I think you get my point. Fuuta is portrayed in a much worse and harder to sympathize with light than Kotoko is, which also highlights how they themselves feel about their murders (Fuuta's guilt and Kotoko's elation). There is a very big reason as for why Fuuta was not forgiven in Trial 1 meanwhile Kotoko was the most forgiven. Because Fuuta's murder is generally thought to be worse. But here's the kicker: I think people are missing the point by putting focus onto which murder is 'worse', because that's not what makes them so comparable. What makes them comparable is the fact that they share a mindset. A mindset of vigilante justice, of a hero complex, of eliminating the bad people in the world in a faux revolution. And that mindset is exactly the one that got them into this place in the first place. And that's why it irks me when people put so much focus into deciding which murder is worse / who is more unjustified, especially since the majority of people I see this from are Kotoko fans. Your girl is literally doing the same thing you're criticizing Fuuta for in this very prison, and you aren't giving her the same amount of flack for it !!! Like- I don't know. I think putting Kotoko on a pedestal of being "morally better" than Fuuta is not only a really boring way to see things, but it misses a big piece of their characters and why they're so often paired up in the first place.

actually my idea for a good potential adaptation of the Witcher books would be either a stage play or mini series where the framing narrative is a bunch of students studying the Witcher myth featuring varying primary source documents and unreliable narrators, lots of interjections and debates that get more and more heated and then in the end, it's revealed that ciri is their guest lecturer and after delivering a last poignant joke ahout how unlikely all of that sounds and how shit that whole story is narratively, she leaps out the window and rides off into the sunset on kelpie, accompanied by unicorns. The end

What’s your opinion on whump?
Thank you for your snippets and stories, I’ve devoured each one of them. Xx
I find it an interesting element in stories, but always alongside emotion and character. I think what interests me most personally is intimacy. Whump can be part of that. Or it can say something about our boundaries, limits, fears for ourselves and others that I like to explore.
Violence for the sake of violence doesn't compel me, particularly when the focus is purely physical, though the way violence reflects and works within our society does.
But, yes. We live in a world saturated by emotional, psychological, and physical threat and forms of violence. To me, it's natural to want to explore that danger and tension and pain safely through fiction, and people will inevitably engage with it in different ways.

I saw this and I had to go back and reread 140 because I didn't remember Yuta throwing a car.
Tumblr media
Now, a car gets thrown twice. But the thing is... I don't think Yuta is the one that threw that car the second time.
I firmly believe Rika did. If Yuta done it, it probably would have been shown. But no, this plays more of "hiding what is really going on" until the reveal of Rika in the next chapter.
Rika is usually the one doing the heavy lifting anyways, so she probably did throw that car.

OK but the fact that witches have fangs but they're not visible because the art style doesn't show it, yet they deliberately chose to give Adrian prominent large fangs is pretty entertaining to me as an art nerd.
Tumblr media
Like animating fangs on characters (from what I've heard) is difficult because they have to be consistent and be kept the same size whenever the character talks.
Yet despite all that, they still chose to give him larger fangs than most witches.
I mean there have been implications that witches have fangs. One example is Gus's bucket list.
Tumblr media
So witches do indeed have fangs but they're not visible to the audience, but they are indeed there. In universe, they have baby fangs that they lose, then later their adult ones grow in. (Kinda cute ngl)
There there's also Katya, who has fangs but they're smaller.
Tumblr media
So I guess that all witches have fangs, but only a select few have more prominent ones than others.
It could be that Katya and Adrian have some beast or biped in their family tree somewhere. So that's why their fangs are more visible.
In Adrian's case, it seems that it's true for him as he also has his tail. Not too sure about Katya though.
Tumblr media
And then there’s the outlier Eberwolf who I'm pretty sure has fangs, yet they're only shown when he enters "power up beast mode". (I might be wrong on some of this I haven't seen Eberwolf scenes in a hot minute)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Idk, this is just me putting my thoughts into the void. Hope you enjoyed my analysis I guess lol.
