doppo kunikida may be known as an idealist, short-tempered, by-the-book kind of guy but to you,, to you he was doppo, he was papa, he was home.

on this particularly grey yokohama weekday you found yourself in a place too big in a mindset far too small… so as you clung to every last ounce of your big headspace you navigated yourself straight towards the agency building.

the door opened louder then you’d liked and you’d managed to depart with your big headspace as soon as you saw him your partner,, your caregiver as he looked away from his work and towards the door.

it took everything in you not to run towards his desk, but that didn’t stop you from keeping up with a little skip- finally arriving at his desk you couldn’t help but fidget, almost forgetting to flash the signal you’d both agreed upon to signify you’d regressed.

kunikida’s gaze softened as he saw you, paying close a mind to your hands waiting patiently for the signal- upon its display he made eye contact with you saying

“hi my sweet thing, i’m so happy to see you!” he said softly using one of your pet names he knew would help you slip. “can you tell papa what brings you here angel?”

you shook your head, face getting hot and tears threatening to trickle within the second- but before they could doppo was scribbling something in his notebook and showing it to you.

it was a pacifier, the same ruby red as his ribbon.

graciously you accepted it, the comfort of the object subsiding the overwhelm that had come from his question.

doppo glanced between you and his desk when he proposed another question, this time even softer and gentle than the last.

“did you bring any of your little things with you love?” he asked as he began opening one of the drawers in his desk.

you shook your head, when you’d left for the agency it was too much to grab anything more then your headphones and stuffie, you showed him the items that had been tucked beneath your arm as his desk drawer revealed that would be more than enough.

a series of small fidgets, art supplies, picture and coloring books were all neatly organized with handwritten labels relating to their purpose or the people in the agency whom certain items belonged.

doppo gestured toward the drawer saying patiently “why don’t you pick out a thing or two to keep you busy while papa finishes up his paperwork,, does that sound alright love?”

you nod, though it’s not his undivided attention you’ll still be in his company, and it’s hard to resist a good coloring session.

doppo smiles as you walk to the other side of his desk and take a seat, carefully laying out the various items you’ll be using for todays masterpiece as your caregiver returns to work.

time passes quickly with periodic check-ins and doppo’s occasional “you’re doing such a good job little one!” and “i’m so proud of you angel” easing you through headspace.

before you know it doppo has shut his computer and is stretching his hand towards you. the sun making the agency floor almost glow- the two of you are the only ones still working.

“thank you love for waiting for me” he began “i know it took a while and you were so well behaved for me… shall we go home little one? i think there are some warm blankets waiting for us.”

and with that, you took his hand and began for the exit smiling behind the pacifier he’d gifted you- today was a good day.

Cg Dazai/Little Kunikida

Kunikida had been overworking himself for a while now, and Dazai was becoming increasingly worried about him. He knew Kunikida had also been putting off regressing, which was definitely affecting Kunikida negatively. Even though he was doing so much work, the majority of it was really quite sloppily done and had to be redone by someone else.

Dazai was going to help Kunikida. He knew that regressing would help him a lot, so he planned a 'Little Day' for Kunikida, which was going to be a surprise. Kunikida was the type of little who was always busy, whether that be coloring, drawing, or something else, so Dazai searched for coloring pages, word searches, counting worksheets and a whole bunch of other fun activitys for a little to do, printed them and added some blank paper to the pile as well for if Kunikida wanted to draw instead.

Dazai set up the apartment, laying blankets and pillows on the ground in the living room, along with the activity pages, khokis, pencils, and crayons. There were also building blocks in the corner, just in case Kunikida would be feeling too small to do the more complicated worksheets, or if he just wanted to play with them. He also got a sippy cup and filled it with apple juice, as well as made Mac 'n Cheese, which he would pop in the microwave later if by the time Kunikida arrived, it was cold. Everything was set, and now Dazai just had to wait for Kunikida to get there.

When Kunikida finally arrived, he saw all the things that he loved when he was regressed and regressed right on the spot, the regression he had been trying to avoid finally taking over. "Dada?" He called, Dazai heard him and immediately came around the corner to greet him. "Hi, baby. I've set up some fun activities for you. What would you like to do first? Dazai asked, giving Kunikida his Mac 'n Cheese.

"Cowour?" Kunikida requested, pointing at a coloring page of a puppy. "Alright, hun." Dazai got the page as well as some coloring supplies for Kunikida and layed them on a flat surface. Kunikida happily sat down on the blanket, shifting so he was on his tummy, kicking his feet in the air and started to colour. He was coloring in the puppy, and he made its nose green, its face and right ear yellow, its left ear orange, its eyes blue, and the rest of it purple. He was very proud of it and showed it off to Dazai before hurrying away again and selecting a word search from the pile to do.

After a while, he had found five of the eight words, but three of them were still missing. "Dada!" He called. "What do you need, baby?" Dazai asked as he sat besides Kunikida. "Can't find da words." Kunikida complained. "Alright. I can help if you want?" Kunikida nodded his head. " Okay. Two of the words start with an E, so maybe look at all the Es and see if the next letter of one of the words is next to it." Dazai suggested. Kunikida tried that, and soon all three words were found. He did a spot-the-difference work sheet as well as a counting one, finished his juice and Mac 'n Cheese, got ready for bed, and as soon as Dazai tucked him into bed, he was out like a light, fast asleep.

•He had absolutely no idea that age regression was even a thing. He talked to Kunikida about it, who explained it to him.

•He didn't really understand it at first, and was unsure about it.

•After you explained to him what your regression meant to you, how it helped you, and what exactly it was. He slowly started to make more sense of it.

•He took care of you for the first time when you regressed after a mission. It was stressful and dangerous, and you happened to feel small. Dazai subtly noticed your shift in mood, and it took him a bit to realize you were probably regressed. He silently sat down next to you, and pulled you into a hug. He then asked if you're regressed, or if this is what it's like for you to be little. (Everyone's regression is different, this is just an example.)

•He was super awkward and didn't really know what to do, so he brought you back to the agency, and say you down in his office. He got out some paper and pens for you to draw with.

•After he took care of you a bit more, he slowly started figuring things out.

•He wasn't the best caregiver, but he sure did try his best.

•He really loves you. He loves being around you, and feels safe when he's with you. You gave him hope to life, and helped him realize that he really is loved, and maybe shouldn't give up.

•He takes you on little adventures around the city. He shows you around, teaches you cool things, and always tries to stay positive around you.

•He keeps his suicidal thoughts to himself, and keeps most of his work away from you when you're regressed. (And in general. He doesn't want you to worry.)

•He eventually opens up to you, and becomes quite the silly and loving caregiver. He always brags about how cute and amazing you are, of how lucky his is to have you.

•Ranpo seems to like you too, but Dazai always tells him to stay away from you, and how you're his little cutie.

•Super overprotective, and would do anything for you.

•He normally doesn't call you by nicknames, but sometimes he'll call you "Cutie", "Little One", or "Dear".

•He doesn't buy you things very often, but when he does, it's normally stuffed animals, snacks or toys.

So kudos to the anon who expanded on Chuuya seeing Dazai in his playpen, it has me thinking thoughts about how sweet that was and I’d like to expand further.

Eventually when Chuuya and Kunikida build some trust and Chuuya gets past the feeling of not being needed (he’s SO needed), Chuuya stops by more often to visit his baby during his scheduled little time that Kunikida has in place. 🥹 (and Chuuyas impressed bc the mackerel actually getting the appropriate amount of drop time? He’d never expect that lmao) And ofc that leads to Kunikida calling him when Dazai gets a little too rowdy or sad, or when things are extra busy. And THAT leads to soukoku growing closer again enough that Dazai willingly goes to Chuuyas to hang out (even when he’s not little) etc

WAIT and maybe like in a setting after dead apple - it was sooooo stressful for babyzai that he drops later on and Chuuya’s like should I call Kunikida bc he has to report to Mori right? But dazai feels so sad bc especially after a mission he doesn’t want to be separated so they compromise. Kunikida looks after babyzai for a while until he can turn in his report and get a quick nap, then he collects the baby from Kunikida (who’s grateful, but doesn’t want to say it in front of babyzai bc he’s also looking after Ranpo and two littles is a lot sometimes.)

So Chuuya, who’s still pretty tired, brings the baby home to the perfect nest of blankets and fishie and cuddles. Taking care of Dazai is helpful for his own relaxation too sometimes and the emotional toll of corruption is best supported by babyzai time. I’m just a big fan of Chuuya and Kunikida being co-caregivers bc Dazai deserves the love and care. (Bonus points if skk have budding feelings for each other - separate from the classification ofc!!)

Odasaku would often try to give Dazai a schedule for naptimes, meals and such but would usually cave in and let Dazai do as she pleases

Dazai begs Odasaku to do her hair, Odasaku complies but isn’t very good at it so it usually ends up being a mess but Dazai’s suuuper happy with it (Hair brushing is fun for Dazai too but not when it pulls at her hair)

Odasaku lets Dazai get away with almost anything

When it comes to Dazai’s regression, Odasaku never questions it and just lets Dazai cope

Dazai regresses to around ages 1-3 or 7-9 at different times

Odasaku never lets Dazai out of her sight, always keeping an eye on her for a multitude of reasons

Despite never showing her emotions, Odasaku finds it nice that Dazai trusts her so much and she enjoys interacting with little Dazai a lot

During points where Dazai might be in a bad mental state, sometimes Odasaku will use positive triggers to try put Dazai into little space to avoid anything bad happening

Odasaku is very much a ‘sit there and watch the little run around until she gets tired or does something stupid’ caregiver

Dazai gets hyper around Odasaku in little space, despite usually being a shy little — She drags Odasaku around to do different activities but if they get separated she might sometimes cry

Dazai insists on ‘I can do it myself’ but really she loves when Odasaku does things for her

Dazai finds it funny when Odasaku guesses her mental age wrong and accidentally treats her as the wrong age

When in little space, if she’s not already wearing it or if she took it off, Dazai gets Odasaku to do her tie up for her

Sometimes Dazai tries to act big whilst she’s little but Odasaku sees right through it

I thought it would be fitting since Byakko is implied to be reincarnating????? Also the Netflix preview got me excited.

AU Premise

**None of the canon characters from ATLA or LOK are gonna be referenced UNLESS it’s to justify bending rules.**

Republic City exists, but it’s less western base, bc I didn’t like that lmfaooo (Basically Yokohama but as it was in the 1930-50s). White people???? Huh?? Ig they exist now??? 😨

Lore Plot:

Red Lotus killed the last avatar because they wanted to find the new one, for some enlightenment reasons (IDK radicals man). The hunt for the new one wanted to take and raise the new avatar to push their own agenda. The man that did it, passed down his legacy to Fyodor (water), and he was the one to find Atsushi. Atsushi was around 5-8 and was from the northern water tribe. Atsushi’s parent was the moon’s spirits guardians (funny ha ha bc his’s design in literally Yin and Yang to Aku). Fyodor takes Atsushi, and isolates him with the other spiritual believers. They raise him, misinforming him greatly over what being the avatar actually means. Though he has a pretty good connection to his bending, Fyodor being his water bending master. They located somewhere in the north-pole.

In this time, everyone is looking for the avatar, but in like that way where you are like “here kitty kitty pspspsp.” And they even have a bounty for him. Bring him back alive ofc! In this, Dazai (Air) and Yosano (Water) are adopted siblings from a young age from Mori (Fire). Dazai at 18 splits off and becomes a traveling nomad, bc he fucking felt like it. Yosano was 14 when Fukuzawa (Air) saved her. Mori would make Yosano blood-bend, and so when she got free, she swore to never blood-bend again. She now uses her bending, and became one of the best healers.

The Armed Detective Agency works similar to canon in this, but has a specialized duty to find the avatar and turn them over to the white lotus. It’s extremely hard to get into the ADA, and forces benders to really push themselves. (In a way higher than the police force) Dazai joins, and is basically the ADA’s lost cat that goes away and comes back with something either helpful or cursed.

Dazai got leads on Fyodor bc Atsushi accidently used the avatar state when he found some new (and/or) prob figured out what happened to his family. Dazai basically yoinks Atsushi from the isolated village, running back on all fours with the weretiger dangling from his mouth /j. Dazai shows up, drops the avatar off, then bounces. Even though Fyodor’s spiritual training and water-bending was severely indepth, Atsushi lacked alot of common sense. Atsushi’s abuse in this is more intense psychological punishment more then the physical one in canon. He’s.. alittle messed up, but besides the point. Regardless how much bad stuff he went through, he was genuinely sweet. The stress of the truth tho, threw him off balance, so he is hesitant to go into the avatar state.

Atsushi’s bending teachers / relationship

Water: Fyodor. Strictly mentor and caregiver. He sucked at caring for Atsushi’s needs, and only was interested in talking when Atsushi asked about spirtual connection and Philosophical debates. Spent most of his childhood till Dazai yoinks him at 18

Earth: Kunikida. He sucked at it originally, but Atsushi was so determine, he ends up asking for help to connect. Atsushi warms up to him, looking up to him for strength.

Air: Dazai. The third one, and he’s stressed. Dazai runs circles around Atsushi, causing so much mental strain. Atsushi gets frustrated, and nearly gave up, but Dazai manages to get a mutual understanding.

Fire: Kyouka. Though younger, Kyouka was the fastest firebender. She constantly beat Atsushi when the Port Mafia sent her out. (He gets saved by the ADA a lot lol)

Character Mentions

Ranpo: A none bender. Works with the Republic City police force, but spends most of his time with the ADA. He actively helps them get around the police.

Akutugawa: Earth Bender. He can bend metal, and is actually really scary (..er?)

Chuuya: I go back and forth between earth and fire. And I think earth bc of his boom boom, smash kapow moments in canon. I thought fire cause hehe red.

Nikolai: Air. He’s that one guy that does flips and is nearly impossible to get a hold off. Boys a slinky. He’s Fyodor’s right hand man… they even… KISS?

Notes: I ACCIDENTLY POSTED THIS WHEN I HADN'T FINISHED IT YET :( anyway, I don't understand bsd characterization yet.. So if Dazai seems reallyy ooc I'm sorry :[ This is centered around reader or you~ But if you want him for actual characters feel free to send an ask and request :D

- Dazai is a very excited caregiver, he likes taking care of you and he isn't afraid to show it! He's very affectionate- Hand holding, kissing your forehead, holding you close. Lots of hugs!! And I mean lots.

- But Dazai is also secretly, very overprotective. He keeps you safe in ways you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely, but you are much too small for that !! So let Dazai cuddle you instead of walking near that alleyway- "Oh- Nope! No going over there~ It's cuddle time!!"

- Speaking of him being secretly overprotective, he's so silly that you won't notice him glaring at anybody who comes a bit too close for his liking!! If he even hears of port mafia members walking near the place you two are headed (because he obviously can sense Chuuya coming a mile away) he will switch walking routes instead of doing his thing where he purposefully walks down that road.

- He will probably baby you even when you're big, which means it's impossible to ignore your regression with him.. And you better not try. You're too busy? Not anymore!! You wanna focus on a project? Uh.. Nope!~ You can't regress? That's alright! Just let him wrap you in a blanket, give you a paci and watch your favorite cartoons together.

- Dazai uses you as an excuse alot to get out of doing paperwork- Kunikida is yelling at him and Dazai is just pouting, "My baby needs me! I can't stay here when my precious baby needs help-" and the thing you need help with is changing your cartoons, somehow it takes three hours before Dazai comes back to do paperwork.. But oh! Atsushi finished it already sooo-

- Dazai coos at you. Constantly. 24/7. You will literally breathe and Dazai is dying from how adorable you are, People know to avoid the room where you can hear the high pitched- "Awh you are such a cutie!!!- oh you need help? Ofcourse- AWHHH~~~"

- In the agency, no one cares you regress. However.. Kunikida IS TIRED OF DAZAI AVOIDING HIS PAPERWORK. So after a bit, they build you a little area near Dazai's desk where you can play.. Now he can't LEAVE. BECAUSE YOU ARE HERE- *Ahem.* anyway.

- But!. If you don't want others to know you age regress, or more specifically the agency- Then Dazai will keep it a secret! He's good at excuses, and very good at knowing when you are regressed or slightly drifting near your headspace. So if you guys are in a important meeting but you're starting to regress, Dazai literally does not care. Man will just pick you up and go "Okay cool, we are gonna leave now :D" just up and leaves with you in his arms.

- Dazai doesn't seem like much of a cook, and he isn't, but he can make the basics. You know those mom's who cut their children's lunch into shapes? Dazai does that. If you are older when regressed, he will make your food into funny shapes and HE LOVES IT. You caused him to start following millions of mom's just so he can keep getting new shapes and ideas.

- Dazai is SO into doing funny voices when you two play together, just hand him a stuffie you want him to play and he's already going into a voice and acting out things.. No matter how dramatic. And no, he isn't embarrassed about getting caught. He'll just drag whoever caught you two into it, so congrats! You'll have another playing buddy!

- If you prefer coloring, he's happy to color right with you! He started using the agency's printer to print out coloring sheets for you, (It also gets on Kunikida's nerves, I mean he loves you too! Thinks you are adorable, but seriously- please Dazai the printer is for agency matters-) and will happily buy you whatever materials you need.. Including finger paint. He's so supportive when you're messy. "All the great artists have caused messes!!" He reassures you.

- But if you are a smaller regressor, or maybe a more calm/sleepy one, he's good at being just quiet enough but still excited enough. If you are tired, he'll carry you. It's comforting to have you rest your head against his chest while he walks around, it's nice to know you are close.

- It's even cuter if when tired, you talk or do sleepy babbles because Dazai literally just nods quietly and goes "Mhmm... Oh really? Wow!" He's trying to stay as quiet as he can, but internally he's cooing :( look at his sweet baby, so sleepy.

- Dazai loves being called 'Dada', I mean, he loves whatever his baby will call him but dada makes him feel all warm inside because yes!!! He is your dada!! It makes him feel even more happy about being able to take care of you.

- Calls you 'His little star' or the most common 'his baby', Usually adds 'his' instead of just baby. A bit possessive, but he adores you too much for someone else to take care of you. "My little star, how about we cuddle and go to sleep together hm? Dada is so tiredd~"

Itty bitty little guy! His small age is usually between 0-2, sometimes a bit older.

He doesn't really have a main caregiver, as everyone in the detective agency is willing to help look after him when he's small, it just depends on who's available.

Kyouka and Kenji are his big siblings, while the others are his babysitters!

(Sometimes he'll latch on to someone and follow them around, regardless of if they're busy with something else.)

Luckily he's a fairly quiet baby, and just doesn't want to be alone; he's happy to watch cartoons or play on his own, as long as he's near someone he trusts.

Atsushi gets nervous when he can't see someone else nearby, and feeling alone is one of the few things that can really upset him.

He has a white tiger plushie that he carries around everywhere and refuses to let go of.

(It was actually supposed to be kind of a joke from Dazai but Atsushi ended up getting very attached to it.)

He's the type of kiddo who really wants to help out; at this point, everyone knows they have to keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't try to do something that could be dangerous.

(Kunikida will give him fake paperwork to scribble on; this is one of Atsushi's favorite ways to be helpful.)

He really looks up to the other members of the detective agency, and thinks they are so cool; he'll babble about his babysitters and sibbies all day if you let him.

Atsushi really likes to chew on things to self-soothe, and the others usually carry a teether on them in case he starts feeling anxious and needs help feeling grounded.

(He has accidentally destroyed many teethers by unintentionally using his fangs, but that's okay because his friends are always happy to buy him more! )

doppo kunikida is known for being a man of many words, so when it comes to pet names he works with those in his care to find one that’s suitable for him as the carer and the regressor- he makes it fun by making a game out of it, perhaps making a chart of possible names and giving the regressor stickers to express which ones they like/don’t… of course in the hands of certain small ones the stickers go everywhere but the sticker sheet… but in the end all parties involved have given lots of giggles and lots of thought to the terms of endearment they have chosen!

BSD college!AU headcanons pt.5

Despite everything, they all obviously aren't as mentally fucked as in the canon universe in this.

But like nobody knows. They don't keep it a secret though

Nikolai actually cries or at least tears up a lot. He just tries to hide it most of the time since back in the orphanage from which he fled as a child, crying was seen as showing weakness and it usually ended up with the caregivers screaming at him so by now he tries to act all goofy and cheerful when he feels the lump in his throat again and when he feels that his eyes start to burn again.

He still starts to cry/tear up often and easily

The shower drain in the shower of Fyodor's, Nikolai's, Sigma's and Shibusawa's dorm is regualry clogged with long white hair

Sigma actually fishes his hair out of the drain after he showered/washed his hair but especially Shibusawa doesn't do so

Shibusawa is usually so chaught up in his thoughts that he forgets to fish his hair out of the drain or he is simply too lazy to do so.

He also finds getting the hair out of the drain disgusting so he simply doesn't does it which is a problem since he has the longest and thickest hair out of them.

Nikolai genuienly just forgets to fish the hairs out. He is like four steps further in his mind already after leaving the shower and is working on autopilot then.

Shibusawa generally blocks the bathroom for up to an hours since this man has a like 15 step long selfcare routine (skincare, taking care of his hair, make up, washing himself in general, styling his hair,etc.)

Fyodor, Sigma and Nikolai love thier boyfriend dearly but this sometimes drives them insane. Especially when they have a thight schedule.

Dazai often hang around at Nikolai's, Fyodor's, Sigma's and Shibusawa's dorm, lying on thier bed and chatting with Fyodor while the latter is sitting on his desk, working on his PC.

Chuuya gets at least three calls a week by his older brother Verlaine in which the latter is checking in on how Chuuya is doing and asks if everything is alright or if he has to come over to kick some asses

Chuuya thinks it's a tad annoying. Especially since he's 22 by now and not a child anymore and also since he can kick asses himself perfectly fine

Kunikida thinks it's cute/nice that Verlaine cares so much about his younger brother

Arthur Rimbaud is more chill about the whole topic. He chats with Chuuya regulary but not really to check in how he's doing but more in order to gossip with Chuuya

It's not like he wouldn't care about Chuuya, he kinda raised him too after all and knows him since he's 6 years old, but he trusts Chuuya enough to tell him if something is seriously wrong and he also thinks that he himself is able to tell if something is wrong.

Arthur is more of a chill and funny "parent" in a strange way. He's calm but he can be so damn sarcastic and is able to roast people in ways were they struggle to find a come back

He's calm yet chaotic and chill about a lot of things and Chuuya loves it

He's also more open minded when it comes to Chuuya's relationships and gives his parters a chance while Verlaine wants to strangle Dazai since the day he first met the other

Bram owns a grey nightgown with small little, realistic looking bats printed on it and he loves it

Fitzgerald is the funny, chill yet weird buisness management professor

Sigma can't decide if he likes him or if he finds him annoying/if he makes him uncomfortable

Fitzgerald made a joke about Sigma's name at least once

Fyodor sometimes dances with one of his boyfriends in thier dorm

One time he danced with Sigma to one of the latters favorite songs when Sigma had a bad day

One time, Fyodor took the lead while Sigma leaned his head against Fyodor's shoulder, closing his eyes and letting himself feel safe and comforted

Dazai just randomly bursting into Fyodor's dorm at the most random times is a thing (Dazai has key to thier dorm for whatever reason just like Fyodor has a key to Dazai's and Chuuya's)

If Bram has a horrible pain day, he stays at his dorm, lying in his bed, not going out or to any lectures and tries to survive the day somehow

Lovecraft also always comes over then

He is at Bram's dorm most of the time anyways

He will bring Bram some books, makes him tea and keeps him company

He knows that there isn't much to make his partner feel better/ to ease the pain but he's still there for him

Often Bram just tries to sleep it off, just like he does with everything else which plagues/bothers him and even theny, Lovecraft will stay by his side, often falling asleep too but still being avilable whenever Bram should need something

Sometimes Bram starts to cry silently out of frustration and pain and while he hopes that Lovecraft won't notice it, the other will always notice it

He then asks if there is anything he can do and if there isn't anything he will simply ask Bram if it would be okay if he lies down next to him, holding him

If Bram gives the okay, he will lie down next to the other, hugging him carefully, not touching his legs and pelvic bone at all, not wanting to cause any more pain and lets Bram cry silently

They don't need any words then. Lovecraft being there is enough then.

Often Bram ends up dozing off when the pain gets a bit lesser and since he is exhaused from crying and usually Lovecraft dozes off right after making sure that Bram is asleep and as well as he can be in such a situation

Each and every time Jouno and Tecchou are in the cafeteria together, there will be a huge discussion about Tecchous food combinations

It's kind of entertaining to watch

Mushitarou has heart palpitations which come from him being stress 90% of the time and from his OCD and they get worse whenever he has a lot of stress again

When Chuuya gets very emotional, angry or irritated, his french accent gets audible and can get pretty thick

Dazai thinks it's adorable

Chuuya dropping french curse words here and there is a thing

Ranpo and Jouno often wear noise canceling headphones in the cafeteria if it's super crowded

All of them are either majoring or minoring in litrature so they often suffer together when they have short deadlines or ask each other what they've wrote for a creative writing assignment

Poe and Chuuya check each others poems

They surprisingly get along super well

Chuuya and Ranpo don't really get along though

Sigma sometimes bakes way too much cookies and brings some cookies to other dorms

Poe can be quiet sarcastic when he's in surroundings where he feels safe

Poe basically trained Karl to also function as a service animal so now he's not only a friend, pet and collegue to him but also a big help when he's getting a panic attack again

Karl will start to nudge Poe and pull on his clothes when the latter is too chaught up, spiraling in his thoughts to notice that he's starting to have a panic attack again

As soon as he is aware of what's happening, Karl will go and search for Ranpo or Mushitaro (or both) and will drag on thier clothes, nudge them and will even bite them in thier ankles if necessary (Poe didn't thought him this. He started doing this himself. Poe scolded him once for it but he keeps doing it when they aren't realizing what's going on or if they won't pay attention which happens rarley thaught.) He then shows them where Poe is.

As soon as they are taking care of his owner, he will bring Poe a bottle of water and some sweets and will proceed to cuddle and lick his cheeks or hands then.

Sometimes he also lies down on his lap as if he's trying to calm down and comfort Poe

If they are in public, he will also get super defensive and tries to keep people who aren't Ranpo or Mushitaro away from Poe

After Mushitaro joined thier relationship and after Karl started to accept having to share Poe with yet another person, he surprisingly started to act them same way when Mushitaro was getting a panic attack or was close to breaking down again

Atsushi spends a lot of his free time at the cafe down the street where his best friend Lucy is working

He spends hours chatting with her, lets her rant about rude cutomers and helps her out sometimes

Louisa is also often in the cafe, visiting her girlfriend

Lucy will always make herself some free time for them

She will always ask Louisa how she's doing, how college is and if anyone dared to bother her

She can and will waltz into the college and she will absolutly destory any person who dared to make Louisa feel bad

She also always praises her girlfriend, makes her her favorite drinks, gives her her favorite pastries and also tries to stop her from overworking herself once again

She is a bit lesser soft to Atsushi (or to any other person who isn't Louisa) but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't care about the other

If she knows that Atsushi will visit her at the cafe again, they will have "coincidentally" his favorite pastry in store and if he forgot his money at his dorm, she will give him the meal on the house "but just this once!"

It will always be "on the house" then

If Atsushi is struggling with college stress, she will roast him for choosing to go to college instead of starting to work like her but she will then offer him support in her very own ways

In general, she supports the most of them during exam season and cares about Atsushi's and Louisa's friend group greatly

She is also the reason why Atsushi, Dazai, Kunikida, Chuuya,Fyodor,Nikolai, Bram, Lovecraft, Steinbeck, Louisa, Higuchi, Gin, Akutagawa, Sigma, Shibusawa, Ranpo, Poe, Mushitaro and Yosano are allowed to make thier study sessions on fridays and why they are allowed to stay there, even after the shops closing hous, especially during exam phases

Atsushi sometimes brings Akutagawa or Akutagawa and Gin with him to the cafe

Lucy doesn't really like Akutagawa a lot but as long as Atsushi is happy she doesn't mind

Atsushi loves watching series for kids when he's stressed

Dazai sometimes doesn't trust himself while showering at all, especially not when his mental health is worse again, so he sometimes manages to ask Chuuya or Kunikida if they could sit in the bathroom while he's showering so that they can jump in if he tries or does anything funny

Of course they will never deny the request and join him in the bathroom, not looking or judging him

Usually Chuuya sits on the floor with his back against the shower door, playing video games on his Ninentdo or working on his tasks for college while occasionally asking Dazai if everything is okay in there or just randomly chatting with the younger

Kunikida on the other hand often sits on a chair somewhere in the bathroom or also sits on the floor with his back against the shower door, working on his tasks or fixing some issues in his schedule

He never rests tbh

As soon as Dazai is taking way too long, the water is on for way too long, Dazai goes a bit too quiet, they don't hear any movements anymore or as soon as something feels off, even if it's just Dzaai's voice if he replies to something they said, they will get alerted, put away whatever they are doing and knock on the door, asking if everything is okay. if Dazai won't reply they will ask if it's okay if they can come in or go in.

This was only the case once though and luckily nothing dangerous happened. Dazai had started to get too chaught up in dark thoughts and was close to breaking down so Chuuya turned off the water, gently got Dazai back in the here and now, calmed him down, carefully wrapped him up in soft towles and took him out of the shower where he sat him down on the bathtub and tried him off before leading him to thier beds, brining some pyjamas and informing Kunikida about what happened

The other came to thier dorm immediatly, where Chuuya was currently lying in bed with Dazai, holding the other and caressing his back, trying to cheer him up a bit

Kunikida then lied down next to Dazai, hugging him too and asking him how he was doing

They spend the rest of the evening lying in bed, talking about lighthearted stuff and talking shit about people while cuddling thier boyfriend

Nikolai loves gossiping with Sigma while he is doing his make up

He is always super curious about what happened at the casino again

Nikolai and Sigma love playing animal crossing, just like Dazai, Ranpo and Atsushi

Dazai is basically only causing chaos on the islands of others though

Chuuya, Kunikida and Dazai play so much video games together

When Dazai found out that Bram's name was actually Abraham and that "Bram" only was short for it, he was pretty dumbfounded and acted all offended afterwards because how could Bram not tell him such a thing

Bram was basically just like "What"

He infact never told anyone besides Lovecraft. Dazai only found out because he saw Bram's student ID

Not that he wants to keep it a secret tho.

I’ve got like,,, so much brain rot since the ADA era classification fic😭😭

All I can think of is Chuuya visiting the ADA during Dazai’s nap time (not that he knew that at the time) and as soon as Dazai hears Chuuya’s voice outside the break room he begins to stir. By the time Chuuya is beginning to leave Dazai’s fully awake and starts fussing for him.

Chuuya just hears babbling from the break room and instantly knows it’s him. Without thinking he starts walking towards the break room so he can check on his baby (which he hasn’t seen in so long).

Meanwhile Kunikida is panicking a bit because he has no idea about Chuuya’s previous status as his caregiver (not that he’d trust him immediately with this knowledge m given the amount of trauma indicators babyzai is giving). He’s immediately in Hide Dazai/Damage Control Mode. He doesn’t even know if the mafia knew he was a Little, but he’s still trying to keep Chuuya from seeing Dazai because it’s such a sensitive topic for him.

Kunikida tries to herd Chuuya away from the break room, and when that doesn’t work he gives up all pretenses and stands between the door to the break room and Chuuya.

But it’s too late

Chuuya catches a glimpse of Dazai through the cracked door despite Kunikida’s best efforts, and he sees Dazai pressed up against the edge of the playpen, arms up and begging to be let out. When Dazai catches sight of Chuuya his babbling increases tenfold and all that can be understood is drawn out “Chuuuu”‘s interspersed between excited gibberish.

And all Chuuya has to say is “Is that my baby?” in a soft tone he only uses when talking to babyzai, and suddenly Dazai’s babbling has turned into excited squeals. Chuuya pushes past Kunikida (who lets him because he’s now realized that the baby knows Chuuya and wants him) and stands there for a moment, wondering if he’d be going to far if he picked Dazai up out of the playpen and held him in front of his coworker. But the longer he stands there the more agitated Dazai becomes, his hands making more and more desperate grabby motions. He wants to be picked up, and Chuuya can’t stand to make him wait much longer.

He glances back at Kunikida, and when he doesn’t make any move to stop him he bends down and picks Dazai up.

The relief in Dazai’s body language is immediate. He relaxes against Chuuya, and he quickly begins to quiet down. But as his body slowly goes limp, he begins to make quiet, almost unnoticeable whining sounds and grips Chuuya’s clothes the best he can in his clumsy fists.

And Chuuya just slowly strokes Dazai’s back saying “I know, I missed you to.” Easily soothing Dazai as if itd just been a few days since he’s seen Dazai regressed, not a few years. When Dazai begins to calm down from the near crying fit, he ducks his head down, moving so that his mouth was just above Dazai’s ear as he whispers “I’m so glad you found people you trust so much. I’ve been scared that my baby was all alone again.”

And he just stands there, holding Dazai as the little and his former caregiver basked in each other’s presence. Eventually, Chuuya remembers Kunikida and all the other ADA members outside of the break room and begins to feel as though he’d overstayed his welcome, or crossed a boundary in some way by holding Dazai for so long. But as soon as he moves towards the playpen Dazai lets out a distressed wail and grips Chuuya as hard as his uncooperative hands will let him.

As Dazai refuses to let Chuuya go, he sits down in a chair in the break room. Kunikida stays, refusing to leave Dazai with a mafia member no matter how comfortable he seems. They mostly sit in silence, interrupted by the rare satisfied baby noise or an occasional question from Kunikida.

Chuuya refuses to tell Kunikida anything personal about Dazai, not that he pushes, but he does give Kunikida as many tips as possible for handling Dazai (both when he’s little and when he’s big). He tells him how he used to calm Dazai down when he had a fit, and how he prefers his milk sweetened with honey before a nap.

And the whole time, Dazai sits there oblivious as he waivers between the lands of the conscious and the unconscious. Eventually, when Dazai has fallen into a deep sleep, Chuuya is able to put Dazai back in his pen without resistance. As he ensures that Dazai is in a comfortable position, covered by his blanket and surrounded by toys he mentions that he needs to go back to his office soon.

He notices when Kunikida pauses right beside him (when did they get so close?) and waits as Kunikida searches for words.

“Are you sure you should leave right now? He may be upset when he wakes up and sees you’ve gone without saying goodbye.”

Chuuya busies himself, moving the toys closer to Dazai as he thinks of an answer. “Yes, I’m sure.” He takes a long look at Dazai, sleeping soundly in the pen as the two lean over him. He’s happy here. Surrounded by people who had easily embraced his insecurities and built him a place in his new life. He trusted them, and felt safe enough to regress around them regularly. A quiet yet overwhelming part of him tells himself that he isn’t needed anymore.

He moves to adjust Dazai’s blanket one more time, taking one last look at Dazai, chuckling as he sees Dazai’s soft smile in his sleep.

“Yeah, I think it’s best I leave now.”

And then he’s gone.
