Hello! We are the Soul Seekers! This is an RP/art-and-media blog of our horror D&D campaign. We're here to share our adventures and shenanigans, our art, and answer questions in-character!

Soul Seekers takes place in a homebrew world (created by our lovely DM) called Zarenna, and is primarily based in the Callilan Empire in the country of Cammola. It follows the story of a cult hell-bent on domination and the schemes of a vampire interested in one of the party.

(Info: Roasted Cethin mushrooms are purple-ish blue mushrooms with yellow insides that grow in dark foliated places or through magic. Its taste is similar to a blackberry and roasted beef when cooked properly. It cannot be eaten raw as it will induce exhaustion.)

Putting this out into the universe as it’s been scratching and clawing at the insides of my head begging to be released. I also want other peoples thoughts. But It’s kinda a MAJOR SPOILER for my sso story so if your one of the like… 2 or 3 people who follow my story on Instagram and don’t want main plot spoilers? Don’t read on! I post from my phone so idk how to put spoiler ‘continue reading stuff’ 😅

But yeah! Aight SO! Mr Sands. Our legend. In my story? He’s actually THE SandMan (or well ONE of the keepers of dreams and nightmares).

(My story is based off mainly European folklore with some other folklore from around the world sprinkled in too! So yeah. Context I guess for the creative choices I’m making! Although idk if people thought of this before?)

But anyway, he BECOMES the Boogeyman. How you ask? (Or didn’t ask but I’m telling you anyway) Well it’s actually a beautiful tale of love.

The sandman is a being of endless time and has been around for a WHILE. But he is kinda a loner and shunned by his fellow entities for being more enamoured with nightmares than dreams. Waaaaay back in time, he met a goddess of smoke and shadows, named Cethin. (Cethin is - SPOILERS - the lost twin sister to Aideen and a whole other huge plot point lol).

But ANYWAY - back to our MANS.

Sands fell so hard for Cethin, like homeboy was SIMPING. He had always struggled with connecting with people, humans and gods alike, as he was seen as “dark” and treated like an outcast. But he was so enamoured by the beautiful goddess of darkness and ended up shooting his shot, courting her for years. They had time after all. She played coy but secretly was falling for him too. They bonded over mutual experiences and ideals. They shared so much: kisses, quiet moments, burdens of mistakes, as well as an understanding of eternity.

Mr Sands grew so attached, he often wanted nothing more but to shirk his responsibilities and the weight of time, just to crack open Cethin’ very being; to live within the safety and warmth of her chest, curled around her heart forever.

And being the powerful bad bitch entity she was, who also loved Mr Sands like no other before him, Cethin granted him that wish. A gift to bind them together for always. She was a goddess of shadows, so granted her lover the ability to live WITHIN shadows as a way of keeping them close.

But it kinda ended up giving him more of a negative representation, especially in the eyes of humans who deemed him - you guessed it - The Boogeyman!

Anyway yeah! There we go. A little cheeky backstory to my version of Mr Sands. A lot happens after this to make him the man we see in current day and age. Cethin vanishes (ooo more spoilers there). He goes kinda batshit insane at this loss and makes lots of… questionable choices. He has to spend hundreds of years without her, and chooses to live amongst mortals for a while looking to find her as he believes she is somewhere on the mortal plane. He even marries different humans through the years, trying to rekindle some connection or just blend in, but never really finds love again as his heart belongs to only one.

Annnnd yeah. That’s his motivation. He needs power and needs to find his babygirl but has spent SO many years looking and grieving it’s kinda twisted his mind.

i skimmed your toyhouse because it's very late and im sleepy, but i saw multiple bunny rabbits. please tell me about all of them.

this was a simpler story i was working with about magic bunny people living on the moon, based on a dream i had that was nothing like that but that's what i turned it into!!

the main guys are amets (green) and cethin (grey), amets is the youngest of five (other four on their left being their older siblings) who is coddled and babied by them even when they're over 18, which they hate, so they move out and try to separate themselves and stand on their own. meanwhile, cethin is out on their own too, though a lot less willingly thanks to an unstable home life, and the two of them bump into each other a few times and get a little smitten with each other...

amets is sweet and thoughtful, but they also have the mood stability of a metronome, so they can get pretty grumpy and mean without much effort. cethin is quiet and reserved, usually very defensive for their own sake but actually very soft on the inside. they support each other in ways they wish they'd been supported and respected in the past.

amets' older siblings are all kind too but just need to learn to back off as well. aster (light blue) is the oldest, and the most parental of the group having had to raise their younger siblings in place of their parents. candra (dark blue) and nyx (purple) are the next oldest and are twins, and they spend more time bugging each other than the others and generally kind of making a racket, you could argue they're the ones who are more childish than the baby of their family. selene (pink) is the second youngest and she's kind and gentle as well, but just sort of goes along with others most of the time. they all love each other, they just need to remember that the baby isn't always gonna be the baby.

Powys terriers ran amok and killed sheep on three farms

AN 80-year-old man has surrendered five of his dogs after his terriers ran amok and killed and injured sheep on three different farms in rural Radnorshire.

Ronald William Robinson, from Pantydwr, near Rhayader, admitted three counts of being the owner of a dog worrying livestock when he appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court this week.

The incidents took place on February 9 this year at Alltllyd Farm, Hendrerhiw Farm and Cefn-Llech Farm.

Prosecutor Stephen Davies told magistrates on Wednesday, November 9, that the attacks happened at around 4pm.

He said: “Steven Hughes and Norman Williams were dredging and injecting sheep at Elwyn Price’s farm.

“When they released the last batch, they heard dogs barking in a field behind farmhouse and they saw one ewe being singled out by black dog, while a second terrier type dog was running over the hill towards Ronald Robinson’s house.

“The black dog was seen grabbing hold and biting the head of one ewe, it suffered wounds to the face and jaw, while one ewe nearby was dead. They entered another field and could see the dog attacking another ewe before running off.”

Mr Davies said Mr Hughes chased one dog across three fields on a quad bike.

Another dead ewe was later found and the men visited Robinson’s Cae Cethin smallholding where 4-5 terriers were found in a cage.

“One witness saw a dog with blood on his head and said it was responsible, which is when Ronald Robinson became defensive,” said Mr Davies.

After being spoken to by police in March, Robinson agreed to surrender five of his dogs to the Dogs Trust.

“Farmer David Williams said Ronald Robinson’s dogs had killed a number of sheep over the years and escaped regularly, which always resulted in sheep being killed,” said Mr Davies.

Representing Robinson, Owain Jones said: “Dogs are his life, they keep him company in a rural part of the countryside, but he knows he needs to do better.

“He is not in good health himself, he has a poor memory and is a vulnerable adult.”

Robinson was fined £80 for each offence and must pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge. He was also ordered to pay a veterinary bill of £398.49 which had to be paid to treat and euthanise the sheep.

Happy STS! Which of your characters are good with kids? Which ones don't know what the heck to do with them?

Oh I think I wil do the Battle of Arelirid Cast!Rowan - Once accidentally kidnapped a child so you know..kids love her but she has no idea what to do. Erica - Likes kids, would love some of her own in the future but she doesn’t feel she has had a lot of experience with children. Alys - Has never really been around kids, however would 100% be just as a amazed as they are and asks the same amount of questions as they do. Rain - Is really really good with kids, he loves them and they are the sweetest things. He would love to raise a few with Alys. His childhood has always been filled with helping with the orphanages as well as all the kids in the area. Cethin - Humans are an issue anyway, he is surprised he has gotten along so well with these four idiots. He loves his dumb human children, but doesn’t care much about children in general. He really loves dragon eggs for breakfast.
