But later on D&D suddenly decided gay knights can’t fight as they had him arrested by vicious homophobes without a fight. He was even armed when they arrested him! Like they could’ve at least shown him taking a few of them out before being arrested.

It would have been fun to hear some of the conversations at the Weiss household while they were all watching the series together.

Though being 13 and watching a series with your parents that included incest, castration, and tons of swearing would seem awkward to me. But not all families are alike.

Weiss is aware that his magnum opus isn’t kid-friendly. He waited for the perfect time to watch the series with his kids and family. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “I had never watched it when it was on TV, because by the time it got onto TV, I had already seen each one 100 times, and I was good. But my kids got to an age; my son turned 13 and I figured, “Well, that’s okay. I can show them this.” I figured I would watch the show one time again in my life all the way through and that would probably be it. So I watched the whole thing with my family; my wife and my kids. It was really nice to sit back and know there was nothing you could do to change or affect anything. It was all there and you could just sit and watch the whole thing. And seeing it through their eyes was really great, I enjoyed that a lot.”

Lets Talk About: The RWBY Yang/Blake Bumblebee Kiss

Okay. Okay so hear me out right quick and try not to send me any death threats in my ask box.

Let me start off by saying that the entire scene was fucking great. I loved the concept, I loved the animation and I loved the kiss itself. The facial animations were on point and the way they got to each other by just laying it all out there to make a bridge to one another was amazing.

I loved the concept of the scene….however, I also feel like it was out of place.

My own feelings on Bumblebee have gotten complicated over the years. I like the ship yes but when it comes to canon I’ve just kind of gotten meh about it. Like I said in my last post I’m happy people are happy because it’s been a long time coming but it’s BECAUSE it’s been a long time coming that I don’t have as much excitement as I should have.

They’ve been baiting the hell out of us for a long time and dragging their feet to the point that the entire FNDM came together at one to curse out CRWBY for how they were handling the ship. Hell, a few of my friends told me one of their biggest reasons for hating the whole Yang, Blake and Robyn scene in Volume 7 was because it felt like Yang was going along with what Blake wanted because she loved her instead of using her common sense.

However, NONE of those reasons are why I feel like the kiss didn’t work for me/ should have gone in another scene or episode.

I say that because while, once again, I’m glad we got the kiss my attention is focused way more on what was happening with Jaune, Ruby and Weiss.

The entire Crossroads section they had had me sitting up with rapt attention in my bed. Not a moment there lost me because we were discovering things b=about Jaunes time in the Everafter and just as importantly getting more insight to Weiss and Ruby’s mental state.

We got a little of Weiss true feelings on how she’s processing things in the last episode with her saying that she’s “Tired of leaving things in ashes” because that’s exactly what they did to Atlas.

What they did to her HOME.

And in the end they still failed their real goal with Penny dead and Salem having two relics at her side. Another interesting point was the reflection we got from Ruby with it reflecting Summer Rose instead showing off how bad she’s started comparing herself to her ‘Hero Huntress’ of a mother.

Then we go into Jaunes time here, alone and stranded and waiting for his friends to arrive as the years pass by and instead he finds Alix. We saw his panic at the story changing at how Alix betrayed him and how he assumes he sacrificed her brother to the tree something the Cat seems to agree with because HE got tricked.

The cat himself leaving the group and the utter pain on Jaunes face is something I wished we focused more on instead of the kiss.

This whole episode should have been about that I feel because even after their out Ruby almost has the worst panic attack of the volume at seeing her weapon and BMBLB is in the background as it should be because I’m focused on her.

I’m not saying the kiss was bad or that I wished it never happened, I’m just saying that it should have been the focus of the next episode or another one entirely when we focus on just those two instead.
