This game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, is basically a DBZ mmorpg, and released in 2016. Since then they've updated the game with shitloads of DLC that adds characters and story from Dragon Ball Super. I started replaying it recently meaning Steam gives me the update news.

I didn't realise they were still making DLC for this game 8 fucking years later, so I clicked on this to reveal the most blatant fucking use of AI writing I've ever seen. The prompt above was clearly just 'Describe the video, which is a trailer for DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2'.

The rest of the post continues to use AI, as you can see below:

Those last two lines are the most telling. What human being would write 'We can see that 2024 will be an exciting year' in an advertisement piece?? It's like it's trying to describe the consumer's internal monologue or some shit. Except it's not trying anything, it's not a fucking human being!!

I know it's a very small part of the franchise, and an especially unimportant part of DBX2's marketing, but I fucking hate how this use of AI has become accepted enough to put out such a pile of slop that nobody has proofread at all. What a spit in the face to the memory of Akira Toriyama. Fuck you, Bandai Namco.

I honestly think that giving Krillin, Tien and Yamcha a personal disciple would do them great on all levels! Getting stronger, bonding, teaching each other their own concepts, it can really work! That's what I've been doing in DBX2 with my earthling characters Torrta, Ravito and Linni respectively, and yes, they're named after pasta dishes.😶

I totally agree with you. I like that you have your OCs training under them. If we got this in canon I'd love it to be these characters...

Marron

Of course I think Krillin should train his daughter. Her father is the strongest Earthling & her mother is a super powerful cyborg (who Marron probably inherited abilities and potebtial from both).

Tenshinhan's students & Yurin

This would be good for both Tien & Yamcha since Yamcha is shown & mentioned to hang out with Tien from time to time. As well as that stated in interviews by Toriyama. Yurin would be a way for Yamcha to get over his fear of women a bit more but also be a teacher for her. It could go romantic or platonic. Tien could focus on his students (as he already does in DBS) and show how he fashions his training for each individual student.

Something I'd also like to see is oldman Krillin teaching a new Kame school. For 1, its an idea Toriyama had in DBO where Krillin had a New Turtle School & Tien had a New Crane School. Plus I had a post from a yr ago (will find & post soon) about how oldman Krillin looks like Master Mutaito. So him teaching new student would almost be like Mutaito all over again.

If we were to go the GT route, I'd have old Master Krillin training Goku Jr. & Vegeta Jr. as an homage to Mutaito teaching Roshi & Crane Hermit as well as a homage to Roshi training Goku & Krillin. It would aslo resemble Whis training Goku & Vegeta.

(The Paradise Herb grants longevity, so Krillin could live a long time just as Roshi does. But that's combining Super ideas with GT's story.)

Tough question. But, well, Xenoverse 2 takes a lot after Xenoverse 1, so I'd say DBX1 is the best in terms of mission. They feel new and mix well with the story. My favourite thing about DBX2 is Conton, really -- it adds a lot more charme to the whole Time Patrol matter.
