"I know I can't save everyone...but I sure as Hell can try."

Kota is not your conventional, run of the mill "Hero."

Self destructive and a rule breaker by nature, Kota sees his body as a "tool," and will often put himself in harm's way to ensure the safety of those around him. Unable to turn a blind eye to those who are fated to die in Main Timeline events while out on Patrol, Kota will break the Laws of Time and intervene by saving these ghosts of the past, even if it only does "delay the inevitable," in the long run. He can't in good conscious, continue his job as the appointed "Hero of Conton," and ignore these past tragedies, especially when he has all this power to do something about it. It eats away at him.

But no matter how many people he saves, no matter how many times he goes back in Time and no matter what he does to atone for past transgressions, it never seems enough as the void in his heart grows day by every passing day.

He is no Hero. These are only the acts of a selfish man, filling a role.

The last two lines are what Kota thinks of himself. He really hates being called a Hero and wholeheartedly believes he's not saving these people, just out of the "goodness of his heart." He just wants the voices to stop.

This would have been uploaded days ago, if the dumb lines for the main colored Kota didn't get all jacked up B) But it is done and fixed!

Decided to use this entry to show off some of my story :D Kota is an Anti Hero and his choices are a little...questionable in my fic :)

Kota's morning routine isn't anything special. He wakes up, gets ready for the day, eats breakfast, goes on a run and then reports in for duty at the Time Patrol. Day in and day out, same old same old. And Kota was perfectly fine with that.

But ever since Fu rolled into town and the two decided to become "partners," its thrown Kota completely off his schedule. Everyday is an adventure, to his dismay. He has to always be on his toes the moment he wakes, because who knows what Fu is going to pull today.

Now running on only two hours of sleep, Fu has awoken him before his alarm, to talk about nonsensical science experiments that he wants to involve Kota in as he offers him his usual morning pick-me-up of black coffee he drinks regularly.

However....this is clearly not coffee. What in the hell is this? It smells bad and looks off.

Whatever it is, its waaay too early for food poisoning. But Fu went through all the trouble to make it especially for him, so he will be drinking the death slop anyway.

Today may just be his last day on Conton. Oh well, he had a good run. Bottoms up!

My entry for the _StarUniverse_ contest over on twitter! :) There were a lot more frames I originally drew for this, but then this would have been a two pager and the one was enough lol. I also drew this on a bigger canvas, so sorry about the size! At least the lines are nice and smooth XD

And what's in the mug? It's canned black beans in hot water and some other....things that Kota can't quite make out. His brain is still trying to wake up.
