the idea of lynn and blake divorcing appeals to me greatly because i am personally annoyed by blake as a horror protagonist but if i were to somehow implement that into a storyline... like it’s established in the beginning that they are a team, lynn is a reporter and blake is the cameraman (langemann... cameraman... divorcedman?), but i think about the exchange where lynn says the woman that was found was murdered and blake was like “we can’t say murdered, we don’t know that” and lynn, annoyed, asks, “oh, so i suppose she strangled herself to death?” like if they were to divorce i can see it because of a very gradual breakdown and incompatibility that takes shape over time... it’s not that they don’t care abut each other or anything like that but like. they’re just not meant to be married i think. and i think its implied or said that they knew each other as kids and while there are people who marry their public school sweethearts there’s always a chance of it nor working out and them growing apart etc etc. i think it would be very funny if they divorced but they agreed to still work together - up until blake goes missing or before that point, im not sure, but. i just really like the idea of lynn having to come and save her fail ex-husband from certain death and horrific horrors. mostly i’m still hung up on the fact that she could have been the sole survivor/the final girl of the video game and she would have been a far better protagonist if she had to save her fail husband but that’s just me.
