Forgive me for the radio silence for months, I'll probably go right back to just vaguely existing on this site after this post as my own personal situation is still not resolved and likely won't be for a while.

I wanted to speak up and say in the case of predstrogen as well as the campaign of targeted harassment many non-cishet people go through on this website (especially trans women) there is no excuse. Tumblr uses branding like "the queerest place on the internet" and then fails to provide an environment that even listens to the valid concerns of the same people they say they are made of. I've been here for over a decade. This website has had changes and eras, grown and shifted with the population but one thing has always remained - staff mismanagement and lack of communication.

If you want to talk about illegal shit on this site that needs the attention of the FBI, how about we start with the many many many MANY many pedophiles, doxxers, and outright scum of the earth that seemingly just get a free pass? Are their threats not vague enough? Does it not matter because they don't hurt your personal feelings?

I floundered for over a month damn near getting my blog deleted and I had NO clue as to why - turns out if you post while using a VPN the site will auto flag you as a bot and shadow ban you. Some clarity on these glitches would be stellar and actually help the people who use your site daily, but doing your due diligence as staff is impossible I guess.

I and many others only stay on Tumblr as there is no better alternative for now: just because you are the best of the worst doesn't mean you are any good in the first place. You should never feel entitled to be liked by the people you are providing a service to, the burden of likability lay with you and your work towards building a product and environment worth enjoying.
