Rook and Cloche’ First Encounter [Left -> Right]

CW: Animal Death

Oh yeah— Finally revealing Rook and Cloche history! I’ve noticed that while I do make content of RookLoche, I’ve never gone into how they initially encountered each other— so this is a peek of the Cloche main story canon!

[Context]

Time/Setting: During Chapter 3 (When MC was evicted from Ramshackle)

• (HC) There was a wild dove that greeted Rook in the school forest. Somehow, the dove never failed to miss Rook— no matter how hard he tried to conceal himself. Over many encounters, Rook grew fond of the dove, even seeing it as a distant pet at times.

• Rook’s first time encountering Cloche isn’t her normal self, but Feral!Cloche. At the time of the encounter, Cloche had just finished signing the contract from Azul to take Ramshackle as a collective, and decides to go to the forest to quell her pent up anger and resentment. This barrage of emotions makes her lose control of her humanity. The stronger Cloche’ feelings are, the less lucid/conscious she is.

• Cats hunt birds for many reason. In this case, Cloche hunted the dove out of stress, not hunger.

• Cloche isn’t aware of this specific incident, but she did kind of snap back with red stains on her nails and feathers stuck to her hair.

• (Symbolism) Of all birds, the dove was chosen because it’s often associated with peace, freedom, and faith. NRC is not peaceful; its students are bad with cooperation and there’s been two overblots so far. Cloche is nowhere near free, especially when she’s bound by a curse to live out as maid, and she doesn’t have the means to live independently in Twisted Wonderland. As for faith, Cloche has none. She’s still learning to adapt to Twisted Wonderland and figuring out how to cope with her curse.

• This is the first time Rook encounters Cloche alone. Their official meeting (when they’re introduced) is when ADeuce + Grim visits Rook to sign up for the VDC.

• (Note) I hope it’s understandable that “She” is used to refer to the dove, not Cloche.

since my internal headcanon plot for Exxie's sunhaven file is pretty much an altered version of my SaTBK au I HAD to make Ferris a file, too. Which finally made me brave enough to attempt to fandomless-ify him Ignore that he looks nothing like this in the game.

So far the BIGGEST change to Ferris specifically for this non-sonic fantasy au is that he's Fae (he hasn't clued in on this). In terms of DnD I've been thinking he'd be a Fae Elderitch knight? so far haven't done research on the class tho lmao

Hey so I'm not SUPER familiar with tumblr's opinion on warrior cats these days but uh

Years back, I started working on an extended wc fanfic and it never really went anywhere bc at the time I didn't have anyone to share it with besides my family, who were never and will never be into the series

But it's one of my longest running works and I'd really like to put it out there in the world, if anyone's interested

All the characters in it are OCs (mostly mine but a few of my sister's) and the clans and setting are also of my own creation, it just runs on the warriors framework if that makes sense

It isn't finished yet, there are 9 chapters actually written so far but I've planned/outlined 2 books/arcs with 50 chapters each, and I've also written like an album's worth of original song lyrics for the characters in it

It's been quite some time since I've actually been into wc or worked on this project but I'd like to pick it back up if this post/the first few chapters get some attention
