I think all the Spell Caster Companions should have like, a mini, petty rivalry over who is the better spell caster, but mostly just to tease each other.

It starts with Gale making an off handed remark about Clerics but when he gets targeted later during a fight and nearly goes down, Shadowheart looms over him like, “What’s wrong, Wizard? Can’t heal yourself with those spells of yours?”

Then a day or so later when the whole group is surrounded by enemies, Gale casts Fireball, taking out the enemies but leaving everyone else unharmed, then shoots a cheeky grin at Shadowheart like, “My apologies, were you going to call down some divine magic just then?”

They’re at it for a while, constantly going back and forth, then one day they’re both tired and ended up spending all their spell slots up early in the day due to some tough fights but Wyll walks up after just having gotten his back and casually is like, “Imagine not getting all your spell slots back after an hour of rest. Couldn’t be me. I guess I’ll have to do the heavy lifting today while you two stick to Cantrips :)” and is promptly added to the ‘Spell Caster v Spell Caster’ war.

And from then on it’s just like:

Gale: Ah, Wyll! Can’t cast Fireball without possibly scorching one of our dear friend’s eyebrows off in the process, eh?

Wyll: I admit I cannot, but at least I can cast Mage Armor without expending a Spell Slot and I have the best Darkvision in the camp, able to see through both magical and non-magical darkness. Can your spells do that?

Or:

Gale: Not many ranged spells, hm? Firebolt is one of your best options, and it’s a Wizard spell.

Shadowheart: You really shouldn’t pick a fight with the one person you depend on to bring you back from the dead and heal your bruises.

Or:

Shadowheart: Out of spell slots again, Wyll? I suppose it’s good you have that little Eldritch Blast Cantrip.

Wyll: You’re just jealous I can speak to Scratch and any other animal my heart desires while you can only watch.

their memory got wrecked due to backstory reasons so it's hard to say if they could still fluently use all of them just like that, but I think with the headband of intellect they can

- TONE OF VOICE >> high / average / deep 

i’m using voice 2 in the game and i’m actually happy with it

- ACCENT >> yes / no - they grew up speaking drow and in recent times used mostly undercommon so i feel it’s unavoidable that their common has accent

- DEMEANOR >> confident / shy / approachable / hostile / other 

do not perceive me, do not interact with me kind of energy, but when actually approached/approaching someone they seem fairly unfazed by having to talk with someone

- POSTURE >> slumped / straight / stiff / relaxed

their posture could be better and they always look somewhat uncomfortable

HABITS

head tilting / swaying / fidgeting / stuttering / gesturing / arm crossing / strokes chin / er, um, or other interjections / plays with hair or clothing / hands at hips / inconsistent eye contact / maintains eye contact / frequent pausing / stands close / stands at a distance

when dealing with people they don’t know they always default to arm crossing to keep their hands in one place, naturally they are quite fidgety, rub their hands or arms a lot it’s probably the first signal they are starting to be comfortable around someone when they stop hiding that

they didn't have much reason to use common before. they can communicate fine but may not know less used words or surface idioms

after getting one unfortunate disapproval from Wyll I decided they are deadpan to the point people may not realise they are joking

one of the things I found out while playing the game is that they actually can use pleasantries regardless if they actually care or not, to not be an asshole yanno, but with their monotone delivery it's up for debate if they ever come off as genuine. maybe a drow being nice catches people off guard enough to counter that effect, or maybe that makes it sound even more fake, depends on the person and situation probably

⚫️ They hum! Most commonly when they do alchemy/medicine stuff but sometimes they do it just to self-soothe. I found this nice track as an example.

⚫️ When the situation requires it, for example at the goblin camp/Moonrise, they can speak ‘with dead woman’s voice’ and change their whole demeanour back to the Lolth’s priestess they once were. Their posture becomes more confident, voice louder and more animated, they smile and act with practised courtesy which can very easily turn to condescension or cold threats. It must be a jarring shift to witness.

We're doing a one shot with our old "Law and Chaos" campaign crew from few years back, I got to update my warlock to level 10. (well, technically she was already level ten, but we levelled up in the campaign finale and I hadn't updated her spells because we dinged right before the epilogue, but everything should be up to date now!)

after i posted those outfit refs i realized i don't think i've ever posted anything indicating shinichi's tiefling nature. so, uh, surprise! he's actually a tiefling that's constantly using a disguise self spell to cover up that fact. he wasn't always that way - complicated backstory stuff. but, here's a color and marking ref i made last year for his tiefling form.
