Different anon here but I recently read that part of the manga and yeah S says openly that his plan was to be a dictator (he wanted to become kage of all the villages after killing the others, to force them into "peace" under his rule). I think his criticisms of the existing system are very true and his anger and grief are understandable, but he was always motivated by those emotions and not any solid or well thought out political ideology. His fans really just refuse to accept anything other than a black and white "he was 100% right and did nothing wrong ever, and everyone who opposed him was bad and the real villains", which takes so much nuance out of it? His moral complexity and the mistakes he made and people he hurt with his actions despite being a good person at his core is what made his storyline so interesting in my opinion.

He really is such a good character but has such an unbearable fanbase fr. Censored his name so they won't find this lol

Like i know some of them say ‘he did nothing wrong ever’ as a joke, but some of them mean it and then turn around and call Konoha fascist like…

Ok 1) learn what fascist means please. The system is broken but a fascist leader would do things like close down libraries, burn books, and kill anyone who speaks out against them.

Under Hiruzen MAYBE I could see that (i don’t know how he reacts to criticism but he hordes knowledge for himself thus becoming the ‘professor’

But Tsunade who improved the medical system?

Kakashi who burns locks to get into the library and states himself he’s willing to go down in history as ‘the worst Hokage’ and would accept any criticism cuz he’s a self loathing dumbass (affectionate)???

No. NO!!! That’s not f***ing fascism and it’s Espeshally stupid to see it said about character’s who don’t fit that label when S*suke was right there wanting to be an actual dictator (and i love it for him cuz that was an interesting story line. I didn’t want him to become a dictator but i did want him to get some actual closure damn it)

i have been accused of being a lot of things but a fashion icon is NOT one of them …… thank u wtf that’s hilarious

anyways, below the cut. hopefully you meant my most recent selfie otherwise that’s embarrassing

these shoes are actually Caterpillar brand, weirdly enough ??? they’re the Rise Sneaker (P723406). for some reason they don’t sell them on the CAT site anymore but you might still find them elsewhere if you look. seriously can’t recommend enough, they give me a solid 1” height boost, they’re insanely comfy, & they have great treads! they were on sale for like $100 when i bought them, but i’ve worn them nearly every day for the past 3 years (including throughout the winter & walking like 20-30km/day for two months while in europe lol) & they’re only just now starting to wear down on the inside of the heel, so worth the investment. i also have foot issues (bunions, overpronation) and they’ve been a lifesaver, really wanna get another pair ASAP :’-) if i were a cartoon character these would def be in my permanent outfit

the pants are Underarmour brand HeatGear no-slip waistband ankle leggings (in this colour), except i have short legs so they’re not ankle leggings on me at all tbh. very comfy tho! very squat-proof. & super bright, i even wore them to a rave last month. got ‘em for $20 at Winners last year. love the random side pocket

and uhhh the tank top is just a random shirt i thrifted 3 years ago, my shoulders got too broad after T so i cut the sleeves off. and then cropped it. because what’s the point of having a stomach tattoo if no one can see it .

anyways !! this was random but also fun !! thanks for the ask, even if i really don’t think i’m one to be giving fashion advice. i wish i were the type of person who wears cute matching sets to the gym, but yknow. they’re expensive, i do laundry like once a month, and these days i mostly go to the gym after work at like 3am when no one is around to appreciate me looking good, so uhhh . it ain’t happening. random t-shirt + pants that don’t match ftw

HAIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!! i wear them allllll the timesies espesh in winter UM i think u can kinda style them w anuthing tbh theyre like basic and simple enough to just kinda elevate any outfit :3 i definitely wear them with anything and everything!!! they can like add contrast to a more feminine outfit or exaggerate a more masculine Theyre fun little guys. i think theyd look better with darker toned outfits tho and i think i prefer them with more fitted ones Cause it makes me feel like a secret spy

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

995596 - just a few more ficlets or 1 longer fic, and I've got a Million! Hey, maybe I should try to write one with... 4404? (I'd need to ask a calculator xD) words exactly... not rly a hardship with how many drabble exercises (exact wordcounts, 100 is the most used, I also do 200, 500, longest was 10000 exactly lol) I've already done... we'll see!

Over 400k for this year alone, and over half of that is my actual writing (not translations etc), I'm so proud! Last year I only barely hit 200k and that included a lot of translating work

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Again, one could look this up in my works filtered - sorted by kudos? But all three of my incubus!jaskier witcher series are in it, part 2 of the series is highest with 1091 kudos, then a Venom halloween oneshot, and 'Belonging', a fluffy snake-crowley piece from my ineffable spouses series (yes, sth with under 1k words - 666 to be exact - is in the top 5... my poor longfics lol)

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

...I try to? But atm I have 202 unanswered (and I always click 'mark read' on replies so these are all comments on my own fic) even tho I told myself I'd not let it get past 200, and now I'm doing a tag meme instead of replying to anything so ummmm

And while atm it's still semi-manageable, if it ever gets to the point where I really can't manage to reply to everyone cause it's too much, i'd rly take that as a compliment lol :D I'd still try to reply to the longer and/or more thought through comments tho :)

*thinks* I have an MCD fic? But not only is that very much a case of ~posting a draft version that's barely in complete sentences insgead of taking the time to turn it into a real longfic~, I also just killed off the mlm couple I only semi care about and left the wlw couple with a happy/hopeful (rly don't remember) ending, so... hm idk whether that counts for angsty ending

Apart from that... I dunno, I just prefer my babies to be happy and fluffy? *.* i remember a mirror milippa in the mirrorverse one where in the end Michael is worried about lying to Philippa about her identity... there are some angsty TOG and Gomens ones but I think they end happy-ish (my memory is. Bad. but looking through my 'angst' tag I just saw a lot of h/c and 'angst with a happy ending')

Recently I've just gotten a bunch of 'you Need to continue this' and 'omg why isn't there more' or 'this shouldn't end' type comments, not hate, probably not meant maliciously, but So Annoying (maybe espesh bc I don't want to just hit delete on these, but I also don't want to pretend it's fine, but I also don't have the energy for a fight, and trying to explain why that behaviour is entitled and annoying and that I write what I want to write and nice comments should praise what I actually have written, and hoping that they understand and don't get mad is... hard.)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Mostly femslash lately, but I did also write other smut in the past

Most is a bit dominant/submissive play, but I do also like good fluffy smut with feelings! Best in combo, really :D

Not in the sense of pretending someone else wrote it (that i know of), but posted to other sites without my permission - writing 'don't repost to other sites' etc did Not help, they even copied those tags lol, so I just let it be, choosing my battles wisely etcetc, I'd prefer for my fic not to be cross-posted by others bc then I can't edit or otherwise influence the fic anymore and don't see everyone's reactions to it, but as long as it's not someone pretending they wrote it, I only semi care, not enough to fight it tbh

PSA: I Only post fics to Ao3 (and WIPs/prompt fills to tumblr&discord at times), if you see them somewhere else that's Not Me and you'd do me a favour by checking them out on ao3 and kudosing&commenting there instead :)

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yup, one to Russian a while back, a floreleine (Gunpowder Milkshake) one to Korean just today actually, and I translated a bunch to German myself

I made a TOG fic together with @cinnamonplums, well mostly I wrote and she made the art :D

Atm Milippa is OTP bc I'm busy writing them for @discoveryfemslashfortnight (this is not a post to reblog for the fortnight), but I'm also still rly into Floreleine, Bering&Wells and Andromaquynh and Andronilynh, and I read a lot of Mirandy lately

All-time favs I'm not rly active in atm but will always be dear to me are the ineffable spouses, clintcoulson, heistwives, gosh so many more I'll stop here tho xD

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

A Heistwives Kinda Job immediately comes to mind

I also rly want to finish at least one cohesive original-ish storyline for the lverse that I already linked for the crossover question above, but I just have so much backstory (it's been over 10 years!!!) and it's... hard...

And everything else that's still WIP and untouched for more than a few months will probably have the same fate lol

Also have a few that haven't even seen the light of day at all, most recent a Mirandy ~what if Andy had been pregnant when Miranda hired her and how would it change the entire storyline~ bit - I wrote it in bulletpoints in one go as quickly as I could, I know I had the finished product in my mind, I don't remember anything now and don't feel like going through the bulletpoints painstakenly filling in the blanks

Writing one-shots quickly in one go

Forgetting everything about a fic if I leave it in a draft for a second too long

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

There are many ways to go about it, and I think they all work (depending on the fic and the length and relevance of the dialogue)

I tend to leave single sentences as is, and for longer and important sequences use cursive and 'they said in xylanguage'.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The Hobbit apparently? I remember thinking that fic was so long lol, it's 3k

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Kat/Ana from Reef Break, they have Such Shippable Chemistry, and it would totally fit Kat's player personality to bang both siblings (she's canonically friends with benefits with Ana's half-brother)... but the ship has one (1!) fic on Ao3 *cries*

TOG Andromaquynh longfic In Your Stead has had the title since last year and probably for a while to come! I loved the story idea so much I really worked with several drafts and only! worked on that fic until it was finished so I wouldn't get distracted & forget about it, and the result was wonderful.

I might try it one day. I had a bit kore confidence with this one because i have actually written Katsura once before so i had a better idea of her personality

But @kankuroplease has so many beautiful Oc’s to play with. I just don’t know if I would do them justice. Espeshally since i don’t have an Oc that i could really have around Yuuta and Hanabi to ease my way into understanding them. All my Oc’s are older than Kakashi or younger than Hannabi so it makes it a little awkward

I got lucky with Katsura because someone started pairing her with Madara, and I always had Hotaru as Madara’s friend

I've recently read a very interesting book where the bad guy finds out that he's in a book and decides to buy the book and change things to make sure that, in the end, he'll win, and the book changes with him every time he takes a different decision. Like. The book says that he should go left? He decides to go right and the words inside the book changes to match what he does differently.

Imagine Kakashi finding out that he's in a manga and somehow buying the Naruto manga, imagine him finding everything out like the truth behind Shisui's death, the Massacre, Itachi's illness. Imagine him finding out the truth about Obito, about the Akatsuki, Nagato, Konan and Yahiko. Imagine him reading about Jiraiya's death, the oncoming war, Madara's revival, Zetsu, Kaguya and all that mess.

Imagine Kakashi deciding to change things, the manga changing with him every time he takes a decision different from the 'canon'. He puts Icha Icha's cover on Naruto's manga to make sure that no one will find out, and every time that something's going to happen he already knows and avoid tragedies.

(Also, did you see that the ask section changed? It's so cool! And there's no characters limit anymore! Sorry, my app just made its update and it's super fucking cool)

For Shisui, Kakashi is horrified. He only finds out about and managed to get the book a few days before Shisui is supposed to die, so he doesn’t have much time. But he also knows Lord Third won’t do SHIT about Danzo since he didn’t do anything about him after danzo put a hit out on him. So he does the next best thing. He convinces Shikaku to follow him to where Shisui and Danzo are supposed to have their battle, and ends up interupting it with Shikaku by his side. Now Shisui and Kakashi can take on Danzo by themselves, but Shikaku is there for a very inportant reason. He’s a high ranking jonin. When he finds out about this he will make sure Danzo is taken care of and when Lord third inevitably refuses to do anything, he makes sure the hokage loses the trust of all his jonin meaning he HAS to step down (you can’t be hokage if your jonin won’t follow you)

this leads to a search for a new Hokage, landing Tsunade in the position a lot earlier than in Cannon. She’s not happy about it, but Shikaku convinces her it’s for the best and they can find a new hokage when the younger generations are older.

When it comes to Zabuza and Haku, Kakashi has been thinking about what to do for weeks. he decides he doesn’t want to kill again. He’s so done with killing people who have been used and abused by the system like him

So instead, he decides to get Zabuza on his side. As soon as Zabuza make’s himself known, Kakashi starts talking about Gato and all the bullshit that is being done behind the scenes

of course Zabuza doesn’t belive him at first and there’s still a fight, but Kakashi knows Zabuza doesn’t die here. He has another chance.

and he takes it. He keeps talking when Zabuza is trying to fight him and he keeps trying to convince Zabuza that this isn’t neccessary.

It finally clicks when Haku moves to protect zabuza from Kakashi’s chidiri. Something Kakashi knew was coming and manages to avoid this time, leaving Zabuza and Haku looking at him in bewilderment.

When Gato shows up, no one is dead and he is furious. He quickly shows his true colours and Zabuza realizes that Kakashi was telling the truth and decides to side with the leaf to take down Gato.

The attack on Konoha? Kakashi make’s sure everything is set up, ensuring that Tsunade is prepped for this battle and will have Shisui and Tenzo by her side so she’s not facing orochimaru, Hiruzen and Tobirama all on her own. Tenzo and Shisui do not leave her side for anything, and end up in Orochimaru’s trap with her. So While Tsunade take’s care of orochimaru, Tenzo faces off against hashirama (who is SO HAPPY there’s another wood style user) and Shisui faces off against Tobirama)

When it comes to Obito, Kakashi doesn’t try to push. He make’s sure to visit Rin’s grave more, knowing that it’s pointless to visit the grave of someone who’s not dead. He never knows when Obito is going to be around, but he makes sure that when he talks to Rin he mentions how he wishes he could have known how to stop her from dying, and that Obito would be ok. He’d make sure of that. It makes it pretty obviouse he knows Obito is alive (though Obito isn’t sure HOW he knows) and that he wants to help Obito come back to Konoha and be the shinobi he always wanted to be. Kakashi’s pretty supportive of Shisui being the next hokage after Tsunade, and Obito has to admit he kind of likes the sound of that. His little brother, hokage.

Kakashi also uses the book to get with Gai a LOT sooner. When it becomes clear they’re meant to end up together no matter what he thinks in his darkest, most depressed times, he just dives in. If this is one of the only things he gets to have and be happy with, he’ll snatch it up. espeshally when he reads far enough ahead to realize that Gai opens the eighth gate.

Everything after that is a shock to Kakashi. Kyuga, the fight with her, naruto and Sasuke’s powers. He doesn’t know about any of it because after reading about Gai’s death he can’t bring himself to read anymore. He can’t imagin a world without Tenzo (who’s missing and not confirmed to get back to them yet) and Gai (who at this point as far as he knows, is good as dead)
