Hey there! I'm 17f and go by any pronouns.
Trying to ease my way back into rping after loss of motivation for it which caused me to go on hiatus for a while. Which I deeply apologize to those I interacted with but never got the chance to rp with. Burn out hit me at the worst possible moment.
Anyways
Here's some info:
I'm looking to do a couple of rps.
I don't mind any pairing type whether it be m/f, m/m, nb/nb, etc.
1x1 rp
I do doubles
As for the plot, we could do it based on the canon lore or we can do more heavily oc based or just have a good mix of both canon and oc.
Things I want to rp:
Until Dawn
-Who I want you to play if you can:
Josh Washington
The Quarry
-Max, Laura, Dylan, or Travis. Mainly Travis though I think.
Or we can do a crossover of the two.
As for Until Dawn I was thinking possibly a Wendigo!Josh or Exor!Josh.
Heres an idea that's just oc based: Okay so maybe like not a full thought out idea but its just something im in the mood form. We could come up with things together if anyone is interested.
-Feeling in the mood for some murder, mystery, teenagers being stupid, and possible romance etc.
Oh yeah and supernatural elements bc I have an oc im dying to use for a rp like this.
Age range is no one below 15 and no one above 30.
As for my writing style. I vary from partner to partner. I try to mirror my partner most of the time if they require a certain style but if they don't I try to be semi-lit usually. Doesn't mean I can't go up to lit if I truly wanted to.
If you have any questions you would need answering before even considering rping with me then please ask me on discord. Any questions at all please just dm me.
My discord is ↬||♚𝖘𝖕𝖆𝖉𝖊♚||↫ #4852
If for any reason my discord doesn't work or something then contact me here on tumblr: ash-madison
Then after discussing we can switch over to discord.
I prefer being dmed but if you prefer you can just like or you can comment what your interested in rping and I'll get back to you when I can.

What do you see happening after Josh is being rescued? Does he meet everyone of his friend eventually or some of them keep their distance? I read one of your answers about them abandoning him and honestly I don't think they didn't care at all about him, but the events were so traumatic and scary that they probably had a hard time taking into consideration that small possibility of him being alive. Plus I guess it's also part of the smooth flow of the game if it makes sense, Mike doesn't go after Jess either after he sees her falling into the mines and accuses Josh of killing her without being 100% sure that she is dead and without seeing Josh around when shit happened to her. But if I were Josh maybe I would be upset knowing they didn't come for me at all. So how would a reunion go?
That’s valid! You can interpret the lack of an interest in rescuing Josh to multiple things—that they are very sure he’s dead, if you want to be as generous as possible to them. That they think he’s probably dead and are afraid of dying too more than willing to save him, that they’re (sans Chris) too mad about the prank he pulled, etc. And I can see why people would go for any number of them. I think to me it has always read like they think he is probably dead, and the whatever he has, 30%, 20% chance? Of still being alive just isn’t enough for them to feel motivated to face very likely death to go hunting for him, especially with flamethrower dude just dead doing the same. Which makes /me/ angry, because Mike went batshit after seeing Jess wounded and dragged through a window and more trying to save her, multiple characters can kill themselves trying to save the others in the finale, etc, and I just think if you /can/ save someone who is your friend—or like, you have a shot anyway—you don’t know it is too late. You should. (& true Jess can still be alive and Mike will assume she is dead, but in his defense, so do basically all blind playthroughs she looks like she falls four stories or something while already almost dead I can’t fault Mike for assuming that was a 100% death there. Boy really tried. Whereas Josh’s vanishing from the shed is much less confirmed. There is no ‘I watched him fall’ here. Just a neither he nor his dead body were still in the shed so /something/ happened). Like I do get it, that’s a terrifying situation and not helping doesn’t = not caring, but I will hold it against characters if they don’t risk themselves to save their friends and I will be unhappy with them. Loyalty is very important to me. But it is a truly terrifying situation.
But I also get why they’d be terrified to go out there. I don’t think it makes them evil to not want to risk it till they have to, it just makes me disappointed in them. I don’t think I said I think they didn’t care about him—typo if I did, because I certainly don’t think that at all! I think Chris was traumatized and felt very sure he was dead, Ashley didn’t care (she explicitly says she thinks he deserves it and tries to stop Chris from saving him the first time), Emily doesn’t care a lot one way or another and is mostly on her own trauma right now and thinking about Matt and the awful shit she saw, that Sam does care but thinks he is probably dead and is in team mom mode and cares more about trying to keep as many friends alive as possible right now than anything else and doesn’t want to lose the others, and Mike is still pissed but also feels very bad and would prefer for Josh to make it but is also more focused on group survival and not losing anyone else since he just lost someone he loves horribly (based largely on how his reaction to the safe room scenario is either to kill Emily and feel awful but do it because he very vocally and visibly doesn’t want the others to be killed and she won’t go peacefully, and he’s terrified of losing them, or to try but not be able to because he loves Emily, and instead give the gun to the others to try to save themselves with in the event she /does/ turn). And although he’s a right coward bastard for leaving Josh if Josh gets grabbed instead of killed, down in the mines, I do think he cared about Josh. He seems truly sorry to some extent when he finds him, and does /try/ to lead him out of the mines. At the point they make the decision to go for the cable car key, I don’t think they don’t care at all, except Ashley. I just think they should care more. Although I tend to give Chris a pass because he just watched a man get beheaded, has strong reason to think Josh is dead, is injured, and spends the entire rest of the game more or less in traumatized mode quiet in the corner.
But that said I can also see why people would interpret the reactions to mean they all believe he is very dead, and mean they’re going after his corpse! I can see lots of basis in-game to interpret in quite a number of ways. And be generous to the fool kids if you want to! I /super/ hold abandoning Josh in the mines wildly against Mike, but Mike is still one of my favorite characters in the whole game. I love how flawed the cast is and that you go in hating most of them and only slowly grow to care because you don’t want them dead-dead, which keeps you there long enough to see some of their good sides. *cheff’s kiss* the great ability of the horror genre. The bar to initially invest is so low, it lets you have such a multi-faceted cast.
Okay anyway, original question! What do I see happening after Josh gets rescued and exorcised.
I think he meets up with all of them again eventually. Interesting to think from Josh’s pov how he’s going to feel. I expect to some degree he does feel abandoned, and fairly, and in RoB it is very clear he is afraid to some extent of Mike and Chris after being dragged off and tied up and left in the shed, and the things they said to him. He also /definitely/ feels massively guilty and self-blaming about all of it. He’s telling himself through Hill that no one will come for him and it’s his own fault by the final chapter. And mostly he’s just afraid of Mike and in ptsd dissociating mode by the time Sam and Mike find him. So, mixed feelings on his part I expect. Lots of fear and pain and hurt at being abandoned and so universally believed capable of murder, hurt, left to die alone in the mines. Pretty damn betrayed, and that on top of the hurt from what happened to his sisters and the inherent paranoia of paranoid schizophrenia. Hurt that they just left him. Hurt they didn’t believe him. Hurt nobody came for him until it was too late. Hurt he got betrayed again. Probably pretty miserable overall. But with that, also feels really bad about going too far and hates and blames himself intensely for everything, and I expect is also kind of not just traumatized but ashamed of what happens to him, and everyone knowing about the possession and the cannibalism. Probably he wants to lock himself in a room in the corner of a big house and never come out. But also is intensely and miserably and hopelessly lonely. Probably feels all of his friendships are likely broken beyond repair.
I don’t think they are though. Chris “I’m not your bro” six seconds later “bro are you for real?” Hartley almost dies trying to save him and wouldn’t care about the possession stuff except to be worried about him. Sam is angry and harboring some resentment, but clearly reacts to Mike reporting he is gone with regret. Mike would probably feel very guilty for leaving him and be hesitant to reconnect and then defensive doing it, but I think he cares. Jess wasn’t even there for this shit so probably she does. Same for Matt maybe? Ashley and Emily are harder to guess for. I think Ashley would be incredibly angry and resentful—I mean she wants him dead in-game, but might eventually join the others if the others got over stuff? Bc she’s also kinda a joiner? Really it’s hard to say she is a very...hair-trigger character. Volatile and intensely and massively changeable. Probably the least predictable of all. That kind of person scares me deeply in real life because I have been very backstabbed by them before. >.> But anyway hard to say. Also a lot of this depends on what ending, even assuming they all live. But I usually assume that like, Mike almost shot Em, didn’t, Matt tried to save her, Sam saw the workshop, etc ending. Emily I really don’t know. She’s a very self-reliant and hard person. She didn’t have anything very specifically for or against Josh with her experience, but wasn’t that close to him before, so I think she just kinda falls wherever she falls.
I think mostly though that they’d reconnect. Definitely Chris would jump to it, and I think Sam would too—she’s a well educated, empathetic and understanding person. She’d know he needs her. And Chris is his childhood best friend and cares the whole game. I think Mike would try to go too because of guilt, and because he’s a decent guy. Probably so would after not much time those least effected by what Josh did. I think Josh would be alone while being exorcised and probably reocvering in a hospital some after, and Chris would be the first, or Chris and Sam possibly. I think he’d be afraid to see them, and it would be complicated and messy and painful for them all, but it would be okay and sort itself out and they’d find old ground quickly. And having them there would be /incredibly/ vital to helping him recover. I think eventually he’d get back on his feet, and a lot of his old friends would be around and stay in his life. I think things would get better. I’d say the OG ExorJosh comic writer I think did a good job of guessing about what a lot of it would be like. Hard, and slow, and messy. But a lot of them care for him, and I think that would matter enough to help things get okay between them again.

Together: Exor!Josh x Reader
Request:
omfg you have to do a part 2 for together *OOO*
Don’t know if you got my original one cause my phone glitched out but I wrote Exor!Josh and reader have a baby and when it’s born they find out the baby has teeth on one side like Josh did. But they love the baby anyway
Josh had gotten better. He was speaking full sentences, and he wasn’t crawling around anymore. You still heard him complain about his teeth, even though you told him they made him special every time he stared at himself in the mirror. He would bare his teeth, inspecting the sharp row of teeth that tore his cheek. You would stand behind him and wrap your arms around his waist, which became harder every time as your belly grew larger. At the last month, almost not reaching Josh as you tried to hug him. He would chuckle and turn to you, placing his hands on your pregnant belly. His nails became less sharp, but the claws were still visible. His eyes would widen as the baby kicked against the palm of his hand, smile appearing on his face.
Josh loved giving you his full attention. Every night he made sure he had enough time to spend with you. He told you he wanted to see how your belly grew within weeks, and that he wanted to take care of you when you needed him to. You would smile at him, and tell him how much you appreciated his help.
And now you were at the hospital, getting ready to deliver your baby. Your body was covered in a hospital gown, as you laid down on the comfortable bed. Your back hurt like crazy, and you had to lay down on your side. Josh was by your side, holding your hand tightly, and his eyes focused on your face. The nursed looked him up and down when you entered the hospital, eyes widening when noticing his cheek. Josh blushed and looked down, before following you into one of the rooms. He would squeeze your hand as another rush of pain attacked your body, telling you that  you were doing great, and it would be over soon.
Eventually, the nurse told you to lay on your back again, before grabbing everything she needed for your delivery. Your contractions were killing you at the moment. Your body was on fire, as the nurse got ready. Your breathing became uneven as the pain intensified. Josh held your hand confidently, whispering soothing words in your ear as another contraction made you scream out in pain. “Ready, Y/n? Let’s deliver your beautiful baby girl, okay?” The nurse spoke and you nodded with your eyes squeezed shut, tightly squeezing Josh’ hand with all the force you had. “Okay, 1…2…3… Push!”
“Here she is! A beautiful girl-“ She suddenly gasped, making you slightly move your head up. You were exhausted by the  intense delivery. It took you 8 hours, and your body felt extremely weak. You didn’t hear any crying, which scared you. As you looked at the nurse, you became worried as she stared at your baby with wide eyes. You looked at Josh who just stared at the nurse, mouth hanging slightly open. He let go of your hand, making his way towards the nurse. She wrapped your baby in a blanket, not keeping her wide eyes off her, and quickly handed her over to Josh. Josh looked at her confused, when she suddenly rushed out of the room, calling for a doctor with a panicked voice.
Josh turned his head towards your daughter, smiling brightly at his newborn. You could see tears welling up in his eyes, as he stroked the cheek of his daughter, but he suddenly tensed, turning your daughters head slightly. His eyes stared at her pretty pink head, before turning to you with tears in his eyes. His smile fell off his face, as he quickly walked over to you. He handed you your baby, carefully placing it in your arms. His worried eyes inspected your baby, as his shaking hand stroked over her head.
You looked at him, slightly scared to look at your daughter. He nodded at you, before giving you a sad smile. You looked down to your baby, as she laid with her head on your chest, enjoying the sound of your heart beat.. She was the most beautiful creature you had ever seen. Her pouty pink lips made her look adorable, as they were placed between two chubby pink cheeks.  Quiet breaths escaped her tiny little mouth. She was beyond perfect, making you turn to Josh with a confused expression. Tears were streaming down his face. You grabbed his hand, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion. He sniffed a little, as he looked down at his beautiful daughter.
“J-Josh…” He sighed deeply, looking at you with a sad expression, before carefully grabbing her little head. He lifted her head from your chest, and you gasped. A big tear was visible on her cheek, revealing a pair of sharp teeth, just like Josh’. You opened her lips a little, and noticed she didn’t have any teeth on the other side. You looked up at Josh, who just stared at your baby.
“Josh, she’s…” Even more tears escaped his eyes, and he sniffed loudly. You grabbed his hand with yours, before finishing your sentence. “She’s perfect.” He looked up at you with wide eyes, surprised by your statement. You smiled proudly at the beautiful baby on your chest, gently kissing the top of her head. “B-But… I made her this way…” Josh spoke quietly. You nodded. “That’s what makes her perfect. She’s unique.” He finally showed you a smile, showing you the same pair of teeth your daughter now had. Tears welled into your eyes, as you finally felt like a real family. Josh would be a great father, and your baby was the most beautiful, most precious, and most promising thing.
“And I love her.”

On Elven Royalty, Hair Ribbons, and the Impact of High King Smajor on Elven Culture (Emptober Day 4: Ribbon)

On Elven Royalty, Hair Ribbons, and the Impact of High King Smajor on Elven Culture
Hair ribbons are a longstanding elven tradition that has carried through multiple centuries, possibly millennia. Elves will wear hair ribbons to festivals and parties, but also to funerals and even into battle. Though seemingly impractical, the tradition is incredibly significant in elven culture, as it has persisted for generations. (Some scholars even say it began in Valinor, homeland of the elves, though there is no definitive evidence of this.)
Experts are unaware of exactly when or where the tradition of braiding ribbons through hair started, though reports of this have been traced all the way back to King Fingon the Valiant, High King of the Noldor in the First Age of Arda. Though not all elves have always observed this, there are descriptions and records of hair ribbons in some form from every era of the elves, and many different peoples. Noldor, Vanyar, Sindar, and even Silvan elves have been recorded as wearing these adornments, though wood-elves less commonly so than high-elves. In the modern day, both major elven kingdoms retain this tradition.
The ribbons themselves have been crafted from a wide variety of materials, and what is most common varies by the type of elf, their social status/wealth, and the Age they were born in. In the First Age, for example, High King Fingon was observed to wear hair ribbons which had pure gold woven into the fabric. This would be fitting for his status as king, and makes sense for Noldorin culture in that era, which was heavily focused around smithing and other forms of artistry. Noldor royalty would continue to imitate this for some time, but the practice fell out of favor with High King Smajor of Rivendell.
King Smajor was said to be an unusual elvenking in many ways, and his style reflected this. While in the early years of his kingship he wore traditional golden ribbons, in later years he is said to have worn flower crowns and roughly woven brown and green fabrics instead. This seemingly strange choice nonetheless began a trend towards less traditional materials in elven fashion that lasted for centuries afterwards. As a whole, King Smajor was vastly influential in the shift in elven culture in the early Sixth Age.
As the second prince, or ‘spare heir’, King Smajor was not expected to become the High King. However, Prince Xornoth disappeared from public view in 1240 Sixth Age, and their younger twin succeeded the throne instead. At first seen as mannish and incompetent, King Smajor was widely disliked by the elven court when he first ascended. However, as champion of Aeor and the only remaining heir to the house of Elrond Peredhel, he was the only candidate for the throne. Despite the unhappiness of many advisors, he retained the throne for many centuries to come.
Some of the most notable change accomplished during this era includes the end of the Conflict of the Great Stags, the opening of Rivendell’s borders for trade, and the first ever adopted heir of the elves. King Smajor, Champion of Aeor, made peace with Prince Xornoth, Champion of Exor, and ended what was at the time thought to be an eternal cycle of conflict. He also allied with many mortal kingdoms and rulers, including Queen Lizzie Shadowlady of the Ocean Empire, Queen Katherine of the Overgrown, Count Fwhip of the Grimlands, and most notably Codfather Jimmy Solidarity of the Cod Empire. Though the exact nature of his relationship with the Codfather remains unknown, many historians have speculated that they were lovers. The green and brown hair ribbons that King Smajor was fond of (green and brown being thematic colors of the Cod Empire), would seem to support this theory.
Though he was an unusual king, there is no doubt that King Smajor was also an incredibly influential one. Not only did elven fashion change in a direct response to his untraditional choices, the culture of the elves also began a huge shift around this time. Where before, elves had been famously isolationist and kept almost entirely to themselves, during King Smajor’s rein, their trade and interactions with other empires increased drastically. Additionally, elven royalty had long valued blood relation above all other forms, but with the adoption of the future High Queen Mirnen, this began to change.
Today, elven hair ribbons take countless forms, from rough cotton and strings of twine to fine silks and even traditional woven metal. Dyes are made from the many flowers of the Overgrown and even certain kinds of terracotta from Mezalea. Woven copper from Pixandria has become popular in recent years, and the Ocean Empire makes its contribution in tiny pieces of sea glass that are sometimes sewn onto hair ribbons and other elven clothing. Where once, Rivendell had a tradition of blue, white, and gold, there is now a whole rainbow of color, and much of that is due to the un-elven elf king: High King Smajor of Rivendell.

What is exor-Josh?
Okay, so. Spoilers for Until Dawn necessary to answer this so don’t read if you want to avoid that.
So. The 2016 playstation game Until Dawn is a decision-based story driven survival horror game with eight playable protagonists. All eight are determinate and can live or die depending on player choices. However, one of the eight, Josh Washington, the character the tragedy of the game centers around, even if he survives is never given a happy ending.
Now, that’s actually part of whay makes Until Dawn a phenomenal game imo, because it’s a deeply genre reflective piece, especially about the treatment of mental illness and demonization of it in and by horror, secondarily about the discarding and appropriation of indigenous tradition. The game leads you to believe, as all the characters do, that Josh, who is psychotic, depressed, having a breakdown, and terrorizing his friends elaborately because they are responsible for his sisters’ deaths one year ago, is also responsible for the incredibly dangerous things going on and death of one of the friends (determinate/assumed). It plays very in line with classic horror mentally ill = evil, and the characters and player tie Josh up in a shed once he’s finally stopped from what he was doing, and refuse to believe him he hasn’t hurt anyone and insist he has to the point that he, mid horrific breakdown, becomes unsure himself and has like a complete collapse and monumental hallucinations.
Right after it’s gone that far, there’s the midpoint reveal Josh was not lying, and the things up here killing people are Wendigo. (There’s fascinating history here—the Russians who first colonized the area refused to believe native tradition and beliefs and camed up with what they called ‘Wendigo psychosis’—a mental illness that made you go crazy and eat people—to try to explain stories away. So there’s like four layers of respect indigenous tradition and quit fucking doing this to mentally ill people in horror going on in just the game thesis alone. The team worked really closely with tribe members from the areas involded and there’s some really cool interveiw stuff—also, fun fact, Until Dawn is the single most accurate/respectful presentation of Wendigo in any piece of western media I am aware of. They’re often portrayed with horns and like deer people, a style I believe invented by Steven King? But that’s wildly off and just made up, and in traditional lore they look like starving elongated pale humans with no hair.)
Anyway! Sorry. I have so much love and so many thoughts on UD I get carried away. So, the midway twist suddenly puts you in the position of “Oh fuck, Josh didn’t hurt anyone, and we didn’t believe him so we hurt him and then tied him up and left him like a gift for the monsters.” and you spend a good portion of the remaining game trying to get him back before it’s too late. No matter what you try though, you cannot truly save Josh. He is either killed by a Wendigo extremely graphically, or he is left alone in the mines and possed/taken over by one of the Wendigo spirits and beginning to turn himself by the time he’s found. I like this choice as much as it hurts, because it forces the player to think. If you could save Josh, it’d be “Well it was messed up what happened to him, but it turned out okay!” And you’d get to move on. But no matter what, it is never all turning out okay for Josh, so you do not get that option. Almost the entire fandom back when the game dropped was distraught over this and Josh’s treatment, and there was a reason. It was exactly the intended one. The unsatisfying way his story ends regardless makes it so you end up unable to brush off the rest of it as okay, and it ruminates instead, and is a really, really good genre reflective on how mental illness is treated in horror specifically. I am sure some people exist who reacted different bc there’s so many period, but I have played UD /many/ times and with a bunch of people, including my baby brother at 12 and a 24 yo dude who hated Josh on sight because he’s got a really manipulative family member who uses his disorder as an excuse to ve shitty, and I have never once played UD with someone who did not after the halfway plot twist, no matter how annoyed or mad at him for his shit they were before, did not both care about and feel extremely bad for Josh and try hard to save him. The choice worked. Really fucking well.
That said, it uhhhh, fuckin sucks for Josh! And while I think the game benefited from ending how it did, I think a super hard to find secret ending where things are less awful (like of the kind maybe nobody found for a whole year even) could have done a good job of both making the thesis really sink in like a knife, and letting the poor traumatized guy get a happy ending. Because both would be ideal, you know? I know you can’t always do both, but I wish. That said, they probably made the rightest call how they left it, esp with RoB releasing so soon after. Anyway! Most of the fandom also was in mourning for Josh, and I believe it was @danji-doodle who originally popularized exorjosh and coined the term? Basically, it was a kind of fixer but fixer in line with canon AU, where in the “Josh is possesed by a Wendigo spirit” ending, be was sucessfuly exorcised/saved, and rehabilited. It was very cute and sweet. Because it centered around him being sucessfully exorcised and rehabilitated, and was specifically a Josh-fixer AU, it was called ExorJosh.
Anyway, fun fact! While in production for Until Dawn, Supermassive also made Rush of Blood, a firstperson VR shooter. The shooter is basically an incredibly fucked up first person experience of Josh having a breakdown and getting possesed, inside his head how that looks to him. The last thing you fight is the specific Wendigo that possesed and is trying to take him over (truly horrifying), but while an arcade shooter and very surreal, it does actually make ExorJosh canon. Which I was thrilled about, bc I was very sad after UD. Somehow most of the UD fandom doesn’t seem to be aware of the existence of the game, or well, don’t know what happens in it anyway. So I am very sad for them. The game’s been out since 2016/17 I can’t remember for Rush of Blood off the top of my head. :’-] But anyway, it’s a little open to interpretation because of the hallucinative nature of the experience, but considering if you kill the Wendigo (I should note, in line, albeit really extra-ly, with Algonquin legend. It is possible, though unusual, to exorcise someone possessed by a Wendigo by destroying its heart of ice, either physically with boiling medicine made for that, or spiritually in an internal battle, which is how the last boss fight goes.) —There’s also a secret ending where you wake up at the end of UD/the matching Josh scene from it, and the most hard to get trophy, where you can see the doctor for moments (though to you he looks like a corpse you see in the first game) before returning to the nightmare, is called Moment of Sanity. —If you win/kill it, you wake up with the doctor you see off and on in it and are told you’re not cured yet, but that this looks really good for you and you’re probably gonna make it now (I’m paraphrasing but that’s the gist). So it’s basiclaly confirmed and I am very happy for him bc Josh deserved to fight free and live happily again. :’-]
Anywya the TLDR is ExorJosh was a really popular Until Dawn au where Josh got the Wendigo ending but was cured/exorcised, thus ‘ExorJosh’. Popularized by a big fandom comic artist, it was the most popular AU by far, and the company more or less made it canon too actually in Rush of Blood. Good for my son: he deserved this. TuT
