logos has an infinite duration skill, a delta module, and necrosis damage, he'll compete alright

It's so fucking funny that they came up with a skillset that includes

1) An infinite duration skill that bounces on kill with an instant kill mechanic

2) RES increase to self (survivability on a core caster for some reason) + Amiya S2 style machinegun except it's actually focused on 1 target + slow

3) Attacks reduce targets RES

4) A slow on enemy projectiles which is a unique ability no one else has

5) Doubleshot mechanic

6) [Unseen on this image] A fucking delta module, on release, where he gets Necrosis damage like Ebenholz's 3rd module

HG on their hands and knees praying pleading and begging people to please god please use another Core Caster if the intern in charge of stats sees 90% Eyjafjalla usage one more time they're going to blow up the office.

Ifrit’s operator record is very sweet, and I love it building on her relationship with Eyja and Silence, but there’s one thing that’s always been very funny to me about it:

It centres around Ifrit working as the team captain while Silence is away, and she’s leading a squad with what is clearly supposed to be the Rhodes Island Teens with Eyja and Beeswax but also. Mint is there? Mint is not a teenager. She graduated from the same college Skyfire is from. She’s an accredited geologist. She’s the oldest person there.

I think the writer just forgot how old Mint is supposed to be because she looks really young but it really comes off like this:

In the Arknights visual novel sections with Eyjafjalla people are always acting concerned for her health because she is a disabled teenager with late stage cancer who just wants to do the volcanology studies that her parents never had a chance to finish. Seeing that makes me feel bad that for basically the entirety of arknights’ existence she has consistently been deployed on the most dangerous combat missions there are and told to kill every target in sight with the very volcanic arts that her parents didn’t want to be weaponized…

↬ if you ever happen to catch ENFORCER during work hours, he's fond of sparing a moment to press a little kiss to your lips before he scurries over to his next task, his signature cup of coffee in his hand and a little smile on his face that was much less noticeable a moment ago. he's sorry, he doesn't mean to make you feel neglected, he says — he just has something to finish before he can go on break.

↬ it's during his off-time that he feels like he can spend time with you in earnest. just as he has a habit of kissing you before he goes on his next mission, he also enjoys kissing you as soon as he hangs up his coat for the day. it's less rushed this way, and some days he seems just a little tired, but he's always slow and gentle as he kisses you, as if savouring the feeling of your lips against his, and he always leaves the slightest taste of coffee lingering on your lips as he pulls away.

↬ enforcer is also very fond of peppering your face with kisses, or kissing the backs of your hands or the crown of your head. it's one of his favourite ways to wind down for the day, making a cup of coffee for you both and letting you go on about your day, or telling you about his own. sometimes he might trail off, tracing circles onto your hand with his thumb, and he'll lean forward, just a little, to press a kiss to a blemish on your cheek. it wakes him up better than a sip of his void of black coffee, and is much sweeter to him, too.

↬ when LUMEN kisses you, it almost seems as if he's equal parts eager and shy. he has a tendency to ask you each time before he does, too; while it might ruin any chances of surprising you, there's something endearing in the way he asks, may i kiss you? isn't there?

↬ his kisses are always light and gentle and sweet, like an early morning breeze. he's long past the days when he seemed afraid of coming off too strong — how could he have any sort of worries around you, when you make him feel so at home? — but he can't quite help it when it makes itself known in the barest brushes of his lips against your cheek. it's just how he is, he supposes, and he has to admit that he loves the way you laugh when his breath tickles your skin.

↬ lumen loves kissing your lips, of course, but he also has a habit of kissing aaaall over your hands, over your wrist, your thumb, every scar and callus and bruise. if not that, he might massage your shoulders while pressing a kiss to the nape of your neck. little moments like this at the end of the day are what he looks forward to the most, no matter how tired or haggard the both of you look — he adores you more than he has words to tell you with, but in this, at the very least, he hopes to somehow convey it to you.

With the way that HG's enemy/boss design is trending, Ceobe stocks have been going way up. I've heard a few CN players say that she's probably more meta than GG or Eyja at this point and I can definitely see why (5k IS4 ending 4 boss, 2kish def drones in CC Pyrolysis etc.)

Not necessarily a drawing request if you don't want but I always like imagining Silence's blood pressure spiking when Ifrit tells her she made a new caster friend with super cool fire arts then doing a complete 180 when she actually meets Eyja for the first time

I won't draw it because I don't really see how I could draw it anyway, but the idea is adorable! "Oh no my daughter has found a crime partner" but then turns out Eyja is shorter than Silence and probably the most precious and adorable girl ever. Silence would actually really be friendly with Eyjafjalla... Maybe a bit motherly, even, while having really long discussions on sciences

Especially now that So Long Adele is out! Eyjafjalla went through so much, Silence would definitely care about her a lot. And Adele might even remind her of Ifrit in some ways, both have a really bad Oripathy and couldn't enjoy a normal childhood...

honestly my only take on "is arknights slowly losing the techwear aesthetic" is that it's not really losing the techwear aesthetic, it's just iterating the techwear with other aesthetics so that we don't get bored

#arknights #and there are of course operators who straight up ditch the techwear #but that's not new. mousse and gitano and specter and pramanix and eyja and shining all look more fantasy than tech #and that is part of what i find compelling about arknights' aesthetic #the fact that ebenholz can stand next to nearl and look like parts of the same world #that's why i like this game so much
