SUMMARY: As per Riddle's demands, the only dishes that have ever been allowed at Unbirthday parties are sweets. Cater resents that, and apparently, so do you.

COMMENTS: Man I just want them to cater (ba dum tssss) to more tastes during the Unbirthday parties. All they seem to have are sweets. Like yeah sweets are great and all but Cater doesn't like them so I'd like to make him spicy things so he can enjoy those parties too.

Cater sighed dramatically as he tapped away on his phone, awaiting the start of the most recent Unbirthday party. His Magicam feed was occupying him for the time being as his favorite person hung out with Trey. He blew a strand of hair away from his face, pouting as your most recent Magicam post came into view.

Baking with the VH! The caption read. His expression softened as he took in your bright smile and simple peace sign, the frame capturing an amused Trey in the background. He double tapped his screen and liked the picture, commenting a few hearts before continuing through his feed. He was kinda dreading this Unbirthday party if he was honest with himself (much like all the other parties, if he was even more honest), because he knew he’d have to bear the taste of his least favorite food for the next few hours. Oh well, if it was made by you then maybe it wouldn’t be that bad.

He eyed the entrance to the gardens as he waited for you, thumb still swiping across his phone screen. The members of Heartslabyul were slowly filing in, and even Trey had shown up before there was any sign of you. Cater’s pout only got worse as he stared at the entrance, willing you to appear.

It was another few minutes before you did, carrying a separate platter with you. Before he could yell out your name, your searching eyes had already found him, and your smile lit up like a thousand stars. Rushing over to him, you held the platter carefully in your hands before setting it down in front of him.

“I made you something special.” you hummed, sliding into the seat next to him with a smirk, “I hope you enjoy them.”

Cater forced a bright smile as he looked down at the platter of sweets before him. Well, you made them for him. They couldn’t be that bad...

The Unbirthday party began, and Cater tried to stall for a bit. He talked to you about the weather and how your classes were doing and even the new skateboard trick he’d learned, but you were insistent.

“Come on, try them! I promise you’ll like them!” you pleaded, bouncing around in your chair from excitement, “Pleaseee, I can’t wait anymore!”

“Okay hon, I’ll try them now.” Cater sighed, resigning himself to his fate as his smile stuck to his face like glue.

He picked up the fork and took a small slice of the chocolate tart you’d prepared. He brought it to his lips and closed his mouth around the fork, expecting a gross sweetness to overtake his taste buds.

His eyes shot open as he swallowed, staring down at the platter in front of him.

It was spicy.

He picked a cookie next, polishing it off with ease. Next, a miniature pie. Then, a macaroon from a small stack of three tied with a shiny red bow.

All of the food you had prepared for him was spicy.

“It’s really good!” he beamed, turning to face you, “You...remembered!”

“Of course I did!” you yelled, throwing your arms around his shoulders, “I couldn’t take it, I was so excited to make all of this for you! Did you like it?”

“I did! Liked and subscribed.” he laughed, holding you tighter.

Cater’s next Magicam post was a picture of the two of you making peace signs with the half eaten platter in the background, smiles on your faces.
