why is life so hard

#for those who dont know i'm retaking med exams #because i didnt pass them last year #and im just so... sad #because it's never easy #why do all my friends get the life i dreamed of? and i stay here #1) i dont have a job 2) i live with my parents #3) my twin sister has a fianceé and lives in another country for gods sake #can you name a bigger disappointment? my TWIN sister #rock bottom. again.#i promised i wasnt going to let my emotions play such a big part again but #i just cant #it's inhumane #i do everything i can and i'm still dumb and i can't fix this #and it's not even that hard i'm just not good enough for this #sorry i needed to vent urgently #yes it's all i've wanted and all i've dreamed of #so i'll keep trying but wow. it breaks my heart #i studied so hard. for so long. i did everything i could. it's such a hard lesson #sometimes it's not enough #sometimes it doesn't happen because I physically can't push past my intelligence #i'm simply not intelligent for this #i know i'm victimizing myself but wow i wanted it so bad #i spent days dreaming about it and nights studying #and to see friends get positions i wanted just breaks my heart #always watching never participating #yes i've learned when I was 13 i was way less intelligent than my sister but still #this was such a different path from hers and i still couldnt do it #now i have no idea what to do because it's a fortune every year to pay for these exams #and i dont know if theres anything else i could do #sofia rambles

Had a weird anxiety dream in which the zombies from the last of us were called oricorios for some reason????? And were after us? And the cast from Kung Fu Panda showed up and also Star wars characters were in it (Wrecker???) and I got a baby Yorkie puppy, in my coworkers were also in it??? One who I'm actually former?? Coworkers with??? And also my left hand got amputated????? It was weiiiirddd. And there was a hospital that was doing a bunch of research for trans folks? And a very trans/queer affirming church??? And my nana and papa had a field of plants somehow connected to trans folks that got burned down????

And we had to rescue said former coworker and another current coworker from the zombies. And somehow action figures from star wars "having chips" would help confuse/stop the zombies??? Like they were also chipped????? Like the clones????

Oh also there was a time loop and the weird web from the Loki show almost and we would be erased from time if we didn't stop it and we had to redo it once??? Idk.

Idk VERY weird dream.

After 15 months of ups and downs while in ldr. Finally with my love for our 16th 💍

He changed my perspective surrounding love. Before I met him I had unrealistic expectations. I was always setting myself up for failure because I was a perfectionist.

It isn't about saying sweet words, physical appearances, or how much money you have in your bank account. It's not about material things.

I now know that ..

Love is sending multiple chats, emoji's, and reactions when I don't want to reply. Driving me around and waiting for hours during my appointments or while running errands for my mumma. Grabbing my hand from the passenger seat. Cooking then putting food on my plate to make sure that I eat meat 🙄

Love is saying things you don't want to hear but need to know and realise (the truth hurts nga diba). It's about saying "I got you" when things get tough. It's not always 'I love you' or 'I miss you'.

It's showing appreciation and never making regrets for choosing each other.

(i was talking to my boss + coworkers about creepy couriers who come in and try to hit on the girls who work in the lab and i was like "i just have no patience for men" which is really the crux of it. i'm not really a Man Hating Lesbian™ i just could care less what men think of me or have to say to me.)

spooky from on my block got the treatment i wish billy did. at least for the bulk of season 4 before it all fell to shit.

spooky had the chance to get out of the life he led, to leave the santos.

he got to settle down and start a family despite him being a "bad guy", he genuinely did whatever he could to protect his little brother even if that meant being the one to hurt césar. because he would rather his brother be safe.

spooky started out as a character who could've easily been hated by the fandom, and he wasn't because even through his bad actions, almost everything he did was his own way of protecting his baby brother.

billy and him are more similar than i would've ever thought initially.

i can go on a full tangent and if anyone watched omb, i will absolutely go in depth about all their similarities and even the ones between max and césar.

but like at the core, they're big brothers who've been tasked with essentially raising their younger siblings. they're meant to find the tools to take care of césar and max when nobody ever showed them the ropes or supplied them with the bare minimum. they were literally making it up as they went along.

not to mention, the narrative killed both billy and spooky

can i just add that the friend group in omb literally hated spooky bc he was in a gang and was mean, but by s2 he had turned a new leaf and tried to help ruby after he was shot?? like legit new leaf. by s4, ruby was calling oscar (spooky) and spooky was calling him "mano" (short for hermano, which translates to brother)

like if they were all able to get over their shit, the party could've done the same. but the duffer brothers are absolute shit who dropped the ball in toooooo many fucking ways.
