oh yeah i made another hitbox with spare components and a LOT of filament (over half a spool).

the top 3 buttons are lil seimitsu clone buttons out of their shell. it has a little screen and its powered by gp2040-ce.

it animates while in use!

pros of learning fightstick:

- feels good to play on

cons:

- trying to learn how to mod this MCZ TE1 i have is inflicting psychic damage to me

#this shit feels like learning a new language #thankfully the te1 i own has entirely functional sanwa parts that would withstand a bomb at point blank #so that's less work there #but i need to figure out how i want to handle moving this thing from an xbox 360 to maybe a brooks ufb #and maybe change the art since that'd remove the need for the control panel #and also probably replace the usb cable compartment out bc i just learned they manufacture ones for new buttons #among other things #shit #i'm wondering if this would be more expensive than just buying a new stick #but also..... i love my sanwa shit #fighting games #arcade sticks #fightsticks #thoughts of loog

Yesterday evening, took apart my 8bitdo arcade stick and took notes as I was examining the parts and putting it back together.

This weekend I'll be rewatching some old reviews of the device from youtube creators i trust.

During this whole process I was mentally going over in my head how I would talk about it during a video.

Scope creep is a concern but for now I should worry more about having enough content to make for a video without having to spill tech specs or regurgitate other vids.

You can only rely on the gimmick of being a vtuber for so long

Imagine someone who just straight up has paws. Like instead of hands it's dog paws or cat paws or whatever. They're going over to a friend's place to play some videogames. Their friend is like, "how're you gonna play with those paws bro you ain't got thumbs" and the paw having gamer opens up their bag and pulls out a professional fightstick and completely kicks their friend's ass.

That would be cool and funny I think.
