I saw the critically panned film FOE starring Mescal and Saoirse Ronan and while I don't automatically listen to critics and definitely don't care about Rotten Tomato scores, this film is as bad as they said it was.
My foe? This film.
Director and co-writer Garth Davis was on hand for a post-screening Q&A and I could appreciate his vision, but it just is executed poorly. As panned as CARMEN was
I'd take it any day, and twice on Sunday, compared to FOE.
Paul and his emotional rugby journey this weekend.
Mescal and Ronan after a more successful Ireland rugby match.
Paul isn't the only FOE star in a campaign. Aaron Pierre is one of the celebs featured in Thom Browne's "...night at the museum" campaign alongside Janet Jackson, Will Poulter, Naomi Ackie, Katherine Waterston, Maisie Williams, Callum Turner and more.
Very unpopular opinion but I personally would only be fine with a LM movie as long as it is not the sequel. I honestly just want the bros to work together in the next movie and not be separated again.
Well, given the Yoshi tease in the post-credits scene, I don't think Luigi's Mansion will be the sequel, which is fine by me.
I am dying for the next movie to be a brotherly road trip story that shows Mario and Luigi becoming the true heroes of The Mushroom Kingdom rather than just two brave plumbers who got lucky. They work through their remaining self doubt, going from "wow, can't believe two goobers like us survived that one" to actually embracing the roles they are known for today, side by side the whole way through.
This shot is so good. At this exact moment, he’s staring at his reflection on the tokijin and says, “Useless”. They didn’t have to time it that way or have him staring at his reflection on his beaten down very worn sword as he said it, but they freaking did.
*goes feral* *gnaws through metal* *claws at the screen*
I freaking love this moment.
Are they using tokijin as a representation of his mental state? It feels like they’re using tokijin as a representation of his mental state. Which makes him using tenseiga to protect himself and his brother after even better, because tenseiga is a sword of healing.
