1, 12, and 18 for Gold? ^-^
Hey there!! Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!!
1. Why do you like or dislike this character?
I like how different of other mind readers and telepaths she is, in every other media I've read or watched telepaths tend to have this eerie aura, being quite steady and confident, always seem to be 1 to 10 steps ahead, hardly looking nervous even when their third plan has failed and so on, and even when they're nervous they manage to keep themselves centered and focused, and usually this pose is only broken by a "they have no powers actually" revelation or by a "they lost their powers" plot, but then Gold is not, while in her first appearance she tries to evoke these aspects, this pose falls apart quickly, revealing us a more nervous and anxious character, very prone to despair. It's a very rare way to see a character whose main power is telepathy I find it an interesting one.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
One idea I've had that I got surprisingly fond to is that massage her mark is somehow highly relaxing and is a way to dimish her headaches if/when she gets. Also, it can help her a lot to fall asleep. (But you have to know an exact way to the massage be effective.)
18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?
Professor and Silver, I like the concept of her coming from a very cold and demanding enviroment and finding a more welcoming, pacient and friendly one and wish we had gotten the chance of her look back at the former now she was with the latter and reflect on the contrast between the two.

BOK EMOHI
hello teddy you get um. the Denizen Hardwick from the Knights of the Borrowed Dark series is reborn as Tsuna from Katekyou Hitman Reborn fanfic because tbh despite the fact you know neither of those franchises I think you’d vibe with this one pretty hard tl:dr denizen refuses to join the mafia and is deeply confused about why his flame powers are no longer turning him into iron every time he uses them
so this one was also largely based around one (1) image i kept rotating in my head it’s denizen hardwick, guy born into a universe where the price for using his flame-themed magic system is Literally Slowly Turning Into An Iron Statue piece by piece, in a bed at night staring down at his burning, unblemished hands, completely unable to comprehend a universe where power doesn’t come with a Cost
this one basically just follows the plot of the khr manga with the mc swapped for a reincarnated denizen hardwick, noted guy who actually Has A Spine and can Say No and his adventures in absolutely turning over everything people thought was possible with the khr magic system with the abilities and knowledge he gained in his previous life (he kind of had the entire magic system dropped into his head at one point in the books, I love him) and also poking at how his relationships with the khr characters would change and develop
also I’m pretty sure I wanted his gf Mercy, inter-dimensional queen of the weird inter-dimensional monsters, to show up and say hi at some point, purely for the hell of it and also because I love her <3 pretty much ditching the entire future arc plot of khr on account of portals are really fucking dangerous in the knights of the borrowed dark world so I can justify denizen just. taking the time travel portal gun away from the child so i don’t have to deal with that entire clusterfuck
in conclusion i love denizen dearly and i want to put him in the khr world and then shake it like a bottle to see what happens

Portalswap AU! HCs
Boiling, New York
- First off, not ALL the characters are swapped, just those at my discretion
- In Boiling, King is a Boiling Isles demon, but disguised as a talking cat, Hooty is only known as the voice over the PA. There’s a lot of Boiling Isles stuff in Boiling (and there’s a reason for that, related to GF’s weirdness magnet).
- Edric actually works at the Owl House too, the only employee besides the Noceda twins (Child labor laws, more like child labor suggestions).
- Vee is still a changeling. She does not know. This will be a plot point.
- The Blights are more old money, and keep their surname. Most the rest of the characters have more human names, and some are just in the Boiling Isles...
- Philip Whittebane is the mayor, raising his “nephew from out of town” Hunter.
Witches in Frogland
- In Amphibia, the Pineblood twins don’t have their Palismans yet, but Dipper’s on the Potion track while Mabel’s a Beastmaster.
- They’re relatively nonplussed about Amphibia, it’s not too different from home, just less boiling rain. I’d call that an improvement!
- I’m still kinda thinking of punny frog names for the characters? Not sure about Wendy (Croakaroy?) but Soos Frogmirez is a go.
- There’s definitely people(toads? newts?) hunting down reports of actual magic & ‘pink skinned monsters’
- Something something masked emperor Axolotl. Cipher’s in there somewhere.
- They were not the only Witches who ended up in Amphibia, like a certain Oracle student, or an abomination goo heiress...
Three Girls in the Boiling Isles
- I’m not designing the Coven heads, there might be some overlap with canon TOH characters, but I’m still thinking. Andrias Leviathan is still king, and he is not the first.
- I’m keeping most of the Amphibia names, Wartwood is actually an agricultural town, and most its population specializes in beast keeping or plant magic.
- Hopidiah Plantar is a Beast Master, as is Sprig, but he’s questioning taking up plant magic. The Plantar family itself is half demon and keeps the secret of Glyphs.
- Sasha ends up with the Demon Hunters, under the command of Construction Witch Grimes.
- Marcy ends up with the Emperor’s Coven, is taught Glyph Magic by the human Andrias, and is basically the Golden Guard.
- Wartwood is pretty far afield from the capital, so Anne has some adventure before heading there.
Overall elements:
Bill Cipher & Demons
Grimmwalkers
Grimoires
Portals (Door portal for Sashannemarcy, mirror for the Pinebloods, and a tri colored box for [Spoilers]

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL QUICK CROSSOVER GUIDE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So crossovers are usually difficult for a lot of people. So, because I tend to think about these things, I thought I would make this comprehensive list/guide to writing crossovers with me. This isn’t anything in concrete, but to get the ball rolling or to help make it easier for both sides to contribute to plotting. It can be hard when you don’t know the fandom.
FNF, or Friday Night Funkin’ is a rhythm based game around rap battles. The Protagonist (known as BF) is trying to prove himself and win over his Girlfriend’s (GF) Dad, and it spirals from there. Gameplay style, it is very similar to Dance Dance Revolution, and the music is a fast pasted dubstyle/chiptune soundtrack.
What a lot of people know FNF for, however is the Mods. Due to it being on Newgrounds, and the creators having it be open asset, many creators are able to make their own “weeks” for players to challenge their skills in. Ruv, and those within Mid Fight Masses, are one of those mods. You can find most of their lore scattered in the scenes of their week, or by going on their official FNF Wiki.
Now, what does this mean for crossovers? I put it under a read more, simply because this is going to be a lot. I’m going to explain crossover verses I have. How I make them, and how YOU could have your character be in the FNF verse quite easily. So go under the read more to continue reading.

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  RUV IN OTHER UNIVERSES
Here are some just ideas that I came up with. While not EVERY interaction will work with these, they are ideas. They’re meant to kick start ideas and inspirations. I do not consider these full verses until I’ve talked with the other mun to make sure that they are okay with it. These can easily be changed, and swapped out for different things. My main goal here is to try and keep Ruv down to his core elements while fitting into a new setting.
Tumblr media
POKEMON- Ruv, along with Sarv run the church- which she has turned into a sanctuary and a Nursery. Much like in Canon, Sarv is supernatural, and Ruv as a run away criminal vowed his life for all eternity to protect her. With church’s going out however, the next next step would be a PokeNursery.           Ruv acts as protector of the Nursery from trainers and groups alike. He usually is seen sitting on the roof, throwing pebbles at kids or passerby’s who irk him in some way. You can always find his Onix, his Low-Key Toxtricity, and his Absol around him or the nursery at all times. He does still have his strength, speed, and other abilities. The “face” he has is also a mask- an attempt to hide his identity as the wanted criminal.
OWL HOUSE- Ruv was a wanted criminal for the longest time. His magic, due to where he was born was a lot less like those around him. He could fit into the covens, but anything he did reflected back on him. Living alone, and learning to just modify himself he became a wanted criminal with a bone breaking shout.            However all of those times soon came to a stop as he met the winged mistress he stays with now. Protecting her (though she is much more than capable of protecting himself) she runs one of the many sects in the area. It isn’t the best building, but it’s out of the way and he usually isn’t spotted. However, unfortunately his past comes back to haunt him. He has no choice, and begrudgingly assists the Guards to repay for his crimes.           Tied to Sarv through magical bonds, he has made it clear to those in charge and to her- should something come between his duty as a guard or her, he would chose her a million times over.
DUCKTALES- Ruv is the petrified remains of the guardian of St. Sarvente. Awoken as the earth was shifted off of it’s orbit and forced into something it’s not, the callous guard is in search of the one he calls Sarvente, whom he claims is the Ruler of Souls and the one he Vowed to Protect. He is, 100% made of stone.
TOONTOWN- Stickfigures aren’t uncommon drawings. One’s as complicated as he and Sarv though usually get a few eyes. Not only that, but video game characters are always treated differently in Toontown. Maybe it’s because of a developers history, or lack there of. The story of Ruvyzvat being a heartless killer however spreads like wild flower, and while he and Sarv will primarily stay at the church... sometimes curiosity becomes too much.
KINGDOM HEARTS- FNF is it’s own world. Keyblade turned into a microphone, Ruv & Sarv are some of the first that would be met. Despite their challenge, they are rather distanced from the troubles of the Darkness and Light and would be semi-good companions.
THE BLACKOUT CLUB- Ruv is a 16. Any day will be the day that a voice will end up taking over, merging with his mind. That’s fine. Much like how Seed-The-Grudge would want, he’ll just get revenge.
HAZBIN HOTEL / HELLUVA BOSS- Ruv ironically enough is one of the few in Hell who does not make him dead. In fact, in some cases that can make him extremely rare. This crossover he IS able to accompany Sarvente into the Underworld, and follow her on her treks through it. While most assume he is a dead sinner, he usually just doesn’t answer. However something about being here and meeting those who reside within the land sets him off. He’s a tad more feral, and a tad more willing to go to the violent answer.
PORTAL- Violence core. What else is there to say? Alternatively, him being a test subject would be fascinating, especially if he was grabbed post-vow. The man is immortal, and therefore would have messed with the tests just by the fact that there is only way for him to die. Death isn’t the worst thing to happen to a man however, and he does still feel pain.
RWBY- Ruv has the ability to manipulate sound waves, specifically his own). Trained with great strength and and even greater speed, his form of combat is continuously dodging as he looks for a weak spot. Weapons of choice are shot gun snow boots, and his sickle that doubles as a short sword.
DOCTOR WHO- Sarv has the ability to create portals. While they are MEANT to be used to intergalactive travel, but instead parallel world travel that in of itself is monumental for a lot of DW plots. Ruv and Sarv can easily go from one universe to the next, however chose to stay in the church. Not to mention Ruv’s skills in target elimination and his abilities would make for some individuals to repurpose him into a weapon. While they have been approached by UNIT on several occasions, they always refuse. However, enough time has passed that they’re starting to notice that the couple in the church aren’t aging...
FNAF- RUVYZVAT and SARVENTE were creations of Fazbear Entertainments as karaoke machines... if we want to go the robot route. If we want to go the normal person route, Ruv was hired by Fazbear’s because it’s one of the few places that doesn’t do a background check, and when he said he wanted to wear a mask as part of the work outfit they were all for it. He runs the karaoke machine though. Stays away from quite literally everyone. While he isn’t the infamous killer of children here, he does have a reputation of his own that he is running from, and that does tend to make him silent.
BATIM- Criminal on the run stumbles into the wastelands formerly known as Bendy’s. Actually enjoys it at first because the cartoon was popular when he was a child. ALT. Stickman drawing of one of the artists come to life. Usually pretends to be Lost One, but when he’s alone with another (Sarvente) they turn into their stickman version selves. Has the ability to jump between 2 and 3 dimensions, but none of the strength or voice.
PSYCHONAUTS- Agent Ruvyzvat, Russian sector. Ruv is working for the Psychonauts in some weird, turning event. Mainly because the sole woman that he trusts and saved his life, Agent Sarvente brought him in. The two are inseparable, and despite Sasha and Nein being infamous for their clinginess, these two take it to a whole knew level. Ruve’s “loud voice” is actually a psychic ability he can use outside of the mind to jumble and confuse thoughts and has no damage on anything physically in the present.
GRAVITY FALLS- Sarvente is a Demon, much like Bill. Where sa Bill desires nothing but chaos and madness, Sarvente is trying her best to keep the world like it is and preserve it’s beauty. Seeing such beauty in a runaway criminal, she and he run to the forests of Oregon. Throughout Weirdmageddon, neither managed to be captured or turned to stone, however Ruv seemingly gained his incredible voice abilities. Now, they live in a semi-collapsed church out in the forest. Sarvente always asking those who come her way to join their church, Ruv is suspicious why such events would happen in such a small town, and is distrusting of most everyone he sees.
DETECTIVE CONAN / KAITOU KID / ANY ANIME OR SERIES LIKE THAT- VERY infamous criminal. Take his “Wanted Dead or Alive” that exists in all other verses, and ramp that up quite a bit. Usually wears a mask whenever he is committing a crime. He does seem to be in it for the fun, though it’s hard to tell with the stoic and expressionless looks. That being said, he does seem to have a very clear goal of what he wants. There are no patterns to where he hits, or what he takes. From wallets of people off the streets, to priceless artifacts. He’ll find where Sarvente went, and how they were able to change her mind in such a way.... how they could corrupt her.
MODERN / NON-EXTREMELY FANTASTICAL- Ruv is honestly a rather down to Earth individual, in some terms. He is untrusting of EVERYTHING, but also due to his own strengths finds little that fear or challenges him. Keep him mind he did make a deal with Lucifer (or his Lucifer) for Immortality for protecting her. While he will always be doing things on his own, a lot of his end goals and motives will come back to her. Without her involvement, he is a walking, talking, machine of destruction with no sway on which side he decides to tear apart.
Tumblr media
☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL STOPPING POINTS FOR WANTING TO PLOT
Tumblr media
DON’T KNOW THE WORLD YOU’RE FROM / YOU DON’T KNOW MY LORE. - That’s fine. I can get my hands dirty. I can research. In fact I usually would love nothing more to. I love learning about new fandoms, or new media to get into. You shouldn’t be afraid of that. As for mine- It should take someone less than an hour to get through all of the links I have posted in the RESOURCES tab in my bio. I’ve timed it. So if you have an hour to spare, or 15, or just enough time to read his wiki that’s fine. He’s not from a long running show, or anything like that. You can catch up extremely quick.
WELL WHAT ABOUT A BOOK/COMIC? HOW WOULD HE FIT IN?- If we are talking about Super Hero comics, then it depends. 90% of the time I will just play up his wanted status a lot more, and make it more of a reason for an interaction. You just ran into a man who has killed hundreds. If your muse is a super hero, or a vigilante? Would you let him go? What a villain? That might make a good partner.
TV SHOW? LIVE ACTION?- Again, it depends on the type of show. Superhero follows the same above. If it’s investigative, have him be a witness. Or a falsely accused man who can prove he isn’t the guilty party. Is it more supernatural- well he did make a deal with Lucifer and is an immortal now from it. There are a million ways to spin it. Don’t look at making him a big character. Quite honestly, side characters that you pass in the street have just as much backstory, and as long as there is a plausible chance of interactions then we can work it out from there.
Tumblr media
☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL IDEAS TO BE AWARE OF THAT MIGHT HELP
Tumblr media
HE IS A WANTED CRIMINAL.- Meaning his name Ruvyzvat is known. Despite his crimes going on for decades, he is on the run and never stopped. Several city, state, countries, and possibly nations are looking for him, and looking to take him in.
HE IS ALSO AN IMMORTAL.- While he hasn’t been around forever, and nearly not as long as Sarvente has been, he HAS been around for at least 100 years, give or take some. He can be injured, but even fatal injuries heal in an almost Deadpool like way.
HE ALSO HAS SUPERNATURAL POWERS.- His speed and reflexes alone is not something to be taken lightly. He does train and fight with Lucifer on what used to be a semi-regular basis. He has moved and adapted to be able to make sure no one but the singular person he trusts is able to lay a hand on him. That isn’t to say you can’t catch him off guard. You also have his inhuman strength to worry about, but most of all his voice. His voice which could completely demolish a building, and that isn’t the full strength. He has an amazing control over it, but that certainly isn’t a trait of his to ignore.
HE IS NOT ALWAYS IN THE CHURCH. I MADE SURE OF THAT WHEN I MADE MY BLOG.- He goes on walks, and he goes on errands. He also goes to the Gym on occasion, though not as often. He enjoys walks on the beach far earlier than anyone should be awake at. What I’m saying is running into him OUTSIDE of the church is possible. That being said, meeting him IN the church is your best bet for him warming up quicker. He feels safer in the church, and therefore usually wishes to stay there.
DOESN’T FIT THE STYLE OF CHARACTERS/WORLD? - If he doesn’t fit, then I can work to adapt him into something that WOULD fit. What characteristics about him doesn’t work. This is when I would need plotting help. If, lets say it was an all animal world, we can talk about what he is, his traits, and other such things. I am always happy to not use my icons- I just like to because I think they’re neat and I worked hard on them.
WHAT WOULD HE BE DOING?- Any number of things. He likes throwing pebbles at people. He mainly guards and protects Sarvente and her things, but I know we’re talking besides this. He cannot cook, but he does actually sew, and he does read quite a bit. Working on his fist to fist fighting would be a big one. He likes secluded areas, which especially work for explorer’s and people who walk off the beaten path.
IS THERE ANYWHERE HE COULDN’T BE?- He wouldn’t be at a bar. Ruv doesn’t drink, at all. I also don’t see him at any parties unless Sarv dragged him to them. Writing starters or plotting around those are perfectly fine, but do not expect his muse to be comfortable while he’s there.
HE SEEMS OVERPOWERED.- At times, he certainly can be, but only when he feels it’s necessary. He doesn’t flaunt his abilities, and most he has are out of self preservation. If you as a mun are worried about him and what he can do, the best thing you can do is read my information, look into his wiki, and then come and talk to me. Ruv isn’t someone who will 100% abuse what abilities he has, especially since now he is trying his best to be better for her since it makes her happy.
Tumblr media
☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL IDEAS TO HAVE YOUR CHARACTERS IN HIS UNIVERSE
Tumblr media
LOCATIONS?- The Church, the back alleys, the karaoke bar (that primarily does rap battles), the Alternate dimension that Sarv made so that he can be loud and not retrain his voice.
MOTIVATIONS?- If your muse is in the FNF world, then be ready for some sick beats to be dropped. Your muse could be rescuing someone from the BBEG and going through the slew of minions to sing against. There’s always the alternative side of this of “what the hell is going on?”
MY CHARACTER ISN’T FROM THERE, SO THEY WOULDN’T FIT IN.- Well I do have a “main” verse which replaces raps with fists. Looking for someone important to them, in the search of a deep and hidden artifact within the search, the rumors of a man born 100 years ago- theres a lot to be found in the library if you looked.
WHAT DOES THE FNF WORLD CONSIST OF?- It consists of Demon Daddies, Singing Skeletons and Pumpkins, Tankmen, a Demonic Lemon Demon, Sentient Video Game Characters, and if you take the mods in you also have Demon, Angels, Ghosts, Deadly Ex’s, Bomb Headed Men-- I promise your character will fit in at the end of the day.
ISN’T HE EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE AND HARD TO TALK TO?- He can be. He talks in very short sentences, however I do my best to give my reply enough that you can reply to. Actions, and I chose to be very descriptive with his expressions in this case. Ruv spend many years alone, and sometimes with him, actions speak louder than words. When you or your muse figure that out is up to you.
WELL WE CAN’T DO AN ENTIRE THREAD IN A CHURCH.- I never said we had to. He is more than happy to leave the church should he want, and should there be a reason. Usually, (despite what it seems) he does like helping people, so you can lure him out that way ;)

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY OKAY SO I had this idea that’s similar to Reverse Falls—except everyone’s personalities/roles are swapped, so for example Stan takes the place of Ford and ends up in the portal, and Ford takes the place of Stan and is stuck trying to get him back for thirty years. Mabel and Dipper swap, as do Soos and Wendy, and Gideon and Pacifica, Candy and Grenda, etc.
They’re the same people with the same likes/dislikes and talents, but their personalities are all switched around!! So while Dipper is still mega fascinated by science and mysteries and stuff, he’s very outgoing and energetic and silly, while Mabel is more reserved and very shy about her creative passions—which leads to her being the one to find the journals, and take interest in them because they’re quirky and entertaining—and written by Stan :’) Dipper has a million different sweater vests, and Mabel has buttons and pins all over her clothes!
I see Ford and Stan’s story playing out as like, Ford was the one born with six fingers but it never bothered him much, and he was a very energetic personality as a kid, leading him and Stan into tons of trouble. Meanwhile Stan has always had self confidence issues, and he always took people calling him the “lesser twin” to heart, despite Ford encouraging him not to. Stan always had an interest in the mysterious, as well as Ford, but Stan’s fascination of it stemmed from his own anxiety issues, and found that he could relate a lot to the weird and unusual (because really, a lot of them were like him, labeled as weird and dumb because of his “mental” issues)
Rest is under the cut because it got LONG lol
This all came to a head during high school when Stan started writing fiction;; and really GOOD fiction at that. He couldn’t outwardly express himself and his interest in the supernatural, but he could do that through fiction, which made everything so much easier for him since he has social anxiety! And he found he was really talented at it. Which leads to a great big story writing contest, and the principal telling Stan that if he wins he can get a scholarship and go to college for writing. (The principal also says Ford is going places, too, but the things Stan can do will get him far, while Ford will always be stuck with the more…disapproving of careers. Assuming writers are a big hit, and scientists are just seen as frauds and losers.) Stan gets REALLY excited about this, which bums Ford out a lot because he wanted to do the treasure hunting thing and search for anomalies together, but Stan protests saying this is his passion and he’s finally being given an opportunity to do something good and worthwhile with his life.
The night before the contest, Ford sneaks in to the library where all the entries are set up, and accidentally mixes Stan’s story up with someone else’s—the pages get all intermixed and weird, and he quickly leaves before he can fix it because he’s about to get caught by night security (but he THINKS he got the pages in order when he in fact did not). The next day the judges read Stan’s story and say it makes no sense, it’s all out of context and the writing is all over the place and sloppy—so Stan loses. Of course he realizes that something must have happened, and after seeing a pen that belongs to Ford on the floor, he realizes what Ford has done. Which results in their enormous fight, and Ford is the one to be thrown out of the house.
Ford still manages to make it into college anyway, despite being homeless for a time, and starts studying hard. It’s not…a good college, at all, and he gets roughed up a lot and teased by frat boys, and struggles endlessly to make ends meet financially, and battles with intense depression. But he manages, somehow :’)
Stan, on the other hand, is so torn up about Ford leaving that he is essentially writers blocked—and he can’t write anything of any worth for a LONG time. Eventually he’s forced to get a low paying job in Glass Shard, wondering where it all went wrong, and missing Ford fiercely but still too upset to reach out. (He’s sure Ford is doing fine on his own, anyway.)
Eventually Stan manages to catch the attention of a publishing company along the way, and gets enough money to finally move out and continue his work! Which leads him to Gravity Falls, a place rumored for being weird, so Stan goes there to get inspiration for his writing, and starts a new life.
Ford, meanwhile, has graduated from college, but with a degree from such a shitty place he’s turned down for many job offers. He essentially starts traveling around the country, trying and failing to get noticed, and things start getting really tight for him moneywise, and people start chasing him down to repay his college debt. Yeah. It’s bad lol
Stan decides to call up an old friend of his that he encountered working part of the industry, Susan!! Susan happily comes up to Gravity Falls to act as an “editor” of some sorts for Stan’s latest in-progress novel. Stan also starts keeping a record of all the weird things he sees in Gravity Falls in a journal—and as time passes, the more he gets involved, and the more crazy he gets about discovering the source of all the weirdness there…which leads to him discovering a cave full of symbols and eventually ends up summoning Time Baby (yes, he and Bill are swapped in this!). Time Baby tells Stan that he’s brilliant, that he can bring all of his stories to life and live out his wildest fantasies if they work together. And so, Time Baby helps Stan in order to build a portal—but not a DIMENSIONAL portal, no. A TIME portal. Because I see Time Baby wanting to extend his rule to every time period possible in this AU, but being limited by time laws and possibly a revolutionized force trying to stop him. If he gets access to a time portal he can spread his influence farther, and attempt to take over all timelines, the past, the present, and the future. And Stan, who in this AU hadn’t grown up knowing when someone was trying to con him, falls for Time Baby’s flattery EASILY, and starts building the portal with his instructions. Susan also helps, being a mechanic alongside an editor. But unfortunately, an accident during testing gave Susan a glimpse into the future, where she witnessed the horrifying truth of Time Baby’s rule. She quit the project and decided to leave Stan on his own, who realizes Time Baby’s lies and started to lose his mind as he attempted to protect himself against the overlord’s influence. Which leads to him calling up Ford!!
Ford, who is currently barely scraping by, drops everything to go see Stan in Gravity Falls, in an excited attempt to reconcile. Of course Stan is driven by paranoia and anxiety at this point, so he snaps at Ford, demands him to hide his journals, and this results in their enormous brawl. Ford gets burned, they accidentally activate the portal, and Stan falls in—to be sent to an apocalyptic future.
Unfortunately without Stan’s other journals Ford has no IDEA how the portal works. And seeing as Stan worked with a being from a future with extreme technological advancements, even with his genius he can’t figure it out right away, and especially without the other journals to help. So, as Ford struggles to bring the portal back online, he decides to take over the Shack and transform it into a science museum of some sorts. Being as outgoing as he is, Ford’s able to draw people in with his friendly personality and contagious energy, which earns him enough money to keep the Shack running. He fakes his own death (mostly to escape the mountain of debt he’s in—I know, Ford isn’t the type, but he really didn’t want people sniffing around after all he’d been through, and paying back loans is the last thing on his mind, especially since he’s avoided it already and is labeled as a criminal anyway), opens the Mystery Shack, which is home to tons of crazy inventions and neat science factoids and tours, and thirty long years pass as he struggles to work the portal again. (He tries tons of different complicated things, but nothing works. He gets very frustrated with it sometimes.)
Eventually, the summer of 2012 arrives and with it comes Dipper and Mabel! And you know, things play out pretty similarly to how the original GF universe did. Bill is an interdimensional demon who keeps track of people dimension hopping (which Mabel and Dipper inevitably end up doing once they get their hands on a space tape), Gideon is filthy rich, Pacifica is a fake psychic who has an interest in Dipper, Wendy is the girl who fixes up the Shack, Soos is the guy always slacking off and being cool (and the thought of Mabel having a crush on him is. WEIRD but consider it being like, teen Soos or smth. Soos but COOL. He could pull it off), Fiddleford is a cheeky waiter at the diner—you get the point lol.
Anyway I am dubbing this AU as UPSIDE-DOWN FALLS! (I apologize if anyone else has ever had a similar idea, but it just popped into my head and I couldn’t disregard it man;;)
Also I feel that Ford and Stan might eventually go traveling the dimensions, or a mishap occurs and they get separated or something—and Ford runs into the regular GF verse Stan, and he has a great fondness for him because they’re practically the same. (Stan won’t admit it but he really likes Upside-Down Ford too.)

So I've been following your art for a while but I NEED to know more! What characters are you currently playing and what do they think of their current... circumstances? Parties? Comrades? I don't know how this works but DETAILS! I would like to know everything you have to say! Please keep creating!
omg WELL...if you want the overarching story of each character I have a page for them, with the most active characters closer to the top. I also have a collection of fics over on ao3 that touch on certain moments, but the word count has added up over time even if the chapters are all quite short lmao
that being said, thank you for asking & encouraging me to keep creating! I’ve included more under the cut.
tuesday I play in a game run by two dms who switch every arc set in matthew mercer’s tal’dorei setting. I play my half-elf rogue cihro and I’ve been playing him since level 2 - we’re 11 rn but we’ll probably hit 12 at the end of a mini-arc we’re doing. that game is gunna hit its 3 year anniversary in march!
most recently him and his half-brother rescued their parents from the theatre in the feywild. we were gone for 12 days but we rolled an 18 on the die when we returned so 12 months passed on the material plane! his current state of mind is funny b/c he went in knowing the time dilation was a risk, and as a half-elf with a long-lived partner he was okay with that. so on one hand he’s elated to have his dad back, who he spent a long time grieving, but when we got back to westruun we found out his mentor escaped prison & killed a high-ranking officer in the swords, which has caused the city to effectively be on lockdown ever since
so on the other hand he’s listening to this report like “hmm that’s my mentor, who trained me, personally, and the general doesn’t know my connection to him,” knowing he’ll probably be contacted soon. then the party paladin is gunna get on his dick about hunting his mentor down and cihro’s gunna be like “no” for the 50th time, which is a point - the party is kind of divided between people who are more survivalist & pragmatic, like cihro, vs people who want to do greater good & hunt down cultists no matter the cost, like our paladin
their party name is unofficially ‘the fuckpack’ but officially we might call ourselves overkill b/c that’s what we do all the time
cihro’s best friend is a goliath monk/cleric named kishore and she’s played by my pal @solfell-dnd, who is an excellent writer. I plan on multiclassing him into bard after he hits level 13 rogue. next arc I plan on swapping in iona so cihro can go chill somewhere or do secret work for the clasp
saturday I play in a game run by @greyfen in an original setting. my main pc for that game is surina, my dragonborn barb/fighter, and we’ve also been playing them since level 2! my two games are pretty neck in neck but she’s currently on vacation with her gf & childhood friend, valcyis, so I swapped in genevieve, my orc blood hunter. she’s quite new to the party but she has a good first impression of them so far, but she’s generally very easy going. last sesh she revealed she’s a werewolf in a fight b/c it went sideways due to a ton of bad rolls. I intended to keep it hidden longer since she’s mostly kept it secret out of habit + she’s more caged than I realized, but I figured we could use the boost
they ALSO just went into the feywild on a whim cuz children have gone missing and a portal tore open in the middle of the street during a festival so we hopped on through. the missing children is a good motivator for her cuz she has a daughter she doesn’t want stolen
their party is called the iron hearts, which is an evolution from their original name, the bastard patrol. they have statues being made of them in the city rn, can’t wait for surina to find that out when she gets back
hopefully that answers your questions lmao it’s a lot to cover when you’re in multiple games that have been running for years. if you read all this, I commend you

If Dewey's the one that goes trough the portal in the GF AU, and Huey & Louie argue (like in the Gen Swap LMAO), then Louie's the twins' dad?
Oh my ^^”
Ok, first of all let’s answer your question: No, nope, no way xD I get it you’re asking that because Louie’s the youngest and Dipper and Mabel are grandkids of Stan and Ford’s younger sibling (probably? I can be wrong :v), but I love Uncle Louie too much, and to me Della and Donald are Dewey’s kids in this type of scenario, so I couldn’t do them Louie’s kids.
But you know what? This detail actually won’t matter, and I’m gonna tell why.
@hakuneki07‘s idea is amazing and I’m very grateful for the drabble they wrote. However, no matter how much Huey and Louie were mad at Dewey and each other before, once Dewey had gone through the portal, those two would put whatever difference aside and work together to bring their brother back.
In the Gen Swap, Dewey was completely lost, he basically vanished on space’s immensity. In the Gravity Duck Twins, they can fix that portal and bring him back. There’s no way Huey or Louie would leave Gravity Falls. What would mean that Della and Donald would’ve to born and grow up in the town to be raised by any of them.
And in the middle of all this mess I’d still have to find a place to fit Scrooge and aaaaaaa I don’t wannaaaaa~ T-T I’m acting like a baby, I’m sorry, but urgh I’d have to change completely the entire base of Gravity falls’ plot!
That’s why, yes, Huey, Dewey and Louie do exist in this AU and Dewey’s the twins’ father (the three of them can even raise the kids together!), but they are not going to be a big part in the story. Actually, unless I suddenly decide otherwise, they will have the same participation that Dipper and Mabel’s parents had: none.
Which, honestly, isn’t a big problem to me, because I already have an AU where I work with the triplets having conficts and Donald and Della are kids. That’s the Gen swap AU.
You guys know me, I don’t like to just copy and paste a story with different names playing the actions. But I want to use this Gravity Falls AU to work the twins’ relationship with their Grunkle Scrooge; I didn’t want to remold all of the plot to fit angst with the triplets here too.
So! I wrote this whole essay just to say: it’s not Dewey who is going through the portal. I still have to decide who will, but it’s not gonna be one of the triplets.

Dirk Gently Holistic Detective Agency & Gravity Falls similarities
I think we all can agree that besides obvious differences between the two shows,  they share weird chaotic energy (especially DGHDA season 2), so I decided to list things those two have in common. SPOILERS AHEAD
chaos, chaos, chaos
time travel
weird cult using some Sci-Fi machinery (Man Of The Machine, Society Of The Blind Eye)
portals
COLOURFULLNESS
a small town with regional gothic vibes where weird things happen (Bergsberg, Gravity Falls)
magic/science fiction stuff
siblings! + angst/hurt/ making mistakes/one is trying to fix everything after they did something wrong but in the end, they love each other
family/ found family/friendship feels
main characters are the chaotic energy colourful goofball (Dirk and Mabel DO share similar vibes) and plainly dressing nervous nerd considered loser by some people (Todd, Dipper)
also Mabel sweaters - Dirk’s jackets anyone????
both Dirk and Dipper are technically detectives
keeping secrets from the rest of the family
different dimensions/universes - (backstage of reality, Wendimoor + all the GF dimensions)
aggressive villains with a Southern accent (Gideon Gleeful, Osmund Priest)
secret government agency getting involved
not very responsible, police comprised of softies that often do not-police work while on duty (I'm thinking GF police and Tina and Hobbes, cause Zimmerman  and Estevez actually were effective; also Tina and Hobbes in the end actually were a good policeman, but Gravity Falls and Bergsberg department actually share similar vibes so...)
music festivals (Woodstick Festival, Sound Of Nothing) with love spells (Suzie Borton miscast spell, the Love God shenanigans in GF)
books with magic spells (the Wendimoor book & the Pines Journals)
animal sidekicks (Waddles and Rapunzel + the Kitten-Shark)
switching bodies (Machine in DGHDA and the Body Swapping Carpet in GF), also with animals (Lydia-Rapunzel; Soos-Waddles)
a lot of illegal stuff happening and a lot of hurting happening
incredibly cool but actually nervous warrior-female that's handy with weapons (Wendy, Farah) that the anxious nerd (and sometimes loser) has a crush on (Todd, Dipper)
unicorns exist but are kinda weird (they were unicorns in Wendimoor, just reminding ya)
scientist inventing weird machines (Patrick Spring, Fiddleford and Stanford)
weird oracle-magic-humanoids  - Wakti Wapnasi has the Oracle vibes (Oracle is an entity from one of the GF dimensions mentioned in The Journal 3 that Stanford met during his travels)
weird houses/mansions where weird stuff happens (Northwest Manor, The Mystery Shack, Cardenas House, Patrick Spring mansion)
(this is a bit of a stretch but oh well) music Bands (Sev’ral times and Love Patrol Alpha in GF  The Mexican Funeral in DGHDA)
shapeshifters (also kinda a stretch, cause Mona isn’t exactly a shapeshifter) - Mona Wilder & the Gravity Fall’s shapeshifter
weird guns (Stanford’s gun & the airgun in DGHDA)
the motive of “taking responsibility” and “taking action”
psychics that aren't psychics (Gideon, Dirk)
brass knuckles (Todd has one’s in s2 + obviously Stan’s brass knuckles)
angry (punk) people (Rowdy 3 + the Gravity Falls Girl Squad in The Last Mabelcorn episode, the bikers from Gravity Falls’ biker bar called Skull Fracture and of course, Stanford Pines)
girl power
weird symbols and tattoos
humanoid magic creatures (Wendimoor creatures + all of the supernatural creatures from Gravity Falls)
the rift in the fabric of reality in Gravity Falls has similar vibes to “the universe is broken” trope in DGHDA
retro/vintage vibes sometimes
retrospection
re-using popular tv-tropes in an unconventional way

This AU has probably been done so many Times by now
But I don't Care!!
Here's my Interpretation of "what If Stan fell Into the Portal Instead of Ford?"
I really wanna explore this Idea some more but for now Here's what I'd Imagine Stan to Look Like :)

it’s been literal ages since i’ve actively DONE anything with this blog but i really wanna get back into developing this au since i love it a lot,, even if “developing” is more just. writing scattered drabbles and snippits instead of writing through it chronologically so...
if you have questions or prompt ideas or cool thoughts about any particular era, please do let me know, i love talking about this crossover!
the 5 eras of this crossover:
Era 1: (August 1967- June 1968) Glass Shard Beach/Quartz Shard Cove Era 2: (1968-1982) Stan in Trollmarket/Ford’s research years Era 3: (1982-2012) Wilderness Years Era 4: (2012-2016) Summer 2012 and beyond Era 5: (Spring 2016~) The new trollhunters
(a ton more rando ideas under the cut)
Era 1: (August 1967- June 1968) Glass Shard Beach/Quartz Shard Cove
Big ideas: -Stan finds amulet, discovers underground civilization of trolls alongside Ford -Helps protect Quartz Shard Cove, the troll city below them, over the course of senior year -Major foes are Korsiva (a disgraced ex-general of Gunmar who’s been in hibernation for years) and an east coast branch of the Janus Order -Stan and Ford’s baby nephew (son of their big brother Shermie), Alexander, gets swapped out for a changeling. Chaos ensues. -Carla- Stan’s best friend- is brought into the fold/fights alongside the twins. -That time they recovered a single piece of the Killahead that was unguarded- they learn the changelings are trying to rebuilt it early in this AU. The piece is stowed away for safekeeping in Trollmarket, deep in the catacombs.  -Over time there’s found family themes with Alex the changeling, and he ends up defecting from the Janus Order entirely.. after experiencing all the horror of the Darklands, he just wants the chance to live a good and honest life. Through ancient magic, he finds a way to wipe the evidence of his existence from the Order. -Blinky and Aaarrrgghh pretty much slam adopt on all of these humans. -Stan and Ford’s relationship becomes more and more strained as the year goes on because Stan keeps pushing him away (thinking he’s protecting him by doing so)
Era 2: (1968-1982) Stan in Trollmarket/Ford’s research years
Big ideas: -After Stan is kicked out, he moves with Blinky and Aaarrrgghh back to Trollmarket. -Ford, to college. -Stan becomes really close with Draal during this time. -A lot of Stan’s work during this time is working to maintain peace in the troll world with the continuing threat of Killahead bridge being knowingly rebuilt, and trying to figure out WHERE the bridge pieces are being stored. (Currently it’s being hidden in a place far away from Arcadia.) -Ford still goes to Gravity Falls to research the strange and bizzare, and the Bill Cipher stuff still happens, except in this AU the Nightmare Realm and the Darklands are the same place, just this interdimensional dumping ground that Bill and Gunmar are both trapped within. They’re pretty much both competing to see who can get out first.  -Stan sent to go investigate the going-ons in Gravity Falls bc the trolls sensed an open portal to the Darklands there. He’s pissed and confused to realize it was his brother’s doing. -Ford gets sucked through the portal, along with Stan’s amulet.
Era 3: (1982-2012) Wilderness Years
Big ideas:  -The troll Tribunal forbids Stan from setting foot in any troll settlement in punishment for losing the amulet to Gunmar’s clutches. They’re essentially without a trollhunter for these 30 years. -Stan realizes the truth about Ford, that he was manipulated by an ancient eldritch being. Now feeling insanely guilty for leaving him to the whims of something like that, he begins to rebuild the thrashed portal. It may be ultimate treason to the trollkind he once swore to protect, but his family is forever more important to him than law. -Ford, meanwhile, discovers a shocking fact- the amulet calls his name too, and he can wield the armor and Daylight as well. He travels the multiverse for 30 years, learning more about the amulet and what it means to be a trollhunter along the way... crossing into dimensions where other trollhunters exist, gathering stones to use in it, gaining proficiency at fighting... -Alex- or as he comes to call himself, Lex- grows up, moves to California, falls in love with a human woman, and to his great surprise they’re able to have kids- twins. As far as he knows at that point, they’re essentially fully human- but they all know about his changeling nature. -They raise their kids in Arcadia. Occasionally, Lex does reconnaissance work for the trolls- Blinky and Vendel specifically.
Era 4: (2012-2016) Summer 2012 and beyond
Big ideas: -Lex sends his kids to GF for the summer for Stan to watch, paranoid that the Janus Order discovered what he did to their records and found him again  -Much of the summer is spent trying to uncover their Grunkle’s hidden past (he’s kept all the trollhunting stuff on the down low from family as a result of his disgrace from troll society. only lex knows the full story.) and what’s up with this mysterious journal in the woods. -The journal is p much the same except it has a toooon of troll stuff in it too. Ford’s a nerd. -Wendy is a changeling. Originally she was stationed in Gravity Falls to keep an eye on Stan and make sure he’s not up to no good, but she’s never actually gotten the chance to sneak into his basement to see what he’s working on. His security is too top-notch. When she’s finally a teen in human years she gets a job in the shack so she can get closer to him.  -Honestly I think she also flips. Just, all the changelings eventually flip when they see how great found family and friendships and anything that’s not Gunmar is, okay? XDD -Fiddleford isn’t actually entirely insane- but he’s still not all mentally there. Long story. He lives with his son and actually wears clothes most of the time. -Yknow I’m pretty sure Dipper and Mabel prob catch Wendy shifting between forms and that’s how they esp bond -Also let’s be real the two of them definitely end up exploring the troll civilization under Gravity Falls -the Wham moment where Ford walks out of the portal wearing the Armor of Daylight and everyone’s like :O OOO two trollhunters!!! ! -Weirdmageddon’s weirdness wave activates long dormant changeling genes for Dipper and Mabel, and they shift into troll forms. They’re a unique case of changeling because they are their own familiars. -Post 2012, the full story of what happened with the amulet becomes known to trollkind, and Stan’s ban from underground is lifted. He and Ford together continue trollhunting business, and they’re still a force to be reckoned with, even with their age. -In early 2016, the amulet leaves Stan and Ford, and stops responding to them both. The assumption made is that it senses the two of them are unable to carry out their duty anymore at their age, and has made the choice to move on. (normally a trollhunter just... would die long before they grew old enough for this to be a problem, so...)
Era 5: (Spring 2016~) The new trollhunters
-Dipper and Mabel are both 18, in senior year. They are fully able to shift between forms at whim by now. -Amulet picks Jim. A lot of broad canon strokes remain the same, but the trolls already are aware of the changelings still existing, and of the Killahead bridge’s threat- and have made the appropriate precautions. Tbh I still need to develop more logical divergences this new canon would make in what happens. -But I do know for sure that the changelings have to infiltrate Trollmarket to steal the stone Stan retrieved LOOONG ago in 1968 to even open the Killahead bridge at all.   -And I think Bular’s been out and about for some time trying to sniff out where this piece was being kept. His hunt has only recently brought him back to Arcadia. -Dipper and Mabel accidentally out themselves to Bular during the equivalent of the ep Young Atlas as they try to rescue Jim. This also outs the fact that ONE of their parents must be a changeling to the Janus Order.  -There is a Kidnapping that occurs,,, as Strickler is trying to pry info on where the last piece is from Lex, using Dip and Mab as collateral. Strickler gets the info he wants, sigh. -Through the battle of Killahead that eventually ensues, both Nomura AND Lex are sucked through into the Darklands. Not only does everyone want to rescue Claire’s baby brother, but they want to rescue Lex too. (There’s also some interesting ethics on whether or not they should rescue the REAL baby Alexander Pines afforded the opportunity, too. I’m still not sure if they do or not.) -When Jim goes into the Darklands, Stan and Ford return from their sailing expedition to keep the peace as best they can in Trollmarket/Arcadia. Sans amulet, of course, bc it won’t respond to them anymore but.. it’s something. -They’re there for the remainder of “S2-3.” -Ford ends up trying to defend Jim at the tribunal, but despite his eloquence still fails to convince them of anything. -When the Merlin quest happens, Dipper and Mabel are there as well. They can’t shift forms because of the magic ban, but their addition is enough to help fight off/kill Angor Rot and save Draal. -Ford knows from his journeys through the multiverse what Merlin aims to do (he’s met a future half-troll version of Jim, he Suspects) and is Against It. They fight alone at one point. -Battle stuff... Except the battle goes Fucking Wrong because of some key elements (no Angor Rot to blindside Morgana) and it ends up with the eternal night becoming permanent and some hellish frickin stuff, Morgana murders Merlin, she reconstitutes the shattered fragments of Bill Cipher within Stan’s mind (those two have History and that’s literally a whole nother Story please do ask me about it) and whisks him away in seconds to GF to go break Bill’s full essence free from his stone prison because she wants to p much steal his power for herself. -Ford found a sort of special amulet stone whilst in the multiverse that he’s been keeping all this time in case of emergencies... it allows the bearer to jump backwards in time, but only once. Only thing is, it’s also. in Gravity Falls. Kept safe in Fiddleford’s mansion. -Claire jumps them to GF via shadow staff. -Jim gets the stone and is able to use it like, just before they pretty much all die. He jumps back to RIGHT when Merlin wakes up in the tomb. -He realizes that the only real way he can stop all of this from going to hell completely is by making sure that all the shards of Bill in Stan’s mind are well and truly destroyed forever... and so they do just that. It’s a big dramatic mind demon eternal exorcism, a family/friends effort.
-there’s probably more but I’ve literally been rambling on like a noob. that’s pretty much the highlights. please do ask me questions about events/character relationships/places/timeline stuff/etc etc etc i would love to see them!

Concept- GF tying new story content to their event Pokémon. Getting to travel to new or revamped locations to catch the monthly legendary. Fighting the admins/ rematching the RR bosses. Teaming up with important characters who either ended up in the battle tree/ ignored by GF. Letting the player pick the ball they went their ‘mon in. I mean they did it for every gen up to VI.
Tbh… They kinda stopped after Gen V. You had stuff like Faraway Island with Mew (and it came w/ a lil’ puzzle), Newmoon+Fullmoon Island for Cresselia+Darkrai, etc.
ORAS just brought in the portals. Like… they didn’t even remake the locations that Hoopa Rings/Wormholes brought you too. It’s just all the same. No revisiting Lugia’s chamber in the Whirl Islands or w/e and seeing that cutscene where its shadow appears in the waterfall again. Like I didn’t push hard on ORAS for that since it was a new mechanic then, but the same foggy room for Gen VII? Come on…
Even Groudon and Kyogre got their own locations in Johto and they weren’t even local legends there originally.
The day they bring the admins back in one whole game is the day they announce a Pokemon character dating sim. Like.. GF is notorious for not using everyone and dropping stuff each Gen. I understand it’s a big franchise but you can afford to bring more people back besides Cynthia and Looker… vacations exist and that’s always a reason they can use for why someone shows up…
But in all honestly, I’d just be happy if they brought back the Rocket Executives. They were super underutilized in their game, and I want them to have more development. Same w/ Sinnoh’s imo.
The last time they really used the pair-up was Gen IV tbh. Like all your partners were people you had to help out/find around Sinnoh and it was fun. And then it just slowly declined with each Gen. And in Gen VII, they just give you a rando Breeder and Lillie as partners. Like yeah you can recruit people… but like let me find them around Alola and help them…
And another feature I’d like. Letting people swap out between Poke Balls at the PC or a special location. Like for example, you caught a Minun in a Fast Ball but then you realize it looks ugly. Let the player pay a small fee to swap the ball to another one that they own. You don’t get the ball back ofc since it’s “used”.

Crystal Falls thought. Since SU and GF sort of swap places - does that mean the revelations of A Single Pale Rose and Not What He Seems swap what time they occur? And if not... what would be their equivalents here? The portal probably would have instead been something set up by Bill, and Ford is on Homeworld - maybe it's a race against time to stop it from being activated at all so he can't come through it? Like, the "Portals" are how Bill gets his army around quickly.
Well in CF Ford’s not really that involved with the Portal, that was more of a Crystal Gem thing there (cause remember its a role swap AU in a sense) So I don’t really see the timing on things switching around tbh

How did you come up with your character Addi?
Well THAT’S a long story...
After binging Gravity Falls up to NWHS (ATOTS aired before Addi also) I started speculating on the existence of a second assistant to Ford. This was based on the three key shut down protocol and the three part harmony (this was later revealed to be because Ford played a record but I like my interpretation better). To me, there was no way it could have only been Ford and Fidds doing research.  (I also speculated that Fidds wasn't there for too long which was later revealed that he was only there as an assistant for a year) I also put Bill into consideration. But he didn't have a physical form and was swapping with Ford in Ford’s body. So we did have a second assistant just not another physical person which ruled out Bill as this mystery person.
Naturally, I fiddled with the idea and thought how funny would it be if this assistant were female. Mr. Not-good-with-the-ladies Stanford Pines having to interact and adjust to whatever hijinks that’d bring. Plus it wouldn't hurt for his house to have a woman’s touch (let's be honest, Ford is a slob when it comes to cleaning up after himself and certain shots showed his place was pretty organized. Also who took those pictures of the various findings if it wasn't Fiddleford?). I designed her after Farrah Fawcett and decided she should be on a similar intellectual level as Ford and Fidds but probably in different fields than them such as biology, botany, and astronomical physics. Also, Gravity Falls could use more blondes that aren't the bottle blonde valley girl stereotype. Yes I am blonde. Yes I am biased. I hate that stereotype.
Initially she was supposed to be Wendy’s mom but after a long debate on timelines and seeing Ford’s personality in show, I decided against it. Wendy’s mom would have been roughly in her teens (like Wendy’s age) when Ford did his research. Far too young to even be considered by Ford. So I bumped up her age to her 20′s. That was also when I decided to make her a bit of a mother figure to Shifty. This was before we found out the entire deal with Ford and Shifty’s relationship and I fell in love with baby Shifty in ATOTS. I thought it'd be nice if Ford were more of a father figure and having Addi as a mother would give Shifty a bit more of a back story aside from “I found a thing”. It would also sort of indicate that you don't have to be in a relationship to be good parents.
Of course, this all lead to some issues. One, what happened to Addi before and after the portal? Two, if she were Shifty’s mother, wouldn't she have simply kept him? Three, what would she be like in modern day GF? Then I rewatched Blendin’s Game and the idea for TOA came to mind. It would fill in a lot of gaps while also giving her the chance to interact with present characters.
I named her after my friend’s child and my god daughter Adelynn. Difference is in pronunciation (Adeline Ad-duh-line vs Adelynn Ad-duh-lin). Her last name kinda just came to me. It sounds appropriate and it kinda added a pun on her name (add a line and marks both being references to writing or education).
I had a lot of fun making her and I still enjoy making things about her. I never imagined that people would take to her like they did. It really amazes me. This little oc I made just to fill in some gaps and just for the fun of it suddenly becoming well known was never my intention. I made her for me and I'm happy that people like her as much as I do. Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and support. Mwah!

Puppet AU: During and How to Cut Them Loose
I feel I’ve let you guys sit in pain from my angst for long enough.
Here are a series of events that the Pines will be forced to participate in and may cause them to be rescued as a result. And what I plan to do in order to rescue the Pines you see in my fic. (and what you guys might be able to do, too!)
As of the point that I am writing this, Chapter 12 has yet to be posted. (And it will be posted; I just thought now was a good time as any to let you know what is coming)
To recap: Cipher won in Weirdmageddon. There was no twin swap, there was no memory gun – he just strung them up and tore out their willpower before transforming them into new forms, giving them new powers:
Kitsune for Ford (granting him pyrokinesis in the process, along with increased strength and speed and an alternate fox form to switch to),
Changeling for Stan (based off @notllorstel‘s NeverHuman AU, being forced to eat victims in order to transform into them),
Star Fairy for Mabel (the ability to control the physics of gravity, to summon meteors and black holes),
Nature Sprite for Dipper (control over plants and whether or not they are edible, ability to tame wild creatures that aren’t quite sentient).
Cipher, with his newfound puppets, has spread chaos throughout their world and has also used them as entertainment. *shakes fist at Pyronica*
He has plans to use Ford as his messenger, sending captured Fords to other Ciphers who are still looking for them. Some Fords escape. Some don’t. Either way, Ford comes to gain various derogatory names from his counterparts. Some call him Death. Other names are far worse (Slave and/or some reference to kissing up to Cipher, sometimes).
Stan is used to destroy rebellious cells from the inside. People call him War.
Mabel and Dipper…well, they’re used mostly for general chaos. The previous chapters I’ve written should show that well enough. They are called Famine and Pestilence.
These names are not just there in a single dimension. They are spread all across the Multiverse.
How?
The Fords that are caught and escape; the rumors spread fast with them and with the bounty hunter network that grew with every catch that was made. The Ciphers across the Multiverse and the Henchmaniacs reveled at the fame of the puppets, and the Portal-bound Pines panicked at the mere thought that a Cipher could have won.
And then Cipher got bored with the one dimension. He started reaching out towards other dimensions. He used his puppets to anchor his presence in other dimensions, then broke through when his weirdness caused the dimensional boundaries to weaken. Between dimensions, he continued to use his puppets as he had at first – the bounty hunter network, destroying rebellious cells, and causing general chaos.
The moments when Cipher sends his puppets into other dimensions – when he isn’t physically there to keep an eye on them – is when they can be rescued from Cipher’s control. However, the question is how.
Cipher is using the Pines’ willpower as the “puppet strings” that connect him to them – the Master to his puppets. The trick to getting them away from him is to break that connection. The problem is that the connection is going to be hard to break – it can only be found in the Mindscape, unless Cipher wills it to appear (which would only happen if you’re stuck in Weirdmageddon by then and there’s no chance of rescuing them).
So. How to break those strings?
You get in their heads and sever the connection to Cipher from there, but the Puppets must be ganged up on, not taken by one person – that’s going to make your job much harder, believe me. But doing this only makes their “puppet strings” detach from Cipher and attach to a new master – the one who dove into their respective minds to rescue them.
When you rescue them could affect their recovery time as well – the sooner, the better, obviously, but I’m not just talking about their mental state, as torn apart as it is. Their willpower weakens the longer they’re trapped in that “puppet” state; even if you find a way to return it, there’s no guarantee that they’ll be able to move about of their own free will.
Trapped for too long, and any rescuers who do come will have to live with the fact that they will be forced to give the Pines’ direction (just as Cipher does now) for the rest of their lives.
Now, I have a way that I’m going to rescue the Pines, but it’s going to involve an OC I have worked with for years -- I’m posting one of her fics here now, titled “World Collision,” and I have others on FF under the profile name FourthWallBreaker. If you guys want to find a way to rescue the Pines using characters from other fandoms – or from another Gravity Falls, since Cipher will eventually go after another GF ‘verse just for the heck of it – go ahead! There are alternate timelines to things like this; I just picked one where the rescue happens when Ford has six tails.
Coming up with AUs of AUs isn’t all that big of a deal for me. Especially since there is a very high chance that other Ciphers will mimic this one and do the exact same thing – or something similar – to any Pines they catch.
But there is still trouble that can some -- like when Cipher breaks through to that dimension regardless (the Pines were affected by his Weirdness; he’s still using them as an anchor!) and either expects the Pines to follow his orders...or has already noticed they’ve been ripped from his grasp....
