🎃October is finally here! While we wait for the costume parties and trick-or-treating to begin, we've found a bunch of other fun holidays you can celebrate all October long with your Mia Belle Family. Don't overlook these lesser-known celebrations and honorary occasions, they may just be your little one's new favorite!🗓️
🩰October 1st: World Ballet Day🩰
Break out the tutus and pointy slippers! It's World Ballet Day! First celebrated back in October of 2014, it's become a special day once a year when all the major world ballet companies will stream behind-the-scenes. The main companies that contribute to the event are The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, the San Francisco Ballet, and the Royal Swedish Ballet.
📋October 2nd: Kid's Goal Setting Week📋
No matter the age, setting goals is important. Try asking your kids what things they would like to accomplish for the day, week, and month. Help around the house? Read a new book? Learn a new skill? Make it easy to remember the goals or to mark their progress with posted messages or notes. Reward goals met with positive reinforcement or a special treat. The possibilities are endless!
🩺October 3rd: Child's Health Day👩⚕️
Every child deserves to be their healthiest! Take the day to schedule your little one's next routine checkup. Continue practicing good health by staying active with your children. Go for a walk in the park or see about local events in your area with plenty of space. Don't forget to drink lots of water and take breaks for snacks!
🏫October 5th: World Teacher's Day👩🏫
Where would we be without our wonderful teachers? Dating back to October 1994, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our mentors. Take the day to appreciate your little one's educators or maybe find a way to reach out to your previous teachers as a way to say thanks for all they've done.
☕October 6th: Mad Hatter's Day🎩
We're all mad here! Take the day to express your madder side with a tea party, watch or read Alice in Wonderland tales, or learn the true reasons behind what make a Hatter mad in the first place. It would be a great time to wear our Girls Ruffled Alice In Wonderland Inspired Costume!

Music is one of the universal languages and sparks creativity and passion in everyone, no matter the style of genre. Make today a day to explore different instruments, ways to make music with your voice and hands, or maybe share your favorite songs with one another. This is a great way to encourage an interest in learning an instrument in the future.

Also known as Family Bowling Day, pop in to your local bowling alley to see if they will honor the holiday! Create lasting fun memories to cherish for years to come. Not only are you promoting a healthy activity for your kids, but creating precious quality time. What more could you ask for in a holiday?
👧October 10th: Father-Daughter Day👨👧👧
Honor the special relationship between father and daughter by spending the day strengthening that bond. Play games, practice a skill, share a memory, sport your cutest matching outfits. Whatever you do, just make sure you do it together!
🌍October 11th: Indigenous People's Day🌍
Learn more about the holiday that celebrates Native American peoples cultures and histories. Or, go a step further by exploring the rest of the world's indigenous ways of life. Today is a day to recognize the legacy and impact they have made in the Americas and across the world.
🐈October 16th: Global Cat Day🐈⬛
Did some one say "cats"? Today you can take your love of cats, kittens, and felines to a whole new level! Break out the cat-themed everything! If you are a cat-owner yourself, maybe find ways to treat, pamper, or play your furry family member in a special new way.
🧁October 18th: Chocolate Cupcake Day🧁
October seems to be full of yummy holidays for you to share with your little girl. Like Chocolate cupcake day. This is another fun opportunity to make and eat something fun with your family and friends. Let's hope you don't ruin your appetite!
🦥October 20th: International Sloth Day🦥
Take the day to learn about these strange, slow, furry creatures and their fascinating abilities. Did you know sloths can hold their breath underwater for up to 40 minutes? What other amazing things might you and your little one learn?

🏕️In addition to being Halloween, the 31st marks the founding of the Girl Scouts back in 1860 by Juliette Gordon Low. Learn about all the wonderful lifelong skills and experiences that come with being a Girl Scout and perhaps your little girl may want to become one herself. Scouts honor!

How has your week been? After a turbulent start and cancelled plans, @sarahbrace3 and I decided on an impromptu camping trip for 2 nights. @myrtlefarmholidays has a well equip site, spotless amenities, and spacious pitches. The only downside was being right next to a busy road, but I guess theres not a lot that can be done about that!
