All the jokes about Ken and horses are good but I just wanna say it's such a good parallel to how actual young men get swept into misogyny and the patriarchy.
Like they're told to believe it means men get to be cool and manly and have this power but with that comes extremely rigid commands of what they can be as a man and a cycle of self hatred for never matching those gender roles perfectly. Patriarchy tells men that if they just do exactly what is expected of them, then they get all the "cool stuff" that comes with. That doesn't work though when there's only a small group that actually gets that power, but men will keep trying to fit into those roles in hopes that they can.
In the end there are no horses or the myth men are told, it's just endless cycles of self hatred and ingroup fighting.

Something something Junmo wearing Gicheol's suit and Taeho's watch. Something about Gicheol taking Junmo to his home, his room—a place only Taeho has been to before, while he wears another one of Gicheol's clothing.
(and just Taeho in general tbh *heart eyes*)

idk what's worse coming into a fandom that's already 4 seasons long: the fact that everyone is already bitter and jaded and that pessimism and negativity has seeped into the environment
or that your top/bottom headcanons have become passé

charlynch is dead again (why charlotte's knee why), but i just really love their november 2023 reunion dynamic. i love becky's solemnity as she contemplates letting charlotte back into her life, i love charlotte's bright eyed delighted smile at maybe being forgiven.
like this moment encapsulates it so perfectly. charlotte's so happy to be forgiven, to be told she can still have value in becky's eyes even after everything that's happened. and becky's... not quite ready for that yet.

I just. How are the studios not fucking embarrassed yet? How are they not just wallowing in awareness that they are the baddies? I understand wealth separates a man from his common sense and, uh, soul, but. How are you looking at a bunch of artists who are asking for basically the bare minimum, going “yeah, no, I need my yachts”, and you’re NOT aware how pathetic you look? The biggest loser energy in the world.

It’s June 10th! So here is Port reading the Lusiads, which is basically a fanciful retelling of the first sea voyage to India with roman mythology in the mix, with Venus being the protector of the Portuguese and Bacchus trying to foil them.
And yes, I realise I clearly like water and history coming out of books lol
