#grand mutable cross
Text
a short nct johnny birth chart reading (cross-posted from twitter)!
disclaimer: i do not know him personally, no harm intended, and others may interpret it differently. this is all for fun! please be nice as i don’t know nct super well. please do not repost or steal my work.
now, on to the fun stuff.
my first reaction was just…oh. that’s why. THAT is why he’s like this. the sheer, absolute, utter chaos inside of him. sorry to this man. the best way i can describe him is a cynical dreamer. completely out of pocket. very chill yet extremely uptight about certain things. his entire chart is a walking contradiction. let’s break this down.
Tumblr media
the first thing i will focus on is his aquarius mercury rx in 5H because that is his chart ruler. a…backwards thinker, if you will. he’s that out of the box person who asks the weirdest questions in your biology class about, like, “since it’s theoretically possible, blah blah blah.” ACTUALLY. WHAT IF. MAYBE IF THIS HAPPENED. yeah, he’s that guy. don’t get me wrong! he’s actually a deep thinker, the guy that reads wikipedia because it’s fun and a walking encyclopedia of weird facts you really didn’t need to know about. he’s smart as hell and willing to debate anything, almost to a fault. it’s easy for him to see multiple sides, the cynical side giving way to the fantastical side and vice versa, and if he had harsher placements, i would say he’d make a fantastic lawyer because of this ease. truth is, he would fucking suck because he would let his emotional bias get in the way. he’s also not…serious enough. which i’ll get into later.
sun in aquarius in fifth house! creative, passionate, realistic. sun trine moon, in tune with himself. he knows who he is, though maybe not necessarily what he wants or needs. sun semisquare venus and sun opposite mars—a fighter. context is important, though. fighting against his friends is something he absolutely hates because he views his friendships as his solid foundation, somewhere he can go to let go. he will do everything he can to protect those friendships. he ACTS like he doesn’t give a shit because, hello, aquarius sun and gemini moon—the top two signs of not giving a shit—but the reality is that he does care, thanks to 7H in pisces and 11H in cancer. he’s just emotionally stunted because of that moon square saturn. he’s also a great friend because he’s so easygoing and lax about a lot of things. until you push him to his breaking point. then he will cut you to your core, taking all those little bits of knowledge he’s gathered over the years and turning them into the worst bits of knowledge about you and throwing them back in your face with a direct coldness. but other than that, he’s real chill. thoughts over feelings type of guy.
great friend, not so great boyfriend. he needs to be able to detach completely and emotionally, someone who’s as independent as he is and definitely not someone who’s clingy. he will prioritize his friends and family over romantic relationships any day, any time. he will dm you back with “i think we’d be better off as friends.” he will move on. he is a heartbreaker and does not care because that is not where his priorities lie. he thinks romance is inviting you over to his friend’s house for some beer and a nacho table and wii sports.
the final topic i will discuss is my favorite one: his grand mutable cross.
Tumblr media
grand crosses (or grand squares) are when there’s four squares connected to each other to create a cross or a square in the chart, and they’re typically all in the same mode (cardinal, fixed, mutable). (i say typically because our very own mark lee has two grand crosses, one is fixed and the other is dissociate because of his cancer mercury rx.) but i digress. included in this aspect are his gemini moon 10H, sagittarius jupiter 3H, pisces saturn 6H, and virgo ascendant. so, what the fuck does this mean? to put it simply: chaos. despite all the stable capricorn and aquarius in his chart, this man thrives in disruption. every moment is a moment to live and enjoy. he needs to think, do, and decide for himself—to be free. he excels at the mundane but shines in the unanticipated. he’s good at seeing the small details and the big picture, the reason in the emotion, the halves in the whole, and is willing to take whatever life throws at him with ease because of the way he’s predictable with his unpredictability. restless and always looking to do something, anything to keep himself occupied. however, he tends to worry about meaningless things and ignores or outright avoids the things he needs to confront, hence why it’s hard to push him to his breaking point, which is confrontation. the capricorn in him helps with this to an extent. the tendency to see the absolute best and absolute worst in every situation is another one of his faults; as an example, he can cheer others on but internally be worrying that someone might get injured. he thrives in fun and excitement, constant change. as long as he has somewhere to focus his restless energy, he’s good.
some final notes:
i try to stay away from parents for idol chart readings, but since a parent planet is on the MC, i’ll talk about it. moon conjunct MC: he considers his mother to be the light of his life, literally. places her above everyone else. the midheaven is the highest point on his chart, the part the light shines on the most. he sees her as witty and capable and gets along well with her.
cancer in 11H: so devoted to his friends and his dreams. the basis and roots of his life.
a piece of advice i would give him: not everything has to be a major upheaval. it’s okay to let things go. it’s okay to be selfish sometimes, but the best place for you to be is in service to others. caring for others, especially friends and family, is what will make you happiest. but do not give a piece of yourself to everyone you meet.
ummm that’s it! 🙈 if you have a fan meeting with another member please ask them their birth time i’m always curious i love knowing idols’ charts

2023 Leo Disseminating Moon
Saturday, December 30, 23:51 UT, 24°00’ Leo
The key phrases for the Disseminating lunar phase are “teach, share, communicate;” and “ease up on efforts with our intentions.”
There’s a grand trine in fire signs: Moon/Leo, Mercury Rx and Mars in Sagittarius, Eris Rx ans the North Node in Aries. I foresee a ton of very loud and very dramatic whining about how shitty 2023 was to us personally! Not my idea of how to bid adieu to another calendar year, but hey, whatever floats your boat….
We may also become a little competitive about who had it worse, thanks to Mars. Some people are like that - for them, life is a race to the bottom, and they must be in the lead.
Unrelated: there has begun several weeks’ worth of a big mutable problem. Because of how slowly they move, there’s a long-lived t-square between Neptune/Pisces, Vesta Rx/Gemini, and and about-to-retrograde Juno/Virgo. Turning off and on sexually; finding that nothing is ever perfect enough for us; the ancient “madonna/whore” complex inflicted at women - all possible. We’ll have to reckon with this to February 2024.
The various faster-moving thingies moving through late Sagittarius turn the whole mess into a mutable grand cross: Mercury Rx (and direct) and Mars right now, soon to be joined by Ceres, and (later in January) Venus.
Mutable sign afflictions mean a new situation or challenge is manifesting; it’s our task to meet the challenge before it gets worse. In The Book of Air, astrologer Steven Forrest says that the strengths of the mutable grand cross are adaptability, responsiveness, and flexibility - “the ability to tweak strategies in the face of shifting realities” - that sure sounds like Neptune. There is also “the early recognition of the need to let go, to ‘die’ in some sense of the word, and simply to move on.”
If this configuration is setting you off - important placements between 20° and 29° of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, &/or Pisces - lean hard on that placement’s flexibility and adaptability - and use those signs’ relative lack of sentimentality to recognize where we need to let go and move on.

HOW ON EARTH DID I WRITE A WHOLE ASTROLOGY READING FOR HARRY FRIGGIN' POTTER AND I MISSED THE GRAND CROSS IN HIS DANG CHART???? WHAT IN THE UNHOLY HELL???? FRIGGIN' MUTABLE GRAND CROSS OH MY GOD. HELLO SOURCE OF EXTREME TENSION. HELLO. I MISSED YOU SOMEHOW. IN THE MESS THAT IS THIS BOY'S LIFE.
Ahem.
So. Apologies for screaming. It was that or putting my head through a wall. But anyway. So...do you see the giant red square in the below image?
Tumblr media
THAT is a Grand Cross. And Grand Crosses are...yikes.
Grand Crosses are made up of 2 oppositions and 4 squares. So...basically it's entirely made up of very tense aspects. (You can skip to the section titled "Getting to the Point" to bypass a bunch of technical nonsense.)
Technical Mumbo Jumbo
Oppositions are signs that are in the same polarity, the same modality, but different elements. So...the fixed earth sign and the fixed water sign are in opposition, the cardinal fire sign and the cardinal air sign are in opposition, and so on. On the circle they're opposite each other. You can think of oppositions as being either a tug of war or a balancing act. There is a lot of good potential, yes, but generally it's potential reached after a lot of work. I like to think of oppositions as being too similar and too different at once. Therein likes the tension.
Squares are signs that are ninety degrees apart. Opposite polarities, but the same modality. The mutable air and fire signs will square the mutable water and earth signs, and so on. Generally, you will see the signs in the same polarity having more chemistry and compatibility (i.e. fire & air, earth & water), so it's a somewhat different struggle from an opposition. Prone to conflict, squares.
The Placements
In Harry's chart we see...a lot going on.
Saturn: Virgo at 24 degrees and (rounded up to) 1 minute
Venus: Gemini at 25 degrees and 36 minutes
Moon: Pisces at 29 degrees and 34 minutes
Neptune: Sagittarius at 20 degrees and 9 minutes
I mention the minutes because Harry nearly had a Grand Trine, too, and it took me too long to check the minutes and seconds haha. I should have considering if there was a Grand Trine, it would be barely. Similarly to how the Moon and Neptune are pushing on that 10 degree orb.
The Aspects
Virgo Saturn opposition Pisces Moon (5 degrees out)
Gemini Venus opposition Sagittarius Neptune (5 degrees out)
Virgo Saturn square Gemini Venus (1 degree out)
Virgo Saturn square Sagittarius Neptune (4 degrees out)
Pisces Moon square Gemini Venus (4 degrees out)
Pisces Moon square Sagittarius Neptune (9 degrees out.)
Mutable Signs
All are in the mutable modality. Mutable signs are changeable, malleable, adaptable, flexible. The mutable signs mark the end of a season, and thus: change. Gemini marks the end of spring, Virgo marks the end of summer, Sagittarius marks the end of fall, and Pisces marks the end of winter.
Getting to the Point
Basically...our boy has...challenges.
Face, meet palm.
There are a lot of areas of stress and tension. Grand Crosses are grand challenges for the native to overcome. They can build strong characters, but great character doesn't come without a price.
Looking at the planets involved, we see great sources of stress in his emotions and subconscious (moon), his relationships and interests (Venus), feelings of responsibility and morality (Saturn), and his ideals and dreams (Neptune.)
Think about it. Harry has a great destiny! He has a responsibility to the world (Saturn), and to stand by his principles (Saturn), but it isn't his great dream to play hero (Neptune.) In fact, the Sagittarius Neptune gives a sense of wanting to roam and be free, but he is shackled to his fate.
Then look to the moon and Venus. Difficulty between his emotional needs and his relational needs. Specifically there is a great inner need for love and affection. There is a great emotional and comfort value in being loved. Which is a big ouch on a good day but a bigger ouch when you can see why this might be. He grew up without any love or affection at all. (I will not elaborate because my eyes are already watering.) There is a tendency to jump too quickly into making connections. Which, think about it...while Ron ended up being a great friend, they were joined at the hip pretty much from the get go.
Moon and Neptune squaring is a sense of getting lost in dreams. ("It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.") Pinning too much of an emotional stake on hopes and beliefs. A strong emotional connection to one's ideals. This can indicate unrealistic goals, dreams that stay out of reach, being disenchanted by reality. I can imagine Harry dealt with a lot of this quite young and probably found himself crashing back to earth time and again by those relentless, merciless Dursleys. But there is a very strong, powerful sense of idealism here, not only for the aspects, but the sign placements. Sagittarius is all about philosophy, and Pisces is all about higher power and spirituality. Both are very idealistic signs. Sagittarius searches for wisdom in experience and connection and adventure. Pisces has a deep inner wisdom born of intuition and empathy, and a sense of what is beyond. (Pisces as the oldest sign of the zodiac, closest to the next life, and connect that to Harry as Master of Death.)
Saturn and Venus?? Yikes. This indicates an issue in giving and/or receiving love. (I'm not crying, you're crying.) Blockages in relationships. A need to learn to love oneself and find self worth before getting involved with others, lest they end up in very miserable relationships. This can indicate awkwardness in social scenarios, and a great fear of rejection. There can be a sense of needing to "earn" love and affection. This can also look quite serious, and an inability to let loose and have fun. For Harry, this can indicate earlier life, when he wasn't really allowed to be happy or have fun. Then, later on, while there is probably more room for pleasure at Hogwarts, this is sort of hindered by his sense of duty when it comes to the war.
Moon opposition Saturn...actually, let's do that one last.
Venus opposition Neptune can indicate romantic delusions. A very romantic nature, in love with being in love, a sort of blurry sense of love. Might have imbalanced expectations of relationships; standards too high or too low. Back to that issue of big ideals and disenchantment. This sort of feeds into an ongoing headcanon I have of Harry and how he goes towards the life he thinks he should have and doesn't really question it. And how he might try to replicate the life his parents missed out on, without really fully understanding what it is he actually wants and needs. Think of his awkward "crush" on Cho, and then Ginny (the Lily Replacement.) The Epilogue is more or less what Harry thinks he should aim for, where he and Ginny become James and Lily and live that picture perfect, white picket fence, happily ever after. But his Venus is in Gemini; Gemini is too playful and charming and variable by nature. Harry realistically needs more of a challenge and more intrigue in his romantic life.
Now let's look at the Moon and Saturn. I realized I had to save them for last because it occurred to me...The Moon represents the Mother, and Saturn represents the Father. Moon opposition Saturn.
This aspect indicates fear and rigidity. Trust issues. Difficulty in receiving care from others. You know...which might happen when one was never properly nurtured in their formative years. This can indicate having had "conditions" placed on love (or even basic care) growing up, and how that colors their perception of love. There is a sense of growing up too quickly. And a sense of there being a very fragile inner soul that others don't see for the outer appearance of independence and capability. Might even be a full suppression of those emotional needs. So even Harry might not see just how fragile he really is inside.
Then you pit this very critical, perfectionistic (Virgo) sense of duty and morality (Saturn) against a very whimsical, romantic (Pisces) sense of emotions and comfort (moon.) That is a very hard jab to a very soft place. And that rigid, disciplined Saturn forms the outer shell around that gooey, wounded Moon.
I find this most interesting with the Mother/Father connection. Oppositions are a very challenging, "hard" aspect and often imply an imbalance. And there is much one can learn and grow from with this opposition, however, it's especially hard to find appreciation in this one, when I can't ignore the connection it must have to Lily and James.
Moon as Mother as Lily. Saturn as Father as James. Parents dead, family torn apart, and their loss landed him in the Dursleys' dubious care. And it is their neglect and downright abuse behind that fierce independence, those emotional wounds, that inability to let others care for him. (He has to do it all alone, it's all on him it's his responsibility, etc.)
Then they're all in mutable signs, and mutable signs represent change. Change from one season into the next. One era of life into the next. Rolling with life's punches.
Gemini is playful, charming, curious, variable. Virgo is adaptable, skilled, practical, resourceful. Sagittarius values freedom and adventure and wisdom. Pisces is whimsical and dreamy and looking beyond, into the next life. There is a restless sense to mutable signs, and resourcefulness. Virgo's need to find security through purpose and perfection. Pisces' fear of vulnerability leads to escapism. Sagittarius' yearning to learn and grow by stretching its wings. Gemini's need to try new things and meet new people and need for stimulation.
There is a sense in the mutable Grand Cross that life has beaten one down and put them through the ringer again and again, until the native was molded into someone who can tackle any and every problem. But what happens when there is no challenge left? Restlessness, remember?
And what happens to Harry when the war is won? When there are no more battles to fight?
Anyway yeah hello welcome to my Big Tender Feelings about Harry James Potter, my precious baby angel.
You can read more about Harry's astrology here. And if you're so inclined you can support my nonsense on Ko-fi.

Hello could you do a chart analysis reading for nct dream? They debuted on august 25, 2016 at 9pm.
Sorry this took awhile lol. I've never done one for the group itself, but I gave this a try. I put Seoul for the birth place since SM is located there.
I might come back to change this later
___
NCT Dream Birth Chart Analysis
Tumblr media
August 25th, 2016
9 PM
Seoul, SK
☀️♍️, 🌙♊️, ⬆️♈️
LOTS of Virgo and Mercury energy. Virgo is in Sun (5th house), Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and North Node in the 6th house. A Virgo stellium seeks perfectionism and stability, seeks to be independent and self sufficient.
Mercury Virgo is a domicile placement. Analytical, logical, and observant with an eye for detail. In 6th house, the traits of Virgo are a lot more emphasized as 6th house is ruled by Virgo.
Venus Virgo is in fall. Venus Virgo is a bit detached and may display a cold/flat front. In 6th, Venus wants to help and serve others. A compassionate and kind placement usually.
Jupiter Virgo is in detriment. Jupiter is a generally open minded and understanding planet, a bit carefree as well. Virgos are very critical though and perfectionistic, which goes against Jupiter. Jupiter in 6th wants to do meaningful work
North Node Virgo in 6th house theme centers on service and health, work as well. This placement wants to be more organized and detailed in order to reach goals. Be realistic.
Virgo Sun and Gemini moon is an analytical, detail oriented combo due to the double Mercury energy. Perfectionistic. The two square each other in the chart, implying a push and pull between what the mind wants vs the heart. Maybe Dream wants to do something else, but given they are under a contract and have a set theme and target audience, they can't achieve their actual goals as a group.
Sun in 5th house indicates themes of creativity, children, and fun, all very prominent in their music videos and group. NCT Dream is made up of the younger members (all debuted around 14-16) and their music videos are often quite colorful and experimental, all having the fun and childish vibe to them.
Uranus in 1st adds more to their experimental styles. I've seen people be 50/50 with Dream's style - it's either new and cool or questionable and weird. They're constantly changing though, trying their best to do something eye catching every comeback.
Mars and Saturn in 8th puts a lot of serious focus onto their work and passions, money and possessions. These placements + 6th house stellium indicates being hard working and driven for their career and money. I know it is especially true for Mark and Haechan (iirc there's an article detailing all of the things Haechan has done. His career journey is very impressive, especially at such a young age.)
Moon in 2nd has a need for financial security as it gives them safety and relief. Can be materialistic
Grand Square/Cross between all mutable placements (sun virgo opp neptune pisces, moon gemini opp mars and saturn sagittarius)...Since it's a Mutable Grand Cross, it gives Dream the ability to adapt well and be flexible. The few downsides would be having a lack of focus, a bit of scatterbrained energy.
Aries Rising suits them. They are made up of the youngest NCT members and Aries is considered the "baby" soul of the zodiac since it starts first. Youthful appearance, youthful spirit.
Capricorn MC is a placement of hard work and determination. Dream are still young now, but they are slowly maturing both mentally and physically, eventually fitting into their Capricorn MC vibe. They're already pretty hardworking people; they will likely grow further into their careers and present themselves in a more mature, serious way later.
Overall, I think there's a need to be more organized and detail oriented. To be of service for others...Dream were kids when they debuted, now are young adults, so they're slowly maturing mentally and physucally. Maybe they want to help their audiencs grow in those ways as well. Perhaps there's a message or story in their music videos? I'm not the biggest fan of Dream, so I'm just making a small guess

Grand Cross Aspect - Astrology
From wikipedia:
In astrology, a Grand Cross is said to occur when four planets are all separated from each other by Square aspects (90 degrees apart). A Grand Cross can also be viewed as two oppositions (180 degrees apart) separated from each other by a square. In a Grand Cross, there is one planet in each astrological element (fire, earth, air and water) but all the planets are in signs of the same modality or quality.
Because all the aspects in a Grand Cross are considered difficult aspects, the Grand Cross is seen as a source of extreme tension whereby various aspects of the personality (represented by the planets) are working at cross purposes that serve to nullify each other. This pulls the native in many directions, ultimately leading to indecisiveness and an inability to produce concrete achievements. It is said to take extraordinary effort to overcome the conflicts in a Grand Cross.
An example of a Grand Cross would be with Saturn at 15° Virgo, Uranus at 15° Sagittarius, Neptune at 15° Gemini and Pluto at 15° Pisces. This is a mutable Grand Cross, which is said to be especially difficult with respect to the problem of maintaining focus in communication.

Energy Update: New moon 04 Virgo
Here where I live in Southern New England, there is a long line of severe storms blowing through our area this afternoon. We've already experienced the trifecta of extreme rain, hail, and wind damage and we are on storm No 2 of the day which is supposed to last until around 8pm (it's 3ish now). The sky just dropped so much water on our parched land that it just ran off and downhill.
This is a normal occurrence in my life now, but it also makes me think of the Virgo new moon. Thunderstorms, or supercells as I often hear them called in meteorological circles, are just extreme moments of weather instability coming to a head all at once. This new moon is going to be an extreme moment of astrological instability all coming to a head at once.
This is the weather, we just have to exist in it. (I type as thunder rolls ominously in the background)
Our weekend players are the same old big hitters: the Sun and Moon meeting up in early Virgo square to Mars in Gemini, and Venus in Leo completing a fixed grand cross with Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, The South Node in Scorpio, and Saturn in Aquarius. Mercury, our chart ruler for this lunary event, is unaspected (unless you count a wide opposition to Jupiter) and moving through its pre-retrograde shadow.
All eyes are on Mars in Gemini. And that's fair, he's gonna get up to some shit. Like Gemini do. Though he hasn't entered his shadow yet, this new moon square is going to repeat again when the Sun in Sagittarius opposes retrograde Mercury, and a third time when the Sun in Pisces squares off with Mars in his final passthrough of the sign of the twins.
I don't consider this a bad transit - I think that each of us will have the opportunity to explore the way that we do things from a very wide lens, you'll just have to be open to letting it happen. All of the mutable signs, but maybe Gemini especially, prefer to let the path flow before them.
This is the cosmic right timing to really go down a rabbit's hole or explore in detail a topic that you've been itching to learn, or one with which you would like to deepen your studies. Mutable Mars energy always has a bit of crafter energy to it - this is the cosmic right time to start a long winding creative project. No deadlines here - just all exploration.
Start it now. Tomorrow. Under the energy of the Virgo new moon. Dedicate yourself to fucking around to find out. To not knowing or even needing to know all of the answers. Dedicate yourself to the pure bliss of doing something new.
Yes, Sun square Mars is supposed to be a hard aspect. The energy of mutable squares is (at best) a bendy structure.
Mutable signs understand that sometimes you just have to weather the storms. Our fixed square between retrograde Saturn in Aquarius and retrograde Uranus in Taurus is raging onward, but the mutable signs know how to sidestep it all and just abide. Sometimes you can't fix the world. Sometimes things break and there's no stopping it. Sometimes you just need a thing to keep you inside until the worst of it is over and you can survey the damage.
Sometimes the best thing that you can do is remember to bring your plants inside. And - if you need to - take a shower before the storms start.
Maybe you're not there yet. Maybe you're too "in it". The thing about the mutable signs is that they are as forgiving as they are flexible. Tomorrow is also a great day to take care of yourself - or your space - whatever that means for you.
That may mean just staying inside until the weather passes. Let that be okay, too.
Do you like my work?  I have a few spots open for Mercury Retrograde Transit readings available right now in my KoFi Shop. These will help you to understand specifically how this retrograde cycle will be impacting your natal birth chart. They are $20 and you will receive a 1-2 page .PDF from me. (You can always throw a coin for your local astrologer through that link too to help support my writing.)

Moon transiting Leo to Virgo, Monday, November 6th, brings myriad and contradictory thoughts and emotions to the surface in dramatic intensity and high definition to compete for your attention in the first half of day while the moon in the final degrees of dramatic and creative Leo forms a Grand Cross aspect pattern with Mercury in Scorpio, Saturn in Pisces, and Uranus retrograde in Taurus, as well as a quincunx aspect with Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. After lunch, when the moon enters the mutable discerning and problem-solving Mercury ruled earth sign of Virgo, you will move past the drama and deliberation, and get into the business of doing something by working with what you already have, because the change you seek, or the solution to your problem, is probably going to come from a shift in perspective, adaptation, and a natural evolution and progression from one stage to another - it is the Grand Cross tapping into Saturn (what is already established) and Uranus (change and the future) which is bringing you to a crossroads moment of existential angst as both are being challenged by Mercury (thoughts and plans) in Scorpio - a boundary and values focused all-or-nothing sign. Scorpio energy dominates the day, enhancing determination, power and magnetism, through the interaction of Mercury and Pluto involved in a Grand Trine, two Kite aspect patterns, a Castle, and a Mystic Rectangle, which all tag Venus in Virgo, and Neptune in Pisces - which are in opposition to each other. Integrate the spiritual and the mundane, the joy and the sorrow, the dark and the light, to become whole, to recognize your inherent power, authority, and divinity, and to transform your life or transcend your limitations.

personality of zodiac sign sagittarius
If you were born between November 22 and December 21, you may know you’re a Sagittarius. You may even know that you’re such a Sagittarius. But when you dig deep, what even is a Sagittarius? To help answer that big question, we’ve put together our own zodiac sign cheat sheet to guide you through the basics. Because if anyone needs to know you, it’s you.
Your sun sign: Sagittarius. (But you knew that already.)
What are the Sagittarius moon and rising signs? That depends on the exact time and place you were born. Get those deets and you can basically google it!
What element is Sagittarius? Fire. Fire signs are about energy, action and motivation. They are often quick to get inspired and make for highly effective leaders. Their love runs hot, so wallflowers and cold fishes need not apply (sorry, Pisces, didn’t mean to call you out).
What is a Sagittarian's defining quality? Mutable. This means you tend to be flexible and use your passion and intellect to create connections between people and ideas that normally would not interact. You are the great cosmic networker.
What planet rules Sagittarius? Jupiter. This planet is known as the “great benefit,” and he expands all he touches. Wherever Jupiter travels in your chart, he brings good luck.
What symbolizes Sagittarius? The centaur. Half horse, half archer, your cosmic avatar represents optimism and ambition on a global scale.
What's the best one-word mantra for Sagittarians? “Sugar.” Sagittarians are wise and honest, but they must pair their insights with tact to be truly effective in all of their relationships. (See all the other signs’ one-word mantras.)
What are Sagittarian's best traits? Sagittarians are optimistic, lovers of freedom, hilarious, fair-minded, honest and intellectual. They are spontaneous and fun, usually with a lot of friends, and are perhaps the best conversationalists in the zodiac (maybe tied with Gemini). They tend to inspire the people around them to live their best lives, like a cross between Oprah and Santa Claus. Did we mention they are very, very funny?
What are Sagittarian's worst traits? At their worst, Sagittarians get bored easily and move on, earning them the reputation for being the biggest commitment-phobes in the zodiac. If you want someone to stir the pot and then walk away, call an unevolved Sagittarius. And because they love to pontificate but don’t always do the work, sometimes their grand insights can be a little…unresearched and shallow.
What are the best careers for Sagittarius? Because they tend to be so intellectual, talkative and encouraging, Sagittarians make excellent teachers or professors, broadcast journalists, coaches, writers or hosts.
What are Sagittarians like as a friend? Sagittarians are always down to do something cultural or intellectual, even if it is weird or avant-garde or requires you to travel to the other side of town. They always tell the truth—sometimes without a coat of sugar—but are incredibly open-minded and nonjudgmental. Also, they’ll help a friend burn down an ex’s house.
What are Sagittarians like as parents? The centaur tends to place emphasis on education and probably enjoys the process of going back to school through their children. They tend not to be hierarchical and can relate to their kids on their own terms. Sagittarians also love sports (or activities that can function like sports, like debate or chess) and can be found at every game cheering them on. Their sense of humor is ruthless, and all of their kids will grow up with the skills to endure a good roast.
What are Sagittarians like as partners? Sagittarians love to woo through shared humor, so they need someone who can keep up with them. They are witty and three steps ahead of most people. But while they are confident and charming, they are no egomaniacs, and they love seeing their partners thrive and succeed. Commitment can make them feel claustrophobic, but as long as they have plenty of space to be themselves, they can be incredibly loyal, passionate lovers.
What signs are compatible with a Sagittarius? Gemini and Aries. Sagittarians are wonderous explorers and full of verve and curiosity, so they need to be with someone who can match that energy. The former is super open-minded, inquisitive and full of child-like playfulness, so when a Sag wants to try something new, the twin sign would be down. Aries with their renowned spunk and spontaneity will keep Sagittarius on their toes, which is always welcome by these routine-averse signs.
What are Sagittarian's secret traits? Their unpretentiousness can sometimes mean they get away with not showering more often than people know. They are secretly good at saving money, even though they seem like free spirits without a care for material possessions. Actually, that might be the key to their frugality. And while they can seem a little air-headed and naive when it comes to practical matters, they’re usually whip-smart.

January 31, 2021 – Astrotransits
The Moon travels fast in Virgo, but mid-morning (CST) today she makes a Grand Mutable Cross, opposite Neptune, square the Nodal Axis. It is a turning point that requires you to make adjustments in the areas of life (zodiac houses) occupied by Virgo and Pisces. If they are your chart’s angles, it’s probably a significant change in your life, because the AC, DC, MC and IC are your ‘cardinal’ houses.
The most significant transit February 1st, is the Sun Mars square from Aquarius to Taurus, which agrees with decisive changes as well. Mars is physical action, and the Sun its creative inspiration. Look at your birth chart 12º of the fixed signs, if it triggers an angle, planet or point, then pay attention, be careful to avoid accidents. Being impulsive or too forceful may get you a bruise, a cut, a burn, or in the worst scenario a broken bone. Fractures usually happen in children because they don’t have good control of their body, and may happen to high risk sport players. In my peaceful home life, I got a paper cut. The best is to avoid over exercising, but you can instead tackle a chore that requires lots of effort with a degree of caution.
However, it’s a time when you can be at odds with your father, boss or another male authority figure, because of a stubborn aggressive ego trip of either side. And if you have young children at home, they may become hyperactive or argue with you.
In the world, this ignites more rebellion against authorities, and much questioning of those who govern & have power over social media, news outlets, or those who impose social rules.
The Aquarian energy demands egalitarian participation of all sectors of society in disregard of a central authority. That’s why, the social rebellion manifests as forming collaborative like-minded groups, and people looking to belong to one faction or another.
No one region or country of the world will be spared a profound transformation, a literal breakdown and rebuild, no matter how much those in power do to grip to it. Enough is enough, all human beings have the right to live and thrive. Mother Earth and Nature are also rumbling in anger from the core up, so natural disasters will accompany the Saturn (rock solid reality) Uranus (fracture) friction. Feel free to comment, like, share.

Thoughts on having a fixed grand cross?
Grand Cross Chart Pattern
Occur when four planets are all at a distance of 90 degrees/separated by Square aspects. This commonly displays itself as two oppositions [180 degrees apart] separated from each other by one square. In a Grand Cross, there is one planet in each astrological element: fire [Aries, Leo, Sagittarius] Earth [Taurus Virgo Capricorn], Air [Gemini, Libra, Aquarius] and Water [Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces] but all the planets are in signs of the same modality [Fixed, Mutable, Cardinal] or quality.
Because all the aspects in a Grand Cross are considered difficult aspects [disharmonious], the Grand Cross is seen as a source of extreme tension. These various aspects of the personality tend to work at “cross purposes” of each other. They can have the native feeling like they’re pulled in all kinds of different directions. This leads to indecisiveness and an inability to feel like they’re producing concrete achievements.  They will have to work extra hard to overcome the internal struggles, to integrate the contrasting parts of their personality, and to find balance on the inside to be shrewd and decisive with our decision making.
Grand Cross Modalities
A Grand Mutable Cross
...deals with adaptation and communication. It requires and calls for balance and dignity in the way we speak to ourselves and others. For diplomacy in social representation, and changes that favor everyone and are for the good of the collective.
A Grand Cardinal Cross
...deals with authority and leadership. It requires us to bring harmony and justice to those who run the show. Those in positions of authority and asks for us to be more humanistic in our own positions of power.
A Grand Fixed Cross
...deals with an extreme concentration of immovable and obstinate energy. Security, resources and self-worth. It requires the fair distribution of wealth and resources, and for the tenacity to replace a martyr or victim mentality.

Thoughts Are Not Facts
Monday - January 4, 2021
Tumblr media
Your thoughts can either work for you or against you. Thoughts are bits of energy running around in your head waiting on you to create something with them or dismiss them. And thoughts are NOT facts, but bits of information and data that need perspective, context and vetting in order to determine their usefulness. I present this primer on thoughts as today there are many astrological energies working changing your thoughts. And by the end of this day you will be thinking differently about many things. Today the Sun sits at 14° Capricorn. This is a Gemini/Mercury ruled degree, so we are being asked to discipline (Capricorn) our thoughts. Then there is a Mutable Grand Cross in the skies involving Neptune in Pisces, Moon in Virgo, the Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius, and Venus in Sagittarius. A Mutable Cross "mutates" or alters energies. This Cross is an invitation from God Universe to change your thoughts about things tangible (Moon in Virgo) and intangible (Neptune in Pisces), your old beliefs (South Node in Sag) and even some new ideas (North Node in Gemini). And because Venus is involved in this Cross it will also have you reconsidering your value and worth. Events throughout the day will poke and prod you to evaluate your thoughts and ideas. Give yourself the room to twist and turn, and permission to see things differently than you have before. Because before the day is over Mercury in Capricorn will conjunct Pluto at 24°, officially ending an old idea or thought. So get ready to go back and forth about some longtime thoughts and ideas you've had, and make way for new ones that will give you much more peace and comfort.

===+++===
What a pleasant way to start the New Year, with Mercury stationing direct! What did you learn?
It may not feel like Mercury has gone direct, though. For one thing, it’s still moving very slowly - only on January 8 does it exit this “Storm” period.
For another thing, up in the skies right now there’s a bleeping mutable grand cross: Vesta Rx/Gemini; square Juno/Virgo (soon to station Rx); square Mercury, Mars, and Ceres in Sagittarius; square Neptune/Pisces. Ugh. Especially while Mercury is still a little wobbly, we need to be flexible and versatile - and to recognize when something is over with, and move on.
One aspect will mature before Mercury exits its Storm: on Sunday, January 7, Mercury/Sagittarius will trine Eris Rx/Aries (24°09’). We’re pissed off about something, and expressing the displeasure rather loudly - if we’re lucky, our broadened perspectives will light a figurative fire under our behinds, and motivate us into doing somethinf about it.

Grand Cross (natal/birth chart pattern)
Someone asked me to write about this literally months ago now, here we go !
A Grand Cross is a a major aspect pattern in a birth chart. A major aspect pattern is formed when you have aspects that interact with each other. An aspect is the (mathematical) relationship between two planets in your chart. If you’re unsure of how to find out if you have a grand cross or not, the first step is to look up your birth chart. I would use astro-charts to figure out major aspect patterns because once you type in your information, it lists them and shows you visually as well. The only thing with that website is it will tell you that you have major aspect patterns that include your midheaven, asteroids, your chiron, and other minor planetary bodies which I do not count in major aspect patterns (there are obviously exceptions to every rule, but generally speaking). If you feel unsure and you feel comfortable with me looking up your information for you, I am happy to do that <3
A grand cross looks like a huge square with diagonal lines that perfectly go in each corner of that square. In terms of interpretation the huge square, being made up of 4 square aspects and the diagonal lines being 2 oppositions means that this aspect pattern carries an immense amount of tension. Having tension and “difficult” aspects in a chart is actually a blessing, in my opinion. It means that you will go through difficult experiences but that you will come out of those experiences with incredible gifts that become folded into your personality meaning that you have access to a better and more capable version of yourself. Without tension in your chart, you can become lazy or without purpose. It can feel unfulfilling and actually super depressing (see: people with grand trines). If you have big tension like this in your chart you might feel like the world is breaking you down all the time but you will also find that you always handle the situation (whether gracefully or not, you get the thing done). There are special challenges associated with different variations of grand crosses. If the planets are in cardinal, fixed, or mutable signs you will have challenges based on those.
Cardinal: problems/difficulties more likely to result in energetic/assertive behavior but have exceptional dynamism, might not be able to accomplish goals in the way they want or originally plan
Fixed: may hang on to problems and be exceptionally stubborn resistant to change, would fight personal battles until the bitter ends, might not know how or where to put the energy they have
Mutable: may be very adaptable but exacerbate problems through avoidance, problems with making communication flow well To work on resolving tension from a grand cross, you need to focus in a big way. Focus on the energies you put out into the world and how you receive energy from others. Focus on what holds you back from achieving goals and making things happen. Focus on relationships and why they seem to be going through tension all the time. What are you bringing, what are you taking, what do you build with others ?
What questions or opinions do y’all have abt grand crosses ? What can I be helpful with ? Lmk, I love u ! <3
