don't think about tim during his time at the army at the confessional booth saying "but i don't know how love can be a sin." because the love he had for hawk was so powerful he found the strength to question what he's been taught to believe his whole life and then years later when hawk said "skippy, there's no sin in what you and i just did." but tim didn't reconsider because he was so angry for succumbing to his desires and he knew, after everything that transpired between them, it wasn't really about sinning but about their love never being enough to change their odds.
