Ken with a gn doll!reader love interest
Tumblr media
Reader: gender neutral
/Ken x Doll!Reader/
A/N: Guess who's obsessed lol anyway... This is NOT spoiler free! In fact, this is set AFTER the movie! I gave Ken a redemption arc because I think he'd be willing to better himself so here you go...
Word Count: 1348
How it started:
You were hanging out with Allan at the beach when suddenly Ken approached you, waving and smiling as he spoke: “Hey Allan! Hey (Y/N)! Wanna play volleyball?”
Allan glanced nervously at you before you two agreed, following Ken through the sand.
The game was fun but you were losing, that is until you had the chance to score, jumping up in the air and striking the ball with full force… hitting Ken right in his face.
He dramatically fell back, face covered with his hands while groaning. You quickly ran to him, kneeling on the sand and patting his shoulder. “Ken! Are you okay??”
He revealed his face, slowly blinking while examining you. You worried he was mad... you were new in Barbieland and didn’t want to make any enemies. What if he hated you?
“That… was… AWESOME. How did you learn to plunge like that??” Ken gave you a big smile, and you couldn’t help but reciprocate.
How it went:
You had been hanging out with Ken a lot lately, spending time at the beach or at your Dream House (all dolls had their own house now, including Kens). He even invited you to his Mojo Dojo Casa House (yes he still called it that) to watch some movies, and you gladly accepted.
He was nice to be around, always glad to help with whatever you needed and always excited for your next activity together. He was goofy and made you laugh, which made him feel good about himself.
And because the way to his heart was through his ego, you two became best friends as soon as you started complimenting him. He even admired you back, making you feel all fuzzy inside.
Ken was ridiculously charming, and you felt yourself falling harder with each moment you spent side by side. But, you had to remind yourself you were not Barbie, and he was Ken... He couldn't possibly be interested in you... right?
Besides, you knew he had a lot to learn yet. After the incident with Kendom and the whole patriarchy thing, he started studying sociology and began a journey to better himself, and you were happy to be there to help.
You reminded him of his daily mantras ("I'm kenough") and accompanied him every time he visited the library for more books. Ken cringed while you reminded him about the past. “At least you apologized to Barbie, right?”
“…”
“RIGHT?”
And just like that the two of you were on an adventure to the Real World, for Ken had a very important mission.
You had never been on rollerblades before, so as you arrived at the Real World, you started to wobble. Luckily, Ken caught your hand and continued to hold it, helping you balance. You felt heat rising to your cheeks, blushing at the unexpected touch and intimacy. (Unbeknownst to you, Ken was blushing hard as well, trying not to think much of it. You were just friends, right? This was normal… right?)
You both found Barbie, and you were proud to hear Ken’s apology as he spoke. “I’m… I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything, Barbie. For trying to install patriarchy in Barbieland, for stealing your house, for all of it! You don’t need to accept my apologies, but I just needed you to know that I’m trying to better myself every day, and (Y/N) is helping me with that!” While Ken looked ashamed, Barbara looked shocked.
In the end, she accepted his apologies and smiled at you as you waved your goodbyes.
Ken felt immense relief and happiness now that he took this new step in his self-growth journey. He was so happy in fact, that he felt like holding your hand again. You both looked at each other and smiled, hearts racing and faces blushing.
You were in his Mojo Dojo Casa House, chatting and giggling like teenagers. Ken started asking about you, very interested in everything you had to say. He was fascinated and wanted to know more about you, and soon he caught himself asking more intimate things. “So… do you have a girlfriend? Or… a boyfriend? I mean… I don’t know, are you even into Kens? I mean…” he stuttered as you laughed.
“No, I don’t have a girlfriend or boyfriend… in fact, I never had a significant other before…”
Ken’s blue eyes grew wide, mouth slightly agape as he slid closer to you. “Oh… really?”
“I mean… I’m not a Barbie, not a Ken… not sure I’m even supposed to have someone.” You suddenly grew a little sad at that, being so vulnerable with Ken all of a sudden.
You looked down in shame, but Ken quickly lifted your chin up so you looked at him. His expression was fond, eyes roaming through your face and finally landing on your lips. He grew closer and for a moment you actually thought he would kiss you.
But he didn’t, he stopped and moved back, suddenly a bit confused and anxious. “Ha… I’m… I’m sure you’ll find someone eventually…” he said with an awkward smile.
How it ended:
Ken was desperate when he asked Allan for help. He was so confused, so… eager. He had never felt this way before, not even with Barbie. You were different, you listened to him, inspired him to become a better person, spent your valued time with him and you two had so much fun together! He felt genuinely happy around you, and in the last times you hung around, he felt the deepest urge to kiss you. This desire had been growing the more he tried pushing it away, so he decided to ask for help.
“I mean… (Y/N) is not a Barbie, and I’m Ken! It doesn’t make sense, right?”
Allan looked at him with slight confusion as he responded. “I mean… there are truly no rules, it’s not like there’s a book written somewhere that Kens should only date Barbies.”
Ken was left starstruck because I mean, Allan was right. There are no such rules in Barbieland, that was just something everyone assumed one day. “Thank you, Allan!” He hugged his friend before heading out.
Ken invited you on a beach date night and you happily agreed. You two sat on the sand as you watched the waves, but he only had eyes for you.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” You wondered about the sea and the stars. “Yeah…” he answered, not looking at them.
Slowly, Ken moved his fingers to touch yours, and while turning your head to look at him, you let your hands completely meet.
Your heart beat fast as he smiled that gorgeous smile of his, cheeks rosy and eyes glowing blue as he finally spoke. “(Y/N)… can I ask you something?”
“Of course, Ken.” You smiled in anticipation.
He looked down, doubting himself a bit before looking up again and almost whispering. “Can I kiss you?”
At that moment everything made sense, and you couldn’t help the big smile on your face as you spoke. “Of course!”
He matched your smile and squeezed your hand in excitement before turning away a bit and fist-pumping the air, then turning back with a more collected expression on his face.
Ken stared at your mouth before leaning in, and you leaned as well. Slowly, you met in the middle and finally kissed. Gentle, he grinned against your lips.
The first kiss was quick, but as you stopped and looked into each other’s eyes, he came back crushing onto your mouth, not wanting to be separate anymore. Ken took your face into his hands and you grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.
You both needed to breathe eventually, so you parted. You took the opportunity to ask a very important question. “Ken? Would you…would you like to be my boyfriend?”
Ken gasped, his eyes growing wide and teary as he held your hands in his. “That would be the coolest thing to ever happen to me… yes!”
The two of you hugged tight, and for the first time in forever, everything felt just right.

Chosen for What?
A short tale about chosen ones.
"There it is."
Johann's voice was barely a whisper but in the unnatural silence of the forest it might as well have been a shout. The knight took a step forward, oblivious to the crunch of his footsteps on the dry leaves or the sharp, almost metallic smell of the coming snow.
His focus was entirely upon the spear. It's shaft was made of white wood, polished so smooth he had mistaken it for marble, and the bronze spearhead was shaped like a elegantly stylized shark.
It was presently stuck within the ribcage of an obscenely oversized humanlike skeleton, which was itself entangled in the gnarled roots of a tree the size of a watchtower. The giant's bones were twice the size of a man's. More remarkably, they were made of pitted, rust-flecked iron.
Johann reached forward.
"HOLD!"
Johann froze. Even though the salvation of his people was mere inches away from his outstreched hand, he dared not ignore the voice behind him. He felt the wizard's hand grip him by the shoulder.
"You know it is not meant for you." Aldara said. She squeezed hard enough for Johann to feel it through his mail shirt. He remembered her saying that wizards aged only on the outside. He had no reason to doubt her on that point.
"And who is it for?" Johann hissed under his breath. "That scum?"
The scum in question was already walking toward the spear. Galen VonZent, the cutpurse and murderer. Galen VonZent, the spoiled, cruel son of a merchant house who killed his own father and nearly bought his way to freedom. Galen VonZent, who Alex 'sacrificed himself to save.'
"Galan, take the spear. You're ready." Aldara said, her voice heavy with the import of the moment. When Galan moved to obey, she slowly pulled Johann back away from the spear, step-by-step.
The tall, golden-haired man grabbed the spear with both hands, and began slowly pulling it free of the iron skeleton. To Johann's shock and disgust, the shark-shaped spearhead bent this way and that in a swaying motion, aiding in its release.
"The gods must be insane, or cruel beyond reasoning. If that beast is their chosen one."
"You aren't incorrect." The old woman chuckled. "But why say that now? Why not when we found him?"
"I had faith the gods had chosen well, that he'd grow into the role. But since we saved him from the gallows he has done nothing but confirm that he was right to be there. He has been cruel, selfish, cowardly, and petty at every turn." Johann's voice was a barely subdued growl. "And even if you do not believe me, he murdered Alex."
"I told you to give him a chance." Aldara said. Johann braced to be lectured about some hidden goodness or potential for redemption. "I'm glad you took my advice."
"What? You agree with me?" Johann gritted his teeth. "You should have let me at least try to pull the spear free. If he can do it, I certainly can!"
"Why is a prophecy like a worm on a line?"
"Again with your riddles! I don't know!" Johann barely managed to suppress a shout. "Is that why I am unworthy? A riddle?"
Aldara sighed. She smiled in that way that made Johann think of his grandmother, and his anger faltered. She spoke, clear and gentle. "Do you think the Gods would leave something this important up to chance?"
"Obviously not, that's why the prophecy-"
She squeezed again.
"Tell me, how do you ensure that a chosen hero isn't killed before they can save the world?"
Johann glanced back at Galan. The brute had managed to free the spear halfway, and was taking a self-congratulatory break. "Whisk him away as a child to be raised in safety? Assign a wizard to watch over him? Place other heroes along the path to help him?"
"So many moving parts." The wizard laughed. "The gods can try and play us like puppets, but free will is a wildcat in a burlap sack-"
"-you can take it wherever you want until the sack tears." Johann continued the adage. "And you'll get cut along the way regardless."
"The task gets no easier by adding more cats."
"Then how?" Johann asked, somewhere between sullen and frustrated.
"If you need to make sure only someone who is worthy can take the spear, you make the spear ensure that anyone who takes it-"
The wizard paused, a wide satisfied smile on her face. It was not the smile she had worn when they were joyously feasting with the elf-folk five days into the quest. It was the smile she had worn when she made Vorn the Destroyer's blood turn to water in his veins.
Johann's gaze was thusly occupied when the sound of Galan's sharp, anguished scream ripped through the air.
"-is worthy."
Johann turned slowly. As a knight he had heard enough death rattles and screams to know that he didn't want to witness the cause Galan's banshee-like shriek.
When he finally did turn fully, his gaze did not meet a horrifying eldritch mutilation as he expected. Instead, there stood Galan, holding the spear reverently with both hands.
Though nothing outward had changed, every aspect that Johann had found lacking was now plainly there in the lines of his face and posture of his body: compassion, thoughtfulness, maturity, competence, sincerity... even hope. Everything was there behind those eyes.
Everything except Galan VonZent.

Tavtash leaves such a sour taste in my mouth. Like they could have had durgetash but they were too set on playing a manic pixie dream girl who is super sweet and lovely except that oh yeah she's fucking a mass murderer and a slaver
You know what's really funny to me?
I wrote a 5000 word rant about disliking Tavtash, and I think Tavs in general ruined the story of Baldur's Gate, but then I deleted it. Because people here just want me to fuel their Durgetash/Gortash thirst by making the funnies and the angsties.
They don't care to read things that challenge their viewpoints, offer a strong negative opinion, or encourage them to think critically.
And I know people wouldn't agree with it. Ultimately, that's why I delete a lot of rants. I come here so people can stroke my ego. I don't generally come here to start fights, because that simply bores me.
So it's just comedic to me that I get this anon, right as I deleted that post.
Because I'm glad someone understands.
Like oh, I'm sorry, you're too "nice" to pick the Dark Urge?
But you have no problem blowing a slaver?
You're like the stereotypical 90s love interests who are "nice girls" but also inexplicably dating a dude who knocks a kid in a wheelchair down the stairs. How the fuck can you be "nice" and compassionate, while the dude you're fucking is a sociopathic felon?
Durgetash works for TWO reasons.
Reason 1: They are both fucking awful, and we all know it. Them torturing and ruining each other is a tragic romance with broken teeth, and we enjoy the low moan of a dying animal, tearing itself apart in distress. They start evil, they end evil. Evil horny bastard sex. Tavtash could never be so demented.
Don't jump into bed with Enver Gortash if you intend to keep your hands clean either.
Reason 2: The Dark Urge was given a second chance, even though they didn't deserve it, and took it. They were given the opportunity to fix their mistakes in game. Gortash doesn't get that. The romance is in the tragedy of, he could never be saved. And you cannot save him, even as you save the rest of the world. You grow, and he stays behind.
The romance is in the longing and the yearning for something that is no longer there. The camaraderie of two lonely people...who were separated, and never ever came back together again. It's also about how you were born evil, but chose redemption, while he was born innocent, but chose damnation. Durgetash operates well on this level because it's always equality of opposites. It is character development, mirrored. And it's fascinating to consider.
And what does Tavtash have going on?
It's someone Gortash just met who has something he wants, who may or may not want to kill him but he's desperate enough to throw his eggs in that particular basket. And on Tav's side, it's weird because it's like omg.
I just met him, and he ruined my life, he put a fucking tadpole in my head, and I'm close to becoming a mindless monster without any free will, something he DIRECTLY did to me and my loved ones -
But I still think he's hot.
Hm. ok. that might be amusing if there wasn't a better precursor for a relationship sitting right there beneath you. rotting in Orin's dungeon.
I won't deny, Durgetash might be absolutely nuts - but it will never be as nuts as Tavtash.
But anyway. You didn't hear that from me.
If anyone asks, I looooove Tavtash. I loooooove Tavs. Especially YOUR Tav.

capullo
hmmmmm shooting loads into you bareback was definitely going to come back around to haunt him eventually
hopefully you're on the same wavelength as him: no babies
you get an appointment to terminate, he'll make one for a vasectomy right now right this minute
under no circumstances is he giving up fucking
but this was a close call, and he won't have that again
if you have some stupid baby to look after
then you won't be able to pay as much attention to him
and he should be the most important person in your life
arkham
sure. his robot children were enough for a while but he's past it
someone to carry on his legacy might be nice
an heir to his future empire, and his current...sewer domain
it's a redemption arc, a puzzle to be solved:
how do you raise the perfect child
because god knows he could have been so much more had his parents not been absolutely useless and cruel
he, however, will achieve it certainly
edward nigma, genius, super villain, best dad in the world
gotham
get ready for the most irritating 9 months of your life
because he will learn at least 100 new facts every day
as well as the ones he already knew
and will not stop telling you them, even when they make you a bit nervous or uncomfortable
but it's biological, so you should be prepared
and he'll be there to hold your hand and comfort you
as long as you promise not to let the kid be sporty
he wants a little mini-him to play video games with
and commit arson with too
twojar
ok this is weird but he feels strangely...accomplished? proud?
this is an achievement right? it's normal to feel this good?
a whole little person who will hopefully take after him
someone to scheme with
someone to appreciate his puzzles
a little re-headed minion to come home to that will idolise him
excellent, what a statement of his manhood
plus, there's something about domesticity that might make him seem more wholesome
or at least might trick his adversaries into thinking he's weakened, giving him the perfect opening to brutalise them
young justice
huh, ok he's not as stressed as he thought he might be
but now isn't the best time
he's glad though, because he didn't know there was a right time
so the idea of doing this in the future isn't off the table
but he's so young and so...not pathetic just...
he's not strong or accomplished enough yet in his own goals
maybe in the future when he can stand up to children
then he can consider having one in his own home
dano
uh oh he's crying!
because now he has the chance to give someone the childhood he didn't get to have
he can be a good dad, a super dad
and he'll always have a friend because kids can't leave
until they can walk...but his kid will like him right?
oh the insecurities are mounting, but he's still pleased
and he can get to work right away on planning everything
how are we feeling about puzzle themed names??
telltale
he is way past dad age
if you're not his s/o he'll gladly take on the role of supportive uncle
or grandparent more like
if you are his s/o then get ready to have a serious conversation
because that little monster is not being raised by him
and if you decide to put it up for adoption
god help the poor people who raise another riddler
it really took it out of his parents
unburied
"but i'm baby"
would absolutely throw a fit
he's far too busy with his scheming and riddling to be a dad
not to mention he's not necessarily the nurturing type
unless you want to raise another little psychopath
under any other circumstances cheating would annoy him
but please god let there be a chance this baby isn't his

the lyrics "this is holy, holy" playing over their love scene. aaAAAhhhHH so weak for that kinda thing
simon covering up for sara yet AGAIN with their mom over the whole august thing 😭 I think he's going to forgive her and get over it pretty fast with what he told wille about not wanting august to destroy families
I was really upset abt wille/felice but I'm mostly over it. It is what it is.
I kinda wish there had been more stakes with Marcus? Don't get me wrong, it was funny how Simon was Not really into him, and they had no chemistry whatsoever, but like... what if they did? What if Simon had actually liked him y'know??
I can't stop thinking about the scene where Wille shows up at Simon's house and tells him he would abdicate for him. For them. It's everything, my favorite scene from the season.
Wille puking when he realizes any chance of leaving his role in life behind is gone!!!!!! 😭
* I love that they used another Elias song and that they used it during a love scene. I had been hoping for the use of Revolution during a sex scene but tbh this was even better
* I don’t think he’s gonna forgive her fast and I don’t want him to. What Sara did was beyond fucked up and I want her to have a good, juicy redemption arc, Simon forgiving her right away totally removes all stakes
* I was upset about Wille/Felice too at first but now that I completely understand the thought process behind it and the message that Lisa was trying to convey as she explained in her live (sometimes you try stuff with friends and it doesn’t work and that doesn’t mean it has to totally ruin your friendship) and I absolutely love their classroom conversation and how Felice called Wille out and wille acknowledged his shitty behaviour. I love that it resolved quickly and their friendship recovered. I love how clear it was that Wille was not using Felice to see if he liked girls or not, because that wasn’t the point - he wanted to see it what he felt with Simon could be replicated with someone else and who better than a close friend like Felice, and this just proved to him that no, I can’t feel this way for anyone else, Simon is it for me, and despite that realization, he still decides to let Simon go. I love the på bordet scene and I love Wille yelling at everyone about how stupid and invasive this tradition is. I love how Simon’s face falls as he realizes wille kissed someone else. I love that it lead to petty, jealous Simon; that was a gift. I also love that Simon never took out his jealousy on Felice or directed it towards her. So as much as I hated watching them kiss - it was yucky - I liked what it caused in the story. It basically sets in motion the switch from Wille chasing Simon to the other way around, which was much needed.
* I disagree about Marcus. There were many angles they could have used for this “love triangle” and this is the one they chose; I think it worked brilliantly. Because the point was never about who Simon was going to choose, and ultimately it didn’t matter if Simon really liked Marcus or not; he’s batshit crazy in love with Wille and nothing was gonna change that. The point with Marcus was that the easier option is not always the best or right option. Like yeah, Marcus likes him openly and there’s less drama and it’s chill, but he’s flawed in his own ways. He’s pushy and manipulative and he doesn’t set Simon’s soul on fire like Wille does. Wille makes Simon creative and passionate and a better person; Marcus just made him feel small. The ultimate question was what was Simon willing to sacrifice for love; his priorities needed to be examined and Marcus existed to give him that push, as Lisa said, and Simon ultimately decided fuck it, nothing is certain in life, I just wanna be with Wille. Simon was far too in love with Wille for Marcus to ever have a chance, so I’m honestly glad Simon didn’t feel anything for him.
* Yes, the scene outside Simon’s house is everything, I LOVE that Rosh and Ayub were there. Wille was so brave to speak his truth in front of them, when we know how scared he is of public speaking. He made that risk for Simon. I also love that he kept his distance and literally gave Simon space, and didn’t try to touch him or sway him with anything other than his honest words. “You have to do what’s best for you, Simon.” Things are no longer just on Wille’s terms, as Simon expressed last season. It’s poetic.
* Edvin killer that scene; I genuinely believed he was throwing up, it was so realistic. His performance this season was god-like.

hi! what’s your favorite dbz saga? i’m just curious! i think mine is the cell saga, mainly bc of gohan’s big moment but also because perfect cell had me about to act up LMAO
ohoho i'm SO glad you asked!!!!!
*inhales*
my FAVORITE sagas will always be the saiyan saga and the frieza saga. and that's because if you watch the series from the VERY beginning of the story, OG dragon ball, everything that happens during saiyan arc hits SO MUCH HARDER. in OGDB they establish the strongest earth warriors, all the training they've gone through, and how difficult it was for young goku to defeat all the villains! esp tien and piccolo, who were established as formidable foes! then when saiyan saga comes, we find out the reason kid goku was so OP was because he's a fucking ALIEN WARRIOR & his brother comes and basically solos everyone?! then when mf vegeta and nappa pull up the z fighters stand no chance, they drop one by one, the fighters we thought were the strongest just fucking DIE, and they couldn't just rely on using the dragon balls to bring everyone back because PICCOLO WAS GONE TOO. the stakes were SO MUCH HIGHER and mfs actually took shit seriously!!!
then ofc there's the frieza saga, which (in my humble opinion) is the BEST fight in all of dragon ball except for broly. frieza is also my fave dragon ball villain of all time. and i say that because again, stakes were high, we didn't fucking know if goku could defeat frieza for sure despite all the training, namek was ABOUT TO EXPLODE and these mfs are fighting for their damn lives, lightning exploding around them, magma splashing at their feet, EVERYTHING WAS SO FUCKING INTENSE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN GOKU BECOMES SUPER SAIYAN???? theeee super saiyan legend??? that first transformation was COLD AF & nothing will ever compare to that!!!!
speaking of tranformations, thats one of the reasons i like early DBZ more than late dbz/dbs. no transformations, no colorful hair, no power ups, mfs had to rely on all their training and experience to win and the fights kept you on your toes because you truly did not know how things would play out.
oh and lastly another reason early DBZ rocks is because we get evil vegeta. he's bad af, killing like its nothing, solos young goku (&honestly he wouldve beaten him easily if goku's friends hadnt been there) and is just a ruthless fucking bastard. i'm so in love with him. he could snap my spine and i'd die smiling. redemption arc vegeta is cool too but saiyan/namek arc vegeta has my whole fucking heart.
UGH! i fucking love this show.

My favorite film theory/analysis channel on YouTube has always been a lesser-known biblical-themed channel called Logos Made Flesh. I think I found it because Matt, the creator, did a video on Shawshank Redemption, but it could have been any of his videos since they make the rounds on YouTube's algorithm pretty well for years-old content. One was all it took, I was hooked. He has a take on Fury Road that I honestly think is canon.
LMF hadn't updated for over a year and I was a little concerned but mostly chalked it up to him having a life outside of YouTube. His wife updated the channel today--Matt passed from brain cancer a week ago. He was diagnosed with it November 2021 but hadn't had a chance to talk to the channel about it yet. He was so passionate about his videos that he had put all of his work and time into part 2 of his Cast Away analysis, which ended up being his last video, uploaded today.
I'm still coming to terms with this. Matt was a creator I looked up to. He might be why I got back on YouTube to create the content that I make today. Something about his work really ignited a spark in me to share what speaks to me in movies, and I wish I would have had a chance to tell him that. To share my thoughts and compliments. Just to be in the same world with this person for a little longer.
I'm going to post the Cast Away videos here, parts 1 and 2. Part 2 differs dramatically in style, but I feel like it's more impactful because of that. I don't think you need to see clips of Cast Away to understand what he's trying to explain. He describes his vision so clearly that I think anyone could see it just from listening to his voice.
He was a man who walked outside the cave we were all in, saw the sun, and was overjoyed to share with all of us what he had seen. I wish he would have been here longer but I'm glad he's gone to where he wants to be.

Thoughts on Dabi from MHA
Ehehhehehehehhehehehehhehehe. I am so sorry for how long this got.
Listen I'm mentally ill about Touya Todoroki. When Dabi was first introduced, I immediately needed to know more about him. Why is he horrifically burned? Why is there an air of mystery surrounding him? Why is his quirk somewhat... familiar?
Tumblr media
The answers came, of course. Painfully slowly, but I'm glad because the narrative build up made the reveal more satisfying (it out-trended the 2020 US Presidential election 🤣). But real talk, most Dabi stans knew rather early on before the reveal that he was almost certainly Touya. Some people that became accustomed to Hollywood making twists as unpredictable as possible (to the point it hurts the story more than helps, but that's a topic for another day) thought that the "Dabi Todoroki" twist would be letdown because of how obvious it was.
And first things first: Dabi's identity reveal as Touya Todoroki is NOT a twist. It's just a necessary component of his arc. Every bit of his story was leading up to the reveal. The pieces were just waiting to be assembled by Horikoshi when the time was right. The reveal proved to be not any less impactful.
Okay, so with that aside, Dabi/Touya means a lot to me. Dabi represents the horrific trauma I experienced from a father who put himself first. He perfectly illustrates how even if said father is willing to change for the better, the damage he has inflicted will not just go away and be righted.
Tumblr media
Because I was the oldest child, too. Because I was slowly and painfully shown indifference when it became clear I had physical shortcomings. When it was wrongfully determined I wasn't "good enough". Touya represents the dread, the terror, the despair I experienced because of all the rejection and abuse.
Dabi represents an embittered, suicidal, rage-fueled version of myself that could have easily surfaced and took over if I didn't have a better support system. Dabi represents me truly attempting to form a meaningful relationship with my dad after running away, years later, only to find my own brother being abused in a horribly ironic echo of the past (though my own brother is more like Natsuo than Shouto). Nothing changed. The cycle continues. No amount of love can change that.
Tumblr media
My dad may be a much better person now. Endeavor may have had genuine character development and now seeks redemption. Neither of these statements changes anything. Being a good person now does not take away the awful things you have done in the past. It does not make you entitled to forgiveness. Making strides to be a good person is difficult and admirable, but it should never ever be a tool of absolution.
Tumblr media
Abused kids should never have to forgive their parents out of obligation, no matter how good they are now.
In the end, Touya/Dabi highlights my own struggles. He is almost like a vindication of my pain; how his entire narrative deconstructs Endeavor's redemption arc. I would never, say, murder 30+ people, but the progression of his story makes it easy to understand why he is the way he is presently. Dabi should not be excused of his crimes and deserves to be held accountable, but he is a decidedly tragic character that is a direct result of the failings of Hero society.
I want with everything for Touya to be given another chance. A chance to reconnect with the other members of his family that love him. To see that he is cared for and remembered fondly. To reconnect with Natsuo and see just how broken he was over his "death".
I love Touya so much. I would do anything for him to make it out of this, even if it is behind bars.
Thanks for sending me this ask, Fleur!!!!

Yes I have returned because we'll how can I not.
I fell absolutely in love with the Yunho, As It Was imagine. It was absolutely perfection and I was in tears because of how good it was.
So I bring you another imagine idea. Song inspired of course. This time tho: Better by Monsta X (https://open.spotify.com/track/5l7PVb1ZWJ9hRxVjNGafzB?si=RRasUCoFQHmTVfdoB7N5kQ&utm_source=copy-link)
Now here is the idea:
After years Hongjoong runs into his high school love again. She got a job at KQ as a staff, not knowing he worked there. All these feelings come back to him. He remembers how she was always there. Supporting him, making sure he still took care of himself even while working hard. She was his rock (you ever seen that video where the boys go back through memories and find out Hongjoong once wrote a rap about marriage? Let's say that is about her. I'll try to find the video and send it to you if you'd like!) But back to the story. So he is determined to get her back because he's realized her was all he ever wanted, even now he still has all these feelings for her. She's resistant tho. One Night he's working late at the studio and she comes by to say good bye and that she's heading him. This was his chance (he gets his little one night redemption if you know what I mean 😉)
Maybe for the rest of the imagine it could be about how he does get her back and then maybe like a skip into the future to what their life is like years later and it's from Hongjoongs pov and he's seeing how lucky he is to have gotten her back.
I'm sorry this is so so precise ( I definitely had a dream about this haha)
But yeah the hing is the song is about how things are better with that person and he doesn't them to walk away after them finding their way back to each other, etc.
Anyways:
Take care!
Have your meals!
Drink your water!
Take a deep breath!
I'm proud of you 💚
oohh i totally love this idea 🥺
i'm sorry for not answering this earlier, and it might take a while for me to post because of school but i'll make sure to tag you once it's out 😙
oh and thank you for sending me these inspiring ideas. also i'm glad that you loved the last fic that i wrote for you 💚
i appreciate the sweet messages and reminders too 🌼
make sure to keep yourself healthy and happy as always!~

A couple bits from Phantom Liberty and the game as I take my sweet time for replay and thoughts percolate:
I can't confirm, but I'm pretty sure Reed kills Jacob and Taylor if you manage to keep them alive until he gets to the hideout. You text him hoping they've got their reward, he says "they're taken care of" and we all know what that means. Slider tells you how Reed operates outright, and the Cassells unceremoniously (and pointlessly, they know not a damn thing) get zeroed. I think it was on his own initiative with J and T; Myers is not a good person, but she's far more...sympathetic to the value of random human life...when she has nothing to gain by disregarding it. And she has a certain sense of indebtedness and a vague fondness for the common gonk.
Reed, on the other hand, couldn't care less about people who are not his, and the mission comes before even them. He is very like Takemura, and both men are like who Johnny thought he wanted to be and was- less competently- at the end of his life.
I really like Alex as a character. She has done terrible things and she has deep regrets about them, but she's also learned to live with it. How much of this life she chose isn't clear and in a way her situation isn't different than Songbird's, as she was tricked or talked into working for the FIA after pursuing her passion. Her resilience is different than Songbird's, her determination and bitterness have different flavors, but there's a lot the same there. She wants hers after everything she has been through and she will do what she needs to get it. She has Reed figured out and while she is fond of him, I think she knows the limits of where she can trust him. It has not been an easy way to go through life.
I said earlier that Johnny must have been losing his shit when Songbird shut him up, but what's interesting is he's pretty chill about it when he shows back up, considering. Why? As he says he "Went to the same rave she did." He pities her. He knows better than anyone except Songbird herself just how not okay she is. Yet again, justifying delaying me starting PL until later in the game where Johnny goes from "asshole" to "good man with asshole tendencies". Early game Johnny would have sympathy for her but he's so selfish that his temper would have beat it out, but late game Johnny is, as Rogue comments, "a selfless Johnny Silverhand." She's not being trite, that's who he is now. Johnny's is a redemption arc.
V and Johnny have conferences about the PL situation and I love it. He's got the right sense of things and I think V would agree with him and not dig into him, especially after the Farewell Tour. I'm glad there's derogatory options if you were playing this earlier, though.
Man does he murder his basketball metaphor when you go to meet Reed, though. I think it's not understood how goofy Johnny is. V gets it though and is one of the few people in his entire life who is willing to play along ("is this a plug for the word corpo or do you have a point?") because V tells dumb jokes all the time, too. Most of his life, everyone took even being fun seriously and his anger, ego, and drug-induced mental illness (game might as well be a DARE ad, it runs down drug use so hard) strangled that part of him. But so much of that is irrelevant here in this strange second chance and the only person he can interact with is this goofy merc. I think Johnny would be happy to do shenanigans with V forever if he could by the third act.
I've been running Rogue's gigs alongside the PL stuff and they're...intermittently interesting. I feel some were meant to be fleshed out more mechanically and story-wise but weren't. The one where you get Nance's son's stuff back has a nice moment where Johnny says he remembers the recorded gig and that he had strained his vocal cords so bad he couldn't speak for a week. V: "Must have been nice to hear." Johnny: "What, the gig?" V: "You not speaking for a week." He just glares. It's great banter.
The "kid" stuff from him tones down in late game and in PL especially. I think Johnny starts to see V as his equal more.

The sun had not yet risen, and the sound of the crickets could be heard from outside.
Satoru stood in front of his office, yawned, and threw the key in the door. But to his surprise, he realized it wasn't locked.
"Did I forget to lock it again?" he chuckled to himself and entered the room. Then quickly turned on the light to move to his desk.
"Shiiit, turn off the lights~, I'm trying to sleep."
Upon hearing the sound, Satoru quickly turned his head to the source of it, and suddenly his heart ached like two weeks ago. Y/N was lying on the couch, trying to pull her blanket over her head so that the light wouldn't bother her. She was wearing pink-colored pajamas with a strawberry picture on them, and her messy hair had fallen out on her pale face.
To be honest, Y/N's appearance was messed up, and she didn't seem to have slept properly for the past few nights. Yes, the guilt was there to ensure that she couldn't sleep well.
'I wish you were my sleeping beauty ... No, don't do this to yourself, Satoru, don't think about her, she doesn't care about you.' Satoru repeated in his heart and then deliberately coughed loudly to wake up Y/N.
Hearing a loud noise, she quickly woke up like an electrocuted person and stood up, looking at Satoru with round eyes and swallowing hard.
"What happened to your eyes, Satoru? Why are you wearing a bandage?" She took a step towards him and continued, "Did something happen to you on the mission?" she seemed worried.
Without looking Y/N in the eye, Satoru took a step back and asked in a cold tone, ignoring her question, "What are you doing in this room? How did you get in?"
"Let's go to Shoko's office together, she will take care of your eyes. Don't worry. I'll help you, Satoru." He could feel the sheer goodness in her tone, but no, he wasn't going to melt.
"I don't need your help!" His tone was as cold as the Siberian winds.
Most people never thought that as a human being, Satoru could be harmed too, but Y/N was different from everyone. In her eyes, everyone was vulnerable.
"Everyone needs help... I know you're strong. I'm sorry I made such an offer to you at all." She lowered her head, took a few steps back, and said nothing.
Satoru wanted to ignore her worries, but he couldn't deny it in his heart. He sighed and opened the bandage around his eyes. "I'm not injured. Fighting with glasses was hard for me, so I used a bandage."
Y/N quickly raised her head and looked into his eyes, but Satoru wasn't looking at her. His gaze was fixated on reports on the desk. He knew that he would surrender as soon as he saw her eyes.
"I'm glad nothing bad happened to you," and a faint smile appeared on her lips.
Y/N's smile was the warmest welcome Satoru could receive after two tiring weeks. Still, his heart reminded him again not to repeat the mistake of the past.
"I asked you a question. I said what are you doing here and how did you come here?! I don't like anyone entering my office without permission." The coldness in his tone made her shiver.
She was pressing her fingernails into the flesh of her hand and holding her head down. "Shoko - she told me that-when - you return from the mission, you'll first-come to your room- to deliver-the report quickly-and-leave. That's-why I-broke in and-waited for you-here." She paused for a moment, swallowed, and continued again in a trembling voice, "I was awake-until about-an hour ago, but I -probably-fell asleep. I'm-sorry. I shouldn't have-entered your-office." She didn't raise her head.
Was Satoru Gojo so cruel that he could still treat her like this? No, he was just afraid that Y/N would break his heart again. He feared that Y/N, like Suguru Geto, would see his weaknesses. He was scared to trust and lose a loved one again.
"Why were you waiting for me? If you had something important that couldn't wait until tomorrow, you could have left a message. You didn't have to stay awake or sneak into my office." There was no emotion in his tone. He was like a stone that could break any heart.
"I tried to call you several times, but you were not available." Y/N whispered and clenched her toes. She didn't have to touch Satoru to notice his sadness, and that was what tormented her.
"Yeah, I was overseas, that happens sometimes." He looked at his phone and then continued, "So what was your emergency?"
Y/N raised her head, and she finally met his eyes. His blue eyes now were no different from icebergs that could draw her ships without hesitation. His gaze froze her heart. "I'm sorry I treated you like that two weeks ago, I don't know what happened to me, Satoru ..." she said with stress.
"You don't have to apologize for the words you meant." Satoru took his eyes off her eyes and turned his head to go to his chair. But Y/N was quick to block his way. She held Satoru's hands and prevented him from leaving.
He looked at his hands between Y/N's. 'A perfect fit.'
Y/N's touch was enough to melt the ice around Satoru's heart, and as if he had returned from death, his heart began to beat again. The miracle of her touch. Life.
Oh God, how much he had missed Y/N! Her eyes, her voice, and her touch.
Satoru raised his head and looked into her eyes.
"None of those words were from the bottom of my heart, I can never be cruel to anyone, especially to you." Y/N paused and squeezed Satoru's hands.
'Especially to you.' Her voice echoed in his ear.
"I want all of you to have a happy and long life. I don't know what happened that day, Satoru, I was afraid of losing someone." Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
Y/N hated to show herself weak in front of Satoru. But it didn't matter to her right now. She just wanted to get rid of the sadness she felt in Satoru's heart.
'She is like me.' Satoru thought to himself but couldn't speak. He didn't know what to say to calm her down.
Y/N didn't let go of Satoru's hands and looked at him with teary eyes. "Why don't you call me by my name, Satoru? I know I'm a bad person, I know I'm a half ..."
And before she could finish, Satoru bent down, put his hands on her cheeks, and wiped away her tears. "Didn't I tell you not to talk about yourself like this, Y/N?"
Satoru tucked her hair behind her ears, and his soothing touch finally adorned a smile on her sleepless face with red eyes, puffy cheeks, and messed-up hair. 'God, she is so beautiful!'
As the author, let me tell you, when you see someone beautiful even on their worst day, then you are screwed.
"Does that mean you're no longer angry with me?" She asked in a calm tone.
"I was never angry with you, Y/N." Satoru smiled too.
How could it be so enjoyable for him to call Y/N by her name?
The smile on her lips grew bigger. She took Satoru's hand tighter and said, "Then come with me to my room. I have a surprise. I want to make it up for you." And dragged him behind herself.
Satoru raised his eyebrows. "Oh my God~, someone help me~, Y/N wants to rape me~!" he chuckled.
"Shut up Satoru! people are sleeping!" Y/N put her finger on her lips and motioned for him to be quiet.
"Oooh, Grandma got angry~." He said with a laugh. He had missed teasing her.
Before opening the door to her room, Y/N turned to Satoru and said, "Close your eyes and follow me."
Satoru quickly closed his eyes.
He had never trusted anyone with his eyes closed in his whole life, but Y/N was a murderer that he was willing to put his life in the palms of her hands.
"Tadaaaa, now open your eyes." She said happily.
Satoru opened his eyes and saw that the table was full of cakes and sweets, all bought from his favorite bakery. He looked at the sweets with his mouth open and then at Y/N.
"All mine? How did you know I love this bakery? How did you buy all these sweets?"
"Oh, I had a partner in crime. Megumi told me and came with me to buy these sweets. Please, don't eat all of them in one day. You'll get diabetes." Y/N winked at Satoru.
Satoru frowned. "How did you manage the pastry shop run?"
"I wanted to surprise you, but it seems like your questions are not over! Okay, I can control my cursed energy to the point where people's negative feelings can't affect me." Y/N raised her hands happily.
"This is great newssss Y/N, so let's celebrate your success," he was thrilled, and he quickly put a piece of cheesecake in his mouth with a fork. "Ummmmm, these cakes are even better than sex." He says happily.
"Iyyy Satoru! You always have to ruin everything with your pervert mind!" Y/N took a slice of strawberry cake and placed it on her plate, then she sat on the floor and leaned against her bed.
He took a large slice of cheesecake and sat down a few inches away from her. He wanted to be close to her as possible.
Then Satoru looked at Y/N's pajamas and said: "Did you buy your clothes from that pastry shop too?"
"Haha, Satoru, you're so funny. No, Nobara ordered them online, otherwise, I would have never bought a pink dress in my life." She put a piece of cake in her mouth with a smile.
"You look cute in pink, Y/N," Satoru said with a smile and started eating his cake again.
Talking with Y/N was easy. He didn't have to think much to speak to her. She was like a part of Satoru that he could be comfortable with. She wasn't clingy or pretentious. She was herself, with her sharp edges and soft curves.
"When I was away, did something interesting happen here?" Satoru turned his face to Y/N, leaned his elbow on her bed, and asked.
"Umm, not much. I practiced a lot, I got to know Utahime and Mei. Oh boy, how much you have bothered that poor girl. She has every right to hate you." Y/N laughed and continued: "Mei said that she would buy me clothes for Shoko's birthday, and everyone got surprised that she offered to do it for free." She was talking enthusiastically.
Satoru burst into laughter. "Because no one has ever used the word free and Mei in a sentence. She doesn't do anything for free. Maybe she likes you very much." He winked at Y/N.
"She is beautiful, Satoru, her hair is as white as yours. I think you would look good together." She put another slice in her mouth.
Satoru suddenly coughed and looked at her in surprise. No, she wasn't teasing or testing her; she was just telling her opinion. "She is not my type. I don't like materialistic girls," he smiled and quickly turned his gaze to his cake.
"Anyway, I got to know the second years. I wish Yuta was at school too, I wanted to get to know him. I even had a little training with Maki."
"I know." Satoru said in a low voice.
Y/N's mouth dropped open in surprise. "So I saw you, didn't I? You were the one who was leaning against the tree?" She folded her arms.
"Yeah, I had some time. I wanted to come and check the students." Satoru lied. Checking students, my ass.
If he wanted to be honest, he had to say that I missed you so much that I only needed to see you for a moment. He should have said that I looked for you everywhere in the school to see your smile just for a second.
"What a good Sensei you are! Ammm, and sometimes I visited Yaga too. We had green tea together and I helped him in making his dolls. He is very kind to me actually and we can get along very well." Y/N yawned. It was still dark outside, and the sun had not risen yet.
"Y/N, believe me, you have a thing for old men!" He put a bar of chocolate in his mouth.
"Just shut up, Satoru, and tell me about your mission. Where were you? Did that country had beautiful sceneries? Did they give you a comfortable place when you were on the mission?" She asked with interest.
Satoru was smiling. Y/N's questions and behaviors made him doubt whether she was really a murderer since her point of view on life and the things that were interesting to her were quite different from that of a murderer.
Satoru began to speak.
He wanted to explain all the details of his mission to her. He wanted to be able to tell her that in those two weeks, he hadn't spent a single moment without thinking about her. That being away from her was like hell for him. That Y/N had the power to overthrow him with just one sentence, but he said none of them. They didn't matter now. He was with her, and that was all that mattered.
As Satoru described the curses and softness of the hotel pillows, he suddenly realized that Y/N had fallen asleep with her head resting on the corner of the bed. Her breaths were deep, and her face was calm.
Oh, how he would love to kiss Y/N on the forehead, hug her tightly, and sleep next to her. But Satoru did none of that.
He wasn't yet fully aware of the nature of his feelings for her. He didn't want to make a move until he was sure of himself because she was valuable to him, and he didn't want to jeopardize what they had together.
He took a deep breath and put one hand behind her shoulders and the other behind her knees, lifting her. She was in his arms. He looked at her face with a smile and laid her on the bed. He knew she trusted him. Otherwise, she wouldn't fall asleep next to him without her precious knives.
As he was about to pull the blanket over her, Y/N looked at him sleepily, "You are no longer upset," she smiled wearily.
He squatted near Y/N's bed and said, "No, I'm not, Y/N." He paused and looked into her eyes. "Actually, I'm so happy now." He smiled. He began to straighten his knees and upright as she grabbed the sleeve of his shirt. "Stay at school, Satoru, don't go home ..."
Hearing her words, Satoru's heart filled with warmth. How could a simple sentence have such power?
Before he could answer, Y/N was asleep again.
He lowered his head and whispered: "My home is where you are." He got up and moved towards the door.
He looked at her sleepy face for the last time, memorizing it. Hoping one day her face would be the first thing to see when he would open his eyes.

The King wasted no time. After getting you back, he immediately scheduled the coronation, as he couldn't wait to call you his Queen. The Castle was in a frenzy, the sound little frog feet slapping against the marble floors echoed in every division. Seonghwa refused to have the coronation in the same room where he got married, he didn't want to re-live the awful moment when his wife got stolen from him... So the maids and butlers found new decorations, moved the paintings and transformed another one of the King's dark and cold rooms into a place worthy of a welcoming party.
"Let's do it in the throne room. Place her throne by my right." He had said.
The tradition was for the throne to be moved in front of everyone present, so they could witness the changes and their new reality first hand, but Seonghwa was a little tired of following tradition.
You and him stood in the middle of the throne room, with every single maid and butler running around frantically, trying to get everything done on time. You looked on proudly, enjoying the way it was all coming along.
The excess of red and black was gone, it was now balanced with white and gold, and with the new paintings and lights giving the room a new life it looked like a completely new place. The blinds behind the throne were finally opened, revealing the most beautiful stained glass images. There were four people, who you assumed were Seonghwa's family.
You reminisced the first time you had come to that room, panting and confused, standing in the dark, cold room being judged by the merciless man Seonghwa once was. The contrast was almost unbelievable, but you were glad you had gotten this far.
You felt a pair of arms wrap around your figure and a chin on your shoulder.
"I'll have it replaced. First, just the two of us, and then, once we have our little prince, or princess," he paused, caressing your stomach, where you'd carry your future child "I'll have it replaced once more, with a full picture of our family."
He kissed your cheek and you smiled.
"But Seonghwa, are you sure you wanna take down the picture of your family?" You questioned, feeling honoured yet a little wrong, replacing the original King and Queen.
He stood straight, and his cheerful expression was immediately replaced by one of pain and confusion, remembering all of the memories alongside those people.
"Why not? They have given me nothing but a lifetime of suffering, you have given me nothing but happiness and a chance of redemption. You deserve to be up there, immortalized, as a part of the new Royal family."
"Thank you..."
That was all you could say, as there were no words that could possibly describe how you felt.
One of the maids stole you away from your husband for a second, so you could change from the dirty, ripped-up wedding dress for the new ceremony. She helped you switch to a princess-style dress, all in red silk. The revealing heart-shaped neckline was covered with black lace, that extended all the way to your hands and wrapped around your index finger.
"You look lovely, Miss." The maid said as she fixed your hair.
You thanked her with a small smile and headed towards the throne room. Usually, it would be packed with people, but due to the previous altercation, the only people attending the coronation would be the castle staff, aside from the knights who were assigned to protect the castle during the event.
You carefully sat on the throne, feeling Seonghwa's eyes (or... eye) inspecting you. He leaned over, so he could whisper in your ear.
"You look marvelous in red."
He sat back straight in his throne and smiled at your shy expression. A tall man soon entered the room holding two boxes. He opened one of the boxes and slowly (and carefully) placed the crown on the King's head. It was exaggerated, yet classy and sophisticated like Seonghwa. You could tell it had been specially done for him.
"We shall now begin the coronation of Miss Y/N." The man announced.
He opened the box in front of you, revealing the most beautiful, victorian crown. It was made up of white gold and adorned with the most beautiful red and white stones.
"I hereby declare, by the powers given to me by His majesty Park Seonghwa, the new Queen of Wonderland, Queen Y/N."
The man slowly placed the crown on your head, and it was a perfect fit. He stepped away so the painter could see your smiling faces, as he immortalized the moment on a canvas.
The castle staff smiled and cheered for you, their new Queen.
"Bring her!" The King shouted, and the whole room froze.
The thought on everyone's mind was 'Who's her'.
The heavy doors to the room opened, and a chained woman, dressed in a black cape with her white, disheveled hair showing stepped in, with the help of two guards.
"Unchain her."
The guards obeyed the King, and unchained the woman, who rotated her wrists with a sigh of contentment.
"Finally, what do I owe the honour, Sir?"
The crowd in front of you looked on, petrified. Who the fuck was she?
"Undo the room." Seonghwa commanded.
"Hm there have been some changes, I see." The woman said, her voice cracking mid-sentence.
She looked at you, with her bright purple eyes, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Yes, there have. Now please do as I asked."
"Very well Sir."
The woman removed her black cape, revealing a small, crooked young-looking woman. She lifted her hands in the air, creating a small green fog in her hands, that she aimed at all beings in the room. The people, who were previously humanoid frogs, were turned back into their original form. Tears of happiness formed in everyone's eyes and cries of thankfulness echoed in the room. One maid approached you and knelt by your feet.
"Thank you... Thank you so much!"
You recognized the voice, it was the maid that had thanked you the other day for staying with Seonghwa, and the one that usually helped you dress. You smiled and held her hands.
"No need to kneel around me Miss, thank you for your hard work."
She bowed to you as she walked back to cheer with her peers.
Seonghwa stood up and held out his hand for you to take, and so you followed.
"Iracebeth, follow us. You two," the King said, looking at the two guards who had brought the witch "make sure everyone is gathered at the town center by the time we arrive."
The guards nodded and immediately headed out. Seonghwa took your arm and started walking with you, headed to the town center, you guessed.
You looked behind you to look at the witch, that stared at you with a sinister expression.
"Are you sure it's safe to bring her along, won't she like... curse you? You know, for keeping her locked up?" You whispered.
"Oh, no that won't be an issue."
You tilted your head to the side.
"How come?"
Seonghwa blushed, embarrassed to recall what he had done.
"Well, I tricked her into falling in love with me so I could get her to cast a spell on herself that would only allow her to cast the spells I request her to. I then locked her in the dungeon because I didn't want to deal with her constant crying and blabbering about how I tricked her, that's probably why she's looking at you like..." He glanced over at the witch "... like that."
You hit his arm.
"Park Seonghwa!"
"Ow! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I regret doing it but if I undo it now it could have severe consequences, not only for me but for you too. And we can't have that."
You sighed and nodded. It's true that it was cruel, but you didn't want any consequences headed your way, you'd had enough.
You stopped in front of a black and gold carriage, the one that would take you into town. Seonghwa helped you get on and then sat beside you. The witch rode in front of you, her creepy smile and envious eyes staring into your soul the whole ride. Seonghwa held your hand tightly, also feeling uneasy by her presence.
"We're here, Sir."
Seonghwa took a deep breath. You could tell he was nervous, as all of the people from the Kingdom looked at the carriage, expectantly. You kissed his cheek and held his hand tighter.
"It will be okay." You assured him.
Seonghwa smiled softly and exited the carriage, alongside you and the witch. The expressions of the people once they saw the witch were the same as back in the castle, and they braced for the worst.
The King said nothing, he only turned to the witch and said 'do it'.
Once more, she cast the spell, that supposedly returned them to what they once were, but it didn't go as planned. Some people returned to their original state, but the ones who had turned from animals to humans, not so much... Some had the luck of being completely turned back to who they were, others were left hybrids, mixes of animals and humans. You found Cheshire, still as a human, happily playing with his ears and tail, and Haiga, the Hare, jumping about with his hare feet about the return of his long ears. It didn't take much for those two to be happy. There was a mix of emotions among the crowd, however, some people that had married into families who were previously human, were happy they got some of their old life back and they would still be able to maintain their relationship, others were sad (and mad) that they would never be able to return to whom they once were.
"What happened!?" Seonghwa whisper-yelled to the witch.
"The curse has been cast for far too long, I wasn't able to undo it completely." She explained, ashamed of her own skills.
"People, I apologize," as soon as he spoke those words the commotion calmed down, and everyone seemed shocked. The King? Apologizing? "it seems the curse has gone on for too long and is irreversible in some cases. I ask that whoever has been affected attends the castle tomorrow so I can offer a proper compensation for all of the damages caused, that would be all."

I'm watching Joe's stream and he made a comment about not wanting to be added to stuff and trying to fly under the radar. It made me wonder if maybe Joe came to the hermit craft server because he was running from something. Who knows what he's running from.
Okay, there are two options here. One is my usual immediate answer when asked what Joe is running from, the other is much longer and under the cut. The short version: Vechs. Joe's first few series on YouTube were playing a set of brutal adventure maps called Super Hostile, created by a man named Vechs. I think of him as a trickster demigod who trapped Joe in his web of death traps for the thrill of watching him break, and then became enraged when he solved all the problems in ways that were not intended. Joe left that life behind and is trying his best to find sanctuary on the Hermitcraft server.
Now. Option 2. I usually stop myself from giving answers this long, but my brain really ran away with this one. I hope you don't mind.
First, allow me to set the scene. Consider Joe Hills. Recluse, pacifist, suspicious of authority figures, on the run, he won't say what from. Consider Rendog. Friendly and harmless-seeming, a possible werewolf that doesn't show it often, laughs off most personal questions but hints at a past spent hiding in far reaches of the world to escape pursuit (the Antarctica thing). Consider Iskall. Eye lost in in an incident he won't reveal, former hitman, with all the drive and skill to fit the job... seemingly acquired before he even started.
Now. I don't think Dogcatcher is a title that Joe made up on his own.
Dogcatcher is a thing of his past, an old rank he once wore with pride and then discarded, one that this season he tried to turn into something silly and innocent to help him cope. Joe is not a violent man, but that came about by choice. Hard-won, habit-fighting, redemptive choice.
Joe used to belong to an order of bounty hunters devoted to catching hybrid humans that "should not exist", specially focused on werewolves and other animal hybrids (although they did also deal with the occasional elemental). He was always more of a research and strategy man, but he had his share of field missions. He never got a taste for them, but his superiors didn't want him to get too relaxed. Iskall, on the other hand, took his missions with a driven glee that was almost unnerving, respected and envied by all his peers. His and Joe's paths never crossed more than a brief exchange of information...untill their last night on the job.
Joe had had enough. That last mission had been a step too far. He didn't know why he didn't realize it earlier, but he guessed he'd just been far too immersed in the organization's worldview to see that everything about them was rotten. He had to get out, now, but deserters were not treated with mercy. The only option was to sneak past the guards and run.
He didn't put much hope in his chances, until he ran into Iskall attempting to do the exact same thing. Together, they escaped, parting ways almost as soon as they left the gate and all but forgetting about each other until they met again on Hermitcraft. So far, both of them recognize each other, but neither of them has mentioned it. They are different people now. Best to let the past stay dead.
Ren is good at killing the past. He's been on the run for most of his life - yes, from the very same hunters that Iskall and Joe once joined in the chase. He's had to leave friends not knowing if they would live to see each other again, but he's glad that he has a safe place now. Safe, he thinks. Safe, he reminds himself, every time he walks past Joe or Iskall and his muscles burn with the urge to run. He doesn't recognise them on an individual basis - he never saw the faces of his hunters. He always had his back turned to flee. But he can smell it on those two, see it in their stance, and the hair on the back of his neck prickles whenever he's around them. But they are not the same people they were years ago. They've worked hard to change themselves, and Ren respects that. If there's one thing he knows about more than anyone, it's self transformation.
(I'm curious to see more takes, of course, but those are my two. Hope my ramblings didn't drag on for too long!)

I don't care what the FNDM says, Adam was murdered. I don't just mean by the awful writing around him, I mean by Blake and Yang
To preface this, while I don't like where Adam as a character went, I acknowledge his canonical abusive and stalkerish behavior. He wasn't an "uwu baby" in the show proper. He stalked Blake and attacked her and she and Yang were well within their right to defend themselves.
But–
Having Blake and Yang murder him when he was unarmed and defenseless was extremely dumb. I'm guessing the writers just wanted him dead and gone so they could bury their racist racism plot line along with him, but the scene doesn't work.
Adam didn't have his sword. His aura was broken and he couldn't use his Semblance, so he was entirely defenseless. (nb4 anyone mentions his gun, CRWBY forgot about it too because almost no one in RWBY uses their ranged weapons anymore and Adam didn't even reach for it.)
He ran for the broken blade of Gambol Shroud, and if he had actually managed to grab it, then yeah, I suppose I could see why stabbing him would be a good thing, but if you actually go back and watch the scene, Yang and Blake grab it first and make a point to real back and stab him instead of just leaping away from him.
There was absolutely no reason to literally murder him, because that's what it was. Actions aside, he was unarmed and defenseless and they still attacked, that's no longer self defense.
I'm not saying they needed to give him a redemption arc (because Adams's character had already been slaughtered and CRWBY would be too incompetent to write a compelling redemption arc) but they could have so easily knocked him out, tied him up, and taken him to Atlas. It would have also given the others a chance to react to him, like Qrow and Ruby seeing the man who took Yang's arm, or Weiss seeing the SDC brand on him and fully realizing the extent of her family's evil.
Hell, taking him to Atlas would be good in general since it's the most racist Kingdom and we could've gotten more insight into him and the Faunus as a whole.
I dunno. Just frustrated with the show's wasted potential while also being glad a character I liked is dead so CRWBY can't torture them anymore.
I will always go on about Adam's wasted potential and how his portrayal in the show was just rife with unfortunate implications and downright racist thinking, but there is one thing I will say.
His death was not a murder, in Blake's case.
For the simple reason that, just like Adam was Auraless and had no weapon, so was Blake. While Blake made it clear multiple times that she would let Adam go if he just left her alone, which he rejected, Adam has made it abundantly clear that not only would he never leave Blake be, but that he is very much willing to kill her and anyone around her who stands in his way.
Given the context, the state Blake was in, and what would happen if she didn't stab him, Blake very well could reasonably fear for her life and take Adam out to protect herself. Blake stabbing Adam is not murder, because either she did that or he would kill her. That's self-defense.
The situation gets muddy when Yang gets involved.
Sure, she had no Aura just like Blake and Adam, but Yang was still armed and was not in harm's way. Adam wasn't focusing on her, he was focused on Blake, and Yang still took the other part of Blake's weapon and stabbed him in the back.
There's is reasons that could be had for this. Yang very well could've feared for Blake's life, she didn't know if Blake would get the weapon first or Adam would, so she just moved and grabbed the piece that Adam wasn't paying attention to so that, even if Adam got the other part, she could still stop him and protect Blake.
But Yang's case isn't self-defense. She isn't fearing for her own life, she still had means to take Adam out without the sword because she was still armed. However justified it was, Yang still murdered Adam, and add onto the fact that she is a human and he is a Faunus, we start running into very unfortunate territory, especially when taking Yang's own racism and indifference to Faunus racism in the past.
It's why the whole Adam dying thing should've been Blake's thing only. He was Blake's partner, he was her main villain, she was perfectly justified to stab him because her life was in danger if she didn't. Take Yang out of the equation, and in regards to this whole death, I wouldn't be so angry about it.

my unpopular opinion?
1. Merle: When he would be still alive I think he would grow like Daryl. At least I want it that way 😂
2. I hate the fact that Negan is still alive. They had so many options to kill him in the savior seasons and didn't do it. I'm still convinced that they should have killed him, doesn't matter what Carl said. Negan is ( at least for me, but I accept other opinions in any case) someone, difficult than Rick, Alpha or anybody else. He did stuff just for himself, just look at his harem... I really can't stand him, for many reasons.
3. Leah... yeah I really hate her... not for being with Daryl. Because we all want him happy and I dont mind if it's Carol( my fav), or Conny or someone else. But this woman is just toxic. 10x18 broke my heart, and I nearly cried... she's the devil, selfish, evil and cold as ice. She never loved Daryl, not for a second.
and now everyone can hate me 😂 I don't mind
Tumblr media
Nah, we're not doing hate. This is a safe space because we all have UO's, whether we'll admit to it or not... 😂
Personally, I can see that there was the possibility of a redemption arc with Merle, given more time. Just the way that he died showed that. But it did depend on him disappearing for a while, I think. Like, if he'd never gotten chained to the roof and gone off alone, I feel like neither he or Daryl would've changed, and that would've been sad to see.
We all know I love Negan, so, I mean, I'm happy that they didn't kill him. And in the later seasons where he saves Judith and Lydia and kills Alpha, etc. I definitely understand why they're still keeping him around. But, yeah, it didn't make a lot of sense to me that they didn't kill him during the war with the Saviors. At that point it looked like there was no possibility of redemption for him, and, previously, anyone that had murdered a member of the group had been taken out. (Is that right? I can't think of anyone else that got a second chance...) They certainly didn't have any doubts about killing Alpha, so why wasn't it important to keep her alive? At that point, she was just as likely to become a martyr for her people. The decision was a super weird one.
Leah... Yeah, I don't like her either. I still think it could have been a much better story if they'd given it more time, but I don't believe she loved Daryl. I think she was lonely, and he was there, and he was a bit broken like she was. Like, it kind of made sense to me why they were drawn to each other, but he deserves better, for sure. Plus, she took off and left Dog behind. Who does that?!?!
I'm gonna throw another unpopular opinion out there, and I know this one really will be unpopular. I was kinda glad when Carl died. I didn't rate him as a character. He was reckless and he had this air of superiority which I didn't like. I much prefer Judith, and I'm really happy she's kinda taken his place.
Send me your unpopular opinions and I'll tell you some of mine!

Titans 3x12
SPOILERS AHEAD
READ AT OWN RISK!!!!!!!
Listen LISTEN!!!!!!!
THERE IS JUST SO MUCH TO TALKE ABOUT, MY X'HAL.
First things first:
-Dick Died? Like for real? Usually when I'm attached to characters I cry, but I wasn't convinced enough last episode to believe Dick had "died". But since Gar and Rachel found the Lazarus Pit, I'm not surprised they ended up using it on Dick.
-Can we also talk about how Dick never dies in the comics besides it ever being Damian's fault? There literally has never been any other time unless we counting Justice League Dark: Apokolipse War, but everyone kinda died in that one.
-I think the best thing that came from Dick dying is Gar finally FINALLY transforming into something other than a tiger. I hope in season 4 we can see him trying to shift into other creatures.
-The Drake family. I would watch an entire Kardashian style show of this family, I love them! Tim's parents are beyyyyyyond real with him when it comes to being the next Robin. He has a family that loves him and wants to protect him, and I can understand why they want to keep him from becoming Robin. It wasn't even a few weeks ago the news of Robin #2 was found dead, it isn't a life they see for their son.
-I won't forgive the writers for not making the Lazurus Pit green, you had one job.
-I'm not even going to try and unload Dick's fight for his soul. The Joker, really? Could we have skipped that part and went straight to his redemption?
Okay, its time:
-The entire scene of Dick seeking forgiveness from his father and seeing his younger self. I think I still need time to process this. Brenton has this amazing ability to show such humility through his eyes, and cry on demand, it makes the scene so real.
Especially when we see Mar'i for the first time. I cannot believe I'm actually typing this, but we saw Mar'i Grayson. For the first time ever, and it was also the first time, watching this show, that Dick had some real hope for a future. This man tries so hard to make a family for himself, and he finally has a chance to make that happen. It's not some disoriented hallucination from drugs or Trigon, this was all Dick.
Moving on,
-Rachel and Gar, their little scene together was so wholesome. I really missed seeing them together and the heart to hearts they have.
Yooo the biggest moment today: Connor's betrayal.
-I was not expecting this to happen. Like I was ready for Kom to be going off on this ship, heading to Tamaran, and maybe start to find peace with herself.
(We also lost the entire scene of Kori and Kom talking about their parents decisions too).
-But Connor Connor, my innocent little flower fucking blew that shit up. No joke, if he's the villain next season, that would be lit. The whole cinematography, the scene as a whole was beautiful. The parallels between Connor trying to save Hank earlier this season and seen him in the depths of raging fire, but then here again, but staring away from the destruction, being the cause of it all, damn. No words. And here I thought Kom was going to be the one to hurt Connor, it was the other way around and I'm completely flabbergasted.
-I'm glad we got to see Babs again and actually being herself. Her acting passed out to trick the cop was great. I miss that version of Barbara Gordon. The woman that kicks ass and outsmarts people. Not just Dick's girl.
-I'm also curious as to what Crane wants Babs alive for. What does he have planned for her? Also, why were we just given a glimpse of what Babs was doing while imprisoned. Why did we not know Crane was speaking with her everyday for however long it's been since the Titans tried to turn themselves in?
-I'm angry it took until the third to last episode for Crane to finally be a good villain. He took over the city, got his big bad plan in motion, and is about to blow shit up. Where was this man 10 episodes ago!!!
Overall, great episode. I hope we can keep this momentum up until the finale.
