Exploring the triggers of sudden death during intensive exercise and physical activity
Exploring the triggers of sudden death during intensive exercise and physical activity intensive exercise or physical activity can cause sudden death (rarely), which happens under certain circumstances. One of the most common causes of this is related to cardiac events. Here are some potential reasons behind sudden death during intensive exercise or physical work:
Cardiac Arrhythmias: Cardiac arrhythmia can cause abnormal heartbeat, which can also caused due to vigorous exercise.
Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack): Vigorous exercise (jogging, running, aerobic dancing, jumping rope, single tennis, cycling) can raise the workload of the heart and rupture the plaques in coronary artery patients, which leads to sudden cardiac arrest.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a condition affecting the left ventricle of the heart, which is characterized by the abnormal thickening of the heart muscles. Vigorous exercise can rupture the plaques in the coronary arteries of the cardiac patient and block the heart's blood flow. This leads to sudden cardiac arrest.
Commotio Cordis: It is an extremely rare condition which can happen after a sudden, blunt impact on the chest. This can lead to sudden cardiac arrest in a specific phase of the heart's cycle.
Heat Stroke: Heat stroke can occur in multiple organs, which can cause organ failure (heart failure). Individuals in hot and humid conditions may have the risk of developing heat strokes during their workouts. This can be fatal if it is not treated at the right time.
Electrolyte Imbalance: Prolonged and intensive exercise can lead to significant loss of electrolytes (potassium and sodium). These electrolytes are crucial to maintaining the heart's electrical activity. An imbalance in electrolytes can lead to arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrest.
Unknown or Undiagnosed Heart Conditions: In some cases, individuals may have Unknown or undiagnosed heart conditions that are discovered later only. Congenital heart defects may not show symptoms until death.
Conclusion
We also take note that sudden death due to exercise is extremely low in individuals who are generally healthy and engage in regular physical activity. But, those who have an existing heart problem should be cautious while doing intense exercise. Always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise regimen to ensure safety. It is advised to take proper warm-up sessions and hydration during physical activities. Doing exercise is good for the overall well-being of one's health. But we should take proper precautions, especially for heart patients, to avoid any risk of undesirable events.

World Heart Day: Prevention against Cardiovascular Diseases and How we can prevent it?
World Heart Day is observed and celebrated yearly on September 29 to raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases and how to control them to reduce their global impact. The World Heart Federation, in partnership with the World Health Organization, established the international holiday. This notion was the brainchild of Antoni Bayés de Luna, who served as the World Heart Federation's president from 1997 to 1999. The inaugural annual event was held on September 24, 2000, and until 2011, World Heart Day was commemorated on the final Sunday in September.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death worldwide. Every year, an estimated 17 million individuals die from CVD. The leading causes of these were coronary heart disease or strokes.
A prevalent misperception concerning CVD is that it affects more individuals in industrialised nations, where people rely more on technology and live sedentary lives. However, more than 80% of deaths occur in middle- and low-income countries. Fortunately, the primary causes of cardiovascular disease are changeable factors such as inactivity, smoking, and a poor diet. Cardiovascular diseases significantly impact countries' economic systems since treatment costs
are expensive, and failing to treat the disorders on time leads to lost productivity and protracted absences from work.
Every year, more than 90 countries participate in this international observance. As a result, World Heart Day has proven to be an effective strategy for spreading CVD information.
The high level of government and organisation involvement is especially critical for developing countries, which are significantly affected by chronic diseases.
Prevention is better than cure!
When it comes to one's health, particularly heart health, the saying "A stitch in time saves nine" is appropriate.
A few individuals tend to avoid routine health check-ups. When your car needs regular maintenance, how can it not apply to something even more complex, such as the human body, particularly the heart? Consider this: the heart beats approximately 100,000 times daily and about 35 million times yearly. The human heart beats more than 2.5 billion times in a lifetime! This emphasises the significance of regular check-ups.
In addition to frequent check-ups, it is critical to maintaining a structured, clean, and alert lifestyle. Mild to moderate exercise for 30 minutes five times per week is advised. Avoid sitting for a long time; individuals who work at a desk must take frequent, short breaks. Eating properly is essential to the greatest extent feasible; avoid processed foods, sweets, oils, and animal fat-based foods. It is also critical to manage stress and get at least seven hours of quality sleep daily. Tobacco-based goods put people at an increased risk of heart disease, which should be avoided.
Those with co-morbidities such as hypertension (blood pressure), high cholesterol, and diabetes should be extra cautious regarding heart-related risks.
How is Child Help Foundation helping?
Congenital heart defects are a significant cause of the decline in the infant mortality rate. Children suffer a lot because of heart defects that are either terminal or diagnosed way later in life. Child Help Foundation, to help save the lives of these children, provides emergency medical support to underprivileged children to protect them from the clutches of heart ailments and terminal illnesses.

This past weekend I was lucky enough to meet Hikazio (Touchstarved's business dev<3)
She told me that the developers share fanart in their discord server, and seeing all the love and affection that fans have for the game helps to motivate them and give them energy 💕it's really amazing to think that they've possibly seen so many of the beautiful fanart pieces that I've seen myself!
She was SO nice and I'm really grateful she took the time to talk with me for a little while ^.^

#sars cov 2#covid 19#i've interacted with 4 different friends/acquaintances in the past month alone who have all been hospitalised after having a stroke#(and in one case multiple strokes)#one who i visited in hospital over the weekend had a (unmasked) nurse coughing up a lung in her room 👍#and one of them who had to undergo surgery also had to be moved to a different hospital#bc the ward they were keeping him in was full of confirmed covid patients 👍👍#idk how many times it needs to be said before it gets through people's heads but VACCINES ARE NOT ENOUGH#and encouraging ppl to rely solely on them when there are already plans to jack up the prices so you have to KEEP PAYING for boosters#for an ONGOING mass-disabling event is so laughably unrealistic and absurd and flat-out demonic#you need to mitigate the actual spread of covid by WEARING A MASK + fighting for CLEAN AIR/proper ventilation in public spaces!!!!!!#ppl are so eager to forget the whole 'break the chain of transmission' thing and how effective masking is and so this is where we're at#'i got infected and infected other ppl who might die or become permanently disabled but it's no big deal bc no one else wears a mask#so if /i/ didn't infect them someone else would have anyway so it's not my fault and really its got nothing to do with me and my choices'#if everyone is responsible then no one is responsible - that's how it works right?#it's no wonder some ppl go rabid at even the sight of someone wearing a mask and minding their own business#ppl seeking treatment for unrelated conditions/illnesses and then dying from covid caught in hospitals#due to lack of npis/basic mitigation measures - no regulations no accountability#we truly live in a hell (''new normal'') of our own making#anyway none of this is new news at all i mostly thought it might be good to share the info graphic abt signs of stroke#covid has been given free reign and chances are increasing as to how likely you'll encounter it happening to someone you know at some point#also heart attacks and pots and alzheimer's etc etc etc

So I've always had this head canon about how Wednesday has this reverse Morticia eyes effect (from Addams Family Values) where, instead of there being light shined dramatically over her eyes, Wednesday's face completely darkens to a very unnatural degree whenever she's feeling particularly homicidal! I wrote a bit where Yoko tried to test it out by shining a flashlight directly into Wednesday's face. Needless to say it did not go well haha. But yeh I'm adding this to my ding dang fic when I finally get around to it lol
The famous Morticia eyes from the movies:
