#This is mainly about Noé Archiviste. But also I will not forget what some people did to Simon Petrikov either when I was watching f&c #I’m so desperate for drawings of them. But for the love of God，is it that difficult? Somehow every other hexadecimal of their #Character design is exactly on model other than their skin. Just. . #OH YEAH I FORGOT KAEYA. FFS. Somehow it’s always the K**luc-ers that always do it. Which makes sense because they disregard his entire char #And with the new influx of atla fans people have been whitewashing Katara too! And I mean drawings of the original show too #probably delete later #And no one seems to have any problems with it? Especially if it’s sexualised art *talking more about Kaeya & Noé here. #People who whitewash the few (and when I say few I literally mean 5/82 playable characters) darker genshin characters. Actually fuck off #If I see ‘it’s just my art style’ or ‘it’s just the lighting’ *every other colour than the skin hasn’t been lightened in the slightest* #One more time-i’m going to explode #Oh and while I’m on this topic! Fuck Bochum for whitewashing literally the entire starlight express cast! Electra being the first ever #non binary character in musical theatre while also being played by black actors. And then Bochum happened. #When was the last time Pearl or Rusty had actors who weren’t white? Literally the last character who hasn’t been replaced is Momma/Poppa. #And being black is so integral to their character and music. Hello? Test… uh. 1, 2, 3… Right, so.

[DEEP BREATH]

I’m Sasha James. I work for the Magnus Institute, London, an organisation dedicated to academic research into the paranormal. The head of the Institute, Gertrude Robinson, has employed me to replace the previous Head Archivist, Elias Bouchard, who recently quit the position.

I have been working in academia for a decade now, and am familiar with most of the artefacts and research. Some investigations are, admittedly, dead ends, but some appear to be genuine cases; however, when an investigation has gone as far as it can, it is transferred to the Archives. That’s us, me. 

So, the Institute was founded in 1818, and The Archive contains close to 200 years of case files. The Institute may have placed a higher emphasis on maintaining a pristine academic image rather than delving into the task of managing statements or recent experiences. We have a beautiful library but a mess of an archive. This isn’t necessarily a problem – I, or we, can deal with that. Digitalising and modern filling is easy, but, Elias Bouchard seemed to not prioritize that. 

It is going to take me a while to organise this mess; however, I am not alone. I’ve two- or well, three, researchers to assist me. I’ve worked with them in research and have no doubts with their credentials. Alongside me are Jonathan Sims, Martin Blackwood and, well, also, Timothy Stoker — they will do some supplementary research on details that may be missing.

I want to digitise the files as much as possible and record audio versions, but I think it will be on a tape recorder for now. I tried to record on my laptop and, it ended up… Distorted.

Thousands of files and loose papers clutter this space, with most notes appearing incoherent and unmarked boxes. It appears that some items are dated, but all the marking and organisation have been done manually, and, of course, without any digital or audio versions. I think my laptop might be the first computer here. It appears that little of the actual investigations have been stored in the Archives, so most of the files are the statements themselves.

I’ll try to present these as clear as I can at the end of each statement, but I can not, unfortunately, promise an order with the dates, or theme of the statements. I’m sorry to any researcher attempting to use these files for their own investigations.

I think that covers the new managements, and excuses the state of this place. Furthermore, I’ll try my best, but I don’t think it can get much worse. We have to begin somewhere, right?

The Collector: Yeah! I kept them on me because I would use it to embarrass them. I got the pictures from each of my other siblings.

The Collector: This is a picture of my sister, Coordinator. She used to bite and chew things. Charmer used to tell me about how apparently she used to chew through all the teething toys Caretaker gave her.

The Collector: This is a picture of my brother Charmer as a baby being held by the Coordinator when she was a toddler. Renny thought it would be cute to have a picture of them together but Coori's face is so funny! She looks like she wants to leave him on a desolate moon. Coori told me Char-Char spent the first 1000 years always sticking her tongue out.

The Collector: This is from right after Curie and Carti were born. Renny was only expecting one baby so Curie had to wear xyr hat until xe could make an outfit for her. They wouldn't smile unless they were close to each other. Carti also hated being held by anyone but Caretaker.

hello! before i start blabbing, i wanna say i enjoy all your writing and really appreciate the time you put into it! (it's crazy tbh, i'd never have the patience/creativity for it,, especially with some of the oddly specific stuff you've been able to answer/write for so well lol)

but if you're still cool with writing for vnc, could I request a noe x male or gender neutral reader who's been sheltered/isolated (like noe used to be when he was younger) and is having a hard time socially/mentally? if that's too vague or you'd rather write something happier, i'd love to see noe and/or vanitas with a hyper-affectionate reader who kinda wants to spoil them lol

Noé considers himself a fairly learned man of the world now. He’s not, but let’s just let him think that. It makes him so happy.

But he remembers what it was like when he first came to Paris, or the Professors manor. All the new sights, smells, sounds. It can be overwhelming.

He doesn’t ask the specifics of why they were so sheltered. Nor does he dare use his ability on them to find out without their consent.

Noé assumes that they will tell him in their own time. Or they won’t. And that’s perfectly fine too.

Acts as their tour guide around the city, with poor results.

Besides his innate horrible sense of direction, Noé usually has no idea what he’s talking about. Much to Vanitas’s annoyance as he follows behind and corrects Noé, so they don’t give them the wrong information.

He is helpful though in telling them all the things he wished someone had told him. As well as being supportive.

Being isolated can be very, well, isolating. And even when you’re not there anymore you can still feel cut off from everyone. Like you’re so far behind you’ll never catch up.

Noé doesn’t want them to feel that way, so he’ll always be the one person there with them. So, they don’t feel alone.
