based on your asks responses & characterization of yuuta this is what i’ve gathered — yuuta is like that one high school senior who looked at the new coming freshman’s & just adopted them on the spot. there’s no out. now his friends sees the kid & adopted them too. it’s a family now. a very young, close in age family. (i was yuuta in this situation 😔 i was use to be megumi in this situation but i carried the tradition out. as i should. high school & middle school was wild.)
YUUJI THOUGH. we will probably never see him in your sea glass garden au but your asks is killing me. like his one sided beef with yuuta? he’s just like me fr. i too would fight over megumi if it comes down to it.
i just know yuuji thought that yuuta & megumi was a thing at first cause of the whole “his boy thing”. i know he screamed into a pillow about it. i know he went to gojo to ask for permission to court megumi & gojo was flabbergasted at such a medieval act so he had yuuji do the dumbest shit to get his blessing (ha).
i just know nanami is sighing at the idea of his son yuuji being a jealous little brat because of his other son yuuta. i just know yuuta was so confused until he witnessed yuuji & megumi awkward ass flirting. i know he acts like a little shit to get on yuuji (& sukuna) nerves.
you know what. this is my jujutsu kaisen. this is my sorcery fight. gege who? i only know you. PLS TAKE THE PEN FROM GEGE.
Yuuta is absolutely that senior who adopted that new student and made a little family. That is His Kohai now okay megumi is their collectively raised flour sack baby and they will kill for him.
Yuuji came back to life finally met the second years had just leveled up with his cursed energy and gained a new dad got his old friends back he was so so ready to go live his best life and then his new self appointed brother opened his mouth and started rhapsodizing about some impossibly beautiful and perfect man named okkotsu yuuta and yuuji is absolutely whacked in the face a la rubber squeaky hammer that there’s some gorgeous son of a bitch out there already living his best life.
His death sentence was overturned. He’s so powerful that he can save everyone if he wants. He is the legally adopted child of Nanami Kento. The curse attached to him 1) actually liked him and 2) moved the fuck on which some people (Sukuna) could take a few notes on.
Fushiguro Megumi is his boy.
This could not have devastated him more thoroughly. Even his newly acquired self appointed brother thinks okkotsu yuuta is the perfect man, which he manages to express at length in between warnings from the second years that Yuuta’s going to fly back from Africa purely for the sake of kicking his fucking ass for touching His Boy, which yuuji simply cannot handle.
Yuuji lowkey had a new lease on life and thought “hey! Fushiguro tried to kill someone with an elephant for me! Maybe I have a shot and he’ll let me hold his hand!” and then there’s god’s perfect man off in Africa who’s enticing megumi away from movie marathons with his fucking FaceTime calls right when yuujis almost hyped himself up enough to try the yawning arm stretch thing.
He spends at least three weeks trying to figure out if Megumi’s His Boy because they’re in a long distance relationship and it only ends because maki starts finding it more annoying than funny and establishes that it is not in fact a romantic arrangement. She thinks. (Okay it’s still kind of funny.)
Yuuji resorted to a terrible wikihow on how to get someone to date you and it insisted “get their parents approval” was his in and gojo could NOT have been more of an asshole about it. Nanami had to intervene to get it to stop. He is very tired and very confused. Why are you so upset about okkotsu he’s a lovely young man why is this making you more upset
Of course if yuuji ever found out that megumi became Yuuta’s boy after Yuuta personally restarted his heart he’d instantly understand why everyone acts like Yuuta’s the best thing since sliced bread. He is that amazing.
Yuuta and Megumi are completely oblivious to all of this.
Takumi-kun Series 6: Nagai Nagai Monogatari no Hajimari no Asa | Official Trailer
Japanese Movie - 2023
~~ Adapted from the novel series "Takumi-kun Series" (タクミくんシリーズ) by Gotoh Shinobu (ごとうしのぶ )
Okay I feel like I should revisit all the previous five movies and GIF them now. This is a remake of the first one, which holds a special place in my heart. But very interested to see because of how far Japanese BL’s have evolved since way back in 2007.
People recommend A Whisker Away like 'Oh, it's a cute romance movie about a girl who can turn into a cat :D' and they don't tell you about how it irreversibly changes you as a person.
In an attempt to fit in and finally embrace the teenage social life, Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) decides to help Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik) out by hooking up the school's bad boy, Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), with Bianca's older sister, Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles). For five hundred dollars, Patrick must date Kat so Bianca can be with Cameron. Will it work or is it too good to be true?
I've heard about this movie, and apparently it's one of those that you need to see before you die, so I thought, why not?
It's the typical high school movie, with drinking, lots of teenagers making out, drama, and the stress that is high school itself. Heath and Julia portray the enemies to lovers couple, at each other's throats 90% of the time. It's also worth mentioning that this a modern retelling of Shakespeare's The Taming Of The Shrew (and two of the characters in the play, Bianca and Katherine, are also in this movie, too! Kat is just a shortened form of Katherine, although Kat Stratford's full name is Katarina)
It's funny; it's an interesting plot also involving fake dating, which is a trope that's not seen too much in romance movies these days. Most tropes are enemies to lovers, or the good girl with the bad boy (classic).
There's several one liners, mainly said by Kat, and some notable iconic scenes, one involving a Notorious B.I.G song. And I'm sure everyone knows the line, 'Not even a little bit, not even at all'.
I would watch this if you don't want to think too much, as the plot is easy to understand, and it's also relatble to some people, especially in high school, when relationships are all the norm. Some people, like Bianca, just want somebody to date, because everyone else seems to be dating someone.
But just a lesson: You don't have to date someone because everyone else is. It's okay to be single, as long as you are happy with yourself either way.
We also see a young Joseph Gordon Levitt, who hasn't aged. He plays the adorable guy with a crush on a girl, who just wants to be with her. Heath Ledger's character is easy to hate, but there are moments where you like him. Julia Stiles's Kat is very easy to hate, right from the start, but over the course of the film, her softer side shown, mainly to Patrick.
I would rewatch this film, given the chance. It's relatable, funny, iconic, and worth the hype, even inspiring the song, '10 Things I Hate About You'.
Am I the only one here that wants to play instruments for two reasons?
1 serenades for s.o.
2 annoy (in an affectionate way) said s.o. with silly music outta context
For example: she's immersed in doin stuff n all of sudden I'm appearing right beside her playing timber by Kesha n pitbull with a saxophone or trumpet
But also sing her can't help falling in love with you with my guitar
-💫
Lmao love the juxtaposition of your reasons
Fair enough!! It sounds like it’d be really cute and fun if you’re into that sort of thing :)!!!
I don’t think I have the patience for serenading or listening to a dedicated serenade though if I’m being honest so idk if that would be my thing😅
Maybe it’s a bit of a surprise considering the nature of this blog but tbh I get a bit uncomfortable with super intimate moments or just times when someone pays too much attention to me or does something for me so trying to imagine a prolonged serenade where there’s all the eye contact and the different things to pay attention to and how I’d have to be careful of my reaction and how to phrase it to make my appreciation actually come across right idk it sounds so stressful to me😓
This movie actually made me think about who the DUFF was in my high school friend group (spoiler, I think it may have been me). See, the thing is, even though this is a movie, the DUFF is definitely a real thing. Even if a group isn’t doing it on purpose (like Bianca’s friends weren’t), there is still a DUFF in every friend group. And they don’t actually have to be fat or ugly; they just have to be less popular. I like this movie because Wesley (the male lead) never insinuated that Bianca was less worthy than her more attractive friends were, nor did her friends feel that way or say anything to that effect. This is a good movie; I’ve already seen it more than once, and I’d watch it again.
Sex/nudity: 4/10 (kissing, a lot of sexual references and dialogue, sexual comments and jokes, drawings and mentions of genitals, both genders shirtless)
Language: 4/10 (one f-word and pretty much as much language as they could shove into a PG-13 movie and a lot of it)
Fresh out of college, seven friends navigate the intimidating, freeing, and sexy world of being an adult, and life after post secondary. But not without a few heartbreaks, bumps, and mishaps along the way.
This film features a few members of the Brat Pack, some of which you'll know from The Breakfast Club in my last post. These members in this are Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, and Judd Nelson. (There's a few more that I'm missing, but I'm referring to St. Elmo's Fire, specifically)
Young adults can definitely relate to this movie, even though it's very dated. The struggles of being out of high school or college, and trying to figure out who you are, and what you want, are topics covered relentlessly in this film. But they also show the more exciting side of being an adult, such as going out clubbing, and drinking alcohol (legally and responsibly, I hope). But it also emphasizes that it's okay if you're lost in life, and don't know what you want to do.
Friendships are also shown here, another thing the movie touches on. The friendships you have are important, and to keep the friends that make you a better person and allow you to grow. There's also one sided pining as well.
This isn't really a film to watch if you're still in high school, for example. Maybe not until grade ten, but eleven and twelfth, sure. It just wouldn't be understood too well at that point. But I feel like, in a way, everyone can relate to this film, not knowing what you want to do in life, and feeling like you're lost.
The plot is good, although Emilio Estevez's character Kirby Keager is kind of extreme. He's literally obsessed with a girl who barely has any idea who he is, and tries to get with her. Demi Moore's Jules has it all-the nice apartment, the good job, the parties- and is also a very sweet and sassy friend. Mare Winningham's Wendy Beamish is a wealthy girl, but also in love with Billy. Andrew McCarthy plays Kevin Dolenz, a writer for a newspaper who can be kind of withdrawn and sullen. Rob Lowe plays Billy Hicks, a husband and father, who can't quite break away from college life yet. Ally Sheedy is Leslie Hunter, who is an architect, and Judd Nelson plays Alex Newbury, who is pursuing a career in politics.
Despite their mishaps, they all get along and reconcile when it's needed. It's a heartfelt, tough, and funny movie. I feel like you would watch this on a rainy day, with nothing to do, it has that vibe to it.
