-first off, he thinks you're super hot. you're gorgeous AND you can fight, giving HIM a run for his money? ideal partner. you'll find him by the side of the ring, eyes glued on you at all times. nothing can divert his attention; you're his sole focus. having his eyes on you is addicting and thrilling, and often motivating - otis likes to reward you for your performance after.

-he thinks what you do is super interesting, always asking if he can watch or help you train. sparring with otis will lead to making out though i have to warn you. he's strong - but you're stronger, and craftier with tricks he's hopeful you'll teach him. the whole family loves you, he's found the best person to bring home to them! you fit right in with the fireflys and their rough lifestyle, and you're definitely getting pestered with questions every time you have dinner with otis' family.

-if you get injured during a fight, for obvious reasons otis cannot take you to a doctor, but mama firefly is used to taking care of wounds sustained by her family (which you're now a part of, lucky you!). otis himself can stitch and disinfect pretty well. you're forever fixing each other up, a relationship built on mutual care and trust. for two people so strong, the only time you're able to be vulnerable is when you're with each other.

-otis will definitely be keeping a watchful eye if any other fighter seems to be constantly going for you. other people are allowed to appreciate your talent, but only otis can love you like he does. that asshole that never knew when the fight was over? the fans that got too touchy and made you uncomfortable? say the word and they're gone. otis knows you can protect yourself - it's the thought that lets him sleep peacefully at night - but he's always wanting to protect you, too.

-whether you do it for the money, for the thrill, because circumstances don't permit you to do anything else - he supports you unconditionally. he's never scared of you, and appreciates how you're never scared of him.

-the money you bring in is yours to do with as you please, of course, and he loves knowing his partner is self-sufficient. truly, you are his equal. whether you choose to join in on his more sadistic delights or not, he's forever grateful to have met a beautiful, fascinating person that could kick his ass if they wanted to. you have his back, he's got yours; otis couldn't ask for anything more.

Steve's bent over the engine of his car, it’s a hot summer day and Eddie is losing his goddamn mind.

“Eddie?”

What’s he supposed to say? ‘Sorry dude, got distracted by your ass again! What were you saying?’

The first time was manageable! Just hanging out in Steve’s bedroom, messing around with ideas for his walls, Steve dropping his keys as they got ready to go get the paint and Eddie unable to look away as he bent down –

The second time? Playing pool at the Hideout, Steve smirking at Eddie with half-lidded eyes under the low lights, sauntering his way over and slowly bending over the table and –

And now this? This is Eddie offering to help Steve out with his car troubles, only to be left awestruck when Steve shoos him away, pops the hood, shoves a rag into his back pocket which also shoves his shorts down just a touch and was that –

“Didn’t know you had a tattoo there, Harrington,” Eddie squeaks, audibly shutting his own jaw up as Steve crawls his torso out from under the hood, just so he can raise his brow at Eddie. Who just. Keeps. Digging. “Kind of a big leap for a first, isn’t it? Would have expected you to go for the wrist or something.”

The grin that stretches across Steve’s face spells fucking trouble.

“Didn’t know you were so curious, Eds,” he purrs, leaning back against his car, hiding away the glory that was his cake of an ass. “Who said it was my first?”

Eddie’s eyes snapped back up to Steve’s face, jaw left on the ground along with his dignity and any sense of calm.

“You got more?”

“You wanna find out?”
