A good sticky primer will help you achieve the #glassskin makeup look. At the suggestion of @tifanyviolet, I picked up a mini size of the @milkmakeup Hydro Grip Primer primer at Sephora. This sticky texture is formulated with blue #agave extract to keep makeup put. This primer also contains extracts of #cannabis, prickly pear cactus, and aloe water to hydrate skin and achieve a luminous canvas for base makeup. Usually I stay away from makeup products that suggest dewyness since minimal skin care products provide more than enough moisture (read: shine) for my oily skin. But, armed with my #holygrail NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Huahine, I decided to follow through with a glass skin routine. I was glad that I did. The goal of a luminous, glass skin-inspired glow was achieved, in part due to the smooth foundation canvas that this primer provided. To avoid pilling with my sunscreen, I used patting motions to apply. I’ve since tried this primer twice, and my makeup has held up well both times, including an unfortunate (but rare) night that I slept in my makeup. My only con is that this primer smells like kindergarten glue. As the weather gets warmer, I’ll finish up the mini that I purchased and pick up a full size during the fall or winter. —————————————————— Where the mirror meets the soul.
