Oh Vanilla Orchid, your eyes betray your very smile
Tumblr media
What are you if not a serene being?
Are you truthly who you appear to be?
Or are you just a being sinking into it's own regret and shame, unknowingly dooming itself to a constant pain lurking just around the corner?
Do I you shield my your soul away, wishing for it all to leave my your mind someday?
Or is it a self inflicted punishment against what I you abandoned?
Is this truthly how I you wish to live?
Should I you speak up and tell the truth I you claim to be oh so important?
No
How could I risk loosing and hurting the ones I care for the most again?
After my failure, what would it do? How would it even turn out?
I can't live another tragedy, I can't fail everyone all over again, what would the two even feel if they were here?
Gods, they would be so devastated..
I must keep this to myself, it would be only fair wouldn't it? No one will get hurt if I keep quiet for now, after all.
I'm guilty of not reaching them in time, and this is my price to pay.

Okay, I’m here, I’m making myself comfortable 😌
I’m avoiding SOA talk until I finish season seven, so I don’t stumble onto anything (honestly shocked I’ve managed to stay spoiler free for so long)
So, our man Will Miller… do you have any of your own head cannons for the most reserved of the Triple Frontier boys?
Tumblr media
Ooooo yay!!!!!!! I was so happy to see this in my inbox you have no idea 🤗💗 Sorry it took me so long to answer, I'm hosting family at my cottage this weekend and there are dogs and children everywhere and not a moments peace 😅
Totally fair to avoid SOA talk! I'm glad you've managed to remain spoiler-free until this point!
You bet your ass I have headcanons about the Captain! This man is on my mind day and night and each time I watch TF, more thoughts (and thots) and ideas come up and I simply can't get enough.
So, here's a few I'll share that maybe some will agree with and maybe some won't!
The Miller's had a rough upbringing. Their dad was a drunk and their mom left when they were fairly young, resulting in Will stepping up to care for Benny and making sure he was looked after, earning Will his seriousness and maturity far sooner than he should've.
Because of that, Will was out of that house as soon as possible, having enlisted the day he turned 17.
Growing up, Will taught Benny how to fight and defend himself, making him feel less guilty about leaving his younger brother at home without him when he went away.
Because he saw what happened to his parents, Will doesn't drink much. He doesn't like the loss of control and hates the emotions it stirs up in him when he does have a couple more than he normally would. He will have a beer or two with the guys or enjoy a glass of wine with dinner occasionally, but never enough to even get a buzz.
He keeps track of everything because it helps him process things. He never wants to forget the things he's done; good or bad. It helps him stay accountable for his actions and he's not the type of guy to kid himself into thinking his position can justify it, and he's learned over the years to acknowledge rather than bury what's happened. The numbers are sort of a certainty for him and help ground him.
Will doesn't sleep well. He suffers from nightmares often, and on nights when they don't happen, he's usually awake on account of his own thoughts. When a nightmare does happen, he wakes up in a full sweat and more often than not it's accompanied by screaming and thrashing around. To help pass the hours when he isn't able to fall back asleep, he'll go for a run to get rid of that anxious energy or hit the 24 hour gym.
I'm one to believe that his relationship with his ex-fiancée wasn't the best, that maybe they had been together since they were young and over the years grew apart and fell out of love as they changed and got older. Will's choice in career caused a lot of stress between them and wedged them apart even more, and unfortunately she took advantage of his deployments to indulge in affairs with men who suited her better. The Publix incident was the last straw for her; she wasn't willing to stick around to try to help him through things and abandoned him completely, leaving him to spiral before picking himself back up again with the help of his brother and friends.
I honestly could keep going but I'll stop there! Please, please, please if you or anyone else has opinions on any of this and wants to discuss it further send me an ask or reblog this. I just love talking about my man 😩💗

i feel like at some point in your life, you'd ask gojo or megumi if you had anymore siblings, like an older sister perhaps and that's when they tell you about your other, half-older sibling, tsumiki.
you never experienced having a motherly-figure in your life. so when you found out you and megumi had tsumiki, you were absolutely thrilled to go meet your supposedly half older sister.
gojo and megumi aren't close with tsumiki, but they know it was only right for you to meet her, since they don't want to hide anything from you either.
when you first saw tsumiki at the school that megumi used to attend to, you instantly got shy. there was just something about her that made you hide behind megumi. as for her, she instantly fell in love with you when she saw you adorably being shy and hiding behind megumi.
"she's our baby sister?"
"she's [name]."
"oh my, come here!"
you were instantly picked up from your spot and was coddled in tsumiki's warm embrace. you instantly relaxed in her hold and eventually, you melted to her touch, hugging her back.
ever since you met tsumiki, you started to look for her. you'd always look forward to what she was upto or where she was. megumi and gojo don't mind, in fact they're happy that you were blossoming a good relationship with your half-older sister.
gojo eventually got into contact with her, so the two of you can spend time together.
tsumiki would take you to pet shops to look at cute animals, take you to clothing stores and buy you boba milk tea.
she'd hold your hand at all times and even if you don't insist it, tsumiki will carry you in her arms.
she's very responsible, she makes sure you're doing zoomies under her watchful gaze and she's quick to act whenever you trip somehow.
she tries to get you into girly stuff and spoils you—so by the time gojo picks you up from your date with your older sister, you were wearing a cute, red sundress with matching shoes; your hair was braided and you had a bunch of paper bags filled with clothes and accessories for your age.
whenever you're with tsumiki, expect your hair to either be neatly brushed, tied, clipped or braided in cute hairstyles. your most favorites are the twin space buns and french braids.
although she's your half, older sister figure—tsumiki acts like a mother to you for the most part.
tsumiki would ask how your day was and if it wasn't good, she'd treat you some ice cream or give you a candy along with a headpat. she'd also give you advices if you ever needed them.
you don't know how handle your emotions? tsumiki's got an advice for that.
you don't know what color to pick for your drawing? she's got one for that too!
you wanna watch cartoons with her? sing and dance baby songs too? tsumiki will happily do that with you! she'll learn it and look for other catchy, baby songs to teach it to you as well.
you're not eating veggies? yeah, that's a no-no for tsumiki. she won't force you, but she will help you eat more greens by making them appetizing to encourage you to eat. in fact, she will even teach megumi how to make simple yet healthy meals for you.
tsumiki sees you not acting appropriately? being a bit mean and talking back to your father or brother? she will not tolerate that. she will give you a light scolding for that and corrects it properly.
someone's been picking on you and somehow you can't find the courage to tell megumi or gojo? big sister tsumiki will take care of it for you, just tell her! your secrets are safe with her. no one messes with her baby sibling.
you eventually become attached with tsumiki and secretly may or may not favor her more than megumi.
you were absolutely devastated when you overheard from megumi and gojo that she had gotten into a coma because of a curse. at that point, you had subconsciously tapped into your chaos magic and did what you didn't think you could do—release her from the curse.
gojo and megumi, no—all of them, were shocked to find you at tsumiki's hospital bed after disappearing off, subconsciously using your wiggly-woos to make her awake again.
that was when your father and brother knew that your bond and love for tsumiki was just as real, and that your gift was beyond theirs. you were indeed the scarlet witch, just as that old woman had told gojo in his dreams.
just as tsumiki protects you in her own way, you'd protect her in your own way too even if you were just a baby. <3
when tsumiki recovered from her coma, the next time you were with her, you'd go out of your way and behind her back; discreetly using your magic when you see a curse boldly approaching tsumiki.
you also started using your magic a bit more ever since she had gotten comatosed because of a curse.
whenever you'd see a sketchy person approach her and you, you'd tap into their minds and make them go away.
or when the weather ruins your pinic date, you immediately make the rainy, dark clouds go away and make the people confused to see why your picnic spot with tsumiki has no rain.
tsumiki forgot to bring a chapstick? you make one into reality and hand it to her, claiming you just had one in your pocket which leaves her absolutely confused because toddlers aren't even supposed to use one.
overall, you're close with your big sis tsumiki.

Word Count: 4045
Warnings: Language, injuries, mentions of cult-like practices (is that the right word for the scars?) but nothing too in detail.
You groaned as your body was dragged along the wet, concrete floor of the former office building claimed by the Seraphites. The rain hit your bare arms mercilessly and each drop felt like tiny shards of glass impaling your skin. Two Seraphites gripped your arms as they hauled you through room after room, taking you to what you could only assume would be absolute certain death.
You couldn't say you were surprised by how little mercy they were showing you. You had been a Seraphite, until they had attempted to marry you off to a man almost twice your age, prompting you to leave swiftly. Leaving didn't come without it's fair share of grievances. You had been seemingly stalked across Seattle since you left, ambushed too many times by too many different squads, and in a moment of weakness you had slipped up, allowing them to capture you.
You were already prepared to face the punishment that came to those who left the cult: death. What other choice did you have? You had no one around to save you, no one to come to your aid, and your body had just about given up on you, aches and pains coursing all the way through it. You were done for.
Eventually, you were thrown onto the ground and soon surrounded by a group of your former affiliates. At least half a dozen had gathered around you, ready to watch your punishment, which was starting to feel like more of a public execution.
The leader of the squad which had picked you up followed a minute later, and without hesitation she dragged you up from the ground by your hair and shoved you up against the wall at full force. Your body wanted to give up but you knew better. You had to stand your ground, plead your case, in hopes that she would show you mercy. "Kay... Please... Just let me go..." You mumbled, your voice barely audible to anyone but her.
Kay chuckled menacingly as she paced back and forth in front of you. "You think it's that easy? You think after betraying her you get to just ask me to let you go?" She looked over at you, her icy stare sending shivers down your spine. "No, that's not how it works, (Y/N)."
"I promise...." You sputtered out, "I won't cause anymore trouble. I just want-"
"Enough!" She shouted as she rushed towards you, shoving her hand around your neck, knocking your head against the wall. The other Seraphites took a step back as they watched the scene. "You've already caused too much trouble." Her face was inches away from yours.
You took a deep, shaky breath before whispering, "Then end it." You were too tired to fight back, too disheartened to believe that you'd make it out of there to live another day. If you were to die, you wanted it to be swift.
Kay smirked and backed away from you, taking a hammer from the hands of another Seraphite. "Oh I'll end it... Don't you worry. She'll be so pleased to know the traitor's been dealt with."
She raised the hammer above her head and you turned your head away slightly, closing your eyes, bracing yourself for the hit.
However, the impact never came.
Instead, you heard something thud, closely followed by shouts and whistles from the remaining Seraphites. You opened your eyes slowly to see Kay dead on the ground before you, an arrow shot right through the back of her head.
The Seraphites had already moved away from you, attempting to locate the shooter, which gave you ample time to slip behind a desk and out of sight. You took a deep breath as tears slipped down your cheeks. You had come so close to death, so close that you were prepared for it. But you didn't have your weapons, or anything to fight your way out of there, and you feared you would have to prepare yourself all over again.
Out of the corner of your eye you spotted something- no, someone, moving and taking cover behind the desk next to the one you currently sat up against. It was a young woman, probably not much older than you. She wore a black jacket and her hair pulled back into a braid which rested just above her lower back.
She poked her head around the corner of the desk, checking for any sign of Seraphites moving back towards the two of you, before she rushed over to you, crouching in front of you. "Hey, you good?"
You were taken aback for a moment. The girl who had come to your rescue was handsome, that much you were sure of. However, you soon remembered where you were and you snapped out of it quickly, "Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." You breathed out.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"(Y/N)."
"Abby. Can you shoot?" It didn't mater what your answer was, she had already pulled out a gun with a silencer attached to it from her backpack and handed it to you. "We need to get out of here. The building's infested with Scars so we have to move quickly."
You only nodded in response. Truthfully, you had no idea how you would make it out of there alive, but you were glad you had someone there with you to help you figure it out.
"Follow me."
The two of you moved forwards, crouching behind desks and chairs until you came across two Seraphites. Both were on opposite ends of the room, still searching for the shooter, which gave you and Abby an advantage. Abby snuck up behind one, grabbing them and choking them out, whilst you aimed your pistol directly at the head of the other before pulling the trigger.
"We need to get to the stairs." She mumbled to you.
As you were about to turn the corner and head down the first flight of stairs, but Abby stopped you as footstep approached, and the voice of a Seraphite called out, "Hey, John? Dylan? Any sign of the intruder up here?" As the woman rounded the corner, Abby grabbed her and shoved a shiv into her neck with next to no hesitation. You couldn't help but grimace at the sight and sound.
After this, the two of you made your way down the stairs, but Abby let out a groan at the sight of a blocked stairwell. "Shit." She hissed.
"There's the river to the right but if we can make it down the corridor there's another flight of stairs." You suggested.
Abby nodded, "Yeah. That works."
The two of you crouched down and slowly made your way into the corridor, where you found four Seraphites. The first one, taken down successfully by Abby, and allowed the two of you to move up, getting closer to the other stairwell. However, your luck wasn't about to last much longer.
You aimed the pistol at the head of one of them, but before you could pull the trigger you were grabbed from behind. "The traitor! And the intruder!" Shouted the man.
You struggled violently, desperate for him to release you from his grip, and not even a few seconds later the man's hold on you had weakened and he fell back. Abby had shot him in the head.
Although you were free, that didn't mean the two of you weren't fucked. His shouts and Abby's gunshots had alerted almost every Seraphite in the building, as a group of them came from the stairwell you and Abby had hoped to use.
The two of you were being shot at from all angles, and you both tried your best to keep up, but it became obvious very quickly that you were outnumbered.
Then, you had an idea. "Abby! The river!" You whispered.
Abby glanced over at you, "The river? What about it?"
"We're outnumbered. We're not gonna make it if we keep pushing forward."
Abby's jaw dropped slightly, "You wanna jump? From this height? Are you crazy?" Abby didn't have time to tell you upon meeting that she was deathly afraid of heights, but you would soon find out.
"What choice do we have?"
Abby took a deep breath. The last thing she wanted to do was jump from the fourth floor of the building into the river, but you were right. What other choice did you have? "Fine. Come on."
The two of you set off running towards the window, the shouts and footsteps of the Seraphites following behind you. As you approached the window, Abby broke it quickly. You were ready to jump, but you sensed a hesitation in Abby.
Her breathing became laboured, and she hugged herself tightly as she look down at the river below, realising just how high up the two of you were.
The Seraphites were moving closer towards you, and you knew you had no time to comfort Abby, or exchange words with her about the drop. As a Seraphite brute lunged at the two of you, you jumped and pulled Abby with you.
You hit the water and before you could rise to the surface you were quickly pulled downstream by the rapids, away from the office building you had jumped from.
Eventually, your head bobbed above the water and your eyes searched frantically for Abby, panic setting in when you saw no sign of her. "Abby!" You shouted, hoping to hear her voice shout back at you, but it never did.
Eventually, further downstream, after minutes of trying to keep your head above the water, the rapids calmed. Your whole body ached, yet you forced yourself to swim to the edge, and with what remained of your strength, you pulled yourself up onto the concrete ledge.
You took a deep breath and laid down slowly, allowing the heavy rain and your exhaustion to engulf you. It felt heavenly. Truthfully, this was the first time you had been able to relax in days, and you planned to cherish every moment of it.
You didn't have the time to think of Abby, or think of anything for that matter. Instead, as you laid there, you allowed yourself to slip into unconsciousness...
♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
What felt like the first moment of peace you had received in your entire life was cut short, much to your dismay. If it wasn’t for your shoulders being shaken, and your name being called repeatedly by a voice you faintly recognised, you would have stayed on that concrete slab and never left. But Abby was becoming frantic. So, as hard as it was, you forced yourself to open your eyes, to let her know that you were somewhat okay.
She breathed a sigh of relief at this as she stood, rubbing her face with the palms of her hands. “Fuck... I thought you were dead...”
Letting out a small groan, you attempted to prop yourself up onto your elbows, which failed miserably. “I feel dead... Are you sure I’m not?” Your voice came out quieter and raspier than you had expected it to be.
Abby let out a quiet laugh, “I’m almost certain you’re alive, but if I find out anything more I’ll let you know."
“Noted and appreciated.” The two of you sat in silence for a while, letting the sounds of the river beside you fill the empty space.
You were surprised Abby had taken the time to find you. Sure, you had escaped together, but you were a wanted woman and you didn't care to put Abby in more danger, though she seemed to find that herself.
Eventually, Abby sighed and lifted herself to her feet, "We should probably get outta here. Before they find us. Can you walk?"
"I- I'm not sure... My ankle... It feels funny."
"Alright. I'm gonna try and lift you up, that okay?" Abby asked you as she knelt down beside you.
You nodded and braced yourself to feel pain, which you did, but it wasn't as intense as you had expected it to be. Most likely because Abby was holding you up, keeping some of your weight from reaching your ankle and doing anymore damage. She moved one of your arms around her shoulder, and placed one of her hands around your waist, trying her best to keep you upright.
"Okay, we're gonna move."
She took the first step, urging you to follow, and you did. It was difficult, but not the worst pain you had ever experienced, and Abby's strong frame did wonders for your ankle.
The two of you moved as quickly as you could down the grass covered roads, not bothering to speak all that much as you both desperately tried to get as much distance between yourselves and the river as possible. The last thing you wanted was to be caught again, especially in the state you were in.
The both of you slowed down as you moved further into the city, closer to the sea shore than the river. You were relieved at this, to say the least. Sure, you had Abby supporting you, but that didn't stop your ankle from continuing to throb as you took more and more steps.
"Where are you headed?" You asked her, your voice barely audible as you attempted to muffle your whimpers.
"The aquarium. You?"
You bit your lip for a moment, thinking of anywhere near the aquarium Abby could take you, where you'd be safe for at least a couple of days. But you could think of nowhere. "I'm not sure." You replied eventually.
Abby let out a sigh. With each passing moment her curiosity was rising. Who were you? Why were the scars after you? Where would you go? She couldn't contain herself any longer, she had to know who she was helping.
"The Scars..." She started. You looked up at her, giving her a slight nod, encouraging her to continue. "They were gonna kill you. Why?"
"I was one of them."
Abby stopped in her tracks, which inevitably stopped you too, "You're a Scar?"
"Was." You corrected her.
"Are you fucking kidding me..." She mumbled under her breath.
"Abby, if I was a Seraphite, I would have killed you by now. Don't think I didn't see that WLF patch."
"I shouldn't be helping you." She replied.
"Why?"
She didn't answer your question, she just began walking once again. It startled you a little, and you winced in pain as your ankle once again had to adjust to the pressure after the moment of rest she had allowed you.
Abby stayed silent for a couple of minutes. She was angry, mostly with herself, for allowing herself to be caught up in this mess. Why was it always her? Why couldn't anyone else tangle themselves up in shit like she did? Abby knew what would happen if she were seen with you, seen helping you. She would be killed by Isaac, she was almost certain of it. Or worse, she'd be tortured. Abby's time at the WLF had taught her at least one thing: sometimes, there's a fate worse than death.
Eventually, your small voice broke the silence. "I'm sorry...."
Abby chose not to acknowledge your apology. It was her fault, she got herself involved in this mess. If only she didn't feel the need to save everyone. "You said you were a Scar. So what happened? Did you get kicked?"
You let out a small, strained chuckle. "No one gets kicked from the Seraphites. You're either there for life or you leave and run for the rest of your life until they catch up with you."
Nodding slightly, she pressed on, "Alright. So you left. Why?"
You bit your lip for a moment before deciding you weren't going to bullshit Abby. "They tried to marry me off to some old man... He... Yeah. They wanted me to be a mother and a housewife. I'm nineteen, and that's the last thing I wanted. So I found a boat tied up at the docks one day, and I took my chances."
"Shit. That's rough...." She took a moment to process what you had just told her. "So, you're wanted now, then? For leaving?"
"Leaving is seen as a betrayal to her. It's one of the worst crimes we could commit. So yeah, I'm wanted. And if they find me, I'll be killed for treason. Like I almost was back there. Thank you again, for that. I'd be dead if it wasn't for you." You looked up at her and gave her a small smile.
She couldn't help but smile back at you, letting out a small chuckle. "We're cool. I guess we're just lucky to have ran into each other."
Comfortable silence overtook you as you continued your journey. You could only assume you were heading in the direction of the aquarium, and you had no idea where Abby was going to leave you. Though, you didn't care too much. Wherever she departed, you were just grateful for the help.
Eventually, rain started falling again, and your bare arms stung with every drop that hit. The pain in your ankle was worsening by the minute and you weren't sure how much longer you could keep going without passing out. Your head lulled onto Abby's shoulder, and she looked down at you, concerned.
She stopped walking and tapped your cold cheek with her free arm, "Hey? (Y/N)? Come on... We're not far now, we have to keep moving."
"Wh-.... So cold... Abby I'm in so much pain..." you whispered, barely able to keep yourself awake.
Abby immediately reached for the zipper of her jacket and pulled it down, shrugging the leather coat from her shoulders as gently as she could. She wrapped the jacket around you, using part of it to cover your head, and the rest to cover your shoulders and arms.
She continued walking, using all of her strength to carry your limp body as well as her own down the street. It was true, the aquarium wasn't far off, but she knew she couldn't get you there in the state you were in. And when she did get you there, what would Owen and Mel say? She couldn't just admit to having helped a former Scar escape from her death, never mind admit to carrying her halfway across the city to safety.
Abby had to evaluate her options, and she had to do it fast. You were slipping in and out of consciousness. There was no way you'd make it to the aquarium. But you needed medical help. But she couldn't let her friends know about you, could she?
Then, she came to a solution. Just a week ago Abby had cleared out an apartment block just down street from the aquarium. She could leave you there, in a higher apartment, where you would be safe until she returned from the aquarium, hopefully with medical supplies from Mel.
She tried to quicken her pace, but with your body becoming increasingly heavier she figured her best bet would be to carry you. Her hands slipped under your legs and she picked you up slowly, carrying you like a groom would his bride.
You let out a small groan as pain shot up your ankle, and Abby winced, mumbling a quiet apology and positioning her jacket on you like a blanket. She broke out into a jog, trying her hardest to keep you as stable as possible in her arms as the apartment block neared.
As you came to the entrance to the building, Abby tried to push the door open whilst balancing you in the other arm, sighing in frustration when she realised that Owen must have been there recently and locked it up. Growing ever impatient, she decided to just kick the door down, sure that at some point in the future she could find a way to lock the apartment block back up to keep it safe, just in case.
Kicking the door closed behind her, Abby headed to the staircase and climbed four flights, making sure to take you high enough that no one, and no stalker, runner or clicker, would suspect anyone was there. She knew exactly which apartment she would leave you in: 4B. When Abby cleared the building out, she had given thought to the idea of making the apartment her own. Obviously she couldn't live at the aquarium anymore with Owen, Mel having occupied the place she once held there, and as much as she loved Manny, he wasn’t the best room-mate in the world. It was still an option.
As Abby looked down at you, almost unconscious in her arms, her mind began to wander. What if she left you here, and you made a home out of the apartment? What if she joined you, and the two of you could live together, and fight to survive together? She wasn’t opposed to your company, not at all. And you weren’t too bad to look at... No, Abby. She thought to herself, her eyes closing as she approached the door to 4B. She shouldn’t even be helping you, a former Scar, never mind be thinking about living with you.
Well it wasn’t such a bad idea, was it? It was close to the aquarium, and it would save Abby a long trip across the city to see Owen.... No.
She pushed the door of the apartment open gently and made her way in, using her foot to push the door shut before heading across the room and laying you down on the large couch, her jacket still draped over your body.
As strong as she was, carrying a person in her arms for an extended period of time exhausted her, so she took advantage of the situation and sat down on the edge of the couch, avoiding disturbing you as much as she could.
For the first time all day, Abby felt at peace. However, that peace was interrupted only a few minutes later when she remembered that she had to head to the aquarium, if only to grab medical supplies for the woman laid beside her. Sure, both Owen and Mel would be suspicious, but Abby wouldn’t owe them any explanations.
She got up slowly, and as she did she heard your faint voice call out her name, and your eyes fluttering open. You tried to move a little but winced in pain, your ankle still throbbing. Abby knelt down beside you and helped you lift yourself up a little, “Hey, try not to move so much.”
“You were just leaving?” Your voice was small and groggy, yet laced with concern, both for yourself and Abby, although you knew she could handle herself.
“Yeah. I was gonna head down to the aquarium.” She replied.
“Oh...”
You bit your lip as Abby stood back up and took a few steps backwards, away from you. The last thing you wanted was to be left alone, yet it looked like that was exactly what was happening. Besides, Abby owed you nothing. She had helped you this far, despite her being a Wolf. You couldn’t exactly expect anything more from her.
Abby turned to leave, but your voice stopped her, “Hey, what about your jacket?”
She turned to you, “You can keep it.”
You strained your body as you moved your head to glance out of the window, seeing that the harsh rain was still falling. “It’s still raining, Abby.... Don’t you want it back?”
“Not yet. It’s colder in here than it is out there, the last thing I want is you freezing to death in here. Besides, I’ll be back soon.”
“You... You’re coming back?” The last thing you expected was for her to announce that she’d be seeing you again.
Abby just nodded in response to your question.
Your eyelids began to drop as you asked her one last thing. “Promise?”
The other girl couldn’t help but offer you a smile, “Yeah, I promise.” She waited there for a few seconds longer, just in case you responded, however she quickly noticed that you had fallen asleep again.
So, she left the apartment block, and made her way to the aquarium as fast as she could, with a promise to be back soon.

_____
"You okay?"
You inhale sharply and glance over to your boyfriend, Peter, seated beside you. He was looking at you with pinched eyebrows, his soft brown orbs dimmed ever so slightly due to worry. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay." You tell him. "Just... thinking." You explain, giving him a reassuring smile. Peter pauses, gives you the usual once over before smilimg back and turning to his work.
By, 'Just thinking' you really meant that your thoughts were racing at impossible speeds and you couldn't focus on anything in front of you. The room felt slightly warmer than it was before. Your vision swam ever so slightly. You felt your heart beating in your chest. Harder and harder as if it were a squirrel on speed, stuck in a small box. Your hands started shaking and you realized how hard it was to breathe. You cursed yourself slightly and dropped your pen, giving up on the damn math equation in order to sit back in your chair and try to breathe.
Your brain had ultimately decided screw you, so now your chest was tight. You tried to breathe in deeply, fill your lungs properly. That didn't happen. You tried again, still hopeful that it would end soon, trying to allow your diaphragm to drop and expand so that you could breathe again and then go back to work. Your diaphragm did it's job but it did it poorly. You knew this was just a small anxiety thing. It wasn't a proper attack. It would just be a massive inconvenience for five or so minutes.
"Y/N, are you sure you're okay? You only do that when-" he cut himself off. "Oh." Peter dropped to his knees beside you and took one of your hands. "Hey, is there anything I can do?" He offers, watching you carefully. You shake your head. "You know there isn't anything you can do Pete." You say, an edge to your voice. Another failed breath.
You tell yourself that as long as you're still breathing you're still fine.
"All we can do is wait." Peter studied you and the surrounding room. You sat back further and continued trying. You had learnt over the years that if you panicked it became worse. So all you needed to do was remain calm and you would be fine.
"Y/N I can't just, stand here idly while you are having trouble breathing." He states firmly. You sigh gently as an idea hits you. "Pete, doesn't May have like, an asthma pump in your first aid box for emergencies or something?" His eyes sparked as you said that.
"Oh my god yes! She does. Maybe her paranoia will come in handy for once." He kissed your hand and fled the room.
The only reason you knew it was there was because a while back Peter had gotten into a fight with Flash at school.
For such an apparently small fight, he had pretty bad injuries: Full blown scratches and cuts as if he was pushed to the ground several times. A black eye, busted lip, fractured knuckles and even a lightly sprained ankle.
Long story short you had to patch him up. It was terrible but a little bit nice since for once you were taking care of him and not the other way rounden again you never saw the fight happen nor did you mention it to Flash. Peter had asked you not to so you didn't.
Part of you always did want to confront Flash but then again your anxiety would problem chew your tongue so you wouldn't be able to get a word out.
Peter ran back into the room with the asthma pump and handed it to you. You placed it in your mouth, pushed the pump and felt the thing dispense as you tried to breathe it in as far as you possibly could. After a few minutes of Peter watching you and holding your hand. You were finally able to breathe again.
"You alright?" You nod in response. "Maybe we should get you one of these." You shrug and try to get back to work, your hands still shaking.
"Y/N."
"Yes Peter."
"Are we gonna go get one?"
"Yeah, after I've finished this." He sighed and took your pen, turning your face to his. "We have all day to finish this. It's ten am on a Saturday. It's due on Monday. You'll be fine." You search his eyes. "But Peter, the sooner we get it done the sooner we can realx." He doesn't let up. "Y\N the pharmacy is literally two blocks away, we'll be back in around ten minutes." Peter gives you this smile. That is what finally makes you cave. "Okay fine Peter we'll go." He grins and takes your hand, leading you out the door.
You two walked to the pharmacy, Peter held your right hand and swung it like a six year old. You smiled gently at that and Peter made a note to continue doing it since he knew it made you smile. You passed the two blocks fairly fast and arrived at the pharmacy. Peter took you inside and you walked towards the counter. You were about to talk but your mouth wouldn't open. You started to ask for an asthma pump but only stuttered like an idiot for about a minute straight until Peter stepped in and purchased it for you. You stood off to the side with your head in your hands, trying to quell your over active mind. When Peter touched your arm you jumped. He rubbed your arm softly as a comforting thing before buying two or three other things.
When you exited the store you took the packet from Peter in your left hand and held his hand with your right. Peter went back to swining your arm and your smile was a bit dimmer.
You were two shops away form his apartment building when Peter suddenly let go of your hand and dropped to the ground. You were about to ask what the hell when you saw he had tied both your shoes for you. He stood up, dusted his hands off and tried to take your hand again.
"Why did you just tie my shoe laces for me?" You didn't know whether to be thankful for that or annoyed that he thought you weren't able to look after yourself. Peter rubbed your hand gently and said "Well I know how particular you are about your shoes being tight and I thought it would be eaiser if I just tied them real quick so you didn't stress about stopping people on the street or anything like that. It's not because I believe you aren't able to do it. I just wanted to try and make your life easier if I could." You took a deep breath, your annoyance easing away.
"Thank you Peter."
"Always my gorgeous." He kissed your temple and you two started towards the apartment again. Both of you swinging your arms.
