It had been a long week and Megumi was feeling completely dead. Those rusty old farts at the Zenin clan had managed to push every single button he had and he was literally on the verge of imploding.

He needs you.

All he wants to do is bury his face into your neck, wrap his hands around you and never let go.

He slowly walked through the streets, imagining how you would react to seeing him so early in the day. Usually, he could only get back to you at the end of the day, after he’d finished the preposterous load of missions that he would be assigned to. But not today.

He had promised you to get back so that he could spend the rest of the day with you.

It was your anniversary and ever since you started dating he promised that he would never miss you two’s special day.

He stopped by a flower shop and hand-picked the flowers he wanted to give you into one big, beautiful  bouquet. He made his way to your regular meeting spot and sat beside you, placing the bouquet in front of you. 

He laid his head against you. He could feel you smiling down at him as the sun’s beams gently kissed your faces.

“Hi sweetheart,” he whispered in contempt, happy to finally be with you. He can finally be at rest.

The old lady slowly walked through the graveyard and her eyes landed on the boy leaning against a tombstone.

Poor boy, he came here often, mostly at night, and her heart hurt as she saw a tear trickle down his face.

Today's new chapter continues the Henderson x Martha angst 😭 In just a couple chapters Endo has done an amazing job conveying how much Martha loves Henry, how volatile the war-torn world they live in is, and how Henry's ideals about education shaped who he became...but also led to regret. If Endo can weave this much of an engrossing side story about minor characters, I can't wait to see what he'll do with the main characters!

A lot of people have pointed out parallels between Henry and Martha's relationship with that of both future Twiyor and Damianya. They definitely have similarities, and while there's no guarantee that Henry and Martha's story has any bearing on the outcome of the other two relationships, my interpretation of it, at least right now, is that it's a cautionary tale...it's showing that this is what could happen to Loid/Yor, Damian/Anya, and honestly any future couples, if things don't change for the better. What we're seeing from Henry and Martha's story is how relationships can get so easily torn apart from war, as well as how clinging so hard to one's ideals - like what Henry has been doing - is also a recipe for tragedy. I mentioned in my last chapter review that I see this as a parallel to Twilight holding on so hard to his spy persona and ideals that he could be doomed to lose out on potential happiness if he doesn't realize his true feelings.

Also, if Twilight fails his mission and another war does break out, the consequences would be extreme both on a worldly and personal level. We saw in this chapter that Martha's path in life was greatly altered as a result of the war (she changed from wanting to be a ballerina to joining the army) and thus she and Henry were torn apart further. What would happen to the characters in the current generation if Desmond does do something to entice war again?

I also really liked the below panel showing what's probably the last scene of where Henry and Martha spent their most pleasant times - now it's empty, one chair has fallen, and a bird chips while war planes fly overhead. Such a great use of subtle symbolism to hammer in the tragic mood.

The chapter ends with mention of Henry potentially getting married due to pressure from his parents than because he wants to. I'm really curious how that turned out, plus how Martha ended up working for the Blackbells. Looks like their sad story will continue for at least one more chapter 😢

THIS IS BADLY WRITTENNNNNNNN, eng is not my first language. I hope nobody criticizes me like I write for a living 😭 also, not proofread. Kind of suggestive. I have no idea what I'm doing or writing. I hope I got this correctly!

Slow movements were made as another lazy Sunday morning was being spent in the kitchen, flipping pancakes with your boyfriend hugging your waist from behind.

You felt like drifting on the edge of consciousness, Jinwoo could say the same. Once the pancakes were finished and ready to be savored, you made every effort to plate them with him securely encircling your waist.

Jinwoo grumbled, half-asleep, eyelids heavy as he couldn't resist the mesmerizing aroma emitting from you. Should you permit, he would hold onto you forever.

For some odd reason, his sense of smell became more acute especially in the morning when you were around, or maybe it was simply your sweet, sugary scent that was so appealing and irresistible. He just had to approach you.

So, as the clingy man he openly acknowledged himself to be whenever he was with you, he just trailed closely along behind you, his head buried in your hair and breathing in its faint sweetish scent.

"—inwoo, Jinwoo," you began to tap his head; slowly, he woke up from daydreaming.

He hummed in response, holding you tighter which made you grumble.

"Pancakes are ready. Do you want syrup?"

He nodded his head against your hair. You did your best to remove his hold around you, to which you succeeded barely.

"Woo, we're going to eat." The dark haired man's face etched with lines of discontent at how he had to let go of you.

The sight of pancakes you made on the table brought a little smile to his face though, a tower of golden goodness waiting to be devoured. Each pancake was a work of art, perfectly round and fluffy, begging to be drenched in syrup.

He seized the chair adjacent to your seat and brought it close to you with such intimacy, eager to be near you as he prepared to enjoy his first meal of the day.

The two of you took a bite, it was a silent breakfast.

"Say, Jagiya," he said. "KHA's hosting a party in three days, may I ask you to come with me?"

You stopped eating after swallowing the last piece of pancake in your mouth. "Like, a hunter gathering? Am I needed?"

"For me, yes." He responded like a form of desperation. "I also want to show my girlfriend to the world. Will that be okay?"

Trying to negotiate with him was pointless. How could you possibly refuse when he asked so kindly? You were somewhat bashful around strangers, often preferring to take shelter behind someone taller. Jinwoo conveniently became that reliable barrier after his sudden growth spurt.

"Sure, does it have a theme or something? I don't want to look off."

"You'd look gorgeous in anything."

"I'm serious!"

Jinwoo chuckled. "A dress, maybe? I'll wear a suit. Should we go look for fits later? It's a day off, after all."

I hummed along with him, eating the rest of the pancake happily.

The dark haired man looked at the necklace around your neck. You were still donning that budget-friendly heart necklace, huh? Back then, it was the only thing he could offer as he didn't have much. It had been his initial present to you upon making things official, and ever since then, you hadn't removed it.

He was determined to hold onto you once more, and he did, though his breath hesitated as he realized how easily he could grab your waist.

Jinwoo buried his face into your styled hair, reddening like a teenager. Oh, Jinwoo, your charming Jinwoo who kept showing this cute side of him just and only for you.

You had envisioned the gathering to be calm before the storm, but surprisingly, it was actually like a walk in the park! Initially, you had anticipated being swarmed or judged by random people nearby, but they were actually quite polite.

You also noticed how tense some of them appeared moments after approaching you… Or maybe you were kidding and it was just your imagination? You had initially thought of hiding behind Jinwoo and using him as a shield, but surprisingly, they were composed and respectful.

You were unaware of the fear gripping their souls, as each time you greeted them with a gentle, tiny smile, a certain dark-haired hunter would send them glaring looks from a distance behind you; Jinwoo knew their intentions, and they weren't dumb to realize that he was pointing right exactly at them.

"Jagiya," He spoke softly by your ear before planting a kiss on the tip of your ear. Wait. "Did you use another perfume when we arrived?"

The sudden weight of pressure hugged your hands, leaving you undeniably certain that he gripped it tightly as if awaiting something eagerly.

"No…? Wait, do I smell—"

He knew what you were going to assume. "No, not bad. Just different. Like candy or something similar."

You kissed his lips. "Good." Jinwoo couldn't resist smiling, a sight that, unbeknownst to both of you, resulted in many spectators widening their eyes at the sight of the two of you.

His concentration was solely on you, those gray eyes looking down at you with so much adoration. He never objected to public displays of affection, perhaps the two of you simply preferred to keep your intimacy private, until now—at least, for Jinwoo.

It made him feel giddy.

"Kiss me again?"

"What? We're in public…"

"So? No harm in doing it again. You already kissed me. Plus, we literally had a quickie weeks ago at a restau—"

"Shut!" You whisper-yelled, a flush of embarrassment spreading across your face up to your ears. Jinwoo chuckled. "That is not necessary!"

….? Did he just… Laugh?

That was the thought of the woman afar, Hunter Cha Hae-In. Plagued by an unsettling and cumbersome sensation, she observed something she didn't think she'd see.

So those pictures of them taken at a beach were true? The blonde hunter tried to swallow down her drink.

"Wait, what do you mean you kind of drove them away?" You whispered closely to your boyfriend's face, brows furrowing. "So that guy Mr. Kim was actually gonna piss his pants because you continuously looked at him like a mosquito???"

The hunters scattered throughout the room, especially those who had witnessed Jinwoo's prowess in battle, look mostly in disbelief as they witnessed something that surpassed their wildest dreams. They had never considered that such a brutal man on the battlefield could be so tender... And it seemed like he had no problem showing it, too!

hi I'm back with more Alex thoughts and headcanons 😄

So there's this secret note you can find that gives you a hint on what his loved gifts are:

Right away I zeroed in on the wording in it :') He "learned to love" it? This makes me think he didn't like those foods before, but he eats them because it helps him get closer to his dreams. Like he's got a lot of discipline. I mean he does work out every single day as part of his routine, for at least a few hours if not the majority of the day (in the case of his winter routine).

There is also this bit of married dialog:

Which to me breaks my heart a little, like even though he's loved and has been accepted by his spouse for who he is, he's still dealing with these insecurities 😭 it makes me wonder how much he's holding himself back because he wants to fit into a box still, even after being shown by the farmer and reassured repeatedly that it's okay to be himself.

So I want to think maybe after some time goes by he is able to let go of this a little bit. Indulging in his grandma's baking and maybe doing a bit of his own. Not letting this rigid disciplined desire to be at peak performance at all times stop him from enjoying his life.

I want him to reach a point where he can be a little kinder to himself and not try so hard. Maybe get a little soft belly. :3 Y'know. Overcome that last hurdle of trying to achieve perfection and just be himself and be happy!!!

I have many thoughts after finishing Penacony's story quest, mainly about...Sunday.

From my interpretation, what I find the most tragic about his character is how ultimately he was seduced by the idea of Order because he's someone with no personal aspirations or dreams. His goal was always to fulfill other people's dreams, especially Robin's. He wants a perfect world where everyone is happy but mostly because that's Robin's dream (surface level, because we all know Robin does it not only for others but herself too as she feels happy travelling to other planets and spreading joy.), with her dream fulfilled it means that she would go back to him and they could be together again, he wouldn't be lonely and scared for her anymore.

But differently from Robin he feels like he doesn't have that way to touch people's heart, he doesn't sing like her, the times where he tried to help the 'right way' didn't work out the way he expected. So combined with his loneliness and helplessness, he starts feeling like forcing everyone into a perfect dream is the only way out. Definitely a savior complex, to the point of sacrificing his self to achieve that goal.

Anyway, just a few ramblings because he definitely is one of my favorite characters after that arc. I already liked his character but after knowing his motivation I just couldn't stop myself from loving him. I cried a lot with the siblings 😭😭 I even got the secret quest I'm so happy

✦ Chilchuck would definitely use the height difference he has to his advantage. When you’ve been dating for a while, I like to think he’d pull you to his chest and rest his head on your shoulder, enjoying the proximity. Maybe he even rests his chin on top of your head when he’s feeling affectionate.

✦ Cuddling with this man as another half-foot is so nice. He’s going to be the big spoon most nights to feel protective, and in doing so he’s wrapping you up in that warm body of his. If you feel like spoiling him, snuggle your head into his chest as he holds you, wrapping your arms around him. He’d probably melt into the blankets.

✦ We know Chilchuck isn’t very affectionate in front of others, but I like to imagine him still pulling you close behind closed doors and burying his head into your neck after a long day. Maybe he comes home and wordlessly kisses your forehead, pulling you into him and sighing. (He’ll probably not talk about anything that happened at work, but at least he shows you he’s there!)

✦ As you’re another half-foot, dancing with him is a must! Especially after he’s had a few drinks in his system. We know from that one piece of official art that he can, in fact, dance a bit, so I can see him pulling you in as well. Any time you two can, dance with him and enjoy how big his smile is when you grab his hand that’s held out to you.

✦ I saw other people headcanon this, but imagine wearing his clothes and having them be a little baggy on you. You enjoy it a bit too much, going through his laundry and finding something of his to wear. Chilchuck will get a little red in the face at the sight of you in his shirts, but he’ll wave it off and mumble how nice you look.

✦ Leaning up to kiss his cheek and pulling him by his belt towards you will definitely get him a little flustered. We know how this man is with affection, but if it’s from you, it gets his heart beating a good bit. Decorate his face in kisses by pulling him down gently by his neckwarmer and watch as he lifts his hands up to shakily hold your waist. Sometimes he even pulls you to his lips to get what he really wants if you keep teasing him like this.

✦ Going back to cuddling, if you decide to share a bedroll with him, he’s the perfect sleeping partner. Seeing as he likes to sleep on his back, you can easily slot up against his side and rest your head against his chest. He’ll wrap an arm around you to subconsciously pull you closer in the middle of the night. (Be prepared to get super warm and toasty while sleeping now!)

✦ Chilchuck thinks your height difference is cute, but he’ll never admit it out loud. You can use it to your advantage too by walking past him and kissing his shoulder. Maybe even wrapping your arms around his waist and kissing the back of his neck. Chil will jump a bit at first, but lean into your touch, especially if you nuzzle into his shoulders. After all, you’re definitely a soft spot for him.

He needed a new cowl as the old one was tattered and torn.

Seeing you making your own scarf, he asked if you could make him one.

You, of course, obliged without any hesitation.

He sat with you for the first hour or so as you started, listening to the mindless mumbles that escaped your lips.

It was similar to meditation, he thought.

He didn't mind the click clacking of the needles, and the determination was evident in your eyes.

Ramattra would sit by you most days, others he would leave you alone to do it.

When you finally present it to him, holding out the bundle of yarn, he almost hesitated taking it.

It was a gift, he wanted to be cautious.

When he unfolds it, the yellow pattern among the purple makes his systems heat up.

He loves it already.

It is soft and as he puts it around his neck, the fibres tickle his neck slightly.

His chassis hums in contentment as he thanks you, a tilt of his head to show his happiness.

Ramattra knew he'd be wearing it until he needed a new one.

HANZO

Winter was always cold in Hanamura.

No matter what the archer would wear, he'd still find himself shivering.

When he found out that you could make scarves, he sheepishly asked if you would make him one, should you have the time.

The way he asked made you smile and agree to his request.

He didn't see much of you after that as you hid away from him.

You made sure to make it a navy colour, gold as accents.

It would suit him no matter what he wore and would for sure keep him warm.

When you appeared a week or so later, having worked on it non stop, you presented it to him with a small bow.

He stares at you for a moment before it hits him that he asked you to do this.

He takes it from you, letting it unravel.

A satisfied hum escaped him as he thumbs the material, fingers tracing the golden coloured accents.

He mutters a shy thank you but doesn't wear it then and there.

The next time you see the archer in his suit and coat, the scarf was wrapped around his neck, keeping him snug and warm.

VENTURE

Their last scarf got lost on their last expedition.

When they saw the one you had wrapped around your neck, they immediately asked where you got it.

After you mention that you made it yourself, Sloan then proceeded to ask if you would make them one.

You nodded, saying it would be done before they went on their next adventure.

You got to work instantly, sitting down on the sofa with the yarn by your side.

They sat next to you for a little while, legs kicking as they excitedly watched.

A few days passed before you finally gave it to Sloan, a shy look on your face.

Their hands reach out and take it, smushing it against their face as they sigh into the softness.

As they wrap it around their neck, they notice the word VENTURE inscribed into both ends.

They hold back some tears as they give you a goofy smile before hugging you tightly.

From then on, it became a treasured item, always with them and they would always panic if they misplace it.
