Just speaking this into existence but the term "3rd World Country" is an outdated term born during the Cold War and with distinct Imperialist/Colonialist connotations; it is highly discouraged already in academic discourses and it would be best to drop it altogether in news outlets and daily life.

There are more suited options, although not perfect and all-encopassing, some arguably can still hold negative connotations, but you can use them to your discretion and sensibility:

Developing Countries; Global South; LICs & MICs (Low & Middle-income Countries); Majority World.

Hi! I would have replied on the actual post I made about meeting idols on customer service, but I ran out of characters, so this is how I met Miriam Teak Lee, lead actress of & Juliet, my favourite musical, who I have met once before at stagedoor.

I work at a theme park selling the ride photos and you aren't allowed to take photos of the screens (very important to note). This was my first ever day at work, I was inexperienced and still very nervous. So this group of people come off the ride, one of which (Miriam) is carrying a large professional camera and starts taking photos. I ask her if she could stop taking photos, but she utterly refuses saying that she's taking a video instead, as if that matters.

One of the other people I was on with sees that she's refusing to put down her camera and asks her to stop again, and she kicks off and starts having a go at my coworker, while I'm standing there not knowing what to do with myself.

It's not unusual that we get people getting annoyed or refusing when we ask them to stop taking photos, but it's the fact that this was my absolute idol, favourite actor on the west end, and my very first day at work that made the situation so much worse.

Oh wow this is such a wild story! And I'm really sorry that this was how you met your idol and especially that she acted like a dick on your first day.

Thankfully, all the contact I've had with famous people I admire up to this piont where not on the job and very fleeting and polite.

was reading one of those regressor action manhwas and it revealed that the comedic relief jokey pushover type character had been tricked into betraying his team in the past and got them all killed after he’d had a fight with them and so he ended up killing himself out of guilt, and when everyone went back in time this guy went to the mc and begged mc to kill him as punishment for what he did and was yelling at him things like, “I told you to kill me!” but then the mc is asking him if he really wanted to be killed and then the guy breaks down sobbing on his knees saying he didn’t and it was just…fantastiche
