I ran around town this morning into the afternoon and got to thinking about how I have never attempted going over bunny ears after I took Emma's class on it a couple of years back. No actual bunny ears attempted, but I did attempt passing behind the back like that but just a regular pass.

What do you think ronan & adam get each other as gifts? I feel like people focus a lot on ronan spending tons of money on Adam or dreaming the most amazing things and Adam having nothing for ronan but i don't think so?! They seem like they love giving each other smaller, meaningful gifts and esp when they're far away they can't show their love languages that much (i feel like ronans is gift giving and physical touch while adam quality time bc time used to be all he had) and they send each other things... But for anniversary/bday/Christmas what do dou think 🧐

I must admit I've never thought about gifts before but I do agree - I think ronan is acts of service (driving adam around, helping him with cabeswater, the rent, the hand cream kind of too), gift giving (hand cream, the watch, the mixtape) and definitely physical touch, and adam's is definitely quality time, acts of service but also physical touch as well I think?

I dont think ronan would ever spend a ton of money on adam because adam probably would never accept it. I think we get a good indication of the kind of things ronan would dream for adam in the books. always something that shows he cares. the watch as a symbol that he's always going to be with adam even if they are miles away. the hand cream to bring adam some comfort. I can see ronan dreaming impossible flowers that are the exact colour of adam's eyes, or a pen that never runs out of ink, or idk a power bank that doesn't need to be charged? pre-cdth I liked imagining ronan sends adam regular care packages with things like homemade jam from the barns, the hand cream (and also add lip balm to it as well). I also like imagining ronan making regular mix tapes for adam. I dont remember if it was a post on Tumblr or a fic but I remember I saw a headcanon once that ronan makes adam a new mixtape every time adam comes home and leaves it in his car for him to find when he drives back to college. adam will also give ronan little things I think. a new leather band for his wrist, a hoodie that smells like him (ronan also dreams adam one of his hoodies that never loses ronan's smell), maybe cheesy things like KISS ME I'M IRISH aprons (because in my head ronan is a good cook)?

but also these are little things I imagine him giving here and there. anniversary/birthday gives I am notoriously bad with. also what gifts do significant others give each other? I sure as shit wouldn't know. maybe ronan can dream adam a 'little piece of Cabeswater' for his birthday (like a plant or a tree or something??) so that adam always had cabeswater with him? I'm not sure what kind of gift adam would give ronan for an anniversary or birthday because honestly I dont think adam is a gift-giving type, and ronan isn't a gift-receiving type. I imagine adam doing acts of service on special occasions. something like taking ronan out for a long drive and then stopping somewhere isolated and peaceful and like making out under the stars or something, making impromptu trips to come see him even if its only for a few hours, putting on a song and dancing with ronan in their home barefoot, cooking for him because in my head adam can only make like 3 dishes very well and for everything else he is a disaster in the kitchen (yes I am projecting).

Peter Parker x Reader-4th of July HC

Hello and Happy Bday America!! I got this idea to do a HC for Peter and the 4th of July and I couldn’t resist- this is my first HC so I hope you enjoy!!

Of course you're going to the Parkers’ home for 4th of July

Aunt May was so sweet in her offer you couldn’t say no

And besides, you wanted to come anyway-another day to mess around with your boyfriend?? You’d take that over anything in the world

When you get there, Aunt May immediately puts you on cake duty with Peter while she makes burgers

Flour gets everywhere, but it’s fun

You guys are all just completing jamming out to “Don’t Stop Believing”

At one point Peter gets too into his lip singing that he almost trips in the floor and your the only one there to save him

So you try to give him your hand

But He takes you down with him and your both covered in floor laughing your asses off

Aunt May tells you to clean it up, and you don’t object because you realize what a mess you’ve made, but May thinks it’s adorable how close you guys are

When the cake is done you both asks if she needs help cooking

Aunt May insists she doesn’t need it, so you and Peter get bored real quick

You find Peter’s old Cap shield from when he was 5 in his room

He pulls out a toy Iron Man arm that he got a few years later

So it immediately turns into an impromptu Iron Man Vs. Captain America fight

He calls dibs on Iron Man oc

You’re both laughing like maniacs and it ends when May says you guys gotta stop cause your both are super loud but she can’t help laughing at you too

A few minutes before the fireworks start you all go outside and grab some sparklers

You’re trying to draw out your name and Peter decides to take some pics of you as your playing with them

He gets a really cute one of you with you smiling and your nose all scrunched up right as he says something that made you laugh with a halo of light around your head

The fireworks start and your both flinching with every bang but you both love the lights and the night air and being cuddled up next to each other on the street eating cake and ice cream

After their done, Aunt May says she’s heading off to bed but you’re welcome to stay for a couple more hours

The next round of fireworks come but Peter’s apartment building is blocking them so you can’t see very well

Peter notices your kinda bummed out because you love fireworks, so he asks if you might wanna know what it feels like to be Spiderman

Your super confused but OF COURSE you say yes

So he leads up the fire escape and tells you to what there

He goes into his room and changes into the suit

He then slips out quietly and grabs you by the waist and asks if your ready

You’re kinda scared but in a good way and your adrenaline is kicking in, your heart going a million miles a minute

“I was born ready”

Peter kicks off and you have a death grip on him and your smiling and screaming

He finally lands and your adrenaline is going like crazy and you’re slightly dizzy

You step and wobble and he catches you as your laughing from the rush

He all concerned for you but you reassure him your fine

Then you turn and oh my god you’re at a loss for words

In every direction you turned there was fireworks in a little different heights and colors

You look at Peter and all you can think about is how much you love him, so you pull his mask up just to where you can see his lips and you kiss him

I just had too much too drink at a friends bday party (we have a full on tribute blasting Bohemian Rhapsody and singing it out, beers raised to the sky) (its like 1.40am now i’m so tired) and i just pre-ordered a steel book blu ray of BoRhap (i dont have a blu ray player, i can only HOPE that includes digital) and ordered the Wembley concert dvd woopsie daisies ! 🍻 cheers to you freddie ! ❤️

Anon i feel this in my bones because I just came home at like 7 am and we were singing (screaming) Queen in the Uber and I was shouting “God bless John Richard Deacon” when we played another one bites the dust. So, yes to partying and jamming to queen. Also yes to impromptu buying everything related to queen and borhap 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Tasha Dougé, Day 13

I can’t believe I have one more day left of this residency.  The same way, I can’t believe I am off to Jersey.  Haha, that made me laugh.  In all seriousness, I can’t recall the last time I was in Jersey.  I mean I drove through Jersey to get to Philly.  That obviously doesn’t count.  Yet, I am ready to give Jersey some Tasha love.  Too bad old habits and the MTA weren’t down for the plan.  As I was swiping to get in the subway, I saw that a train was coming.  I dashed past the turnstile and flew (this is subjective) down the stairs and with much relief, I smiled when the train doors closed.  That smile quickly turned upside down when I realized I was on an uptown train (old habits) instead of a downtown train.  The 4 is express and that means the next stop was 42nd, when I was only a stop away from Brooklyn Bridge.  I already knew that this was going to shift things, just didn’t know how much.  I get to 42nd, made the quick crossover and now I’m back on track.  I get to Brookfield Place ferry terminal (memories of Bday mini golf/Day 3), went to the window to buy my ticket to Paulus Hook only for the attendant to tell me that the last ferry was the one that was currently leaving the dock.  Ferries don’t resume until 4pm.  WHAT!!!  What did this mean?  Was my whole day up like the ferry horn?  Nooooo!  I guess the attendant sensed the internal dialogue that was going on in my head and offered me an alternative.  He told me there’s a yellow tugboat that goes to Jersey, which leaves at 10:45am.  Yes he did say tugboat.  The price is about the same, I would have to pay on board and that is was a 15 min walk from that stop to Paulus Hook.  I told him thank you and had to laugh.  This was just another example of my life. There had to be some sh*ts and giggles somewhere.  10:45 came and what docked was not a tugboat.  Lolz are warranted for the attendant’s exaggeration.  In less than 15 mins, I am in Jersey.  

My walk from Warren St to Paulus Hook was actually quite nice.  I came across a Korean War memorial.  I was surprised and excited to see Tanda Francis’ Adorn Me (2018) along the way.  I first saw her work at... Socrates Park!!!  It was a few years ago, but look at the serendipity of this moment.  I was just in Socrates last night.  Imma leave that right there.  I also had to pleasure of encountering a piece titled On Boundaries.  The artist is Marta Blair.  In this piece the artist “asks about the blended dynamics of borders themselves.  It intends to explore the duality at the very heart of the word ‘border.’  No front and back, no here and there, no good side versus bad side.  It’s rather a connecting element that emerges from that unexplored area between the two sides of things, pushing the idea behind a borderline and our multiple imaginary or real boundaries, whether they are voluntary or imposed, intangible or concrete, they determine our way to live and interact.”  I felt that piece was a nice and poignant accompaniment to my apexart journey and apexart’s mission (hence why I bolded unexplored area).  Like Jermaine Spivey said in the dance workshop, there are no mistakes.  There was a reason for me to take the yellow “tugboat.”  And that was made abundantly clear when I finally reached Paulus Hook.  It was absolutely lackluster.  The pier was blah and drab.  No vibrant colors or food trucks in site.  Just buildings.  Well God came through because I got to see two friends that I haven’t seen for over two years!  We had lunch, caught up and shared plenty laughs.  That was just what I needed and right on time for me to have my second session with Nancy.  It was another thoughtful and rich conversation.  I recapped my visit to the Church of Scientology and worship with the Quakers.  It was affirming to hear that Nancy was able to fully see me and my autonomy from my blog entries.  It truly was a pleasure having dialogue with a mental wellness professional.  Not only is this her line of work, she also understands artists.   Since it was so easy to share with her, I know that this will not be our last session.  I foreshadow friendly check-ins in our future. 

Unfortunately, the fermented ice cream & popsicle online class got canceled.  So my final destination shifted to a Boathouse Jam at the Gowanus Boathouse.  Sounded like a cool impromptu concert where folks could join in with their own instruments.  When I arrived, the musicians were gathered in a circle and jamming out.  I noticed the cello, violin, guitar, ukulele, and a harmonica.  I had no idea that you could rock out with a ukulele.  It was highly impressive. Nothing like a jam session to end the day.  Tomorrow, Day 14.
