Ahmed Masoud, 17 February 2024: "My people in Jabalia Camp in the North of Gaza demonstrating today against the deliberate Israeli policy of starvation. Some of the signs say: we have eaten animal food, there is nothing left to eat."
Sharing some of the latest updates on Gaza, as I don’t think many of you reading US media are seeing this.
At least six Israeli bombs were dropped over Gaza’s largest refugee camp, Jabalia, yesterday. At least 100 were killed, including 19 members of the same family, and hundreds more maimed. (Source: Al Jazeera).
Since October 7th, at least 3,457 Palestinian children have been killed. Another 1,000 children are missing under the rubble of Israeli air strikes in Gaza and the West Bank. (Source: Save the Children)

We are rapidly reaching a stage of no return in this genocide, which has been the culmination of Israel’s decades-long occupation strategy.
According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), as of 2023, the Gaza Strip includes eight refugee camps, the largest of which is Jabalia in the northern part of the Strip, where 116,000 Palestinians are registered as refugees.
Palestinian statistics show that prior to the current war, virtually nobody in any mukhayam in Gaza was actually living in a tent. Prior to October 7, the average housing density in Gaza was 1.7 persons per room; 21.2% of the population lived in a house or a villa while the rest (77.8%) lived in apartments. Most residents (78%) owned their homes or apartments.
In 2021, 100% of Gaza's residents had access to electricity. Daily per capita consumption of water in Gaza was 86.6 liters per day – four liters more than average daily consumption in the West Bank, and in Jordan the average person has access to only 61 liters of water daily.
The following photos show the difference between Jabalia in the Gaza Strip and other "refugee tent camps" in the Middle East.
After seeing the protests in Hebron on I ran to the snap map to see and y'all that's not the only place. Jenin & Tulkarm are protesting, too. And they aren't small protests, either 👀
Also, posted an hour ago: the people in Al-Shifa Hospital seem to be raising each other's morale, but I don't speak their language so I'm not sure. They seem high spirited for sure though. Around the same time someone north of the hospital posted some more of...something in the sky, an attack for sure. I have a screen recording of it all if someone wants to help translate.
Finally, we have more info on the Palestinian men who were abducted, stripped, and (for at least 7 men) executed:
Yesterday, Israeli forces stormed the northern Beit Lahia neighborhood at 10am, ordering residents to come down from their buildings and surrender. The soldiers then ordered the women and children to go to Jabalia and Kamal Adwan Hospital. They also took the elderly men for interrogation, before telling them to follow the women.
“A neighbour of ours, a 58-year-old man, who was the director of a UNRWA school, they took him with the young men. They stripped them and took pictures, they tied them up. And they put them in their trucks and took them near the coastline,” a witness said.
The men were then lined up on the coastline and left in the cold for “14-15 hours”. Some were interrogated and some were “beaten and insulted”
Some of the abductees were then put in a truck & returned to Beit Lahia in the early morning hours, according to the resident. Others remain missing.
The Israeli occupation once again committed a major massacre in Jabalia, killing more than 400 martyrs and wounding them. At the same time, it committed another massacre in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing more than 100 martyrs and wounding them
