(I think of RED and BLU as separate characters, who might just happen to look/act alike)

RED Scout - american (Boston, MA) (his ma has irish ancestry, from Galway - I saw this headcanon somewhere and I love it)

BLU Scout - filipino-american (NYC)

RED Soldier - american obv (Atkins, AR) (I know that he's supposed to be from the midwest but I don't care. I headcanon that his dad is from Idaho and his mom is from Ohio. Also I think he's like 25% native or something because I think it'd be funny/interesting if he's not 100% White American™)

BLU Soldier - american obv (somewhere in Virginia) (he was raised by eagles in the Appalachian wilderness, so he barely speaks coherent english)

RED Pyro - chinese (somewhere in the south, but spent most of their childhood homeless in Shanghai) (they never told anyone and it's unlikely they ever will. The only people who know are Pauling and the Spies, but none of them will tell) (I know it's a popular headcanon but I never really saw them as mexican, sorry)

Hello! I am currently trying to make a document including all evidence of Viv's problematic behaviour, and since you're quite popular in the critical community, I wanted to ask your opinion on the structure of it. If I missed anything feel free to correct me!

Vivziepop is a horrible person

I-early signs

-Nazi sausage party ocs (inspred by doctor Mengele, following a nazi blog

-drawing Kesha and glorifying her illness

-Zoophobia (contains the Addison drawings, Mirage being depicted as goofy when she's a pedo, Sahara and Latika designs

-supporting blaire white and Shoe0nhead (her too since Shoe has recently been revealed as a neo nazi)

-transphobia (discord messages)

-drawing Mimzi as a caricature/stereotype of Jewish people

II-Spindlehorse & twitter

-Raphielle shipping valangel, saying their a proshipper and still working on SH

-Following multiple proshippers, including someone who used audios of REAL kids for his digital CP and someone who actively ships Rick/Morty

-allowing and encouraging the harrasment of people who critique her shows to the point they are forced to come out or receive rape threats

-Blaming A24 for the lack of competent advertisement on Hazbin Hotel and replacing the voice cast

-encouraging harassing Erin Frost and Kendraw for coming out with their experience with her

-Studio reviews revealing the nepotism and abuse in the SH studio

III- The shows

-finn/ cole was made cis when he was originally trans

-sally mae only regarded by the fandom as a trap or futa, sexualised in every piece of her merch with her dick being emphasized to the point the fandom fetishizes her

-alastor being made creole or mixed as an afterthought, when Viv had already used real life voodoo symbols, very clearly inspiring alastor from Wendigos without any research, made him white as paper and depicted him as the 100th " asexual and aromantic person is an evil murderer!".

His asexuality and possible aromanticism is always ignored by the fandom in favor of shipping, and inclusive Vivziepop even said to do as they pleased with his sexuality for shipping.

-forced positivity, pushing the idea that even murderers, abusers and horrible people can change hazbin hotel

Depicting abuse (Crimson hitting Moxxie, the whole Valangel tag existing) and sexual assault (again woth Moxxie and angel) as funny jokes or sexy

-Noticing a pattern, Viv tends to promote M/M relationships a lot but depicts them as overtly sexual, predatory and toxic, and seems to have a problem with having "twink" characters abused sexually in a yaoi-ish way (Addison, Moxxie and Angel, Vox. Stolas/blitz too.)

-the only two people of color that are confirmed are Alastor, Velvette and Valentino. Velvette's color is very ashy and she is often infantilised (this might have more to do with her being a woman in Vivs eyes) she presents no POC features at all, neither does Valentino who is a stereotypical black man who is a pimp, abusive (sexually too) and has a short temper.

-using "it's hell " as an excuse to make horrible characters to glorify and depict as the true victim while doing nothing to become better. (Ex. Stolas is a rapist , Blitzo Sexually harrasses his co-workers and is very toxic, Alastor is a serial killer.) Depiction is not glorification, but Viv actively makes it seem like all of it is okay to do and has a show who has a very negative message that affects the viewers and fanbase into excusing disgusting shit.

-disrespecting religion by not accurately researching the demons she talks about

-Sexist writing in helluva and hazbin that favores males(Loona,Millie,Stella, Verosika)

-ableist language by Blitzo, refusal to acknowledge this and even joking about not being able to say a slur

-collaborates with Brandon Rogers,whose work is clearly sexist,racist,homophobic and ableist

-making fun of eating disorders (Moxxie)

-involving kesha in her show while she is trying to get justice for being abused and trying to recover, making the character she voices based on all the things she hated about herself

-included famous voice actors, pays thousands for them but actively underpaid and overworked her staff

-No trigger on an episode that contained Blitzo vomiting

-Barbie wire grooming a teenager is considered a joke (and the tweet doesn't count, we should be able to tell if the teen was actually older by his design or any line of dialogue, if those who don't have twitter won't know it means it's a problem)

-various incest jokes hinting at proshipping (Moxxie/Millie, and a rumor +dialogue cues hint at Andrealphus and Stella being in a relashionship)

-merch of almost all female characters being somewhat sexual

-depicting the Woman/Man as the only healthy relationship (Moxxie/Millie) while the queer couples are toxic (Chaz/Moxxie Blitzo/Stolas)

Holy shit that's a long read, I suggest you make that into a blog post or something. The only portion I can assume that you got correct is the third section. Most of the first two sections are spot on to me, but I am not sure if they're both completely correct because I'm not really aware of what Vivziepop did in the past, just what she has been doing since like last year. Sorry to disappoint, but it is pretty great from what I'm reading.

Modify it to what you think is best so that people will read from it and test read it yourself in case you got something wrong. I suggest you use Grammarly for grammar or spelling issues because even though English is my first language I still struggle with those

See No IDF Evil

I'm in the throes of grading and I'm traveling for most of the period from now through New Year's. But I did want to quickly (for me; it's all relative) speak a bit about the way the American Jewish community is adopting a "see no evil" approach to IDF activities in the Gaza Strip (and beyond). There are plenty of reports of IDF soldiers targeting non-belligerents. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem just accused IDF snipers of killing two women sheltering in a convent "in cold blood". Reuters claims IDF tank fire deliberately targeted its journalists in circumstances where there were no nearby belligerents. MSF likewise claims Israeli forces deliberately targeted its medical personnel (I remember this one because MSF initially did not accuse any particular party of responsibility, which gives credence to the notion that it was not reflexively lobbing out an allegation but rather actually engaged in some measure of investigation). One could go on. One thing that often isn't part of these conversations is the catastrophically high levels of overt racism that exist towards Arabs in the young (which is to say, military-age) Israeli population. If roughly a third of population from which Israel is drawing its soldiers endorses things like "stripping Arab Israelis of their citizenship" and otherwise endorsing hate against Arabs, it would be stunning if we didn't see significant instances of at the very least indifference towards protecting Arab civilian life, if not outright infliction of war crimes. That'd be true in all circumstances, but particularly in the context of this conflict and the brutal Hamas massacre that precipitated it. Meanwhile, David Ignatius reports what many have seen, which is that soldiers drawn from the more radical parts of the settlement project basically view their IDF service and their status a price tag raiders as more-or-less interchangeable. Given all that, the denialism that IDF forces likely are in a non-trivial number of cases either deliberately attacking protected persons, or at the very least not paying due heed to Palestinian life is absolutely incredible. One place one "pro-Israel" American Jews could retreat to would be to concede abuses may be occurring, but say that they (a) are not policy and (b) should be investigated and punished as appropriate. The first part is likely true (or true-ish; whether the rules of engagement are properly respecting the legal boundaries about proportionality and distinction is an open question). The second part causes problems. Even before the current conflict, it was increasingly apparent that potential war crimes that occur in the midst of combat operations will never be significantly investigated or punished by the Israeli government. Just convicting and then commuting the sentence of Elor Azaria almost ripped the country apart; the current government is full of zealots one whose general approach to vigilante Jewish violence targeting Arabs is to propose giving the perpetrators medals. Nobody actually expects significant or serious Israeli investigations into alleged war crimes committed by its soldiers. But accepting that IDF soldiers likely are, in non-trivial numbers of cases, engaging in criminal conduct towards Palestinians during combat operations would put into stark relief the paucity of actual investigation and punishment, at which point it'd be virtually impossible to defend the Israeli government's conduct. Far easier to take advantage of the fog of war to cover one's eyes to the primary instances of abuse. I got tagged by @nowandthane and @asgardianhobbit98. Here's the problem, I don't think I have 15 mutuals. Or if I do, I don't think they remember who I am. SO I'm not going to tag anyone, but if you see this and remember who the heck I am, just reply with like a bird emojo or point at me or just like it or something

Were you named after anyone? My second name is after my mom's best friend. My first name is just because my parents liked the sound of it. It's also an exceptionally Jewish name.

When was the last time you cried? HAWWW I cry all the time. Like every few days. I used to not cry often at all, but lately I've been crying a lot. Mostly at TV. I am a sucker for manipulative TV.

Do you have kids? Nope. Just pets. It will stay that way. I was a nanny and that was enough parenting for me, thank you. Kids are great, don't get me wrong. I adore my nieces and kids in general. I just don't have the health or wealth or desire.

Do you use sarcasm? So I am confused by this question. Are there people who don't? Or is the question just here for some people to answer "no" sarcastically?

What's the first thing you notice about people? Oddly enough, their eyebrows. Probably a mix of "this is how I know what emotions you are displaying" and eyebrow shaming as a unibrowed olive child.

What's your eye color? Dark dark dark brown. Just like, big brown dots.

Scary Movies or Happy Endings? I feel like good scary movies have some levity and happy-ish endings right? But I don't know, I like either scary movies with happy endings, or comedies movies with bitter endings.

Any special talents? Without touching a container, I can tell if a jar is made of glass or plastic, even if they look identical. Also, if something is under 6 feet long, I can tell exactly how many inches it is with about 2 inches of accuracy.

Where were you born? Detroit, USA

What are your hobbies? Cooking, bird watching, drawing, playing games, D&D, reading, writing, snarking with my husband or friends about stuff on the internet and the youths, rock collecting

Have any pets? The worst. Kepler and Archie. I had to stare at Archie for like a solid 20 seconds right now to remember his name. He's that bad. You all know them, you all love them against my better judgement.

What sports do/have you played? I'm 36. I sit. Sometimes I stand. Occasionally I walk to the kitchen, but not competitively.

How tall are you? Short king.

Favorite subject at school? In grade school? Art and science. In College, the best courses I ever took were primate ecology and multimedia ethnography.

Dream Job? Anything that I can do. Literally. I would love to just be able to do something right now in a way that could afford me some sort of sustainable income while not killing me.

Most hits, most words and most bookmarks: All Our Gifts at Once, or, the Young Sea-Man, a Sherlock/John Victorian AU that is also a realist retelling of The Little Mermaid. I started it almost exactly ten years ago (one week from today!) and finished it in late 2014, but I'm still very proud of this one -- it had several layers of ambition and I think I mostly pulled them all off. (It's also my only proper multichapter, which is surely part of the hit count.)

Most kudos: The Thought That Counts, also Sherlock, written for an exchange and much fluffier than my usual. I remain convinced the reason this one took off is that @moonblossom reblogged it right after I posted it.

Most comments: God Rest Ye Sleuthy, Gentlemen, an advent collection of drabbles and 221bs. (Also Sherlock.)

fourth-most hits and kudos (yes this is extremely stupid, but I would like to get at least one [1] fic on here that is not Sherlock): The Words That Other People Say. Jessica Jones, Jessica/Trish. This is a precanon story about the year Trish goes away to college. I wrote it post S1 and it was profoundly jossed by S2 (which, like: is that supposed to happen with precanon stuff? anyhow)

Least words: So the thing about being in Sherlock fandom for so long is that I have many, many fics that are 221 words. My shortest fic that it not the product of deliberate formal constraints is Foiled, a silly little holiday-ish gen fic about John Watson trying to pick up a Jewish police officer and getting razzed by Sherlock when he mucks it up.

winner in all categories in my current (tiny) fandom: Always In This Twilight, Margo/Sergei, minor canon divergence, set at the 1991 IAC. (technically The Path is about 150 words longer, but AITT is way out ahead in all the other categories.)
