Cretaceous scene, Joel Snyder, 1982
The smell of each volcano is unique. Some are sulfuric, boiling brimstone that turns the air rank. Others are more like burning wood, a choking, smoky stink that crawls close to the ground. And then there are those that belch acridity into the sky, making the air as sour as vomit. There is little that dinosaurs can do against any of these, save flee or tolerate. The first action is preferred.

Dr. Stone Headcanon: Pajama Wear Edition!
(Scenario: Yuzuriha has a ton of fun making pajamas for everyone, being paid in Dragos of course, and makes everyone's nightwear individual and unique to each person! Feel free to draw these if you want.)
Senku: Button up short sleeves that are beige with E=MC2 on the back in a dark brown font. The front of the shirt, on the right side, there's the Kingdom of Science symbol/flag on it and on the left side there's small writing that says "Dr. Senku". The pants match the beige of the shirt. He has rocket ship slippers with a night cap with a little moon at the tip of the hat.
Gen: White long sleeve shirt with black pants. A purple robe with playing cards along the sleeves and a floral design on the back. His slippers have flowers on them and correspond to the sides of his hair and it's colors (Left is black, right is white).
Chrome: Blue-grey base color with a pattern of different types of minerals and gems that Chrome had found himself. It's a design on both his shirt (button up) and pants with little dark blue slippers and Cr (symbol for Chrome) on both of them.
Ukyo: White tank top with flannel light blue, white, and baby yellow pants. Yellow plain slippers with a matching yellow night cap, same yellow as his hat that he wears all of the time.
Ryusui: A detailed gold colored dragon design on a black button up with plan black pants with RYUSUI written in hiragana down the right pant leg. His slippers are cute little blue and black dragons.
Tsukasa: Plain maroon red tank top with beige pants and maroon slippers.
Mirai: Yellow night gown with light pink and blue sea shells everywhere and mermaid slippers.
Kohaku: Plain white t-shirt and blue shorts and a blue scrunchy. She also has a tiger onesie (Yuzuriha was requested to make a gorilla one but she knew Kohaku wouldn't accept that in a million years).
Suika: Navy blue nightgown with watermelon slippers.
Ruri: White nightgown with frilly ends and lace lining the short sleeves with blue slippers.
Nikki: Purple spaghetti strap nightgown.
Minami: Maroon red long sleeve button up and black floral pants.
Chelsea: The map of the world all across a button up long sleeve shirt and little pumpkin slippers.
Luna: Pink onesie with a giant crescent moon on the back.
Xeno: White button up with long sleeves and black pants with a black robe. The robe has "Dr. Xeno" written on the right of his chest in white. On the back of the robe there is a telescope and stars along with a spaceship.
Stanley: All black long sleeve shorts and pants.
Sai: A black onesie and binary code all everywhere in white.
Joel: A onesie with a clock on the front and the time on it is midnight. On the back there is a moon and he has clock slippers.

Ohhhhh I’ve never even heard of Batman forever!! But he does look fiiiiiineee I know what my new hyperfixation is going to be, I’m so serious. It’s so hard to keep track of all the different variations of Batman 😭😭
A handy-dandy guide to all the (live-action, cinematic) Batmen
Tim Burton’s Batman
Batman (1989) - played by Micheal Keaton
Batman Returns (1992) - played by Michael Keaton
The originals; beloved and nostalgic for a lot of people. Took Batman from kinda goofy and kiddish in the media, put some darker tones on screen. A little basic thematically and cinematically by today’s standards and doesn’t follow now well-know parts of the character - batman kills in these movies for instance. Still iconic soundtrack by Prince.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joel Schumacher’s (RIP🙏🏾) Batman
Batman Forever (1995) - played by Val Kilmer
Batman and Robin (1997) - played by George Clooney
While technically, in the same universe, as the Tim Burton movies, after Batman Returns, was criticized for being too dark for child audiences of the time, Joel Schumacher was bought in. And with a very gay 80s director, came Batman movies that were universally panned for being overblown, camp, and childish. They still get clowned and memed on today, but they’re cult classics now though thanks to some pretty popular, YouTube reviews that reveal a lot about their story and production history - Batman Forever is my favorite of all of them. Also, great theme song: Kiss from a Rose by Seal.
Sidenote: the only movies to feature Batgirl and Robin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Christopher Nolan’s Batman
Batman Begins (2005) - played by Christian Bale
The Dark Knight (2008) - played by Christian Bale
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - played by Christian Bale
The big ones. The Nolan Trilogy. Definitely the most popular. Brought the character back from its then camp and admonished reputation by making it a lot darker, a lot grittier and a lot more realistic. Being the first Batman to use digital cameras and having an Academy Award winning performance by the late great Heath Ledger as the Joker made these movies insanely loved. If you weren’t there, I can’t even explain to you how big they were.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zack Snyder’s Batman (aka DCEU)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), Justice League (2017), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021), The Flash (2023)
all played by Ben Affleck
Don’t think about it. I hate it. We’re moving on.
Matt Reeves’ Batman
The Batman (2022) - played by Robert Pattinson
The most recent, incredibly critically acclaimed, the first good Batman in a decade. My second favorite of all of them. Somehow, even darker, grittier and more realistic than the Nolan trilogy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BONUS:
Kevin Conroy’s Batman
The actor responsible for voice acting Batman in basically every piece of animation from the 90s to about the 2010s. Beloved by all, may he rest in peace.
Tumblr media
Adam West’s Batman
The campy 60s show. It’s silly, but it still has the best Catwoman and the scene where Adam West has to play Bruce Wayne calling Batman on the phone is criminally good acting. Again, rest in peace.

Every Actor Who’s Played Batman, Ranked from Worst to Best
By Insider, June 16 2023
10. GEORGE CLOONEY - BATMAN & ROBIN (1997); THE FLASH (2023)
Tumblr media
George Clooney in "Batman & Robin." Warner Bros.
Still trying to find his footing post-"ER," Clooney was jumping back and forth between romantic comedies and action movies when he took the Batman role after Val Kilmer was one-and-done in "Batman Forever." It turned out to be a disaster. Fans were exhausted by director Joel Schumacher's colorful aesthetic and the cartoonish villains played by Arnold Schwarzenegger (Mr. Freeze) and Uma Thurman (Poison Ivy) fell flat. Plus, Clooney's Batman was too jokey turning the gruff Dark Knight into someone playful and soft. Back in 2013, Clooney said that he keeps a photo of himself as Batman to remind him how bad of a decision that was. However, the Oscar-winner had a little fun with his superhero status for "The Flash" as he appears as Bruce Wayne at the end of the movie, indicating that Barry Allen isn't in his universe.
9. LEWIS G. WILSON - THE BATMAN TV SHOW (1943)
Tumblr media
Lewis G. Wilson in "The Batman" TV show. Columbia Pictures
Wilson has the distinction of being the first actor to play Batman starring in the 1943 series. Though he had the comics as a reference point, Wilson was still at a disadvantage being the first to put on the tights. He holds his own, but it's certainly not a performance that is memorable. Just take a look at him in the role.
8. ROBERT LOWERY - BATMAN AND ROBIN TV SHOW (1949)
Tumblr media
Robert Lowery in the "Batman & Robin" TV show. Columbia Pictures
The second effort at a Batman TV series led to the casting of a bigger actor to play Batman. Lowery's physique and the show's better fight scenes make for a more enjoyable experience.
7. WILL ARNETT - THE LEGO MOVIE (2014); THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE (2017); THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART (2019)
Tumblr media
Will Arnett voices Lego Batman. Warner Bros. Animation
It's tough to say whether Arnett has it easier or tougher having to do only a Batman voice to play the Lego version, but it's entertaining regardless. He voiced the character perfectly in "The Lego Movie," "The Lego Batman Movie," and "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part."
6. BEN AFFLECK - BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (2016); SUICIDE SQUAD (2016); JUSTICE LEAGUE (2017); ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE (2021); THE FLASH (2023)
Tumblr media
Ben Affleck in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Warner Bros.
Most of the actors on this list had to deal with scrutiny when they agreed to take the Batman role. But you could arguably say Ben Affleck has had it the worst. Dealing with the social media hate that comes with being a superstar in today's world, Affleck had the cards stacked against him as soon as he was cast in "Batman v Superman." But he did well playing the character as brooding and past-his-prime.
5. VAL KILMER - BATMAN FOREVER (1995)
Tumblr media
Val Kilmer in "Batman Forever." Warner Bros.
Having to replace Michael Keaton after he dropped out of making a third Batman movie, Kilmer came in with a smoother style, and audiences enjoyed it. The movie made more than "Batman Returns." It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Kilmer had stayed on for another movie.
4. ADAM WEST - BATMAN TV SHOW (1966); THE FLASH (2023)
Tumblr media
Adam West in the "Batman" TV show. 20th Century Fox
Love it or hate it, West's Batman portrayal is singular and permanently imprinted on many brains. He's the first image many of us have of the character (he's even Christian Bale's favorite Batman). West gave the character a squeaky-clean persona that was perfect for the kid-friendly show. The only knock on him: His fighting abilities were less than desired.
3. ROBERT PATTINSON - THE BATMAN (2022)
Tumblr media
Robert Pattinson in "The Batman." Warner Bros.
Pattinson's Batman is still very rough around the edges as we focus on the character in his second year as Gotham's Dark Knight. And that's what makes it so appealing as instead of watching Bruce Wayne in his prime as a superhero here he's using his raw talent and desire to make Gotham better to get through every night.  Also, Pattinson plays the character with such darkness and fury you can't take your eyes off of him.
2. CHRISTIAN BALE - BATMAN BEGINS (2005); THE DARK KNIGHT (2008); THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012)
Tumblr media
Christian Bale in "Batman Begins." Warner Bros.
Bale's acting chops and dedication to the characters he takes on are unquestioned, and he certainly delivered in the three times he played the character. The argument could be made that you could never understand Bale when he spoke as Batman or that he was helped heavily by the creative force that is director Christopher Nolan. Regardless, Bale brought an intensity to the character that had never been seen before.
1. MICHAEL KEATON - BATMAN (1989); BATMAN RETURNS (1992); THE FLASH (2023)
Tumblr media
Michael Keaton in "Batman." Warner Bros.
The casting of Keaton is definitely up there as one of the biggest gambles a studio has ever made. Known best for his comedic work, Keaton faced a near-universal fan backlash when announced for the 1989 film. But Keaton proved everyone wrong, and along with director Tim Burton brought legitimacy back to a franchise that was on life support by then. Playing the character as dark and mysterious, yet still capable of a wry laugh, Keaton paved the way for how Batman would be seen for the decades to come. And decades later he reprised his role for "The Flash," once more proved he's the best Dark Knight as he's a major highlight of the movie. Keaton is so confident in his performance in the role that he can say, "I'm Batman." And you know what? We think he's right.
HONORABLE MENTION: WE CAN'T LEAVE OUT KEVIN CONROY
Tumblr media
Kevin Conroy is the voice of the animated Batman. Warner Bros.
Though numerous actors have voiced Batman, there's one who stands out. Kevin Conroy has basically become "the voice" of the Dark Knight, doing the character for "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early 1990s and almost everything else related to Batman in animation and video games until his death in 2022. All hail to the G.O.A.T.!
