this is such an interesting concept - true, haven't seen it before
i attempted it in a way i hope it works - took me a bit to circle around this one - they are kind of enemies - will make sense along the way
hope you'll enjoy 😊🥰
notes: fluff/angst
Rain mercilessly tore through any bit of clothing her body was covered with, drenching every inch, the pitch black cloak unable to sustain the heaviness of it along with its hood, all the cold water dripping down her face in multiple waves. Gritted teeth forced the jaw into a tensed contraction in hopes of alleviating the sharp pain conferred by the deep cut along the calf, wound oozing with dark blood slowly washed away by the rain. Her body flew at a desperate speed through the trees, once every three branches a foot landing and pushing even further, pleading with a deeply embedded rage that she will be capable of making it back, of not fainting from the amount of blood loss and collapse.
When the past and the present violently crashed into each other an hour ago, she did not expect for a single moment for such a trained mind, body and soul to crumble under a single, deep stare filled with nothing but love and purity. For the past few years, she did nothing but to live in a blinding haze of lost memories, aggravating blackouts and rivers of blood staining the porcelain skin of, now, bruised hands. When all countries deemed Y/N a traitor, a rogue Shinobi lost to a group that became an entirely dysfunctional family, taking her in and nursing every bit of the immense power she possessed, the fallen princess of Konoha believed it all to be true. She did not remember when the decision to desert all that was the most dearest was taken and never received an answer when the question was asked.
Multiple sounds of sharpness were picked up by one of the most skilled and keen hearing, blades missing the target by chance only for one specific kunai to stab its pointy tip through the material of the cloak covering her right arm. Tearing through it, Y/N made a miscalculated choice to dodge any possible incoming attacks and the ninja sandal's rubbery sole slipped against one of the branches, pushing her into losing all balance, dangerously plummeting to the ground. In an attempt to land safely, Y/N pressed the wounded leg against the muddy ground, keeping the hearing as active as possible despite heartbeats booming into her ears. Wincing, the knee caved under her from the searing pain, digging into the rain drenched mud.
"Finally." the voice that has been haunting her for years said, laced with tiredness and sorrow.
"Stay there!" Y/N growled, eyes trained on a pair of ninja sandals taking two steps towards her, feeling how the blood oozing out of the calf was flowing down furiously.
"Look at me." the other Shinobi said broken, yet relived, stopping where she instructed. "Please .."
That was the fatality of such moment that threw Y/N into a loop of unavoidable feelings, heart and mind fighting a most gruesome battle as she raised her head against all judgement. Barren eyes met bright blue, their shade stripping away all the darkness brought by the brutal storm, two flashes of pure light stabbing right through the numb organ pulsating into her heaving chest.
Children's laughter danced into ringing ears, whispers of a faint life that seemed to barely be alive, dying out heartbeats accompanying a past Y/N remembered through the cracks of a reality that was foreign. She recognized the boy standing before her, head cocked to the side with a painful melancholy that sent shivers down her tired spine.
"It's me." he said weakly, almost as if in a pain that could not be understood by anyone but her, lips curved downwards in disbelief at the sight. "Naruto."
Electric shocks pierced each synapse pulsating into her brain, the forceful grip of a familiar rage suffocating every part of what makes one human, being remembered, flashback after flashback, on who the person standing before her was. Every single fight in which they have been involved against each other, all the cuts and bruises left on one another, his voice calling her name over and over again as years passed by, relentlessly chasing Y/N for a purpose she could not quite understand. A kunai deeply embedded into Naruto's abdomen flashed inside her troubled mind, blood flowing in merciless waves that had him cough violently. This was one of the moments that have haunted Y/N for the past year, when they last met both on the brink of death in their fight, his desperate pleads for her to return.
Return where? Do I have where?
She did not remember of having a home and it most certainly could not be in Konoha, the village embedded into the brain to be destroyed completely.
"Y/N." Naruto extended a hand. "You will bleed out."
"Thanks to you." she sneered, gaining the force to push herself upwards, to level with the boy that could not wipe the sadness off his beautiful face.
"That was not me." Naruto replied, finally avoiding her piercing gaze and eyeing the ground in shame. "That was Ino. Remember her?"
Frustration overcame Y/N, all the names learned over the years that meant absolutely nothing to her and, yet, they felt incredibly familiar and warm: Naruto, Ino, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Kakashi, Tsunade, Jiraiya. The list could continue until the sky would clear out and the moon will be finally seen, him throwing these names at her every single time they met as if they meant something.
Am I missing information?
Y/N was well aware of how time seemed to pass by with unfilled gaps in her memory, not knowing how a certain place was reached, how a week flew by without any knowledge of her actions during the time, how bodies would pile up without knowing if it was her bringing them to their demise.
Am I losing my mind? Am I supposed to know all of those people? Am I supposed to know Naruto?
Allowing her heart to ask the mind questions which seemed to have their answers held by Naruto, waves of shocks were short-circuiting again and again her entire, now fragile, being. Eerie whispers with demands lacing their tonality spilled into the reality Y/N was trying so hard to cling herself to. Commanding the kill instilled into a scrambled mind, a harsher voice summoned all the rage such small, yet strong, body could produce, pumping constantly scenes of past fights with the people of Konoha, twisting the beautiful, kind and warm boy that Naruto always seemed to be into a monstrosity that came to claim her heart through the sharp stab of a kunai.
I have to kill him.
With every ounce of force Y/N exerted on herself to not listen to what was dictated, the louder the voice was getting, menacing, laughing into her face for being a weakling. This was the mission of a cursed life.
The bane of my existence: Naruto Uzumaki.
Taking advantage of Naruto's gaze shamefully eyeing the ground drenched in the endless pouring rain, Y/N pushed forward to grab the extended hand, ignoring the wounded calf that could not be felt anymore, numbness enveloping it as all the adrenaline of the attack spilling into the boiling blood pumped through the veins. Fingers latching around his wrist, Y/N pulled, chakra concentrating into the other hand, fist ready to strike, wanting to destabilize him before going for the kill. Naruto simply sighed and quickly shifted, her fist missing him by an inch, body going forward into complete nothingness. With a blinding speed, Naruto turned around the balance of power, twisting her arm upwards and pulling her backwards, back hitting his chest with a quiet gasp. The other hand found Y/N's free one, catching the wrist and applying the necessary pressure until her fingers straightened out in a pain he never wished to inflict on her.
"Stop." Naruto's warm breath brushed against her ear, fingers reaching upwards from the wrist and intertwining with hers. "For once just .. stop."
Why am I shivering?
Y/N was not cold, the rain was as warm as the air, a Summer storm that brewed around two hearts beating in harmony, one not recognizing the other. The familiar closeness she had always felt when in Naruto's presence, calmness of a purity that drove her into madness nights on end, not understanding one bit who this boy was supposed to be to her. With every passing second in which Y/N felt his body pressed to hers, shivers ran along the skin, wanting to know more, to understand better why he has been chasing her around as if his life depended on her. Quiet shift of a body had Y/N feel Naruto's head bowing, forehead colliding on top of her head as a deep, shaky breath left him.
"I know you're in there." Naruto whispered, pain and yearning dancing with the pouring rain, drenching even the deepest part of his hopeful and tired soul. "Remember me, please."
"I-I don't .." Y/N breathed, demeanor caving suddenly, betraying a past life that was hidden under a vicious purpose. "I don't know you."
"You do." Naruto said, holding back the same tears that have been nestled into his heart for far too long, guiding their arms forward until four hands intertwined on her belly, completely enveloped into the warmest hug ever felt. "Better than anyone."
Screams boomed into Y/N's head, surges of pure killer instinct being spilled into her blood, bubbling to the surface, pulling out a vicious smirk as the boy stood there filled with a hope many did not had anymore. Y/N betrayed again the instinct deeply rooted into her gut to not touch a hair on his head, leg swiftly moving backwards in between Naruto's, kicking him right in the shin, a loud groan erupting from the Shinobi. Arms released, she quickly spun around and bent forward, palm pressing against his stomach from which a wave of strong chakra was released. Naruto gasped the moment he felt electroshocks ravaging the insides of his body, pushed forward through the air, back hitting a tree causing a choked cough to come out. He watched in pain, sadness pooling into his eyes as Y/N came towards him, kunai in one hand, rage splitting such gracious and beautiful features in a monstrosity he did not recognize. Naruto knew she used the last of her chakra in this hit, the chances of taking Y/N down being substantial now and yet .. he could not bring himself to take action.
When Y/N disappeared from Konoha, everyone believed she went on to join Sasuke in his endeavors, their weird, dark bond always present since children. Searches have been done, ANBU scouring the land as far as it went and always coming empty handed. Six months later when she reemerged in an Akatsuki cloak, empty eyes with an unrecognizable void, standing by Obito Uchiha and declaring the start of the Fourth Shinobi War, everyone left behind was in shambles. It was for the first time in his life, Naruto turned love into hate, a love so powerful that could turn in nothing else but the disgusting feeling he never wished to acquire.
How could Y/N leave everyone? Leave me for THEM?
The answer never came, chasing her all over, fighting almost to the brink of death, painfully remembering how he deemed Y/N a traitor, something he did not do with Sasuke but was ready to do with her out of pure hurt. Naruto could not remove the image of her bright smile and blushed cheeks whenever he would say the most stupid thing, all of that only so he can see Y/N laugh time and time again. He could not get over how her hand felt in his, walking the streets of Konoha as if nothing else mattered into this accursed world, the first girl to ever hold and feel things only seen at others.
How come the person of my entire being turned her back on the life she always deemed so precious?
Y/N suffered greatly the moment she woke up without a family around. Father in ANBU, killed by Orochimaru. Two younger brothers perishing shortly thereafter - one in Orochimaru's experiments and the other by Kabuto's hand when refusing capture, fighting back for his freedom. Mother taking her own life shortly thereafter.
THE INFINITE TSUKUYOMI IS THE ANSWER! - Y/N screamed to Naruto, her figure menacingly guarding Obito in the war - all she wanted was to be with her family again.
Why does she not remember us? Me?
It took a dying Madara to reveal the answer to Hashirama and the chasing resumed for another two years. Drained, tired, mentally exhausted to be the target before Y/N's eyes, Naruto finally caved against the tree, knowing that her life will peacefully resume once he would die by her hand.
"You're done." Y/N spat, body landing on top of his, straddling Naruto with the kunai held against his throat. "This ends here."
"Can I do something before I die?" Naruto asked, half-smile tugging at his chapped lips.
"A last wish." Y/N chuckled eerily. "Go on."
Naruto's features softened, melancholy pooling into his bright blue eyes, the sadness of his smile gripping at Y/N’s heart with a force she did not recognize as his index finger brushed away a wet hair strand and placed it behind her ear. She shivered leaning in, body reacting on its own at the contact, Y/N's rage fighting a confusion that rattled into the deep ends of her soul. Naruto's arms wrapped around her body, pulling until their bodies flushed against each other completely with the kunai resting in between their necks.
"I love you." Naruto whispered, nose nudging a cold cheek that used to always burn under his intense gaze, now grazed with bruises and an unforgiving pain.
Pangs of pain littered Y/N’s heart, soul humming harmoniously at the sound of such intimate words, small, quiet cracks could be heard inside of her brain as if something started crumbling the moment the boy uttered the sentence. Body trembling, mind in complete disarray as children's laughter resounded again into Y/N's ears, the warmth of foreign tingles pinching her bloodied lips, taste buds tickled by the flavor of a ramen she never had, madness stretching every inch of her being at all of the sensations hitting at once.
"What are you on about, Y/N?" Naruto's voice boomed inside her head. "This is for life."
Jolts pushing Y/N back, staring wide-eyed at the defeated boy before her, wondering if all of those feelings were born out of love, an equally foreign factor she has not encountered in years, since her entire family passed away but could recognize it faintly. Tears streamed down Y/N's face, kunai trembling against Naruto's neck, his eerily peaceful smile bringing her desperation.
Why? Why can't I remember? Why don't I know why he loves me?
The menacing voice was raging inside her mind, commanding to kill him once and for all, that she will be free of duty to live the life she always dreamed of. One Y/N was not capable of remembering. In a twisted way of events, she managed to keep the voice at bay as bright blue entrapped her completely, allowing Naruto's fingers to explore her face, tracing every single curve, stopping for a moment on a dimple inherited from her mother.
"Who am I to you?" Y/N asked, head cocked slightly to the side like a clueless kid staring at the wonders of the world. "Why do you .. love someone like me?"
"Do you truly want to know?" Naruto asked, tears pooling into his eyes as all he wanted was to kiss her back to him.
"P-pl-please .." she whispered, kunai pushing slowly into the skin of his neck. "T-the voice .. I can't .. i-it doesn't stop .."
"It will." Naruto said with a soft smile, noticing Ino walking quietly right behind Y/N with tears streaming down her face seeing her best friend in an unforgiving pain. "I promise."
"Please, Naruto." she sobbed, small droplets of blood trickling from the shallow wound the kunai began inflicting, his name rolling off her lips as it used to having Naruto choke back heavy tears.
"Shinranshin no Jutsu!" was all Y/N heard before blackness engulfed her troubled mind, Ino taking over completely.
6 months later
"Naruto, drop it!" Y/N laughed, dishcloth thrown skillfully as it landed on his head.
"Why do you always have to fight my help?" Naruto asked, pouting while closing the faucet and turning around.
"Because there are only two plates." she sighed, leaning against the door frame of the kitchen, arms crossed against the chest. "You did more than enough for me."
"So what?" Naruto rolled his eyes, throwing the dishcloth on the counter. "I chose to."
"Kakashi Sensei chose for you." Y/N replied, watching how he walked up to her, fingers pinching the dimple on her left cheek.
"Oh, God!" he groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Is Kiba getting in your head again?"
"Wh- .. No!" she said while puffing her cheeks, a faint blush covering them. "I just want you to resume a normal life, not taking care of me when I am perfectly fine."
"Well .." Naruto grinned, bending forward slightly only for her blush to intensify at the closeness. "Then I'll go. I was thinking of seeing a movie and have dinner together but if that is what you wish .."
"NO!" Y/N jumped, hand clasping the material of his shirt, pulling him in even more.
Both froze in their spot, wide-eyes and bright blushes gracing their features, noses almost brushing with such closeness and the air grew thicker, tension bubbling around the two. Muttering a quick and quiet 'sorry', Y/N let the shirt go while taking a step back, hitting the wall that cooled down the hotness enveloping her body.
"I have to meet Sakura." Naruto replied, brushing the entire incident with a face splitting smile. "She has the medicinal tea ready for your headaches."
Nodding slowly, Y/N slipped out of the kitchen as Naruto went for the door, bedroom door slamming behind her. He let out a much needed deep breath and slipped out, heading to meet the person that made her life easier in these past months.
When Ino and Naruto brought Y/N back, she was immediately induced into a coma to break the Jutsu Obito placed on her brain with the sole purpose to hunt and kill Naruto. It took two days of relentless work on such an intricate method of controlling one's mind with everyone waiting breathless outside the doors of a tightly guarded by ANBU location. Screams, tears, agonizing pain shattered Y/N’s entire being as everything that happened in the blackouts she sustained all those years returned - people killed and tortured for information. The downside of regaining her true self? Forgetting parts of the past that no one knew if they would ever come back anytime soon. Including what Naruto had told her two days prior to her disappearance.
When Y/N woke up, Tsunade was beyond herself as she recognized almost everyone. She had a bit of trouble with Shikamaru, Kakashi and Ino - exactly a part of the most important people in her life, the ones that had a deep impact. Missing conversations and events were slowly pieced back together, flashbacks appearing in the most random moments, in her dreams or nightmares. When Naruto saw Y/N for the first time after waking up, she cried as never before, remembering attacking him but not what they talked about and he refused to tell her. She begged and begged but to no avail. Naruto did not wanted to force on her moments and words that did not came naturally, from the bottom of a heart that sustained one of the most darkest strains one could experience.
"After you save the world, you'll forget about me." Y/N said it under the form of a joke but Naruto frowned. "What?"
"That is what you believe?" Naruto questioned, both laying in his bed staring at the ceiling in their free day.
"Yes." Y/N chuckled. "What is a best friend compared to girls swarming you?"
"What are you on about Y/N?" Naruto followed, raising his hand to point in between them with a small smile. "This is for life."
"What are you .." she began asking, words waiting on the tip of her tongue, confused, yet hopeful, gaze meeting his.
"What I said." Naruto replied with a shrug, head turning away and severing the stare that threatened to become intense, hand finding hers on the bed. "We are for life."
The memory dissipated, words of a confession made under the blade of a kunai dancing on the tonality of his mind, as Naruto walked along the streets of Konoha, heart booming with yearning, absorbing every ounce of love he could gather from the past 6 months in which he practically lived with her. Naruto wanted nothing more than for Y/N to remember being in love with him, stupidly not noticing it earlier all those years ago.
**
Y/N paced around the house, from the bedroom to the front door and back again, fingers ruffling through the hair, the small moment in the kitchen playing on repeat into her mind. She has been trying to have a conversation with Naruto for the past two weeks, wanting to find a good moment to tell him the truth. After all the hurt she had inflicted upon him, after being in the dark for so many years, after losing the sight of what was real under a merciless and controlling Jutsu, after all the care Naruto offered for 6 months straight, almost fully moving in to watch over her and that troubled mind that was close to healing completely, Y/N needed to confess, to pull him out of the dark.
In the past half of a year, Y/N worked hard to come to terms that everything that had happened was not her fault, not out of her own desire to strike down all of those poor people, working for a force that was too great for her. Even with remembering everything and absolutely everyone, all the conversations, all the moments she shared with them, there was still something missing. It gnawed at her soul, a small pain swirling around yearning, the familiar feeling of loving someone tugging at the heart, mind refusing to unblock the last piece of the puzzle.
However, two weeks ago when Naruto came late from a two day mission, he walked into the bedroom to check if she was sound asleep, something he did every single night to make sure that there were no nightmares or tears, and that is when Y/N heard it. The pure 'I love you' laced with the same pain she kept feeling when around him 24/7, the words that unlocked the memory of her holding a kunai at his throat, the words that unlocked the memory of an innocent promise before she disappeared. Every single second of every minute of their lives spent together came crashing down as if her entire being waited for those words to be uttered again to feel completely safe before making Y/N whole again.
"I'm home." Naruto announced walking through the door to find her standing in the middle of the hallway, pale as a sheet and gawking at him. "Y/N?! Are you alright?"
She stared at his bright blue eyes, wondering how the hell was she capable of remembering all of it except the most important and deepest thing - being in love with him. Naruto walked around the house for 6 months carrying all the love they had for each other on his shoulders, leaving her to be happy and clueless, waiting for the day in which she will remember. Y/N understood why all the deep stares, the blushing glances and stuttering words were a part of their lives living together. He couldn't stop loving her, not even after almost killing him countless times, not even after she could not remember their feelings, their promise, their bond. Tears began streaming down red cheeks, hands trembling with a powerful emotion she kept hidden for the past two weeks afraid that it might be too much after all was said and done.
"Talk to me." Naruto dropped the bag in which Sakura's tea was tightly packed, rushing to place his hands on her shoulders.
"I love you." Y/N whispered, lips remaining parted, chest heaving with a deep rooted anxiety.
"W-what?" Naruto asked, shock written all over his face as he studied the face he could not forget, not even in death.
"I remembered, Naruto." she continued, searching for the moment in which he would look away at the next words. "T-two w-weeks ago."
"Everything?" he swallowed hard, wanting to make sure that all of it was etched back into her head, not avoiding her gaze for a split second, not caring that she did not tell him right away.
"Everything." Y/N replied with a small nod, hands grabbing at his opened jacket, tugging towards her. "I love you and I am so, so sorry for making you wait this long."
Forehead crashing into Naruto's chest, she let it all out, sobs and gasps between hot tears cleansed the heart and soul of a girl that was mending the cracks in them, all closing one by one with every passing second in which her life became complete. Naruto stood there, one hand resting on top of her head while the other was wrapped around the waist, absorbing all the pain the woman he loved felt in that moment, catching up to lost emotions and feelings that have been forsaken for years.
"I'm sorry." Y/N uttered for the tenth time. "You waited too long."
"Don't." Naruto replied, hand moving from her head and under the chin to push it up slightly, wanting to see all of that love pooling into the eyes that haunted him for years. "It was all worth it and I would not have it any other way."
Pulling back slightly, her hands let go of the jacket and went to cup his whiskered cheeks, a loving smile adorning his lips as Y/N met them without wasting another second. Naruto hummed at the contact, finally being blessed with the touch and feeling he had searched for all of these years. Love and fervor danced with the softness of each other's lips, allowing themselves more space as the second went by, tongues meeting to seal shut a promise made under the innocence of a joke that was bound to turn into a fated future.
"I love you." Y/N whispered against his feverish lips. "I love you."
"Say it again." Naruto said, pulling her upwards, legs circling around his waist tightly, arms wrapping around the shoulders, completely flushed against him in fear of not losing each other again.
"I love you so much." she obeyed willingly, wanting nothing more than to say it for the rest of her life, lips pressing against his and stealing yet another kiss.
"Will you let me be yours?" Naruto asked, heartwarming vulnerability gracing the tonality of his voice as they stood in the middle of the hallway.
"Yes, please." Y/N replied, pushing back the tears threatening to spill again at how their hearts thumped into heaving chests in sync. "Can it be forever?"
"I wouldn't have it any other way." he replied, kisses being stolen between words as he carried her towards the bedroom.
"If you are mine .." Y/N whispered, lips peppering small kisses along his jawline. ".. then I want to be yours."
Two beings shattered in the twisted fate of life, not even the greatest of evils capable to withstand the most deepest of bonds, where hearts became one under the spell love binds existence with as one's soul hummed a unique song recognized only in the purest of forms by its fated other.

After graduation, Jordyn moved to an apartment in Bluewater Village. She was hired on full-time at Zarro Health Incorporated, and would be working with her Uncle Nathan at the hospital. The apartment was just down the street, making her commute an easy 15 minute walk. She hadn’t been to the neighborhood much, but was soon starting to love it.
Tumblr media
The only problem was a particularly loud upstairs neighbor. She took the stairs to the third floor and knocked on the door, prepared to chew out whoever this heavy-footed person stomping around was. When the door opened, her breath caught in her chest as she gazed at a very, very handsome man in a suit. “Can I help you?” he asked. “Um,” Jordyn said, all but forgetting what she’d come to say. “Hello.” “Hello...,” he said slowly. “Do you need something?”
Tumblr media
“Uh, no actually,” Jordyn said, sticking out her hand to shake. “I’m, uh, new to the building, and I’ve just been going around introducing myself to all my fantastic new neighbors. I’m Jordyn Platz.” “Wyatt Quinn,” he said, shaking her hand. “Nice to meet you.” “Likewise,” she said, her voice a little too high-pitched. “I’m right downstairs.” “Ah, ok,” said Wyatt. “Sorry for all the noise, maintenance is fixing a leak. I promise I’m not usually this loud.” “Oh, no worries at all,” Jordyn said, feeling her cheeks heat up. “Um, well, I gotta go. But, hopefully we run into each other again soon!” “I hope so,” said Wyatt with a smile.
Tumblr media
Jordyn felt a bit weird at how fast she seemed to develop a new crush. She’d just broken up with Johnny, the only relationship she’d ever had, and was already interested in a new guy? She wasn’t sure if that was normal or to be expected, and figured it was time to have a chat with her cousins to get to the bottom of her feelings. Before that, however, she treated herself to a few nice things at the Bluewater Micro Mall.
Tumblr media
“I’m new in town,” Jordyn said as she plopped down in the chair at the salon. “Just graduated college, first real job and apartment on my own. I’m looking for something that signifies my new chapter in life.” “You’re trying to impress a man,” the hair stylist said, raising her chair. “Got it.”
Tumblr media
“Wait no, that’s not what I--” “Heard you loud and clear, honey,” the guy said. He quickly got to work, engulfing Jordyn in a cloud of pink smoke as he gave her a complete makeover.
Tumblr media
“Voila!” said the hair stylist, showing Jordyn her new look in a handheld mirror. Jordyn’s eyes widened as she looked at herself. Her puffy hair was sectioned off into darker locs, and her makeup was sharper and less subdued than it had been. She smiled at herself in the mirror. “I love it!” she exclaimed. “This is so cool, thank you!” “Anytime, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
Jordyn hoofed it up the steps to her apartment, a million thoughts zooming through her head. Unfocused, she slammed into Wyatt at the top of the stairs, nearly sending him flying. “Holy shit!” she exclaimed. “God, I’m so sorry! I didn’t see you there.” “No worries,” Wyatt said, dramatically rubbing his shoulder. “Wouldn’t be the first time I got bowled over by a beautiful woman.”
Tumblr media
“Beautiful?” Jordyn repeated, a blush creeping up her cheeks. “Very,” Wyatt said with a smile. “I like the new look. Reminds me of my MCR days.” Jordyn laughed. “You had an emo phase?” she asked. “Didn’t we all?” Wyatt said. “Is this yours?” “I think this is more of my ‘I have no idea what I’m doing and just trying to figure my life out’ phase,” said Jordyn. “Well, I think you’re pulling it off very nicely,” Wyatt said.
Tumblr media
“Thank you,” Jordyn said bashfully. Wyatt leaned in closer, making Jordyn’s breath catch in her chest. “This might be a bit forward, and I understand if it’s too awkward seeing as we live in the same building, but would you want to go to dinner?” Wyatt asked. “Dinner?” Jordyn asked. “Like, on a date?” “Yes, like on a date,” said Wyatt with a charming smile. Jordyn gulped. She wasn’t sure! She’d only just broken up with Johnny; was it too soon to be dating someone new already. Wyatt noticed her apprehension. “It’s ok if the answer’s no,” he said. “I completely understand.” “I’d love to,” Jordyn blurted out, unable to spend anymore time thinking on it.

new year. time to reflect on the old one lol
ive been working as an RN since april at this hospital and its been going pretty well...always hectic lol making good money though, learning a lot, i ejoy working with most of my coworkers
ive been good about saving my money this year i plan to sit down with someone and get concrete ideas of what exactly i need money wise to buy a house.
i had a lot of really cool thrift finds this year, i also got closer with some of my cousins that i hadnt spoken to in a long time. and i hope to hang out with them even more this year.
ive also tried and failed to repair the relationship between myself and my sisters multiple times and i will always flip flop on my thoughts/feelings on this issue but right now in this moment...i am okay with not talking to them. i am okay with distancing myself from people that consistently think the worst of me and my parents despite everything...its just such a shitshow situation and right now im completely fine avoiding them entirely.
my one true goal this year is to make it to ireland, im so excited to go even though the thought of traveling makes me extremely stressed and anxious lol

Hey
Can you please write a Joe x wife reader where Joe and reader have been trying to get pregnant for a while and then reader finds out their pregnant and tells Joe in a cute way and he can’t contain his happiness
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Joe Burrow x fem first person
Words: 1600
Notes: since it’s my bday week and I’m having so much fun writing, I’m trying to get out fics a little faster this week! :)) thanks for the Request. <3
My eyes filled with tears as soon as I flipped over the pregnancy test and saw those two blue lines on the ClearBlue test. For 7 whole months Joe and I have been trying to get pregnant. We started after our wedding, hoping to see those two blue lines within two weeks, but two weeks turned into a month, and one into seven. Every single time we flipped over that test and saw one line and not two, we tried our best to stay positive, but it was hard. There were so many tears and I felt like we should just give up. I didn’t know how many more times I could take Joe’s same speech over and over again about how no matter how long it took, we would have our little family one day.
But now I was pregnant. I didn’t have to look into Joe’s eyes and tell him we weren’t pregnant for the millionth time. I didn’t have to stare into Joe’s blue eyes while he tried to hold back tears of sadness and watch as the hope was slowly draining from him.
As I looked up at myself in the mirror, tears rolled down my face and onto the counter under me. I was going to be a mom. It felt surreal to look at my stomach and realize that there was a little growing baby inside. I put my shaking hand over my mouth and I couldn’t stop looking at those 2 blue lines and at myself in the mirror. I couldn’t believe it. I felt like I was on top of the world and thinking about telling Joe in just a couple of hours when he came home from practice overjoyed me. “I’m pregnant.” I told myself, not able to contain my excitement.
For the next two hours, time seemed to be going so slow. Every time I looked at my phone and expected a half an hour to pass, only ten minutes passed. I was restless. I wanted to tell Joe so badly. I wanted to see the look on his face when he realized he was going to be a dad in just nine months. Not only were we going to be parents together, but I would get to raise a child with the most amazing man ever who isn’t just easy on the eyes, but is an incredibly person inside and out.
When I finally got the text from Joe saying he was on his way home, I practically sprinted upstairs and to my nightstand drawer where I kept a little mini Joe Burrow jersey and laid that down on the bed with the test on it. From the moment we started trying to get pregnant, I knew that I wanted to surprise him with his little jersey for our little son or daughter to wear when they’re born.
I sat on the bed and tried to pick through my different emotions. I was nervous, anxious, happy, worried, but mostly excited. Excited to be a mom. Excited to start our little family. From the moment I fell in love with Joe, I knew I wanted to create a family with him and now that was becoming a reality. Before we knew it, we’d have a little mini Burrow running around the house acting like a fool, and I couldn’t wait. Hey, maybe I was even carrying twins.
Before I knew it, I heard the front door swing open and just like clockwork, Joe said, “I’m home.” As soon as he said this, I couldn’t hold back the tears and started to cry some more. I just couldn’t contain the excitement. “Jordyn?” Joe called out, sounding a little worried, wondering why I wasn’t running over to give him a hug and ask him how his day was like usual. I wiped off a tear and sniffled back the tears a little bit. “Up here.” I answered him and stood up to meet him by the door. As I walked to the door frame, I could hear Joes footsteps getting closer and closer. My heart beat so incredibly fast in my chest and I couldn’t stop smiling.
As soon as Joe came into view and saw me crying, he dropped the bag that he was holding immediately. “hey, hey, are you okay?” He asked me and wrapped my in his arms. One hand was placed around my waist, pulling me closer to him, and the other was placed on the back of my head. With a smile, I wrapped my arms around his neck, running my fingers through his hair he decided to grow out for the season. “Everything is more than okay, Joey.” I said. Once I said this, Joe pulled back to look me in the eyes and once he did, I noticed the slightly confused look on his face.
Leaning forwards, I placed a small kiss on joes lips and then let out a breath I didn’t even know I was holding in. “Go look on the bed.” I said. Joe looked past me and at the bed and noticed something laying on it, but I could tell he was still confused. Dropping my arms from around Joes neck, he slowly let go of me as well and walked closer to the bed. I followed after him, waiting for him to realize that he was going to be a dad.
A small gasp left Joe’s lips as the realization that I was pregnant set in. I couldn’t help but smile as he reached down and grabbed the pregnancy test. After a few seconds, I walked to the side of him and watched as he ran his fingers over the mini jersey while holding the pregnancy test in his other hand. As I studied Joe’s face, I started to get nervous. There was almost no emotion or expression on his face. What if he changed his mind about kids? What if he didn’t want me to be pregnant right now.
Before I started to freak myself out more, Joe looked over at me with those gorgeous, tear filled blue eyes. “Oh wow.” Joe said simply as his bottom lip began to quiver slightly. I sucked in a breath at his reaction and started to cry more myself. Joe put his hand on his chest and took a step back, taking everything in. He kept looking at me, then the pregnancy test, me, then the pregnancy test. “I’m going to be a dad?” Joe asked me excitedly. “You’re going to be a dad.” I said, wiping off a tear that streamed down my cheek. The both of us started crying more as he closed the distance between us and wrapped his arms around me. Without me expecting it, he picked me up off of the ground gently and spun around in a circle, a little excited laugh leaving his mouth. I giggled while up in the air before he placed me back down on the ground.
Once down on the ground, we both held each other so incredibly tightly, so overwhelmed with the news. I buried my head in Joe’s chest and I could tell he was crying quietly. Unlike every other time we flipped the test over, they were happy and relieved tears. After so long of trying and feeling like nothing would work, he was finally going to be a dad. “I can’t believe this,” Joe said and pulled his head back, revealing his red eyes and nose, “our little baby’s in here right now.” He said, letting out a deep breath while looking down at my stomach.
It was hard for me to talk because of the tears. I opened my mouth to say something, but I knew if I tried to talk I would cry harder. With a smile, Joe took his hands off of me for a second and swiped his thumbs under my eyes to catch the tears before holding my face gently in his hands. He nodded with a small smile, letting me know he understood what I wanted to say. Letting go of Joe, I did the same thing and swiped under his eyes, getting a laugh out of both of us before gently grabbing his wrists, the both of us just gazing into each other’s eyes. I took a deep breath and let it out with a small laugh.
“We’re gonna be parent’s, Joey. Can you believe it?” I asked him. Joe just shook his head and looked back at the pregnancy test. “No. No, not really.” He chuckled and sniffled a little. “At least we know why you were sick this morning before I left for practice.” Joe said. “I totally thought it was those crab legs, they looked a little bit odd.” I giggled. Joe laughed and nodded. “They did look a bit funky didn’t they?” As we looked into each others eyes, Joe looked at me like I was the most beautiful, fragile, perfect women on the entire planet before closing the distance and placing a kiss on my lips. When we pulled away, we rested our foreheads together while making eye contact. “I love you…and our baby,” Joe said and looked down at my stomach, “more than anything in the entire universe.” Joe said. “Even SpongeBob?” I joked with him. “Yes, even SpongeBob.” Joe laughed and nodded. “Well in that case, I love you…and this baby,” I said and glanced down at my stomach like Joe did, “more than anything in the entire universe as well Joseph Lee Burrow.” I said.

Be a Good Teammate pt.3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jessie Fleming x USWNT!Reader (also Seattle!Reader)
Read Part 1, Part 2
Preview: You and Jessie face off in the NWSL
Warnings: very minor injury, bloody nose
WC: 3.6k
A/N: okay so I sort of lied, this was supposed to be the part where they grab dinner but then I sat down to write it and it was going to be way too long for one part, so here’s part 3. Part 4 will be the dinner, I promise.
A short day later and here you were, lined up in the tunnel, staring at the back of Nikki’s head while you shook out your legs, alternating side to side. You hated standing in the tunnel before a game, it gave you too much time to think. Thinking about all the details, all the moves, all the plays. You easily got into your own head, you worked yourself up. Even though you knew all those feelings would disappear as the game started, you couldn't shake the feelings. This time, it was especially bad, the words of your coach running through your mind. You couldn't let her down, you had promised you’d have your act together, and you did, you thought. Practice yesterday was a little rocky but you were back to playing closer to yourself, it felt comfortable again.
You heard the noise of boots against the concrete and you saw Sinc walk up, leading the rest of her team to line up next to yours. You watched the back of the first three players walk by following in line before you recognized the back of Jessie’s head. She ends up stopping only slightly in front of you. Keeping your head forward, you let your eyes wander over to her, not wanting to make it obvious you were looking over at her to the players behind you. Looking up and down you take in her frame for the first time since in San Diego. As if she can feel your eyes burning a hole through the back of her head you see her begin to turn in your direction. Not wanting her to see that you had been watching her, you snap your head down, looking at the floor and pretending to shake out your ankle again.
You pick your head back up but keep your eyes glued to the back of Nikki’s head. You can see in your peripheral that Jessie’s head is still turned toward you. Giving in, you turn slightly instantly making eye contact with her. The eye contact only lasts a moment as she spins back to face forward and you do the same.
Both captains begin walking forward, you follow in line through the tunnel before splitting off to each side of the pitch. You line up, stand through the national anthem, take your starting XI photo and then stand around as the captains meet with the officials.
“Are you and Jess friends again?” Jordyn asked as you both stood watching the officials talk with Sinclair and Fishlock.
“I don’t know, we've talked a bit recently, but friends I don't know.” Yes you wanted to sit here and tell Jordyn that you were friends but you didn't know how Jessie felt about calling you friends again so you weren't going to assume you were. “Why do you ask?”
“No reason, she mentioned you talked with her after the gold cup game and then just saw you two doing weird staring in the tunnel.”
“I wasn't staring.” You try to defend yourself but Jordyn begins heading to her pitch location, you follow running to the far side of the pitch. You look across the pitch to the other side, seeing Jessie standing across from you, you should not be surprised but it just kicked in that you'd be marking her most of the game, again.
The first half of the game goes about as smooth as you could hope, you feel like yourself again playing. That isn't to say the game itself is easy, Jessie was keeping you on your toes, most of the time you were able to keep up with her, only once letting her get a perfect long pass, leading to a goal. The score was 1-0 in favor of Portland as you headed into the locker room.
The mood of your teammates varied, some of them frustrated, some annoyed, others showing little to no emotion as you entered the locker room. You couldn't help but feel a bit out of place, you were feeling satisfied, dare you say a little proud of your performance, Portland is a good team, you were keeping up for the most part. Specifically you had been playing like you knew you could. Your teammates were spread across the locker room stretching, snacking, talking to each other, you took the break to sit down off to the side, sipping from a gatorade. Your coach came walking over, stopping in front of your cubby.
“Are you doing alright today?” She kept her voice low, out of ear shot of any of your fellow players.
“Yeah, I feel like myself again.” You're hoping she noticed as well and that she wasn't about to break the news that you'd be subbed out for the second half, a small pit of nerves starting to grow in your stomach.
“It looks like it, you're doing well, I know Fleming can be hard to mark, not much you could do on the long ball. I just still wanted to make sure you were doing okay.”
“I’m good.” She doesn’t say anything else to you, turning away to go talk with the other coaches. You continue to keep to yourself, waiting for the rest of halftime to be over.
You head out on the pitch and the game starts back up again. In the same fashion that Jessie had, a couple minutes in you're able to get the ball away from her and enough clearance to send it long toward the goal, bouncing off the head of Jordyn and into the goal. You run, celebrating in the arms of Jordyn and Alana.
The game continues on, not much excitement, no goal scoring chances being made by either team. The ball goes out off the foot of your teammate. The ball is thrown in, bouncing up off a Portland player sending it high in the air in your direction. In an attempt to knock it to a teammate you jump, Jessie having the same idea, also jumps. Her body crashes into yours, her head coming into contact with your face as you both come down.  Upon your feet coming back to the ground you drop to your knees, hand covering your nose as the pain makes your eyes begin to water. The ball no longer in your section of the field Jessie doesn't move far from you. She places her hand on your back and sends a shout to the official to get them to pause play.
“I’m so sorry.” You hear her say, you don't see her as your eyes are clamped shut in an attempt to ease the pain coming from your nose.
You hear the whistle and before you know it the training team is kneeling next to you, trying to pull your hand off of your face. You only open your eyes when they start talking to you, asking if you're okay. You glance at your hand, seeing the trails of blood running down your palm and dripping into the grass. You’re handed a water bottle and told to take a sip, you do before spitting it out, the flavor tasting like metal. You get handed a wipe to clean up your hands, nose, lips, and chin where the blood had covered.
The training staff make you sit back on your butt as they continue to look at you. One member of the staff feels up and down your nose, he comments that it doesn't feel broken which you are grateful for, you didn't want to deal with a crooked nose or needing surgery. Rolls of gauze are shoved into your nose and an ice pack is being pushed onto your face causing more pain as they have you hold your head back but you're not going to complain. Now standing over you is Quinn, the rest of the team gathered by the bench chatting. You catch a glimpse of Jessie in the Portland huddle, her head still turned back toward you watching you be tended to.
“Are you good to stand up?” The trainer to your right asks, she holds out more gauze to you, you take it, placing the bloodied gause from your nose into her gloved hand.
“Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just some pain.” You stand up with the assistance of Quinn and the trainers. They hold on to you, pulling you off to the side of the pitch.
“You can’t go back in while you're actively bleeding.”
“I know.” You roll your eyes, hating that rule right now. The pain was bad but it’s not like it was your legs or something essential to playing. You stay standing as you wait, swapping out your gauze once more, less and less blood coming out of your nose. Your team returns onto the pitch, the game resuming. It’s hard having to stand and watch, especially as your team is down a player, tied with only a few minutes to go.
Being down a player does not go in your team's favor as Portland is able to move the ball up the field, slotting it past your keeper and into the goal, taking the lead.
You watch for another two minutes before you take out the gauze in your nose, not replacing it this time as the bleeding has stopped. You turn to the trainer, letting him look at your nose one last time.
“You’re good, no more blood. You're probably going to have two black eyes when you wake up tomorrow though.” The trainer informs you as he takes the ice pack and gauze from you.
You thank him quickly before running and getting the attention of the official to confirm you could re-enter the game. She nods you on and you take off across the pitch. The game only had a few minutes left in regular play. Those minutes end and you now have 8 minutes of stoppage to play through, probably 5 of those being due to your nose. Your team tries to tie it up, having a few shots on goal but to no success as the final whistle blows.
Instead of immediately going to tell the other team ‘good game’, you head over to the bench, grabbing another ice pack to hold to your face, your nose still throbbing. Ice pack in hand and pressed to your face you start making your way over to some of the Portland players, first seeing your fellow US teammates, then making your way to the other players, most of them asking how your nose is. You tell everyone its fine, adding that it's hopefully not broken.
Once you've talked with the majority of Portland and had your own teammates check in on you, you see Jessie standing with her fellow Canadians from both her team and yours. You haven't yet gotten to talk with Jessie, congratulate her on the assist and the well played game. Not wanting to interrupt her conversation with Quinn, Jordyn, Sinc, and Janine you just stand off to the side, trying not to make it obvious that you are waiting for her.
Jessie notices you standing alone, she excuses herself from her national teammates, stating she needs to go apologize.
“Hey.” Jessie approaches you, a sympathetic smile on her face. “How’s the nose?” She gestures to the ice pack you're holding.
“It hurts.” You state the obvious looking back at her. “They don't think it's broken though so that's good.”
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to.” She apologizes for the second time today.
“It's fine Jessie, seriously don't worry about it, we both went for the ball.” You know she wouldn't intentionally have hit you, even if you were no longer friends, she wasn't like that. “Now if it was broken, I’d feel different.” You joke at her.
“You’ll probably have a nice black eye or two tomorrow eh?”
“That's what I’ve been told.” You hoped that everyone's statements wouldn't be true but you knew you were likely to wake up with a shiner, feeling the under of your eyes already a bit swollen. You both stand there, letting silence creep up, not knowing what to say next. You take the ice pack off your face, holding it in your hand as it is losing its temperature. Jessie takes a sip from her water bottle, just looking at you.
“Hey are we getting a UCLA alumni jersey swap?” The silence between you is broken and you both turn to see the Thorns social media manager standing in front of you, a large camera around his neck. You look down at your jersey, checking if any blood had gotten on it earlier in the game, thankfully there isn't any. Not knowing what to say you turn back to look at Jessie.
“I mean we can, if you want?” Shrugging her shoulders as she says it, it appears she doesn’t care either way. Part of you wishes she did care, you want her to want to swap jerseys with you.
“Why not?” Agreeing, you move one hand to the collar of your shirt, the other to your back pulling it up and over your head. Jessie does the same only she pulls hers from the bottom causing it to turn inside out. She goes to hand it to you and realizes it’s inside out, quickly taking it back as she twists it to be right.
You watch her carefully as she manipulates the fabric, you couldn’t help it. Her toned stomach and shoulders on display without her shirt, the way her forearm muscle popped out as she worked to fix the shirt. You hear the click of the camera and realize it’s going to be obvious you were staring in the photo. You glance away not needing any more evidence of your crush.
Jessie reaches out, this time with her jersey the right way and you pass her yours. You both grab the tops of them, holding them out in front of you to display each other's name and number. Once the photographer takes a few photos you turn back toward Jessie, bunching up the shirt before putting it over your head and your arms in. She does the same with your shirt. You’re hit with the smell of Jessie. Sure it was mixed with the smell of her sweat but it still smelled just like her. It reminded you of being in college, even the sweat part, you had spent plenty of time together you both drenched in sweat that it brought fond memories to the surface.
Memories of laying on the field after practice just enjoying the sun, driving together to and from practice, windows down in the car, nights spent studying in hotel room floors on away trips, all of the memories of you and her, all attached to that smell.
“Thanks girls.” The camera man turns away walking over to where Jessie's teammates were starting to make their way around and into the locker room.
“I should probably go.” Jessie turns to see her teammates heading in.
“Yeah of course.” You debate telling her you'll see her later for your dinner plans but decide against it, not wanting to bring it up on the spot.
You turn to head to your own locker room. You sit through a quick team meeting, which consists of a quick recap of the game, where everyone did well and where there needs to be improvement. Your coach informs you that she’s canceling practice for the following morning, wanting everyone to have the day to recover and take a break. A few of the players begin to make arrangements to travel home that night no longer having an obligation to stay in Portland for an extra day. Your roommate was one to decide to leave, meaning you'd have a quiet hotel room to come back to at the end of the night. The meeting ends and everyone scatters, some girls going to get showers, some packing up, some going to begin their recovery.
You head to the physio room, they look over your nose again, confirming that they don't believe it's broken. You get handed some pain meds, told to keep icing it on and off, and to meet back with the trainers tomorrow before you head home. You hop off the table, and grab another ice pack on your way back to the changing room.
Returning to your cubby, you start grabbing your towel and clothes to shower and change. You curse yourself earlier for wearing jeans as your pregame outfit. As you grab your clothes out of your bag you see your phone light up. Grabbing it you begin reading the texts.
Jessie (USA): Any chance I could get a raincheck on going out?
The text from Jessie stared back at you. The excitement drains from your body, your heart feeling heavy as you read it over and over.
Jessie (USA): Sorry to cancel our plans, just not feeling going out after the game, would much rather throw on sweats and sit on the couch.
You understood, of course you did, having just ran around with her the whole 90, you can see why she’s tired. Your legs are starting to feel tight, you always run more than usual when you’re marking Jessie who seems to easily cover 95% of the field. The weather probably didn’t help either, no one wants to get dressed up to go out after running around in the cold all afternoon. You couldn’t lie, sweatpants sounded perfect right about now.
Jessie (USA): Can we do takeout at my place or something instead?
Relief washes over your body as you realize she still wants to see you.
Jessie (USA): Sorry for all the texts.
“Yo Fleming get your head out of your phone, I’m talking to you.” Your head snaps up at the mention of Jessie’s name. You see Jess Fishlock staring at you. You look at her confused.
“What?” You’re more responding to the fact that she just referred to you as Fleming and less asking for her to repeat what she had said to you previously. She grabs her own jersey top, giving it a tug before pointing at your chest, you connect the dots seeing why she called you what she did, you’re still wearing Jessie’s shirt.
“We’re going out, we lost but we still want to enjoy the trip, are you in?” She repeats her question to you, a couple other members of the team now watching you awaiting your response.
“No, I actually have plans.” A collection of  ‘ooo’ and a couple whistles come from your teammates around you.
“Must be a hot date with whoever she’s been texting so damn much.” Jess’ wife, Tziarra, teases.
“She was texting someone on the bus ride too, smiling at her phone and everything.” You shoot a glare at Alana who shouts out from across the dressing room. Your face is now starting to blend in to match the red thorns jersey.
“It’s not a date, I’m just catching up with Jessie.”
“Hard to argue that it's not a date when you're wearing her jersey. Just saying.” Tziarra comments, her eyebrows raising with a hinting look.
Not responding, you take the collar of the Thorns jersey and rip it over your head, throwing it with some force into your locker.
“Not a date, we’re not even really friends.” You emphasize throwing your hands out in display that you no longer had her shirt on.
You grab your towel and phone, opening it to respond to Jessie.
You: Yeah that's fine, I wouldn’t want to be having to ask our server for a bag of ice every 20 minutes anyway.
You put your phone back into your cubby and head to the shower. You take a quick shower, rushing a bit, wanting to get out of the stadium and back to the hotel so you could put on sweats that you had waiting for you. You hop out, wrapping yourself in a towel and head to get changed.
Jessie (USA): Do you still like Thai food? I know a pretty good place.
You:  Yeah that's great. We're headed back to the hotel in the next few and then I can head your way.
You put your phone back and let your towel fall, change into your clothes and then sit down waiting for the rest of your team to be ready to leave.
It only takes a few minutes until everyone is walking out to the bus. Thinking you'll have a seat alone again you prop your legs up again. Your lounging state only lasts a minute before Fishlock is picking up your legs, throwing herself down in the seat next to you.
“Not friends and not a date huh?”
“I told you earlier no, She and I just got back into contact.” Trying your best to stop the teasing that you fear will never end from your team.
“Where are you going to dinner? Is she taking you somewhere romantic?”
“We’re not going out anywhere, we're doing takeout.” Jess lets out a laugh at your response, quickly covering her own mouth.
“So not a date, you're just going over to her place? Whatever you say.” You see her eyes roll. She leans over and whispers. “Hope you packed some cute underwear.” You hear the comment but it doesn't comprehend what she was implying.
“She has a girlfriend.” The only words you think to respond, not having anything else to defend yourself with. You prop your legs back up on her since she was the one to move them, if she wanted to sit there she'd have to deal with it. You grab your phone seeing Jessie had sent you her address and a message to just let her know when you had arrived. You feel nerves begin to rise in your stomach, you're not sure why though, like you said, she has a girlfriend, it's not a date.

Hiii!! May I request a naruto x fem!reader please? Can it be aftercare naruto like him and his s/o we’re done being intimate together and naruto taking care of his s/o after.
Hiiiiiiii! 🥰
I'm a bit late to the party unfortunately as it took me a while to resume writing for my asks 😩 but i pulled through -
Here it is a bit of sweetness with our foxy boy we love so much 😌 Hope you'll enjoy 😇
Head hitting the pillow, your body spasms from the overwhelming orgasm were yet to subside, panting bouncing off the walls, stars shining on the bedroom's ceiling as a serene smile curved up your lips, eyes filled with nothing but pure ecstasy. Words were simply evading you, brain unable to put two and two together just yet as it was still in the process of absorbing all the pleasure, twisting and turning it into shiver remnants of what has been unfolding in the room for the past two hours. Your husband's body dropped onto the mattress, glistening with the sweat of a job well done, his hand reaching for yours and pulling you closer to him, lips meeting the feverish forehead, bodies molding together once again. A sigh rolled off your lips at the touch, unable to move up and meet his eyes that were solely trained on your form.
"That was .." Naruto whispered, letting a deep breath that has been nestled into his chest since he came, taking in the peacefulness of the moment.
"Oh, I know!" you replied, voice coming out in waves of various tonalities due to the panting that was slowly starting to resume into normal breathing. "Argh!"
"What's wrong?" Naruto jumped, carefully settling your body on its back, softly bushing away every hair strand out of place. "Was I too rough?"
"No, baby." you replied, fingers brushing lightly across his cheek while getting lost into those beautiful baby blue eyes that have stolen your heart more than 16 years ago. "There is no such thing as too rough with us."
Naruto did not reply, frowning slightly seeing how your back would arch in a not so subtle movement, trying to alleviate the discomfort of him bending you in abnormal positions. Lips capturing each other in a loving kiss, the hunger being all consumed for now, Naruto stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom. Laying there, fingers brushing along the freshly kissed lips, you thought about how lucky you were for having him standing by your side, all of the moments since being children rushing before your tired eyes, flashing as if it was a past life.
The bathroom door opened suddenly, Naruto's naked and sculpted form approaching the bed, eyebrow raised at the way his eyes traveled up and down your body. Bending over the bed, his strong arms picked you up bridal style, carrying you into the bathroom where the heavy warmth sent shivers down your spine. The bath was all settled, watermelon and bubbly white foam coating the water that filled up the tub. With the way the steam was slowly dissipating into the air, you realized he also chose the perfect, scorching temperature in which you always showered or bathed. Naruto placed a quick kiss on your cheek before descending your body into the water slowly in order to easily adjust to the warmth pinching all the soreness.
"Oh, God .." you sighed deeply, feeling the way each limb stretched under the caress of watermelon scented water.
"This good, baby?" Naruto asked, his body sinking into the bathtub behind, legs opening to welcome you in between them, back resting against his chest.
"Perfect." you replied, eyes closing in to take in the moment.
As you relaxed into the feeling of warmth untangling all the soreness he gave you, Naruto took each arm into his hands and slowly began massaging along them, adding a bit of pressure in order to release yours. Humming, body sinking slightly deeper into the water, he placed a kiss on your shoulder before moving to the neck. Head bowed forward, Naruto grabbed a hair tie placed on the edge of the bathtub, where you kept some specifically for this, swiftly pulling all of it into a messy bun, and began rubbing gently on the most tensed part of your body. Small groans and sighs escaped, Naruto chuckling softly at how much you were enjoying this. He could not help himself from peppering kisses all over your neck and shoulders, placing the most in between the shoulder-blades, one of his most favorite places to press his cheek when sleeping.
"Don't fall asleep on me, my love." he whispered into your ear before releasing the hair from the bun. "I'm not done."
Reaching above his head, Naruto grabbed a bottle of shampoo and another for conditioner, placing them both on the corner of the bathtub. You hummed in pleasure sensing the cold liquid being poured on top of your head, Naruto's fingers expertly massaging the scalp and spreading it all over, not missing a single strand.
"s good .." you whisper, tongue losing into the perfect, tingling sensation of his fingers working with such skill.
"You've been so good to me tonight." Naruto said, going in to remove all the shampoo from your hair. "Now it's my turn to be good to you."
Somehow, his words only made you shiver even more, hairs raising on your body, breath hitching at what the first sentence implied.
"Later, I promise." Naruto chuckled, noticing how your body responded to anything remotely sexual that came from him.
After shampooing and applying conditioner, he let it set while watching your fingers aimlessly tracing along his legs, back arching from time to time as all the soreness was not uncomfortable anymore. When your body was soaked properly, hair and body washed without a single intervention from your side, Naruto cleaned himself as well and got out of the bathtub, helping your tired body into a plush bathrobe. He made sure every bit was covered, tying it around hard enough to not fall but also to not apply too much pressure on your skin. After all these years, Naruto was completely familiar with what creams, lotions or oils you were using, choosing your favorite night lotion, applying evenly all over the skin of your face, pinching playfully a bit at the cheeks, wanting to see that childish smile of yours whenever he was taking such care.
"Thank you." you said with a small blush, fingers intertwined with his as he led you back into the bedroom. "It was perfect."
"Not yet." Naruto grinned over the shoulder, your eyebrows shot up in surprise seeing how he was pulling you past the bed, out of the room and into the kitchen.
Naruto was the type of husband to use the height he possessed to his advantage, enjoying every single time you could not reach one of the glasses set into the top cupboard. Therefore, hands went under the armpits as you were lifted up the same way you are picking up the children now and placed on the high stool by the kitchen island.
"I am not that small." you sighed, nose scrunching up.
"For me you are." Naruto chuckled, quick kiss pinching your reddish from the bath steam nose. "Short stuff."
Picking up one of the clean dish rags laying around, you threw it at him only for your husband to catch it and laugh. His bare form turned around, only a towel carelessly hanging on the hips, offering you an image that could easily turn relaxation into desire, into that deep want you always had for him, muscles tensing beautifully as he opened the freezer. The brightest smile that one could have, looking as if touched by the sun itself, split across your face seeing what Naruto was holding.
"Is that .." you gasped noticing the label, water pooling into your mouth rapidly.
"Yes." Naruto wiggled his eyebrows, grabbing two spoons from a nearby drawer.
"With the big chocolate chunks?" you asked, mesmerized by the ice cream tub being placed in front of you.
"Yes." Naruto replied tapping the sealed lid.
"And the swirl of salted caramel and dark chocolate syrups?" you went again as if seeing it for the first time, face displaying nothing but surprise.
"Mhm." your husband laughed, taking it away and walking towards the couch where he sat cross-legged.
"B-but .." you rushed, jumping off the stool and settling immediately into his lap, always sitting like this when sharing food or sweets. "I have searched in all Konoha."
"I had it delivered from another village." Naruto replied handing you a spoon and taking off the lid.
"What?!" you asked in shock. "You didn't had to."
"Are you happy?" he asked, watching how you took the spoon to your mouth and tasted the ice cream, a pleasured groan escaping.
"Yes, yes I am." you replied leaning into his back.
"Then I had to." Naruto smiled, fingers working up and catching your chin in between them, turning your head to face him. "I'd do anything to see you happy and smiling."
"Naruto .." you whispered, faint blush pinching your words as if it was the first time hearing these words.
"I love you." he said, lips brushing softly against each other.
"I love you too." the reply came instantly, deep and full of nothing but love kiss ensuing between a happy, adoring wife and a beyond in love husband.
Sixteen years since you chose him. Fourteen years since he made you his.

“Look, Noah, I think Seven likes the fireflies!” Jordyn squealed as she played with her cat. Her older cousin scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Beat it, kid,” he said. “Can’t you see we’re busy?” Noah’s girlfriend Eliza nuzzled his shoulder as she looked on. “Aww, it’s kinda cute though,” Eliza said. “See, not everyone’s a grouch like you,” Jordyn said with a laugh.
Tumblr media
Noah and Jordyn came inside the house a little while later. Oliver was lounging on the couch in the living room, as usual. Noah was getting sick of being forced to live with his deadbeat uncle and little cousin, and he wasn’t afraid to let it show. “You go to work today, or just get plastered while my dad pays all your bills?” Noah asked as he came inside.
Tumblr media
Oliver scrambled to his feet and got all up in Noah’s face. “Say that shit to my face, tough guy,” Oliver said. Noah rolled his eyes. “That’s ok, I already got my answer,” he said. “Your breath smells like a goddamn distillery.” Noah walked away before Oliver could follow up.
Tumblr media
Jordyn immediately went upstairs; she didn’t want to have to deal with her dad drunkenly fighting with the family. She’d had enough of that to last a lifetime. Instead, she took to her small corner of the upstairs hallway and played with her toys. Not having a bedroom wasn’t a big deal, she thought. She was grateful that she had this over nothing.
Tumblr media
Downstairs, Oliver stumbled outside, trying to remember where he was going. Before he knew it, he’d tripped and fell in the middle of the pavement. He struggled to gather himself, holding his knees close to his chest. He couldn’t help but start to cry. He’d lost everything. His wife, the love of his life, was dead and she wasn’t coming back. He’d made enemies of his nephew and niece, and even his own daughter didn’t want to be around him anymore. He lost his job, and had nothing anymore. There was nothing left.
Tumblr media
“Oliver.” He looked up when he heard his name to see his twin brother Isaac standing in front of him. Isaac helped him to his feet and Oliver wiped his tears, trying to gather himself. “I’m fine,” Oliver said. “I’m good.” “Dude, you are not fine,” Isaac said firmly. “I know shit’s been tough for you ever since Cara died. And I am so sorry, bro. I know you’re hurting. But you can’t stay in this place forever. You have a family that loves you. And most importantly, you have a daughter that needs you.”
Tumblr media
Oliver nodded, thinking only about Jordyn. Sure, he’d lost his wife, but Jordyn also lost her mother. And with Oliver behaving the way he was, she’d practically lost her father too. Oliver burst into tears again and Isaac pulled him into a warm, comforting hug. “We’re gonna get you outta this, man,” Isaac said, holding his brother tight. “I promise you we are.”

Stranger Au
Parings: Natasha Romanoff x Black!reader
Summary: Things can only go well for so long before the inevitable cycle of past actions shows themselves once again.
A/N: I’m finally done with this part! it’s been a long time partly from writer’s block and other things in my life as well as low motivation to write anything at all.
Stranger Au Masterlist
Tumblr media
As soon as you opened the door you knew somethings was off, you hadn’t heard from Natasha since yesterday event though you two had plans today.  you open the door with clear concern as Natasha’s demeanor is the opposite or at least trying to be. “Natasha?” You don’t hide the surprise in your voice. You honestly thought she wouldn’t show up today. The plan was to drive together to Jordy’s school for a Parent teacher conference, but again you haven’t heard from her since yesterday morning, you thought she would be a no-show.
“Hey, I’m here. I made it I’m a little late but I’m here.” Natasha audibly sighs in relief to know that you’re still here and that she wasn’t too late. When the conversation was brought up about the parent teacher conference it was Natasha who suggested that you both go together, better yet that you both drive there together as well. Since that night you two have been on better terms than ever. There was no clear tension or petty bickering from either of you, just making plans for Jordyn and sticking to those plans. Natasha has been holding up on her end more consistently than before.
A clear change in her behavior. As she approached the stairs all you could do was study her. You might not be an agent anymore, but your senses are still very much active. The first thing you notice is that she’s out of breath not very visible to the normal eye but to you, you could always tell when she wasn’t one hundred percent herself. You know it’s not from her short run from the car. The next thing you notice is the slight panting and the tight clench in her jaw. You inspect her silently as she shifts under your gaze. You see her slightly clutching her rib cage.
“You’re hurt.” She’s ready to dismiss your accusations. “Don’t lie to me I can clearly see you’re hurt.” You sigh, opening the door wider. “Get your ass in here.”
“I’m fine.” You pull her to the bathroom downstairs ignoring her false claims of her wellbeing. You make quick work of getting her inside the bathroom not wanting to alert Jordy of her mama’s presence yet before you check out the damage. Not until you fully assess the situation. You instruct her to sit on the end of the toilet seat while you grab the first aid kit you might not be an agent anymore, but you still know how to address wounds, you had a six-year-old after all.
“Lift your shirt up.”
You see shock before you see her devious smile. She’s waited so long to hear those words again. She was hoping it would be under different circumstances, but she won’t complain. Natasha also wouldn’t be able to pass up this moment without teasing you about it. “Take me on a date first.” You were losing your patience and the moment she plastered that smirk on her face you had to show her you weren’t in a playing mood. You pinch her arm in retaliation. “Ouch!” She yells from the pain and soothingly rubs her arm.
“I’m not playing with you, take the shirt off before I do it for you.” She knows it’s bad and once you see the full damage you were gonna scold her even more. She made it all the way here with that gash on her stomach? You hover your hand over the open wound noticing the bruises littered in the other areas. She stares up at you just waiting for you to yell at her or something, but you never do. When you snap out of the trance you quickly turn to the first aid kit to distract you. To stop the tears from potentially falling from your eyes.
“Are you mad at me?” She searches for your eyes, but you don’t give in. Focused on treating her wounds. With how fast her heart was beating out of her chest right now she swears you can hear it loud and clear as you apply ointment and antiseptic wipes to her cuts and bruises. The way you crouched down in front of her stomach made it hard to be upset with her. Just being up close and personal with her toned body again brings back memories that you thought you buried a long time ago. Natasha doesn’t like the silence. She hated the silent treatment; she would do anything to get you to speak again. She had no shame in annoying you to hear you voice again. “Can you say something please?” She bites her lip patiently waiting for you to give her a piece of your mind, yell at her, anything.
“How could you be so reckless?” You say the words the same time as you apply unneeded pressure to her wound. She hisses in pain and doesn’t even have time to respond to you when you immediately ask another question. “Why didn’t you get this treated before coming here Nat?”
“Yes! I’m fucking mad at you.” And you end your second rambling question by finally answer her initial question. Once again with a little more force as you treat her wounds properly.
“I couldn’t be late! Okay? I needed to be here. No matter what.” She searches for eye contact that you don’t seem to be willing to give her right now.
“So, you were just gonna walk around like this?” The utter disbelief on your face has Natasha knowing she was definitely in the wrong, but she wishes you weren’t so observant. She wishes she hid it better. She wishes on her worst days you were there waiting for her, so that your hands were the only hands to patch her up and treat her wounds.
“If it meant me being there for my daughter than yes! I was” Something about it was poetic in a twisted way, she would rather be in pain than to upset her daughter. She would rather bleed out than to disappoint you both even more than she has in the past. “Do you not understand how reckless that was? there will be other parent teacher conferences Natasha!” The deep pinch in your brow and the way your nostrils flared out Natasha knew it was time to take responsibility. Her reason was valid, but she wasn’t thinking about the outcome of her decision. Like she said she’s been in far worse condition she didn’t think it was a big deal apart from her bruising and her cuts she only ripped a stitch.
“Hey, I- just wanted to be here.” She cups your face in her hands and slowly rubs your soft cheeks. Her eyes unmoving from yours. she sees the hurt in them, and she wants to chant her new apologies to you. part of her grows excited and anxious at the fact that you care this much about her wellbeing still. in the past she swears you wouldn’t have batted an eye at her injuries, but she can’t blame you. She couldn’t blame you for hating her, but if she’s correct right now with how she’s feeling and just feeding off of your energy, you care. You still care for her after everything. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking clearly, and I just wanted to make it here on time. I didn’t want to disappoint you both.”
“It was okay to be late or to miss this one we would’ve understood.” Natasha removes her hands from the sides of your face and visible displays guilt and regret for her actions today. “I’ve missed so much already; I just didn’t want to miss this milestone. The teachers know me as an Avenger, but they don’t know me as Jordyn’s mom. I wanted that connection to the other parents, I want to .” You can’t fault her for that, at least not anymore. The accords royally fucked up a lot of peoples live yours being one of them. Natasha was on the run for months and barely had contact with Jordyn. She regrets it, you can tell she regrets it every day. There is a soft deflated sigh and a brief pause before you speak again. “Just...don’t do that again.” You tilt her head up and slowly wipe her tears away. Just to show her you understood where she was coming from, but you don’t appreciate what she did. You don’t miss the small flash of hope in her eyes as you forgive her for not putting her health and wellbeing first. That was understandable unlike the other excuses she’s given in the past. She perks up nods her head slowly in understanding all the while keeping a heavy focus on your face. Her hand slides on top of yours that’s rests against her soft skin. Natasha shows a brief sign of hesitation on pulling you into her and slamming her lips on yours. She’s been craving you since that moment you two had outside the compound at game night.
The sound of your phone going off interrupts the soft moment. You instantly recognize the ringtone, but you ignore it, anyway, treating the cuts and bruises were more important to you right now. Natasha was more important to you right now. The fact that you chose to ignore your phone alerted Natasha’s curiosity, you always check your phone even if it was an excuse to avoid the tension between you two, you’d take the call. “Why is she still calling you?”
“Do you want me to step in? because if she’s harassing you about breaking up I can-” you hold your hand up for her to stop talking. You weren’t being harassed; in fact, this was the first time Skylar has reached out since that big fight in the kitchen. Perfect timing you guess. “She’s not harassing me Nat.”
“Then why is she calling you?” The worst scenarios can’t help but to run though her mind at you brief silence. It was only a few seconds but to her it felt like a century the longer she waited for you to ease her mind and reassure her that you weren’t going back to the woman that tried to take her daughter away from her. The same woman that called her unfit. The same woman that called her a monster. “She wants to talk, I guess.” You shrug your shoulder nonchalantly as you fumble with the rest of the materials from the first aid kit.
“And you’re considering it? After what she did?”
“Nat”
“No! How can you even give her another chance after. How could even want to talk with her after you saw how long it took me to get up from that kitchen floor?” You’re not surprised about how angry Natasha is she has that right to be angry at Skylar but not at you.
“We’re not going to act like you’re so innocent Natasha, you’ve said slick, under handed things as well. That night it was a lot happening and things just went left.” You haven’t even brought up the idea of fixing things with Skylar. Just because things went left with Skylar doesn’t mean you were giving Nat another chance. She looks away for a brief moment. You had a point there was no reason to deny it. You knew it, she knew it, hell even Jordy could see the tension and animosity her mother had towards Skylar. It was a reason why you were stalling about that date Natasha asked for, you didn’t know if you could honestly open your heart up again to her. “We’re not together Natasha. You need to remember that.”
“Right.” She doesn’t say anything else as she stands up and prepares herself to move away from you in the small bathroom. “Nat, what are you doing? I’m not done stitching you up yet.” You quickly stand up and halt her from moving any further through the room. You didn’t want to fight today; you didn’t want to fight at all, but you would never let her walk around wounded like she was attempting to do earlier.
“I can finish it; don’t worry about it I’ve been in worser condition than this before.” Now it was your turn to be angry and upset with her. This was petty and childish. Natasha had a pattern of being stubborn, just because something didn’t go her way she shut down and shut you out. This whole situation feels too familiar. It feels like the main problem that broke you in your marriage coming back again like a full circle. As you stand behind her in awe and anger, your phone buzzes again. To no one’s surprise its Skylar’s Name that pops up on your screen again. Natasha doesn’t make an effort to hide her displeasure. You on the other hand ignore the buzzing phone and focus back on Natasha and her struggle to finish the last stitch. “Here, just let me help.” You take a few steps forward as Natasha stands in front of the mirror by the sink. She immediately counters by stepping back.
“I said I got it.” As she swats your prying hands away from her wounds he grunts in return from the soreness and pain. “You don’t have to worry about me anymore.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” The panic in your voice wasn’t subtle at all. The thought of her disappearing again for months scares you. it scares you for your daughter upstairs.
“Nothing.” She ends her response by cutting the string as she finished her last stitch. She looks down at your abandoned phone on the counter. “You should probably worry about your girlfriend, right? seems like it’s important.”
“What the fuck? Natasha, don’t be like that.”
“Don’t be like what? hm, Y/n?” She raises a challenging eyebrow before taking advantage of your lack of words. “You’re considering making up with that bitch that suggested you take Jordy away from me! What does that say about you? The Y/n I knew would’ve never even entertained the idea of associating with someone that hurt me...Maybe you’re not the same person I knew.”
“Yeah? well now you know how I felt in our marriage.” You spoke before you had the time to truly think about what you were saying. In all honesty you meant what you said however this only added more fuel to the fire. You don’t even know why you’re having this conversation right now; you haven’t said anything about fixing things with Skyler, you have a hunch that this isn’t totally about Sky trying to patch the communication with you and that it’s about you not giving Natasha a chance to move forward. Not giving her an answer about an official date. The look you both give each other clearly shows how much you both want to take back your words, but in the heat of the moment the hope of either of you saying an apology is out of the question. “You can’t you give me an answer, but you can potentially think about letting her back into your life?”
“You’re an opportunist, you literally cornered me after the fight and guilt tripped me into even considering the date Natasha. Be serious for a minute.”
“How the hell did I guilt trip you?”
“You used that moment of vulnerability to your advantage Natasha; I don’t even know if I can trust anything you’ve said about changing.” Part of you felt this way but you can’t deny that there is a lack of accountability on your part, you weren’t forced to say yes to her proposal.
“So not only am I an opportunist but I’m a liar now too, right?” Your mouth opens and snaps shut before you can even get a word out, she cuts you off with her words of venom. “What else have you been keeping in? I’ve never needed pity, not even from you. Seems like I’m not the only liar standing in this room. Do you think I’m unfit too? hm? Do you think the same thing as her? Come on you can say it, tell me the truth, I’d rather hear it from your lips than anybody else’s.” Natasha doesn’t give you a chance to speak, she doesn’t give you a chance to shoot down those thoughts she’s stabbing you with right now.
“You won’t have to worry about the date anymore, forget about it, let’s just get this parent-teacher thing over with.” You want to protest against that. You want to yell at her for jumping to conclusions in the first place. You want to tell her you need time to think about it longer. You want her to understand that you technically were still in a relationship with Skyler despite the lack of communication between you two, but your words come up empty and your pride won’t let you. Your silence was enough for Natasha to understand that this conversation was over. She wouldn’t be getting a date like she hoped. The little effort she’s made seems pointless as this encounter knocks her back to where she first started. A stranger.
“Mom, is it time to go yet? I’m ready” Jordy’s voice sounds throughout the hallway as she approaches downstairs. Natasha left the room just in time to get her emotions in check, it was a short moment but enough for her to put it on the back burner for her daughter. Jordyn goes wide eyed with the appearance of her mother standing there when she near around the corner wall. “Mama!” She runs fast on her heels and smashes into Natasha for a warm embrace. You on the other hand needed a bit more time to gather your emotions, you use the excuse of putting the first aid kit back and cleaning up a bit. “How come I didn’t know you were here?” Natasha picks Jordyn up slowly swaying back and forth.
“Because I’m really good at being a ninja.” Natasha smirks at Jordy’s faltering smile. “I’m being serious mama!” Jordy whines with annoyance with the childish response from her mother. “Hmm that means you need to get better at those Romanoff senses.” Jordy groans already aware of what would come from her mother’s lips. “Until you work on that, I can’t take you on a mission with me.” She huffs her breath and slightly pouts. “Fine.” Natasha pecks her cheeks multiple times in an attempt to bring her toothy smile back that works in an instant. Natasha lowers Jordy back down to the floor which still doesn’t do anything from keeping close proximity to her. Jordyn focuses back on her original task in leaving for parent teacher night, she grabs Natasha’s hand excitedly and tugs on them eagerly. “Can we go now mama? please?”
You finally retreat from the bathroom just in time to see how hard it was for Natasha to hold in the pain she was experiencing right now. She blew up at you before you could even give her something to help with the pain. “Jordy, be easy on mama she’s a bit banged up today.” She nods her head and doesn’t raise any eye of concern since her mother looked fine and she saw no signs of major wounds. Jordyn slightly pulls Natasha’s hand leading her outside to the car. Jordyn’s voice laced with excitement as they leave out the door. “I can’t wait to show you everything I did at school!” The plan was still to drive in the same car to the school. Natasha didn’t want to near you so opted to sit in the back seat with Jordyn. You don’t know if you’re grateful for that or upset. Grateful for the prevention of any further conflicts but upset about the childish and petty action.
Even as you all enter the school, she doesn’t really acknowledge you, or so you think she doesn’t. Natasha sneaks a glance at you every so often but nothing too noticeable, she tries so hard to zero in on the teacher talking about Jordyn’s accomplishments and how well she’s doing in her classes, but the tension was too high. She wants to apologize to you. She wants to say sorry for blowing up at you and being so possessive even though she doesn’t have the right to anymore. She wants to take her words back and ask you to still consider giving her a date. She wants to tell you to never stop worrying about her; never stop caring about her and her wellbeing. As Natasha is being yanked around the classroom by Jordyn the teacher approaches you holding a paper. “What’s this” you curiously wonder as you take the familiar childhood paper into your hand. “The kids had an assignment to draw their favorite moment, and this was Jordyn’s favorite moment. I thought you’d want to see it.” she smiles softly at you as your eyes roam the vibrant colors on the paper. Jordyn drew the moment you all shared at the dinner table. The day you finally let Natasha stay for dinner, the cause of events that happened before that was unknown to the girl but this? This has changed your prospective on things, maybe you were being cruel to not give Natasha a chance to fix what she broke. Seeing the effects of having the both of you in the same setting, getting along, with no fighting, arguments and no Skyler gave you a big push towards forgiveness. your mind also wondered to the thought, were you being selfish? your issues with Natasha keeping Jordyn from having better moments with both of her moms together? you shake that negative thought away as you’re brought back to the sounds and environment of the classroom. “I think you should let Jordyn show this to Natasha.” you smile as you hand back the construction paper to the teacher. She nods and walks towards them; you can briefly hear the excitement in Jordyn’s voice when it’s clear that she knows what paper her teacher is handing her. You need a moment to gather your thoughts.
When the parent teacher night is over Natasha ends up sitting in the front seat this time. You don’t show any emotions about it on the outside. You keep your eyes forward and only left the school parking lot once you heard the click of her seatbelt. You thought for sure that she’d sit in the back until you made it back home. Truth is Natasha wanted to be close to you even if she was still upset. She knows she blew things out of proportion but how could you blame her? how could you blame her after the woman that was supposed to be a saint let those vile things leave her lips? How could you blame her after that kiss you two shared at game night? or what about that small but meaningful moment you two shared in the kitchen on the floor where you comforted her and reassured her about being a great mom? Natasha’s mind drifts back to the moment her eyes landed on the family picture that Jordyn drew. Tears almost brought to her eyes and how badly she wishes to have more of those moment just so Jordyn can create more of these pictures. Natasha would be sure to hang up every single one in her room at the compound, in her training gym, in her small section on the quinjet, hell she’d probably turn them into stickers as well. Natasha’s mind is racing with these thoughts and it’s the sound of your voice that brings her back from going deeper into the rabbit hole.
“How about we stop and get some ice cream since we have a mini genius in the car right now?” You say as you watch Jordy from the rear mirror. “What do you think goober should mommy stop and get ice cream since I’m a genius?” Jordy’s mouth drops with shock. “Hey! she was talking about me being the genius.” Natasha turns in her seat to look at the excited six-year-old. “Oh, you’re right my mistake Einstein.” Natasha throws her hands up in mock surrender. You chuckle at the interaction and the atmosphere of the car has changed to a lighter mood, but you two still avoid maintaining eye contact like the plague.
-------------
Getting ice cream felt awkward, the tension only you and her know about was nonexistent to others around you. “What flavor do you want Jordy?” Natasha waits expectingly but truth be told you both knew her answer before she even said it out loud. “Double chocolate fudge.” She jumps with excitement while responding, something you note as the pre-hyper jitters, lucky you. The worker scoops the chocolate ice cream and hand Jordyn her cone. she carefully walks over to the empty booth and eats her ice cream. “What flavor would you like?” the worker asks you. “I’ll have-” The words die on your tongue as Natasha blurts the words out for you, she didn’t do it intentionally her brain was just on autopilot. She knows everything about you down to the smallest detail, even when she’s mad at you she can’t seem to stop herself from wanting to be involved with you in some way.
She clears her throat and Shys away from your soft gaze. “I’ll have a Strawberry cone.” The worker gets started on both cones and hands them to both of you. when it’s time to pay for the cones, you reach in your pocket first, but Natasha stops you. “Don’t, I’ll get it.” She pulls her wallet out and before you can challenge her the worker tells you both that the cones are on the house. “On the house?”
“Yeah, You’re an avenger.” Natasha didn’t normally like when people used that line on her but right now, she didn’t have any more fight left in her to argue and it settled the potential argument between you two about paying for the cones. You were waiting for her to stare him down until he accepted her money or something, but she simply sighs, puts her wallet in her pocket and says thank you before she walks over to the table with Jordyn. You stand there for a moment stunned before you join them at the booth.
--------
Even as you pull back into the driveway of your house Natasha doesn’t say any of her usual starter conversations. She doesn’t even ask to stay for dinner. How can she stay near you any longer than she had to right now? The small moment of happy talkative six-year-old and soft served ice cream cones as a distraction wasn’t enough for her heart to be at ease, at least not today. You shot down her hope when she saw the name pop up on your phone screen. She felt betrayed and she knows she shouldn’t, but she still expected some sort of loyalty from you. She wants to go back home and head straight for the boxing bag and later the gun range and maybe after that she’ll spar with Sam.
She needed to release this anger even with her minor injuries, no pain could be more impactful than losing you completely and her chance to be a family. As soon as you stop the car and turn off the engine Natasha gets out of the car and opens the back door for Jordyn. Natasha kneels in front of Jordyn as she sits in her car seat. “Hey, Goober, I have to head back to the compound now, and I’m sorry that I can’t stay for dinner tonight.” You spotted the lie instantly, but you can understand her reasoning for it. “It’s okay mama, I know you’re in pain.” Natasha was surprised, sure she knows Jordyn can pick up on things, but this was on a whole other level. Surely, she couldn’t have picked up on her mother’s emotion. “What?”
“Mommy said you were a bit banged up today, remember?” A sigh of relief releases from her lips as Jordyn looks down at her. “Yeah, right.” Natasha holds her arms out and Jordyn practically leaps off of the seat and into her mother’s arms. “I love you and I’m so proud of you, keep up the great work, okay?” Jordyn pulls back from the embrace and nods her head in agreement. “I love you too mama.” Natasha places a kiss on her forehead as she pulls back from the hug and stands on her feet. she helps Jordy out of the car, closes the door and walks towards her car without sparring you a glance. “Goodnight, Y/n.” She doesn’t wait around for you to reply to her as she gets in her car and pulls off. You lead Jordyn to the front door and release a much-needed breath as you close the door behind you and work on getting dinner ready. “Goodnight, Red.”
After settling Jordyn down from her sugar high and cleaning up the rest of dinner you stare blankly out the kitchen window. You’ve been distracted since the moment Natasha stepped through the front door hiding her evident display of pain. The familiar feeling of magnetic pull that sparked between you two before your phone rang, before things went left. Had that phone not rang your lips would’ve touched for the second time in years. You can’t decide if the interruption was a good thing or a bad thing at the moment, your mind is completely disheveled. Your phone rings and the name that pops up give you an immediate ick. Tony Stark. you roll your eyes and swiftly decline the call, you honestly thought you had the number blocked, after the whole sokovia accords you really weren’t too fond of Tony, Steve or the avengers in general even though Natasha made her own choices. The phone rings immediately after your denial but this time it answers before you even have time to decline it again. “What the hell?” you inspect the phone curiously, no way you had a bug on your phone you don’t even go anywhere. “That was very rude to hang up on me before even saying hello.” Tony’s arrogant and sarcastic voice sounds throughout your kitchen. its late, you’ve had a long day and the last things you want to be doing is talking to Tony Stark of all people. “What do you want Stark?”
“Ah, straight to the point I guess, I’m having a nice party this weekend and I thought I’d personally invite you.”
“No, thank you.” You were keeping your ground, you forgot how persistent the billionaire could be and you did not miss it at all.
“Wait, hold on just come hang out, catch up with a few people you don’t have to stay long.” Truth be Told Tony was doing this for Natasha, after seeing her today he had to come up with something to get you two in the same room together. away from your normal settings and in a new environment. you bite your tongue hard, what’s makes him think that you want to catch up with any of them? things turned out great for everyone else that was not a part of the avengers. Coulson died, Jordan died, Ward was a trader, and your marriage died. “Look Tony I-” your words fall short when he mumbles the word, he whispered it so soft that you almost missed it. “Please.” You’ve never heard him say that word for as long as you had surveillance on him when you were an agent at shield.
“Fine, Stark. I’ll show up to the party as long as you bring out the good stuff none of that watered down fancy shit.” he chuckles on the other end of the phone; he was expecting you to curse him out for not leaving you alone after you already said no. “You got it, party starts at nine.” after you both hang up Tony drops his phone and rubs his temples. he looks up from his desk with a blank expression. “I didn’t my part, but you better make damn sure this doesn’t go horribly wrong Wilson, this was your idea. I don’t need Two angry Russians and an ex-shield agent on my ass, I’m getting too old for this.”
“Trust me Tony, everything will go smooth, you’ll see.” Sam stands up from the seat patting Tony on his back and leaves his office. the outcome between you and Natasha’s interaction is always unpredictable, but the question is will this time end with a happy ending?

ugh my asthma has been acting up lately. usually that only happens when it’s really cold but it hasn’t been. i think it’s cause of all the grass dander the puppy is picking up outside. i washed all my bed sheets last night and had the puppy sleep on the floor
but now i’m forcing myself to use the nebulizer lol need a lung reset.
yesterday we had christmas party with my moms side of the family. it was okay. we brought the dogs and i played with my cousins twin 1yr olds and i took videos while the kids opened their gifts
my sister and nephew were there so i got to hold him. my sister was annoying. getting onto me with how i was holding him (when i was doing the exact opposite of what she said i was doing wrong—she’s the kind of mom that just wants to put other people down when it comes to her kid. like she just wants to make other people feel inferior when it’s convenient and lines up with her personal values) and she got annoyed when a family sat next to me with one of the 1yr olds and my sister got visibly pissed when the 1yr old reached over and touched the top of my nephews head and cheek. (the 1yr old had clean hands cause he just ate fucking spaghetti like. you could clearly tell they had just cleaned his hands) idk tbh it’s not even like motherhood has changed her personality at all though cause she was like this before. i just like to rant about it in a place where i don’t have to explain or sugarcoat my ranting
best part of my day though was spending time with my cousin on my dads side. i love spending time with them. we went to the mall and just had a great time.
