His stare burns into your back. Trails over you as you lean against the wall, your head nodding along to what ever the man in front of you is saying. You don’t really care about what he’s saying—getting caught at the wrong moment—in the verge of being impolite and just walking away. The blonde on the other side of the street waiting for you makes goosebumps raise along your skin. Anticipation licking at your spine. Lifting up your wrist you grimace, making a show of interrupting the man, telling him you’ve got to go.

You don’t look back, not even as you pass Bakugou to enter your shared apartment.

“I don’t think an extra like that can handle you,”

Your eyes flick up to his red, piercing gaze. An eyebrow raised as you watch him. “How would you know?”

His mouth twitches. “I don’t know, baby, but the way you’re staring at me makes me think you’d like me to find out.”

“There you go again, Bakugou, always shoving words into my mouth.”

It’s instantaneous, one second you’re leaning against the kitchen counter, the next your back is pressed against the wall. A large, warm hand is wrapped tightly around your throat, holding you up so your toes are barely touching the ground. He’s still calm, collected. Not a hair out of place, breathing easily.

“Such a fucking little brat,” he says dropping you, watching as you fall to your knees. “Use your words when you want my dick in your mouth, Princess.”

Your grin is sharp. Lip curling over your teeth. You look up at him from under your lashes, the mischief in your eyes makes his hand twitch at his side.

“Make me.”

So. On AO3 you have a fic called Wonderland. I am curious if you have thoughts to share on that?

For example, I'm curious if it's canon verse or not, if Virgil has been missing for a long time, how he knows Roman (if not canon verse) and what powers Virgil might potentially have :)

And any other thoughts you might potentially have that I am not smart enough to think to ask :)

Oooho! This was not a fic I was expecting but sure! It started off as a tumblr prompt fic (see here) and it was mainly "Let's just keep writing and see where we land up" type of vibes.

This was written in 2018 where I was in my "I'll write Janus as a villain but keep in mind, he's not like other fanon villain interpretations, he's complex and multi-faceted except I fail to elaborate on these thoughts so he comes off " era, not that this fic really touched on Janus outside of Roman's description of him. Given it was a 2018 fic, if I wrote it nowadays I would've included a lot more set-up to the fic to avoid a clumsy exposition dump but I still like the core concept behind it.

My favorite line from this fic is: When in a crisis, memes are always the answer.

In terms of its validity as being a canon-verse fic or not, I actually intended it as an AU, but I really like that interpretation of it being a canon-verse fic that involves fun mindscape hijinks.

In terms of how long Virgil has been missing, Roman hasn't seen him in three years, so that's roughly the length of time he's been missing.

As to how Roman knows Virgil and his potential powers, well. Fun fact, The Chasm of the Night started as a prequel fic to this. The idea I had in mind was Virgil interacting with each of the "Light Sides" and helping them escape their own Twilight Zone predicaments before ending up stuck himself and then getting reintroduced and--yeah, it's a whole mess. As it stands, the two fics don't really connect well, and in fact I've toyed with rewriting Wonderland, but ah. Who knows if I'll be able to get to that :')
