Maaaaaaaaaaaan, come on.
(the post has ended up in the tags btw. I am not changing this and I need you to understand that it is just me talking to myself semi-publicly)
#Nevi Writes#things said by a guy writing a thing he doesn't even intend to be writing and it's like 10k of words now. >:[#while that's true I do want to emphasize that nobody should get excited about it right now tho okay#because like it's just. idk. I feel very much like it could end up not worth pursuing anyway. it's just a little baby wip.#(when the fuck did my little baby wips get to be 1/4-1/2 the length of my previous 'finished' stories!! what the hell)#it just feels nice to make words tho. and it does have that kind of 'ah good to catch up with these guys again' vibe which is nice.#even if the break has once again been like. on the order of days to a week maybe. I'm so bad at this taking a break business suddenly. lel.#but I don't have anything much to say about it at this point#other than I'm debating inventing a reason that presidential elections would have been moved by a couple of years between now and 2212#what is it with me and having to be so damn precise with dates in this whole narrative. am I just mad that Capcom never tries?#(yes) (so mad)#(and 2212 would actually be an election year is the problem. I want time to have passed but I also want there to be a pres. election.)#(it's fine don't worry about it)#(this is how I decided that Blucifer got bload up and then replaced also. weird reliance on mashing up IRL things and fictional explosions)#(but it's fun isn't it? got that veneer of verisimilitude. I'm good at long words)#idk this is inevitable isn't it. but I'm going to keep playing like it's not. I think I need a little more space for this one mentally.#the first one just sort of fell out of my head fully assembled and the second one did that also but with different vibes#though it did actually take some cutting things and adjusting things to make it work which Failure to Compile did not#Failure to Compile was bizarrely effortless until the mad editing dash. Outcome Unpredictable was WORK#fun work at least! but in hindsight it was definitely more work to make it flow properly.#the real job for the 3th if it happens is gonna be wrapping up threads without dropping new ones in bc that's such a habit of mine now

hey!! ty for posting about the article talking about continuation of aa. I don’t know as much about the production of aa5 and 6 but you mentioned a person names Eshiro being responsible for the “no spoilers” rule being replaced. what/who is that? just in general giving u the floor to rant about aa5 and 6 beyond what u were able to say in that post and ur hopes for the future 💙✨ ok bye! :)
hiya!! (post here)
So, the story of why aa5 and aa6 are so different to aa4 basically boils down to a change in the team making it (and Eshiro was part of this).
Most people know Shu Takumi wrote and directed the original trilogy of Phoenix Wright games and then worked on Apollo Justice (although the director was technically Mitsuru Endo, people tend to think of AJ as the last "Takumi" mainline game). After that, he left the Ace Attorney team to complete and release Ghost Trick in 2010, and then he became involved in the development of Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, which released in 2012.
While he was doing all of this, a "secondary" Ace Attorney team had arisen to keep working on the franchise - they had almost all worked on previous AA games and in 2009 and 2011 they were able to release the two Ace Attorney Investigations games.
The two most well-known members of this "team" are the producer Motohide Eshiro and the director Takeshi Yamazaki, and the fact that AAI2 is so beloved shows that they are by no means unable to make really, really good Ace Attorney games. But, with Takumi still busy with his other projects, and a good few years having passed since AA4, this team was asked to create a fifth Ace Attorney game in his absence.
This was, obviously, a challenge, and Capcom were likely in quite a rush to get a new mainline game out soon. Additionally, initial fan reception of AA4 was really not that good - many people hated the decision to disbar Phoenix in particular - and the game itself had many loose ends.
Eshiro, as the producer, decided that for AA5 it was better for the writers to not be held back by previous games, which manifested in what people think of now as the "no spoilers rule". This is why AA5 does not follow up on AA4, and likewise for AA6. Nowadays this decision is widely regarded as a very bad move, but on some level I empathise with it - AA has always been kind of reluctant to spoil past games, and you were always operating with the presumption that the player might be new to the series and wanted to go back to the previous games. Writing a follow-up that addressed AA4, while being acceptable to newcomers and not spoiling almost all of AA4's biggest twists, without the guy who originally came up with the story, would prove really difficult.
So they wrote Dual Destinies as a new story which followed AA4 but didn't really address it, and indulged in fanservice to try and restore the series status quo. It seems like the scenario changed a lot during development and they were pretty crunched for time, too - the final villain's models are apparently called FINALBOSS in the game files and completely broken if you look at them from any other angle.
After working on AA5, Yamazaki was apparently exhausted and didn't really want to make another Ace Attorney. Unfortunately for him, Shu Takumi was still off on his Sherlock & Souseki Victorian-Meiji Adventure, writing the Great Ace Attorney duology, and he wouldn't get done until 2017 when DGS2 came out.
Eshiro managed to persuade Yamazaki to work on AA6 by bringing him to conventions, and having seen the passion and overjoyed reactions from fans after AA5 came out, Yamazaki agreed to direct the sixth game, with Takuro Fuse (AA5 and 6's main artist) acting as co-director to ease the load. Some of AA6's cases were also created by guest writers; the SOJ artbook mentions a struggle for ideas, which explains the outlandish setting of Khura'in.
To the best of my knowledge (and I'm not sure this account is 100% accurate so anyone please feel free to correct me) this is why AA5 and AA6 are the way they are. Nobody is particularly to blame for how things turned out; there were just a couple of bad decisions along the way which has resulted in the games being looked back on by a lot of people with some contempt. Given the circumstances, I'm actually pretty impressed with how enjoyable Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice are, even if they don't reach the heights of the trilogy.
Yamazaki left Capcom in 2019. Eshiro went on to produce Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2, and I'm pretty sure he's still at Capcom.
What all of this means for the next Ace Attorney title is completely speculation, but the short version of the story is that Shu Takumi has finally come back from getting milk Herlock Sholmes Jail writing other games, and seems to be getting hyped up by capcom as the "Director of the Ace Attorney Series". This makes it very likely he will direct and write the next Ace Attorney game. At present we have no idea what this means - he could follow up on AA4's story as well as he's able, he could write another Phoenix game, he might go rogue and write an Athena game, he might do something completely different. But the next AA game will likely be around the quality of AA1-2-3-4 and DGS, not another AA5/6 situation.
As for the producer, this comes from the November 2020 leaks (which was very real - it's where we first got the TGAA localisation confirmed), but the only thing we heard about their projected AA7 was that it would be produced by a guy called Yasayuki Makino. He also produced The Great Ace Attorney collection, and if you read his dev blogs from that release, he credits AA4 for getting him into the series initially, and generally seems to be a huge Ace Attorney fan himself, pushing hard for TGAA to get a worldwide re-release after its unimpressive initial sales (and look how well that's worked out...!)
That's basically the story. I think AA7 will be great, actually, but at this point I will literally take anything, Capcom please my family is starving

Mia Winters' Texas driver's license
Extracted image asset from RE7, front and back. Though it's filthy and hard to read, I like that they've clearly based it on a real Texas driver's license layout ‒ that's a nice touch.
Tumblr media
Interesting that the photo looks like a cap of the in-game model though, rather than an an actual photo, like most other pics of Mia in RE7 (and even some from RE8).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some other notable details under the cut:
Since it's in her real name, we can probably assume this is her real driver's license, not some cover identity created by the Connections for this job.
You can just about make out Mia's birth-date as the 14th of December. So if we take the age given for her in the RE7 guide book (which may be is questionable, but it's what we've got) as 32 in 2017, that would make her birth date the 14th of December 1985.
Both license and guidebook give her height as 5'7", or 170 cm, so a point for consistency there.
Mind you, the license does say her eyes are blue, which is odd, as Mia's eyes in RE7 are pretty clearly brown (yes, even when she's not possessed). Though they are suddenly blue in RE8, which clearly means... that mould infection/recovery changes your eye colour? That if Chris gets to go brown-to-blue-eyes between games (plus a completely new character model), why not Mia too? That Capcom thinks consistency is for cowards? IDEK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The implication that Mia and Ethan lived in Texas makes a lot of sense to me ‒ not just because of the old joke about how being from Texas explains how Ethan's so good with guns, but because Texas is right next door to Louisiana. Which matters, considering that Ethan apparently got the email about Mia's location at 11PM July 18, and arrived in his own car before sunset on the 19th (with the final boss battle and Not A Hero DLC taking place on the 20th).
Which makes it all the more annoying that that guide book claims that Ethan Winters is "a systems engineer who works in Los Angeles", the other side of the fecking country. Google maps assures me you can get from basically any part of Texas to Dulvey, Louisiana within a comfy 3-12 hour drive, whereas you're looking at over 24 hours on the road from Los Angeles. Even if Ethan moved there only after Mia's disappearance, Texas makes infinitely more sense. But I think the whole eye colour thing pretty well demonstrates how good Capcom is at keeping its published story straight.
It's nice when details like Mia's Texas driver's license add up. But sometimes, you've just gotta not sweat the small stuff.

Hello, first of all, YOUR WRITING IS GOD’S WORK, second of all, I need a second part of “I know it’s thick”, bc that took me out 💀 It was fucking fantastic. And last but definitely not least, you seem very sweet, and like an amazing person, keep up the good work 🥰💕👏✨
"I know it is thick." - Part 2
Pairing: Boss!Carlos Oliveira x GN!Reader
Summary: It is thick, and now you know it.
Warnings tags: SMUT SO MINORS DO NOT INTERACT PLEASE, blowjob (m receiving), public sex, under-the-desk blowjob while jill is in the room, porn with feelings (sorta), carlos always brazilian in my fics (foda-se capcom ESSE HOMI É DO BRASIL), translations at the bottom
Author's Notes: ANON YOU ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE!! the idea came to me while reading your ask and i was like WHY NOT? again, bear with me since smut is still a constant work in progress. also thank you so much for your kind words and requesting with me, i hope i deliver! <;3 @cerezzzita aqui miga 💖
part 1 | my carlos's masterlist
You would never have guessed you would end up like this. You see, after sending that text message, you thought you would have been fired or sued for sexual harassment within Carlos's rights.
Not that by late Friday night, you would be doing extra work. And by that, it means your legs spread apart, holding yourself back in the cabinets of the stockroom as your boss Carlos pounds into you, his big hands holding your hips with such strength it would probably hurt tomorrow. Not that you cared: since this whole thing started three weeks ago, you have discovered you had muscles that ached that you didn't even know existed.
As Carlos's ball hit against your ass, the slapping sound sounding pornographic to your ears enough to drive you crazy, you hold onto the cold shelves, your legs barely keeping you steady. Every thrust he gives inside you is more powerful than the other, seeming to reach deeper into you. It had to be that thick cock, you thank mentally.
"Are you close?" Carlos wonders, and you imagine his bare ass looks delicious, his social pants on the floor.
You moan a pathetic yes and beg Carlos to touch you, and his hands find you, jerking in that delicious way only he could do it. It is unfair how well Carlos knew your body, although this only started a couple of weeks ago.
Three weeks since you stayed late and found out it was really that thick and you could barely fit in your mouth. Three weeks since this man gave you the best orgasm of your life. Three weeks doing extra work time.
With the way he is rubbing you, you don't take long to cum, biting your lips and closing your eyes to hold back a moan. Carlos gives you two final thrusts before you hear him muttering a curse in portuguese as he cums deep inside your walls. You stay silent for a moment, just the sound of your breaths before Carlos pulls out of you, his semen slowly dropping out of you.
You take a second to straighten yourself, your back hurting (it seems you are taking another ibuprofen tomorrow), when you feel Carlos pass a cloth between your legs, cleaning you gently.
"Oh, mhm, thanks?" You say unsure, and he smiles, giving you his handkerchief, with his initials sewn on it.
Carlos stares at you, wanting to say something. You are a little worried about it might be: yes, what you are doing is wrong, and you both know it. You are worried Carlos might want to end this sooner than later; you know he will have to. Or maybe he will finally invite you out? Maybe, you will end up fucking Carlos in a proper bed, not on top or under his desk.
"I will see you later, then." Carlos doesn't wait for your answer, and you ignore the pain in your chest, his handkerchief just the memory he left on you (along, well, with his cum). Again, this would have to end someday, right? It was just sex.
Two days later, you are under Carlos's desk a little after everyone leaves. You see, you went in there to end it all before Carlos could but, somehow, ended up with you on top of his desk, his head on the middle of your thighs. The things Carlos could do with his tongue were skills out of this world, and suddenly you can't remember what you wanted to do here.
You just didn't want him to stop.
So now, you are just repaying for the multiple orgasms from earlier, you tell yourself as his thick cock hits the back of your throat. It had nothing to do with the fact that you loved sucking him, the sight of his strong and hairy tights, hearing Carlos beg for your name, and how this powerful man seemed to melt in your arms because of you.
There is a sudden knock on Carlos's door, and you both seem to freeze. You look up, and Carlos gives you an urgent look, his eyes pleading for you to stay shut. "Please don't say come in," you beg mentally, but the door opens before Carlos can say anything, just with enough time to pull out of your mouth.
"Oh, I am so glad you are still here." Carlos's partner and your other boss, Jill Valentine sounds pissed. Carlos immediately pushes the chair into you, completely hiding your body, causing his dick to get close to your lips.
Jill vents about the challenging project the whole team has been working on, and for your relief, she doesn't pay enough attention to Carlos. Carlos gently tries to keep your head away from his cock, but you don't move. When he looks down in panic, you would have laughed if you could because Carlos knew exactly what was going through your mind.
When you test by licking the tip of his cock Carlos has to hold himself back against the chair, Jill still doesn't seem to notice. You try again, this time swirling your tongue around it, and Carlos curses.
"Puta merda."
"Did you say something?" Jill wonders, and you hold back a laugh.
"Puta merda this project huh, Jill?"
Jill continues her rant as your head goes down into Carlos's cock, slowly and torturous. Your boss has to hold himself into the table, his knuckles turning white as a low whimper dies down in his throat. His hands look for your head, you don't know if to pull you away or push you more down, but you don't stop.
"....and I am telling you, if this doesn't get solved by the end of the week, I swear I will cancel this whole deal!"
"Puta que pariu!"
"Well, I am glad you agree with me!" Jill exclaims, slamming the table. She finally looks at Carlos, who is sweaty, his chest rising up and down as he bites his lips.
"Carlos, are you okay? You look feverish."
"I-I am fine, Jill. All good. Just sh-sharing your frustrations, that is it."
Jill thinks she heard a strange, slurping noise after Carlos says that, but the sound stops. Her phone rings before she can ask what it is, and she groans, frustrated.
"You know, we shouldn't work this late. Life isn't just work, you know?" Jill expresses, before leaving his office, waving goodbye.
You can hear the door closing, and Carlos roughly pulls out of your mouth. You gulp, anxious, wondering if you finally took too far and Carlos will end it all, when your boss's face appears under the table to stare at you, full of desire.
"You want to play like that? Fine. Let's see how long it takes for you to gag on my cock." Carlos' voice is low and threatening, bringing chills all over your body, especially your heat.
"Challenge accepted, boss."
Puta merda = Holy shit
Puta que pariu = Holyfucking shit

About Separate Ways (Spoilers)
Wow, guys. I was super excited to get gameplay footage/input from friends about Separate Ways (too broke to own the base game myself) to put into my longfic, but aside from some super cute Luis/Ada moments, I am... dissapointed.
Capcom hire me, at least I can keep the plot consistent because what the actual fuck.
Will discuss below to avoid spoilers (much more story than gameplay, but gameplay wasn't great either), but I'm not going into insane detail save for some things. READERS BE WARNED!
I'm also specifically looking at this through the lens of my own fanfic, Simulation Swarm, which is my take on how Las Plagas works and infected!Leon (in addition, infected!Ashley and a lot of Leon's unacknowledged trauma and relationship issues throughout the game series). I was majorly excited about Separate Ways because it implied that Ada also gets infected- which I really want to still implement even if it changes a LOT of major things about the fic.
I'll go over the good stuff first. AKA, stuff I'm keeping, and not retconning.
1- Luis' characterization was still amazing. It was really nice to see his character balance out Ada's, how he's still as chipper as he can be. Additionally, it's VERY clear how much he cares for Leon and Ashley alike, and he goes out of his way to get Ada the suppressant and still respects her throughout that process. 2- Pesanta/IT/U-3's design with slightly more of a scorpion shape. That was sick! 3- The fact that Ada was aware of most of Leon's movements and a lot of what happened, and in a way was following him around and handling things he couldn't/wasn't aware of. * 4- Ada didn't help Leon into the chair, Ashley did. But that scene isn't even shown. 5- Luis and Ada def had chemistry, and it was so cute!
Well! Short list. Now for the bad stuff. AKA, shit I'm retconning/ignoring/pretending never happened (most of the DLC).
1- Ada's infection is weird as fuck. She got... shot? And infected? And then, infuriatingly (because I've spent WAY too much time thinking about the physiology of Las Plagas and researching w/ the help of others how the infection would work) PUKES UP her plagas?!?!? HELLO!? This in particular drives me insane because like. Las Plagas nests and develops behind the sternum, between the lungs, where it can attach to the nervous system along the spine. It is TOO BIG for a human body to fight against, it's growth shoving lungs out of the way is why people cough up blood. It's nowhere near the throat or stomach and clearly it's extremely well engineered/evolved for human hosts not to end up in conveniently the wrong location. And if she did puke it up, at that point, miraculously, after two days? Her intestines are fucked. She's dying of internal bleeding. I don't fucking care how much of a bad bitch Ada is because at that point Wesker wasn't gonna help her. The fuck? Capcom, know your own lore challenge. 2- We got NO backstory, not even HINTS about Ada's past and origins. Again. 3- * Seriously made Ada's character into a very flat character and removed a lot of the urgency/clear want for her to help Leon from the original DLC. Seriously, she does not gaf about anything but her mission and making it more convenient for herself. Everything she does to help Leon is sheerly coincedence- which, honest to fuck, does not line up. Especially considering she appears to completely lack empathy until... uh oh, Wesker wants to kill a bunch of people? Like sure, she has that BRIEF conversation with Leon in the boat but like... what happened to the people she has history with, the people she could've ABSOLUTELY been saving to spite Wesker and allow her to have her own motives until whoop-de-doo, uh oh, gotta stop a genocide! Be so for real. 4- Bonus: After Luis helped her and she'd made the deal to get him out, he, still dying, calls her with a warning about Krauser. It took a long time for him to die. She SHOWED UP after witnessing the fight and pretty much just... left him. Despite all of that. Which I get from a 'not fucking with canon' standpoint, but seriously. 0 effort. 5- Krauser literally fucking gets away when she fights him???? 6- Wesker keeps making appearances. For some reason. It's not even clear why, he literally just shows up to be intimidating and to threaten Ada into doing the job but like. At that point, honest to fuck, he could've done it himself? Also it was majorly hard to empathize with Ada considering we STILL KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HER OR HER MOTIVATIONS. 7- Luis has no distinct fire trauma. (Okay. Revoking this after the discussion, I just had a no media literacy moment after everything I was taking in. Luis' response was actually pretty good and honestly? Should be appreciated. Though it does bring up another point- while I love Luis, I guess I was walking in with it more being an expectation for it to be 'Ada's Story'. We didn't get that, though the Luis background was great!) 8- Ashley's interaction with Ada was a single line asking for help and Ada just. Walks off.
Anyway, everything I've seen first hand and have discussed with others has left a sour taste in my mouth. Boo, @Capcom. Good thing I can make up my own stupid little stories and pretend that none of that happened.

The Darkness and the Light

Chapter I - All Around Me
Pairing: Jill Valentine x Reader
Summary: Working nights at a gas station has its perks, little foot traffic and relatively quiet, peaceful even, until one customer shows up. There’s something about her that’s so odd, you can’t look at her for long. There’s a feeling that goes from chilling to burning like fire, coursing through you whenever she’s around. During this time of year the days are getting shorter, becoming chillier, leaves starting to fall. Something is in the air, stirring within you. You never feel alone nowadays, a feeling that was once comforting has now put you on constant edge. A presence is always lurking around the corner, right out of reach. Even if you wanted to fight it, could you? Or were you destined for its pages, years in the making, the story needing you to reach its conclusion.
Author’s Notes: Inspired loosely by songs and a book series I read when I was younger. I’m not sure how long this will become. Unfortunately this was supposed to come out before Halloween, but I got sucked into other writings, apologies. I hope y'all like a chilling story after the fact! Jill is perhaps a bit out of character for this, due to her being a vampire. RE5 Jill for this, Capcom are cowards for not keeping her look from 5. I hope you enjoy it!
Content Warnings: Swearing, AFAB Reader, gender neutral language used for reader, Jill is a vampire, eventual smut in upcoming chapters, reader has a gun, unintentional manipulation/persuasion from vampires and their powers, protective Jill, violence, mentions of stalking, depression, thoughts of losing one’s mind.
Disclaimer: Jill Valentine is trans in this story. Keep your transphobic remarks to yourself and don’t read this if that bothers you.

Tumblr media
“You got protection?”
You stop, hand hovering over the customer’s drink as your eyes meet.
“Huh?” A questioning sound leaves you. Head tilting, eyebrows furrowed.
He repeats his question, “You got any protection?”
Your eyes flicker to the gun under the register.
“Yeah, I got something.”
He chuckles, pointing to the ceiling, “From above?”
You smile, one of those big, fake customer service smiles. “I got something a little more physical.”
His eyes widened a bit, before he laughs again, nodding approvingly. “Don’t blame you, being here by yourself so late at night. You take care now, you here?”
You nod, thanking him and wishing him a good night. The door chimes when he leaves. You release a puff of air, slumping into yourself.
Another long night.
You leave your spot at the register, grabbing your rag on the way. Absentmindedly wiping down surfaces, restocking cups and lids, checking creamer and sugar levels. Your movements are almost robotic after doing this for so long, going on autopilot while performing your tasks.
You’re on your knees, the cabinets opened beneath the drink station, gathering the needed cups to replenish when the door chimes. Your mouth is opened to greet the customer when that all consuming feeling prickles the back of your neck.
Like ice cold water has been poured down your back, goosebumps forming and hair standing on end, barely able to squeak out a “Hello”.
Without looking, you know who it is.
She always comes late at night, doesn’t stay for long, doesn’t talk. At first, you didn’t notice her really, blending in with other customers. It wasn’t until one interaction, when you had been handing her change. You’re always careful to not touch the customers when doing so, avoiding direct contact, germs and whatnot. This time, your aim was off, basically smacking the change into her palm.
You couldn’t even react like you normally would, an apology on your tongue when you realized how cold she was. Though, coming into contact with her chilly skin should’ve caused your own to bristle, but instead you felt heat.
You thought that maybe she was so cold that it felt like you had been burned, but when yanking your hand back, a couple coins hitting the counter with a plink plink at the force of your movements, the flames kept coursing through you.
The direct contact with her skin hadn’t lasted longer than a few seconds. But, ever since then, if your back is turned when she enters, you feel the chill, but as soon as you turn towards her, meeting those icy blue eyes, your body is set aflame.
You hate the icy hot feeling that occurs whenever she’s here. It leaves you feeling nauseous and tired afterwards, like you’ve been battling the flu. Ugh.
She makes her usual rounds, walks through every aisle, before walking back around to the shelves lined with toiletries. She takes something from a hook before making her way to the counter.
You leave your spot, head down as you make your way behind the counter. You eye the item she chose, some lip balm. It’s different each time.
Gaze not directly meeting hers, your eyes focus on the scarf wrapped around her neck. Maybe if you don’t look into her eyes, the feeling won’t come.
It comes anyways. You wince, stomach churning, cheeks flushing. UGH, goddamn. You will yourself to crack a smile, voice wavering.
“H-hey, find everything okay?”
She nods.
Right. Of course. You tell her the total and she hands you cash, quickly getting her change ready. Your usual spill is leaving your mouth as you deposit the money into her hand, “Thankyouhaveagoodnight,” rushed out, fingers steering clear of her’s.
You’re patting yourself on the back internally for getting through the encounter quickly, but…
She continues to stand there.
Internal hand patting your back is now clenched into a fist, banging on a fictitious wall while you scream. Inhaling a deep breath, you smile and ask, “Is there anything else I can get you?”
A slight tilt to her head, blonde bangs shifting slightly.
“My name’s Jill.”
Oh.
You can’t remember a time where she uttered a word, now hearing her voice for the first time, her soft tone washes over your senses, and…The sickly feeling starts going away?
It’s like her voice soothes it, bringing forth the cure to your ailment. You feel your muscles relax once more, the way you felt before she came in, now accompanied by a soothing warmth.
Instead of being tossed directly into the fireplace, flames licking at you, you’re sitting beside it in comfort.
Your eyes flutter, confused but also grateful that horrible feeling has left you. You smile and tell her your name, knowing it’s on your nametag but now, able to look into those sky blue eyes and feel nothing but relief, you don’t mind speaking to her.
She nods, a small smile gracing her features before turning and exiting the store.
You’re struck dumbfounded, frozen while you watch her leave.
What was that???
A deep breath leaves you, slumping over the counter, body now feeling exhausted after the roller coaster of emotions that coursed through you in such a short amount of time.
You stand up straight and walk to the soda fountain, getting yourself some sort of caffeine to help carry you through the rest of your shift.
Thankfully the rest of your time goes by quickly, able to close the store and count the drawer in a breeze, locking up and walking out to your car.
The hair on your neck stands up once again, a chill running through you. The feeling of being watched shrouds you and you sprint to the car, hitting the button to open the door and jumping in, immediately hitting the lock button.
Heart thudding in your ears, the blood rushing through your veins creates such a loud sound that fills the cabin of the car only you can hear as you grip the seat, the steering wheel, anything to try to keep calm, breathing harshly.
Your eyes dart around, looking out all the windows, head whipping around as you start the car. You scramble for the gun in your bag, gripping it tightly and setting it in your lap. You peel out of the parking lot, in a frenzy to just go, go, go, get out of there.
You take a detour to make sure, taking a longer way than you normally would.
Arriving home after checking for the tenth time that no one was after you, you hurry inside and lock the door, gun in hand. Taking your shoes off once inside, you hang your keys on the hook near the door and put your belongings away. Making your way to your bedroom, you drop the gun onto your nightstand and fall onto the mattress with an ‘oof’.
The adrenaline has gone away, replaced with exhaustion once more. So many emotions have run through you over the course of the day, you’re thankful to be home and alone, solitude desired after the events of the evening.
You feel absolutely boneless, no energy left to even shed your work clothes off.
All you can muster is the wandering of your thoughts, and they lead you back to Jill.
Her minuscule smile, the odd feelings you have around her, and why you only see her late into the night.
She’s the last thing on your mind before you drift off to sleep.

Let's say that some "no way home" shit is happening and the universe collides and stuff, and instead of multiverse villains coming in the main one, the boys just discover AO3/Tumblr/Wattpad, etc.
Tumblr media
Would chuckle and try to hide his smile. He would also blush when he read steamy stuff. He is amazed by how many people he is shipped with and would spend nights reading fics about him.
He would make an account to mostly keep his favorite works. He would also try to write some stuff with him, thinking it would be easy since it comes from the source, but people say it's OOC.
"Well, story of my life..." Thus, "@the-story of-my-life" was born. He gets sued by Capcom for copyright infringement. Poor guy can't catch a break, even in another universe.
Also, his hair has its own fandom.
Tumblr media
First, what the fuck is a "ship" and why people are "shipping" him with Chris? His eyes widen at the intense NSFW content made with him and his archnemesis, but the "x reader" stuff boosts his ego.
"They know me so well, it's amazing." He'd say it with pride in his tone.
It turns out he doesn't need a virus to mind control anyone, a shirtless picture would do just fine. Thus, "@realalbertwesker" was born on Twitter.
Tumblr media
Why people ship him with his archnemesis is beyond him. Still, he quickly falls into addiction and stays up all night reading fics about him. They just put a smile on his face.
He is shocked to see how many people got him right. They got his preferences right—how he cuddles and what he likes to eat—and goddamn, even his dick size is accurate.
"Am I that transparent?"
No, Chris, we are just obsessed. You're hot.
Tumblr media
Why is everyone calling him a "DILF"? What's a DIFL? And why is Mia either dead or divorced in almost all fics?
After some quick research, he laughs out loud, finding all of this hilarious and quite enjoyable. He likes all the fics, both SFW and NSFW, and he has no shame reading steamy things next to his wife.
He is addicted to slow-burn fanfiction because it keeps him hooked, and he lives for the drama. He starts a Wattpad account to write his life story: "Ethan Winters: from ordinary guy to mold." Everyone says that it’s OOC.
Tumblr media
This man never thought he'd be worthy of being simping material. Still, his ego is increasing with each fics he reads about him.
He has a Tumblr account called "@ask-heisenberg-203". He also buys many checkmarks using Miranda’s credit card. He really wants the rainbow.
He lives for the "x reader" stuff mostly because he feels loved with all his flaws.
Tumblr media
He is a ladies' man and would be so proud to see all the fics and headcanons about him.
He can’t stop blushing at all the cute headcanons, and he even submits. His username is "@definitely-not-carlos" and he reblogs content about himself or Jill.
He lives for the spicy stuff, and at some point, he writes too (from personal experience).
Tumblr media
Let’s face it, he makes a Tumblr account just to write fanfics about himself. Luis is a very good writer and gets many followers in a short time.
"My, my, these people are very horny. And why is everyone shipping me with Sancho?" He said after reading a few smuts that it's ok 'cause he likes the attention he gets.
"Damn, Leon looks good in those thongs..." He would say that after seeing some pictures. He thinks of getting a tramp stamp too because if it looks good on Leon, it would look stunning on him.

Thinking about Carlos and trust. How his trustfulness isn't portrayed as being naive or stupid. How it's just as big of a part of his character as his kindness, quips, and good intentions. How that word is often repeated by him in the beginning of the game.
With the environment he grew up in (being a child soldier and all), trust would have to be super important, drilled into his head from a young age. Being able to trust and be trusted by your allies keeps you alive in the field. He trusts his comrades, who fight alongside him. He trusts Umbrella, who saved his life and bought his freedom. He trusts Jill, a woman he just met who very clearly and openly despises who he represents, even if he doesn't trust her word on Umbrella's evil. Not yet at least.
He also appears to value transparency as a part of this, becoming audibly upset when his "search and rescue" mission becomes "find and detain." This is where he sees the curtains start to peel back a little, and we get some small insight into what makes him tick. His main goal on this assignment is to help people, evacuate the innocents. He's happy as long as people make it out alive. He's rebellious against the idea of turning Dr. Bard over to the company to die for this reason. Sure, he takes it in stride when Jill acts verbally hostile towards him (continuing to joke around and assist her without hesitation), but when deception and injustice come into the mix? That makes him angry. It makes me wish we got to see a verbal confrontation between him and Nicholai, the murderous traitor. For now, it's enough to observe that he's willing to risk harm to make sure he won't get away at the end of the game.
When he watches Dr. Bard's confession, he's confronted with the undeniable proof he's been fighting for the wrong side due to his misplaced trust. He's been a fool, unknowingly part of a cover-up. He's understandably pissed, physically lashing out on the nearest object in the room. His anger may even be directed at himself (at least in part, the majority is for Umbrella) for being so blind. He realizes Jill had no reason to put her trust in him, yet she did anyway, even growing to care about him. She told him the truth about the outbreak at the very start, but he didn't believe her. He might even view this as a form of betrayal towards her. In the end, he fights tooth and nail to try and make things right, to repent for the sins of his employers. He wants to truly deserve the trust and care he had been given by someone who had every reason to write him off and turn away. Most importantly, he wants to do what he thought he was doing in the first place, save lives.
End Note: Everything said here could also apply to an analysis on loyalty as well. He starts loyal to Umbrella, but quickly shifts towards Jill and her cause. I would talk further on this, but Capcom has yet to release Carlos from the basement so I don't have much to work off of in terms of post-Umbrella characterization. We just know that's he's very pissed and vengeful towards them. I am once again asking for a Carlos-focused spin-off set between 3 and 4. Please.

Re8 is kind of better than Re4R in my opinion, it has better puzzles ( more puzzles than re4 ) , not as action oriented, kind of scarier , better graphics even though it came before it , the only problem re8 got that unfortunately makes re4r better than it at the grand scheme of things , is the plot.
Capcom aren’t know for their amazing plots but they aren’t bad generally, they deliver some good plot for a horror game , it keeps you engaged, without any plot holes ( it’s an action game , you gotta kiss some logics goodbye same thing as in action movies) (p:s haven’t played re6 yet or re 5 , have played re3r , re2r , re1 , re7 , re8 , revelation 1&2)
Resident evil 8 plot has some plot holes that can’t be ignored, main problem is in Chris Redfield himself, it made no sense that Chris couldn’t see mother Miranda not dying with a few bullets , like he saw Wesker get barbecued, yet still live , he has fought a tyrant as I know in CV but he’s shocked that mother Miranda didn’t die immediately? 30 something years of experience people 30 yrs of seeing things not die immediately as they should plus what kind of shit ass protection is the BSAA got for not being able to protect Ethan , you’re telling me these are the best of the best ? , Chris not telling Ethan that Mia isn’t Mia was kind of given a reason , while chris was talking to one of his team members, he says that he didn’t want mother Miranda to know his plans , fearing she was eavesdropping somehow , then that gets erased as in the last chris cameo when his team tells him why he didn’t tell Ethan he goes , I should have told him….? you actually gave a good reason in the beginning that should have been explained more but go off I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ . Capcom is really sitting here telling me that Chris couldn’t carry scrawny Ethan on his shoulder like a potato sack and run , that man is built like a machine , he punches boulders in re5 , Capcom should have kept the 3 way fight ( Chris vs werewolves vs BSAA zombie soldiers) have him get some injury to make it more believable that he couldn’t carry Ethan to safety , ( they can’t get the helicopter near Ethan’s location cause of the trees as we see the trees attacking the other BSAA helicopters so that idea is crossed off ) the other alpha team members, idk they were protecting the copter as it’s their only way of getting out but they couldn’t spare one member !? To come aid Chris , as we don’t see him fighting anyone on the way back so most enemies were gone , one carries baby rose while Chris carries Ethan boom problem solved . It felt like Capcom wanted to kill Ethan so bad , they didn’t care to make it believable , it was sad and emotional but not believable. It didn’t make sense. So it ruins the experience for me
It would have been way better if another BSAA member attacked and kidnapped the winters family , lying and saying it was Chris’s orders to relocate them to a temporary safe location ( putting the shock factor of WTH Chris ) while Chris was hooked up in another assignment that he couldn’t postpone or put on the side , only finding out after coming back to check on the winters family , and seeing the house in a ruin , this way explaining why Chris kinda felt late in re8 , Ethan was to be killed but lives due to the fungus or escapes , mia and rose are taken to mother Miranda, later on revealing that BSAA or some other organization agreed to helping Miranda or worked with her and they were the ones that sent the soldiers and they lied and used Chris’s name in order to gain the winter’s family trust to go with them.
My baby boy Chris doesn’t deserve the hate he’s getting from the newer fans who played re8 first/only

Survivor's Blood (Leon x Reader) - Chapter 1
Survivor's Blood
Pairing: Leon x Reader
Summary: After Raccoon City, Leon became the only Government agent with that kind of expertise. With relentless training, he was now a Special Agent - again, on his first day in the job. He just didn't expect to live Raccoon City all over again... Maybe Leon was fated to always have the worst first-days-at-work ever.
Age Restriction: 18+. It's horror - so expect a LOT of blood, corpses, dismemberments, very graphic descriptions of violence, dubious morals and people doing everything to survive. Nothing we haven't seen on RE, but reader discretion advised.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Ok. Long story short, Leon has PTSD. He'll be trying to deal with that while again living very violent and traumatizing experiences. The reader is also damaged by the whole situation - again, expect PTSD, anxiety attacks, doom and gloom, all that stuff. I'll leave warnings every chapter there is something very explicit and potentially triggering, though.
Author's Notes: RE4 remake is among us! Bet you guys didn't see this coming - I didn't either. I have 50+ pages of this sitting on my pc since before I started this blog. I was writing it in Portuguese just to indulge me, but with all the RE4 thing, I'm quite hyped for it - and it came in a good time, I'm in need of keeping my head distracted. Like Nemesis, I'll try to update this one weekly. The good side, it's already halfway written, so I'll only have to work on translating to post - with Nemesis, I actually have to write it.
This one is between RE2 and RE4 - I wanted to explore the innocent little rookie cop Leon becoming badass goofy special agent Leon, so this is kinda it. Almost like a character study that capcom never does <3
Fret not, I do finish my works in progress ;)
Also very proud of this header as well

Chapter 1
Leon dreamt almost every day with the horrors he had lived in Raccoon City.
To wake up before the sun painted the sky in golden tones, with his hair plastered on his face from the sweat, already grabbing a gun he got in the habit of leaving by his nightstand and aiming it at a random point in the darkness wasn’t a random occurrence anymore.
“Shit…” And he always cursed between a tired sigh, feeling the cold floor under his feet as his elbows rested on his knees, head hanging low.
He could choose the moment that appeared in his dreams, as if he was still there: the cop Leon tried to save and got cut in half right in his hands, the many heads he blew up of innocent people, his very own colleagues who dragged themselves towards him trying to eat him alive, those terrible monsters who followed Leon around as if the was the only living being in that hell…
Leon had enough memories for a whole lifetime. And, most probably, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder also enough for a lifetime.
It was to be expected that the government would find him for intense interrogation sessions and soon decided to turn him into one of its Special Agents – precisely those who do the job that no one else could. And all of that because no one had the experience he had; the Raccoon City experience.
Who would’ve known that from a rookie cop on his first day at the job, Leon would become a Special Agent of the Government.
Even though he had that experience, and it made Leon become a Special Agent, now he was just a rookie again. He had been in some field activities – simple stuff, but, in his dictionary, almost nothing compared to surviving the virus outbreak at the RPD. So, for all effects and purposes, he was still a rookie.
And he never imagined what kind of mission would be his first as a Special Agent. Leon was probably doomed by fate to have the worst first days at work ever.
**
New Setosa, April 29th, 2001 – 16h43
“The whole city is a mess, Chief Nakai. We managed to rescue a few people, but, truth is, everyone is scattered around and we don’t know what to do.” A police officer reported to the police Chief of New Setosa, the city that turned into hell in a few hours. “We don’t know if there are any more survivors or where they are.”
Chief Nakai kept his eyebrows together, evidently worried. Screams of mayhem could be heard all over the town outside the department, and the officers in New Setosa had been called to help in that mess they found themselves in. They said it was a virus, something that could become an epidemic, and it spread faster than a fever at a kindergarten.
“What about Washington? You spoke to them, right? Are them sending more people? Help? Rescue…?” The police officer himself was desperate. In all his years in duty, he had never been through something like that.
“The Government promised to send a team to help us, with a specialist in this kind of situation.” Nakai sighed, finally leaving his room with the officer – only to find a bunch of desolate people needing first aid and food, terrorized with what could be outside.
“How can someone be a specialist in this?!” The police officer was already far from trying to control himself. “I’ve never heard of anything like this shit! I don’t even know what those… Things out there are!”
“In Raccoon City, around two years ago, there was a similar incident. Do you remember…? They blew up the whole city ‘cause apparently a virus spread around and that was the only way to contain the epidemics…?” Nakai tried to remind his subordinate, but the man only denied with his head. They probably found a good way to cover up the story of Racoon City and only a few people remembered what had happened. “Well. Maybe this Special Agent from the Government will be able to help us with this. Maybe he led the extractions in Raccoon City. Maybe he helped the dozen poor bastards who survived to get out of there.”
As if on cue to the words of Chief Nakai, the symphony of approaching helicopters made everyone pay attention to what was happening outside. They approached and distanced right after, making the sound of coordinated steps at the top of the Police Department – the NSPD – be heard. The steps approached in a hurry – and no one knew if they would be friendly or not. One of the internal doors opened with a loud noise, giving way to men in black uniforms and heavy weapons, led by a tall man with gray hair in a military cut.
“Commander Rogers?” Nakai asked as the man immediately approached, offering his hand to start the conversation in the friendlier tone they could at that time. “It doesn’t look like a sufficient number of men to save a whole city.”
“If our suspicions are correct, there may be not that much people to save, Chief Nakai.” The Commander answered with a strong handshake, observing the despair in the eyes of the people in the NSPD. “What’s the situation?”
“There’s a lot more people to save, but we don’t have enough police force. The entire city is chaos outside, and this is the most we were able to do at the moment. We already had too many losses; many good police officers died today.”
Leon observed the entrance hall of the NSPD, in silence. He remembered when he first entered the RPD, years ago, and there was no one. The silence was deadly, and he could only hear the noises of the undead chasing him through the corridors of the police department. That was very similar to Raccoon City… Too similar.
He hoped with all his heart his PTSD wouldn’t trigger that night. That was the closest he found himself to Raccoon City in years.
“We will try to rescue the greatest number of people we can.” Rogers walked alongside Nakai and the police officer to a nearby meeting room. The Commander signaled Leon to follow him, and he did without a word. As they entered the room, there was a map of New Setosa taped to the wall.
“The issue is that people are spread around the whole city.” Nakai pointed at the map, hopeless. “We tried to gather as much as we could, but those things are at the gates, ready to kill anyone who tries to leave the NSPD. I don’t think people left their homes, and those who did… Well. You saw how it’s like outside. It’s gonna be impossible to gather everyone, we never saw anything like this.”
“We haven’t, but I have a Special Agent who has already gone through something similar.” Rogers confirmed with his head, making Nakai and the officer look at him with hope blooming in their chests. They waited for someone strong and unrelenting to walk in, a war machine, almost like Rambo or the Terminator. “Leon Kennedy.”
As the Commander pointed at Leon, their glances were a little… Disappointed. Leon looked like everything but a war machine like they expected: not that strong, not that imposing, maybe a little too skinny, albeit fit. He looked too young, too inexperienced, too cute for… That.
“No offense, Commander…” The police officer had to say something. After more than ten years working on the streets, he only saw rookies with that face. “But he doesn’t look like the type of person who would know what to do in this situation. We had cops with fifteen years of experience and training dying like cattle today.”
“I told you, Commander…” Leon closed his eyes and took a deep sigh, not in the mood to at least try to smile. He was certain no one would respect him, precisely for looking too young, maybe even inexperienced. And, honestly, that was his first day as a Special Agent, in what could be a copy of Raccoon City. What if he had a panic attack? No one would ever respect him again.
“Kennedy is one of the few survivors of the disaster in Raccoon City.” Rogers words were harsh, ignoring completely how desolated Leon was by his side. “I never dealt with those things, nor anyone else in my team, and even lesser you. Leon, on the other hand, killed dozens of those creatures, survived the massacre, avoided worse consequences and helped other survivors to get out of there alive. Everything new we will see today, won’t be any news for him. If there’s a person here who may know the best strategies for surviving and saving people, this person is him.”
“You survived Raccoon City?” Nakai had his eyebrows furrowed. “Again, I don’t mean to be rude, but you look too young, Mr. Kennedy.”
“It was my first day at work.” Now Leon had a not so happy smile on his lips. “I have a completely different definition of ‘hellish first day in the job’.”
There was something of strange in his eyes; something different. Leon could look too young and even naïve, but something changed when they looked into his eyes. They had something of tired, too harsh and too merciless for someone so young. Those eyes carried something impossible to erase from the mind – as if they would never forget the blood and the death. They expected eyes filled with kindness and innocence, but all they got was cold and emptiness.
“So… Mr. Kennedy.” The police officer looked a little ashamed of his own antics, pointing at the map once again. “What do you think? How was it with you guys? Did you manage to rescue someone?”
“Well… We were able to find a few people. They managed to protect themselves somewhere strategic and had guns for protection.” Leon sighed, taking a look at the city map. “An emergency announcement led everyone to the RPD, but the virus also got there, and it was a massacre. They couldn’t rescue the people fast enough, no one was there for us.”
Leon fell silent for a while, still observing the map. Nakai and the police officer exchanged wary looks while Rogers remained in silence. No one was there, Leon remembered. He and Claire found each other for a whim of fate and had to make their own way between hungry creatures who literally wanted to eat them alive. In the end, the city was destroyed with a bomb. There was nothing left. If Leon and Claire hadn’t insisted so much in their survival, they would’ve had died. The same thing with Jill and Carlos, who now had to battle their own demons because of all that and almost didn’t manage to leave the city on time. They were one of the few who were lucky, very lucky.
“Leon…?” And he was brought back by the Commander’s voice. Leon shook his head slightly and pointed at the map again.
“I don’t think that many people who stayed at home survived. Unfortunately, that’s what happened in Raccoon… We can try to gather some people in big places: schools, hospitals, supermarkets; and then we rescue them little by little with police cars.”
“Most streets are blocked.” Nakai denied with his head, hands on his waist. “We had too many accidents, the streets are pure chaos. Cars, trucks, motorbikes… You choose. They’re all thrown in the streets, in pieces or in flames.”
“In pieces and in flames too.” The police officer had to point it out.
“That happened in Raccoon as well. We can ask people to gather somewhere nearby, and our team goes in for the rescue. We'll call the base and ask for enough helicopters to take everyone away from here.” Leon suggested right after, looking at Rogers for approval.
“And how are we going to gather everyone in one single place?” The Commander still thought about it, albeit knowing it was the best shot they had. “It’s not like we can go around screaming a PSA.”
“Radio and television. When things like this happen, people try to communicate and keep waiting for communication.” Leon nodded as he remembered what happened in his own city, years prior. “When they announced the bomb, it was through a special announcement in the TV, I remember Carlos told me. He woke up and it was basically an audio telling everyone who survived to leave the city ‘cause a missile was programed to blow it up. We can try at least through the radio.”
“Hmmm… Grace is here in the NSPD with her assistant, Chief.” The officer was starting to see the first glimmer of hope amidst that hell. “If there’s still someone alive in the studio, she might be able to record the announcement here and we can start an emergency broadcast in Channel 8.”
“Grace is the weather girl; she was in the middle of a transmission when one of those things almost ate her and the whole team.” The Chief explained, shaking his head right after. “They lost two assistants, but the cameraman was able to flee with his camera untouched. Grace appeared running after him completely desperate, still holding the microphone.”
“It might work. If we can guarantee there’s someone at the studio, it’s possible gather people in… The hospital, maybe?” Leon observed the map, but soon received a frantic negative answer both from the police officer and Nakai.
“That was the starting point of all this disgrace.” The Chief ran his hand over his forehead. “We’re avoiding it like the plague. I’m sure no one survived in there.”
“Ok. Let’s talk to this Grace and see if we can get some communication at the broadcast station.” Rogers fumbled with the rifle in his hands, apparently having no worries with Leon carrying just one handgun, dearly named Matilda.
Rogers didn’t mind Leon’s weirdness. The kid had survived hell. In his point of view, he could be as weird as he wanted to.
“If we can’t contact anyone there…” With that, Rogers glanced at his Special Agent. Once more, Leon’s steel blue eyes carried that quite atypical coldness.
“I’ll go there, and I’ll find someone. If there isn’t anyone, you can just guide me, and I’ll make it work.” Leon had a small smile in his lips, remembering the first end of the world he had gone through. “I already had to learn a couple things the hard way. Making a TV broadcast work mustn’t be that hard.”
“Great. Let’s redirect the survivors to the school, any objections?” Rogers finally decided and got only negative answers from both Nakai and the police officer.
He wouldn’t make it obvious, but he was proud of Leon – for an ex-rookie cop, he was behaving quite well as a Special Agent.
**
“Grace?” In the packed entrance hall of the police department, filled with crying and mayhem, the voice of the police Chief made a woman with dark hair and shiny green eyes turn around to him, startled. “We need your help.”
“You?!” That’s what she spat back at him as an answer, completely baffled. The red suit jacket and skirt were dirty and misaligned, the white shirt stained with blood. “We are the ones who need help! Are you doin’ somethin’ to take us out of here or just chattin’ and drinkin’ tea?!”
“Charming.” Leon murmured to Rogers, already internally sighing upon realizing they really needed her help and couldn’t just ask someone else for it. They didn’t need someone with a superstar complex at that moment. The Commander just answered with a small, almost inaudible, laugh.
“We need you to make an emergency broadcast to the city. Where’s your assistant? What is his name?”
“His name is assistant.” Grace huffed, crossing her arms and already looking impatient. “What emergency broadcast? You guys want me to go to the studio for that? I am not leavin’ here.”
“Grace, please… Be reasonable.” Nakai gently touched her arm, approaching the woman. The police Chief lowered his voice. “We want all the survivors to gather in one single place. A TV broadcast helped some people to survive in Raccoon City, it might help here too. We need you to call the studio and see if there’s someone alive in there to broadcast while you give the announcement and the assistant records it.”
“In Raccoon City…? How do you know that?” The woman now looked confused and less combative. She also lowered her voice and seemed a little more prone to help.
“I was there.” Leon almost shrugged, being noticed for the first time. “If there’s no one in the studio, I’ll go there, and you tell me how to broadcast. The goal here is to gather the most people we can in just one place so we can get you all out of the city.”
Grace remained silent for a few seconds, observing Leon. She slowly ran her eyes through each of them, confirming with her head as she thought about it, finally uncrossing her arms.
“It might work…” She murmured back. “If there’s someone alive in the station, I know who’s gonna be. Let’s hope they listen the phone ringin’.”
The group headed back to the meeting room, closing the door and putting the phone in speakers. Grace dialed as fast as she could, watching her cameraman lost outside the room and signaling him to enter and remain silent. Patience wasn’t her virtue.
The phone barely rang once until a silent voice picked it up on the other side.
“Hello…?” It was uncertain, probably hiding. They didn’t let the phone ring so it wouldn’t draw unwanted attention.
“Hello? Y/n?!” Grace rested both her hands on the table, almost covering the phone with her body. The voice on the other side sighed in delight and had to contain itself not to scream.
“Gracie?! You’re alive?!” You took a deep breath while the woman affirmed enthusiastically, your heart beating fast and tears threatening to fall from your eyes.
“Y/n, oh my, y/n…!” Grace murmured, sighing right after, trying to hold back her tears. “I knew that you would be alive…!”
“It was tough, Grace. Almost died. Where are you?”
“On the NSPD! That’s exactly why I’m callin’! They are here with…”
“Wait…! Stop talking…!” You suddenly fell silent and everyone in the meeting room heard insistent knocks on a door, alongside horrible undead moans. They exchanged quick looks, not knowing what was going on.
After a few good minutes in silence, the banging finally stopped and the dragged steps couldn’t be heard anymore. You controlled your breath and barely made any noise – they started to ask themselves if you still were on the other side of the line.
“Hey. I’m at the Director’s room, I barricaded the door but those things still try to enter here until changing their attention to fresh blood.” You finally got back to the call, speaking even lower than before. They had to make the speakers louder on their side.
“Is there anyone else alive in there…?” Grace was even scared to ask. Actually, she didn’t want to, but she knew they would ask you that eventually.
“No. Not that I know of.” You sighed on the other side, following with a humorless laugh. “But, I think this is going to comfort you: the fresh blood is from the Director. I tied him up one of the windows after he died; he bled so much that he immediately grabs the attention of those things who are feasting on him.”
“Hmmm…” And Grace laughed briefly after hearing the news, a little more content than she should’ve. “It’s a lot more than what that shitty abuser deserved.”
“Well, at least he was useful for something, right?” You shrugged, understanding Grace’s anger. Anyone would understand it.
“Y/n, my dear, I need you to do me a favor. That’s why I called.”
“When do you call me not to ask for a favor?” You tried to joke for a while, making Grace let out a genuine laugh. “Even in the apocalypse you call me for favors. What if I had died?”
“I knew you hadn’t died. Out of every person in that studio, you’re the only one who had a chance; I’m just alive now ‘cause I wasn’t there when all hell broke loose.” Grace suddenly turned serious, looking a lot more professional than before. “Chief Nakai and Commander Rogers of the Special Forces want me to record an emergency broadcast so all survivors will go to the school, and they can be escorted to the NSPD and rescued. The idea is to broadcast it on the TV and the radio, so I’m gonna need someone inside the studio to broadcast the signal of our camera to TVs across the town and my audio through the radio.”
“Hmmm, ok. I’ve no idea how to do that nor how I’m gonna get there, but we’ll worry about it when I actually get there.” You mirrored her tone, immediately understanding the seriousness of the situation.
“Excuse me, y/n?” Leon finally decided to take over the call. “Leon Kennedy, Special Agent and Raccoon City survivor. I can help. Do you have any radio in there?”
“Like a walkie talkie?” You asked back and, from the noise, it seemed like you were going around the room. “Dunno. The Director had all kinds of junk in here.”
“He had one of our police radios.” The officer added with a long sigh, receiving suspicious looks. “How do you think he knew exactly when some interesting crime happened and appeared there out of the blue, sometimes even before than us? The man was never worth a dime.”
“Well. At least now he’s worth something.” You considered in a mumble, followed by a rather loud noise and some things being fumbled around. “Locked drawer, the key is probably still with him. I don’t think I’ll be able to get rid of the half-dead people already feeding on the piece of crap at the moment.”
Grace giggled – that was the internal nickname of the Director to anyone who worked in the broadcast station; specially women.
“Hmmm, found it. How can I turn it on?”
“There’s a switch on top of it that shows the frequencies, can you see it?” Leon’s answer was in autopilot, getting a positive response from you after a few seconds. “We can find a frequency…”
“0.5 hertz. No one uses that channel, you won’t be interrupted.” The police Chief added before Leon could finish talking, throwing him a similar radio. Leon adjusted on that very same frequency.
“Great. You just have to press a button on the side to open the channel to talk to me. I’m gonna test it here and you tell me if it works, ok?” He didn’t even have to say much for you to agree. With a few words, you could hear him loud and clear.
“Ok, it works. What about you?”
“Working as well.” Leon smiled. Luckily, you seemed to be a fast learner. “Talk to me as you walk around the studio, and I can help you around those things. I was a cop in Raccoon City.”
“Yeah, I know. Claire and Jill told me about you.” Your answer came with a sigh, not at all happy with the perspective of getting out of the room you had made so secure for yourself. “Gimme a minute to get ready. I’ll call you on the radio, ok?”
“Ok, that works.”
“Y/n.” Before ending the call, Grace called you one more time. “Just… Don’t die, ok? I wanna see you again. I don’t wanna be the only one left from the studio.”
“Don’t worry, Gracie. We need a lot more than half a dozen slow zombies to kill me.” You had a cocky smile in your voice, making her laugh before finally ending the call.
The only problem was that there was a lot more than half a dozen zombies in the studio.

...life series ace attorney au?
colour me intrigued.
I've already explained the jist of it here and expanding on some defense/prosecutor duos I enjoy here
I am so excited to talk abt this!! Feel free to ask more questions! I'm using this ask as an excuse to talk abt design ideas regarding the lawyers!
Starting off with Gem, whose design I've already finished!! She has a similar silhouette to Apollo's angsty Dual Destinies design with her (green) jacket over her shoulders because of the shawl(?) In her hc10 skin and witch skin. I gave her a white button up with a yellow tie since a lot of her skins have yellow/gold accents. I also gave her a corset because of the corset for her empires skin (now sure what season, I haven't watched her empires u-u). I've given her a single glove as a reference to her hc10 skin and to Athena's single glove, since I think Athena and her share some fun similarities. Finally she has some grey pants (Capcom give these lawyer women pants!!) And brown dress boots.
Unfortunately, Gem's design was the easiest for me! I'm trying to keep the defense side relatively simple as you'll notice in aa they tend to be (rip Athena). I don't want everyone in a basic suit tho so I am trying to mix things up a bit. Would love some suggestions! As for the others, I have some ideas
Scott's S1 Empires skin is actually perfect! It's that multicolored tunic that could easily be depicted as a suit jacket with a white dress shirt underneath. Could be fun to mess around with what kind of shirt he's in or a neck accessory besides a tie. Other than that I haven't got much for him. Ace attorney lawyers also tend to be strongly color coded, so a multicolored suit may break that aa feel, but uh it's more fun <3. I may end up playing around with the colors anyway.
Mumbo's design is actually the easiest. I had more fun with Gem, hence why she was done first, but Mumbo is already wearing his ace attorney suit design lol. I kinda want to play around with it a bit more, but I may end up settling on his self imposed aa design.
Scar has an extremely unique problem for me where he actually has too many fun lawyer-adjacent skins. Particularly his hc8 and limited life skins. They are both very iconic to me but would be difficult to actually mesh into one deisgn. Additionally I ADORE the color pallette of his secret life skin (og, but red is good too) but I'm not sure if I could include it. Altogether Scar is the hardest!! If I pick one route I feel like I'm losing so many possibilities! And I don't want to just copy one skin of his, like Gem I want their to be numerous references to different skins. May have to study the aa wiki defense attorneys to get some better in-universe outfit ideas.
I've been having some trouble with Grian as I wanted to include his iconic sweater without breaking the prosecutor vibe. The prosecution tends to have more wild or whimsical (see Nahyuta) designs. However, I think Grian may end up on the more simple side of the prosecutor spectrum, Edgeworth is a more simple prosecutor anyway and Grian is Edgeworth-adjacent. Come to think of it tho, his poultry man skin looks stupidly similar to Gregory Edgeworth. Could do smth with that maybe hmmm.
Etho's design is actually pretty straightforward from his skin. And he only has one to work with haha. What I'm picturing looks a lot like Godot's outfit, he even has a mask on lol. I'm probably gonna try to make it pretty unique, but it is hard to resist the urge to just turn those sleeves into a button up and that green into a suit vest.
Joel is one I'm trying to play around with more. I've perused his skins and haven't had any stand out as super lawyer-y. His default is fun enough to work with tho! Gem's comment of his weird vest thing as a corset is making me consider giving him a corset (he and Gem can match!). I'm trying to distinguish him from Shrek as much as possible while still keeping recognizable elements from his default. All in all I think he'll be fun.
CLEO oh BOY am I excited for Cleo. I'm thinking a lot of Franziska's silhouette with Cleo, focussing on extravagant sleeves, particularly relating to that blue dress skin of Cleo's. I'm also thinking of Nahyuta's detailing. Cleo's skins, to me, give the perfect amount of inspo without spelling anything out. I'll probably stick to her usual color pallette, but playing around with her 80s skin colors could be fun! Cleo is very exciting for me!
Finally, Pearl. When it comes to Pearl's design, her top aa influence is Barok van Zieks. I adore his cape and would really like to use it as a reference to scarlet Pearl. I also really like his soldier-esc getup underneath it, and while I wouldn't go as heavy handed with it, I am tempted to take some bits. I also really like Lana Skye for Pearl as a design reference, but mostly for her sprites. Pearl will not be crazy corrupt like her, but I would like to draw some parallels

Hihihi!!!!! I Hope You don’t mind yet another ask from me!!!!!!! I’ve already said this before but I absolutely adore the way you answer questions and analyse stuff, it’s such a breath of fresh air to see!!!! This is totally self-indulgent so I hope you don’t mind me asking, but do you have any personal headcannons/analysis thoughts on Luis perhaps??? It feels strange to admit but he’s a very big special interest of mine so I just wanted an excuse to hear somebody else’s thoughts on him!! I hope You’re having a good day regardless!!!!
Always happy to see an ask from you, and don't even start with the strangeness or self-indulgence of being really into or asking about Luis; just yesterday I was wondering whether I should wait for spring to get a splish splash fish ankle tattoo or just do it now and deal with an itchy ankle in my winter boots lol...
So yeah, Luis is my love my turtledove the light of my life and I would LOVE the chance to talk about him!!! He was one half of why I got into resi in the first place (serennedy had me like 'hmmmm maybe horror games are not too scary for me if they have cuties in them....'), and every time I think about him my brain does that thing where you put your head in your hands and sigh while cartoon hearts float up above you...
He's just..... So good.... And despite that, he's made SUCH shitty choices. I love how painful that is for him, but that he's got enough self awareness to understand when he fucks up. He doesn't try to blame anyone else - he faces his mistakes and his own shortcomings (pride, willful ignorance, cowardice) head on, and tries so desperately to make up for them, even as he keeps making them.
I love that he's not some perfect angel, that he hangs on to the amber and intends on handing it over to Ada at first, in exchange for getting out of Valdelobos, despite knowing full well that no good will come of that. The part in Separate Ways where he tells her he doesn't care who she works for, could be the devil himself, so long as she gets him out of there was so shocking for me to hear at first, but then I realized that's the core of his tragedy - that he's a good man trapped in a horrible situation, and he's scared, he wants out, he wants to live so badly! Unlike Leon, he's got a healthy dose of self-preservation, and honestly, if I were in his shoes I would probably make the same choices.
But still - he runs into the burning lab, he risks his life to get the suppressant to Leon, he tells Ada he won't leave her, he picks up his 'lance' and says alright, let's go rescue the princess! He's so full of regret and fear and he keeps making shitty choices, but he also keeps doing the right thing.
The way he's written and acted is so rich and nuanced. Watching him, I understand exactly where he's coming from and every single one of his choices. Out of all the characters in re4r he feels the most real to me, the most human. Every second he's on screen is a joy, even the horrible painful seconds at the end.
I wanted him to live so badly, and not just because I like him, but because he wanted to live so badly... All the re6 AU's I've seen floating around where he meets up with Leon again are among my favourite things to come out of this fandom!! I know Capcom is never gonna do that, but in my head it's canon: when Ada told the helicopter pilot to change course she actually went back for Luis, gave him a little first aid spray, and then they joined forces and lalalala everything is fine!!
Ok I'm gonna wrap it up cause if I keep talking about him I'm gonna be late for work, but thank you so much for the chance to gush!! I love Luis so much and I think about him all the time.... My sweet bisexual disaster man..... Going to his death with a smile:

I can say now with relative certainty that I know Hunk’s identity and in this post I’ll show you how because literally no one else is talking about this!
Strap in folks as I unload some of the best evidence I’ve found for Resi’s most elusive character.
Tumblr media
This idea was first put into my head by a comment made by Evil Blitz in this video:
https://youtu.be/pyoW-FLqh1o
He suggests that because Hunk can keep his identity hidden so well he would have no need to flee prosecution. At the end of RE7 Blue Umbrella shows up, all of which are wearing masks to conceal their identities. Now this isn’t solid information alone but there’s more.
Blue Umbrella was said to be made up by people who used to work for the original Umbrella just as Hunk did and being as highly skilled as he is it would make sense for him to begin working with them.
Evil Blitz also suggested the same could be said about Chris’s Hound Wolf Squad all of which are highly skilled and, like Chris, survive a good 16 years after the events of Village as we discover in the DLC meaning they really are the best of the best.
Who else do we know who’s good at avoiding death? Oh yeah, The Grim Reaper himself. Hunk.
The HWS also all hide their faces but with the use of mods we can still see what they look like. We’ll come back to that later.
Two of the oldest members of the HWS are Umber Eyes and Lobo whom I guess to be around the same age as Chris. We can already rule out Umber Eyes as Hunk is already known to be Caucasian. That leaves Lobo AKA John Perlman, the machine gunner.
Now out of everyone on the squad, Lobo went through the biggest design change from concept art to character model.
Tumblr media
His original design appeared to look more like a biker which I think is a reference to DC’s space biker Lobo whom he shares a name with.
But like I said his character model which appears in game and is canon is drastically different with exception of his eye scars which are an important detail we’ll circle back to.
Tumblr media
(Credit: @loneghostwolf for the image)
Here we see Lobo has silver hair, stubble, dark eyes and eye scars.
Now let’s compare him to Hunk’s canon unmasking in Resident Evil 3’s Epilogue scenes.
Tumblr media
Old quality aside we can clearly see the same hair, stubble, dark eyes and yes, The Eye Scar.
Now between these two pictures around 24 years have passed but that doesn’t rule out that they aren’t the same. Let me draw your attention to his stubble.
In the older image it is pretty apparent that Hunk is blond judging by his stubble and if we look at the shadow we can assume that his hair is too.
But also Blond people are known to go grey a lot faster compared to dark haired people so we can assume that even 24 years before, Hunk was already getting greyer hair.
Let’s compare the two side by side again:
Tumblr media
Out of everything the eye scar is the most damning evidence I’ve seen. It’s position is slightly different but we all know Capcom is rather loose when it comes to characters staying true to their appearances (just look at Chris lol) The same applies to his face shape.
Can’t see the scar? Here’s a draw over:
Tumblr media
Now let’s talk about personality because between Hunk and Lobo there are some differences I’d like to discuss.
Hunk is known to be cold, calculating and emotionless but that isn’t the case with Lobo.
Lobo, based on his dialogue in RE8 is more laidback and playful, referring to the raid on the village as ‘fun’. Now you may think this blows holes in my theory but allow me to direct your attention to Chris Redfield.
Is Chris Redfield in RE1 anything like Chris Redfield in RE8?
Nope! And that’s called character growth.
Chris has lost a lot of his playfulness over the years because of his repeated trauma and experiences. We can assume the same happened to Hunk but rather in reverse.
Hunk’s origin is still a complete mystery but being a cold emotionless killer is definitely the result of his job at Umbrella. The mission is always top priority and nothing else matters. He was trained to believe that on Rockfort which is the earliest information we have on him.
His behaviors are on par with other Umbrella characters like Wesker and especially Birkin. His job is his life and all he knows.
Your surroundings can drastically change your personality and reaction to things and I strongly believe that once Hunk was freed from Umbrella he began to understand his own sense of self and who he was as a person rather than as a weapon.
Blue Umbrella was the perfect place for him to discover himself even if no one else knew who he used to be. Surrounded by Ex-Umbrella employees living with their own regrets and trying to fix their mistakes would make Hunk question his own after all him stealing the G-Virus caused a chain reaction across the whole series.
His choices are directly responsible for the majority of the outbreaks following. If anything it’s possible he’s trying to make things right again and atone.
Being at Chris’s side is also beneficial regardless of whether or not his captain knows his identity which wouldn’t matter anyways anymore. They are both men who’s actions had resulted in the loss of their whole teams and by the end of Shadow of Rose it appears that both their curses have finally been broken.
But wait! There’s more.
Lobo in RE8 says this to Chris:
“Been a while since we fought together Captain. When was it last, the desert?”
This is a reference to Heavenly Island, a comic that takes place after RE6 but before RE7 meaning the two worked together previously in the Mojave Desert.
Because of this we can easily assume Chris hand picked him personally for the HWS based on these previous experiences of seeing him in battle.
This cannot be said about any other HWS member as it’s never revealed how they were recruited and who by.
Anyways Lobo is Hunk, here’s my evidence and thanks for listening. PLEASE tell me your thoughts and spread this around to get more people talking about this!

Imagine if companies didn't have to answer to shareholders...
This is not a political post.
Tumblr media
This is a post about how, if I was the owner of Capcom, there's no way in hell that all the company's money would go toward some investors' pockets until I had an exact replica of the Spencer Estate. It's where all the employees would work. Offices up top in a cush mansion atmosphere, programmers in the basement labs like the geniuses they are, groundskeepers in the cozy cabin with the killer plants, etc.
I want the whole thing and I want everyone to have a blast and live in a fantastic little video game world while they work.
The best part? People could pay to tour. More income for the company. More video games for us.
What's that? The company needs even more money? Please, take a cruise on our ship, The Queen Zenobia. The last night of every cruise is what we call "survival horror zombie laser tag night." It's a blast.
Tumblr media
It was just a thought I had and I quickly came to realize how badass it would be. I had to type it out and keep it before it slipped away.
Anyone got any other good ideas?
