Salt Lake City to Tucson
22 September - 13 October 2023
Tumblr media
My last post was on September 14th, just before I headed to Salt Lake City to start my long-anticipated ride to Tucson. Since then I’ve had an amazing three-week adventure on the bike, I’ve had numerous enjoyable rides around Seattle, and I’ve spent hours going through the resulting photos and notes. But I’ve also struggled with my motivation and my interest in maintaining this blog. Regardless of what I end up doing with the blog, I thought it would be good to write up a summary of the recent trip. Whether I flesh out individual days of the ride or whether I continue to post about future rides remains unclear.
======
I rode out of Salt Lake City on Friday, September 22nd. I rode into Tucson on Friday, October 13th. Along the way, there were 22 days of amazing landscapes and incredible riding. I traveled around 1150 miles (50+ miles/day, more than 450 of it on gravel roads and dirt tracks. I suspect I walked my bike a total of 4-5 miles on steep or rough segments. There was 83,000’ of climbing, including several sustained climbs of 4-5,000’. Much of the first week was spent climbing to or riding above 10,000’. I camped a little less than half the nights. I never took a full day off, though I considered it in Flagstaff.
Tumblr media
Highlights. There were a lot of them. Big Cottonwood Canyon and Guardsman Pass. Skyline Drive on the Wasatch Plateau. The aspens in the valley of Sevenmile Creek. Hell’s Backbone Road. Scenic Route 12 from Boulder to Escalante. Bryce and Red Canyons. Camping at Rock Point on the edge of Marble Canyon. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The San Francisco Peaks. The Mogollon Rim and the amazing descent to the Salt River.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The weather was great, except for some rain in southern Utah that required a major detour to avoid muddy roads and added two days to the trip. Temperatures were cold at night, particularly on the Wasatch Plateau, but it was great during the day. Heat was never a problem during the ride itself, though the weekend after I got to Tucson, temperatures rose into the high 90s.
My route evolved over many months of pouring over maps and checking online sources. Some of the territory was familiar to me and that influenced decisions about places I wanted to visit (or felt okay skipping). I wanted to experience as wide a range of landscapes and geologic provinces as I could. I wanted to avoid busy highways, but I also didn’t want a route that was too rough and too remote for my bike or my capabilities (particularly riding solo).
Tumblr media
The result was a wonderful mix of roads and trails. Almost 600 miles of my route was on the Western Wildlands Route (courtesy of Bikepacking Roots), a north-south route from Canada to Mexico that parallels, but lies farther west than, the better known Great Divide Mountain Bike Route.
Here’s a list of each day, showing mileages and elevation gain. I may eventually work up descriptions of each day and link them here, but haven’t done so yet. I posted fairly regularly on Instagram (@gravelbeach) and that remains a source of photos and limited narrative.

TOTALS (numbers vary depending on later corrections):
1170.6 miles (53.21 miles/day) (1884 kms)
690 miles paved / 480 milesunpaved
83016’ (3773’/day) (25,303 m)
Tumblr media
My bike and my gear worked out well. I rode my Salsa Warbird with a bikepacking setup. I’m on 42mm tires (tubeless). I had no tire problems, despite sharp chunky volcanic rocks and the potential for goathead thorns. My suspension stem and seat post make the rough roads a little less jarring. My only mechanical problem was a missing chain ring bolt that I discovered on the second day and was able to get fixed. I replaced the brake pads in Flagstaff. Shifting worked fine (and continues to work smoothly after shipping the bike home and adding another few hundred miles around here).
Tumblr media
My body held together, despite turning 65 on Day 4. I never had any problems with altitude besides the labored breathing you’d expect from 5000’ climbs to 10,000’. My lips were badly chapped and my skin got darker. My hands and seat were sore at times, but that was to be expected and was never an obstacle. My legs were sore when riding, but recovered quickly.
I’d been thinking about this ride ever since I wrapped last year’s trip from Whitefish MT to Salt Lake City. It was an inevitable second chapter to what became an epic ride that stretched from border to border (a one day’s ride from either end). Combined, the two-part adventure covered 2200 miles and 130,000’ climbing over 40 days of riding.

Salt of the Earth
Salt — sodium chloride — is essential to everyday life. It provides two of the main chemical elements that we can’t do without. We need chlorine for digestion and respiration, but even more important is the sodium. Without it, our bodies would be unable to transport nutrients or oxygen, transmit nerve impulses, or move muscles, including the heart.
Separate the sodium from the chloride and you’d get a metal, which left to its own devices would happily burst into flame, and if that didn’t hurt you then the chlorine, a deadly poisonous gas, would surely get you. However, combine the two together and eat them and they keep you alive. The average adult human contains three or four shakers’ worth, but we are constantly losing it in body functions — urine, blood, sweat and tears all contain salt — and that’s the problem. Our bodies can’t manufacture the stuff, so we have to add it — although not much of it — to our diets or we’ll die a slow and painful death.
One of the oldest arguments in antiquity was about the origin of salt. Was a gigantic bed of salt at the bottom of the sea keeping the ocean salty, or was the Greek philosopher Aristotle right in believing that the ocean waters were fresh and only their surface layer was salty? Aristotle’s view that salt water was formed by the sun’s evaporation of freshwater prevailed until the 1660s when measurements finally established that the ocean’s deep water was even saltier than its surface water. But if salt formed in the sea, how then could we explain the great lumps of rock salt that appeared on land?
Salt, after all, is just a rock (mineral name halite) — albeit an unlikely one in that it grows as crystals out of a liquid such as many other minerals (quartz, gypsum to name a few) — and in Neolithic times people mainly dig it straight out of the ground. It got there by rain dissolving minerals out of rocks on land and carrying the dissolved chemical elements into a lake or a sea, where evaporation crystallised them back into solid rock. This process can be seen in action around the disappearing waters of the Dead Sea, where thick salt crusts are building up on a shoreline that is dropping at an alarming rate, about a metre or so each year. In the past the Dead Sea has dried up completely, and what was left behind was a thick bed of salt. Close by the Dead Sea is Mount Sodom, a 6-kilometer (3.7 mile) long lump of pure salt caused by the drying up of the great lake.
Much of the salty rocks around the Mediterranean come from vast drying six million years ago, when the enormous seaway turned into a 2,000-meter-deep (6562 ft) wasteland of brine lakes and desert. A bed of salt several kilometres thick grew until it was flooded by the impouring of the Atlantic waters and buried by new sediment. However, salt has the ability to flow under pressure and, being less dense than most rocks, it rises up, forcing its way to the surface. Around the Mediterranean, salt mountains have popped up, particularly in places like Sicily where land upheaval from clashing plates has thrust up the rocks. Today in Sicily working salt mines extract the material, and you can buy six-million-year-old rock salt straight off the supermarket shelf.
Huge quantities of rock salt were extracted in ancient times, but, throughout most of antiquity, the main source of salt wasn’t in the rocks, it was in the coastal marshes. Six thousand years ago, with the stabilisation of global sea levels, the world’s great deltas began to advance. All around the Mediterranean’s shores, great rivers like the Ebro, Rhône, Po and Nile started to rebuild the coastal lowlands, and extensive coastal flats that developed were perfect pools for evaporating off seawater. What started as natural salt marshes were modified by humans into enormous evaporating ponds and soon, all around the Mediterranean, people were growing their own sea salt.
Something to think about next time to put some on your chips.

There is pretty much one day until Halloween. Where on earth did fall go?! It JUST got here 😩 . Today has been a hectic day (rough work day, car got hit, feeling "meh") but sometimes those days are needed. I find that sometimes the days that really stink can fuel beautiful transformations and inspire positive change. . Two blog posts have been written today. They won't be posted until November though, since they will accompany videos on the YouTube channel. They were unplanned, but created out of the desire to take a bad day and make it better... which TOTALLY worked. Darkness? Conquered. At least for today. 😌 . BY THE WAY!! Professional Merfolk and Aspiring Merfolk... the month of November is going to be EXTREMELY helpful... patrons know what's coming. Time to share some trade secrets 🖤 . Another scatterbrained post. Good job, Phantom. 🙄 . (The Kramer/Ballack combination was no coincidence. The WC broadcast in GER on the two "main" public TV channels, ARD & ZDF, alternating between matchdays. They always have pundits, former players or coaches. ARD's this year are Thomas Hitzlsperger and Stefan Kuntz (& Philipp Lahm for a weird sitting-by-a-lake-talking-for-two-minutes feature). ZDF's were supposed to be Oliver Kahn and Sebastian Kehl. But the latter cancelled on relatively short notice, taking a job with Borussia Dortmund. So in
what many perceived as a very surprising and kind of risky decision, ZDF announced they’d replaced him with Christoph Kramer (at least for the group stages, until Gladbach would start up training again). (Forgot, ARD also had Hannes Wolf). People were very doubtful about him. But then the first weekend of the world cup came around and ZDF’s turn to show the games & practically within minutes the German football crowd loved him, the social media echo was huuuuge! And not for nothing! He had asurprisingly casual and relaxed, unpretentious but knowledgeable approach and manner about him, it was really good!! He didn’t talk in the *usual phrases* (I’m they’ve got them in every language) and he didn’t pretend to be all-knowing, quite the opposite, there were a few times he said he couldn’t judge or didn’t know. He also ciriticised, but not cruelly, I really liked what he said on the whole Gündogan/Özil/Erdogan issue. So. ANYWAY. Coincidentally, his last day on TV was also the day of theday of South Korea vs Germany (11Freunde: “No matter how this ends, this will be sad day. It’s Christoph Kramer’s final time as pundit for ZDF. Dieter Hecking always ruining everything.”) I think it was supposed to be Oli Kahn (+Oli Welke) for this match and Kramer/Breyer for the evening games. (Kahn had always been on the GER games before). But ZDF, having caught on, had Welke/Kahn/Kramer in the afternoon and Breyer/Kramer in the evening. (There was a sweet bit of Kramer being obviouslyvery happy about Goretzka getting to start (“not only because he’s a very close friend of mine”) and accidently letting slip he’d known in advance since he was in contact with L.G. (Welke “And you didn’t tell us!?!”). I got the feeling Kahn felt Kramer’s competition and tried to up his game, lol. Anyway. I really liked ZDF’s coverage of it all, including the recap of the whole drama afterwards. Later, at the evening games with Breyer, they showed a tweet by Michael Ballack that was ratherscathing, saying how they could have dropped out with a team like that and that the attitude, mentality and the leading players were to be called into question. Breyer asked Kramer what he thought of it and Kramer said he thought it wasa bit too easy, too quick and unfair. That while obviously sth within the team didn’t gel, he couldn’t imagine any of the players at a world cup not wanting to win and going all in for that. And that mentality was a weird bit to criticise, since it was alwaysgreat when things were going right anyway. And the team’s character: “On the first matchday, we were talking about the inhomogeneity and splitting up into groups, then after the late goal in the Sweden game we were praising fighting spirit and the great character of the players and now…? It’s all a bit too fast and too much for me.” Within minutes of that being on TV Ballack tweeted “How can one ask a current player, which is ultimately part of the bigger circle of the Dfb team to commentobjectively about the #DFB team ?!!! 😂😂😂 @ZDFSport #Kramer #DieMannschaft #ZSMMN #WM2018 #Germany” There’s been no response from Kramer and there probably won’t be. Ballack’s goodbye from the national team wasn’t on the best of terms. He kind of said Lahm stole his captaincy while he was injured. — Make of that what you will. Too much about Kramer here, sorry. I really enjoyed his bit, and I wasn’t there for the Ballack drama, so I can’t judge… Most reporting on the incidentis kind of allong the lines of “Ballack is settling up with Löw/Ballack is attacking DFB, even lashing out at ZDF and their pundit Christoph Kramer”. Don’t know. Ballack was definitely a very good footballer and as far as I know, his captaincy in his time was undisputed. There was that incident with Podolski that I’ve heard about, which is weird that it didn’t seem to have any consequences for Poldi. Oh well. As I said. Make of it what you will.
i’m a bit…dizzy….from reading this…it’s a nice read though. thank you for sending me this. i knew a bit about Ballack’s goodbye from the NT… but i don’t have any opinions on it. this whole thing just kinda shows the intelligence and how good of a person Kramer is. which is super nice.

Dortmund legend remembers Klopp and the importance of being earnest - football
Tumblr media
Midnight, somewhere in Asia. Roman Weidenfeller and his Borussia Dortmund teammates have got off a long flight and into their hotel when coach Juergen Klopp says, “we will go for a run now.”“We thought he was joking, but run we did,” says Weidenfeller, who played 349 games for Borussia Dortmund in a 16-season career, half of which --- 2008-15 --- overlapped with Klopp as coach.“We would also go for runs at 6:30am; train three times a day,” Weidenfeller, a club ambassador, tells journalists at a city hotel abutting the Salt Lake stadium.“The first time he put us through such a schedule, we were, f****d. Then we understood. Soon, with the results coming in, we were inspired to do more,” says Weidenfeller, a 2014 World Cup winning squad member.Football for Klopp means being aggressive in front and at the back, says Weidenfeller. “With the biggest teams, he would pull them to our level,” says Weidenfeller, lifting his arms above the conference room table and bringing them down.“And then we fight, and then we win. Of course, Barcelona is better than Borussia Dortmund but Klopp will say, no, no…bring Barcelona to our level and then we will play.”Under Klopp, Dortmund were Bundesliga champions in 2010-11 and 2011-12, won the DFB Pokal (2011-12), the DFB Super Cup (2013) and were runners-up in the 2012-13 Champions League. “The second time we won Bundesliga, we were 10 points behind Bayern at the winter break and everybody said, ‘this year we don’t have a chance.’ He said, ‘take it easy’. ‘We have done our job, we have our tactics and if we can play strong, we have a chance,” says Weidenfeller, 39. Crucial to that campaign was an 86th minute penalty saved by Weidenfeller, off Bayern’s Arjen Robben. “I caught it directly. I was not a penalty killer and remember my father saying, ‘hey can you keep out one high-level penalty.’ And I did.” Weidenfeller played 32 of the 34 Bundesliga games in 2011-12 and was captain of the team the previous season when Sebastian Kehl was injured. “He (Klopp) is like a machine on the pitch and in the dressing room. He is a very strong (tough) coach but is also very human. Everytime you talk to him, he meets you with open ears. With him, it was like a family,” says Weidenfeller.Suresh Letchmanan, in Dortmund’s delegation here to explore chances of holding a legends’ game this year, says: “He remembers the smallest guy at the club.” Weidenfeller adds: “You can fight (argue) with him on the pitch. Next day you talk to him and he doesn’t bring up what happened the day earlier.”Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 and Weidenfeller says the move happened at the right time. “He builds things stone by stone (brick by brick) and makes a big club.“When he came to us from Mainz, he was not that experienced. He learnt in Dortmund and is learning more at Liverpool. Now he is better at technique and tactics and prefers to keep the ball like (Pep) Guardiola.”Borussia Dortmund haven’t scaled the heights Klopp took them to but the trend of recruiting and then polishing young players continues. “We have some experience there and that is an area we are interested in working in India,” says Letchmanan.Erling Braut Haland is the latest in a list that has Lars Ricken, Mario Goetze, Marcel Schmelzer, Jadon Sancho, Christian Pulisic, Ilkay Guendogan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.Weidenfeller says Dembele’s move to Barcelona wasn’t well-timed. “Sometimes it gets complicated with managers (agents) who smell money…smell a situation where they can put a player from great club to world class club. Dembele hasn’t used his chance at Barcelona. Sometimes, it is better to stay two more years at Dortmund or a smaller club and then go to a bigger club.”Having spent most of his international career as understudy to Jens Lehmann and Manuel Neuer, Weidenfeller knows what it is to be Marc Andre ter-Stegen. “Now, Neuer is the best but ter-Stegen is the future.”Germany coach Joachim Loew telling Weidenfeller he deserved to play more helped him deal with getting five international caps. None of them came at the 2014 World Cup but the goalkeeper says winning it was the best moment of his career.“Germany have always had good keepers. But I played for a big club and I hope, I did good,” he says. Read the full article

Hrm… Danone Waters wäre genauso schlimm … Plastiktüten darf man nicht einführen aber am Wegesrand sieht man überall Berge von leeren Plastikflaschen. . .  Naja, hauptsache man darf keine Tüten einführen.

Also zurück, Marsch Marsch, nach Anklam.
We had some warmer days. So we could finally pitch our tent for a few nights. It was a bit fresh though and it was a challenge for me to crawl out of my sleeping bag in the morning. But we were very hopeful for better days to come.
First, we had planned to cross the Peene Valley and crossing a lake via ferryboat to Usedom. But one ferry was not working yet and the other ferry didn’t go because the ferryman had died. And there was no one else with a boat. Too bad. Back to Anklam with a whole crowd of other cyclist who were lost like us.
Finally we made it to the shore of the Baltic Sea at Usedom.  Ahlbeck on a sunny Sunday morning was really busy. We weren‘t that surprised to get a shout from a lucky Australian – Netherland group that we had met yesterday, who invited us for a cup of coffee now. Of course we agreed and had a small talk. We had done just four kilometers. How far could we ever go?
In Swinemünde we crossed the river Swina via ferryboat. We rode across huge forestlands onwards to the Northeast. To the left hand we had the coastline of the Baltic Sea and to the right hand we saw the lakes and rivers of the Stettiner Haff. Awesome! All the birds were singing their great songs.
We loved the woods, we crossed the National Park of Wollin and passed through a lot of small coastal towns. There are a lot of white cliffs around  and we liked to take a rest with a sight to the sea.
We didn‘t follow straight the way of the EuroVelo 10 but took some small roads which led us somewhat into the backcountry.
So we reached Drzwirzyno. We were in a cabin for two days. Because the cold and the rain would be back.
Time to check the equipment and do some laundry.

October is almost over already... I can't believe it!! 😮 It has always been my favorite month, although it is one I am scarcely able to enjoy due to how busy it typically is. This year, I have had more time to enjoy it... which has been nice. 🧡🎃🍁 . But October ISN'T over yet. There are still two major things happening this October here in NoMi... at least for my family and I. FIRST! Reminder that on October 26th at 10:00, @_foodfoto_ will be leading a guided photography tour through the abandoned buildings at @thevillagetc I will be one of two models on the tour. Contact @_foodfoto_ if interested in joining in on the spooky fun 😊 . ALSO. Halloween is just around the corner. I will be helping my mom, brother and myself get geared up for the BEST holiday EVER (okay, second best. Easter is my fav 🐣). Any guesses who we might be? The theme for work this year is villains... 😈 . You can leave your guesses below. HINT! We are all evil(ish), but unrelated... . #autumnmermaid #michiganmermaid #michiganmodel #traversecity #traversecitymermaid #tcmermaid #traversecitymodel #gothmermaid #gothmodel #queenofdarkness #fallcolors #halloweenvibes #fallvibes #northernmichiganmermaid #lakemichiganmermaid #MermaidPhantom #TheMagicCrafter (at Kehl Lake Natural Area) https://www.instagram.com/p/B32HyarHi1j/?igshid=b8xorykxqz29

What are the Best Wineries in Wisconsin?
It’s the simple things in life that are often the best, and what simple pleasure is better or more universally loved than a good glass of wine? With all of the rainfall and sun and heat Wisconsin receives, it’s surprising more don’t think of this state first when they think of wine. Wisconsin may be best known for its cheese and sports, but don’t underestimate how good its wine is or the wonderful wineries that produce this wine. After all, if you have the best cheese in the country, it certainly won’t hurt to have a fine wine to go with it.
Wollersheim Winery
The Wollersheim Winery is located on the site of the historic Kehl Winery, which first operated starting 1867. It later would become a dance hall during the Prohibition Era, and now it’s the home of Wollersheim, which has turned the estate back into a functioning winery and distillery. The complex is available for tours and there is a wine tasting at the end. But perhaps best of all, it has a very warm atmosphere, which makes the wine taste that much better. The winery can be located at 7876 State Rd. 188 near Prairie du Sac.
youtube
Botham Vineyards & Winery
Another fine place to tour, Botham Vineyards & Winery is a verdant estate with trees framing the long rows of grapes with classic mid-century shop decorations and signs to liven up the inside and the outdoor dining area. Make sure not to miss the winery gift shop, which has many great gifts, foods and wines for sale.  Botham can be found at 8180 Langberry Rd., Barneveld, which is located in southeast Wisconsin.

There are plenty of other wineries to see, but if you want to turn heads when you go to visit, make sure you or the gal you’re with is wearing a hoodie that shows off your appreciation for the Great Lakes, which help give Wisconsin the rain it needs to make such lovely wine

If there is a word to describe Maisa Kehl, it would be: driven. This Brazilian hustles more than most models, and it shows in the diversity of work she is always creating. Maisa brings a positive energy to modeling like few can, and is always on the road doing what she loves. And it doesn’t hurt that she is finely tuned in to her own healthy (admittedly quite nice) sexuality.
Maisa resides in Salt Lake City when she isn’t traveling (which is often), and has worked with some of the best photographers all over, published numerous times, and shows no sign of slowing down. But enough babble, let’s get to know Maisa Kehl a bit better here on Spekture!

Spekture!: What are some things you dislike/hate about the industry? Maisa Kehl: I believe that we all could have a little less “egos” and more “kinder-hearts”
S!: When it’s all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as? Maisa: I would love to be remembered as a woman, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a coworker, a human being, a powerful loving committed manifestor, a passionate beautiful spirit of light.
S!: What is fun and rewarding about modeling? McKenzie: I didn’t start modeling to ‘make it’ I started because it gave me a sense of confidence that I can’t even explain. When I’m moving from pose to pose, creating with other artists, I’m in my element, I love the way my body naturally flows, I am in love with myself and with the world around me.
S!: What advice do you have for other aspiring models? Maisa: Don’t ever give up. Success and champions are not made of winners, they are made of lessons and attitude. Don’t give a damn about “opinions”. People will question your path because they can’t imagine travel on your shoes. This is not their life so their perspectives don’t apply in your life (except if it’s a constructive criticism) 🙂 Don’t compare yourself and your work to anyone. Be yourself. Love yourself. Give yourself the chance to be unique and shine your light in this world.
S!: What is your dream car? Maisa: Shelby GT Cobra
S!: Do you have any pet peeves? Maisa: I can’t stand pessimism and bad manners.
S!: What’s your favorite thing to eat and why? Maisa: Sashimi/Sushi, for several reasons, it is a very healthy meal, It’s a good source of heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, it’s also low in calories and it’s delicious.
S!: What are your biggest turn-ons? Maisa: Integrity, politeness, kindness, drive, a positive attitude.
S!: What’s your favorite part of your body? Maisa: My smile. It’s impressive how much a smile can convey, it speaks long before I get the chance to.
S!: Do you have any guilty pleasures? Maisa: Chocolate… it’s so sweet and melts in your mouth… how not to love it.
S!: Do you have a favorite social media platform? Maisa: I use daily and love each one for different reasons: Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat
S!: Tell us about any interesting hobbies you have. Maisa: When I’m not modeling, I love to travel to warm places, go hiking, boating, meditate, do yoga.
S!: If you only had 24 hours to live, what would you do? Maisa: Spend with my family.
S!: What drink would you order at the bar? Maisa: A glass of Merlot.
S!: What is the most exotic destination you’ve traveled to? Maisa: Amsterdam… It’s as wild and eclectic as it gets.
S!: What kind of music gets you moving the most? Maisa: I love to hear the latest hits, pop, and I never turn down a good reggae.
S!: Have you any interest or experience in the automotive scene? Maisa: Yes, I love velocity, comfort, and good people, the car scene offers it all.
S!: What are some major turn-offs? Maisa: Insecurity, laziness, cockiness, bad manners or bad hygiene.
S!: What’s your ideal date? Maisa: I love some champagne, satin sheets, and chocolate covered strawberries 😉 but I will never skip the chance to enjoy a date with a drive down the sunset, enjoy a delicious green juice, a seat on a warm beach in a comfy bikini having a good conversation.
S!: Do you like to be surprised? Maisa: I love surprises.
S!: What should a man never do on a date? Maisa: Keep checking his phone.
S!: What can a guy do to make you feel sexy? Maisa: Be a gentleman and always complement the clothes.
S!: What are your modeling goals for 2018? Maisa: This past year has been amazing. I have been far busier than I ever was in the previous years, and have gotten to be a part of so many amazing opportunities in such a small time (Miss Brazil Bikini International, International Bikini Model Search, etc.). In 2018 I want to work even more and consistently. I will work even harder with promoting my endeavors via social media and everyday life. I want to shamelessly promote with purpose and intent. I am my own business after all. And for the future, my goal is to eventually consult in the industry. I would be honored to share my network and knowledge with the future generation.
S!: Which feature on your body gets the most attention? Maisa: My natural Brazilian booty 🙂
S!: Who/What inspired you to get into modeling? Maisa: My parents, they have always been my biggest cheerleaders and support.
S!: What is your secret to staying in shape? Maisa: I choose to eat mostly organic foods, and I do few minutes of yoga daily.
S!: What advice would you give to those hoping to enter the world of modeling? Maisa: Have clear the reasons why you want to be a model. Find a mentor in the industry that you can trust and follow his/her advice. Go for it, you will discover another world within yourself. Have answers to these two questions; How much time can you spare dedicating to modeling? How much money can you invest in it?

Und was mir fehlt.
