I'm sorry I just can't take Ed's Kraken beard seriously anymore ever since I realized that a possible modern equivalent would be him drawing it on with a sharpie. He'd look like he passed out drunk at a frat party

Then he has to spend an hour scrubbing it off because the fumes are making him dizzy. Then like the heartbroken idiot he is, he decides to redraw it with a scented marker which is worse because now everything smells like licorice.

Finally Izzy walks in on him scribbling all over his face with an eyeliner pencil in front of the bathroom mirror while a Taylor Swift song blasts from his phone and, grumbling a string a expletives under his breath, Izzy just grabs his keys and walks out to go find Stede because as much as he hates the guy, he just cannot take this shit anymore. He's had Nothing Compares 2 U stuck in his head for over a week and besides that was HIS eyeliner.

Diana I am going to ask you a weird question but I cannot think of anyone else who would have an answer for me, and you are so learned in the ways of cosmetics. Is there any easy way to make one's eyebrows funny colours in the short term? I mean, not dying them, but like, could I put eyeshadow on them? Maybe lipstick? What would happen if I brushed nail polish on them? Honestly I don't even know why I would want my eyebrows to be funny colours, but since the idea came into my head I cannot stop thinking about it.

good news I do this a lot for cosplay so I actually know!

it’s easier if your brows aren’t super black (mine are a dark grey brown), but even then, here’s some go to methods I use in order of how often I use them

1) use a white creamy base (I go for nyx jumbo pencil in milk because I’m old school), brush it with a spoolie to evenly coat, and use colored eyeshadow to fill like brow powder. Sometimes I’m super lazy and just skip the white base, especially if I’ve bleached my brows a bit

2) colored pomade. When I had burgundy hair this was my daily go to! The best I’ve tried is by KVD (which no longer gives money to Kat Von D?? they bought her out but kept the name).

3) color mascara

4) if you have a weird color liquid lipstick… well don’t contaminate your lipstick with an eyebrow brush or your actual eyebrows (put it on a palette and then pick it up!!!) but it works

Nail polish is right out.

Had a daydream and I wanna outline it and share some doodles;

-To start, I'm bouncing off the Possessed!Deku idea

-AND OK SO Izuku has to get into the mind space of OFA vs AFO to try to save Tomura(Tenko). He kind of manages to get through but AFO still has his spiritual fingers all up in Tenko's mental representation, like we saw in that instance during the war arc.

-Tomura is still disbelieving that Izuku would actually do what it takes to save him, that he's all talk, like all heroes. There's nothing substantial to his claims of wanting to save him from AFO, even if Tomura wants it.

-Izuku, selfless as he is, offers himself up as trade for Tomura.

-Tomura thinks he is crazy, AFO laughs his head off, genuinely amused by the turn of events. But to everyone's surprise, AFO RELASES Tomura and, in that mental scape, surges forth and takes hold of Izuku.

-Izuku wakes up, but he's possessed, and immediately, AFO, through him, begins fighting Katsuki, who had been Izuku's immediate guardian on the physical side of things. Tomura is snapped back into control of his body, but immediately loses consciousness off to the side.

-AFO uses OFA through Deku to really throw Katsuki around, Katsuki realizes pretty much immediately what happened, and tries to not only fight AFO, but break through to Izuku. Maybe AFO fights some of the other heroes around but probably Katsuki the most because of his significance, and because Katsuki would be front and center and focused on trying to get Izuku back. (Its kind of his personal mission to help Izuku, after all)

-Of course this is how KvD pt. 3 could come up. Similar to Deku saying he was "the only one who could accept Kacchan's feelings," Katsuki takes initiative in fighting Deku, he's the only one who can do this rn, to contain Izuku.

-but with access to all of Izuku's quirks, AFO pretty easily knocks him around, espeically since Katsuki doesn't want to ACTUALLY hurt Izuku while he's possessed.

-Throw in some dialogue of AFO taunting Katsuki in Izuku's voice, and Katsuki having none of that shit.

- Eventually AFO!Izuku throws him into the ground, holds him down and is about to punch him into the dirt when Katsuki speaks again, panting and nearing exhaustion,

-"Stupid Deku, snap out of it...I fucking love you" (Very similar vibes to San and Ashitaka when he tells her she's beautiful at knifepoint, in Princess Mononoke)

-Suddenly, and surprisingly, Izuku's eyes overflow with tears. AFO pauses, but then LAUGHS, because it's basically Izuku's mind hearing what Katsuki said, knowing he was hurting Kacchan against his will, but not being able to control himself under AFO's possession. So all he can do is cry at Katsuki's words. AFO kinda gets sadistic about it and mocks the boys.

-BUT HEYO, AFO moves on quickly, and we get some sadistic-looking shots of AFO!Deku looking over his shoulder, because...AFO HIMSELF IS ROLLING UP.

-Izuku, possessed, starts floating up towards AFO to meet him.

-Katsuki yells and fights and explodes, trying to break free of Black Whip(AFO using to restrain him), screaming for Deku.

-Meanwhile, nearby, Tomura regains consciousness and sees AFO, the man he now knows has manipulated him his entire life(and maybe even has been revealed to be the catalyst to him even HAVING the Decay quirk and destroying his life/family in the first place)...and sees Izuku possessed and inching closer to AFO's outstretched hand.

-Izuku is inches from AFO's hand, when suddenly,

-He is suddenly snapped out of possession and AFO lurches in front of him

-Tomura has sent out the same tendrils he had used in the War Arc to try to skewer Izuku, but they have arced around him, and landed in the torso of AFO.

-Tomura eventually not only fights AFO, but ends up decaying him for everything he's done to him.

-Fill in the blanks before during and after, to taste, this is just kind of a loose idea. Of course, this doesn't account for any Predecessor shenanigans in the OFA space. Ofc, we STILL need that big reveal of the second's Quirk, which apparently will be a game changer. So this was kinda just a fun what-if.

UHH YEAH I just started doodling this after noon and went a bit nuts. Thought I would share this self-indulgent idea. And yes that aftermath bkdk doodle there, I love with my whole heart rn lmao.

NGL, the idea of possessed Izuku is kind of growing on me, esp if we get to see a little bit of AFO's sadisim through Izuku's innocent little face, and I love the drama of Katsuki and Izuku's relationship and partnership in the final battle being thrown into chaos like this.

POSSESSION THEORY IS ACTUALLY KINDA APPEALING.

Additionally, I kinda like this quasi-redemption theory for Tomura. I really do hope that he fucking DESTROYS AFO, after all the manipulation and gaslighting and arguably, theoretically, setting the stage for Tenko to have his life destroyed(kinda high-key hope THAT theory is true)

I am guessing that you do not want to use KVD stuff because of all the awful things Kat said? If that is the case, you do not have to worry that you are giving her any money. The company started falling so she sold all the rights to everything. It is still called KVD but she has nothing to do with it

Oh yes, I know she sold it, but everything about this brand still screams Kat to me, so if I can find a similar lipstick but from a different brand - I'd like to get that instead.

But, not gonna lie, price dropping from 105 PLN (23 euro) to 30 PLN (6,50 euro) is a strong argument for "well, maybe I should get it" :')

it was gifted to me this summer, kat von d stepped down from the company/sold her share in the brand in january 2020. she is no longer affiliated with the brand at all and does not profit from it anymore

i boycotted her products for years since i found out about her antisemitism and i’m not interested in buying anything from the company even now. but i think i can safely say i’m not supporting her by enjoying a perfume someone gave me as a gift.

Just an add-on to that anon, you have to separate the artist from the person. This is especially true if the reason they are "controversial" has not been proven true. Of course, you would have to draw the line at some point. There's only so much that a person can do that you're willing to forgive. Basically, don't feel guilty for appreciating someone's musical talent. You have absolutely no responsibility for any decisions they make as a person.

for me, this is a really difficult concept. i agree with it in some ways, but in other ways, i don’t. i do think in some situations we can separate the art from the artist -- so many painters back in the day were horrible people, but their works still hang in museums, and we still consider them to be icons. michael jackson did a lot of horrible things, but he is still considered the prince king of pop. 

but do i think these people deserve to be idolized? absolutely not. it’s possible to recognize the genius of thriller without dressing up like him for halloween. it’s possible to appreciate picasso’s paintings without using him as inspiration because he was a complete narcissist and misogynist -- including when he was working and making art.

and please forgive me, but i absolutely don’t agree with “you have absolutely no responsibility for any decisions they make as a person.” first, i think people who have any sort of following do have a responsibility to be a role model for those people, whether they like it or not. they have a duty to think three times before doing something. second, if you don’t like the decisions someone is making, then you shouldn’t be supporting them with your money. i think that j*ffree st*r makes some really great makeup products. i would love to try one of his palettes and some lipsticks. but he is an absolutely awful, racist person who does literally nothing to change, so i am never going to financially support him. and if enough people stop financially supporting him, then maybe he’ll finally understand that he’s terrible. it worked with KVD -- so many people boycotted her makeup brand, and now she is no longer associated with the company or making any money from it. so, i do think we absolutely have some responsibility in that regard.

I’m awake again. I will need to force myself to go to sleep before 6:30AM when I normally wake up. I shouldn’t do another day of work where I’m not truly awake. It gets to difficult in the afternoon.

I looked and saw that my subscriber count is still going up, not sure by how much compared to yesterday though. I’ll definitely try to make a video after work. If I don’t have to do any weekend work, I’ll try to make another one. I’ve made so many videos, it feels funny to have a huge backlog compared to other people. It makes you a bit exhausted. I always worry about not knowing what to do.

I never went back to sleep. Why do I do this to myself? Why? I’ve been browsing youtube and paying my bills. I only managed to save $300.00 this month. Eeep.

I took a shower and now I’m thinking about getting ready early. I’m drinking a glass of water. I realized earlier that I haven’t drank only water in a long time. Isn’t that pathetic? And disgusting? I’m always drinking pepsi or dr. pepper.

I received my Kat Von D / KVD Vegan Beauty Lolita Por Vida palette. It is beautiful. I’m still not very good at putting on makeup, but I can definitely make a few good looks from this. I love the bigger shimmers and the glitter shade. I would say the only downside to it, is that I prefer the bigger shimmers, but not the regular ones. They seem dry.

Also, I received my foundation from Kokie Cosmetics. One shade will work, the other was too dark. The other could be good if I get a foundation that is too light though, so maybe it won’t go to waste.

10. Inspiration/Muse: Uh... I don’t know? Other people are pretty inspiring! But I don’t inspire easily. I get brief flashes, but nothing that sticks...

11. Dream Job: God this changes all the time. Like, actual job that I get paid for? I just want to work in the government and help make things better. That’s why I’m sticking with local gov and community development. It’s important work! And maybe it isn’t the foreign service, but it’s there and at the end of the day you can say I actually helped someone do something, which is important if I’m not going to burnout or wilt and wane.

My actual dream “job” though? Being the cantankerous neighborhood aunty. I want to be the person adults feel safe letting their children outside because they know I’ll be on the porch watching them. I want to be the neighbor that other neighbors feel they can go to if there’s some sort of problem. I want kids who need a little bit more attention to tell me that they got an A on their history test, and I want to be able to tell them good job and give them a treat. I want to make sure everyone in my neighborhood is able to vote if they want to, and if folks aren’t naturalized I want to tutor them for the naturalization exam. Is that weird? It’s probably really weird. Sorry.

12. I was doing roller derby for a bit before my league turned weird. I also love Sakura Haruno, particularly @itsthechocopuff’s interpretation of the character.

13. Top three ships: VetVimes has a real hold on me. Uh, outside of that? I mean, I’m good with most ships, tbh. I really like Shikamaru/Sakura.

14. Chapstick or lipstick: Am I putting in effort or no? If I’m putting in effort, it’s lipstick every time. If not, chapstick. Though, to be honest, I do like playing around with different colors. So if it’s what I prefer to mess around with when I’m feeling playful, then lipstick! Absolutely! I have a couple of dark greens, a black liquid lipstick (Witches - KVD), a nice chocolate brown color (Beautymark - Nyx), a few reds (Outlaw -KVD, Exotic - Nyx), a nice spooky gray-lavender-mauve color (Embellishment - Nyx)... even an entire lip pallet to make my own (Anastasia-BH)!

15. Currently reading: Street Magic by Tamora Pierce! Plants! Stones! Magic! Middle Eastern/Central Asia inspired setting! POC characters! Snarky elder lesbian character with realistic recovery from a small amount of brain damage received two books prior! the beauty industry fucking suucks but i think makeup is fun sometimes and because you are an expert on purple i was wondering if you had suggestions for a purple lip color? you are cool and funny have a good thurs day tomorrow.

first of all relatable second of all i actually have a lot of purple lipsticks, surprising no one ghsfdkjghfd heres a list of my purples that are within arms reach currently:

-nyx soft matte lip cream in “copenhagen”; sort of a reddish-burgundyish-purple but im still counting it bc its one of my favorite lip colors of all time

-colourpop ultra matte in “shay day”; its like a fuschia pinky-purple

-nyx liquid suede in “sway”; this ones like a lighter lilac-y color that i dont wear as much bc it kind of washes me out but itd look extremely dope on someone w a darker complexion than mine

-nyx liquid suede in “amethyst”; as the name suggests its a darker richer purple, sort of blue-toned, and i do wear this one a lot when i remember i have it

-nyx butter gloss in “sugar plum”; the butter glosses are all really sheer and unless you layer them the color isnt super obvious but i really like that personally. i layer this one on top of pink lip stain and i think it looks very cool

-sephora pantone universe watercolor gloss in “sunlit allium”; really similar to the butter gloss in that it’s very sheer although this color is a little darker/a little less vibrant. i like it a lot tho i dont wear it much bc i just dont wear much gloss

-colourpop gloss in “sookie”; i havent worn this one for a while bc like i said i dont wear gloss often but its like a dark opaque reddish-purple. its a really nice color id tough out my dislike of gloss and wear it more if i didnt have matte shades that are a similar color

-colourpop matte creame in “hutch”; really really dark dramatic red-purple i used to wear this one aaaaaall the time and im probably gonna order another one soon since my tube is kind of old now. definitely necessitates the use of a clear lip liner bc it feathers something fierce but the color makes it worth it imo

-kat von d liquid lipstick in “exorcism”; this one was given to me by a friend (i dont buy kvd) so im gonna be sad when it runs out. its a pretty similar color to the sookie gloss from colourpop but in a matte form

-mac viva glam lipstick in “ariana grande”; they gave one of these to everyone at a camp i went to last summer. epic win. its a pretty basic dark purple but i like it although i havent worn it much (i keep forgetting i have it lol)

-colourpop matte in “guess”; blueish purple so dark its almost black. i dont wear it much (if im in the mood to go that dark anyway i just wear black) but its a nice shade

-there was a nyx cream lipstick that was like my favorite purple lipstick of all time but i used it all and i cannot for the life of me find it anywhere in stores or online now. i still have the tube somewhere but i cant find it rn ill update if i do and maybe youll have better luck searching for it than i have

ok im pretty sure i have more but thats everything i can find rn (my lipsticks are always orbiting in a complex rotation btwn my makeup case, my backpack, and the pockets of my jackets and im not sure which stop the missing tubes are at right now) listing all of these out like this has made me realize that i might have a Purple Problem so i hope its helpful lol.
