Let's just skip to the fun part!

[INFO ABOUT THE AU UNDER THE CUT]

Frisk is a little kid who woke up late at night to drink some water, and somehow, they ended up following their favourite plushie, Tommy, into a closet that led them to a dreamy world.

Long story short: Every monster you see here, is a kid's toy or a character from a media designed for kids.

The dreamy world is full of fun and adventures, but not all toys are as friendly as Frisk would expect, so they have to eventually fight back or run away.

They could return home at any point, but oh, there's so much to do in the DreamLand!

Steven was just getting back from a late night at the office when he noticed your manic pages scattered half way across the living room with the closest piece of paper being a sticky note.

--Steven, I went for a walk to get some coffee from Barto's. Be back soon. Love, [Name].

Deadlines were quite common for both of you sadly, especially since you happened to be a novelist. Too many large spiral bound notebooks with bent or missing or added pages, often times all three, had been traded between the two of you. Accidental swapping leading to some weird little mishaps that Steven smoothed over by claiming to be part of a special police force.

Steven's curiosity took over, your latest feverish passion project splayed across tables, chairs, and pinned across the wall made it easy enough. Though, Steven stopped and picked up one page that didn't seem to go with the rest.

One eyebrow threatened to disappear further into Steven's dark bangs as he studied the scribbles. Hearts, snowflakes, little stars, and his name scrawled across the page. Some iterations were his full name, others were just his initials.

"What in the world is all this?"

You stopped in the door, frozen while holding two coffees. You knew Steven would beat you home, but what did he find? Easing around the corner, you saw him turning a single page over and over. While you couldn't deny how damned ridiculously handsome he was at this angle, you were mortified by the realization he founf your doodle page.

"Uh....I can explain."

Steven jumped a little, spinning to see where the voice came from.

"You can explain this?" Steven held the page out at an angle, "This has a reason behind it? Should I be worried?" A teasing chuckle came from the dark haired male, "Should I frisk you for love potions?"

"That--! I didn't--!" You turned a bright red, voice rising in pitch with every abrupt cut off, "It's innocent, I swear!"

Steven laughed a little, "I'm only teasing Amor. What is this for?"

"I get mad writer's block and start kinda....." You poked your fingers together in front of your chest, "Doodle absent-mindedly. It helps me focus..... Especially when I get stuck thinking about......you."

Steven blinked, nearly dropping the page of doodles. His face slowly turning bright pink at your confession. That isn't the worst thing to come home to at least. And the coffee was definitely a bonus, not that Steven needed a reason to be cuddly with you.
