ok now that the author’s note is out of the way here’s some notes about the not!fic heddy & stammer tailor au:

stammer as the tailor from gent’s playbook, very reserved, quiet, with an excellent eye for details (honestly the evidence i have for his style sense is just that he’s best friends with pk subban so it has to be there somewhere if only by proxy irl) is hired by victor hedman, star of the tampa bay lightning who is every other tailor’s nightmare to dress (huge, opinionated, fashionable)

heddy is decently well-known throughout the league for being very well-dressed & becomes quietly well known for also being one of his new tailor’s favorite loyal customers [heddy has the nicest fabrics. he has his suits the first day a new collection drops & e v e r y o n e is jealous]

stammer’s business booms after heddy takes a chance on him as his first big client & promotes him, heddy sees him grow in popularity & get more clients

heddy also moonlights as a model for stammer’s suits on instagram, initially to help him grow his business because then he won’t have to pay for a model and then because he’s over there all the time anyway because they’re dating (that’s why the model’s face is never in the pictures)

there’s not really a plot to this besides the vague idea of a plot where stammer makes heddy his lucky suit that he wins the cup in & sews a special little tag into the lining of his jacket that says i love you

because love sometimes is picking out the perfect right color pocket square to match your husband’s beautiful suit that you fitted like a kiss to the curves of his huge body

& also sometimes love is making your beautiful husband who makes you beautiful clothing enjoy nice things for himself once in a while, like the fancy watch you bought him or the nice suit you custom-ordered for him (from him) just so you could take it off of him

An awful sleeper, not in the sense that he's awful to sleep next to, it's just that... he can't sleep for a few hours without waking up. He doesn't know if it's a holdover of sleeping lightly because he was terrified of when his father would randomly come home in the middle of the night drunk out of his mind, but it still happens

Up and down all night, but has mastered the art of not waking up his significant other

Looks stressed out even when he sleeps.

Mr. Cuddles

No sense of personal space when it comes to sleeping. You'll wake up sweating profusely because he has somehow wrapped all four of his limbs around you in the middle of the night and WILL not let go.

Snores, but it's a very quiet rumbling. A good noise to fall asleep to, but not something that will keep you up at night.

Sleeps in just his boxers, usually

Paul

Sleeps naked, doesn't care what anyone else thinks. The man ran hot even before he shifted, so now it's just ridiculous.

Shoves all of his blankets to the side and onto his partner

Kind of an obnoxious sleeper, snores loudly but ONLY if he's sleeping on his back.

A light sleeper. Takes him a long time to fall asleep and if he wakes up, chances are that he'll be up for a while.

Sleeps with the window open. Doesn't care that his room might get damp; he likes the sounds of the crickets and the wind too much to care.

Mumbles in his sleep sometimes about nothing in particular.

Jacob

Doesn't move much when he sleeps. He'll probably reach out to touch you to make sure that you're still there, but otherwise he pretty much keeps to his side of the bed unless you are the one to move over to snuggle against him.

Kicks his blankets all the way to the end of the bed every night.

Three pillows: one for under his head, one for in his arms, and one to wrap his legs around.

Quil

Has like four fans spinning in his room at once because the man is H O T.

Has a thing about sleeping with his socks on? He has to sleep with socks. No question. Anyone who's sleeping next to him must ALSO have socks because he will jump and scream if cold bare feet touch him in the middle of the night.

Shirtless, but usually wears boxers or like basketball shorts or something to bed. It just can't be constricting, otherwise he won't be able to fall asleep

Leah

Don't even THINK about touching Leah when she sleeps because you WILL get a whole can of whoop-ass unleashed. Can't stand being touched in her sleep for whatever reason

She'll snuggle with you, but she'll be up all night because of it and will probably untangle herself from you in the middle of the night

It's a sensory thing - she doesn't know why it bothers her, it just does

Sleeps in shorts and a tank top, or sometimes just the tank top and underwear

Light sheet, lots of fluffy pillows

Don't judge him for his many stuffed animals, okay??? He has attachment issues and doesn't want to get rid of them

Stardew valley rant:

I’ve recently been really getting into the life of spouses after you marry them, because for the majority of them, they kinda just stick at home, occasionally visiting family or friends. And those who do still do stuff, it never changes. Maru always works with Harvey at the clinic, Emily always works for Gus at the saloon, nothing really changes in their lives besides a new, much more sedentary lifestyle. I really would like for the spouses to get new hobbies and stuff when they marry you, so here’s my little ideas/headcannons, bachelorettes first!

Abigail: She begins to work on her adventuring skills in the mines and you’ll find her on every fifth floor, going further and further. She’ll give you gems from her travels, and eventually, when she reaches the bottom of the mines, she’ll start going to the skull caverns where she’ll give you iridium and the occasional prismatic shard. Something cool that could happen would be the addiction of an elevator to the skull caverns as she travels further down, every 25 floors. She would also become a member of the adventurer’s guild and serve as Marlon’s apprentice, taking over the guild on some days or opening a branch in the Calico desert that she mans sometimes.

Maru: Maru never really branches out beyond her personal inventions, so I think there could be a quest where she asks you for a new wing of the house that she could use as a workshop. This wing would be constructed by Robin, would be unlocked at 20 hearts, and would cost 750,000 gold, 250 hardwood, 10 iridium bars and 10 battery packs. Then, you could accept quests from Maru every once in a while and unlock new inventions that she made that would increase qol. Maybe she could give you a crafting recipe for auto-petters, she could make a device that automatically plants grass in meadows for your animals, a machine that can increase the quality of items by using a resource or something, the possibilities are endless!

Penny; Penny is always caring for the children of the valley, and I think it would be great if when you marry her, like Maru, you eventually get a quest that allows you to build a school for the kids, possibly utilizing the space to the left of the community center. Maybe then we could have another mini-festival where you can see the children of stardew valley show off their work, maybe unlock a “Talent Show” cutscene where Jas, Vincent, and Leo show off their skills fr. This idea is more underwhelming than my first two and could definitely be improved.

Emily: I think as you progress your post marital relationship with Emily you could help her convince Sandy to move to the valley and have someone else take over the Oasis, learning Sandy’s real name, unlocking special cutscenes with her, etc. I also feel like Emily would have a little workshop where she makes clothes and you could unlock a system where she takes your gems and a clothing item and combines them, giving your clothes a buff, like combining Topaz with a shirt gave the shirt a +1 defense buff, etc. Emily could even start a clothing line and you could gift these clothes to townspeople and get new sprites and portraits for them :D

Haley: After marriage, Haley does literally nothing but see Emily once a week. This needdsss to change, so I think she could discover her passion for photography again and start a blog about the valley, which would unlock a building to the right side of the Bus Stop: the Tourist Center. You could open a tourist center with Haley and occasionally get tourists that come to the valley, similar to the tourists at the Stardew Valley Fair. These tourists could roam around the town for a bit, and you could unlock new dialogue with the townspeople about the tourists, like “These tourists are really boosting the community economy!”

(Cc specific) Leah: Leah would start hosting art classes in the community center every Wednesday! Every month, the group of people who decided to attend could make a new painting that could be hung up in the community center, orrrr you could unlock a new building between the Blacksmith and the Movie Theater/JojaMart, where you could see the different art pieces and could have a new festival, the stardew valley fine arts conference, where the Famous Painter Lupini could host a talk with the artsy people from the valley and Zuzu City, and you could get new clothing items, a cutscene, dialogue, new paintings and sculptures, etc.

Bachelors and Having a Baby

I saw another hc blog do this and I wanna do my own take~

Sebastian --

Extremely shocked when you tell him you're pregnant, but would react with a blank face and "oh, huh. Interesting." It does not sink in for a few minutes to an hour, and then he's losing his fucking mind.

Never thought he would be a dad, and convinced himself he would be a bad one. Even if him and the farmer weren't using protection, it still blindsides him

He cuts back on freelance work to help more around the farm, especially in the last trimester. The farmer is NOT allowed to do anything more strenuous than play video games. He will prob call on Abigail and Sam to help, he's not exactly the most athletic guy in the world.

Despite his fears that he wouldn't do a good job, he certainly works to make sure they won't come true. Reads a lot of parenting books and talks to Robin a lot. Those talks heal a bit of the rift between them.

Robin jokes that she's too young to be a grandma, but Demetrius cries when he's given a World's Best Grandpa mug. Maru happily steps up as an aunt and will spoil the baby with custom made toys and a ton of STEM for baby books.

Abigail and Sam are the chaotic aunt and uncle I imagine Shane was to Jas. They will babysit (mostly Sam) but expect funny pictures and wacky situations.

Elliott --

He is overjoyed when you tell him the news. He's going to be a papa! Lots of hugs and swinging you around. He doesn't strike me as the type to seek parenthood, but would lovingly embrace it once given to him.

It doesn't hit him for a while that a baby is going to mean changing his lifestyle quite a bit. No more all nighters, he won't be able to write for hours and hours at a time anymore. He finds it worth changing that aspect of his life to adjust to this new addition, a physical manifestation of your love.

Starts to change his habits early on so he'll be better suited after the baby arrives. Fully supports when you go nest mode and will move the furniture around as much as you want.

Has had a list of names for years before you even meet him. And all of them are beautiful

Leah takes on an aunt type roll, and loves teaching the baby about art and colors.

Sam --

Panics hard at the announcement. It doesn't matter that you're married, he still feels like he's sixteen sometimes, and he's worried about getting in trouble

Jodi and Kent are overjoyed at becoming grandparents, and Vincent thinks it's cool he's going to be an uncle.

Abigail and Sebastian make fun of him for being so worried about it, and help him get ready mentally to be a dad. They may need to remind him how much he helped with Vincent.

Once he calms down and realizes his family isn't going to be mad and his friends will stick around, he's extremely excited. He helped make an entirely new person! Someone he can teach music to! Can you skateboard with a baby?

Happily becomes the stay at home dad and handles a lot of the childcare.

Absolutely writes banger after banger of goofy songs for his kid

Alex --

I think he would be the type that always wanted to be a dad, just to spite how bad his was. When you tell him he's going to be one, he's over the moon. One of the few times you ever see him cry is when you tell him about the pregnancy, and again when the baby arrives.

Immediately befriends all the moms in Pelican Town and joins their gossip groups so he can get their advice and help as you prep for the baby. They adore him. He's like their pet.

Gets into what-to-expect books and takes over farm chores basically as soon as you tell him. No, you don't need to be doing all of that. He's got it. Which, I do think he would be pretty involved on the farm. I don't think he's the type to slouch while his spouse does everything. You can trust that he'll do well.

Evelyn and George are shocked by the news. George especially didn't think they'd live long enough to see it. They both love the little one quite a bit, and despite George's general attitude, he only speaks sweetly to the baby.

Haley will absolutely bury you in baby outfits as gifts.

Harvey --

Probably the most panicked on the list. He's not an ob/gyn but he IS medically trained and knows how easily everything can go wrong.

This doesn't mean he isn't thrilled and amazed in equal measure. Sure, you knew it was a possibility, but... He's so happy. He always wanted to be a dad, and now it's happening! He gets very misty-eyed.

He starts taking over cooking to be sure you're getting all the nutrients you need. You will find snacks in your bag, all healthy.

He also wants you to cut back on the farmwork, maybe hire someone for a season or two to hold it down. He would take over if he could, but being the town's only doctor keeps him too occupied.

He will absolutely do every type of birthing partner class.

He also helps set up the birth plan. He handles your medical needs until the birth. The plan is to go to Zuzu City about when the baby is due, deliver in the big hospital where he can be by your side and let someone else be the doctor. This plan fails when you deliver early and he has to step up. Everything goes well.

Shane --

He never thought he would be a dad. He didn't think he was good enough to take in Jas, and for the longest time, he didn't think he was good enough to be involved enough to have a kid.

He's come so far since when you first met. He's still got his issues, but he has a healthy grasp on them anymore. He isn't filled with loathing when you tell him, but tears up and holds you close. He feels incredibly lucky to have someone that loves him enough to welcome a child from him.

He is excited to prep for the kid. He was around when Jas was born, so he still remembers a fair bit about the baby years.

Jas can't wait to be a big sister. She likes playing with Vincent, but it would be even better to have a brother or sister. Marnie tears up when you both tell her the news. She's already a great-aunt to Jas, but looks forward to welcoming your baby as well. If you call her Grannie she will melt.

Shane absolutely faints in the delivery room. Man thought he could handle it. He cannot.

He's a very attentive dad. He never, ever wants this part of him to feel like it's not loved or good enough.

Bachelors:

Sam

Sam loves your art! He always looks over your shoulder when he sees you drawing, so you'll definitely have to take it upon yourself to tell him not to do that if it makes you uncomfortable. He's also going to beg you to design an album cover for him and his band.

Elliott

Elliott would also like to use your artistic skills, this time for his newest book. He can't pay you all too much (unless his previous book becomes a bestseller), but he will shout you whatever you want at the saloon whenever you want. He really appreciates your skill, it reminds him of Leah!

Sebastian

I'm pretty sure his job involves making models, so he'd ask you for some references to copy off of. Really likes to admire your work; spends a lot of time just looking through the pages if he can. If you won't let him he'll respect your boundaries, but will still ask every once in a while.

Harvey

He's not really an artist, so he's really amazed at what you can do! He'd ask you to draw his model airplanes for him (if you want to, of course). Despite his lack of drawing/painting skills, he does appreciate good art, and will set aside some money to go to an art show.

Shane

Shane's drawing skills equate to that of a five-year-old's potato head self-portrait. I mean, art is art, so it's not necessarily bad, but he's not getting recognised for it anytime soon. So when he finds out you're and artist, he gets secretly excited and makes note to try and find out what you've made.

Alex

When he was a kid, he'd get the hose and paint a smiley face on the fence with the water, but that's about all he's done. Actually, he did try to impress a girl with his drawing skills once, but she ended up rejecting him, so he stopped. He asks you to teach him how to do some spaghetti sort of art sometime because he looks at you (no matter what art medium you do) and immediately assumes you'd be a master at pasta art. You're welcome, I guess?

Bachelorettes:

Penny

Please tell me you read the same books as her and please tell me you've made art of the characters; she will fall in love. Since she's a teacher (basically), she does have some skills in art related mediums, but nothing beyond what she needs to teach. She likes sketching characters the most, so she sheepishly shows of her work to you and asks for advice.

Leah

Artist duo, baby! Leah loves your art! She's into sculpting and a bit of painting herself, but recognises any art is art and is totally down to do some with you! You have some fun competitions on trying to draw the other worse and worse each time but still have it look like them. That, or you just set up a vase and chill trying to copy it.

Abigail

Abigail's a decent artist. Again, she only really uses pencil or pen on paper, but has dabbled in digital art through the use of an old game console she had as a kid. You two do that competition thing like Leah, except you purposely try to make each other look worse and worse without any semblance of the original subject. Fun times!

Maru

Maru is a great artist, I think. She does a lot of detailed planning for her inventions and puts a lot of effort into the artwork. You know that car show where the guy draws the finished product in coloured pencil before actually making it? Yeah, like that. Except she doesn't use colour. Anyways, she gets what art's all about and can feel with you when you get that art block.

Emily

She can draw clothes, paint abstract art, and make towers out of dry spaghetti sticks. When she finds out you're an artist, she immediately asks to see what you've done. Emily's very much a believer in 'any art is art as long as you put your soul into it', so she'll always say she loves whatever you make. Not the best for constructive criticism, but great for a pick-me-up when you're feeling low.

Haley

Unlike her sister, Haley has no idea what she's doing. I suppose photography is related to other mediums of art, but the most she's done is draw some hearts on some photos and hung them up on the wall. During her mean phase she pretends not to care, but once she comes out of her shell she really takes an interest in it! She tries to copy your art but doesn't do so well.

!!!BACHELORETTE EDITION!!!

Abigail: very involved, wants to help wherever she can even if she doesn’t really know what she’s doing. Loves the animals, knows them by name. Likes to watch the Junimos work, she thinks they're so cute. She doesn't cook super often (or super well) but when she does it's hearty, filling and often spicy. Kisses your cheeks whenever she can. Takes a while for her to fully realise her freedom and start actually doing the things she wants fully. Will often go out when it rains, still hangs out with the gang, but will sometimes come home with cuts and bruises which is always concerning but you understand. She's getting better with a sword (thanks to some very flirtatious lessons you’ve provided), but is still very slowly collecting scars. Tries not to kill anything, but sometimes it's unavoidable. First few times, she came back from the mines shaking and distant. It doesn’t stop her from going though. She gets used to it like you did, but it's always hard on her. Likes it when you go to the mines together but always prefers going alone, just for the feeling of it. Collects many things and starts her own little collection of artifacts. Will occasionally sell things from the mines, just for pocket money though. Doesn’t really have a job otherwise. Always feels a little guilty about you making all the money for the both of you, but is also very content with the life it provides for her. Her ideal night is both of you under a big blanket and a cheesy horror movie.

Leah: Actually helps on the farm and starts fixing things right away. Forages around the farm and cares for the animals. She paints little murals on all the farm buildings, just for fun. The Junimos weirded her out at first but she comes around pretty fast. Likes cooking for you and always makes heavy and filling food. Lots of mushrooms and stews. Hugs from behind, head on your shoulder. Really appreciates how hard you work and tries her best to keep up with you. Keeps working on her art and will go hours not eating or drinking if she gets too absorbed, only taking a break if you make her. She keeps trying to convince you to let her sculpt you nude, but she's too good and you don't want your nudes displayed in your house lmao. Posts her work on socials and gets a pretty big following. She works her way into a few gallery shows in the city and starts a biannual art showing in town. It gets decently popular (mostly with hipsters) and it's where she sells most of her work. Her art makes more money than she thought it would, but your house still has small piles of canvases and statues that she can’t sell. She REFUSES to let you lend her money for supplies/whatever because she insists on her art becoming self-sufficient (which it eventually does). She will accept gifts though. You can still find her at the river sometimes, just looking at the water. She loves when you join her there, head on her shoulder and hand in hers.

Penny: Best housewife. Cooks and cleans and all that jazz. Gets better at cooking, but still tries her “experiments” that have varying degrees of success. Very homely meals, basic but classic. She likes the bees and always wants to watch while you harvest honey. The Junimos freak her out, she doesn’t like to be near them though she tries to be nice. Doesn’t know how to do much in terms of farm work (will tend to flowers if you have them) so she focuses on the house. Keeps the house spotless but homey, decorates every room unless you’ve already done so, fills the house with flowers. Very quiet and soft spoken. Definitely shy about touching but will hold your hand as often as she can. Struggles to find hobbies (outside of books) once she has more free time and discovers a love of puzzles. Will spend the whole day sitting silent at the table working on a puzzle, just listening to birds. Her favourite ones are classical paintings and those puzzles that are just, like, a bunch of baby shoes lined up. Gets guilty sometimes about how much you work and tries her best to do her part. Still teaches the kids and will bring them on the farm sometimes. Invites Marnie and Jodi for dinner on occasion. Her ideal night is just cuddling on the couch with you and a cup of hot cocoa, watching something like a nature documentary, and just talking about the day.

Maru: Big help with automation, likes building all the machines you need and does it much better than you do. Minmaxer at heart lmao. Immediately goes around the farm fixing anything you’ve messed up, not in a condescending way. She genuinely just wants to help. Doesn’t like when you go in the mines, but understands that it’s become part of your job. Cue the love interest bandaging your wounds scene (she is a nurse). Very interested in the junimos in a “if you find a dead one let me dissect it please” kind of way. Does not know how cook, never learnt, but would like to if you offer to teach. She's a little distant, staying in her work shop for days on end with little food and water. After a while you learn that you need to snap her out of it when she gets like that or she’ll crash. She will take a day to relax but only if you force her to. She appreciates it. She tried working in a lab in the city but never got used to how claustrophobic it is there. She's content just staying at the farm house, doing her work in the workshop (kind of freelance stuff? I think? Idk i'm not an engineer lmao sry, but like also her personal projects). She never fully gets used to being around you everyday. She just looks at you sometimes, a little disbelieving. She sometimes feels like she’s not good enough for you, so you have to remind her. Direct words and soft hugs do the trick.

Haley: Very housewife core. She slips right into the role, trying her best to take care of your home while you work. She’s not the best at it, but she's trying. She cooks well enough and bakes often. Sundays you have dinner with Emily. Decor is her favourite, making the cottage feel like a cottage. Very bright and floral. She thinks the junimos are cute in a freaky sort of way. She mostly stays away from them. She loves the animals, especially the rabbits and cows. Has her own little names for them all. Loves watching you work (she thinks it's hot). Has a blog where she posts her photos and occasionally goes to the city for a photography job, but not very often as it is just a hobby to her. Has a messy scrapbook full of photos of you and the farm. She usually refuses to show it to you, but you’ve persuaded her a couple times. She doesn’t really work, very happy to just decorate the farm and pet the bunnies. Also happy to spend your money, but not often and not without telling you. Wants to be touching you as often as she can. Holding hands, linked arms, hands on your waist, anything. If she can tell you're working too hard, she will physically force you to chill out for a bit, even if it's just five minutes. Will tell you that you look like shit and need to sleep very bluntly and is always right about it. She insists you start taking care of yourself and loves having couples spa days. Unwinding with you after a long day is always something she loves.

Emily: bi wife! bi wife! bi wife! She's very accustomed to taking care of a house and does a great job with yours. Fills it with crystals, protection tokens and the smell of incense. The crystals are partially your fault because you keep giving them to her. Lots of healthy meals, spicy food and kale. Tends to any flower gardens you have and talks to the animals. She mends your clothes and hides embroidered flowers all over them, Not even phased by the junimos, she's definitely seen them before. Delighted that you can understand them. She starts handling any cloth production you might have and uses the fabric to sew clothes to sell online. Has an etsy shop that does quite well and makes sure to advertise the products as homemade from start to finish. Is able to sell the pieces at more affordable prices because of how much money you make. The business is still somewhat profitable, but she really just cares about sharing affordable eco-friendly fashion. It's a little niche style wise but still sells pretty fast. She dances around the house. Whatever she's doing, she does it to a rhythm. Meditates outside frequently and has invited you to join her many times. She takes your hands in hers, tracing the lines of your palms and telling you what they mean. The reading always includes how you two were destined to collide, blessed by fate.

🌲 You met Leah while you were foraging in Cindersnap Forest. She said she was trying to find some food by seeing what nature has to offer. And she enthusiastically showed you all the best areas for things such as spring onions and quality leeks. She also gave you a short lesson on what you can and cannot eat, not wanting her new neighbor to get a real bad stomach ache from a mushroom you found and decided to eat. You two made it a habit to forage together. Sometimes, she would put the better foragables in your backpack without you looking.

🌲 Leah likes to cook. The both of you would have picnics by the lake every other Sunday, showcasing whatever you two whipped up. Along with that, you and Leah would paint until the day ends. You would always draw her. And Leah would always keep your drawings in a little book. They may not be the best but she cherishes each one of them.

🌲 You're her personal source of hardwood. She appreciates all the things you give her that would help her in sculpting. You'd show her the weirdly shaped driftwood you would find while fishing and she would ask to keep it for her to use in one of her projects.

🌲 Sometimes (almost always, actually) Leah would accidentally make too much wild mushroom stir fry or fruit salad, and she'll go to your farm to give the extra to you.

🌲 Leah invites you over to her cabin for most of winter. The two of you would drink cider and you would be snuggled in her many quilts, watching her make a collage of dried leaves the two of you collected in fall.

🌲 Leah and Robin often hang out to discuss carpentry. When Robin mentions that she's building a chicken coop for your farm, Leah would pipe in with little ideas to make the coop look better. You especially love the drawing of a chicken that's engraved on the coop door. It was Leah's idea, even engraved it herself. She does that sometimes. Just get a chisel and chip on little designs on your fences and shipping bin. You enjoy finding them.

🌲 She's very adamant that you let her help you with farm work. She doesn't like to stay indoors when she has art block so she insists that she help you with anything you need. The two of you make a pretty good team. You'd hoe the dirt and Leah would plant the seeds. Afterwards, the two of you work together to water each crop, often starting at opposite ends of the field before meeting in the middle.

🌲 Leah helps Marnie take care of her animals sometimes. She is especially fond of rabbits and she was more than thrilled when you bought your first one from Marnie.

🌲 You definitely give Leah some of your harvested crops. You pile them in a little basket and place it in front of her door the first thing in the morning. She found out it was you after Elliott accidentally revealed it to her while they were hanging out in the Saloon. Elliott wouldn't stop apologizing to you for a solid week.

I have absolutely been hyperfixating on this game again now that I'm finally home and have been able to play for a little bit. And by a little bit I mean it's all I've done whenever I can. So, here's my first farmer for the 1.6 update! <3 The meadowlands farm has my heart This is Iris, who recently moved from Zuzu City to Stardew Valley. I play with both Stardew Expanded and Ridgeside, so there will be content and (possibly spoilers) of those storylines as well as the main game. But mostly silly screenshots and maybe the occasional doodle or drabble :)

I have no idea who she might romance. I'm developing her story in my head as we go, and honestly, she's close with Seb, Leah, Shiro, June, Kiarra, and Sam. If I were to guess, I think Shiro or June are the most likely bachelors for her. She's 22 and I headcannon most of the young-ish bachelors and bachelorettes to be between 20-30, and I think Jenna Ortega probably would be one of my bigger models for how I imagine her facial features, with some obvi changes once I eventually put pencil to paper. She was planning to graduate with a double major in psych and lit, but tuition fees and cost of life in a city are monstrous. Working two jobs was not the good idea she thought it would be. While she loved her job at the coffee shop, balancing that with her office job at Joja AND school was a nightmare. Plus, the coworkers were a little creepy and the work environment at Joja was generally toxic, let's be real.

She's the type to walk around town with a fresh cup of coffee in hand or her nose in a book and has probably bumped into many of the villagers this way. She often has panda eyes to rival Seb- she suffers from occasional insomnia and, if that wasn't enough, she's very likely to be so engrossed in a book that she loses track of time and now she has to go feed the chickens and tend to the crops already.

She has slight corvid vibes- not in the emo way per se, but because she loves collecting random little shiny or interesting things and has a growing collection of trinkets at home, and she -will- start leaving random gifts for the people she likes without them necessarily noticing. So if you come home to a random shiny object (especially if there's a small label with a pressed flower attached), you've got her to blame. She can also be an absolute little shit when she feels like it. And she's loyal as fuck. Iris loves music. She grew up playing piano and guitar with her dad. This is part of why she gets along so well with Seb and Sam, and she often hangs out w them when they have band practice. Maybe sometimes even jams with them a bit or sings along (she has a decent voice). She does -NOT- get along with Abby for reasons we'll get into eventually. She loves myths and folklore, so you can imagine she is going crazy trying to discover the secrets of the valley and is constantly hounding Marlon and Rasmodius (the Wizard) for more information. Oh, and she had never held a sword before in her LIFE, so she's had to take up weekly lessons with Marlon since moving to the valley. She kind of loves it though. My girl is terrified of heights, so as you can imagine her first trip on the cable car to Ridgeside was... something. I'll write that one up eventually. First few trips, even.

She loves reading by the ocean so if you can't find her anywhere, try there. Or the library, she might be begging Gunther to order in more books. Pressed flower art is one of her hobbies, and her farming style largely focuses on growing flowers for sale and her own art/gifts, as well as livestock. Although she's started with only the two little chickens that come with the Meadowlands farm, Viola and Piccolo.

lee know... honestly, he and jisung are really good with kids, so i could see minho being the one who runs a school for the kids in town (fulfilling penny's role). probs a little quiet in the beginning as he's trying to get a better read on you as a person, but warms up quickly. at least one of his heart events is him feeding stray cats and being caught by you. he doesn't get flustered or anything but he does talk about how he likes caring for things... and for people, too. maybe a mention that he worries about coming off as mean when he just has a particular sense of humor--and he usually only makes those jokes around certain people who he knows can handle it. omg wait chris says minho's dad makes furniture or something... minho lives on the mountain with his dad, the town carpenter??? imagine romancing minho and his family just Knowing because of how often you make the trip up there for non-farm related stuff lmao. he probably confesses to you during a picnic or a walk in the woods. i love the idea of him also feeding animals after marrying you or cooking for u sometimes... what a softie!! dad of the year #2 btw

changbin kinda fits into taking alex's position in a sense? lives with his family (loves them SO much and you WILL know it), works out a lot, etc. i can honestly kinda see him talking about wanting to do something with it professionally, but in terms of opening up a gym rather than playing sports. man who is nice to begin with but will be down so fucking bad for you by the time you finish romancing him. hes just a loving dude!! i like to imagine he talks vaguely about traveling a little bit but says that he never saw himself going through w it because he doesnt like the idea of leaving his family. maybe... he has a softer side too in terms of art or writing? like the guy talks abt maybe being a writer or a tattoo artist, i could maybe see that coming up in his heart events. consider... poetry boy bc he writes lyrics and idk i think theres at least a little crossover there. he confesses with lyrics he wrote for u. also probably thrives in married life on the farm??? plenty of space to work out and go on walks... thank u.

hyunjin.... leah. he's just having a good time living in the forest and painting/drawing. i feel like he'd be a little standoffish in the very beginning, but warms up to you a lot over time. probably would ask if he can hang out on your farm and draw sometimes. his lil section behind ur house??? absolutely an easel facing toward the farm so its implied he's painting u/ur farm. honestly i kinda like to think he works at the saloon and probably voices his annoyance to you that tourists sometimes hit on him and he's not really a fan. imagine literally having a heart event where he claims ur his partner to get someone to knock it off, and later sends u something nice in the mail as thanks. probably one of the more romantic guys. i think he'd enjoy married life on the farm a bit considering it gives him plenty of space to enjoy nature and draw if he wants to, plus he has you to support him in his artistic endeavors. absolutely insists on doing some things around the farm like feeding animals because it's the least he can do to make ur life easier.

for han... honestly i could see him functioning as elliott-adjacent? the kind of guy who writes, but he's busy writing lyrics. his first heart event 100% includes chris + changbin passing by reader and jisung talking in town and they invite him to come make music w them if he wants. alternatively, i could see jisung as being the shy son of the couple who runs the ranch. i think he'd warm up to reader more and more over time, and it'd absolutely have his family sending him up to reader's farm sometimes on "errands" like delivering feed there and whatnot. wait jisung w the blue chickens. genius. either way, i feel like he also would probably open up to reader about being an introvert and how he's good with people, but that he has his limits and he appreciates having ppl in his life who don't push him to be extroverted. he does feed animals for you (and put water out for ur pet) and probably mends fences for u as well. man who is aware that sprinklers exist.

i.n... lives with seungmin, as mentioned before, and i think he'd work at joja. openly tells you he dislikes it but he's gotta make a living somehow. he mentions that sometimes he'll help minho with teaching the kids if he needs it, but sometimes he'll also tutor any of the kids needing the extra help (minho always recommends him bc he knows jeongin wants the extra money). honestly i feel like he'd probably enjoy married life on the farm where he can explore what he wants to do in life without having to worry too heavily about other things. probably has very sweet heart events where u can really see how mature he is sometimes. one of them involves him tutoring the kids outside one day and u get to impart farmer knowledge on them (which is pulling from one of penny's but shh).

I have this lil HC for Emily that she has a cardigan and she embroiders lil things that remind her of her friends/family, so here's the details for the ones I put in:

(From left to right)

Fairyrose and the snail: For Jas and Vincent because she has a soft spot for the kids and how could she say no when they asked so nicely to be on her cardigan? She loves having everyone included!

The gridball and skateboard by the snail: She added it after Sam and Alex were (jokingly) like "Wow you added the kids before me?? I've known you so much longer-", so now that snail is the coolest snail in town with a skateboard and gridball

Daffodil: For Sandy, of course! She loves going to visit Sandy and the two of them will embroider together sometimes. (The headband she has with the embroidered hearts is from Sandy)

Sunflowers: These were the first things she added to her cardigan, they're for Haley because, despite their constant bickering, she does still absolutely adore her sister

Blue Chicken: For Shane since he's one of her close friends, it was also mentioned once that he tells her stories about the chickens so I like to think she's at least aware of the blue chickens-

I'm pretty sure by the end of the project everyone in town would probably be a part of that cardigan, Emily likes when everyone's included-

Just like talking abt my guys… first ref w Lawrence specifically! He’s so funny to me idc. Was sort of a sidekick/ally to Sierra’s mom, and his whole thing was just being rlly fast LMAO. Speedster if u will… he managed to run himself into the future and at some point during Sierra’s Bplt era ran himself back and just retired as soon as he found Paige, one of the last living ppl in his family besides ppl out of state. He’s living comfortably to say the least!!! Paige also is good friends w Leah and Sierra!

Ellie oohh… lovingly married to Cal and a proud choir teacher fr! Loves her students a ridiculous amnt! Her shtick is being able to control certain parts of ppl, which she’s still working towards LMAO, but she mainly sticks to vocal cords, eardrums and parts of the brain related to speech. She managed to let herself go crazy w her voice without hurting anything and has a craaazy range LMAAOO.

T.V. and Carmen…. Carmen specifically is a menace on her blog, which she purely posts abt the latest hero/villain news, including drama shit and general news happening. T.V. is her little sidekick and manages to get whatever info they need, though she has a very easy time doing it on her own. Cam also runs the yearbook club and does the same damn thing with her own school. T.V. is much more chill and aspires to be a big comic artist, very much taking inspo from ppl like the Blaukers :-)). They also have a secret dream of hosting some sort of television segment or show LOL.

The Blaukers… both retired from being comic artist/writers interchangeably but Chris is more seen from his art and Bobby’s more seen from his writing. They met from both starting comic series abt Carolina’s Bolt, and eventually started to make the series together, making probably the most memorable series of any real-time hero. They sort of got the trend of it going as well, but at some point retired due to realizing that it was a bit immoral to treat heroes that way LMAO. They’ve been lenient on speaking on the issue seeing how more modern heroes act but are still very invested in the comic industry, even if they aren’t directly in it. Definitely caught in what’s going on and know everything happening with everyone

Kyra and Sean yaaayy! Not much to say abt them, but Sean is Sierra’s step brother and the both of them have always had a big influence on both Sierra and Luka. Mostly Luka when he was still with the family!

Chief Frye is just funny i just like thinking abt her sometimes

CAL colleen beloved thing oh my god. Lovingly married to Ellie!!! Local artist as hell, has worked w abt every medium u can think of and has sold her work to plenty of art shows and fairs. Def knows her craft. Also a good ally for heroes and villains alike, tho mostly villains LMAO, because she can get her say abt just anything. She gets her shit together for a good price fr. Also a childhood friend to Ethan, they’re silly!:-) type to get picked the hell up by her large wife and her large friend

Wow, sorry about the lack of posts. Finals week is hitting my life like a grenade. I’m working on a few requests right now, so here are a few short friendship headcanons while people wait :3

Bachelor/ette friendships

I think canonically the game would take place sometime in the 90s, but the idea of the ASS squad using modern day slang just feels right. Can you imagine the kind of group chats those 3 have made? I know personally from having a trio of friends for most of my life that trios are the most dispositioned for chaos. I’m talking CONSTANT pranks, fake (but ultimately harmless) rumors, and a surprising amount of gossip. They don’t mean anything by it, but these secret group chats have definitely caused a fight or two.

Speaking of gossip, I think Sebastian and Haley would be really good friends if given the opportunity. They refuse to interact with eachother, but they’ve both got the perfect amount of bitchyness to wreak havoc. Maybe it’s for the best that they aren’t friends.

Shane doesn’t realize Emily actually likes spending time with him. The only times they really talk is when she’s on the job and he’s drinking, so he sees it as more of a “She’s bored at her job and would talk to literally anyone” thing. He doesn’t fully get that they’re friends until the clothing therapy thing.

ON THE TOPIC OF SHANE AND EMILY. Technically every bachelor is paired with a bachelorette if you don’t romance either of them, and Shane and Emily are one of those couples. Like… Does this just confirm that Shanes type is crazy people who won’t stop talking to him. Is that it

Maru talks to Harvey about family drama and he tries his absolute best to stay professional about it. He gives little pieces of advice here and there, but ultimately it’s just an internal monologue of “I did not need this deep of a look into Maru’s family..”

Despite that… Harvey is a GOSSIP. I don’t know what inspired this inside me, but him and Maru 100% gossip when the clinic is empty. Can you really blame them? Barely anyone comes in for emergencies, and with such a small town there’s bound to be a few rumors going around every week. He would never gossip about medical information, mind you!

Abigail and Leah HAVE to have talked about art together, right? Sure, they’re into different types of art (with Leahs being much more physical) but in my own experience, connecting with other artists irl is such a fun time regardless of medium. I would love to see some sort of collab piece from them.

Sam

Really awkward about it. I mean, if you came to another world and found out everyone was drawing pictures of you, you'd be freaked too, right? He mostly avoids that stuff.

Elliott

Flattered, really. He didn't think he'd be popular enough to garner all that attention. Although sometimes he gets a little freaked by certain interpretations of him (he's self-absorbent guys he wants to like exactly like he imagined).

Sebastian

Also doesn't look at it much. To be frank, he knows the internet well enough to know that if he goes looking, he'll find something he doesn't like.

Harvey

Unlike Sebastian, he doesn't know the internet well enough and does find things he doesn't like. At that point he puts everything down and never opens his laptop for the next five years.

Shane

He, truthfully, likes to poke fun at them. But in a friendly way. He is really flattered that people would even bother to make art of him in the first place, and genuinely laughs at some of the sillier ones.

Alex

He's all over it. Wants to see (nearly) all of it. He's honestly commissioned people to draw him doing different poses because he liked their art of him so much.

Bachelorettes:

Penny

She's less looking at the fanart and more at the fanfiction, but that's for another HC. She's very picky about how she looks at the art of herself, mostly because she doesn't want to find anything unfriendly to kids. I reckon she'd have a whole Pinterest board for art of her.

Leah

She appreciates it in the artistic sense. She loves to see people expressing their creativity, and if it's through drawing her then so be it. Leaves little tips and kudos for people.

Abigail

To be honest, she probably bashes the less-than-appropriate ones. It just makes her uncomfortable being a Human Being in this sense. Has a huge block list.

Maru

She pays zero attention to that stuff. When she found out she was in the world in which she's an NPC in a video game, she expected this. Just moves on with her life and doesn't care.

Emily

She's more focused on the quality of the art. However, she never bashes the ones she doesn't like. Instead, she leaves tips she learnt from Leah and links to fun tutorials.

Haley

She adores it! She thinks it's so lovely that people like her enough to draw her (although she did expect it anyways). She's tried tracing it a few times because she still hasn't mastered the art of saving the image and printing it. Like Alex, she's commissioned a few.
