imagine learning hand to hand from shang??

you make an argument to your father that you should learn self-defense, as you're the princess and kinda constantly being under some sort of threat. he begrudgingly agrees after an extremely close call and assigns the general of his army to train you himself. li shang is obviously against it, insistent that you will have a bodyguard at all times after the recent kidnapping you faced. but you've already convinced your father of the idea and he doesn't back down, telling shang he must do this or face dishonor.

so naturally, he follows the order of your father, the king of this land. the first day of training begins at dawn, and he's thoroughly surprised to find you already waiting for him in the courtyard. you're meditating until he clears his throat, and for the first time you lay eyes on each other.

he's tall. very, very tall. and barrel-chested with a strong jaw, his body toned and muscled all the way. you don't know what it'll take to see his back but lord you'd do anything for a peek at it.

shang definitely notes your beauty, but he doesn't allow it to blindside him. he's here on business, and aims to prepare you for the next time you're faced with a threat and have no protection. he sets down his bag and bows deeply to you.

"good morning, princess."

you smile and bounce to your feet. "good morning, general li shang. i thank you for coming to teach me."

"of course, your highness." shang holds back his sigh. he definitely doesn't feel good about this idea still.

shang guides you through various stretches, ones you should do each morning and night for your overall health, not just to prep yourself to fight. he has to adjust your form in most of the stretches, and your cheeks heat up at his warm, large hands touching you every time.

shang notices your bashful look, the way you smile nervously and lower your lashes when he touches you. his cheeks can't help but heat up themselves at the thought of you finding him attractive, but he swallows it down and keeps it professional throughout the session. you're tired out and sore after the three hours of training are over, but your smile is still bright.

you're genuinely enjoying learning how to protect yourself, and shang is pleasantly surprised at the notion of him enjoying this lesson himself. you're warm and kind, but eager and headstrong too. you wipe sweat from your brow and bow to him, a move that has shang unsettled.

"princess, please-"

you giggle and stand up. "i will see you soon, general li shang."

"i- call me shang, please."

"only if you stop calling me princess when we are alone."

shang bites his lip and avoids eye contact with you. "i will see you at our next lesson... princess."

he's gone from the courtyard after that, and you watch him go with a sigh.

a new week brings a new lesson, which equates to more time with the general. he loosens up over time, laughing with you and even sharing a snack after each lesson. you're stretching in the courtyard, legs spread wide as you stretch your torso out between them as your teacher arrives. shang lays his eyes on you and your vulnerable but perfect form, swallowing thickly and taking a deep, shaky breath to steel himself.

the lesson begins, and you've quickly moved to the point of fighting close-quarters with him after your stretches are done. your speed has increased tenfold over the past month and a half, and shang finds himself having to put in real effort these days. you surprise him with a move he certainly hasn't taught you, swinging his legs around from under him.

"ah!" shang falls forward though, leaving him to fall onto you. but he's experienced, so his initial reaction of being caught off-guard dissuades and he throws his arms out to catch himself before crashing onto you.

you're centimeters from each other's faces now, neither of you having the ability to move away. you lick your lips and slightly push them into a pout, praying to your ancestors that he'll take the bait and finally kiss you. shang takes a deep breath, his eyes flicking to your kiss-ready lips.

he's literally got the princess beneath him, ready and willing to kiss him, all while he's shirtless and you're wearing a cropped undershirt and tights. oh, this is exactly where he doesn't need to be.

but damn it all to hell, it's too good to pass up.

he leans in and crashes his lips to yours, and you lean into his kiss, your lips like honey to him. he cannot believe himself one bit, but when your tongue swipes his lip before you nip at it, he understands himself all over again. you're soft, beautiful, and even when you sweat like crazy he can smell the flowery perfume you wear.

he'd have to be dead to have not fallen for you.

he pulls back just to get a gasp of air, and you look impossibly more attractive beneath him now that your lips are swollen from his kiss.

"general shang?"

"princess?"

"kiss me again."

oh, he's all too happy to take an order like that.

Description: After saving Shang from Shan yu show him your secret to see if he still trusts you

You fought a group of huns with your friend Mulan who had been your friend for years, joining her in the army for honor but to also be who you are even with the risks involved with what the two of you were doing. You happen to turn when you see Shan Yu behind your general and friend Li Shang fighting 3 other huns on his own, not seeing shan behind him ready to take him out but you were going to make sure that wouldn't happen to anyone let alone someone you cared about if you had any say in it. You run jumping and tackling shan yu managing to get good hits even cutting his shoulder, rolling and moving quickly in between the hits with your sword before you got hit and thrown a few feet away from him hitting your back on a rock slowly leaning up seeing Chien Po and ling running to where you were, fearing that you and shang had gotten hurt instead you all see shang and mulan disguised as her alias Ping fighting while the boys ran to you after seeing you across from them leaned on the rock you hit. You groan in pain as chien po lifts you and puts you on his shoulder running to hide from the avalanche with shang and mulan behind you looking at them until you couldn't see them running to find them, getting caught in the avalanche finding mulan's horse Khan not to far getting on him looking for your friends seeing nothing but snow until you looked behind you and see a red cape. You immediately get and grab him looking until you hear a gasp seeing mulan nearby "Mulan! Over here!" she gets on in front of you as you see the edge of the cliff going over until you stopped mid air seeing the rope on khan smiling in relief as you guys are helped until as you and shang step on the ground the rocks below you collapse screaming as you fall grabbing hold of a steep part of the cliff holding on to shang hearing everyone yelling. Soon you see the rope next to you after climbing up on an edge putting shang over your shoulders and grabbing the rope as everyone gets you up and away from the cliff "Step away they need air" you look at each other as you catch your breath "You are two of the craziest men I ever met...and for that I owe you both my life from now on both of you have my trust" you smile as everyone cheers until you heard mulan yell in pain seeing the wound and immediately knowing that the secret you both had kept was gonna be exposed. You grab her and run in the medic tent, carefully treating her wound shaking as you try to sew the wound up until shang grabs your arm doing it as you notice one just above your chest "Do you still trust me?" You take your armor off closing your eyes until you hear a sword and feel something warm under your chin opening your eyes to see his fingers holding your chin with his sword in the corner. He patches you up thanking him as you hold your armor "You're my friend and you saved my life my debt is repaid and I trust you" you smile putting your armor on telling everyone of mulan's condition relieved she recovered going to celebrate victory until the huns came and took the emperor fighting shan yu with shang deciding to give shang an up throwing both your shoes at shan yu "I was the one you threw at the rock". You pull your hair back and with your helmet on as he realizes "Show how much you trust me" you say running as he follows you fighting him giving shang time to get him stuck as the fireworks hit him both of you holding lanterns until you both jumped landing on mulan who was looking for the both of you smiling and hugging each other as you join the boys and end up being rewarded for saving China by the emperor going back home to your family who heard the news being proud of you. You were holding your baby sister when you heard your brother say someone was here for you turning to see shang smiling big hugging and inviting him for dinner and soon after the two of you began dating and joining him on his adventures with your friends and mulan after getting engaged.

Pregnancy

PAIRING: Shang x Female Reader (Romantic) (Fluff)

SUMMARY: (Y/N), Shang’s wife, has recently become pregnant. Shang intends to be the best father that has ever lived.

He’s determined to be the best father and husband, so Shang plans meticulously to help make your pregnancy more bearable. He has your favorite foods stocked up, comfortable pillows and blankets everywhere, helps with any exhausting work, and shoos away anything stressful.

Naturally he gets exhausted from all the over working, but if there’s anything Shang hates it’s failing. When he sees how concerned you are about his health he steps back and plans again, this time alongside you. You both manage the work semi equally, with him helping slightly more as your pregnancy continues on.

Shang also becomes much more territorial. If anyone who isn’t a close friend wants to speak with you, they’ll have worry about the eyes glaring into the back of their skull. He’s a war general, assassination attempts are only to be expected and it’s the one thing he’d never let happen.

Gets no sleep once you’re close to birthing the child, and loses even more when you are giving birth. He doesn’t care if his hand falls off afterwards, if grabbing it with the strength of a titan is helping you then so be it; you’re his wife, to him your needs automatically trump his. Something you have to remind him isn’t very fair to himself.

Syzoth x fem! Reader

Synopis: You’re on a mission with Syzoth, empress Mileena and Lord Liu Kang sent you both to investigate the sudden criminal activities happening on the outskirts of Sun Do.

“Syzoth, what do you think is the cause of these riots?”

You were in a desert like place, it was the nighttime so the sun wasn’t as cruel. Little grains of sand crunched beneath your foot and you winced at the uncomfortable feeling. Few plants were in your line of vision only few cacti, which alerted you without plants your powers were useless. Of course you were skilled in hand to hand combat but it was better to be at full power when battling an unknown enemy.

“I do not know, my lady.” The reptile shifter answered not looking your way. You had a feeling he wasn’t fond of you, often avoiding your gaze or standing in the opposite side of the room. You were confused as to why he was behaving that way, have you upset him any way?

“There is no need to address me so formally, Syzoth.” You mumbled sheepishly, his gaze rested upon your face for a moment.

“You are Lord Liu Kangs paramour therefore your title is as such.” Your eyes widened at that statement.

Liu Kangs paramour? You wanted to laugh at that, he was your mentor nothing more. A quiet chuckle escaped your lips, you gently placed your palm on Syzoth’s shoulder.

“We are not lovers, he is sort of my boss… my mentor.” You explained, the tattooed man stopped dead in his tracks. He quickly turned around, his fist clenched at his sides. He had a rather serious expression, eyebrows furrowed and lips pressed into a thin line.

“You are not?” He asked again, and you shook your head affirmatively. He nodded quickly and resumed walking.

The rest of the walk was silent, the only noise was your feet shuffling on the ground. You did however catch a lot of subtle side looks from the reptile. Instead of walking ahead he walked along, helping you up a rock. Something changed within him after the conversation you two shared, you didn’t mind however that still hasn’t explained his past behavior.

“Syzoth have I done something to upset you?” You finally asked, the tension becoming unbearable, you fiddled with your fingers. He looked at you suprised.

“No not at all. Why do you think that?” He asked, you could feel roots growing along your ankles. Stress negatively affected your powers, they listened to your heart not your mind.

“Oh it’s just that, since we met you have been kind of avoidant of me? And I was wondering if I have upset you in some way? If i have I’m really sorry.” You mumbled, the roots tightening around your legs. Syzoth’s face held a warm expression, he scratched the back of his neck and cleared his throat.

“You have done nothing wrong, it’s my fault actually. I thought that you and Lord Liu Kang were together and since he’s a god i did not want to make you uncomfortable or annoy you with my presence. I know that to many I am a freak and i did not want to scare you and disrespect Lord Liu Kang by being in your presence. A beautiful woman like you should not be forced to be in my presence, an ugly shifter.” He explained, eyes locked with the ground. You could not help the gentle laugh that escaped you, Syzoth raised his head at that.

“Oh, Syzoth” You mumbled and placed your palms on his cold ones. “You are very handsome, inside and out. You must not think so lowly of yourself, and I do not understand why you thought such things. I enjoy your presence.” You smiled and picked a small cacti that was dying on the sandy ground. You raised your hand above the small cacti and green light emerged from your palm, with your power the cacti grew stronger and greener, colorful flowers sprouted from the plant. “Even if you think of yourself lowly there are people like me that see the beauty in you, like this cacti. Someone noticed your potential and you grew into an honorable and kind man.” You handed him the healthy plant. He gently took the plant from your hands smiling slightly.

As you continued your journey you couldn’t help but ponder as to why he thought that he should erase himself from your presence if you were “with” Liu Kang. There was no point in overthinking the matter when you could just ask him.

“If you don’t mind answering I have a question.” Syzoth nodded “Why would me being with someone be so important that you avoid me?” You could see the man tense when the words left your lips.

“I um, I was infatuated with you the moment my eyes fell upon yours, but since I thought you were with someone the best thing for me to do was purge myself of those feelings and it was easiest avoiding you. If I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to contain myself, your beauty, your smile, how kind you are to everyone, how nice and warm you are.” He stopped immediately after muttering those words, you could see a little bit of a green hue on his cheeks. You couldn’t help but sprouting the same red hue on yours. You stared deeply into his eyes, he shyly gazed into yours.

“You liked me?” You asked stepping a bit closer to the man.

“Still do, my technique did nothing.” He admitted slightly embarrassed “I thought day and night about you, nothing really helped.”

"If now you know that I'm single will you act on your feeling?" You asked curiously.

"Would you like me to?" He responded his tone equally curious, you nodded you head slightly. Syzoth stepped even closer, your chests almost touching, he lowered his head so your foreheads were touching. You placed your hand on his cheek, he placed his much larger cold hand over yours, wanting to feel him even closer you pressed your lips against his. Syzoth melted in your hold, quickly becoming putty, his lips searched yours feverishly but before he could deepen the kiss you pulled away.

"After the mission is complete, If you want I can share my warmth with you." The reptile shifter nodded excitedly, intertwining his fingers with yours.

"Does that mean you're mine?" He asked hopefully.

"If you want me to be." Syzoth nodded eagerly.

You finally arrived at the rebel camps, you observed it from above a mountain, you laid on your stomach a knife in your hands, Syzoth turned invisible but was still close to you.

"100 to 150 tents filled with max 14 people over two thousand rebels." You spoke quietly to the earpiece that was connected to the current Umgadi on duty which was Tanya.

"Understood, do no engage in combat as of now, there is backup heading your way. Syzoth sneak into the camp and find out as much as you can about their plans." Tanya spoke through the intercom, you nodded at her orders.

Syzoths invisible hand tapped your shoulder signalising he was heading into the camp, you nodded and kept observing the camp. The leader, someone wearing the army's uniform that was enforced under Shao.

"Their leader is someone from Shao's army." You spoke to the intercom. "I do not know who he is but he's wearing an army uniform."

"That should not be possible, we interrogated and disposed of any survivors of Shao's unit." Tanya's voiced echoed in your ear

"Maybe he escaped and started to follow in the generals footsteps." You entertained that idea but it seemed foolish, Shao along with Reiko were defeated and killed for the crimes against Outworld.

"The reinforcements are in close proximity to your location, attack the camp but do not kill anyone, capture the so called leader and bring him to Sun Do before Empress Mileena."

You moved back from your current position to greet the aiding troops. Li Mei as their leader, you bowed with respect.

"First Constable" You said and hugged the woman, she returned the gesture and smiled warmly.

"Earth mage." She responded "Where is Syzoth?" She asked

"Spying I shall tell him to regroup." You turned from the woman and switched channels to Syzoths earpiece. "Syzoth? Regroup the aid is here and we attack once you return." The reptile shifter suddenly appeared next to you his invisibility fading.

With everyone ready you prepared a silent ambush to take the rebels by surprise. Injuring as little people as possible, Syzoth was behind you his invisibility once more in full effect.

You noticed three entrances that lead to the mountain protected camp, once all the troops entered you dug your heel into the rocky ground and raised your palms, the entrances were closed by walls of rock, alerting the rebels but before they could prepare the Sun Do police were already in the works.

You ran towards where you last saw the leader, a well built man with a helmet covering his head. He was walking towards the largest tent in the camp surely it belonged to him. You sealed of the exits with cacti roots and grabbed the man in a chokehold. He was a skilled fighter but you were even better, defeating him without breaking a sweat Syzoth reappeared at your side, tying up the man.

In this moment you felt a bit of relief flow through you, Syzoth and you were unharmed and you caught the vigilante. But that feeling was trampled when a second person emerged from the shadows, dagger in hand aiming for your back. In second Syzoth shielded you with his own body, when you regained your senses the man was trying to escape to notice that the exits were sealed off.

"Big mistake buddy" You said angrily, running towards him and kicking him in the side of his head, he fell on the ground instantly. Your roots wrapped around his limbs. "Tanya, target secured we're moving out." You notified the Umgadi and quickly moved to Syzoth who was clutching his side, green blood dripping from his fingers. He sat on the ground and you quickly kneeled next to him. "Show me." He reluctantly moved his palm revealing a nasty gash. You sucked in a breath and ripped a part of your sash to tie it around his abdomen. "Take off your shirt." You ordered

"I thought we're doing that after the mission?" He teased and sucked in a sharp breath as you tied the material around the wound.

"Unfortunately you're not a plant so I can't heal you but I'm sure the police have a medic with them. You'll be fine." You mused helping him up. "Li Mei everything taken care of?" You asked through the intercom.

"Affirmative, a few minor injuries but we're fine."

"I'm gonna need aid, Syzoth got stabbed but the target is secured."

Soon enough three of Sun Do's police arrived at the scene taking the target into custody, you helped Syzoth out of the tent and out of the camp.

Empress Mileena congratulated you both on a mission well done, granting you favour in her court. Syzoth was rushed to this room along with a doctor who would heal him, you went to visit him after sharing your report with Tanya and Liu Kang.

"Syzoth?" You asked after knocking on his door. You noticed the injured man laying beneath a heavy duvet only his eyes visible. "Cold?" You teased

The reptile avoided your gaze, shifting between the window and the door where you were standing. You noticed the uncared for plants in the corners of his room, with your magic you restored their healthy and vibrant forms. You sat on the corner of his bed, he refused to look at you, which saddened you.

"Syzoth what's wrong?" You asked placing you palm on his chest, he took a deep breath and tried to sit up to the best of his abilities. You helped him of course, placing a few pillows behind him for comfort.

"I do not want you to see me in this state." He whispered, his voice hoarse and sad.

"Why on earth shouldn't I see you in this state? You took a blow for me, I'm thankful." You scoffed, and awaited further explanation.

"I do not want you to see me weak, it is unbecoming of a potential mate." He quickly explained, the tips of his ears turning green.

You laughed at that, and climbed over Syzoth, he followed your every movement with curious eyes.

"You sacrificed your health for me, you protected me that is exactly what a mate does." You used his definition of a partner to help him understand better. "You're very hard on yourself, you didn't even have to protect me, I could take the blow." Syzoth very quickly sat on the bed with you in his lap, you combed through his short hair.

"I would die for you" He spoke seriously, his gaze stern and searching your approval.

"Don't die for me, live for me." You answered pressing your forehead against his. The reptile shifter basked in your warmth, his arms wrapped around your waist, his face hidden in your neck. You gently petted his hair then his back. You noticed the subtle goosebumps appearing on his skin. You felt his lips on your neck.

"Syzoth" You said breathlessly "You're injured, we shouldn't" You spoke not fully convincing yourself.

"You said you'd share your warmth with me once the mission is over." He argued pressing feather kisses to your jaw.

"I didn't take into account you could get hurt." You whispered against his lips. But before you could say anything more, he connected your lips silencing you. His hands roamed from your waist to your hips, you in turn wrapped your arms around his neck bringing him closer.

His tongue moved against yours, teeth clashing and subtle moans stained the air. You gripped his short hair and pulled his head away from you to catch your breath. In that moment Syzoth stared at you, eyes full of passion and lust. You could feel his groin stiffen under you, and you took in a sharp breath. Post losing his eyesight, he could only ever think about how he lost you. How he wasn't quick enough in getting you out of being involved with the Yakuza. How he was one step behind

You died a brutal death simply because you were his partner, and they couldn't risk leaving you alive to tell the story of them torturing you for information, so they took care of it themselves to send a message. And boy, did it send a message

So now, in dark Shang Tsung's timeline, you are resentful of him and want your revenge. However, it was very conflicting for Kenshi: Did he take this version of you out now because he knows you don't actually feel like this? Or...die by your clone's hands to be reunited with the love of his life?

Mileena breathed heavily as she could feel herself turning, desperately trying to stop herself from mauling you to death. But the way you taunted her made half of her want to turn even quicker, knowing full well this is the dark version of you spewing nonsense to piss her off.

Scorpion

You guessed it. The classic partner and son loss. You fought tirelessly to defend your home and the Shirai Ryu, but it just wasn't enough. Kuai was also just one step too late

Li Mei hasn't properly recovered since. Even to the point where she'll go on solo missions just to avoid anybody else getting hurt. She took extra shifts and extended her personal training time just to keep her mind, but at the end of the day she still crumbled

Now the evil version of you isn't even in the Sun Do. In fact, you actively try to take them down every chance you get just to get to the Li Mei in your timeline--which worked

Li Mei took a fighting stance as soon as you showed up. A piece of her heart broke at the thought of intentionally having to hurt you, but she knew you were long gone now with no shot of saving grace. You dangled your weapon in front of her and showed not one sign of fear.

"You were an esteemed member of the Sun Do, and now you are proudly a disgrace."

"I'll do it again one thousand times over and you can't stop me."

Shang Tsung

Surprisingly, he didn't betray you or kill you himself. You captured the sorcerer's heart, and that was the problem. His followers didn't like how much attention you got, so they formed an organization and took you out when they followed you on a mission

Since then he was on a rampage. He wreaked as much havoc as he could, convinced it was some outside source that held something against him. He only got stronger with anger and deep rooted sadness he couldn't process

Now you blamed him for letting you die when he could've prevented it. Hell, sometimes you felt like it was his idea and his way of getting rid of you as if you were a hindrance to his plans

Shang Tsung couldn't believe his eyes. You, who started walking towards him after you linked arms with his own dark clone. Every emotion he had ever felt bubbled to the surface the second he saw your face. Hurt, anger, sorrow, but mostly confusion. However, knowing the kind of man Shang Tsung was, he wouldn't think twice to rid of your evil clone for good.

"Whoever took you from me will pay, but I will kill you myself before I die by your tainted hands."

The reader is an earthrelmer, and when Mileena meets the reader , she falls in love and through the story. You see them get closer and closer until the reader almost dies and Mileena saves her?

ADDITIONAL : I made the reader Raiden’s twin sister. In the original timeline the reader was a thunder god and in MK 11 Raiden and reader gave Liu Kang all their power to save them so in this timeline she is the new earthrealm’s champion. Also in the original timeline, Mileena had an obsessive crush on you but nothing came of it. This is more so a story because the idea came to me and I couldn’t get it out of my head. Also plot will change from mk 11 becaussse I said so

PART 1

Everything was starting to make sense to you. Your brother and your friends were sent on a mission to capture Shang Tsung in Outworld. What came of it was discovering Mileena had Tarkat in her, Kenshi becoming blind, them being captured and two new arrivals.

The conversation Mileena had with you in the room made complete sense and now you had only wished you figured it out sooner.

You could only imagine how Mileena felt. How scared she was. How alone she was. You wanted to take her in your arms and shield her from it. From everything that was bad.

She didn’t deserve it.

Raiden noticed the worry that was plastered on your face. The two of you were in the study room. He had obviously known the connection you and Mileena shared. He wished you two didn’t have the connection as she was now dangerous but he would not dare tell his sister whom she can and can’t love. “She’ll be alright, (Y/N). Lord Liu Kang will make sure of it.”

Somehow you had doubt in your mind. “Will she though, Raiden? I knew something was up with her. I should’ve questioned more. Pushed harder.”

Raiden comfortingly placed his hand over yours. “You could have not guessed this would happen. Do not blame yourself, sister.” He told her. The thought then dawned on him. “I know you are fond of her, (Y/N). You make it incredibly obvious. However, how would you even have a relationship with her? She could affect you with the Tarkat.”

You clicked your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Raiden was right. How would you two even have a normal relationship even if you wanted to? It would never work.

Liu Kang claimed he was going to Sindel to convince her Shang Tsung was a master of deceit. You had only wished you could leave with him. “I don’t know. Maybe in another lifetime I guess.”

Seeing the saddened look on his face broke him. He hated seeing his sister devastated. It crushed him. So, he sighed. He took his hand away from hers and motioned at her to leave. “Go.”

You raised an eyebrow confused. “Go?”

“Lord Liu Kang is outside. Go with him to Outworld but if you don’t end up with the girl when this is all over, I will be…” He trailed off, trying to find the right words.

You smirked, knowing your brother was not known to use foul language. “Come on. Say it.”

He rolled his eyes playfully. “Pissed. I will be highly pissed.”

You chuckled a little. You got up from your seat and hugged him a little. “Aw. Thank you, brother.”

Raiden hugged you back. “Yeah, yeah. Now, go.”

You stood up from the seat and walked out the room all the way outside. Liu Kang was creating a portal with his fire.

“Lord Liu Kang.” You walked over to him. “Let me come with you.” You noticed the hesitant look on his face. “Look, Sindel doesn’t trust you. Mileena and I had somewhat of a connection. If I could convince her of the truth, maybe it could work. No offense but you nor Raiden and them happened to be their biggest fan.”

Liu Kang thought for the moment. You were right. You and Mileena happened to share a connection. Maybe you could be the one to talk sense to her. It also helped to have backup. “I believe you are right. Come along. We must hurry.”

You and Liu Kang had entered Outworld. There stood Li Mei and Sun Do’s guards. “Great…” You mumbled.”

Li Mei walked over to the two of you. “Return home Lord Liu Kang and (Y/N). I am to let no one pass.”

Liu Kang did not move. “I must see Her Majesty. She must call off her attack on Earthrealm.”

“Her decision was unwise but she no longer seeks my counsel. And I doubt she’s interested in yours.”

You decided to speak. “Empress Sindel has been deceived. Shang Tsung and General Shao have tormented this crisis as a means to steal her throne.”

Li Mei’s eyes go wide at this. “General Shao?! I knew he was hiding his true intentions. But join Shang Tsung?” She sighed. “I knew he couldn’t be trusted! We’re I still Umgadi he never would have breathed the same air as the Empress. My palace sources told me he arrived out of no where and immediately had the Empress’s ear.”

“He gained her trust by treating Princess Mileena’s condition.” He explained. “Tragically, she is afflicted with Tarkat disease.”

“Tarkat?” Li Mei exclaimed. “The Empress must be beside herself. If Shang Tsung found a treatment, no wonder she embraced him.”

“I have shared this with no one. I trust that you of all people will keep this secret.”

“Of course. Were it made public, it would bring down the royal family.”

“Li Mei. Empress Sindel needs our help.” You told her.

“Will you join us?” Liu Kang asked.

Li Mei was in some deep thought before she spoke. “Emperor Jerrod’s death, the pain it caused Empress Sindel has always haunted me. I failed the royal family once. I won’t do so again.”

Going to the palace, you had defeated Reiko and Tanya and currently had Tanya in a hold so she couldn’t fight the three of you.

The Empress and Princesses sat before you. You passed a look to Mileena but she couldn’t even look at you. Something in your heart felt betrayed by the action but hopefully it wouldn’t feel that way for long.

“How dare you Li Mei?!” Sindel questioned. “It’s not enough that you let Jerrod be murdered? You’d let Liu Kang and his champion destroy the rest of my family?”

“My heart broke when your husband died.” Li Mei told her. “I lost not only my Empress…but you, my closest friend. I know you may never forgive me…but don’t be blinded by anger and grief. We are here to help you.”

Tanya started to choke Li Mei with her cuffs. Li Mei pushed her off and you sighed as the others started to fight you. “So much for the easy way.”

Kitana went out to fight. Mileena was about to as well but Sindel stopped her. “No. Your condition.”

Kitana went straight to you. She tried to cut you with her fans but you blocked it. She went punch for punch. She had not landed a hit on you. You had grabbed her arm and brought her close to you. “I do not want to hurt you, princess.”

She scoffed. “Just because you defeated my sister does not mean you can best me, champion.”

Kitana went to kick your stomach and she punched your face. The truth is you very much so could defeat Kitana. You didn’t want to hurt her so you were not using any of your power to fight her. You were letting her win.

Kitana hit you in the face again and again and used her fan to slice your stomach. You hissed at the pain.

Mileena looked at you confused. Why were you not using any of your strength to fight Kitana? Her mother made you out to be the enemy but if that were true, why weren’t you fighting her sister? “You’re not even trying, (Y/N)!” Mileena yelled out.

Kitana used her fans to lift you up in the air and she threw you against the brick wall. You groaned in pain. You didn’t have time to get up before Kitana grabbed you up from the ground. She raised her fan to your throat, ready to slice it open. “Don’t tell me Earthrealm’s champion refuses to fight back.”

You could break out the hold if you truly wanted to but you wanted to show her you meant no harm. You wanted to show Mileena you meant no harm. “I guess so.”

Mileena could not watch her sister preform a fatality on you. She ignores her mothers orders and rushed to your aid.

She kicked Kitana so she was not on you. Mileena then picked you up from the ground. “I didn’t know I was fond of a coward.” She shoved you a little. “You fight me or I let her kill you.”

You honestly didn’t want to fight Mileena. Fighting her at the tournament was one thing. Now it was like you two were fighting for the death. “I will not, Princess.”

Mileena goes to punch you. You blocked it. She tried to sweep your legs but you jumped. She then gets her sai out and tried to stab you but you kicked the sai out of her hand.

Princess Mileena then tried to kick you but you grabbed her leg. You pulled her close to you with her leg so her leg was wrapped around your waist. You were dangerously close to her but you didn’t care. You wanted her to trust you. “Do you not trust me?”

“I did.” Mileena pushed you. Something started to happen to her. She felt the Tarkat take over her. Her teeth grew and eyes glowed. You stood there in disbelief. It was different seeing it in person.

Sindel immediately tried to get Mileena. “Mileena!”

Mileena charged at her mother, pushing her to the ground. They fall together. Mileena tried to take a bite out of her but you pull Mileena off.

“Focus on me!” You tell her. “You’re mad at me. You think I betrayed you but I have not.” You get into your defensive fighting stance. “And I will show you I haven’t.”

Mileena tries to hit you. You block it. This continues sometime until you sweep her feet. She stands back up, charging at you with her other sai.

The sai aims at your throat but you grabbed her hand. You overpowered her. You kick her legs, making her fall to the ground. She stabs you in the side of your stomach with her sai. You yelled out in pain. You twist her arm to make her drop the sai.

Mileena slaps you across the face but you take it. You push her down and pin her to the ground. You honestly could be infected from how close you were. You didn’t care. You just wanted to protect Mileena.

Tanya was released and rushed over to Mileena. She injected her with the serum. Mileena’s Tarkat started to hide.

She blinked her eyes a couple times. When you saw she had came to her senses, you stood up and helped her up. “Are you alright, princess?”

Mileena looked at you like she couldn’t believe you were asking the question. You could’ve been infected but you were worrying about her? “Me? Are you?”

“I am fine.”

Sindel’s face washed with relief as she looked at you. “You saved me? After all I have done?”

You nodded to her. You didn’t think it was a big deal. “I mean yeah. Lord Liu Kang has told you…we are not the enemy, Empress.”

Sindel looked over at Liu Kang, taking your words in. “Because your champion has saved me and not harm my daughters, I will allow you to speak and hear you out. Be very grateful I allow this.”

Liu Kang was internally thanking himself that he had brought you along. “Shang Tsung. Quan Chi. The General…they conspire to conquer our realms.”

“A serious charge. Where is your proof?”

“At Shang Tsung’s laboratory. If what you see there does not convince you, I will surrender Earthrealm without a fight.

Seeing it for yourself was absolutely disgusting. You did not expect it to be that bad but Liu Kang had warned you.

Sindel was in shock of the gruesome sight. “Despite my best efforts, neither man nor Quan Chi are who they were meant to be.” Liu Kang spoke.

The statement caught you off guard as he was Earthrealms protector and it was not his responsibility of Outworld’s people.

“They’re not your responsibility. They’re Outworlders.” Sindel told him.

Liu Kang’s eyes darted to the ground for a moment before looking back up. “But it is I who crafted their destines…along with those of all other beings at the dawn of history.”

“You created the realms?” Kitana questioned. “Is your mind addled demi god?”

“I am a mere demi god now. But events ago I was more powerful than all of the Elder Gods combined. I was a Titan and the Keeper of Time.”

Liu Kang used his powers to conjure up a man you did not recognize. “This is Geras.”

Geras had bowed to the women. “Your Majesty. Your highnesses. (Y/N).”

“Geras is the guardian of the hourglass.” As Liu Kang spoke, Geras started to use his power to conjure up pictures. “A celestial object which lies beyond the realms. The hourglass regulates time and destiny. When I wielded it’s power, it was upon me to craft all of existence. Which I did when I restarted history.”

“Restarted?” Sindel questioned.

Geras spoke. “This timeline was preceded by billions more though this is the first of Liu Kang’s design. The others were designed by his predecessor Kronika. Kronika was obsessed with equalizing good and evil. When a timeline veered too far to one or the other, she would haunt it and restart history. Tinkering with lives and events in the hope of achieving her golden balance.”

“In prior timelines Kronika gave Shang Tsung and Quan Chi mastery of the most vile magics.” Liu Kang said. “Shao was not a general but a tyrannical ruler bent on conquest. You, Sindel we’re his ruthless wife who would do anything to preserve your privilege. In that timeline, (Y/N) was not Earthrealm’s champion. I was. (Y/N) and Raiden were twin thunder gods who were my mentor. When I took the hourglass from Kronika, I vowed to do better.”

Geras stopped showing the pictures through his magic but Liu Kang still continued. “So in this timeline, the sorcerers would not gain their dark powers. Shao would be Sindel’s loyal follower…and if anything would turn out of balance (Y/N) would be the chosen one to save the realms.”

“But someone has interfered with Liu Kang’s design.” Geras said. “Shao, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi…all have been groomed by an unknown entity to be the villains they were in previous timelines.”

You stood there completely shocked. The fact that there was multiple timelines struck you hard. Not only that but you were a god and the roles between you and Liu Kang were reversed? You didn’t know what to think.

Sindel took the words right out your mouth. “Where to begin? Am I to kneel to my creator? Do you expect worship?”

Liu Kang shook his head. “No, your majesty. My prior role was thrust upon me by circumstances. In the previous timeline, my Revenant counterpart took my soul and was on a hell bent mission to be powerful. Raiden and (Y/N) used all their power to make me become the God of Lightning and Fire. I was the only one that was a match to beat Kronika.”

You tilted your head as if what you heard was absurd. “Me? Give up God powers for you? That doesn’t really sound much like me…” Mileena flicked your forehead with her finger and you hissed at the pain. “Ow!”

“You had power over all of creation yet you gave it up.” Sindel said astonished.

“Because I saw how it drove Kronika mad.” He said. “I would fair no better had I kept it.”

The door slammed opened. General Shao, Nitara, Rain, and few others were behind him. “Here we go…” You mumbled.

Sindel went to the front. “You. How dare you conspire against Outworld?”

“Not against Outworld but against your misguided rule.” General Shao stated simply. He held an amulet towards them. “Don’t move.”

Liu Kang had recognized it. “(Y/N). Everyone stay back.”

“What is it?” You asked.

“The Amulet of Shinnok. A weapon of terrifying power.”

“It should not exist.” Geras said perplexed. “It’s maker is powerless as Liu Kang designed.”

“Yet more proof of foreign interference.” Liu Kang said annoyed.

“Enough!” General Shao shouted. “You’ll both bend to Outworld’s new Emperor.”

You rolled your eyes. “Not on your best day.”

General Shao gave you a look full of evil. Something about it was cold to you. You didn’t like the look he was giving you. “I’ve been waiting to do this for so long.”

He showed the amulet to you. Mileena saw this and pushed you out of the way, causing herself to get sucked into the amulet.

“No!” Your thoughts were racing. You had to catch up with them. All that rushed through you was anger. You immediately went to charge at the General but Nitara had stopped you and hissed at you.

You gave her a look. “Am I supposed to be scared of a vampire?”

“Very.”

The two of you break out in fight. She wasn’t even close to your skill level, it was embarrassing. The fight only lasted for fifteen seconds and you had her knocked out on the ground cold.

Liu Kang ran up to you. “Mileena is trapped in the amulet. We can still save her.”

General Shao raised the amulet at the two, causing them to take a step back. It was a stare down until Sindel had kicked General Shao, knocking him to the ground. You picked up the amulet and all of you ran.

When it was safe, you handed Liu Kang the amulet. Liu Kang had held the amulet in the air and Mileena popped out. Sindel immediately ran over to hug Mileena. You just sighed in relief that she was okay.

When Mileena was done hugging her mother, she had saw you and immediately pulled you in for an embrace. “You are an idiot for doing that.” You mumbled in her neck.

She chuckled. “I’d watch who you call an ‘idiot’ to.”

Sneaking into the camp was easy. Especially with your team. You and Mileena decided to split away from the group. It was then Ermac had came down. “Something tells me this guy isn’t our friend.” You stated.

You were in fact right. Ermac had used his power to lift both you and Mileena and throw you across the wall.

Mileena hissed in pain. She got up very quickly though. You however were still down. That worried her. She immediately came to your aid. “What is wrong?”

You had completely forgotten the slash on your stomach that Mileena had given you. You felt at your side and Mileena lifted up your shirt to see it. “By the Gods…how did this happen?”

“When we were fighting earlier…you had stabbed me.”

Mileena covered her mouth completely disgusted by her own actions. “I am so sorry, (Y/N).”

Seeing Mileena so worried about you made you feel bad. (Even though you were the one injured.) You just wanted to cheer her up. “It’s okay, firecracker. Don’t look so upset.”

“How could I not? I did this to you.” She used her hand to gently caress your face. The last thing she wanted to do was to hurt you.

Before you could reply, Ermac was back. “Not this guy again.” You tried to stand up but could not on your own. “Help me up.”

Mileena shook her head. “Stay down. I will protect you.”

“Mileena!”

It was too late, Mileena had already gone to fight Ermac. You felt useless. You wanted to help her so bad but you were in a great amount of pain. Ermac throwing you didn’t help.

Luckily for you, Mileena had won the fight. She came back to your side. “If your good at kombat then I wonder what else you’re good at.” You copied her words from long ago.

Mileena playfully rolled her eyes at you. “I bet you do wonder.” She said before helping you up.

The two of you started to walk away. A voice breaks your stride. “Mileena. Wait.”

You watch as Mileena pauses. She turned around and Ermac was no longer Ermac. He was Jerrod. “Father? It’s truly you?”

Ermac - now Jerrod’s glowing green eyes disappeared. “This body was created from the Living Forest’s souls. Mine was one of them. Your attack broke the spell that binds us. Now I am in control.”

Mileena hugged Jerrod immediately. You smiled at the sight. You were glad that Mileena had gotten her father back despite circumstances. They pulled away and you decided to speak. “Hope you’re not going to try and kill me again. Don’t exactly got the energy.”

Jerrod examined you like he was trying to figure you out. “You are an Earthrealmer?”

“Yes. I know, I know. Hold the applause.” You joked a little.

Mileena shook her head. She took your hand with hers and looked at her father. “Father, this is (Y/N). Earthrealm’s champion. She has beaten Outworld in the mortal Kombat tournament.”

The statement brought his eyes wide. “An Earthrealm champion as a woman? I have seen everything.”

“Hasn’t everybody?”

Mileena let go of your hand. “We must go.”

They met up with everyone. Kitana and Sindel long awaited to be greeted by Jerrod. You guys were actually in the fortress. “Our odds will improve if we can surround them.” Sindel tells you all.

An idea came to your head. You looked over at Mileena. “You trust me?”

There was doubt in Mileena’s mind before but you had already proven to her you were more than worthy of her trust. She nodded. “Yes, (Y/N). With my whole heart.”

“Whole heart? That’s excessive.” Mileena swatted your shoulder at your comment and you snickered a little. “I have a plan but just follow my lead.” You look over to Liu Kang, your mentor and guide. “We got this. Get into position.”

Liu Kang trusted you with everything in his being so he nodded and watched you and Mileena walk out.

“Ow! Okay! Okay! I’m going!” You spoke, getting Shang Tsung’s attention.

Mileena understood what you were doing. She grabbed your arm roughly. (Not too roughly.) She made it seem as though you were captured. “Be quiet, Earthrealmer!”

Shang Tsung looked intrigued by this. “Princess Mileena?”

“I have captured Liu Kang’s champion. She tried to stop the reign of order. I figured you’d want her alive.” Mileena told them. “I bring news from Outworld. Sindel is deposed. General Shao now rules.”

Quan Chi looked impressed. “And yet you are still free.”

Mileena nodded. “To succeed, the General needed help on the inside. I provided it.”

“The heir to the throne gives it up willingly?”

“Ha! It’s a burden I’ve never wanted. The realm is better off left in General…” Mileena caught herself. “Emperor Shao’s hands.”

“A most mature perspective.” Shang Tsung stated. “Outworld benefits from your wisdom.”

You could not believe they were actually falling for it. We’re they actually that dumb? “Yes, Shang Tsung it does…but not in the manner that you expect.”

Everyone started to attack. You quickly disposed of many guards. After everyone was dealt with Liu Kang questioned Shang Tsung of who was his master.

“Speak of the devil…” Shang Tsung stated as the crown started to make noise. “Liu Kang…meet Damashi.”

Liu Kang raised a brow at this, not familiar with the name. “Damashi?”

The crown was suddenly raised in the air and there stood another Shang Tsung with an evil Sindel and a woman that looked just like you with obvious differences. “What in the actual…” You trailed off.

“You are the victim of the deception, sorcerer.” Liu Kang told him.

“What’s happening here?” Sindel questioned. “Who is he?”

“This Shang Tsung is whom I battled for the hourglass. I thought him dead.”

“As I did you, Liu Kang.” The Titan Shang Tsung said. “It turns out our battle released mammoth energies which ripped apart time’s fabric. They had two conclusions. In one, I was the victor…in the other it was you. It was eons before I discovered this. Once I did I knew the path forward.” He then changed into a mysterious woman. “I took this form and infiltrated your timeline. I elevated these wretches giving them great power. Together they sowed discord among the realms and assembled for me the Dragon Army. I led them to believe they were aiding my conquest of Earthrealm and Outworld. But my intent is to exterminate all life in this timeline and merge it into my own.” He then changed back into his usual self.

All you could do is cross your arms. “Wow. Obsess much? I mean really you don’t have anything better to do?”

Titan Shang Tsung did not say a word. He crushed the crown, releasing all the souls contained inside. “Maybe I should stop talking…” You trailed off.

“Goodbye, Liu Kang. Neither you nor your timeline will be missed.” He disappeared leaving evil Sindel and evil you there.

Everyone started to charge at Evil Sindel but she screamed so loud that it blew all of you back.

Evil (Y/N) hand raised high in the air and then pounded the ground with electricity shocking them. You went to punch her but (Y/N) had easily caught it. “Liu Kang has made you weak. You cannot beat me.” She told you before throwing you across the floor.

“(Y/N)!” Mileena rushed to your side.

You groaned in pain. “I’m really sick of people throwing me today.” You noticed Mileena start to change. “Mileena…”

“She will pay!” Her razor teeth were sharp. Her eyes glowed and there was no stopping her. She immediately attacked (Y/N).

Your eyes started to close. You felt the blood coming out of you fast and suddenly everything for you went black.

Which was expected at that time. So men being attracted to men was not treated the same as it was in the West at this time. There is even a story where a Chinese emperor was sleeping with his boyfriend and when he had to go leave for work instead of awakening his boyfriend he cut the sleeve of his clothes so he would not wake his boyfriend if he moved them) because he was very likely attracted to Mulan when she was dressed as a man and he thought she was one and as a woman.

.In this he has not mulan but he has met you and regardless of your physical form he loves you and is smitten with you.

.Just like the song that played when getting ready for the Matchmaker he is a man who would go to war for you to make sure that he can keep you safe

.He adores you for who you are and wants to keep you safe, he is a very protective yandere to the core. That he is willing to risk his life for yours.

.Though at first, he is very strict on rules and such so he does his best to follow them.

.Although over time he will break those rules if he has to, to be with you, that is for sure.

.He wants to also be able to prove himself to you, that he can be a good man and protect you and be worthy of you.

.He would defend your life and save face for you (Saving/save face is how you should say it, not save my honor or save you honor or restore my honor, western stuff is the one obsessed to us. Saving/Save face is how you would say it, fun fact!

.You are just not a partner to him, but the love of his life and he will stand by your side through it all.

.He is though a bit of a stick-in-the-mud kind of guy with certain things, and a bit more strict with those things.

.In other words, he would at first expect you to do as he says and not disgrace his face.

.Of course, again he gets better. Learning you are his partner and respecting you as it.

.With that and the protective side of him he will do whatever it takes to save your life and keep you safe.

.Also, if they are exiled he most likely will pay someone to kill them even after the fact (Another fun fact is a lot of framing court officials and having them killed when they are exiled happened a lot in ancient China a lot so this is very accurate lol).He would confess to you either before he goes off to war, so you could wait for him to return and then Marry him.

.Or After he comes home from war and he picks you up and kisses you.

.If you do accept his feelings he will be with you right away.

.If he can he will marry you.

.If he cannot he still will be with you and he would plan to never marry but adopt kids.

.If you turned down his feelings and or worse been with someone else, he will kill your partner and then take you as a prisoner keeping you locked away where no one can steal you from him again.

.You turned down his love, he will make sure he is the only one you can love.

.He of course is still loving and affectionate, but now you know he will do whatever it takes to keep you as his and his alone!

Of course!

Tadashi

He was walking out with Cass and Hiro after having lunch when he looked over and saw you and your crew walking up to an officer

He walked over to see if he could help in some way despite being a civilian and knowing few medical issues

But he jumped in and helped comforting people and helping others to the ambulance when they could walk unless they were in a lot of pain

He heard you talking nearby and stopped when gas was mentioned looking at you and your captain right before you realized it was a methane leak

You ran in to grab a member of a crew as everyone backed up and ran away watching as the building exploded running out with your friend on your shoulders right before the rest of the building exploded

He felt his heart as Cass started crying and Hiro yelled for you as he saw you running and hugging you with tears in his eyes

After making sure your friend was okay you went home with Tadashi and hugged him tightly when you saw him crying telling him you were okay and that he didn't need to be afraid or cry which broke your heart

Mulan

She had come to have lunch with you since you would be off after the call but she felt something in her heart that something wasn't right

She parks and waist watching you help people until you stopped making her get out and jog to your crew as you tried to find your friend Natalie and crew member

She noticed yelling and saw you run in going after you but being grabbed by your crew leader and friend Andrew and pulled back as half the building exploded

She watched terrified and helpless crying as you ran out with nat on your shoulders as the last part of the building exploded behind you thankfully no one was hurt

She is shielded running when she sees you on the ground but is relieved that you're not hurt but terrified of the fear and terror on your face that she will never get out of her mind

As soon as your friend was in the ambulance she ran up and hugged you with tears streaming down her face as she tells you never to scare her like that ever again

You go home giving her a long sweet kiss spending the rest of the evening apologizing until she stopped you with a kiss telling you that it wasn't your fault but she thought she lost you

Shang

He went to meet up with you and his friends to have dinner at your shared place meeting nearby where you and your crew were taking the last call of your shift

He felt a feeling in his gut deciding to go and watch your call seeing Mulan, Yao, Chien-po, and Ling watching on the other side ready to jump in like he was

He saw you freeze and the look of realization and horror cross your face before you ran in the building running down right when mulan heard your captain say it was a methane leak and soon he and his friends helping the injured and warned people to get away

He felt his whole heart drop and his breath stop watching the building explode hearing yao yell out looking to where his friends were looking to see you and a member of your crew on your shoulders

He watches as people help get your crew member in the ambulance and check on you as you sit down hearing your friends yell and hug you before the next thing you knew you were lifted and all you could see was the grey shirt shang was wearing

He held you for awhile both of you going home and after awhile he hugged you again crying telling you he thought he was going to see you dead or plan a funeral without your body

You hugged him back promising him that you would never leave him and that he did have to worry about losing you sealing the deal with a kiss before you both went to bed

Tiana

She was going to get things to make dinner for the two of you and your parents that night noticing your truck and number across the street as she was walking in

She waved at your friend and crew member Jesse walking in and getting everything she needed going over to see you before she left and waited for you at home

She noticed you run in and people running away and yelling immediately feeling everything stop yelling at you as you go in as jesse grabs her and pulls her away from the building

He tells her that your friend and other crew mate Pam was in the building and hadn't come back out after going to do one last sweep for survivors and you realized

The building exploded making her scream in agony crying on the ground not seeing you run out with pam on your shoulders as the rest of the crew put pam in an ambulance while you saw tiana on the ground

"Baby are you okay?!" she looks up crying more hugging you as you took the groceries to the car and you went home as she said how terrified she was of the thought of losing you

You hold her telling your parents what happened rescheduling dinner as you both calmed down from the explosion just holding each other tightly saying I love you and kissing each other's foreheads as you watched tv

“FRIDAY, what’s the status on the jet?” You asked out loud as you ate your cereal. A minor cold had benched you while the rest of the Avengers went on a mission in the Amazon. You’d been by yourself for nearly a week now and were needing some company.

“The jet should be touching down on the landing pad any minute.” FRIDAY answered you.

“Thank you.” You called back. You finished the rest of your breakfast and by the time you put your bowl in the sink with the rest of your dirty dishes, you heard footsteps in the main entrance. You tried to hide your excitement as you went out to greet the team. You saw all the Avengers standing in the middle of the room looking utterly exhausted except for Peter, who had a huge smile on his face.

“Hey guys. How was the mission?”

“Great rack. Truly immaculate rack.” Peter said and gave you a double thumbs up.

“Oh. What?” You smiled awkwardly and looked at Tony for an explanation. The team looked at each other, no one wanting to be the person that told you what happened. You frowned and folded your arms, looking at each of them until they caved.

“Okay, fine. I’ll tell her.” Tony sighed. “Long story short, Peter got drugged.”

“What?” You gasped and looked at Peter again.

“I have a stinky in my brown hole.” He told you.

“He’s got a what in his what?” You asked the team.

“He has to shit. It’s all he’s been talking about for the 4 hour plane ride back here.” Sam groaned and went to take a seat on the couch.

“Oh my god. Ew. Brown hole?” You looked at Peter in disgust.

“Yessir.” Peter smiled and gave you another double thumbs up.

“Why is it brown? And wait, hold on, why is he on drugs?” You asked again.

“He got hit with a tranquilizer. In the neck.” Steve told you.

“See?” Peter smiled proudly and turned his head to the side. On his neck, you could see a massive red bump that looked like it was about to explode.

“JESUS FUCKING-“ You screamed but everyone on the team quickly motioned for you to stop.

“I mean, it doesn’t look that bad.” You quickly lied.

“Thank you. That’s what I said.” Peter laughed and touched his neck bump. It jiggled under his finger and you turned to the side to gag a little.

“My neck grew a boob.” Peter laughed and poked it again. You covered your mouth with your hand and looked to Tony for answers.

“How did he get drugged exactly?” You asked.

“Well long story short-“

“No. Enough with the long story short. I need to know how this happened. Give me the long story long.”

“I’ll give you the long.” Peter said and looked directly at you. You gave him a strange look as he attempted to wink at you. He ended up using both eyes and just gave you a slow blink.

“Oh my God.” You grimaced and looked away from him.

“Yeah, about that. When he wasn’t talking about having to poop, he spent the last four hours telling me he wanted to put you in 70 positions for 7 minutes.” Shang Chi told you.

“What? Do you mean 7 positions for 70 minutes?” You laughed and eyed Peter curiously.

“No. 70 positions in 7 minutes.” Peter clarified.

“But that’s like…10 positions every minute. That’s not even possible.” You said to Peter.

“Everything is possible when you’re a sweet boy like me.” Peter smiled and did a little spin.

“I’m sorry, what?” You asked the team as you pointed to Peter.

“Friendly reminder that I still have to poop. Just hoping we can circle back to that soon.” Peter announced and moved his hand in a circular motion.

“Go poop. I need to talk to Mr. Stark.” You told him.

“Okay baby.” Peter smiled sweetly at you.

“Don’t call me baby.”

“Okay honey.”

“Don’t call me that either.”

“Okay princess butter buns.”

“Oh my God. That one was just…I don’t even know how to describe that one. Just stop talking and go poop.” You sighed and covered your face with your hands.

“Okay!” Peter clapped his hands before running to the bathroom.

“So what happened?” You asked the team once Peter was gone.

“Long story short-“ Tony began.

“Don’t.” You pointed at him.

“Right. Sorry. Basically, the mission was going super well and we were almost done but then Peter decided he needed to fart while we were in this metal kind of room and it smelled horrible so naturally we both start coughing and gagging, meanwhile the sound of the fart is still echoing off the walls of the metal room. They guards caught him and I about to pass out from his truly lethal fart so we started to run away but they shot him in the neck with a tranquilizer dart. Now he’s cracked out and probably leaving skid marks in one of my toilets.” Tony told you. You were stunned to silence as you mentally pictured everything Tony had just described. You looked behind you at the bathroom that Peter was in before looking back at the team.

“I kinda wish I just left it at the short version.” You admitted.

“As do I.” Tony sighed.

“So wait, what was he talking about on the jet? Other than having to shit, at least. He wants to do what with me?”

“Well it’s no secret that the boy wonder has romantical feelings for you. I think whatever was in the tranquilizer dart loosened him up and now he’s saying everything on his mind. No filter.” Tony explained.

“So basically…” You trailed off as you put it together.

“He wants to fuck.” Tony said, unamused. “I had to listen to him tell me he wanted to fuck you for four hours. In row. My only break from that being when he told me he was about to shit his pants.”

“This is my fault. I saw him drinking regular milk this morning and didn’t stop him. He said he’s be fine.” You chewed your bottom lip and looked at the bathroom that Peter was in.

“Clearly he wasn’t. Because whatever came out of his ass back there on that mission smelled like the inside of a mongoose.” Tony sighed and rubbed his eyes.

“That was a really specific animal to say.” You frowned.

“Mongoose are opportunistic feeders. They eat everything from plants to small birds. Therefore, I imagine their insides smell really bad.” Tony shrugged as he explained his choices.

“How do you know so much about mongooses?” You asked him. “I don’t even know what they look like.”

“That’s so true. What the fuck is a mongoose?” Sam asked the team.

“They’re in the weasel family.” Bruce explained.

“So is Bucky.” Sam snorted.

“Can anybody tell me what a mongoose actually is?” You groaned.

“It’s a goose that’s mon.” Shang chi shrugged.

“But what’s mon?” Natasha asked.

“It’s the abbreviation of Monday.” Bucky said and everyone nodded in agreement.

“So mongeese are just regular geese but on Mondays?” You asked and everyone stopped to think about this.

“Wait, is it mongooses or mongeese?” Natasha wondered.

“I thinks it’s mongooses’s.” Sam answered.

“No. That doesn’t sound right.” Steve shook his head. Everyone started to talk over each other as they debated the correct plural use of the word “mongoose” while others debated what kind of animal a mongoose even was.

“Oh my God. Does it fucking matter?” Tony asked loudly, making everyone go silent.

“Jesus Christ. That was the single most infuriating conversation I’ve ever been apart of. It can be mongooses or mongeese. But it doesn’t matter. Because none of you are ever gonna need to use the plural of mongoose in a sentence. So everybody just shut up!” Tony continued. Everyone looked down in shame and Tony let out a little groan.

“You guys drive me to drink.” He said and rubbed his face again.

“I’m done!” Peter called from the bathroom suddenly.

“Congratulations! Do you want someone to come in there and wipe your ass?” Sam shouted back to humor Peter.

“That would be nice!”

“Okay. Bucky will be right there.” Sam shouted again and pushed Bucky towards the bathroom.

“I’m gonna kill your parents.” Bucky wiped around and pointed a small knife at Sam’s throat.

“Damn.” Sam backed up. “Why does every reaction from you have to be so hostile? You did the same thing when I stepped on the back of your shoe the other day.”

“You gave me a flat tire. I had to stop walking and fix my shoe. I hate doing that!” Bucky said through gritted teeth.

“Y’all, who fed Bucky after midnight?” Sam asked in annoyance. “You know he gets crabby when his blood sugar is too high.”

“I swear if I spend one more second with you people, I’m gonna do a swan dive off the top of this tower.” Tony interrupted their conversation.

“You should do a flip.” Sam said seriously, making Tony stare at him for a long time.

“Or a backflip.” Bucky added after a beat of silence.

“Is anyone coming to help me?” Peter called from the bathroom before Tony could retaliate.

“Jesus Christ. I’m gonna go check on him.” You groaned and went over to the bathroom. You knocked on the door a few times and Peter opened it up, still wearing his suit.

“Hey pretty lady.” He said slyly and leaned against the doorframe.

“Hey. How’s it going in there?”

“Pretty good. Do you ever look at the shit you just took and think that that’s the biggest size dick you could take? Like, up your butt?” Peter asked you in a genuine manner. You shut your eyes and slowly sat down on the ground in complete silence. Peter watched you curiously as you buried your face in your hands.

“What’s wrong?” Peter wondered. You stayed silent and kept your head down in your hands, refusing to look at him.

“Was it something I said?” Peter asked again.

“Yes. It was. Never say anything that you just said again.”

“Okay.” Peter shrugged and sat down next to you. He looked at you for a minute before taking your face in his hands and pressing your foreheads together. He scrunched his nose while letting out a strained groan as if he was trying to push something out of his body.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to read your mind to see if you like me back.” Peter said and strained himself again.

“I really hope you washed your hands.” You grimaced but let him hold your face for another minute.

“I did. Wanna smell?” Peter didn’t wait for an answer and held his fingers up to your nose.

“Okay. Sea Island Cotten. At least they’re clean.”

“They don’t have to be.” Peter said and slowly winked at you.

“Don’t do that. Why did you wink like that? Don’t ever do that again.”

“Okay.” He said with an ever slower wink.

“Wait, did you put your suit back on after going to the bathroom? Why would you do that?” You asked when he noticed what he was wearing.

“Oh. I don’t know.” Peter shrugged and looked down at his suit. He stood up and pressed the button in the center of his suit, allowing it to slip off and look around his ankles. He stepped out of it and folded it, leaving him in just his boxers. You stared at him with a dropped jaw for a moment, always taken aback when you were reminded what kind of body Peter had under his clothes. Peter noticed you staring at him and looked down at his body.

"What’s wrong? Are you stunned to silence over my sexy body?” Peter asked with genuine concern.

“Honestly, yeah. That’s exactly what’s happening here.” You admitted.

“One time you twisted in your chair to crack your back and your shirt rode up a little and I said your bare right hip and the upper part of your side and I think about that all the time.” Peter told you.

“Oh?”

“Another time you were bent over and I didn’t see you and you stood up when I was right behind you and your butt touched my penial area and I had to go lay down.”

“Penial area?” You whispered to yourself.

“Sometimes I think that I’m in love with you.” Peter continued. Your eyes flew open and you couldn’t help the smile that broke out on your face. You quickly wiped the smile off and stood up.

“Okay. Let’s get you to bed, yeah?” You asked and started to bring Peter towards his bedroom.

“Can you lay with me?” Peter whined and buried his head in your neck.

“Yeah. Just for a little while. You need someone to take care of you.” You smiled shyly at his action.

“I do. I also need someone to hold my hand and kiss me and sleep in my bed and hold me and play with my hair-“

“Okay-“ You tried to interrupt.

“-and tell me when my breath smells and send me good mornings texts and tell me they love me and-“

“Okay. I get it. You want a girlfriend.” You finally cut him off.

“I do! You’re so smart. You should be my girlfriend.” Peter insisted as you went into his bedroom together. He took you by both of your hands and led you towards his bed.

“Do you know what you’re saying right now?” You asked through a nervous laugh. You wanted to believe he was beige serious, but you knew it was probably just the drugs talking.

“Of course I do. I’m saying that I have feelings for you and I want you to be my girlfriend.” Peter said as if it were the most simple thing in the world.

“Oh.” You gulped and felt your heart skip a beat. Peter went over to his pajama drawer and pulled on some flurry pink Hello Kitty okays but stayed shirtless.

“I’m also saying that I’m comfortable pining after you and continuing our friendship but if you ever wanted more then I want that too.” Peter told you as he stepped into his pants.

“I feel the same way.” You admitted before you realized what you were saying. You just got so excited that he had perfectly described your feelings that you didn’t think about the consequences.

“You do?” Peter asked hopefully.

“Yeah. I do.”

“Can you tell me that again when I’m not coked out on tranquilizer?” Peter asked as he climbed into his bed. You bent down beside his bed and brushed his hair off his forehead.

“I don’t know. Maybe. If I’m feeling brave.” You said as you continued you play with his hair in the way you knew he liked.

“I hope you feel brave.” Peter sighed happily and rested his head down on his pillow. You stroked his hair until his eyes slowly fluttered shut and his breathing slowed. Once you thought he was asleep, you stood up and went to leave. Peter sat up suddenly and caught your wrist.

“Please kiss me.” He said in the softest tone you’d ever heard from him. You smiled at the request but shook your head.

“I can’t. You’re high.”

“And you’re hello. Now kiss me.” He smiled and tugged you closer.

“That’s not what I meant.” You chuckled and knelt down beside him again.

“What did you mean?”

“I mean you don’t actually want me to kiss you. You’re just high and confused.” You reminded him.

“Yeah. But I’m high and confused and in need of a kiss from a pretty girl.” He pointed and cupped your chin between his fingers.

“You think I’m pretty?” You asked as a smile tugged at your lips.

“You don’t?” Peter scoffed, making your smile grow. When he saw that he was winning you over, he got the courage to go on. He sat up a little more in his bed and tilted your face towards his.

“I think I could stare at you for 7 minutes and find 70 things I love about your face.” He said softly as he stared at your lips.

“That’s like 10 things every minute.” You replied, eyes on his lips as well.

“Just 10? Then nah, I could find way more.” He insisted.

“Were you just surprised that 70 divided by 7 is 10?” You laughed softly.

“No but every time I remember 8 times 7 is 59 I get a stabbing pain in my side.” Peter replied seriously.

“8 times 7 is 56. Not 59.”

“Gross. That’s way worse.” Peter scrunched his nose. You laughed at him before looking at him skeptically.

“Do you actually like me or are you just on drugs?”

“I can be both on drugs and like you at the same time. The two can coexist.” Peter said simply.

“So how come you never told me before now?”

“Being in love with your best friend is not the easiest thing in the world to talk about.” Peter said a little sadly.

“Yeah. I know the feeling.” You smiled softly. Peter studied your face for a moment before pressing his forehead against yours again.

“You’re my best friend. You’re the number one person I want to talk to about having a crush. But you are my crush. So I kept it inside. Until some guys shot my neck with a tranquilizer dart and all my inside thoughts splooshed out.”

“Well I’m happy they splooshed out. I’m glad I know now.”

“You are?”

“I am. Because I like you too.”

“You do? Even with my fat neck?”

“Even with your fat neck.” You chuckled.

“So kiss me.” He whined.

“I can’t.” You whined back. “Not until you’re sober.”

“Why?” He groaned and flopped back down on his pillow.

“Because want to be sober enough to remember our first kiss, don’t you?”

“Yeah. You’re right. As always.” He sighed and pulled his covers up to his chin. You smiled softly before leaving down to kiss his forehead.

“Maybe tomorrow.” You whispered against his skin.

“Really? Tomorrow you think?” He asked in excitement.

“I said maybe.” You said pointedly. “Only if I’m feeling brave.”

“Okay. Then I hope you feel brave tomorrow.” Peter smiled in satisfaction and snuggled into his covers. You went to leave again but Peter took your hand.

“Stay with me?” He asked in a way that made it impossible to say no. You playfully rolled your eyes but got into the bed. Peter smiled in satisfaction and wrapped your arms around himself so that you were spooning him. You gave into his desire and held him tightly as you made sure to avoid the swollen lump on his neck.

You soon fell asleep and ending up sleeping through the night. When you woke up the next morning, you and Peter were still tangled together. You sat up and stretched, accidentally waking Peter up as well. He rubbed his eyes and sat up, his hair sticking up in every direction. You laughed a little at the sight of his bed head before noticing the swelling on his neck had gone down and all he had was a bruise.

“Hey, your neck is skinny again.” You said and gently touched his neck.

“Thank God.” He sighed.

“How do you feel?”

“Like I was inside a mongoose.” Peter groaned and rubbed his face.

“How does every body know what a fucking mongoose is- you know what? Never mind. I don’t care anymore. And I know the feeling. I feel that way every time I listen to Somebody Else by the 1975.”

“So true. Fuck that, get money.”

“Fuck that, get money.” You nodded in agreement. Peter remembered the conversation you had before he fell asleep and looked at you, wondering if you remembered it too.

“What about you? How do you feel?” Peter asked coyly. You looked into his eyes and knew exactly what he was thinking about.

“Brave.”

“Brave? What the hell does that mean?” Peter asked you. Peter watched your face fall and immediately felt bad for the joke.

“I’m totally kidding. I remember. Kiss me.” He laughed and slipped a hand behind your head to pull you into a kiss. You leaned in and kissed Peter back, reaching up to tangle your fingers in his messy bed hair. Peter pulled you into his lap so that he could deepen the kiss. You made out on his bed for a minute until you were interrupted by Tony opening the door.

“Hey guys, did you want -stop screaming it’s just me- did you want pancakes?”

Tony asked. “Because I made way too many again. The entire kitchen is covered in stacks. Literally every surface in the kitchen has a comically large stack of pancakes on it.”

“Ugh. Why do you keep doing that?” You asked him for the millionth time.

“Because it makes me feel like fancy little rich bitch to use an entire cartoon of eggs on a single making of pancakes, okay? Happy now?” Tony snapped back.

“Yes. We’ll be down in a minute.” You mumbled in embarrassment.

“Cool. Try not to swallow each other.” Tony snorted before closing the door. You and Peter sat in awkward silence for a minute before looking at each other. You broke the tension by holding out your hand for him to take. Peter smile and slipped his fingers between yours before kissing the back of your hand.

“What do you say? Do you want to go get some pancakes?” You asked him.

“Does a mongoose have an immunity to snake venom?” Peter asked like it was obvious.

“I have no fucking idea.”

Peter laughed and leaned in to kiss you one last time before getting off the bed.

“Yes, they do. Now come on. Let’s go get some pancakes.”
