[Caption: "Both. Both. Both. Both is good." reaction gif from The Road to El Dorado.]
SPN
the first character i ever fell in love with: way back when, when I watched some episodes of season 3 with a friend, it was Ruby in 3x01-3x02. I was intrigued by her and then she was revealed to be a demon and I went 😍😍😍
a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: tbh with this character isn't as easy as stopping loving/being interested in them lmao (especially since my head is in multiple seasons simultaneously, between rewatching to make gifsets, or writing fic set in older seasons, etc. So, I really hate late seasons Dean, but I think of other times and am just as interested as I was initially. I can’t stand Sam after he got Jack trapped in the box, but I write about s4 Sam and adore him. Etc. etc.). I'm gonna say Crowley, who just was never as good as he was in season 5 IMO.
a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: not really given my mixed feelings, but I will always say Destiel got worse with Carver's, then Dabb's era lmao. It peaked in s6 afaic tbh. Sastiel also gets worse in the last batch of episodes, sns (first putting Jack in the box, then the attitude towards Castiel in early season 15... smh).
my ultimate favorite character™: Castiel, tragically xD. Bela and Ruby are also on Stanning Levels, especially the more I write about them.
prettiest character: there were sooooooo many pretty women in this show... but you all know Rowena is at the top for me LOL. Before her it was Meg 2.0, who has one of the prettiest faces I've ever seen.
my most hated character: Dean, although again, It's Complicated xD
my OTP: Megstiel.
my NOTP: John/Mary. Fuck cupids.
favorite episode: The Man Who Would Be King is the first that comes to mind. 4x16 or 5x10 are strong contenders too.
saddest death: *lists every beloved female character evah*. Bela and Meg's are very very sad, while Ruby's mostly annoyed me because of the wasted potential, for example.
favorite season: I am obligated to say season 3 because it had Bela AND Ruby (plus the plot with Dean's slow death is really, really good). The misogyny jumped out even more than usual in it though ¬¬
least favorite season: season 14. I had to implement a reward system to myself to get me to finish it lmao.
character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but i hate: Dean is the one I get as far as hate (also love. Again, complicated). Although I must say there are a lot of fandom darlings I'm either indifferent to or even loathe. For indifferent, see Charlie or Benny. For loathing, see Victor Henriksen, who was misogynist AND tried to pressure Dean and Sam's lawyer to break privilege ¬¬. The fact that this fandom calls him cinnamon roll is proof that some people just want ~progressive fandom points without actually paying attention to the writing rme.
my ‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’ fave: Dean xD. And I mean, I guess Castiel is a war criminal and Ruby had kinda inconvenient goals from humanity's point of view xDD
my ‘beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than this’ fave: Jack :))) and Kevin. Also Claire. All the Wayward girls lol. Alicia and Max. And so on lol.
my ‘this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but i still love it’ ship: Samruby I guess, but I feel no guilt. Dean/Alastair is also yikes, but I find it compelling sooo.
my ‘they’re kind of cute, and i lowkey ship them, but i’m not too invested’ ship: idk if I'm capable of this, whenever I think about a ship I'm lowkey interested in for too long I get invested LOL. Lately I've thought often about Castiel/Mary because of how hilarious I found the concept from a crackfic point of view (imagine Sam & Dean's reactions LOL)... but now I'm like hmm. Could be nice though. I partially blame @angelfishofthelord ¬¬
WYNONNA EARP
the first character i ever fell in love with: it’s been a long time but it was likely Wynonna. I think it was on the pilot, when she was completely disarmed when Dolls talked about demons like it was nothing after all she’d gone through (up to institutionalization) whenever she talked about it. I Felt That.
a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: n/a. My likes were constant lol.
a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: n/a.
my ultimate favorite character™: Rosita is My Everything.
prettiest character: Rosita is pretty but MY GOD did the styling department did its best to hide that lmao. Waverly was gorgeous too. And Wynonna was hot.
my most hated character: I didn’t hate him, but tbh I never cared for Doc. I could tell he was getting more and more space and that was part of why I dropped the show: I just wasn’t interested in that.
my OTP: Rosita/Waverly.
my NOTP: n/a, really, but I also never cared for Doc/Wynonna.
favorite episode: the one with Rosewaves’ kiss or the alternate timeline one :DDD
saddest death: Willa’s :(((
favorite season: season 2.
least favorite season: I didn’t watch it but I’m gonna say s3 on principle xD
character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but i hate: again: not hate, but I really don’t get the hype about Doc. He is, also, Just A Guy xD
my ‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’ fave: frankly I wouldn’t call any of my faves trash here, even jokingly. They’re good or have very limited choices!
my ‘beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than this’ fave: frankly, Willa deserved better. Waverly is obviously the cinnamon roll lol, but Willa’s storyline is so tragic and frankly, poorly handled.
my ‘this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but i still love it’ ship: none, really, but I’m gonna drop a mention to Rosita/Wynonna, since they did a couple fucked up things to each other xD. Glad they ended in a good place with that hilarious s4 cameo, though :P
my ‘they’re kind of cute, and i lowkey ship them, but i’m not too invested’ ship: n/a.

Do you have a list of your favorite season 1-3 episodes? I want to get into the first few seasons but I need something to latch onto
oh hell yeah!!! I love seasons 1-3 and as much as I love Cas I never skip over them when I rewatch. There are some real gems of episodes, awesome characters, cool monsters, and Essential Character Building and Family Drama that lets you get into the meat of the dumbass Winchesters
alright these are my picks with reasoning:
Season 1:
1x01: Pilot - you gotta watch it. Fanfuckingtastic episode all around. ESSENTIAL
1x03: Dead in the Water - honestly i love this ep bc it shows Dean with kids and lets him talk about his trauma. sue me. not essential-essential
1x05: Bloody Mary - Awesome ep, cool monster. Sam backstory.
1x06: Skin - fucking awesome episode!!! cool monster, good music
1x10: Scarecrow - Awsome!! fun lines, brother drama, cool monster, character entry
1x11: Faith - I know this is three in a row but these are amazing. Faith is your start into Really Hating John Winchester and is just... heartbreaking and good
1x17: Hell House - not essential essential, it’s the ep that introduces the Ghost Facers and I love them and the monster concept
1x18: Something Wicked - Another Hate John Winchester his sons’ sakes heartbreaking good ep. Yes I know and yes i love it
1x20-1x22 - These eps are just kind of essential for the Winchester Family Drama and also the Overarching plot. They’re pretty solid episodes too, and I do love the big bad
Season 2:
2x01: In My Time Of Dying - you will need to watch this ep after the finale of the first season and you will not regret it. it will rip your heart out a little but what doesn’t in this show
2x02: Everybody Loves A Clown - Introduces you to Ellen and Jo and Ash!!!! Essential character growth/progression/tension! creepy ass monster. Dean looking hot in a carnie get-up
2x03: Bloodlust - introduces you to Gordon Walker. God i hate the guy but he is a really cool character
2x05: Simon Said - Introduces you to a fun-ass character and some essential Big Plot stuff. it’s funny and a little shocking
2x08: Crossroad Blues - introduces the Art of the Deal. talks about Robert Johnson which I’m a slut for.
2x10: Hunted - A great round of brother drama along with Big Plot. This ep just has a great rhythm and is really engaging no matter what you look for
2x12: Nightshifter - awesome episode, great musical cues, I believe it introduces you to the love of my life Victor Henrikson. Amazing minor character which Dean adores which I adore. pump it in my veins classic spn
2x15: Tall Tales - Introduces you to another fun-ass character and has a ton of Suffering Bobby fathering his Bitchy Boys which is hilarious
2x17: Heart - a famous ep for a reason. a great MOTW story and some heartbreak thrown in
2x18: Hollywood Babylon - a funny MOTW on a horror movie set. an even funnier ep if you know before hand that everything the Network Executive says in this ep is something the Network told SPN writers about SPN. not essential essential
2x19: Folsom Prison Blues - Another just fantastic episode. It’s got Dean inexplicably looking great in an orange jumpsuit and it’s just good.
2x20: What is and What Should Never Be - GOD I HAVE WATCHED THIS EP SO MANY TIMES. it breaks my fucking heart but it’s soooo good
2x21-2x22: Essential end of the season episodes you need for the plot, they also bang really hard.
Season 3:
3x01: The Magnificent Seven - it’s got cool demons, it’s got you finding stuff out and brother drama because of that, it’s good
3x03: Bad Day at Black Rock - Introduces you to Bela! who i think is pretty sick. also a funny ep
3x07: Fresh Blood - the follow up to Gordon Walker. A good ep, lots of tension, it’s classic spn to me
3x08: A Supernatural Christmas - the epitome of classic spn. a funny MOTW ep wrapped up in Christmas wrapped up in sadness
3x10: Dream A Little Dream of Me - you need to watch this episode for Dean’s character development. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it but due to mental illness gee it might be my most watched. GOOD EP
3x11: Mystery Spot - a CLASSIC spn episode you say? a funny MOTW ep wrapped up in Groundhog Day wrapped up in sadness
3x12: Jus in Bello - I LOVE THIS EPISODE. walking legend victor henrikson (having a little bi moment with dean), ruby, awesome stakes, shock and awe and fun and sadness
3x13: Ghostfacers - remember how I said I love Ghostfacers?? shows how much the winchesters would cuss if they weren’t on the CW/WB. essential viewing for the line :
Tumblr media
3x15: Time is on My Side - gives you essential character info about Bela which i AM STILL MAD ABOUT bc Sam and Dean never find out and really amps up the suspense in a way I love
3x16: In My Time of Dying - this is a good episode. this episode will punch you in the gut. yes i’m sorry yes you must go through it welcome
(^^ in case you didn’t know, season 3 only has 16 episodes because there was a writers’ strike around this time and they couldn’t finish the season without writers!! which led to them finishing the season early and then bringing Cas in because they didn’t know what else to do! talk about divine intervention, hell yes to unions)

Where Young Justice: Outsiders went wrong
(And before you tell me to just stop watching if I don’t like it - I’ve been supporting the show since 2011 by creating a significant amount of content and giving back monetarily. I have every right to critique the writing, thank you).
Honestly, I think they pulled their act together in the finale, and this season left me much more satisfied than I anticipated. That being said, there are some issues I want to address.
Major flaws:
Overabundance of characters
Undeveloped Relationships
Lack of Continuity
Problematic Representation (getting better)
Weak Dialogue
Lower Quality Animation
The Message
Overabundance of characters
I think we can all agree on this one. There were far too many characters in season 2, but season 3 is laughable. It’s hardly a story anymore. Instead it’s an episodic series featuring new heroes each episode to appease niche comic fans.
Tumblr media
There’s a formula for a superhero show (and any group-oriented tale in general), and that’s having a central team of five or less. Then you can introduce one or two new characters max per episode as side characters or villains. But you always circle back to your main team. YJ did a nice job of this in season one. So did most CW superhero shows before they made the same mistake of expanding their cast to make their writing task easier. (Yes, easier - new characters means you can stop developing old ones, especially with time jumps).  YJ started to narrow down the team by the end of the season, but it still left many mains as side characters / aesthetics.
It’s great seeing these characters brought to life - I won’t deny it. But you can’t delve deep if you have this many. You can’t focus on character development or meaningful relationship development (hence why nearly every ship was established off screen). Furthermore, you frustrate fans when you focus on one group more than another. With a smaller cast you can always count on appealing to your audience because their "fave” is always present in some way. In many ways, fans feel like they’re being dragged along simply waiting for their character to pop up because of a one time cameo. It’s not fair to the audience.
The relationships
I think the only romantic relationships we’ve seen develop on screen are:
Violet/Brion
Spitfire
SuperMartian
Robin/Zatanna
sort of Roy/Jade
- and all but one were introduced in season 1.
The others were simply introduced as a couple with little to no previous interaction. Like:
Tim/Cassie
Dick/Babs
Jaime/Traci
Bart/Ed
Kaldur/Wyynde
Gardita
M’gann/La’gaan
Mal/Karen
That is not how you write romance. You don’t stick it in there for the sake of it. You have to show us why they work, how they got there, and why we should care.  I’m not saying there HAS to be romance, but if there is, it still has to be written well.
Tumblr media
Continuity
This begins to overlap into the next issue, which is continuity.  I understand that Outsiders is not necessarily a new chapter to Young Justice, but if you are going to call it Young Justice Season 3, then I expect story lines to bleed over beyond just villainous deeds.
Let’s look at Dick Grayson, for instance.  He’s one of the only mains who has had a very consistent, though shallow, character arc throughout the series.  First he wants to lead, then fears it because of the sacrifices he would have to make - because he didn’t want to be Batman.  In season 2 though, he becomes his worst nightmare.  He risks the lives of his friends, lies to his team, and ends up losing his best friend anyway.  And in season 3, we actually get a little bit of continuity here with Dick mourning Wally and being afraid to take on another team after season 2.  It could have been expanded upon, but it was still present, and I applaud the writers for that.  Especially for driving home his leadership qualities at the end there.
Now, what about the other characters, specifically those introduced in season 2?  This season is called “Outsiders,” and yet, it seems to only focus on the original team and Violet’s new group.
What about Bart’s entire arc of coming back, stopping the apocalypse, and then losing Wally, his mentor?  What about Jaime’s home life and the lasting effects of being turned into a villain who nearly killed all his friends?  What about TIM and his role as the new leader??  Where did that plotline go?? Why is the unfamiliar Beast Boy now the leader of this Outsiders group?  How did Ed overcome his anger issues and repair his relationship with his dad?  How did Jade go from being a supportive wife and mother into the opposite?
Tumblr media
The writers tried to avoid all these problems by giving us a time jump.  But that’s just lazy writing if you don’t take the time to answer how things have changed!
Also, I’ve said this before, but continuity isn’t simply having characters mourn a dead character.  You can’t keep using that plot device to give heart to the narrative.  If that’s your only source of true pathos...and that character is dead...then you’ve got a problem.
The representation
Okay, I’ll admit they saved their asses with Kaldur. I love my wholesome pansexual rep. Would I have preferred to see his relationship occur with a character we’d already been introduced to outside the comics? Yes. But I’ll take it.
Disappointed with Ed/Bart and Bluepulse. They could have shown us more, but they didn’t. They could have given us a story, but they didn’t.  And don’t hit me with “this is a children’s show - we’re lucky to get what we get” BS.  Because it’s not anymore.  This show is literally written by adults for adults.
I really don’t want to talk about the whole Halo/Harper kiss because it was just so wrong in so many ways, but it needs to be addressed. So, first of all, if you excuse cheating in any capacity, shame on you. I don’t care what the characters are going through or how old they are. You don’t both recognize that you have significant others and then proceed to make out!! Second, what the hell?? You’re going to have the first lgbt content be a bisexual stereotype of two girls cheating on their boyfriends (and two characters who have only interacted in one episode before??) Not to mention, underage drinking and gun use? That sends the wrong message to the audience, even if the teens were reprimanded.
Also, Halo is supposedly non-binary, and yet they explained it away by technology, so idk, I’m hesitant to count it as legitimate rep. I still think it was a good discussion to have. But yeah...
Finally, Halo is not Muslim rep after all.  She’s a hijab wearing character, but she does not identify with her faith or her culture. She outright rejects it in her scene with Harper. So...what? Is she diversity points that you can continue to violently kill off over and over?  Not a fantastic way to treat POC. I don’t think the creators meant any harm by it, but it’s something they need to consider going forward.
(I do appreciate the number of POC characters that have been introduced however. Especially the Latinx and black characters. This show has improved its diversity. But without proper characterization, they’re sort of just...there).
Dialogue
I can’t be the only one who cringed through entire episodes this season?  Some episodes had stellar writing. But the bad ones were very, very bad.   Obviously, not every joke is going to stick the landing, but if you’re going to kill off your beloved comic relief character, you have to have a better backup plan.
Like, do you guys remember how witty some of the lines from the pilot were?  The whole “Speedy” vs. “Kid Flash” debate in the opening sequence?  You can tell how much effort went into those scenes.  How much love was given to those characters. Because they knew that was their only chance to hook the audience, to get a green light for a full season.  So they put everything into character development and plot - and now they’ve lost so much of what made the show precious in the first place.  (It’s still precious, but it’s tainted in many ways for me now).
Animation
It’s gone downhill. That’s really all I can say without being mean.  Some episodes seem slightly better than others, but if you compare the animation from 3x01 to an episode like Failsafe...there’s just no comparison.  I could hardly watch Wally’s scene without frowning at the frame rate.
Message
I don’t understand what the show is telling us anymore (or I didn’t, before Black Lightning gave a very “on the nose” speech about what it is that we were supposed to take away from this season).
I mean this has always been an issue with the show, but at least it was a little clearer in season 1.  Then, we had several themes:
Found family (+ Actions speak louder than heritage)
Don’t call us sidekicks (AKA the kids can make a difference)
Secrets are poison (They can tear a team apart. Trust in friends)
Season 2 was a little convoluted...and sort of just recycled material.
Secrets are poison (dammit, Dick)
You are in charge of your own destiny (Jaime/Connor)
Sacrifice (Kaldur, Artemis, Wally, Bart...they all gave something up for the greater good).
But what is the message of season 3?
Secrets are still poison (Tara, Violet, Batman v. Wonder Woman team)
I suppose it’s about healing and letting others in?  Like how  Brion and Victor have both worked through their anger?  Artemis and Jefferson and Dick and Gar sorting through their grief...somehow...off-screen...(except for the episode devoted to Artemis saying goodbye to Wally.)
Perhaps...accepting yourself?  (Victor, Violet, Brion, Connor?)
Do you see my issue here?  How much harder it is to see what I’m supposed to take away from the show now?  I’m not saying there aren’t any good messages being told, but they’re difficult to interpret.  Sometimes that can be good.  But this time I’m on the fence.
Conclusion
I love many of the characters from this show, but the fandom acts as if the writing is impeccable, and that’s just not true.  Not everything is bad.  Some of it is still miles beyond other animated television (looking at you vld).  And I genuinely enjoyed about half of the episodes this season. But I think it’s important to recognize the flaws in media, as a writer myself, and as a consumer of these shows.
Plz be civil in the comments, and understand that this is only my opinion.

Episodes 3x01-3x07 ranked from favorite to least favorite
It was difficult, no doubt about it, but I think I managed to rank all of the season 3 episodes so far from favorite to least favorite. So here we go!
1. Cookie Monster (3x06)
Tumblr media
All of the plots in this episode were spot on and enjoyable for me. We meet Bowie’s mom, Cookie, for the first time and she’s such a sweetheart. Making them loveys and name cookies? I STAN COOKIE. Also the best line in the entire episode: “I never go anywhere without a roast chicken.”
We also see the wonderful Buffy and Jonah friendship again. (It’s the content we deserve) I thought including this plot line would make the episode feel too busy at first, but it was a fun addition.
Saving the best for last...TYRUS. So many great moments in this episode that I literally had to pause the TV a few times just to freaking breathe. TJ asking Cyrus to hang out with his big goofy grin and Cyrus having those signature “heart eyes” the whole time...phew. They really do bring out the best in each other and this episode really displayed that. I loved the gun story line and thought it was handled quite nicely.
2. The New Girls (3x07)
Tumblr media
This episode was ALMOST first but it went down a few points with the Bex and Bowie fixing stuff plot which I didn’t really care for...so let’s move on.
I love, love, love Libby! I am so glad this show decide to give some representation to the deaf community. I have a few family members that are deaf so this plot is very close to my heart. I really want to see more of Andi and Libby’s friendship later on.
I absolutely loved all of the Tyrus emotional moments in this episode. It really highlights how much they need each other and how they wouldn’t have grown/changed without each other’s impact. TJ telling Cyrus that he is “The only person I can talk to like this” was such a powerful and meaningful line. We really got a peak inside both Cyrus and TJ’s minds here.
Also Ham was amazing, like always.
3. Howling At The Moon Festival (3x02)
Tumblr media
This was such an entertaining episode. It was interesting to see some of Andi’s family traditions. The family-centered episodes of Andi Mack never fail to make me smile and I low-key wish we had some more of them. Poor Jonah, he was trying so hard to fix things! Extra points in this episode for the Cyrus/Jonah scene.
Andi and Jonah’s “breakup” that wasn’t really a “breakup” finally feels like a healthy Jandi relationship move. I really didn’t expect it to be done this way but I was impressed. For once I didn’t have to cringe from Jandi’s painfully obvious communication problems.
I loved the ending with the lanterns, but we STILL need to know what the wish was that fell. I wonder if the casual audience even remembers this plot by now.
4. Hole in the Wall (3x04)
Tumblr media
So I’m kind of lazy and don’t have much to say about this episode. But this episode gets points for the TJ and Cyrus muffin reference, TJ patting Cyrus on the shoulder, TJ and Cyrus walking in sync to the bleachers, TJ and Cyrus sitting as close as possible, and TJ and Cyr-well you get my point.
I was iffy about the Jandi in the episode because they had such a nice ending in 3x02, ya know? But I was a fool to think it would end that easy. Jonah’s original song was a mess and I understand why Andi is reacting the way that she is, but then we get Jonah’s second song and it’s a freaking masterpiece that should win an award.
5. The Syncing Feeling (3x05)
Tumblr media
Tbh, I felt like this episode was a bit weaker than the others. However, I looooved the Amber and Andi development. We are witnessing the start of a beautiful friendship. Amber had so much fun with Andi that she went home afterwards and actually GOOGLED beautiful places in the world to canoe at with Andi (according to Andi’s Texts, RIP). More Ambi scenes please!
This episode also gets points for the Cyrus and Jonah being stuck in a canoe together. Ever since Cyrus confessed to Buffy that his crush on Jonah was gone, we haven’t really been getting some quality Jyrus friendship scenes. So this was a great addition.
AND bonus points for Buffy trying to explain to Walker who Amber was because that was hilarious.
6. The Boys Are Back (3x01)
Tumblr media
We got our boy HAM back, Cyrus returns from England and gets a new wardrobe, Bex and Bowie become engaged! And those are pretty much the highlights of the episode. It wasn’t bad, but it did feel a little boring and short to me. The episodes after 3x01 just outshine the season 3 premiere in my opinion.
7. It’s A Dilemna (3x03)
Tumblr media
Andi in this episode was ugh. 🙄 I get that she’s a teenage girl going through a lot of emotions in her life right now, but it was still a bit much to me. I also did not like the plot with Bowie and his new guitar student. At this point, Shaun’s dad, Victor, is probably my least favorite character on the show. I probably would have rather watched Gus tie his shoes over this plot but let’s move on. This episode gets a million points though for showing us Cyrus in his dance class. Amazing, what a mood.

My Top 50 OUAT Episodes
And now, as a final goodbye to OUAT, I give you this list of my personal picks for the 50 best episodes in the series, listed in order of airing. Two-hour broadcasts are counted as one here.
1. Pilot - 1x01. One of the best TV pilots of recent years due to how quickly it grabs you and emotionally invests you in its magical atmosphere and the plight of its central characters.
2. The Thing You Love Most - 1x02. Best watched immediately after the pilot, as it deals with the same story but from the dark and twisted perspective of its villain, the Evil Queen.
3. Snow Falls - 1x03. Snow and Charming are, well, charming in their first adventure together and the start of their romance, as is sweet Mary Margaret in the present day.
4. That Still Small Voice - 1x05. Jiminy Cricket of all characters gets a surprisingly dark and emotional backstory that resonates with him in the extremely intense present-day scenario.
5. The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - 1x07. Jamie Dornan gives an incredible performance as the tormented Sheriff Graham / Huntsman, all the way to the episode’s tragic conclusion.
6. Desperate Souls - 1x08. We get our first true insight into the backstory of the enigmatic Rumpelstiltskin, and Emma becomes sheriff, making this a truly pivotal episode for the show.
7. Skin Deep - 1x12. A truly subversive, twisted take on the Beauty and the Beast story, with some unexpected layers added to Rumple’s character and Robert Carlyle’s performance.
8. Red-Handed - 1x15. Little Red Riding Hood IS the Big Bad Wolf. That is awesome.
9. Hat Trick - 1x17. One of the most terrifying, surreal episodes in the entire series, with the great Sebastian Stan knocking it out of the park as the deranged Mad Hatter, Jefferson.
10. The Return - 1x19. We learn why the curse was cast in a devastatingly emotional story that adds more to the characters of Rumple and August as the season enters its final stretch.
11. The Stranger - 1x20. August’s true identity is one of the best reveals in the whole series.
12. An Apple Red As Blood - 1x21. Part 1 of the season finale, as Regina in both the past and present gears up to finish off her nemesis, with the episode ending on a huge shocker.
13. A Land Without Magic - 1x22. Part 2 of the season finale, the best finale the show ever had, and quite possibly my all-time favorite episode. Almost everything about this episode is perfect and gives you the feeling of a story coming to its end as the threads come together.
14. Broken - 2x01. A solid season opener that sets the show on an exciting new course.
15. Lady of the Lake - 2x03. Things really pick up as Team Princess is formed, Cora is established as the new Big Bad, and we get some beautiful moments between Snow and Emma that make it all the more shameful that the show utterly ruins this dynamic later on.
16. The Doctor - 2x05. Dr. Whale is Victor Frankenstein. Did NOT see that coming!
17. Tallahassee - 2x06. The first adventure that “Captain Swan” (Emma and Hook) partake in together, while at the same time we finally learn about Emma’s sad past with her ex-lover.
18. Queen of Hearts - 2x09. A thrilling conclusion to the first arc of Season 2, where we finally learn Cora’s motivations and get an epic fight between the heroes and the villains.
19. Manhattan - 2x14. This episode is a real turning point, with Emma’s ex-lover being revealed as Rumple’s long-lost son, along with several new insights into Rumple’s past.
20. The Queen Is Dead - 2x15. One of the show’s most emotional episodes, in no small part thanks to Bailee Madison’s truly amazing performance as young Snow in the flashback.
21. The Miller's Daughter - 2x16. We learn about Cora’s fascinating backstory and the true nature of her relationship with Rumple. But then she dies, and the season totally falls apart.
22. Second Star To The Right - 2x21. Finally it feels like shit is getting done, and the concept of a terrifying re-imagining of Peter Pan in the flashback is immediately captivating.
23. And Straight On 'Til Morning - 2x22. The mess Season 2 became gets cleaned up in this gripping finale, with a brilliant new story set-up laid out to be followed in Season 3.
24. The Heart Of The Truest Believer - 3x01. OUAT is truly back at the top of its game here, juggling four different plot threads perfectly and introducing its greatest villain, Peter Pan.
25. Lost Girl - 3x02. The flashback here is meh, but the present day stuff is nigh-perfect.
26. Quite a Common Fairy - 3x03. For the first time, Regina’s potential redemption feels good and genuine, and Rose McIver’s re-imagining of Tinker Bell is a delight from the start.
27. Good Form - 3x05. Hook’s backstory is amazing, and Captain Swan truly begins here.
28. Ariel - 3x06. JoAnna Garcia Swisher makes a truly perfect live-action rendition of Ariel, and the interactions between all the characters in Neverland take a truly engaging turn.
29. Dark Hollow - 3x07. Belle and Ariel, on a mission from Rumpelstiltskin, team up to fight John and Michael Darling who serve the villainous Peter Pan. Only on this show, people!
30. Think Lovely Thoughts - 3x08. The “Nevengers” truly show how far they’ve come working as a group here, and we get one of the show’s most shocking and twisted reveals.
31. Going Home - 3x11. The perfect series finale that isn’t a series finale, with the action increasingly slowing down so that you can fully appreciate the emotions. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if the show had ended right here, I’d have been completely satisfied.
32. Witch Hunt - 3x13. Just plain fun and funny, with great dialogue and great character interactions that really get you re-adjusted to these characters and to life in Storybrooke.
33. The Jolly Roger - 3x17. Quite possibly the quintessential Hook episode, showing just what kind of a person he was and how he desperately wants to be a better man now.
34. Snow Drifts / There's No Place Like Home - 3x21 / 22. After the incredible letdown that was the climax of the Wicked arc, we get this two-part finale that really embodies the magic OUAT had and never quite will again, with Emma’s character arc coming to a fitting end.
35. The Apprentice - 4x04. “The Dark One lies. The Dark One tricks”. This episode does a perfect job at re-establishing Rumple as a true villain and a schemer to be reckoned with.
36. The Snow Queen - 4x07. Quite possibly the most heartbreaking villain backstory the show has ever had, plus riveting scenes between Elizabeth Mitchell and Jennifer Morrison.
37. Smash the Mirror - 4x08. It’s overlong and the Regina and Robin subplot is complete bullshit, but everything else in both the past and present is golden. The 4A arc peaked here.
38. Shattered Sight - 4x10. The boffo comedy in this episode is cringe-inducing, but all of the serious, emotional stuff centered around the Snow Queen and her family gets me every time.
39. Poor Unfortunate Soul - 4x15. Ursula’s backstory is kind of iffy, but the effect it has on Hook and his development here is really good, as are the villains and August’s return.
40. Sympathy for the De Vil - 4x18. “Evil isn’t born, it’s made”...except in this case, where it is 100% born and takes us on a twisted tale that could pass for a good Twilight Zone episode.
41. The Broken Kingdom - 5x04. The twist of the glorious kingdom of Camelot being a kingdom literally built on sand, and its monarch a disturbed megalomaniac, is a great one. Plus, Snow and Charming actually get do something heroic after a long period of inactivity!
42. Nimue - 5x07. The actors portraying Merlin and Nimue really sell the doomed epic romance between the two, as we get the most far-back flashback in the show’s entire run.
43. Labor of Love - 5x13. This episode can be summed up as “The Nevengers are back.” That alone counters the disappointment of how blandly Hercules and Megara are portrayed.
44. The Brothers Jones - 5x15. A touching tale of brotherhood, good intentions gone wrong, self-loathing and forgiveness, plus giving Hook closure with his big brother. I just love it.
45. Firebird - 5x20. The flashback is utter tripe, but the escalation in the present-day story, the performances, and Captain Swan’s True Love test makes this episode well worth it.
46. Last Rites - 5x21. Aside from that moment with Robin, this episode is awesome, especially the Underworld scenes with the duo I never knew I wanted: Hook and Arthur.
47. The Other Shoe - 6x03. This episode embodies what the show SHOULD have become: a more light-hearted series with adventures-of-the-day starring Emma, Hook and Henry.
48. A Wondrous Place - 6x15. Hook sails on Captain Nemo’s sub, the Nautilus, alongside Aladdin and Jasmine, meeting up with Ariel and facing down Jafar. Only on this show, people!
49. The Song in Your Heart - 6x20. Because really, who doesn’t love a Musical Episode? This one centering around Emma and her marriage to Hook makes it all the more special.
50. The Final Battle - 6x21 / 22. It’s got a LOT of problems, but the ending it reaches is truly one that fits the show, and we would have been better off if ABC hadn’t renewed it afterward.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
The Price of Gold - 1x04. Rumpelstiltskin’s first showcase episode, and he’s terrifying in it.
Dreamy - 1x14. Screw the haters, I really liked this episode! It was hilarious and sweet.
The Crocodile - 2x04. Our introduction to Killian Jones / Captain Hook. It’s a good one, and I’d have liked it better had Rumple’s role in both the past and present not been so disturbing.
Save Henry - 3x09. A tad anti-climactic and the Regina focus was misaimed, but still good.
New York City Serenade - 3x12. A damn fine start to a new beginning for the show.
Rocky Road - 4x03. Elsa and the Snow Queen are both fantastic characters, both shown well here. It’s held back by the introduction of Will Scarlet, who ended up being a waste.
Darkness on the Edge of Town - 4x12. This episode gives us the visual of villains on a road trip stopping at a drive-thru. You just gotta love that! Also, the Chernabog was awesome.
Operation Mongoose - 4x21 / 22. Despite Isaac’s (and by extension, A&E’s) terrible writing, the weird situations and performances from the actors makes this an entertaining finale.
Siege Perilous - 5x03. A good old-fashioned Camelot adventure is just what I wanted.
The Bear King - 5x09. Again, screw the haters. The show needed more episodes like this, a standalone where the plot takes a pause and the side characters are allowed to develop.
Broken Heart - 5x10. The present-day plot is absolute crap, but the flashback in Camelot is really well executed, and Colin O’Donoghue is clearly having a blast playing Dark Hook.
Souls of the Departed - 5x12. Not ideal for the 100th episode, but a good start to the Underworld arc, with a lot of familiar faces returning and a great new villain introduced.
Devil's Due - 5x14. Despite her fate in this episode, it’s great to see the writers presenting Milah more sympathetically than she was before, and Hades continues to be a delight.
Our Decay - 5x16. The first episode where Zelena feels truly human instead of the cartoonish psychopath she was before, with her and Hades’ romance being legit touching.
Sisters - 5x19. While I don’t much care for the subplot with Prince James, the main plot featuring the reconciliation between Cora, Regina and Zelena is great and beautifully acted.
Strange Case - 6x04. Oh, Mr. Hyde, you left us way too soon. The episode is sadly weighed down by Rumple’s textbook abuse toward Belle, which we now know is never truly punished.
Dark Waters - 6x06. A good bonding episode between Hook and Henry, plus a great new character from the Land of Untold Stories who is actually faithful to his source material!
Heartless - 6x07. For once, Lana Parilla actually gives us an old-school Evil Queen performance, where she’s scary and truly malevolent rather than campy and over-the-top.
Mother's Little Helper - 6x16. I really like the Dark Realm, and wish that more was done with it. The reunion between long-time rivals Hook and Blackbeard is also a lot of fun.
The Black Fairy - 6x19. The retcon that Rumple was born a Savior is ridiculous, but the titular Black Fairy’s backstory actually makes her an interesting character for the first time.
A Pirate's Life - 7x02. It was nice to see Emma again, and even better to see that the Hook in this arc is actually Wish!Hook rather than the original, who is still living happily with Emma.
The Girl in the Tower - 7x14. Robin and Alice are beyond precious as a couple in both the past and the present, finally washing away the bad taste left behind by “Ruby Slippers”.
The Guardian - 7x18. It may have been late in coming, but Rumple / Weaver actually becomes interesting here as we get to explore his relationship with his newfound friends.
Homecoming - 7x21. It’s good to see several old characters again, and even better to see all the loose threads from that abominable Season 6 Wish Realm two-parter finally addressed.
Leaving Storybrooke - 7x22. Except for Rumple’s end, most of what happens following Snow and Charming’s appearance is utter shit. But.....at least the show is finally over!

777 WIP CHALLENGE
The rules are as follows: Go to page 7 of your WIP, go to the seventh line, share seven sentences, and tag 7 more writer-bloggers to continue the challenge.
Tagged by @miazeklos (thank you friend!!)
ok so i cheated and counted dialogue as part of each sentence and also like...okay this isn’t 7 sentences at all but Bear With Me. For context it’s a sebvictor fic set around 3x01 and jonathan is staying in the Aldertree Manor (not dead, things happened a bit differently).
Victor extricated himself carefully from Jonathan’s arms and stroked his thumb appreciatively over Jonathan’s chin. “Thank you pet, I’m famished. What did you make?”
“Tuna casserole,” Jonathan beamed. He let go, albeit with some reluctance, and padded soundlessly towards the kitchen, fingers lightly twined with Victor’s. He was wearing a soft sweater that somehow managed to cling to the long lines of his body, and jeans that didn’t quite conceal the curve of his arse.
Jonathan was not naturally a sexually provocative being, but he’d been learning. How to flutter his translucent eyelashes, how to pout with those full lips, how to make his fighter’s grace sensuous and slithering. For him, sex was not a game, it was deadly serious: he craved intimacy as a starving man might pine after a meal. Every little touch, every caress, even a loving look or word, every morsel of affection was snapped up--he needed Victor, and he needed to be needed, and Victor was more than willing to supply both needs as long as Jonathan held up his side of the bargain.
anyway if i actually finish this it’ll be the first fic in the tag so yeeeeeeeeet i tag: @c0ffeebee @alex-mahone @grayacejace @boasorteminhamenina @dnteverdoubtme @kimmyhunter and @sunjimon / @rainbow-karolina

Supernatural s3
It’s so unfair that the season that has Ruby AND Bela is so short :(((. I was done with it waaaay too quickly, and now I’m speed running through s4 xD (which, like the first time around, is Strong Mixed Feelings territory).
-My girl Ruby!!!! I was so happy to have her back, I kept grinning like a loon every time she was on screen. It’s quite interesting watching the 1.0 and 2.0 versions so close to each other, instead of as they air. I have... Thoughts, on whether Ruby as a double agent was something planned or that they decided as they went, but that’s for the s4 post. s3!Ruby really doesn’t come across as one (“I don’t believe in the devil” oh I wish sometimes xD, I love my nonbelievers), imo, but the beauty of such a device is that you can rationalize anything she does as devious if you want to xD
And it goes without saying that I love her interactions with Sam. THIS SHIP ISTG. I love how immediately ~attuned to her he is lol, his present and instinctive concern for her even if he tries to mask his interest as “practical”. And all the repeated times Sam’s conflicted between her and Dean -like when he deviates Dean shot (wasting one of the Colt’s bullets lmfao) or during the argument about the virgin sacrifice xD. And the “that’s my boy”/ “little fallen angel on your shoulder” quotes!!! Ruby 1.0 deserved to be railed by Sam too, smh.
My favourite episode of hers is “Jus in Bello” (which would be my fave of the season just by virtue of having both Bela and Ruby in the same episode lol. Not interacting, of course, the world as we know it wouldn’t have survived). I just love that she gets that final moment of I TOLD YOU SO to the brothers xD. I really like how she expands on the demonic lore of the show- I love, LOVE the detail about how all demons used to be humans, how they’re souls corrupted in hell. And that in her past life she was a witch (there was this really good fic in Spanish fandom about it... I need to hunt it down).
BTW, though I think her interactions with Dean in that episode are interesting, it really hammers home how much I hate him sometimes xD. Can you stop saying misogynistic slurs for TWO GODDAMN MINUTES, DEAN (and as we know from as early as this season, only HE can have demon/monster friends!! What a fucking hypocrite xD). I freaking love the moment in the finale when she viciously yells him about how she wishes she could see him in hell lmao (and how it foreshadows that when she shows sympathy later, it’s actually Lilith in disguise lmfao). I hate Dean gets the last word in their dynamic, tbqh. Until the s15 cameo, at least xDD
One thing that’s been bothering me xD: the French fries. Demons are vulnerable to salt, like other spirits, right? (and hey, look what a nice piece of foreshadowing that was). How does that translate to food lol. Because Ruby adores French fries, and they obviously contain salt. It’s like spicy food for humans? Or like pineapple? Inquiring minds etc. xD
-I still cannot believe Bela Talbot was only on the show for six episodes lmao. Her presence still lingers in the watchers’ heads so much?? Which is understandable because she’s Lead Girl Material if there was ever any lol. The care with which they styled her even?? You don’t do that for just any character lmao (I mean, just look at most of SPN’s female characters for comparison xD).
Her ship with Dean could’ve really been something, too -even if I hate Dean in it, I can’t deny it packs a punch, narrative-wise. I mean, the Batcat undertones alone!! The fake married undercover shenanigans!! And I think it’s really interesting that she’s such a blind spot for him; Dean’s unusually intuitive about people, but with Bela he takes everything at face value and she can fool him like no other (while, OTOH, is Sam who questions her facade and wants to see more). If he hadn’t been such an idiot (and such an asshole) he could’ve had a really powerful ship. Sucks to be him lol.
Anyway. Man, I love her. So much. I love how Gordon’s threats to kill her don’t work on her, and I love that the show basically said “Bela killing her abusive parents is good, actually” (I’m so tired of forgiveness narratives, you guys. This entire show is founded on revenge, so let me get my revenge fantasies in peace!!) xDD. And I love, LOVE that she withheld that truth from Dean, that she decided he wasn’t worth it. OTOH, you know, fuck the fans that got her written out, definitely; but on the other, I do love how her story ended (and that it was a clear "fuck you" to shitty fans). Doesn’t stop me for wanting to read and re-read (and maybe write!) even more “Bela escapes hell” fix-its, but still.
Also, very important question: what happened to her cat?? It’s the cat alright?? I’m going to headcanon that she left them with that cougar friend of hers lol.
-So. THE DEAL. Okay. Oof. I love this storyline, a lot. A loooot. I love the conflict it creates between the brothers (as long as there’s still conflict and Sam hasn’t yet started taking everything lying down I can enjoy that part of their narrative lol). I love Dean’s initial forced giddiness about “making the most out of his last year” and I love the moment Dean decides he does want to try to live because it makes the last few episodes all the most desperate and cruel (and hey, I’ve heard he only went to hell because the season was cut short due to a writers’ strike... if that’s true that’s so funny lmao).
My absolutely favourite part however? That you can FEEL Dean’s unvoiced resentment towards Sam. For Dean having to die for him, even if Sam never asked him to. He lashes out to Sam repeatedly through the season, but it really came to ahead in the dreamspace episode, where Dean confronts another version of himself that talks about how Sam was “dotted on” (the revisionism asldfkaf). This show is absolutely ruthless when it comes to showing you its characters’ ugly, unfair reactions to things and it’s my favourite thing evah.
Speaking of the dreamspace episode, OMFG. I loved both brothers there. Dean’s hallucination, seeing himself as a demon? And how he let out his anger about John?? Beautiful, truly (regarding John, I also loved their different reactions when it looked like his spirit had contacted them: Dean jumping on it and Sam detached skepticism). But my favourite part has to be when Sam uses the villain’s abusive father against him. Like. Damn. That was cold-blooded o.0
The second-to-last episode, when Sam tracked down that Frankenstein doctor to try and make Dean immortal was ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING OMG. I loved that. I love that Sam wanted to use it for both them. It was some scary shit. I also love the scene where the crossroads demon questions whether Sam really wants to break the deal, I’m gathering it’s going to be nice foreshadowing later on in the show lol.
Anyway. I also found Dean’s death scene more impactful than Sam’s. Partially because of the horror of it, but mostly because I think at this type of scenes, Padalecki is better. Sam’s grief felt more real, Dean’s got me out of the scene (it’s the voice, I think. Sometimes Ackles’ voice takes me out of scenes, it sounds... forced).
I also really enjoyed how the time loop episode wrapped around this subplot. It managed to be both heartbreaking and mind-numbly hilarious lmfao. Like?? All the deaths?? Were so pathetic?? I tip my hat to Ackles because I don’t think most actors could carry plots like this half as well lmfao.
Sidenote, it’s always a trip to see The Trickster God knowing that fucker is Gabriel. Archangel “hey Mary do you accept God knocking you up” Gabriel. Which I guess isn’t exactly a thing in this show?? Since according to the wikia SPN Jesus was “just a man” (and let me tell you, I’m tickled pink by the fact that out of ALL mythological figures, specifically all CHRISTIAN mythological figures, the show decided to go “nah” on Jesus Christ. I mean, I guess he’d take away from Dean’s, Sam’s and Castiel’s resurrection narratives, but still. It’s so funny!!).
-Gordon Walker remains a superbly acted and fascinating character with extra racist nonsense alsdkfjasdf. But I can’t deny I loved seeing him as a vampire. He was terrifying. And I’m definitely shipping him with Kubrick, ouch xD
-The Ghostfacers episode is... something. As in, incredibly exploitative and homophobic and with an egregious case of BYG (and the first where I’d say it’s incontestable to claim the trope was used. s1 and s2 are muddy territory given the circumstances, IMO, but this one is 300% BYG), but so successfully manipulative my heart hurt for Corbett and Corbett x Ed still. Fuck them for that ngl. I do still enjoy how anti-Winchesters they all are though xD
-3x01 introduces the one nice marriage of hunters so far, between a black couple. The man dies in a gross, horrifying way within the episode ofc (because he was Mean to the the brothers duh). She makes it out alive, and since she doesn’t reappear in the show she gets to live. So for now black women have a sliiiiiightly better track record in SPN than track guys there: they get to appear in a few more episodes and be more fleshed out (Victor, Gordon), but as long as they’re only in one episode they get to live!! (Cassie, Tamara).
-Rufus and Bobby are exes, right? Right?? Probably still married in some state? You know that post about how when gay marriage was legalized across the USA there were a lot of issues because some couples had split and never bothered to divorce, since it was only legal in one place? That post was made for them. Pity Rufus is a black man, and as such has a limited number of allowed appearances before he’s killed off ¬¬
-I would’ve enjoyed Dean’s moments with Lisa and Ben more (it’s just so RIGHT that in this moment he’d want Ben to be his) if my knowledge of future spoilers didn’t perpetually have me in a state of “pls keep this guy away from kids” lol.
-They had Harmony’s actress (BTVS) and they made her a vampire!! The show’s hard on for the Buffyverse is a bit of a hit and miss but I can’t say I don’t relate xDD.
-I know Jensen Ackles can sing (in fact thanks to youtube I know a few of the actors can... is there a musical episode. Does this show have its own OMWF. I need to know). So why. WHY. Does he sound like that during “Dead or Alive”??? I actually like the scene but he sounds so off-key lmao.
-BTW, I found out that apparently Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan originally auditioned for each other’s roles añslkdfjasf. I can’t picture it. Ruby 1.0 is Ruby 1.0 and Bela is Bela xD. Although I’ve seen each playing roles that could meld with the other, just. Nope. Good choice on the casting there lol.

Legends of Tomorrow 3x01 - Aruba-Con - Thoughts
This is an entirely separate analysis than what I posted previously, as that one was based more on initial viewing and reacting without the time for more critical thought.
I’ll probably make a post later about my thoughts and speculations on this season going forward, because I have lots of opinions and predictions.
Spoilers below.
Honestly, I kinda just wanna say this to get it off my chest - I had no expectations for this season. Sure, the trailer got me pumped, but I figured it’d be about the same quality we’d come to expect by the time this season premiered. I mean, season two looked extremely promising and even had lots of strong moments and good concepts that just weren’t executed well. As far as this premiere concerning that, I wasn’t wrong.
It started off where last season left off, and we learned Rip, while to the Legend’s and our perspective, had only just left them, he had actually been gone for five years establishing the time bureau. And also, apparently becoming a bit of a dick. Okay, a HUGE dick. What the hell, actually about that? There’s got to be an explanation for his utter character assassination. Surely. He’s always been a lovable asshole. Not this “by-the-books,” pencil-pushing asshole. Which, yes, to be fair, he’s been to a certain degree. But not /this./
And he spends lots of time this episode blaming the Legends (and teaching this to his fucking bureau) for breaking time, even though HE IS HONEST TO FUCKING GOODNESS JUST AS RESPONSIBLE. Did I fucking sleep through the finale, or did he pretty much agree to risk breaking time? Yes? I feel like this is either them making Rip shift the blame or them being shitty writers. At this point, I CANNOT FUCKING TELL. But it still seems like shit writing, and it’s only the first episode. I feel bad for Rip’s fans at the moment, and I sincerely hope this is temporary, otherwise...*sigh
Sara in retail WAS fun. Six months in, you could see pre-shipwreck Sara in the way she was speaking. I’ve always preferred her appearances on Arrow as opposed to Legends, because I’ve always felt like something got lost in translation when she was brought over to LoT. I don’t really have any additional comments about her, but I did like that her feelings about working in retail was relatable to a lot of people. Except in her case, she could literally do the things she was imagining. Which was hilarious.
Point to note, as it occurred to me - considering Kid Flash’s appearance, I believe we are actually looking at the original (Flashpoint) timeline everyone is currently living in. Wally being there instead of Barry suggested to me that Barry is still gone, which is happening in the original timeline they are from. Considering that, what with the time bureau having been at work correcting anachronisms, I’m guessing that their setting history back properly for the most part has made it so that it doesn’t affect the other two Arrowverse shows for convenience. I was wondering how they’d do this and be able to have the crossover this year if they were in an alternate timeline they screwed up
Ray’s appearance wasn’t exactly as fun as Sara’s but it was funny, but it obviously had more plot significance with the dating app and frat boys during Caesar’s capture later in the episode. Ray’s appearance was probably the saddest/most pathetic of the three. He lost everything when he died, his company, and very likely his fortune.
God, Martin, Martin...oh Martin. As many of you are keenly aware by now, Victor Garber is exiting the show, very likely during the crossover as there is a funeral currently being filmed as he’s done with the Arrowverse and he’s set to do Hello, Dolly! in January. Stein is one of my favorite characters and so this is upsetting, and it’s kind of shitty they’ve chosen to have his exit during the crossover. This episode has some not so subtle foreshadowing on something terrible happening to Stein. First, we find out Lily is pregnant. Stein seems to be so happy and really settling in to being a father and now soon a grandfather. Then Jax comes stumbling into his door, having an existential crisis (because honestly, us 20-somethings have been there) having dropped out of school and wanting to actually be an engineer again instead of just studying to be one. Then comes the Waverider, and Stein just doesn’t look all too happy, especially when he’s back on board.
The roles here have reversed. Initially, it was Stein that was so enthusiastic about traveling and doing new things that he literally drugged Jax and kidnapped him so he could have his adventures (and I could sit here and talk all day about how shitty that is but that’s another discussion) on a real time ship. Now, Jax is the one that is wanting all the adventure as Firestorm and kind of guilting him about it “I’ve got my whole life ahead of me,” but Stein is now completely comfortable with his life with his daughter and his wife. He’s just not at the same place he was when he first boarded the Waverider. And quite frankly, I’m guessing Victor has been planning on leaving for a while because since last season they’ve been hinting that something would happen to him. Of course, Stein eventually, against his better judgement, agrees to continue to travel with his old team. To say I didn’t cry, well, I’d be lying. Like, y’all had to have Lily pregnant, didn’t you? And Stein happy? I want to fucking scream.
Mick, oh, Mick. Okay, first thing - okay, sometimes, I get really pissed off with these writers at making Mick the butt of their jokes. The STD joke was a bit much. I’m sorry, but I can’t believe Mick would be so careless as to not just once but on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS while in Aruba need treatment for STD’s. I’m pretty damn sure he’s smarter than this. They make him out to be this nasty, dumb blockhead and I’m honestly...getting really tired of it. He deserves better than this bullshit. There were some good moments in this episode - I liked his taking initiative when he realized it was really Julius Caesar he was talking to and gathered the Legends. I also liked how unlike the rest of the team, he casually walked into the Waverider and took charge. That was 100% a Mick move. Also, them still subtly alluding to the fact he still cares about the Legends and deciding to stay with them. And him stealing those items...that’s exactly why I love him. And from Rip, of all people! Though he absolutely deserves it.
It seems as though the Time Bureau is going to be a huge fucking issue this season, and, I’m going to call it, they’re going to turn out to be not that much different than the Time Masters. You watch. And I’m wondering if Rip himself is going to realize what he created. While I do think the Legends deserve some of the shit they’re getting because, let’s be honest, they are the absolute WORST at what they’re supposed to be doing. I also think some of it is undeserved. And it almost seems appropriate to me that they are the nuclear option to whatever big threat is coming (I missed the name) but I’m assuming it has to do with magic.
I’ve made a post previously about my thoughts on Grodd and Captain Cold returning (and others), and I’m going to include that in my season post. Basically, we’re getting two Snarts - I’m still quite sure one is Citizen Cold. I think this one will be during the Crossover. The other one, from the trailer? I don’t fucking know. I just want fucking Oculus!Snart back god fucking dammit. Like. Is that so hard to ask?

Spoilers for the season premiere of Legends of Tomorrow!
Legends of Tomorrow 3x01 "Aruba-Con" THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME — When the Legends realize that they broke the timeline, Rip Hunter (guest star Arthur Darvill) arrives with his new organization – the Time Bureau – to relieve them of duty.  The Legends are thrilled to get a chance to put the team back together but a new threat arises when Rory (Dominic Purcell) spots Julius Caesar (guest star Simon Merrells) in Aruba.  Sara (Caity Lotz), Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh) devise a plan to steal the Waverider back from the Time Bureau in order to try and stop Julius Caesar from conquering the modern world. Victor Garber, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Franz Drameh also star. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#301).  Original airdate 10/10/2017.
Looking forward to more time shenanigans.  As someone who loves Roman history, I’m sure this episode will be alternately hilarious and infuriating...probably at the same time :>
