“Come on, buddy. Let's go!” Based off of this voice line, I like to think Lúcio has a habit of saying his thought process out loud! Not in the way that’ll jeopardise the mission, but rather for the more mundane things like when he’s tinkering with something, or when he wants to sound out a new lyric.

In a similar vein, based on his Valentine’s voice line, he stutters and stammers when he’s nervous. It’s harder to hide it when he’s around you. Really, he wants to be cool, but when you smile at him, it’s like every line he was rehearsing the whole morning just leaves his brain! 

While his songs usually fall under the techno or electronic music genre, he actually listens to a little bit of everything. That one band you like that you think no one cares about? He knows about them, and he’d love to rave all about them with you.

It doesn’t take much to make him flustered. Compliment him once and he’ll be thinking about it the whole day. Whether it’s because of the compliment itself or because it’s from you, he’ll never tell. (It’s not like he’s subtle about it, but don’t tell him that!)

He’d love to have one of those cliché roller-skating dates with you. He gets to show off his sick moves, impress you, and hold your hand as you skate together? As far as he’s concerned, it’s his biggest win.

Sometimes you have to repeat things once or twice to get his attention. His mind is constantly flowing with new ideas, so he tends to get lost in them.

He knows a lot about music and will ramble about its history the moment you give him the get-go. He gets very animated talking about it, his eyes practically sparkling when he does so. He might get sheepish midway, but with some encouragement, he’ll get back on track.

Huge fan of slap bracelets and glow-in-the-dark trinkets. He can’t quite explain why, he just likes them. He likes collecting souvenirs from places he visits as well. Vinyls, CDs, old music players, anything vintage, you name it.

Overall, he’s a great guy to be around. He’s positive and optimistic, very encouraging and a good listener. If you don’t have plans for the day, tag along with him for a day out in the city! His spontaneity can lead to fun activities you can do together, like laser tag! With Lúcio, you won’t ever feel down. For him, being with you makes him feel the same way.

We know how there was a Overwatch TV show back in the day, who do you think each character idolized of the older gen? Non heroes like Alejandra who might just start using Morrison as a figure to live by. I'm just thinking of heroes like Sombra, Tracer, Illari, Ashe, Lucio, D.va, etc...

Who would the heroes idolize out of that TV Show or just Overwatch in general?

Here's the thing, considering the fact that it's confirmed that Tracer was a character in this cartoon I think only the kid characters + Illari would have watched that cartoon. It also makes sense since it seems that near the end of Overwatch they were releasing a lot of things like posters and other media to try and get public favour back. So for this post I'll only talk about the character I think were either in the age range or would have watch the cartoon.

Timmy - he's the younger boy who appears in the Cinematic trailer for Overwatch and he confirms his favorite member is Tracer. So going by that assumption we can probably say that the same can be said for the TV show.

Brian - He's Timmy's older brother and was either never interested in Overwatch stuff or disillusioned by it because of Overwatch's fall. After watching the cinematic trailer again I would have to say his favorite character probably was either Sojourn or Tracer.

Alejandra - This one is easy, Jack, Jack was her favorite character. Though I also think she'd like Reinhardt, and if he's characterized in a good light, Cassidy, mostly because they have a similar moral code and outward attitude to Jack.

Efi - Efi is also an easy one since it's confirmed that her favorite character is Sojourn.

Akari - I honestly don't know who her favoite character would be, maybe Winston and Angela? Winston because she seems very fond of animals in general and Angela because I think she just likes people who help heal and protect others.

Illari - I don't really think Illari would have watched the cartoon a lot but I do think her favourite character would have been Ana.

Lucio - He absolutely watch that cartoon, he's an Overwatch fanboy so no matter at what age he was, he would have watched that show. I think he would have been the type of person to say the everyone was his favourite character, though I think he would have a preference towards the old guard.

Lucio (and his dad) Headcanons

He lives in the same house as his extended family. Grandma, grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins, you name it. They're all together under one big roof.

Lucio is an only child, but since he's one of the oldest in the family, he takes up the responsibility of being one of the eldest for his cousins.

Almost everyone in the neighborhood knows him because of how much he plays with the children and entertaining them, as well as ensuring their safety sometimes when they're on the streets.

While he's a pretty responsible and athletic kid, he has trouble staying still and focusing in class when he has nothing to do. Frequently, tapping his feet or his fingers to a rhyme when he can't busy his hands enough. And even humming and drumming a beat with his pencil a few times. It got him in trouble a few times for disturbing the class, but he just can't easily stop his stimming.

Unfortunately, he's not very good at class and in school, except for PE. But his parents try to reassure him that it's alright, even if his other cousins are doing better in school.

Lucio is actually pretty great at cooking, having helped out his mom in the kitchen a few times. He knows his favorite recipes by heart, though there had been times he forgets what to do next.

He appreciates having a friend around to remind him what to do next when that happens, especially if you don't want an accidentally slightly burnt dinner.

When he left Rio to join Overwatch, his mother gave him a copy of the family's recipe book. Just so he can make his family's food whenever he wants or gets homesick.

He also helped around alot in his dad's workshop. Bringing him tools and materials as music from a repaired radio rang throughout the workshop. Colors vibrating through the walls as he watched and listened to his dad working on his new project. Hearing the wonderful ideas his bright mind made.

He learned alot about engineering from him, and while he won't reach his dad's height. He could definitely tinker a thing or two around there. He adjusted the tech he "stole" from Vishkar to help people instead of repress them after all. And he made the technology he used for his Synaesthesia Auditiva concert.

I am 100% sold on the idea that Lucio has chromesthesia after reading this amazing post.

While he states that the album was inspired by people in Brazil, it makes sense as an artist for him to express a part of himself and his identity through his music. Thus, the title of his album and how he structured the performance of his music for the concert. His audience not only just being able to listen to the music but also feel and see it as deeply as he can.

He didn't learn he was different until his dad made an off comment about how some people can see colors when they hear music while they were working in the workshop, the radio still playing music. And Lucio nonchalantly replied, "Well, yeah! Ofcourse they do!" as he was scurrying through his dad's tools.

His father had to take a moment to realize his son actually experienced such a thing. And when it finally sinked in that his son had chromesthesia, his reaction was priceless

Some time during his teenager years, he ended up in an accident. There had been a few construction materials scattered everywhere on a street and a little girl was about to be crushed by the unstable debris falling on her if Lucio didn't intervene and pushed her out of the way in time.

His legs ended up getting crushed. While the rest of the neighbors who saw the accident quickly ran to call for help and alert Lucio's parents, trying to help get him out.

While his legs were thankfully not too harmed that he had to get an amputation and use prosthetics, he had been partially paralyzed to his waist and down and had to use leg braces.

(Gives a whole new deeper meaning about his New Year's Resolution being about giving every kid new skates in a way)

His father made him some personalized ones in his freetime. Though he does use a wheelchair sometimes too, especially when he was first recovering.

While his father loves his home, he has to admit that someone has to clear the streets to make it safer.

His dad worked for Vishkar even before they got to Rio, working at home and taking scheduled trips to Vishkar headquarters to present his work. He only started working a normal full time job once Vishkar moved in.

He believed in the company's vision for a better world while also keeping the culture and traditions. He just didn't realize how grueling Vishkar actually is until they were towering over his home.

The hardlight skates Lucio wears was a personal project his dad did as a prototype to experiment how hardlight technology could be used for movement, having his son's love for rollerskating in mind. Teleporters and hardlight structures were good. But imagine if architects could walk safely on walls while constructing, and were able to move more freely.

If hardlight technology can be achieved and light is a wave, is it possible that sound-based technology can be achieved because sound is also a wave? While the two are different, there are similarities. So who's to say sound-based technology can't be achieved?

Lucio's hair was dyed yellow by his cousins in his Overwatch 1 skin because they wanted to help him get ready for a concert. The color had long since faded from its vibrancy by time, but he didn't have the heart to touch it up unless his cousins wanted to do it. It's just not the same as a professional hairstylist.

His cousins were also the ones to gift him the ridiculous Rudolph nose-glasses that he wears in his Christmas emote. That emote had been his exact reaction to the gift, earning alot of laughs from his cousins as he flaunted the wonderful present proudly.

But not without nuzzling his red nose reindeer towards his cousins once until they laugh from being tickled.

Unfortunately, during the time he was fighting Vishkar and for freedom with his community, he almost got rolled because someone grabbed him by his long locs and pulled him harshly. He was able to disengage and win that fight. But after that, he decided that he had to keep his hair short so his long hair won't be taken advantaged of again during a fight. Who knows what would've happened if he didn't react quickly enough?

The "long hair" we see from Lucio's Overwatch 2 skin that changes from green to yellow are pretty much hair extensions that changes colors. They hold onto his head strong enough that they don't fly off when he's moving quickly, but if you pull at them hard enough, they'll pop off so he can safely escape. The hair extensions are grey when they're powered off. Or been hacked. Though in the case of Sombra, a few purple flickers does appear in the hair extensions.

Also yes, his leg braces/hardlight skates can be hacked by Sombra.

Before Invasion, alot of us thought Lucio's dad possibly died because people kept bringing him up in past tense. But now that we have confirmation that he's alive thanks to his email to Overwatch, I propose:

After he made the core technology and the prototype of the hardlight skates and bits of the sonic technology that was patented and owned by Vishkar, he ended up getting into an accident while he was going home and ended up in a coma.

He was comatosed in the hospital for a while as his son rallied the people against Vishkar and made plans to crumble their control bit by bit, and he only woke up some time before the events of Invasion.

He's still recovering when he wrote that email.

this man LOVES to swim and play beach volleyball and you can’t change my mind

you end up being the driver while he plays his ‘perfect beach’ playlist

definitely packs a speaker and blasts music all day

1000% wears his own merch and probably has cute little green board shorts he wears

sets up an umbrella for you to lay under and put all your drinks

he’s in the ocean more than he is on land 

probably brought some pool floaties or something to play with in the water

even though his cybernetics are advanced enough to survive getting wet, the salt water SUCKS

and the sand?? it gets stuck in his joints 

if he does agree to go to the beach he is definitely not playing any beach sports or swimming 

but he DOES bring squirt guns to annoy you with

he pulls them out of literally nowhere to douse you in water

it doesn’t matter if you take it away, he’ll just pull out another one

if you try to retaliate, its all: “babe no the salt water is bad for my armour”

“im literally shooting your actual skin”

he is a BLESSING to have when its really hot though

cause he can control his body temperature, he is like a portable air conditioner 

you just lay on him whenever you get too hot

he accepts it because he just wants to be close to you

Hanzo

makes a bunch of food and drinks for the beach

including lots of tea sandwiches and juice boxes

brings it all in this ginormous cooler that he can barely see over 

also brings himself a book to read

he’s not very interested in going in the water but he’ll play beach games with you

or just lay on the towel and read

but if he’s reading you’re more than welcome to lay on him

make sure he applies sunscreen!!

he has delicate skin and burns easily and WILL be grumpy if he gets burnt

he’ll go in the water if you ask him nicely

but don’t splash him or else

when you’re swimming he would definitely let you wrap your arms around his shoulders while he swims around and just tow you

he is probably a god at beach volleyball tbh

and shuffleboard but we don’t talk about that

makes sure you stay hydrated the whole time and is constantly pushing you to try the food he made

Lucio x S/O Who’s Great At Flustering Him

It’s actually been my headcanon for a while that Lucio is very easy to make blush

Lucio is a sweetheart who has so much passion and love to dole out and he deserves someone who will give the same back to him.

It’s not even that you are particularly flirty with him either. Lucio just finds everything you say/do amazing and quite frankly is amazed to have someone like you in his life. So, when you show him all the affection that you do, regardless of what type, he’s going to be a bit of a lovesick mess.

One time, and Hana will never let him live this down, you had been sitting on the couch with him scrolling through your phone. You had stumbled upon a photo of a really cute frog and naturally you wanted to share it with your boyfriend who’s lap your head was resting on.

You looked up at him, already far too cute for your own good and smiled at him. You held up your phone, presenting the image of the frog and said, “It’s you.”

The boy could not form a coherent thought for at least 30 seconds after that. 

It does not matter what kind of affection you are showing him, who is around, or where you are. Everything you do pretty much gets this man to blush.

He loves you with all his heart and has written many a song about you, a fact that, ironically, has flustered you quite a bit.

Been a while since I posted anything (school started up again 😭) so here are some HC's about some Overwatch members meeting Snowball

- When anyone meets Snowball for the first time he acts a little shy. Usually he'll peek out from behind Mei, then likes to fly around the person he's meeting to get familiar with them. It's hard for Snowball to find someone he doesn't like, and he ends up nuzzling against most people excitedly like a happy puppy. If he doesn't find someone he likes (which is RAREEEE) then he'll go back to hiding behind Mei.

- Tracer and Winston absolutely FELL IN LOVE when they first met Snowball (I mean. Who wouldn't? Look at that face), and he loved them back. I can imagine him and Tracer playing a bit of friendly tag around Gibraltar, and Winston making some special modifications to his charging station so he could charge faster and more comfortably (he's also currently making multiple to place all over Gibraltar in case he runs low in an inconvenient place)

- Brigitte was super amazed at Snowball's ice abilities and asked like a million questions about how he did it, how he stored fuel, etc (cue some inspiration for fuel management for Torb's ice turrets). She reads poems to both Mei and Snowball, and even if he doesn't quite understand the concept of poetry, he audio recorded every single one and has them saved in a folder Mei made. Brigitte also loves giving him headpats- she's used to that because of Mitzi

- Snowball was a little off put by Genji, because he couldn't see his face or know how he was feeling easily. Genji was VERY still, to the point even Mei was a little worried Snowball wouldn't like him. Eventually though Snowball happily chattered and nuzzled against him, which ended up scuffing both of them (since. Metal). But Genji did indeed like Snowball too, and always makes sure Snowball nuzzles him wherever his hoodie covers in order for neither to get scuffed up again.

- Lucio sampled Snowball's chatters for one of his songs, I am SURE of it. He's still working on it, but did ask Snowball to chatter into a mic so he could make something out of it.

- Mei's definitely the sort of person to dress Snowball up in little outfits, ranging from tiny dapper hats to cute bows and more. When she first told Hana this, she was like. "... I got you." Next day, Hana bought a TON of accessories, and Snowball LOVED IT. They spent a whole night playing dress up while Mei worked (she eventually joined at the end)

- Angela and Mei probably work together on some things, and one day Angela was talking about how exhausted managing so many files was even with Athena helping. Mei suggested Snowball could help, since he's good at transferring, storing, and organizing files wherever they need to be. When Snowball helped her out, Angela was amazed at how fast he was able to sort so many files. Mei was just watching with a proud smile on her face. Now, if Angela's having difficulty sorting files, she'll ask Snowball to help and reward him with headpats and a good cleaning.

He’s so excited

Like, SO excited

Halloween is one of his favorite holidays so you know he goes all out

Tricks out the kiddos’ costumes probably a little too much

Luci, your young cousin dressed as a robot doesn’t actually need functional robotic arms

If you’re someone who doesn’t do costumes, too bad because you and Lucio are wearing fancy matching ones

He’s so giddy about Halloween that it’s almost like you’re dealing with another kid

Before the group goes out, he sits down with the kids and makes a game plan

Helps them figure out the best and fastest candy routes, and pick out which houses have the best goodies so you guys can hit them first

He also picks out a few check-in spots in the neighborhood just in case anyone gets lost

Strong believer of the idea that no one is too old for trick-or-treating, so he waits until the kids each grab a couple of pieces before snagging a piece each for himself and you

He’s running around and being just as squirrel-y as the kids are

It’s chaos

But it’s fun chaos

By the end of the night, each of the kids has a giant bag of candy, and so do you and Lucio to share

He’s probably just as exhausted as the kids are by the end of the night but he ends up hauling like three half-asleep kids home on his shoulders and in his arms anyway

Once back home, it’s movie and candy-trading time

Everyone pours out their candy into separate piles and trades disliked treats for faves

Then the lot of you curl up and watch some Halloween classics

The kids don’t make it through one movie before falling asleep

Lucio barely makes it through two

Sigma

Excited but more for the kiddos than himself

Tbh, he’d much rather be at home handing out candy than wandering around in the chilly evening air b u t he loves to spend time with your and your family, so he’s immediately on board

Not much a costume man, so he lets the kids pick what he is and does his best to recreate it

The youngest member of the group demands he be a doctor fairy and he just can’t refuse

While out and about, he hangs back with you to share small talk and keep and eye on the kids going haywire around you

He helps you corral them around and make sure everyone is behaving and being nice to each other

Some house have candy bowls sitting on tables or stair railings that are too high for the kiddos to reach, so he picks them up one by one to help them snag their favorite ones

On occasion, he’ll sneak a candy to bring back and split with you as your group continues on its way

Tbh, most of the night is just you two corralling children and sharing kisses and candy when you get a chance to

Roadhog

Honestly, a little stressed, not that he really shows that

You know him well enough to tell, though

Nervous because he thinks he’s scary but not in the fun Halloween way

Your young relatives disagree but he chalks that up to them being familiar with him from previous meetings

If he comes down the street dressed up in a costume, he’s going to scare everyone and send them running

Which he normally wouldn’t care about but he doesn’t want to ruin things for you and your family specifically

You might have to convince him to wear something other than his regular attire because he thinks his normal getup is spooky enough

“Mako, you can’t go like that, you’re literally a wanted criminal.”

He grumbles about it being Halloween so no one will know it’s him, only to be shut down when you point out that it would be hard to overlook the fact that his body type and his outfit are identical to that of the wanted Roadhog

He probably quietly pouts a little bit longer but caves almost immediately when you bring out the puppy eyes

If he has to wear a costume, you have to pick it for him

So, naturally, you pick a cutesie pink pig

And you’re the farmer that owns said pig

Moving onto the actual outing, though

The kids basically ride Roadie all evening

He’s a giant, a few tiny people in glitter and face paint would be like carrying a gallon of milk

They sit on his shoulders or hang off his back and arms

He doesn’t mind in the slightest

They only hop off to run up porches to get the goods

He wasn’t entirely wrong that he would spook people but with his piggie outfit, it was only enough to get them to veer out of his way

Which meant your group got to the best candy first

Once he realized his power and your young family members’ enjoyment of it, he started actively spooking groups of kids and parents out of the way

You probably would have scolded him if you didn’t notice the kids getting such a kick out of it
