ever person in the shaw pack has/had a crush on darlin

darlin has been voted as the 'hottest person in the pack as well

babe is classically trained in piano and viola and one day dreams to own they're own grand piano don't worry davids rich ass may or may not be planning this as a wedding gift for them

playing off that last point babe hates it when people after finding out they can play, start demanding not asking no demanding them to play something. everytime this happens (which isn't often at least with the shaw pack that is) asher has to physically hold his mate back from violently shoving they're viola bow up the assholes... asshole

instead of hush just waiting at docs apartment for them to come home from work, he would rather creepily sit with his knees to chest in an extra spinney chair in the corner of docs office. like he'll act 'normal' when its just him and doc, but if someone comes in for any reason hell stop talking and just watch them

mentor actually isn't that nice to they're coworkers but when they first saw ollie they were smitten, like ollie is the only person they talked to outside of work stuff. they were not there for water cooler small talk😭but for ollie they would do anything

on that same not i am a firm believer in james spouse being stoned faced with everyone except james and the hand full friends that they have

asset loves listening and asking questions to anton or james talk about their respective spouses

anton has been slowly building up a collection of shiny rocks hes either fond or bought so when he finally gets to go home to his partner and give to them

david is actually besties with babe because their both people who see Asher on a consistent bases and therefore meet up every other week discussing the various type of shenanigans asher gets into

darlin and brights have a bone room in sam and darlin's house.... let me explain, so it is of my firm belief that 90% of the shaw pack is neurodivergent and darlin is not exempt from that. bright also has some vague form of neurodivergent that bright refuses to anyone and this all comminates into both of them coincidently having the same special interests in bones and animals in general. and since sam (according to asher) owns this big ass cabin in the middle of the woods, it was perfect. and bright didnt have the bone room is because they had a small enough collection to keep in their room at sams place. that is until darlin moved and pulled up with their extensive collecting that they've had since the age of 10 and sam was very willing to put one of those 'guest room' nobody uses them bright happen to be there the day darlin and sam were able to get the aforementioned bone collection home form storage and they lost there collective mind with excitement. and sam got watch with this fond and loving twinkle as bright and darlin ramble and trade facts about animals and their bones (and darlin got to teach bright how to properly clean bones it was adorable)(ok ill shut up about this)

angel loves to recreate outfits from many types of videogames and tv show and uses packmembers (read as: tank and asher) as mannequins.

going off that last point(again) david loves listening to angel ramble about they're latest project and intentionally searched and bought a house with alot of big ass closets so angel can hang up all of the finished ones and store all of the stuff they need to make

ftm!guy is rarely ever dysphoric b/c while honey isnt the greatest at expressing their emotions they are incredibly attentive with guy and his needs and wants so this means that honey is always checking in on him. not only that but early on when they were just roommates that one other girl's boyfriend that they were rooming with (i forgot her name) made an off handed/gross comment about guy and honey literally kicked his ass out. like they picked he disgusting ass up and threw him out of the fucking apartment.... guy still laughs about to this day.

i fully believe that the damn polycule does and should include laskos listener (dear) and they can infact dom anyone

lovely didnt grow up or live the riches life so when they started to dating vincent they had hard time excepting all of Vincent and williams expansive gifts all the while Vincent love langue is gift giving

lovley loves music so much. like its the hyperfixation, anything to do with music and i mean anything lovely could probaly tell you about. and much to willams delight that means he now has someone to talk about music and art from his time peroid (hes over 500 y/o yall) and them knowing exactly what theyre talking about

despite the fact that alot of people will say that lovely is William's fave, its actually untrue. williams favorite is actually darlin, i know i know but stick with me here. i think alot of the clan members to tend to question or disagree with william because hes their king but darlin is very diffrent. i think that once they start attending clan meetings the kinda behave like they're at pack meeting b/c its essentially the same thing. so theyre always asking questions, giving suggestions and even calling william out when he sometimes gets things wrongs. and william loves this, he loves how engaged they are and recognizes that thats just how darlin shows that not only do they care but that theyre listening. hell he'll even tell someone (even if sam has alredy told them the stfu) that trys to rudely interrupt darlin with " YoU SHoUlDnT iNtErRuPt ThE kInG!" to stfu if you dont have anything meaningful to contribute

everyone(excluding like a handful of people) in the both shaw pack and the solaire pack is kinda protective of babe and angel. and its not just because they're both humans its mostly because both of the are humans that treat others as humans. let me explain, so in empowered society ive noticed that vampires and shifter are treated differently form other empowered people. its really supple but anyways both angel an babe see no reason to interact with vampires and shifters any differently from how they would interact with any other person and most of them really appreciate that. people tend to talk to shifters like they're animals of some kind and people tend to act like all vamps have no control over theyre impulses and hunger and when both are asked angel tells the person that no matter what kind of magic got, it doesnt matter. because at the end of the day they all are/were human. with babe youll get similar answer but they'll tack on that its important for everybody to remember that they are people, human of not people are flawed and will make mistake. and trying to pretend that your above/below feelings and flaws is very bad for ones mental health. and thats how alot of older generations of shifter/vamp end up living in the middle of bumfuck no where, borderline insane and very lonely

Hey everyone! Time for the bi-weekly tumblr update for Steamberry stuffs!

Summary

Finished writing all routes up through the end of chapter 9

Started working on editing for now

Added in-game achievements

Received some new BG art

Ramble

Okay, so writing-wise, I wrote Yren's content up through the end of chapter 9. Also revamped my end-route summaries for Yren and Raif.

The current word count is 426,000 words.

But I decided to hold off on finishing the endings for the four remaining routes. The main reason for this is that I have planned a lot of early-story changes that are going to shift the trajectory of the route endings. And I was really struggling with how to construct the route endings with those planned changes in a more nebulous state.

I usually try to avoid working out of order because I find it is not conducive to forward progress. But there are some points when you have to break the rules and go back to make important edits because you need them there in order to be able to move forward.

I'm kind of at that point.

So I decided I would fully edit Asher's route, which will allow me to inject all those planned changes into the story which will make it much easier to construct endings that call back to that earlier foreshadowing.

So writing-wise, that's what I've been doing this week. I am currently up to Chapter 6 in the edit (which means I'm a little less than half through the route).

Other Stuff:

I have received new BGs of course. Those are coming in at a fairly steady rate of 1.5 - 2 weeks each.

I also have decided to add in-game achievements to WSC. I've been thinking about it for a while but putting it off since I know that one more screen (like an achievements gallery) means more tweaks to the UI. But I finally sucked it up and did it anyway.

I've also been playing with a colour slider for Wil's sprite. I'm not going to go into detail about it here because I've talked about it more in depth on Patreon and will continue to post most of the details there.

But the idea is that instead of choosing from 3 skin tones and 2 hair colours, there would be colour sliders allowing for a much greater range of selection. One of the big concerns with colour sliders is whether or not the recolours can be made to look as good as recolouring manually - which has always been why I've stayed away from them.

The more complex shading styles have always struggled with colour sliders. But a developer friend - Feniks - has made a really cool and dynamic shader that actually can recreate even painterly or non-outlined art styles with incredible accuracy.

Using a slider is really useful because it increases the variations the player gets while *reducing* my work load. Instead of having to recolour manually, I would actually only need to colour everything once in grey scale.

Of course, it's not as easy as just dumping in the code and art. It requires some experimentation and learning but right now it is looking like I will be able to make it work. So I may be able to show off some examples in the future.

Upcoming Weeks:

I am currently editing Chapter 6 of asher/common routes and there are some pretty substantial edits I have to make.

It's always tricky to estimate what I will get done editing wise because editing does not flow at a more or less even pace like writing. Chapter 5, 6, and 7 had (and will have) major updates and changes so it may take a while to get through them. Though I'm already through with Ch 5. So...that's one of three.

Anyway.

And I'm also working on the GS lore book, still (LoL. 🙃). Someone today reminded me that I still need to go through all the deleted content to see if anything is salvageable for the lore book too.

This recent talk about authors has me curious: Do you have favourite authors? Or favourite books that you'd recommend (as in not specifically recommend to a person looking to read a specific genre etc. but rather a book you loved reading and would love to shove into absolutely everybody's faces if you could)? Do you only read in English or do you also like to read in other languages? What book or books are you currently reading?

And just so these aren't one-way-street-like snoopily curious questions: my favourite authors are Emma Donoghue and Hannah Kent; my favourite books are "Slammerkin" by Emma Donoghue, "Burial Rites" by Hannah Kent, "Christmas Eve Kittens" by Wilma Counts, Cathleen Clare and Debbie Raleigh, "Every day" by David Levithan, "Der Kristallpalast" (The Crystal Palace) by Oliver Plaschka, Alexander Flory and Matthias Mösch; I'm currently reading "Time of the Magicians" by Wolfram Eilenberger and anxiously awaiting Hannah Kent's most recent book "Devotion" to be translated to my native language.

I am very bad at accurately sorting books into genres, but I'd guess most of the books I've read may be classified as YA, though I personally don't know what classifies a book as YA apart from "is written with young adults as the target group," but that's too broad a description to be useful to anyone in my opinion, heh. Some things I've read I'd sort into (also way too broadly classified) stuff like romance (Christmas Eve Kittens), crime or detective fiction [Krimi in german combines both] (for kids The Three Investigators and The Famous Five, and arguably for adults Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot though I've only seen Poirot films not yet read Poirot books, shame on me!), horror (Fear Street series as horror for kids and Lovecraft for adults), historical fiction (books by Hannah Kent and Emma Donoghue, Lilac Girls), historical nonfiction (Time of the Magicians and The Visionaries by Wolfram Eilenberger), steampunk (Der Kristallpalast, World Shaker, Steamed, Magierdämmerung), nonfiction (Zoo Station: The Story of Christiane F.), poetry (Heinrich Heine and Edgar Allan Poe) among other things like light-hearted children's books (St. Clare's series).

Some of the aforementioned books are classified as YA, and in my opinion reasonably so, though I do believe that classifying YA as a genre itself is quite useless since it only describes the target group but barely describes what a book is about, if that makes sense.

If I had to write down some classifiers for YA, I'd say it's maybe books that are written in a way that's accessible to a person who is no longer a child but still may be likely to not have experienced much of the adult world yet and may not necessarily be very well-read or knowledgeable about more "mature" topics on a deeper level. I'd guess that for example a book that's about topics that people may have come into contact with during their adolescence in some way may be YA like drugs (Blue Highway by Diane Tullson) and emotional rollercoasters and bullying (Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, Easy Meat by Maureen Stewart) and stalking (Unheimliche Nähe by Patricia Schröder) and mental illnesses like eating disorders (Jeansgröße 0 by Brigitte Blobel) or depression and physical ilnesses (Before I Die by Jenny Downham, Skellig by David Almond though it's mainly about fantasy and arthritis isn't the focal point if I'm not misremembering) etc. (all of the examples are YA I've read and would also classify as such) or maybe a book that contains entry-level knowledge about philosophy that you may have learned in school or that you may yourself have come across in some way unrelated to school but that doesn't require deeper knowledge on that topic or on specific philosophers or philosophy schools for its target audience to understand well...

Now that I've forgotten whatever point I wanted to make: sorry for rambling, I've been sitting in your askbox trying to remember the titles and looking up their translations and the authors' names for the past hour or so instead of doing the household chores I had planned to do today lol. Off to eat bread for lunch because now I'm too hungry to cook, oops.

I'm currently reading Invitation to a Banquet: The Story of Chinese Food by Fuchsia Dunlop.

I don't have any books I want to thrust upon everyone. I think that's a good way to breed haters for things I love.

In general, favorite authors of mine are... hmm... Agatha Christie, Tamara Allen, Loretta Chase, Georgette Heyer, Mary Elizabeth Braddon... IDK. It's hard to think of people off the top of my head. I like the current indie "m/m romance" scene in English, but it feels like it's still early days for that industry, and I can't think of a lot of authors I love who have multiple series and who aren't going through a career slump. (Like I love Jordan L. Hawk in general, but his latest stuff isn't making me rush to read more even if I'm still backing his Patreon. KJ Charles not only irritated me with dumb posts but started writing suckier books till I no longer buy her at all.)

I've read a lot of Golden Age detective fiction and some hard boiled US stuff (think 1930s and 40s). I've probably reread those sorts of books more than any others. While I certainly have authors I like, I only very, very rarely reread anything, and a lot of what I read is by non-prolific or long-dead people, so I don't have a bunch of names I go to the bookstore for currently.

My grandmother owned a fuckton of Three Investigators books, so I devoured those as a kid, though I think most Americans my age don't care about them.

I read in Spanish too. The only thing I've gotten through a lot of that springs to mind is the capitan Alatriste series. In general, if I travel somewhere Spanish speaking, I'll try to pick up some books, but I usually end up with things that are too highfallutin and literary for my taste or that are real downers. (Plus I'm a slow reader in Spanish, so the more literary stuff is a slog.) I like fun trash, and most of the fun trash I've seen on bookshelves is translated American romance novels and that kind of thing. I'll read in translation, but not if it's from English.

I do read manga in Japanese, but I'm not anywhere near good enough to read novels at this point.

I'm not calling this design "Andy Rose" I'm sorry but that feels too basic.

Now why did I do this? Because I wanted to.

I said it in tags already but DO NOT TAG THIS AS A GENDERBEND. THIS IS NOT THAT. ITS A TRANSGENDER AMY BUT IN A TRANSMASC SENSE.

Right so nothing about Asher here changes from amy btw. Aside from his gender identity obviously.

He still a cute pink hedgehog who loves sonic and weilds a giant hammer and can and will destroy you at a moments notice lol

And even if this /was/ a genderbend thing, and not me being like "hehe self projecting on a character I like" , he's not gonna suddenly be all "oo hehe I'm a flirt now ooo" like I've seen.

With that said I hate how genderbends tend to do that like your gender doesn't fucking effect your personality who said it did regarding the gender bend trope I want to kick them in the balls if they have them.

Ashers boots are the exact same as Amy's. Heel n' everything.

He wears a headband still. As you can see. It always goes only under the top quill of his bang and the top quill of his head-spines. There is the little tie thing there, and it always remains on that one side. There's not another tie on the other side of his head.

I'm not sure if it's very clear or not, but he's wearing a little bit of eyeliner. Not Silver the Hedgehog levels of eyeliner, but just a little.

He does not have the fold thingy between his eyes like sonic does. It's constructed the same as regular amy. Or if you still want an example from not amy, classic sonic. Maybe I'll make a little ref sheet thing someday that explains what I'm talking about better.

His chest is a heart shape! I've seen this design choice on amy before, and I love it so much like it fits so well

He's got trans scars too. Nothing real special about drawing those, it's the same as how I draw 'em on Sonic lol

He probably got back spines and a longer nose during his trans surgery idk I don't tend to think that deep into things on purpose

Also I hc Amy as bisexual therefore I headcanon Asher as bisexual.

"i'm on my way! i'm on my way!" in their fiancee's raspy voice is what woke babe up from their midday nap.

it was a familiar sound, one that spread feelings of happiness, and warmth, and comfort in their chest. however, a feeling it did not trigger was sleepiness, and besides, it was already two in the afternoon. if they went back to sleep now, then they may have a hard time falling asleep in the evening.

babe rose from the california king bed they shared with asher, grabbing an old band shirt their mate owned that's two sizes too big for them before padding over to the living room where the noises came from.

"look, i'm sorry, i'm sorry- i said i was on my way didn't i? gimmie like, thirty seconds and i'll be right there." asher rambled through his speaker. he's biting his lip in focus and he had a determined glint in his eye.

his teammates must really be giving him shit for being separated.

his arms were on his lap as he leaned forward, but he quickly relaxed when he saw his mate enter the room. all tension eased out of his body, and that goofy grin painted itself on his lips as they sat down on the space next to them.

"hey baabe! i missed you." he was getting closer to them, hoping to be on the receiving end of a kiss, but babe wanted to mess with him a little bit.

they put their index finger on his lips and gently pushed him back. "that's your own fault for leaving me all alone in our bed." they sighed a world weary sigh before continuing. "left me all alone to fend for myself and for what?" they looked up at him with glossy eyes making asher pout at them.

"aww, i'm sorry, babe. here, lemme make it up to you." he carefully cradled their face in his hands and pressed soft kisses all over.

babe giggled, the scruff of his five o'clock shadow tickled them, but they made no move to pull away. instead, they put their hands over asher's bigger ones and let him have his way. that was until they heard furious shouting over his headphones.

"ASHER WHERE ARE YA? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA BE HERE IN THIRTY SECONDS?"

"asher if we end up dying i swear."

he just looks at you, looking unaffected by his teammates and completely affected by your presence and mouths out "worth it."

Autistic Alastor who's been heavily masking his entire life.

But when he finally relented and confessed to Vox so they could become an official couple together after a very long time of talking and communicating to each other, whenever Alastor gets overstimulated, he would hold Vox's hand and talk to him in their private frequency when he needs to leave.

Vox happily drops what he's doing and as Alastor melds into Vox's shadow to avoid other people seeing his weaknesses, Vox would go to a private place so the two can cuddle or do whatever else Alastor needs to recuperate from overstimulation.

So, that announcement :(

I don't wanna spend too much time just doomposting so instead,

Have some thoughts from someone with (probably?) a pretty unique perspective on the game :?

God.

I love this game so much. Over 1500 hours in I think and it's my favourite game of all time aaand it's dead. Or, on life support at least.

I think deep down I saw this coming but still :( wow it hurts.

But blegh, no more sadposting.

I guess what all of you may not know is that I'm not just a giant shitposter and dumbass shipper — I play(ed?) this game competitively a lot! I grinded the fuck out of this game to... a decent amount of success? I'm one of the best players in my region and on the best team at one point. Sure, it may not mean that much bc of how small my region is but it still mattered a lot to me.

I spent a year playing and trying to improve at this game in hopes of being the best and while there was no Omega Strikers Worlds (unfortunately) at least I got somewhere with that goal?

All of that aside though, it's led to a really interesting place for me in this community. I'm hardcore into the comp scene while also writing about Asher and Estelle being gay asf in my spare time. It's... weird? Having this kinda "two separate lives" thing online but, at the same time, I think I've gotten to experience both of the major sides of this incredible community while it lasted and I'm so incredibly thankful for it.

i shall take this opportunity to ramble about THE BOYS!!!!! the boys are mathew mckoy and alex ruinde, two of the three protagonists for a fantasy book im planning to write titled power doesn't guarantee glory :D

basic info:

Mathew Mckoy, he/him, at the beginning of the story hes 15 but he turns 16 close to the beginning, cisgender and bisexual biromantic!

Alex Ruinde, he/they, 17, genderqueer and just generally queer

through the plot theyre basically forced together again with their old acquaintance aria allen after the death of their childhood friend salveria ramel (they also discover theyre fated to become the closest thing their world has to gods BUT WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW THIS IS ABOUT THE BOYS) but mathew is angry at alex. the two find it hard to get along and it takes alot for them to be okay again. why, you may ask? WELL.

mathew, alex, and salveria were childhood friends (aria was their friend as well but those three were a trio that aria really wasn't a part of) the three of them were all really close. mathew was the goody two shoes good boy, salveria was the silly cheerful one who never took things seriously, and alex was the adventurous and agressive boy who was constantly getting in trouble

like i said, they were close. they were all the three of them had and they were fine with that.

although throughout the first year of middleschool alex became...distant. the others tried to give him space in case they needed it, thinking they'd come around eventually. and for a short time, alex did seem to be getting better.

then the second year of middleschool happened. alex pretty much ghosted the others and outright ran away when mathew or salveria tried to talk to him. coincidentally around the same time rumors started to spread about alex being queer. mathew was hurt, salveria wanted to believe alex had his reasons. (and then the plot happens years later!!! woooooooo :D)

AND DID I. DID I MENTION THAT ALEX WAS THE FIRST BOY MATHEW EVER HAD A CRUSH ON. DID I MENTION THAT HE HAS INTERNALIZED HOMOPHOBIA AND WONDERED "how could liking someone so pure be wrong?". DID I MENTION THE SUN AND MOON DYNAMIC??? DID I MENTION THAT MATHEW VIEWS ALEX AS THE SUN BECAUSE THEY BRING LIGHT AND LIFE TO THOSE AROUND HIM WHILE ALEX SEES HIMSELF AS THE SUN BECAUSE THEY END UP BURNING ANYONE WHO GETS TOO CLOSE???? AND ALEX VIEWS MATHEW AS THE MOON BECAUSE HES A GENTLE THING THAT BRINGS LIGHT AND COMFORT TO COLD DARK NIGHTS WHILE MATHEW VIEWS HIMSELF AS THE MOON BECAUSE ALL HE DOES IS REFLECT THE LIGHT OF OTHERS????? Johan, the disgraced. [FILE 1.]

Current status : [DETAINED] Stuck at the asylum after the [ACCIDENT] occurred. Harper just won’t fucking stop harassing him.

In a few words, how would you describe him?

“Sly, manipulative, two-faced, smug, psychotic, sadistic, selfish” The type of guy to a jab a knife in your stomach and get hard from the sight of you whimpering under him, sick grin on his pretty face

A stat unique to him : Sanity. Keep it high, please. If it drops below 30%. ..Better not to say.

3 main chars and their roles

Whitney. Wants him dead. Fuck, once he breaks out of this damn place, it’s utterly over. UTTERLY. FUCKING. OVER. Fantasizes about killing that motherfucker every night. The reason why he’s in this shithole in the first place.

Sydney. His beloved, his everything. Kept them pure, wishes to protect them from this sick town the same way he was unable to protect himself from it. Only person in the world who gets him soft and makes him drop the cold act.

Harper. Weird doctor that won’t stop asking him to come in. Knows something is up and can see through his tricks, the pen and hypnosis not working on the fallen angel. Harper may think that he has the boy in his grasp, but it’s the other way around really, has him in the palm of his hand like a lab rat. Oh, also, they fuck each other on a daily basis.

Asher, the disturbed [FILE 2.]

Current status : [DANGEROUS] Fresh out of prison from saving Kylar and now roaming around town, not what you’d expect from your typical teenage boy.

In a few words, how would you describe him?

“Hard to read, generally calm, repressed, obsessive, cold, a ticking time bomb” Type of guy to claim he doesn’t care about you before he’s trapping you over the desk, fucking you silly

A stat unique to him : Patience/Impatience. His cool demeanour will eventually crack if low enough. High impatience result in consequences.

3 main chars and their roles

Whitney. (again) Not the same way as Johan, may or may not have unexpectedly fallen for her despite having initially hated her guts. Rocky relationship that slowly developed into something more clear over time, that he’s unfortunately, utterly obsessed with her. Purposefully put a baby in her, fucker.

Robin. His childhood friend with weird tension going on there, loves them to death and has this obligation to protect them from this town. If anything bad were to happen to the poor orphan then Asher would only have himself to blame or so he claims. Lot of pent up guilt from when he found them at the dock, bruised and bloodied.

Bailey. Obviously so, the main antagonist, the one who’s responsible for all the shit in his life. Wishes to overthrow the sick bastard somehow, doesn’t exactly know how, but he’ll think of something for sure. Has a deep hatred for the man though he feels conflicted at times, whenever he and the caretaker are alone in his office, begging for an extra before payment.

Esme, the devoted [FILE 3.]

Current status : [STABLE] Going through her usual routine, school, spa and of course, hanging out at the park and arcade with her girlfriend.

In a few words, how would you describe her?

“Loyal, clingy, delusional, gets attached easily, naive, not entirely what it seems, loving.” Type of girl to always be there for you as long as you do the same! Or else. Wants load of cuddles too, please.

A stat unique to her : Devotion. This is entirely depending on how willing she is to do favors for you. Is proportional to her love. Keeping it high is recommended.

3 main chars and their roles.

Kylar. Her pretty, perfect girlfriend who’ll do anything for her and she’ll do the same too!! What? She’s crazy and psychotic? Nonsense, they can be insane together, giggling about this and that with the blood of their victims on their hands and faces. How silly.

Avery. Sugar mommy that she got herself attached to, sees her as a mother figure, the one she never had since.. she’s an orphan after all. Avery is more or less aware of this and doesn’t know how to feel about it, Esme getting sort of clingy at times though she may have a soft spot for her despite it all.

Great Hawk. That bird understands her more than anyone and you couldn’t possibly get it anyway. Probably because, just like Kylar, Esme is an outcast at her school and not entirely well-liked even with her soft, cheerful personality. The freak tanked that reputation down so now she cherishes every single person she meets, including the Great Hawk. Silly bird gifts her flower crowns and gems.

my experience in the roleplaying community.

🎾 what type of genre of roleplay i prefer to write. love angst, love drama. obviously music based characters are a big thing for me, as i'm sure we all know by now. comedy isn't my strongest area but i do dabble in a bit of black humor from time to time. love horror most of all, that's my first love.

🍷 a character i want to write but never made a blog for. so many characters. a lot of ocs i have in my head that have never seen the light of day outside of my scripts. i don't really do canons but if i were to: bobby briggs from twin peaks, cameron howe from halt and catch fire, merricat blackwood from we have always lived in the castle (actually i did write her very briefly but no one knew how to interact and i didn't either).

🌸 the blog/s that most inspires me. i have to mention my two best friends on here, eve (@thieved) and river (@inrovina). they both have some of the most beautifully detailed universes i have ever had the privilege of reading. my very good friend asher (@rcjoice) who is incredible at writing very flawed and complicated characters while also giving them so much humanity. but also you, lee (@bundledmisery)! and sam (@trainedmutt), of course, i count you both as a package deal; i'm so inspired by the dynamic the two of you have created together, endlessly engaged and invested in the gabedee relationship's highs and lows. there are so many people i want to include but i really do not want to ramble too much, so i might make a separate post for this later. (edit: here's some more.)

🖼 my favorite types of characters. always always always a huge fan of characters who are flawed and messy and make terrible choices. characters who do things that are morally grey or maybe not good at all, but seeing how the writer describes their motivations (without justifying them) always scratches an itch in my brain. characters who you should not like at all but just do, for whatever reason it may be. love that.

-my current favorite song is optimism (as a radical life choice) by Spanish love songs. I love the lyrics "don't take me out back and shoot me, I know my wires are faulty, I've only ever been a kids, pointing out dead dogs in the road". IDK, the whole song is pretty relatable but those lyrics really stand out visually and emotionally. I'm also tired but still want a chance to be, ya know?

-my ennagram type is 6(w5 I think) my Myers Briggs is INFP(-t?) if it matters

- I LOVE YouTube video essays. I'll watch any, mostly on videogames stuff since I don't really like playing them but I love, like, lore and stuff. I really enjoyed the defunctland fast pass one too. The longer the video the better imo though

- I don't remember my childhood imaginary friend. I used to be super extroverted and had a lot of friends so I didn't really need one? I was also so chill playing by myself so I was okay without friends too. I miss that lol

- best way to fall asleep is fan on full blast, 1 giant comfy blanket, TONS of pillows and a stuffed animal

- I did change my name, picked it off a baby name list since that's what my parents did for the first name, not super special, does come with several easy nicknames though which is cool, but no one uses them :/

- I love any of guys videos, but I really like the failed sleep aid. He may not be super relaxing but at least he's trying!!! He's so funny and chill and I like that

- I don't really like David, Aaron, Damien's(just the x listener ones, I love him w/Huxley) audios. Not super into the Tsundere kinda stuff, I'm a little too insecure for that, I like open feelings and stuff

- I don't really have a book or movie I know all the words to, I don't like rewatching/reading things I already know for whatever reason, I will but it's less enjoyable

- I'm platonically attracted to Gavin and Huxley, they'd both be soo kind and supportive in their own ways, a little hype squad

- I ramble about people when I'm tired. Human interaction stresses me out so bad,, people are hard to understand and there's a whole lot of societal pressure to be a certain way and I just don't get it and I'm so tireddd

- I don't really stop at gas stations, but it'd probably be lemonade and chips of some kind

- my current favorite playlist is my 'cringe' playlist, all the edgy alt/emo/rock songs I was into in middle school, they're not great but they're so fun, they're also my guilty pleasure media. I know people hate them but they make me happy

- other stuff - I do have anxiety so social interactions stress me out but I'm trying to get better, I'm a lot more outgoing when I'm comfy with someone, I'm also super artistic and stuff, I enjoy painting and drawing and do that stuff regularly. I believe sharing your music taste with someone is v. Intimate and I hate putting on my music for others for fear of judgement lol

There’s so many little, charming things that would make your everyday lives together so cute and fun. He’s a big sap, and I can see him singing this when you’re feeling down or anxious, doing it silly and over the top just to make you smile.

Runner-Ups:

Lasko is a runner-up for you because two introverts together can be really cute, you know? Let’s be alone together, just the two of us, vibes. However, I like Guy better as a runner up because of how bubbly and social he is. I think he’d help bring you out of your shell and manage social situations, just not quite as tactfully as Asher.
